All the jokes about Ken and horses are good but I just wanna say it's such a good parallel to how actual young men get swept into misogyny and the patriarchy.

Like they're told to believe it means men get to be cool and manly and have this power but with that comes extremely rigid commands of what they can be as a man and a cycle of self hatred for never matching those gender roles perfectly. Patriarchy tells men that if they just do exactly what is expected of them, then they get all the "cool stuff" that comes with. That doesn't work though when there's only a small group that actually gets that power, but men will keep trying to fit into those roles in hopes that they can.

In the end there are no horses or the myth men are told, it's just endless cycles of self hatred and ingroup fighting.

And yeah, logically, Vash should have been going after Knives, but he knew how important that battle was to Wolfwood and came anyway. This was a place that Wolfwood was willing to—and did—die for. So, Clockwork is Kronos! Also, the Infinite Realms include all the various afterlifes and hells (there are a lot of them), which means one of the lesser kings in attendance when the High King/Ghost King calls a meeting of Important People, is Hades.

Now Hades doesn't know anything about the new Ghost King, but Danny calls a meeting, so he attends.

And then in walks Clockwork.

Now, the ancients are supposed to be like advisors to the King, but everyone knows why the ancient of time never shows up. He's kinda, ya'know, a little supposed to be imprisoned. As soon as the meeting is adjourned Hades rushes back home to tell the rest of his family that Kronos is free, and they all panic and end up contacting their mortal agents and intermediaries, because, well, none of them really want to risk going 1-on-1 with the titan of time. Which is how the Justice League gets involved and sent to investigate the situation.

So Diana, Shazam, Constantine, and a few others end up making their way into the Zone and going to look for Clockwork. He's pretty easy to find actually, he's hanging around Danny, and finding Danny is just a case of following his rouges. Now they just need to find out what he's is up to. Is he going to attack Mount Olympus and try to retake his throne from Zeus? Is he going to try to reignite worship of him on earth?

And Constantine is like; I don't know what to tell you, but That Is A Ghost. He looks like a ghost, floats like a ghost, radiates ectoplasam like a ghost, and freaking purrs like a ghost. He's not a god, he’s a ghost.

Or; leave a dead guy (even a god) in the Ghost Zone long enough, and, big surprise, he turns into a ghost.

Intellectually I understand that the plot we're currently experiencing in Hearthdell is meant to illustrate why people who aren't Ruidisborn might be swayed by Ludinus' rhetoric, and to show more of the social consequences of what happened during the Solstice. I also think showing these things is important to the development of the themes of this campaign.
