A slow start, but a damn good vampire series. More under the cut.

I had a friend recommend Midnight Mass to me after knowing maybe a little too much about my background and religious trauma and knowing I loved vampire stuff. And this is a series I can recommend only if you're willing to wait till it gets good. It's a slow build. You may start and ask yourself a few episodes in, where is this going? Keep going because act 3 is just that damn good.

What more can I say? If you have religious trama, this MIGHT be cathartic. It also might be triggering. For me it was cathartic.

The only criticism I can give this is that it is SO slow to start. If it got to the meat of things faster, it would be easier to recommend to people.

@rinniiart, I'm tagging you just for an FYI. No expectations. I just realized, with a start as I woke up one morning, that I forgot to add this to my list of series. Some unique vampires here. A completely unique thing going on that for me, was totally wroth the watch.

Been a While since I’ve posted a Blog , it feels like I’m talking to a void yet again. Guess that’s what I get for having to start my channel all over and failing to use Hashtags the “responsible way.”

I’ve only had it for a year ….and the only thing I ever knew about it before I took the plunge was that Ask Pinkamena came from it and so did allot of early 2000’s EDs ,that it was Chaotic, and that it would be a good mental break from mindless TikTok scrolling That last one , my friend getting it and the start of the end of my High school Senior year led me to making a Lies For the Liars / JTHM/Invader Zim / Momster Energy /Emo themed Tumblr.

Moving Forward from that ; idk what will become of it , It might take a turn for the worse , it might take a turn for the better , or just whatever I end up Hyper fixating on ( which happens to be more religious things at the moment. Contrary to my SpaceHey page Start of April 2024 is probably the best I’ve ever been. Religious or not it’s nice to have something to fall back on when you can’t take on life for yourself. I don’t condone ignorance but worrying about everything and getting nothing done is very different from Trusting in someone you can’t see and seeing answers show up to your problems. So much better than letting them slowly kill you.

If I read that and didn’t have any idea about Christianity or was struggling with sin and or was stuck in the sin cycle constantly hating myself or thinking that God didn’t care enough to help . I’d be confused and I’d think you were one of those lucky people and that something was wrong with me . Or I’d think you were a miserable boring no life brainwashed loco .Or I’d disagree out of religious trama or discrimination against sexuality or gender or just a completely different set of beliefs. All respect! I feel you and I don’t blame you for your opinion I’ve had plenty of doubts over the last two and a half years and experienced slight judgment from the people who claim to “love everyone.”

so let me break it down. In Christianity you believe a man named Jesus was sent from Heaven to die for your sins ( look up some videos on it I’m not great at explaining.) , Gods only son. He was born by a woman who had never had smex with her husband and once he was older he began to teach people in his Town/City /ect. about his Father and About how to love each other . HE WAS Crucified , Dead , and buried After Jesus died he rose on the third day. April 30th today btw !!!

If you’ve been a Christian for a while and either struggled to do everything right . Or are an older Christian, are filled with the Holy Spirit but feel like you sin too much or aren’t fit for the job . Stop for a moment. Stop that thought process God doesn’t hate you for some stupid Sin you keep doing over and over yes , even if you’ve repented repeatedly . It’s not your job to fix it yourself and it’s tricky to figure out especially when you think you’ve given it to God but your still trying to figure out how your going to dig yourself out of the mess you’ve made. It’s simple, repent , pray , fix your eyes on God( focus simply focus on him , watch videos for all I care on things your curious about that relate to anything in the Bible it doesn’t matter.) and ask him what he wants you to do for the day or how he’s going to fix your problem for you. like your life depends on it. And when the devil starts talking Rebuke and Resist. If you have crystals or idols in your house get rid of them if you have placed power on them . Crystals and statues aren’t inherently bad but can be when you place belief or power on them , if you have Sleep paralysis Anoint your bedroom and or home spiritual attacks are real and they hindered my growth for longer then what i would have liked them to . They also worsened my mental health and made me believe I was the problem , that something in me was off , that i would never be able to do anything or get anything done , that I would never fulfill my potential, that I was stuck , I was too self conscious to take myself seriously, but to pessimistic to not feel self conscious when I wasn’t serious. It was too much of everything and too little of what i needed. Not to mention I craved the pain I craved the uncomfortable feelings because I’d gotten used to them and they were predictable . ( wow , how emo of me .)

Sometimes it’s hard to step away from the past

Sometimes it’s impossible to forget

Sometimes that shit seeps into your everyday life , friendships , relationships , religion. It ruins everything and forces you to be too involved or too detached. Mental health is real and when you’re already struggling like that Demonic Oppression happens a little too often especially when you are open minded , or accidentally or purposely open the door to it . Christians with the Holy Spirit , they see the light in you they’ll do whatever it takes to dim it …and it’s not like some funky little spirit that likes to mess around and see if they can make you feel sad or mad and or trick you into doing drugs . No it’s all meticulously planned …..like a subscription to a Channel…only personalized ….your a walking target , but also a walking embodiment of hope to those who no longer have it .

If you’re beautiful your either preserved, mocked or killed

God is out to protect and provide for you

Satan …well he wants to kill you that doesn’t always mean he can.

The innocent bystanders “ who may be complete jerks.” Are the ones who you need to show love to but remember you can’t love others until trying to love yourself ….until you quit hurting yourself ).

Live like you TRULY DIE ! TOMORROW!

the world will end tomorrow or by the end of the week how do you live during that time . Do you become a Nihilist ? Do you remain the same ? Do you enjoy every minute thing , take in every detail , make it a point to talk to the people around you , take a break from the phone and go watch the sunset, hear the crickets or go touch some grass for once ! it’s up to you but enjoying the small things , even the things that are mundane and boring helps tremendously. Granted if you don’t feel a sense of urgency you probably will read this and think nothing . But hypothetically if I could promise you that you would die tomorrow, what would you do . Get closer to God , Break out your favorite CDs to listen to one last time , Go on a walk and reflect , make amends . Spend every day like it’s the end !

If I can I will keep Posting Random Thoughts, Comic Strips , whatever comes to me . but don’t expect my page to loose its “abnormal atracting glisten”….( the fuk ….? I mean..)

Aziraphale really went through so many emotions in the last episode, from not wanting to accept the supreme archangel post, to trying to convince Crowley to go to heaven with him (after Metraton said he can bring Crowley with him) and in a way letting his religious trama and hope take a hold of him, along with his heaven bias, to wanting to decline the offer since Crowley rejected it, to finally steeling himself and going back to Heaven more determined than ever since he realizes Heaven is plotting something really horrible. Do you think he'll still try to make Heaven better or will he go full planning to stop the second coming?

I appreciate your kind words here so much, and I made a massive meta post in response to my current thoughts about Aziraphale in Heaven and the third season.

I think making Heaven better and stopping the Second Coming are one and the same, because Aziraphale will fundamentally change how Heaven operates, eroding its identity and its purported mission until there is no Heaven and no one wants to do the Second Coming (least of all Jesus).

Glog Class: Medium

So i’ve made another class. This one is heavily inspired by the Pathfinders 1e Occult medium, so much as you could say this is a translation of it to glog. In any case, here it is. Medium The spirit world is one of danger, ghasts and weights and other such horrors and immense emotions that come with being unable to rise to heaven. But every now and then some fool figures out not only how to communicate, or to block, but to invite these spirits in. To gain power from the remnants. Done correctly, anything could be possible with their assistance. Very few manage to do so correctly for long. Backgrounds Spiritual A: You are apart of a mildly blasphemous religious order that works with the dearly departed to help get them to heaven. Gain the religion skill B: Your spirit had left your body for quite some time, and when you got control again you found you had to look out for passengers. Gain a +1 reaction roll for all spirits and intelligent undead, And all of such are more aware of you than normal C: You’ve worked alongside your master for quite a while on matters beyond the pale. Gain the mysticism skill and a fancy looking robe (Good for travel, only sentimental worth) Practical A: You’ve been a gravekeeper to wizards for far too long, and those pesky folk eventually nagged you into learning a few things. Start with Gravekeeper skill, 5 extra silver, and 1 trusty shovel (1d6 bashing, 1d4 + 1 slashing) B: You’ve worked with a team of other spiritually inclined folk for quite a while dealing with issues all around. Gain the exorcism skill, and up to 4 exorcist, cleric, and other such trusty friends. C: You’ve seen into the plane of death all your life. It was only natural to get into this kind of thing. Gain the Local Haunts skill and +1 save vrs any effect created by an undead or spirit. Weird A: You’ve somehow managed to posses someone else's empty body. Having one is certainly better than not, at least. Gain the possession skill, at least 1 feature thats uncomfortable about your new body, and roll on the table of professions. You gain that equipment. B: You’ve somehow managed to catch a glimpse of your own death. While horrifying, it has granted you some manner of power. You treat rolls on death and dismemberment as 1 lower. Once ever, if you would die, you may not. Declare what kind of death you saw. Every time you ever suffer this or a similar effect, you instead roll maximum on the death and dismemberment table. You may not use this power to avoid that death. C:  Some cosimic force fucked up your rebirth, and you have memories of your past life.Gain the mysticism skill.  Roll 2 skills on the table of professions, choose 1’s equipment to gain. Each time you drop to 0 or less HP, you have a 50% chance of your past life re-assrting itself. This functions as the split personality trama. Equipment: Charms and Trinkets of some variety, A Censor (can be used as a Medium bludgeoning weapon/a club), Travel clothing, a bag of ritual supplies. TEMPLATE Gain +1 save per template vrs mind effects. A: Summon Exemplar, Deadmen tell Tales, 1d4 GD, Influence 3 B: Experiences, Taboo’s C: Summon Named, Twice the trouble, 1d6 GD D: Summon Legend, Spirit Nature, Influence 5 Summon Exemplar: By performing a seance that takes 1 hour, you can summon a representative of a kind of figure to inhabit your body. They get the benefit of feeling some measure of alive once again, and you get the benefit of what they were good at. You gain the A template of whatever you can summon. Any ability that uses magic or divine favor does not function. To summon, you must be in an area where the summon would be represented by. (I.e a battlefield or training dojo for fighter, back ally for thief, ect.) To use these abilities, you have a Ghost Dice of 1d4. This works as an RSA. If you fail, the effect still occurs, however you gain 1 influence. Once you reach 3 you become an NPC under the GM’s control for the rest of the day. Deadmen Tell Tales: For any non hostile, non combative spirit that is {Template -1} HD or less, you can do a ritual that takes 1 hour to contact them. You can ask them {Template} questions, once per day. You may forgo the ritual if the individual was killed in the past 10 minutes. They may respond how they like, and may lie, but they must respond. Experiences: Now when you gain a template from a spirit, you may roll 2 times and choose one of the backgrounds the class offers. You have access to this (just not the equipment). Taboo’s: By agreeing to either fulfill a specific request or to partially embody your spirit in some manner, you may increase your influence limit by 1. This must be specific (I.e I will not lie is fine, I will be an honorable fighter is not). If you ever break this taboo while channeling the spirit, you gain 2 influence. Summoned Named: Instead of your normal summon, If you have at least the title and the date of death (In the month) of a specific individual, you can now summon them to share your body. They are much more inclined to be helpful to you if they agree to do so. They know everything they knew while alive. The person cannot be above {Template} HD/Class Level. You gain all skills and abilities (except for racial and magic) that they possess. Twice the Trouble: You can have 2 spirits inhabit your body, or gain both the A and B template of a spirit. You can now take on 2 Taboo’s. Summon Legend: You can instead of your normal summon, entice a legendary figure to come from beyond the pale. You must be at the location of their death or have an object of theirs. The character doesn’t need to be real in setting as long as they have enough history and a definitive death. If they agree, You gain all of their templates for the day. In the case of magic or otherwise multiple options, choose 4 spells/options they had access to. If they expend dice for effects, you have {Template + 3} dice that are always expended. Your sum is always the average of the dice expended. Do not roll for mishaps or dooms. Each time you do this, lower your maximum influence by 1. If you ever reach 0, after the day this happens the worst possible spirit in the area than can, will take over your body. Spirit Nature: Spirits or other incorporeal beings that would otherwise not roll on the reaction table do so for you, specifically, at a -2. All spirits, incorporeal beings, or those that can sense such things sense you in a 50ft radius, and you them. If you should fail an effect that effects your mind (Confusion, sleep, charm, ect.) you may choose to have a/the spirits inside you act in your stead for the duration.

some spop meta time... ive been thinking about a post someone else made where they pointed out wrong hordak as a character shouldnt really exist. as much as i liked him, i agree most of everything he did in the story-- showing the plight of the clones, the leaving a cult narrative and parallels with adora, learning how to be a normal person and having more lighthearted moments with entrapta-- could have and probably should have been given to hordak.

i agree with this. i like every morsel of clones content that we got, but the show was already so bloated with neglected characters, they had no business introducing more so late in the game.

ive been thinking about what it might have looked like if hordak did get the character beats that wrong hordak got. how would the story change if they had rescued hordak instead of wrongie?

if they still wanted the comic relief parts they could have done the classic villain has amnesia storyline where hordak doesnt recognize entrapta at first and the memories slowly come back. thats a little silly for hordak though, id rather he stay himself.

they could have them save glimmer and catra at the same time, and then catra advocates for going back to save hordak. that could double as character beats for catra and entrapta, because shed be doing something completely selfless for once and making amends with entrapta for separating her and hordak in season 3, and it could show a moment where the other good guy characters finally decide to take entraptas side and show that she really does have friends, and give her a reason to fight with the princesses.

then the save the cat scene could have been with fighting hordak rather than catra. it might not have the same oomf because adora doesnt have a strong existing relationship with hordak, and entrapta is not a fighter like the others so it couldnt be between just her and hordak.

once on darla though he could then have the scenes that catra had with connecting to the hive mind and theyed have to figure out a way to sever his connection completely. that could be interesting and fit nicely with the religious trama angle/ show how difficult it is to leave a cult with a sci-fi slant, rather than wrong hordak crying it out in 1 afteroon.

then theyed have to give something else to catra though. im not as inspired by her character so i dont have as many ideas for her. one thing i would have liked to see is GLIMMER BEING ANGRY AT HER FOR GETTING HER MOM KILLED. seriously!!! i know they had a heart to heart on the velvet glove but i would have liked it to have been addressed! maybe something with that.

or even given her more tie ins with hordak instead. say what you want about either of them but they have much more in common with each other than they do different.

but if hordak had been rescued we wouldnt have the scenes of him living as a clone in the horde, and getting to lie to horde primes face. that was one of my favorite scenes besides when he got to shoot prime and drop him off the cliff lol. the latter two things could still happen. prime could get him reconnected to the hive mind once they get back to etheria.

one thing they could have done is have a second clone character start to question his place in the horde and use that characters perspective to show all the things hordak showed about life in the galactic horde. he wouldnt be recognizable as the same character as wrong hordak but it would ensure that all the same exposition happened and provide the same clone content. it would still be introducing a new character late in the game but they wouldnt have nearly as much screen time and it would have given more time to an existing character.
