why is life so weird and exhuasting that the only way to take a break is through numbing your mind through tv shows or just scrolling internet instead of speaking to people, reading books, bathing in sun, going on picnics, drinking coffee/whatever together, and just BEING in the present. we're either living in the future of these goals we're trying to chase, thinking our future self would be happy and want that but we've no idea about what our sense of self is since there's no quality interaction, introspection, time out, and time to just analyse what we like and dislike. it is a bunch of cyclic goals, or standard goals just being imposed on us and we're just required to assume that's the way to happiness. nothing creative to design our own life? funny how the loss of agency occurs at the very decision of having a definition of good life shaped by someone who isn't you. take that power back, design your life instead of following the blueprint given by eurocentric capitalist ableist society which is not only unreal, but also toxic and unsustainable.
