To Call A Storm To A Remote Location
Prepare for the purpose a map.
Best if it’s hand-traced from an accurate map, but an image of an accurate map can be printed on paper if necessary.
Ensure the map is sufficiently large and detailed to encompass the entirety of the area to which you wish to call storms, and if possible (not required) print or draw the map on paper prepared first by smoking it with incense or better yet, the smoke of an herb(s) appropriate to your denominations methods for bringing rain. Broom has been used, as have ferns. If this method is chosen ensure adequate ventilation, this is best performed outside.
Once a map is prepared, lay it out and directly above it place a dish of water (rainwater or forgewater is best but not necessary) and have either a feather, a pendulum, or an aspergillum ready. To bring more vicious storms thorns may be burnt to ash, with which the water may be adulterated, to force heavier rain, the ashes of the chosen herbs may be used instead.
Call forth whatever spirits your denomination demands and communicate to them your intent. I use this:
“Tis not a map I wish to wet;
But the lands it holds instead;
And thus where tears of water fall;
let there, instead, great storms be called”
Repeat this as you enter trance, and stir the prepared water until it sighs with power.
Use your selected implement to collect water, droplet by droplet, and ever chanting, wet the map thoroughly in the places storms are to gather until the work. This method is simple, and adaptable to most forms of storm calling work.

the epilogue has inadvertently made me realize that most of my crown of choice related theories involve team strq somehow.
summer? searching for it at beacon.
tai? in some way guarding it.
raven & qrow? extra keys to the vault.
maybe the real crown of choice was the reunification of team strq, after all.

Yesterday I witnessed a car either overlook or blatantly ignore not one, not two, but three signs indicating not to drive through this tunnel, and of course promptly get stuck in it. It would have been merely amusing had I not been trying to get through the tunnel by bike myself, with a scooter behind me. (There is the illusion of space to exit, but in reality not enough turning radius into the next alley.) Still, the car was in denial and having a go at it, now angling to leaving a gap through which one could potentially squeeze- and then suddenly backing up again. Although I was at the head of the queue, I didn't feel like taking my chances with the jaws of death. Impatient, the scooter bypassed me, and then also thought better of it. Finally our saviour arrived, an auntie on foot who was having none of this nonsense and boldly scampered through, which seemed to put the vehicle in its place and we all followed her to freedom.
Taiwanese streets, while at least less chaotic than China (and fewer feral dog packs than Thailand) still leave much to be desired for the pedestrian. Recently citizens protested a proposal to ease minor traffic offense punishments. And why was this proposed? "According to the amendments to the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, these 10 "minor" violations with fines of up to NT$1,200 or less can no longer be reported by the public, with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) citing the heavy burden placed on police by skyrocketing reports of traffic violations for the reversal." I ain't see anyone running to go fish him out
my bets are on either Law's crew's submarine or fish people and/or sea kings ex machina, cause we know plot armour and his presence in the promo images for next arc won't let our protagonist die

i really cannot express enough how much i fucking despise that so much of people's wellbeing in our current society is contingent on having a biological family that cares about you

Happy Storyteller Saturday! This is your invitation to share a little bit of information that exists in your head about one of your characters but that doesn't get mentioned in the book itself 💜
Ohh, thank you. ^.^
That is a difficult one. I tend to stuff as much as I can in there, or allude to it.
But there is one thing that just plain doesn't come up (but might in the series with modern buildings getting awfully tall and airplanes being a thing) which is that Lucient is afraid of heights.
It is a death he's not experienced and one he'd rather not, ever, so you can keep your terrifying skyscrapers and metal birds far from him, thank you.
