This is just what I think the sides would watch on YouTube.. :) 

Warnings: swearing, mention of depression and anxiety 

just found this in my drafts, I have no idea how long it’s been there

Also- the names aren’t color coded because it wouldn’t let me do that for some reason

Logan:

- MatPat STAN

- Film Theory, Food Theory, Game Theory, all of it

- After he watches a movie for the first time, he sees if any of his faves have made a video on it yet

- After a debate (or when he feels like debating) he looks up the topic on YouTube to see if he can find any video essays

- He knows what ASMR is, so you know what I’m about to say

- HE IS OBSESSED WITH ASMR, okay???

- Especially personal attention centered ones bc he doesn’t get personal attention irl

- Started watching Buzzfeed Unsolved with Virgil after AA

- When he’s had a bay day or week he searches for those videos that are titled “This video will make you cry”

- Not going to elaborate on that one so here ya go, my fellow Logan stans

Virgil:

- Watches emo band music videos (obviously)

- ADORES those SFX makeup artists

- He may or may not want to be a makeup artist in his free time

- When he’s anxious, he watches ASMR

- No one is aware that he does this

- He knows that Patton and Logan watch it, but he’s given them so much shit about it, he cannot ever tell them he likes it too

- One day when he was having a panic attack, he thought “oh what the hell, it’s worth a shot”

- Has been hooked ever since

- He loves conspiracy theory videos, as we learned

- Religiously watched Buzzfeed Unsolved

- You know those people who make sculptures that look exactly like Tim Burton characters?

- Yeah, his watch history is FILLED with video after video of people crafting Jack Skellington or Emily, the Corpse Bride

- He may or may not have tried to make one himself

Patton:

- Obviously watches the videos where the pet’s army parents come home

- LOVES baking videos, specifically Preppy Kitchen, because he adores how neat everything looks

- When he’s had a rough day, he makes a quick run to the store so he can whip up one of the recipes from the video

- Really likes art related ASMR

- It soothes him

- He sometimes watches gaming videos

- Games like Minecraft

- Or anything on DanandPhilGames

- When he’s depressed, he watches music videos from Thomas’s favorite bands when he was a teenager

- For that sweet sweet nostalgia

- Clips from The SpongeBob musical cheer him up as well

Roman:

- Watches broadway performances

- His recommended is filled with small artists who sing covers

- Seeing people following their dreams makes him so happy

- But when he’s feeling regret about the wedding, he actively avoids them

- Sometimes falls down an art rabbit hole because it's SO PRETTY

- He doesn’t understand why Virgil likes the SFX makeup videos, when the beauty guru’s videos are drama filled and “have pretty makeup”

- As we know, he likes epic fail videos

- When he’s having a bad day, he will watch those for HOURS

- Really likes the commentary videos about 90 Day Fiance

- Does not watch the show outside of those, but absolutely LOVES to watch those

- Or maybe he does watch it, you decide ;)

Janus:

- You KNOW he is subscribed to every single drama channel out there

- When he gets a notification from one of them, he stops whatever he is doing and goes to watch it

- All for the tea

- Okay this may sound a bit off for him, but he cannot stop watching YouTubers who dress like they’re from a different time

- Rachel Maksy, Karolina Zebrowska, etc

- He loves him some chaotic queens

- And he gets to learn new things

- Not only about history and fashion, but about sewing

- This man made his capelet and that is not up for debate, I’m sorry

Remus:

- Watches pimple popping videos

- And cystic surgeries, apparently

- Virgil got him into SFX makeup, so he enjoys watching those videos when he needs something a bit tamer

- JermBot is his FAVORITE BITCH

- His chaotic energy is *chef’s kiss* in his opinion

- Watches old clips of Evil Knievel to see if he can attempt the tricks

- Starts fights with people in comment sections for funzies

- Also watches Buzzfeed Unsolved

- Because why the fuck not

- Okay this next one is kinda angsty but here we go

- He and Roman used to watch Simply Nailogical together so they could do art on each other’s nails

- The art that Roman did was a mirror image of Cristine’s, and Remus’s was, well.. You know-

- HOWEVER - that does not mean that his nail art wasn’t good, because you know damn well that it was

Janis’ Headcanon Board

I feel like all the sides have a distinct scent that only Remus really notices. And the others aren’t aware of it because they’ve grown accustomed to their own scents. 

Remus: Unsurprisingly smells like trash. Sometimes Janus makes him do something about it like putting on deodorant or using a body spray but since the smell emanates from him it just makes him smell like someone sprayed a trashcan with body spray

Janus: Pumpkin spice with a hint of red wine. 

Virgil: Smokey, like a burning campfire mixed with white lilies (Flowers that are often used to represent mourning) 

Roman: Roses

Patton: Freshly baked gingerbread cookies, he has also been told he smells sickly sweet like a cake shop. 

Logan: Chemicals, like stepping into a sanitized science lab. He tries to cover his up the best he can after being compared to hospital room.

Sanders Sides cooking headcanons cause for some reason I was thinking about them-

Roman: a great cook but only cooks somewhat strange and creative things, ask him to follow a recipe and it’ll be inedible

Logan: a perfect alright cook, can make literally anything as long as he’s got a recipe but without one he’s completely lost

Virgil: not as bad of a cook as you’d think, with a clear enough recipe he does great, but it stresses him out so he rarely does it. No one else knows he can cook tho cause he’s terrified of being judged so he doesn’t share

Patton: can cook like three meals, no recipe needed it’s all in his head, anything else however will end in disaster. He’s a really good baker tho

Remus: a great cook, but only to his own taste, which means he’s banned from the kitchen so he doesn’t poison anyone again.

Janus: a wonderful cook most things he makes are delicious, but you never know what you’ll get. He loves disguising foods as other foods to mess with everyone, it’s usually tasty enough for them to not mind too much

wanted to make a sort of ref for everyone so i can keep track of everyone's designs, heights, etc

general:

the sides work with a kind of cartoon logic (kinda like who framed Roger rabbit) which is what their shape shifting and such is, they can survive pretty much everything, dont bend to reality type thing

i also dig playing around with the idea that they just arent human, they dont need to eat, sleep, even breathe or blink if they dont wanna. They just play more human around thomas so they dont freak him out (everyone but remus at least, dude doesnt give a fuck lol) they all have their priorities regarding that kinda stuff. like logan doesnt eat or sleep almost at all (there r exceptions tho obvi (crofters))  while patton rly likes to cook and bake so why not eat the stuff you make? meanwhile remus eats literally anything he can find

they can also float if they wanna, same thing where they just dont around thomas. this came about me just imagining remus consistently floating around in the mindscape instead of walking for whatever reason? so yeah they can do that

theres a core mindscape and a ‘dark’ mindscape, that sorta works like the upside down from stranger things (as in the dark mindscape is like literally upside down and mirrors everything, like this)

everyones also got their own unique doors to their rooms. logans is very sleek and modern, pattons in more childlike and almost vintage, romans resemble castle doors while remus’ is more like a dungeons, virgils is typically angsty teenager with tons of posters and ‘keep out’ signs, and janus has tons of locks on his

design wise the core sides have straight teeth and fluffier hair while the dark sides have sharp teeth and rougher(?) hair (since changing, virgil has vampire-esque fangs)

logan:

square rimmed glasses

loves the rain

unintentionally fidgets with his clothes, always adjusting his glasses or rolling his sleeves up and down or messing with the buttons or his tie

playing more into the whole ‘sides dont have to eat thing’ he finds food kinda nasty lol, again only rly eats stuff thats very good to him (ultimate picky eater basically) patton has tried and failed many times to get logan to try and like new foods

roman was the one who got him to try crofters

watches those long ass video essays about random topics on youtube for background noise

patton:

round glasses and heart eyes

has roller blades/skates! specifically these ones that retract the wheels. good way of getting energy out (even if hes super clumsy with them)

tallest + dad bod

tons of bandages, kinda playing around with the phrase ‘broken heart’

him and janus play video games together (both of them are terrible lol)

definitely listens to dad rock/dad music

roman:

starry eyes!

crown can float on its own (same w/ remus’)

has one of these couches in his room to dramatically faint onto

him and remus dont share a room, but they have a sort of portal to each others rooms if that makes sense. a big mirror but instead of reflecting, its showing into the other room and only the twins can go thru

wants to be his own side after the split

roman and remus pierced each others ears when they were younger

virgil:

decently tall but slouches a lot which hides it (slouching hes shorter than the twins but still taller than janus) also rarely stands or sits straight at all so it kinda shocked the core sides when he showed them how tall he rly was (queue roman being mad cuz hes actually the shortest of the main four lol)

has stereotypical emo hair and still has some purple dye in it

hot topic skeleton fingerless gloves and muddy sneakers (idk why it just feels right)

tons of random bruises

draws his nails black with sharpie

listens to metal music to calm down. remus got him into a lot of numetal, screamo kinda music when virgil was still one of the others, it was one of the few times theyd hang out and virgil wasnt 100% freaked out by remus

definitely experimented with scene fashion when thomas was a teenager

drinks tons of energy drinks

janus:

bow wrapped on his hat

long flowy cape and heeled shoes with spats (thats what theyre called right?)

uses the staff from pof as a walking cane

speaks fluent pig latin, remus and logan are the only ones who can somewhat understand what he says (remus cuz hes been around janus so long, and logan wanting to research and understand whatever the hell janus is saying) it also has always drove virgil up the wall cuz hes never been able to get it, janus will start speaking it just to annoy him

only rly relaxes when by himself, always kinda putting on a mask with the others and thomas, regardless of how trustworthy he considers them

constantly coming up with proper plans and schemes, typically wouldnt let remus near them with a 10 foot pole (affectionately)

knows how to lockpick

remus:

eyes can go all crazy, pupils can be different sizes and such (there was a cartoon that did this where the eyes would go red and have a ton of rings around the pupils like spirals kinda? i cant find a pic of what im rly visualizing rip i hope that makes sense)

is like half an inch taller than roman and will never let him live it down

enjoys all the ‘bad’ disney/pixar movies. (cars, home on the range, etc) and like unironically enjoys them. prolly started ironically to mess with roman but he genuinely find those ones the best and cant fathom why theyre disliked (totally not self-indulgent cuz some of those movies are my favorites)

comes up with random weird plans and ropes janus into them whenever possible, janus plays along best he can

somewhat wants to fuse back with roman (even if hes unsure why)

Headcannon:

Patton definitely has dad sneezes. It’s the explosive sneeze that ricochets off the wall and can be heard several countries away. It will ring in his ears before he rates it, and chuckles about the inconvenience of it.

The sides will be horrified about the sneezes at first, but they’ll have to get used to it. Especially it Virgil can hear it over the blaring music in his headphone.

Patton, sheepishly, after sneezing so loud: gee sorry Remus I didn’t mean to wake you!

Remus, obviously disappointed after appearing: it sounded like a scream, I thought you were dying.

Patton: aww thank you for coming to save me!

Remus: I wanted to watch 😞

Janis’ Pillow Pile (Aka Fluff)

+ When watching movies without Thomas, the sides like to have cuddle piles, usually Patton starts them but occasionally Roman will too.  + Janus and Logan have a book club together. They pick a book to discuss at the end of each month. 

+ Virgil likes to make things out of spiderwebs,  sometimes its cool patterns, sometimes its little animals, he finds it relaxing. 

+ Remus and Janus have their own movie nights where they watch horror movies. The whole time, Janus comments on how stupid the main characters are while Remus gets ideas for intrusive thoughts to give Thomas.

First off, the new sanders sides was amazing and fun and I loved it!

Second, I have a new headcanon: Remus does needle-felting.

Mr Fuzzy looks like it could have been at least partially made through that, and Remus would absolutely love an art form that involves repeatedly stabbing something with barbed needles.
