i just rewatched willy wonka and the chocolate factory for the first time since i was a little kid and it is. honestly one of my favorite movies ever now. i cannot believe all the little and big things i missed the first time around, how clever the whole thing is, and especially how visually delightful it is…. i cried at the end when wonka said “don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted; he lived happily ever after.”
