Hiii! I'm so sad I missed the live I didn't notice the notification til an hour after. But I love it, there has to be something planned for them to be in the studio together. But I hope we get more interactions between them. Seriously I need to see Vernon and Mark together I have theories I need proven. Their music video reminded me a lot of 2011\2012 kpop. Like I can't explain it like b1a4 and Boyfriend it was fun and bright and the bridge scene was bananas. Like was a Block B & B.A.P girlie in highschool but something about the fun songs that are cute without being cutesy will always have a special place in my heart. Also who do I have to talk to to have Block B's Taeil to do a song with NCT Taeil. The world will crumble to their feet when those too tiny soulful vocalists combine their power you have no idea i am aroused just thinking about it. No other Collab I want even measures up to that one. You know what Stray Kids and Bang Yongguk would go off. I just want stray kids to go full Mafia, I can see Dream being the ones to go full Mafia in NCT I believe in them.

Oh last night I dreamt about Dan and Phil I actually dream about them often for some reason. But I was at the grocery store with them and their apartments was above the grocery store and I was holding a lotion as we were unpacking the groceries and i got it on my mouth and I just spread it around my lips like lipgloss and Dan said that's something Phil would do while Phil was doing something similar with I think soap. Then I had to go out and I got ready in the bathroom and Dan said are you wearing that out and I said yeah and he said you can't leave the house like that like a dad and i said Well I am and stormed out and phil was on the couch eating and I met my date at the elevator it was like a really industrial looking elevator and Dan and Phil were at the door in a Phil telling Dan to just let me go kind of way. Were they my dads? It felt like they were my dads.

but i have reasons as to why i decided on ten and why i genuinely think you would be really great together. 

now i’m gonna be honest; i do think ten would naturally gravitate more towards extroverted people BUT remember when i put ten in your squad ship ? 

okay this is kind of a continuation from that like you guys will start off really close friends but then slowly he would start falling for you omggg 

while i do see ten as a flirty type, i don’t see him as someone who falls in love easily like there would need to be a certain kind of bond or emotional connection for him to fall in love which is why i see him as a type to fall for a close or best-friend

also, just visually, you would look soo good together !  you kind of remind me of a fairy tbh in the BEST way possible <3 i think both you and ten have this sort of ‘supernatural’ or ‘otherworldly’ allure to your beauty 

you guys would be such an affectionate couple though. i see a LOT of kisses from him: from playful pecks to sweet forehead kisses to passionate make-outs. 

i see a lot of chill dates too like watching movies while cuddling. 

also like ART. both of you are sooo artsy. he would take you on spontaneous art classes or just do art of each other in the middle of the day when it’s too hot to go outside and he would see the way that sunlight shines on your features and like it would be such a beautiful and inspiring sight to him that he would want to draw you but then it’s ten so of course he was like “you draw me too i’m sure i look really good in this lighting as well” 

i also see him taking you on short vacations to artistic cities or towns like paris or florence and just enjoy the beauty of it together. this won’t happen a lot because of his busy schedules but like it happens the experience would be unforgettable. 

when he’s on tour, i imagine he would see certain art pieces or just things that remind him of you and he would send you pictures or videos omg so cute <33

Why or/and how did you get into BTS:

My best friend at the time was trying to get me into kpop. She had already successfully gotten me into B1A4, but she wanted me to also get into BTS since they were a newer band and she really liked them. She had me watch the one variety show where the boys were doing some kind of elevator prank thing? Each one got into an elevator individually and then a crying woman would join them idk lol. Taehyung won my heart over and now here we are.

First BTS concert:

April 1 and April 2, 2017! 

Me, my cousin, my friend, my aunt, and my uncle all traveled to Cali for the shows. We had tickets for both days. The first day we were in nose bleed seats, but the second day we had pit seats. I cried when Yoon performed First Love and also got sprayed with his water bottle during Cypher Pt. 4. It felt unreal. What a weekend!

What member would you say you are most like?

I’m a lot like Yoongi and I think that’s why I find such comfort in him.

❤ CNU ❤ I am not mother material at all, and I admire men who are. CNU is so caring and motherly. Also, I’ve been through a lot with CNU as my bias in this short span of time, and this makes me love him more because it reminds me that we are fighting through hardships together. (I’ll write more whenever I find better words. I am really bad at expressing, so you’ll be like wtf am I reading right now lololol).

Yoyoyo! OK, I'm back with my questions XD. This time it's about ONF though XD. So your bias ranking for ONF and add the reasons, if you got the time XD. (I guess ya missed my many cool questions lol. Need to recover/some inspirations for some B1A4 onea XD)

haha yay you are back~! ✨❤️✨❤️ Actually I have very clear-cut biases in ONF so this was pretty easy and quick for me to do~

J-Us (Seungjoon): I absolutely adore him because he’s the perfect combo of cute, sweet, outgoing, but also thoughtful and mindful of others. Like’s he bubbly, but also knows when to step back and help others (the more quiet members) shine. Plus I think he’s visually super adorable and has a wonderful smile. I’m not gonna lie, him being the first ‘introduced’ member to back in 2015ish during a B1A4 v live where he played ping pong with them, with his face covered with the B1A4 lightstick mask, he was just SO cute~ completely won be over, even back then.

MK (Minkyun): I like him for a lot of the same reasons I adore J-Us, I think MK is one of the most sweetest, and kindest, and genuine boys of the group. I also admire him being kinda the ‘triple threat’ of the group? In terms of him being one of the main singers, dancers, and visuals. He just makes me super happy, since he’s always so bright and cheerful. (Plus he takes the time to feed stray kitties?? Like what kinda angel?!)

Laun (Minseok): AGAIN LIKE THE FIRST TWO Laun is someone that makes me super happy because he is the personification of a cupcake. He is so sweet and respectful, and even at his young age he’s so talented. I just get these nurturing, overprotective feels with him that I cannot control. Honestly, there really isn’t that much of a difference between these top three here, I really appreciate them all for making me so happy just watching them smile.

Hyojung: He does remind me a bit of rookie Jinyoung, except not quite as… ‘grandpa-like’ as some people refer to Jinyoung as being lol. Also unlike Jinyoung he doesn’t seem to be quite as competitive, or feel the satisfaction in having the spotlight, which I think is respectable of him as a leader. But he does share the qualities of being a good source of strength and guidance for the members. I really look forward to seeing Hyojung mature with the group, and seeing where he goes as a leader once he’s more comfortable. I want to see him push out of his comfort zone a little.

U (Yuto): I like U for the same reasons I like Laun, in that he seems like such a sweet, respectable kid. I also admire him for coming to Korea at a young age and learning the language so well (and so quickly!) Despite him being one of the youngest, the others obviously respect him for his dancing, and I love how he helps them all with the moves. I think he really shines on stage, and love that he brings another all-rounder member (like MK) to the group. I think just because he is super quiet though, I admittedly tend to overlook him when it’s a video of the whole group. He’ll come into his own more too though with time~

Wyatt (Jaeyoung): I think Wyatt’s chill and cool, and that he’s actually pretty underrated in terms of like.. variety type stuff. He can be extra and funny, which I really enjoy. I guess with the other members I listed, I get this super sweet vibe that I just cling to that I don’t necessarily get with him? (not to say he isn’t a sweet kid cause he iS! lol) but to me he’s more the hip kid that also has a bit of 4-D personality to him. I’m looking forward to him doing more varieties tbh.

E-Tion (Changyoon): Ok, I gotta be honest, E-tion is the only member that I don’t really connect with in any way. To me, he can come across as a little distant at times. Maybe it’s the combo of that plus him being a little sassy that causes me to just be a little more indifferent towards him. But hey, I felt this way about Baro back during their early days when I got into them, but obviously I came to understand his personality more so I’m sure it’ll be the same for E-tion too~ at the end of the day, I think they’re a great group, and all the members seem to get along and have so many strengths!

Why I Chose My Username: Because Key’s hair this last comeback was amazing and cute AF, like it was so colorful and it reminded me of confetti cake so much. He always manages to impress me with his different looks. Plus he is my ult. bias and I’ve pretty much accepted that my blog is a SHINee blog mixed with posts from some of my other favorite groups.

Average Amount Of Sleep: I usually try to aim for about 7-8hrs of sleep. I am a night owl and tend to stay up to about 1am/2am so I kind of shoot myself in the foot if I have to wake up early for work.

Lucky Number: 3!! It was the number I picked for my jersey when I was in Softball and it has always been my favorite number.  

What Am I Wearing: Right now I’m wearing a Captain america crop top and a pair of old sweatpants that has my high school name on the side of one leg. Plus I’m wearing my very soft moose slippers my wife got me for Christmas last year!

Dream Job: I don’t know…I have two degrees but I don’t know which one to find a job with right now. I’ve been debating on whether or not to pursue graduate school with my second degree because I have a stronger interest in that field, however not many colleges offer that degree as a graduate program, so I don’t know what my chances are with doing that. Otherwise, I might take on just an editing position or a crew hand in any kind job that utilizes my skills with my film degree. 

Dream Trip: To be honest, I would love to have a road trip/beach trip with my friend fam! Especially if I could take them to South Carolina where I have been going to the beach with my family since I was 2 years old. Then I could even show them my extended family’s farm and all the animals there! I feel like a relaxed week at a beach house would be fun. But also, I would love to take a trip with my mom and my sister someday! I think we should go abroad and do something fun, since my mom took my brothers to England a few years ago I feel like just us girls should have a trip together.

Fave Food: Chocolate is bae (I have a major sweet-tooth that I inherited from my grandfather) but also if we’re discussing a regular meal I would say Steak or Chicken Alfredo.

Eye Color: Brown all the way (literally my whole family has brown eyes) 

Most Iconic Song: I feel like between my sister and I, it would be “Like we never loved at all” by Faith Hill just because I vividly remember when that music video came out and how much we would sing that song at karaoke. With my friends, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen because me and my one friend sing that to each other all the time.

Languages You Speak: English, Spanish and very minimal Korean

Random Fact: I played alto Saxophone for 5 years and I love any kind of song that uses good saxophone in it.

October ‘17 Playlist

Hello, friends! Happy November. October went by really fast, but that’s okay, because that just means the holiday season is starting. 🙌

Since it is the first day of November, I thought I would post about my October playlist. Since January of last year, I have been making 20 song playlists every month. They’re usually a mix of new music from artists I like, new discoveries, and songs that I have been listening to a lot in that specific month. 

This one in particular has a lot of overflow from September because I filled my September playlist pretty early. I will link each song and write a little about why I included it. I will also include a link to the full playlist on both Spotify and YouTube (where you can find all music videos if the song has them) up here so you can follow along that way:

1. Fantasy - Superfruit ft. Amber Liu

This song is from the full length album Future Friends by Superfruit, the duo of Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi who are also members of the A Capella group Pentatonix. I am already a big fan of PTX so naturally I was really excited when Scott and Mitch announced that they would be releasing an album. AND BOY WAS THE EXCITEMENT JUSTIFIED. The entire album is SO good. So much so that I was actually debating which song I should include on my playlist. I eventually narrowed it down to 2, and spent the remainder of the month trying to decide between them. I eventually settled on Fantasy, but love GUY.EXE and its music video so much, that I decided to include it in the blog even though it's not on the actual playlist. If you haven’t listened to Future Friends, please do. It’s a masterpiece. 

2. Ugly - Jaira Burns 

I found this song from browsing on YouTube after binging a bunch of Billie Eilish videos. Her music is a bit different as it contains a lot more mature subject matter, but her vocals are delivered similarly to Billie’s, so that drew me to this song specifically.  I also really Jaira’s voice and think it works really well with this genre. I’m not a huge fan of the other two songs she has release, so I don’t see myself following her career too closely in the future, but I feel like she has a lot of potential to grow a large audience around people that can connect with her music more.

3. Sick - Barcelona

I found this song while browsing through my discover section on Spotify. I heard it and automatically vibed with it. The instrumentals, vocals, and just everything about it is such a great mix of a bunch of different styles. Somehow though, it fits together so well and makes for such a great song.

4. Rollin’ - B1A4

This is another roll over from September. On the 25th of September, one of my favorite k-pop groups, B1A4, released their newest mini album. This is the title track from it, and I love it with my entire heart. The entire album is amazing, but I fell in love with Rollin’ the second I watched the MV for it, so I knew it had to be the one I included in my playlist. It is a quite different sound from what B1A4 usually goes for, but it is still so well done and amazing. B1A4 never cease to amaze me, but the entire Rollin’ album is such a masterpiece and was so worth the wait that it took to get released. 1000000/10. Would recommend.

5. Oogie Boogie’s Song - Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack

Of course, since it’s October, I had to include some Halloween-y songs, and what’s more Halloween-y than Nightmare Before Christmas? It is one of my favorite movies ever, and Oogie Boogie’s song is one of my favorite songs from it. It’s such a good song to listen to if I’m trying to get spooky.

6. Walls - Airspoken

This is another song I found through my Spotify discover playlist, and I liked it pretty immediately. It has a very chilling yet rhythmic vibe to it that I really like. Another thing that I found really nice is that contrast between all four vocals in the song. It goes from a smooth vocal, to a deeper vocal, to a more raspy and high vocal, to a weird mix of the three. The different vocalists make the already catchy song even more interesting to listen to, and I just really like it. The group doesn’t have a huge following by the looks of it, but I intend to look into their music more and maybe support them if I like more of their material.

7. Shatter In The Night - Vesperteen

Honestly, I am so sad that I have just recently found Vesperteen, because I listened to more of their music and it is all really good. This song specifically is just a really feel good “driving around a big city at night” type song. I like it a lot.

8. American Love - Smallpools

Yet another artist I wish I would have found sooner. This song landed on my discover playlist and just the very beginning immediately caught my attention. The song is very melodic and the type of song I wouldn’t mind hearing live. I listened to more of Smallpools music too, and all of it is so SO good. The instrumentals and vocals on this and all of their songs that I have heard are top notch and really beautiful. I can definitely see myself getting more into their music.

9. Hobgoblin - CLC

CLC is one of the only girl k-pop groups whose music that I actually genuinely like. I found them quite recently, but I’m still glad I finally found a girl group where I like every song I have heard. This is one of the first songs I heard by them, and is also one of their most popular title tracks. I really like this song and their song Pepe so far, but hope I have time to look more into their music soon.

10. Mess - Jordan Fisher

Not gonna lie, I pretty much put this song on my playlist before I even listened to it just because it’s Jordan Fisher and I love everything that he has ever put out thus far. This song is no exception. It’s very similar to his other music with heavy R&B elements and super strong vocals. Jordan very consistently slays, and his music is always on point. Mess is no different.

11. Bite My Tongue - Logan Henderson

Not gonna lie, I pretty much put this song on my playlist before I even listened to it just because it’s Jordan Fisher and I love everything that he has ever put out thus far. This song is no exception. It’s very similar to his other music with heavy R&B elements and super strong vocals. Jordan very consistently slays, and his music is always on point. Mess is no different.

12. ENVY - coldrain

Finally. I’ve been waiting to talk about this one. This is from coldrain, one of my favorite band’s, new album from this month, Fateless. The entire album is beyond amazing, as expected. This was another situation where I was heavily debating for weeks over which of two songs I would put on the playlist. Ultimately, I just chose the one that had a music video (and then the other song came out with a music video 3 days after the album came out. Go figure.). Still, I recommend the entire album to anyone that enjoys rock music at all. Yet another masterpiece, if I do say so myself. 

13. Close You Eyes - The Midnight Club

I found this song after one of my favorite music critic youtubers tweeted it out saying that it sounded a bit like another one of my favorite bands, Panic! At The Disco. When I listened to the song, I could definitely see what he was getting at. It really sounds a lot like P!ATD’s older music, and the vocalist even sort of sounds like Brendon. More than anything though, I noticed how good the song and band was in their own right. I ended up liking it enough to include it in my playlist this month.

14. J.D. Blows Up - Heathers Soundtrack

More Halloween type stuff! Heathers is another one of my favorite movies. Although it isn’t a horror movie per se, it is definitely a very dark movie. I was reminded of this specific instrumental off the soundtrack while doing homework for a film survey course I am currently taking, and got chills as I listened to it more. It only felt right to include it on this month’s playlist or make it just a bit more spooky.

15. Callin’ - A.C.E

Another favorite artist! A.C.E, another one of my top k-pop groups, had their comeback this month. I love this song, and the music video, and the choreography, and really just everything. Callin’ has the same fast paced mood as their debut song, Cactus. Overall, it is a really fun listen and is even more fun to watch them perform. I am consistently blown away by their talent, and this comeback was just a reminder of how much talent they have. I love this song and I love A.C.E. 

16. Blonde - Waterparks

Keeping with the theme, another one of my favorite bands announced that they would be releasing their new album early next year along with releasing the lead single off of it. This is that single. It does not stray too far from what Waterparks usually releases, but is still different enough to see a musical growth. I especially love the more unclean vocal in the bridge. Blonde has really made me excited to hear the rest of the album. I can’t wait for it to come out in January!

17. Not Thinking Of You - The Royal

A catchy tune I found on my discover playlist. The instrumentals are a pretty normal indie alternative mix with even more normal subject matter. The catchiness of it and the vocals are really what caught my attention and made me want to include it on the playlist.

18. Time Warp - Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack

Because is it really October if you don’t listen to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack? This song is a classic and a staple at any Halloween party. I had no choice but to include it.

19. South Drive - WSTR

I was drawn to this song because of the raw instrumentals and vocals. It almost seems a bit messy during the verses, but comes together for the chorus. When I heard it for the first time, I questioned whether or not I liked it. As I listened to it again though, I did find myself really enjoying the more authentic garage rock band vibe that it has. It does feel a lot more cut and paste than what you would normally hear from more popular bands of the same genre, but it still works really well. I enjoy it.

20. Astoria - Marianas Trench

The last song on this month’s playlist is very close to my heart. It is the intro to the album Astoria by another one of my favorite bands, Marianas Trench. I decided to include this song last on this playlist because this month they released the music video for the song. It is a very beautiful video that very well sums up what the whole album is about. However, the release of the music video also ended the Astoria era exactly two years after the album’s release on October 23rd. It was a very emotional time for me and all other MTrench fans. The album has provided me with so many great memories, made me dance, made me cry, but most of all made me appreciate the intricacies of music so much more. Although I am sad to see the era end, I hope it means that the band can get some much deserved rest and start working on more music. Never say die.

That is it this week, friends. It’s been a rough week, but writing about music has made it a little better (even if it’s a little late). I used to write blogs like this for my playlists when I first started making them last year, but stopped when I realized no one read them. I still have absolutely zero people reading, but ya know, a girl can dream. Still, happy first week of November, and happy day to you, invisible friends.

hellooo today's reminder is one: why does SM refuse to give me subtitles for Kun's skydiving videos. i mean I still watch them and appreciate his pretty voice and him looking that cool but I'd like to know what he's actually saying. and two: that video led me down a rabbit hole of old wayv content and ugh. i need a new season of winformation asap. but i just saw the posters for Winwin's new drama and I'm so excitedddd it looks like exactly my kind of show. ie a romcom with pretty leads, I'm a woman of simple needs. ditto for Doyoung's new drama, it looks really fun already

Hii, it still doesn't have subtitles? It's been out for so long. Maybe you can find a fan subbed version on YouTube somewhere. I remember watching the unsubbed on the Teen Top or B1A4 channel then finding the fan subbed version a week later. Hopefully a wonderful fan subbed it. Oh Winformation, yes please provide us a new season. Also I hope they do the rainbow v series again. It's been so long I doubt it and it probably was just a way to introduce them but I want another series. I saw, I probably won't watch it just not my cup of tea, I like either comedies or something really really dark. Once watched a movie about a teacher that would spank students it wasn't THAT kind of movie but it was really dark one of the students mothers would have it filmed by the security guard with the school cameras and sell it to people. Like her mom saw it happening to her and still sold it. Yeah I don't know what I watch sometimes. I blame Lana Del Rey. Anyway nonetheless I'm so proud of Winwin and I hope his drama does well and he gets more roles ya know after we get another wayv album.

The Kpop Experience

June 6

Mapo-Gu

Our target for the morning was to attend a Kpop event in the Mapo-Gu area. Nic and I are always paying attention to our favorite Kpop groups and their promotions, but this was the first time that we had a hope of attending one of these events since we were actually in Seoul. Thus we marked the address in our map apps and took a train over to the right area.

The event for the group (ATEEZ) was being held at a cafe which opened at noon, and we had arrived at the station just after that. It was only a five or six minute walk to find the cafe, and I was hoping it wouldn’t be too hard to spot. I needn’t have worried, however, since there was a line that confirmed that we were in the right area. We joined at the back, about two-thirds down the street from the cafe entrance, and began our wait.

Thankfully, it was a side street so there wasn’t too much traffic, and the weather was cooler and cloudy so we weren’t too hot. Unfortunately, the line moved very slowly. As we crept along, we realized that many of the people who were first in line were now simply sitting in the cafe (there was a patio) and hanging around, even past when they finished their drinks and snacks. This confused us a little - the event was to buy a drink and then receive some free merchandise for the band’s new album promotion - until we realized that they were waiting just in case the band members happened to show up.

Even more unfortunately, this persisted the whole time we were in line, so it moved at a snail’s pace. There was also a false alarm where someone at the front of the line thought they saw something and then everyone pressed forward in excitement. (There was nothing to see.)

We were pretty patient but all in all it took almost three hours to get in and order our drinks. Although this seems like folly, the problem was that we had reached a point in line where we were committed - that tipping point where if you left, the time was wasted - and so we stayed. In retrospect, we probably wouldn’t choose to attend that particular style of event again but it was what it was.

Feeling the time crunch a little, we took our drinks to-go and rushed to the subway to move on to our next (and much more important) destination - the CJ E&M Center. This would be the site of the M Countdown broadcast that we had managed to get tickets for. The check-in time was from 3:10 to 3:50 and we wanted to make sure that we made it on time.

We rode the subway a few stops over and came up to find that it was raining outside. On the train we had debated whether to take a bus or walk to the building, and decided to at least check for the bus first. We found the bus stop right away and miraculously the bus was arriving at that very moment. It was a relief to get on the bus and know that we would be able to get to the building in a much shorter amount of time.

When we arrived at the center I asked for directions and was able to find the check-in desk. We were given wristbands based on order of arrival along with an envelope of free SM goods like stickers, a pen, and a wristband, all from various SM groups. They told us to meet back there in about 45 minutes, and we were grateful for the time as we hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast. Luckily there was a Starbucks in the building across the square, and we were able to buy some food there. (I had a banana pecan pound cake that was incredibly good.)

After a brief respite in the Starbucks and a trip to the washroom, we returned to the CJ E&M Center to line up. Nicole happened to glance and see a group we like (ONEUS) in the lobby as they were heading past, which was exciting. Then we lined up with our group (English speakers) by number in the order that everyone arrived. They handed out another gift to all of us - a Wanna One LED fan! As a huge Wanna One fan, I was thrilled.

They reminded us that no pictures or videos were allowed once we went upstairs. Then it was time to go into another waiting area. We went up to another level where they had everyone sit on the floor to wait. However, the Chinese and Japanese-speaking tour groups were ahead of us, so we ended up sitting on the stairs. We were a little fortunate though because we ended up on a landing, with a smidge more room.

More waiting commenced, during which time we saw a few groups go into the studio (mostly cute girl groups) and then watched as people from each fan club for various groups were ushered into the waiting area. They were behind us in line so the staff had them sit on the stairs and then the next floor to also wait. There were quite a few people in these groups, and I felt bad for them as they had been forced to wait outside in the rain for some time before coming in, so they looked a bit wet.

I think we spent about an hour and fifteen minutes or so while we waited for the correct time to enter the studio. I didn’t mind the wait too much but I did have to shift around now and then before my feet fell asleep. It was interesting to watch people come and go up the stairs and to listen to the excited buzz all around. The staircase was also open concept so we could see down to the floor below and up to the one above, providing even more people-watching opportunities. When it started to feel long, I also spent a little time reading my ebook.

Finally, at ten minutes to six, they had us stand up and we began filing into the studio. Even seeing the lights through the open doorway was exciting! Once we got inside we moved to stand by the stage. I think we were in about the fourth row, roughly speaking (it’s a standing room only event). I was happy to see just how close to the stage we were and to think about all the groups we could see in person.

After about ten or fifteen minutes more, the show began. There were occasionally off-stage pieces like ads or the intro that we could hear but not see, and then the first performer came on stage. The way that the broadcast worked is that some acts had pre-recorded their stages in the morning, while others were performing live in the evening. Among those that had pre-recorded, some of them still came to the broadcast and performed part or all of their stage for us. Still others were allowed to perform part of their song and then ushered off stage to allow for set changes. If they weren’t there or had to leave early, a screen would appear at the back of the stage so that we could see it. In total, twenty groups or solo artists performed (whether ahead of time or during) as well as one special group from a reality show called Produce X 101 (which I love and will be watching when I get home).

It was extremely fun to see who would show up when since we didn’t know the order ahead of time, and as most of the groups were present for the broadcast, we really felt like we got to see a lot. There was a bit of pushing, but mostly this would happen when fans of one specific group saw that their group was coming up on stage next, and once that performance was over they would move off to the side. What I appreciated most was that many fans and groups of fans would talk to each other and ask if others could let them move closer to the stage to see their favorites. One girl came up to me and asked if I would let her move ahead of me to see ONEUS, and I was able to reply in Korean that I also wanted to see them. She respectfully didn’t move past me and I was grateful. There were also some fanboys that were quite tall but wanted to see Lovelyz, and we were happy to let them do so.

It was a fantastic feeling to be able to watch so many groups and soloists up close and to be able to cheer for them, clap for them, and wave at them as they waited to start a performance or as they left the stage. I also loved seeing them interact with their fans (usually recognizable by their light sticks, banners, and screams). Nicole was over the moon to be able to see ONEUS perform, and they did one and a half songs live. Gianna particularly enjoyed D-CRUNCH for their energy and B1A4’s Sandeul, with his beautiful singing voice. As for me, I found out just how much I love AB6IX (a LOT - more than I thought!!) when they performed their single Breathe as I definitely felt the most thrilled during that song. Each performance was so well done!

The time truly flew by and at the end of it all the groups all came on stage for the announcement of the previous contest’s winner (Lee Hi) and the wrap-up of the show. We waved goodbye to all of the groups as they filed offstage and then slowly filtered out of the studio. Our knees and legs felt stiff and sore from standing tightly for so long but it had been an amazing experience!

As we exited the building we realized that it was pouring rain, and we only had one umbrella between us so we dashed across the street and found shelter at the bus stop. It was refreshing to take in the air sweetened by the rain and we didn’t have to wait too long to catch a bus back to the station. Then it was two trains back to our hotel, delivery fried chicken for dinner, and then re-packing our bags in preparation for the travel day ahead before we could head to bed.

B1A4 2017 Live Space: 4 Nights in the U.S. - San Francisco, CA

<Live Space 2017> 19 February at the Warfield

Start time: 8:05pm End time: 10:03pm Hi-touch: 10:20-30pm

NOTE: This was written the night of the concert, so all of the moments here and what I remembered from that very night. I didn’t have time to post it up until now. Also, no photos because @strongchanpion has already posted the ones I’ve took.

== Pre-show ==

The really, really crazy thing @strongchanpion  and I had ever done was to wait six hours for a concert!! The weather wasn't too well because it was windy and sprinkling/continuously rains. Besides, there so many sirens that  went on that annoyed the daylight out of me. One thing that was cute was the fact that a police car strolled around and asked a question. Then later they came back and put 'What is Going On?' through their intercom. So cool! (Go ahead and check out @strongchanpion‘s fan account!)

During the wait, I have done most of the talking. It was so easy to keep things occupied but later I have gotten tired. The Warfield employees made things complicated because they did not announce about splitting the line in two: the VIP and the G.A. purchasers. It happened like this: I saw people running and I was confused and ran too. I knew it was something involved with VIP because I heard people saying it.

6:54pm was the estimated time that I have gotten in. I went by quick through security because I had nothing to be checked. I almost walked pass a lady by the doorway that was supposed to check my ticket (because I was too excited to get a good seat). Once I came into the Warfield theater, the pit was already full. (B1A4′s Only One was playing!) I walked out from the pit and walked to the GA standing because it was empty! I had to take my chance and did! FRONT ROW SEATS! YES!!  

@strongchanpion​ and I talked about how excited we were for this. We were both ready for the concert! (A quick observation I’ve made during the pre-show was I saw someone looking behind the curtain on stage left. I think it is even staff or B1A4 looking at the crowd! OMG!) Around 7:45pm, the crew volume the B1A4's music louder in the theater. A few songs such as Good Night Baby (I think that is the song), O.K, What is Going On? that played for BANAs to sing along. They did and they were so GOOD! After that, the lights dimmed down at 8:05pm. It was SHOWTIME! And I was so super excited!

== CONCERT ==

8:10pm was when B1A4 came out. They exited stage-left and waved to greet us. The entire theater echoed with cheers! I was in shock because B1A4 were real (and they are)! (My reactions:) I saw Jin Young and said, "No way!" Then my eyes went to San Deul and thought, "San Deul??" I then saw Gong Chan and said, "Oh god, Gong Chan is real!" To Baro, "What? Baro?" And CNU, "It's really CNU!' Overall reaction: "B1A4 is really on stage!!!!" <3

Their first opening song was Melancholy. (I am shocked about this because I thought it was O.K or Lonely was going to be the opening.) They are all so freaking cute!!!  

In the Air, Oh my Go, 악몽 (Nightmare), You, and네에게 한번더 반하는 순간 (The Moment I Fall For You Again) – To sing along with B1A4, I looked at how B1A4 sang and copy the words coming from their mouth to go with the melody. And if I don’t know the lyrics, I will hum the tune.

Sweet Girl – A song that’s never my favorite (but I learned how to like this song), so I rested my voice well during this song.

When the lights fade to black-out, I saw CNU in the center downstage and pulled a long white string out. I knew right away that the upcoming song was Lonely. Just as the beat came on, I heard Lonely and screamed so much!! They are so synced and well-rehearsal! Perfect as they are!! After, they sang 거짓말이야 (A Lie)! My heart died and I screamed even more because this was what I’ve been waiting for! To see them perform this! The chorus and the bridge got me the most (and it always does)!! (Clearly remembered Gong Chan handsomely walking forward to the center. Left hands holding onto the microphone and right hand in his pockets.) One thing I clearly remember was B1A4 was dancing in a dark-ish blue stage (lighting) and once the chorus, the lights changed to red/orange look. From that point on, the lighting started to brightened up a bit more. I loved the song choice between Lonely and A Lie. Good transition!!

꿈에 – The song that B1A4 sat down for a slow song! One thing I remembered from this performance was the members were going to sit. Baro said, "OK, let's sit." And then he clarified and said, "No, no, you guys don't. Only members." 

If (너만 있으면) – This was the HIGHLIGHT of the concert for me! I’ve been telling @strongchanpion about if B1A4 performed this song, I will be in tears and cheers! And I did! (Expect for the tears, LOL!) Hearing B1A4 performed this song live in videos from their concerts and live sessions were amazing but not as much as this one (even if it is not live music played)! I loved when Jinyoung and San Deul vocalized together, having a mini duet during Baro’s rap. The best part on Earth for this song! And especially when Gong Chan is being a cutie that was in between them and pointed back and forth to show that the two got those notes!!! One of the most anticipated song I have longed for! And one of the reasons why I wanted to go since they announced this concert back in December!

The Time Machine –I knew they were going to perform O.K when Baro told us, "We're going back in time when we were young. To our debut days." About eight/nine songs were mixed together into a medley. It was awesome. (Though I couldn’t really remember what had happened!)

 몇번을 (How Many Times) – Oh yes! I was glad that they have performed this because I like how CNU did an amazing job pitching that second verse! *Cheers!*

내가 널 찾을게 (I’ll Find You) – Another good one (again)! I fell in love with this song when I heard it passing by in my iPod, while reading and studying. Once I heard I live, it was mind-blowing! Jinyoung’s pitch was phenomenal! He sounded so much better in live because I saw his gestures and emotions poured. (And he sat in the middle, which was a perfect view from where I stood which was the middle of the G.A. standing.) I was touched.

Drunk on You & Sparkling – From this day on, both songs reminds me of Baro. The excited squirrel! <3 And like what @strongchanpion said, Sparkling was when the shower began. What’s funny was when Baro asked about showering. I rhetorically answered, “Yes, I do need a shower.” (At that time, I was sweating in my sweater.) I didn’t know that B1A4 will literally give us a shower but once it started, there was no stopping.

Good Timing - Water bottle splashes and confetti flew everywhere. The song was repeated over 4x. A beautiful way to end this! (Jinyoung couldn't get over the fact that the concert was ending so he stood on stage so long even if the towels were long gone. He continuously waved by and then did a ten second pose for the audience. This leader is too cute!) The part that the members kept on throwing water to the audience was great! It was hyped and refreshing. I loved how strong Baro and Sandeul was. Every time they were to swing the water bottle to the center, the water reached to the GA standing! Amazing talents that have! LOL!! (Baro was really cute every time he brought a crate of water bottle to the stage for the members. Really well-prepared! :D)

Since the concert was based off from their 3rd album, Good Timing, this album has made a beautiful memory with these fellas! I am glad that the songs I liked are performed: O.K, Lonely, A Lie, If, How Many Times, Yesterday, I'll Find You, Good Timing, and What is Going On?, and Solo Day. Worth it!! They are such great performers and interactive beings! I love the fact that they threw water (from water bottle) and threw towels. So freaking cool and fun! Amazing people. I always wanted to see them live because I always see them through videos. They have done beautifully (tonight).

 == Members ==

Specifically talking about the members, Baro - I must talk about this guy first because he is just everything in this concert. I love the way how he communicates with us and his word choices are really simple and clear! I love when he told Jinyoung to stop playing with Sandeul. He said, "Hey, stop playing around." So cute, like a teacher. LOL. Also, when he threw the towel and it came all the way towards us and some ladies were fighting over it, Baro said, "No fighting." Geez, this guy is too cool and funny!! If I had a day to hang out with Baro, I definitely will! He seems pretty awesome to hang with!

Gong Chan is really handsome in reality. I couldn’t stop looking at him during the concert. At first sight coming on stage, I was shocked because he is really matured looking – much better in live!!

Jinyoung is a cutie pie. He really likes to have fun and is mischief. I like how he did all sorts of things that are amazingly adorable. It was really cute when he said, "SF BANAs, you are the best!" And he did a  thumbs up. A really cute leader! (If I remember correctly, he did the Sprout Dance.)

CNU is so tall and handsome, just like Gong Chan. Yet at the same time, CNU is really interesting. His dance moves and body waves on stage. However, I was so glad to see him did so well for A Lie. And I love his vocals for How Many Times and really glad to hear that live!!!

San Deul, this kid is adorable. This kid really is!! (: I love his live performance and pitch! They are so perfect and well done! So proud! I was so glad to witness his Jo Jang Hyuk smile and singing gestures. Loved it really much. Especially when he sang, "Stay the way you are." Masterful. 

== Hi-touch ==

It happens so quick. We went to the pit but then got lined up. Everyone cheered so loud when they came. Gong Chan and CNU high-five fans from the pit and the far GA standing. When they lined up, I was scared. The line was moving so quick. It happened all too fast.

Gong Chan was first. I thought to myself, “Why does Gong Chan have to be first?” He was intimidating. He was the first person I remember but I had forgotten what to say, even to all of the members. Once I came, I interlocked fingers with him and we made eye contact. I then moved on to Baro. That guy looks extremely friendly! (He really looks like a squirrel too!) We made eye contact and interlocked fingers. Sandeul was the third person. I slightly only remember giving small interlock fingers with him. I couldn’t remember how Sandeul looked like except for smiling (I think he stood where there were no lights.) Moving on to CNU, by this time, I stop to interlock and slap his hands. (I might’ve done that to Sandeul too.) Then Jin Young and his booming music. (I think I got disturbed by Jinyoung's music. Erg...that leader. LOL.) The entire time, I only said, "Thank you.” It was a flash. I knew I could have slowed down but it was better than nothing.

They are all really cute kids and handsome ones. They are so enthusiastic about everything too! The stage and all - they killed it and it was a total live tonight. Love this experience! The fans are the best element in this concert too!!

Also, applaud to their production staffs! The lighting was amazing! Every time B1A4 wanted us to sing, the stage lights will shine toward us. Naturally, as audiences, we know that the light means that we are also included into this show and it’s just not about those on stage. It was a really cool way to tell us that it was time for interaction. (Breaking that fourth wall!)

Overall, a beautiful night. Loud cheers from left to right, top to bottom. Bright lights that made my heart shine because we can see each other clearly. Songs were even better in live than the audio. B1A4 and BANAs made it happen together! One of the BEST moment in 2017!!

Hello again! It’s been a few days! Let me say, a LOT has happened the past few days. Stay tuned for a few blog posts about my adventures since coming to SEOUL!! So Sunday morning I got all packed up my cousin Dal-ah and I went out for brunch on our way from Incheon to Seoul. We both had a variation of a European style breakfast. Mine was the waffle option with eggs, bacon and (amazing) sausage, croissant-like waffles, french fries, whipped cream, and salad (???) And I ate everything on my plate except the onion. It was so good lol. Also Dal-ah got us americanos, which was actually my first americano! Wee! While eating, I was talking with Dal-ah and found out that the drama Doctor Stranger was filmed at her hospital and that she met Lee Jong Suk and Park Hae Jin 😆 I freaked out a little bit lol. Then we headed for Seoul. Apparently the cherry blossoms had only bloomed in the south so far, so that was out for the day, which I didn’t mind so much, I just didn’t want to miss them!  During the drive, we listened to B1A4 because I had just been telling Dal-ah how much I like them. Then we picked up her friend Kwangja whom she had been telling me about. He’s actually famous on social media. And recently also did commercials for Lotteria. So there’s that lol. I was really shy at first, I didn’t say much in the car ride after that lolll. But he was really nice so as time went on I got more comfortable. We got to Itaewon and walked around for a while, going into different fancy stores that I would have never gone into if I were by myself, like perfume stores and over-priced clothes. Just being in the stores made me feel like I was gonna break something and owe hundreds of dollars. Then we we went to get something yummy. We ended up at a chocolate store and got some iced chocolate drink? I guess you could call it a chocolate shake, but it was pretty fancy, and very delicious, though I was still full from brunch! So I couldn’t finish it... Kwangja and I talked about social media, and fans and video views and it was pretty great talking to someone who knows about that stuff! 😊 Next we went to the LINE store which was amazing. SO MANY CUTE THINGS. We walked around, took pictures, and it was super fun. I didn’t get anything myself though because I wanted to save money lol. After that we headed out to find the restaurant we were going to. It was called My Sky and owned by Hong Seok Chun, a famous Korean actor. It was kinda exclusive lol. We took a teeny tiny elevator that barely fit the three of us up, and went into the dining room. First off, the interior was gorgeous. The view was also gorgeous. And also, Hong Seok Chun was there. And also JoKwon was there LOLLL. I was like oh my goshhhhhhh. And then didn’t look at him for the rest of the time cuz I didn’t wanna be a creep 😂 I was taking a lot of pictures out the window, and then a waiter came up and asked what app I was using lol. It is a really good app for pictures though. Pro HDR X 👌🏻 I still didn’t feel very hungry, probably just from excitement so i didn’t know what I wanted to eat. But we ordered a quinoa salad and pizza and a thing with corn chips and beef and it was so good that I ended up eating quite a bit lol. We interrupted our meal and went up to the rooftop to see the view and take some pictures before it got dark. You could see Namsan tower, and the view was just beautiful. Hong Seok Chun came up and was talking to us for a bit and we took a picture together. Then we came back down and finished eating, and got some drinks. I tried a caramel macchiato (I swear if I didn’t work at Starbucks I would have never ordered one lol) and it was really really good. The top if it was sweet, and the drink itself was just right. We sat and talked for a bit, and Dal-ah gave us each a handkerchief that she bought at the LINE store ❤️ By now I became very fond of these two people with me ☺️ I think being with them kind of made me feel like I was the baby sister again, being taken care of and bought dinner. And without realizing it I had been acting like my silly little sister baby self lol. It was familiar and comfortable. I’m really grateful for them looking after me for the day. It was a reminder that I’m really not alone here. God is good. Anyway, we finished up, and I used the restroom which was GORGEOUS. The nicest restroom I have ever seen lol, not even kidding. Though I didn’t have my phone with me so I couldn’t take pictures. Then went up to the roof one more time to take pictures and again, the view was just the best. Namsan tower was all lit up, and the city lights were gorgeous. Then we started heading back to where our car was parked. I didn’t bring my jacket so by now it was pretty chilly, but I survived lol. We stopped in at LUSH cosmetics for a few minutes and then continued on our way. I was telling stupid jokes, and stopping to take pictures every once in a while. Then we were back in the car, and off to my goshiwon/hostel!! weeee! We got there and Kwangja and I took care of my bags while Dal-ah went to park. Buuuut guess what? There was no elevator 😂 We had to lug my two large, heavy suitcases and two other bags up the stairs, to the 4th floor. We were ridiculous lol but we did it. Getting them back down is gonna be another whole issue, but I’ll think about that a few weeks from now 😂 Dal-ah came and talked to the desk woman for me, and helped explain things and how things worked, paid the rest for my room, and got everything settled. Then she and Kwangja were off, and it was just me. I sat in my room looking around. It’s the tiniest room I’ve ever been in lol. I can’t open my suitcase all the way unless it’s on my bed. But it will suit me nicely. It has a shower, a fridge, desk, a tv, a window and some cupboards. And bonus points for having everything within arm’s reach haha. Though the bathroom is down the hall, and the kitchen is down a floor. I went to sleep pretty soon after I got here, because I had my first Korean class in the morning, plus, I was just super tired after a long exciting day. So I slept, but woke up again at 3:00am. I’ll sleep through the night here eventually lol. But fell back asleep, and woke up again. My first day waking up in Seoul. Ready for whatever adventures would occur. b1a4 in chicago!!!

wahhh okay i’m gonna try and write as much of this as i can remember. i’m gonna skip all of the “we had to wait in line forever” stuff b/c that’s boring and who cares lol

since i’m on my ipad (didn’t wanna carry computer w/me all the way to chicago) it’s hard to insert videos and pics and stuff so i’ll upload some of those moments separately and tag everything related to the concert under “b1a4chicago2k17”

one of my favorite things right off from the beginning is that the stage just consisted of the boys. it made the concert feel more intimate without all of the backup dancers and stage props. and they really knew how to work the stage i was so impressed by how much energy they had coming out c’:

and this might sound like a pretty obvious thing but oh my god they’re so SEXY!!! like i nearly passed out from watching them perform “oh my god” esp cnu he was always so extra with the body rolls i just really couldn’t with him even sandeul was really getting into it it was !!! so much fun to watch lol someone said to me while i was in line that after seeing a group live it’s possible for your bias to change...my bias hasn’t changed (i think lol) but omg i need a second to talk about baro

BARO

the king of fanservice and just being an overall sweetheart omg i don’t know what it was….maybe he could sense all of the baro stans were in our section (i think baro was the bias for at least 4 or 5 girls in my row lol) but he kept coming over to our section and staying for long periods of time and throwing us lots of hearts and waving and posing for the camera! the girl standing right next to me was a baro fan and i was screaming for her because he stopped in front of her camera SO MANY TIMES it was like they were silently communicating?? she didn’t even have a sign up with his name or anything like that idk it was just beautiful tbh baro really blew me away with how attentive he was with us i couldn’t handle it and gongchan too! gongchan came to our section a lot as well and he even stopped in front of my camera when he saw i was trying to take a picture and posed for me but the picture ended up grainy :cccc i’m so sad i didn’t act quick enough. he was so cute the entire time though, he really reminds me of a puppy in person and he was making me question my bias list lmao (i’m not gonna lie ok, i love all of the boys but channie…) jinyoung omg lol like...jinyoung was like so...mischievous? lol he was always pulling the weirdest expressions...lots of smug grins and questioning eyebrows raised at banas in this really “you’re being super cute but i’m also judging you rn” kinda way. i thought it was very fitting for his personality haha and he LOVED teasing us especially near the end with the bottles of water. he seriously got a kick out of it and it was the cutest thing to watch him really enjoy himself. also he DABBED and had the most smug grin afterwards and if anyone recorded this moment please send it to me b/c I NEED IT sandeul came over to our section a few times (AND EVEN GAVE ME A HEART) but he mostly stayed in the middle or off to the other side of the stage so i didn’t get many close ups of him unfortunately. there was a lot of back and forth between him and cnu (be still my shindeul bias heart) and as expected his vocals were AMAZING cnu was so cute okay he confused the heck out of me though like one second he was being really adorable and throwing us hearts and being a squishy lil thing and then he’d move his hips and i’d be like ???? then scream “SHIN DONGWOO!!!” (i screamed a lot...like a lot. the girls standing next to me would occasionally give me a look like they couldn’t believe i was screaming that loud lol and i screamed super loud whenever cnu was being RUDE (95% of the time) ) i screamed jinyoung’s name a lot too esp when he was looking in our direction and he’d wave (i was such a mess, most of the time it didn’t dawn on me to have my phone out while doing these things -.- i want to shake myself lol) also there were a couple of times when the boys asked us what our favorite songs off of good timing were and i kept screaming “together” and istg baro and cnu heard me a few times but they pretended they didn’t lol probably b/c they didn’t want to perform the song (idk why tho :ccc) other random things… i got to meet @sassy-lady-of-ithilien and she was so sweet and lovely it sucks we weren’t in the same section but i’m so happy i got to meet her and cry over cnu c’: there were a few times i met eyes w/jinyoung, cnu, and baro and i just didn’t know what to do with myself so i’d just wave and squeal like i didn’t know how to function lol the girl sitting next to me was a pro, every time they looked at her she threw them a heart and then they'd wave and throw one back lol (that’s where i got the idea to quickly throw one at sandeul c’:) did i mention baro ??? the time machine segment was a lot of fun and a lot of the crowd seemed to know those lyrics which i think energized the boys c: even though they only did parts of the songs it felt like “what’s happening” was a little longer than some of the others and people were REALLY loud during that, it was so great to hear!! i tried to capture most of that part on camera but then i got too into the music so i put my phone away lol i’ll upload w/e i have though “nightmare” was one of my favorite performances b/c the choreo is so sexy and cnu was REALLY feeling himself (which i love omg) and of course “good timing” was amazing b/c they closed with that song and everyone was so hype and the boys were teasing us and throwing water and it was wonderful close to the end baro was saying one of the things they love about chicago is the pizza and he was really sad b/c they didn’t have time to eat any and it was so cute b/c one of the girls behind me screamed “you can take my credit card!” lol 

and when he said it was time for she show to end and that they’d have to go back to korea soon to end everyone shouted “no!” and i told them not to go back to korea b/c we’ll miss them too much and they all looked so amused c’:

baro made us all put up our fingers and pinky swear we’d wait for them to come back again :c (ugh he’s so cute) also it was really cute when baro was teasing us behind stage before they came back for the encore. he’s sooooo…!!!

OKAY HI TOUCH imma be honest i don’t remember a whole lot but b/c it was so fast i mean their hands were so soft and they all looked so sweet i wanted to hug them :c BUT two things did stand out to me first, was BARO again, he was the first person in the line for hi touch and when i told him i loved him a lot he told me loved me so much. i know he says stuff like that to fans all the time but maybe because i saw him in my section a lot i felt this personal connection with him c’: cnu and sandeul were next i think (i really can’t remember omg) but i remember GONGCHAN b/c when i told him thank you and that i really loved him he genuinely looked touched my chest started hurting b/c of that expression on his face OH AND JINYOUNG freaking jinyoung had his hair pushed back and up into this suave looking style (very fitting for him) and i wanted to scream omg he looked so hot like that (sorry that’s 3 things) it all felt so surreal and i didn’t actually start crying until i was outside and on my way back, everything finally hit me :cccc then i ate a huge brownie sundae while sorting through my videos and photos and trying to type as much as i could remember before falling asleep lol i’ll probably add more once I actually upload the vids and remember things but for now I think that’s it c’: i hope b1a4 comes back soon, i love them even more than i did before and hopefully it won’t be as long of a wait next time!! if you have any questions about any specific thing let me know c’:
