Darkseid is in Zack Snyder's directors cut of Justice League. Steppenwolf was never suppose to be in the history lesson. One of many insane changes made to create that compromise of creative integrity that was the theatrical cut of Justice League aka Josstice League. Films cannot tell diverse, unique, stories if the studios keep sacrificing the directors creative visions for what the studio thinks is the quickest way to the quickest buck. Happy 20th Anniversary, X-men movies!!

I can’t believe it’s been twenty years. This franchise means so much to me: I grew up with it, I discovered my love for the X-men through it (along with X-men Evolution.) It inspired and still inspires me as a writer and artist and remains my comfort fandom to this day. I honestly thought the Fox franchise would be around forever, or at least long enough to see X-23 in a solo film. It’s hard to let go of the things you hold dear...even more so when they went out with a whisper. I’m thankful at least that this franchise lasted as long as it did. I’m thankful Wolverine and Hugh Jackman received the sendoff he deserved. Even so, as long as I love, I have a pretty strong feeling that these actors and characters will always be the X-men to me.
