((Sorry for my english if i make any mistakes rn)) but I was wondering - does MC ever feel sad about how everyone in HQ view her?? I mean, I know someone like Oikawa or Iwaizumi lost their best friend and MC feels sad for them, but the others ?? I mean, i'd think they only like me because I have face of their ex-lover or friend and not because I am "me". 😭 if u know what i mean!!

Ooft this is a bit of a long one haha.

I'm assuming that you have read all the latest chapters too but this was actually briefly addressed in one the recent chapters, when MC was speaking with Ushijima!

In the end, MC's priority at the moment in the story is the Rot and the other issues going on in the world so she isn't beat up about being mistaken as AltMC or anything. MC has already come to terms with that earlier in the story, understanidng and realizing that she indeed shares the same face as AltMC and that AltMC had a part in their lives before her appearance; MC does not blame characters like Oikawa for sometimes seeing AltMC in MC.

That being said, when Ushijima spoke to her on the Wall, MC was touched and moved by his words that essentially saw her as her own person and not AltMC! Her feelings over it is not on the surface, it's not at the forefront of her mind because there are so many other things she has to think about and struggle with so MC did not even realize until that moment that perhaps a small part of her maybe felt a sense of insecurity in how they perceive her; but do not mistake this insecurity as jealousy or sadness over AltMC!

Her insecurity has always been in her strengths as her own person and her time in Hyquile has indeed helped her grow and every time her help was acknowledged, MC envelops it into her heart deeply as someone who is insecure. At the same time, her powers did come from AltMC and she knows that she is crucial because of this power.

So when Ushijima tells her to take care of herself because she is important too, he resonated with the silenced side of MC that has been pushed to the back of her mind in favor of everything else - that she herself, as a person, is important not because of her powers or because of AltMC.

i don't know if you're still looking for name suggestions but i'd like to suggest the name "Ai" (愛 - Love), i've always thought of MC as super cool and accompanying her on her journey to conquer the troubles she's facing has been an honour! i hope she succeeds in conquering her troubles at the end because love conquers all, right? So Ai conquers all hehe (this sounded better in my head :P)

Hii I'd like to give a lil suggestion about your rewrite character's name. Considering how the story gives off fantasy, mystical and even medieval vibes for that matter, look for names along similar lines. Like Xian totally fits the vibe but since it reminds many people of a guy (all thanks to genshin heh) maybe Xia would be more accurate.I personally like the name Raya coz it fits both ancient and modern au and has an aura to it. Im kinda out of characters here so ill j do an ask2 sorryy :3

I definitely have it in mind to give the protag a meaningful name, but at the same time we have to keep in mind that the protag is not from a fantasy/medieval world and is really just a regular person from our modern world XD; so it'd be out of place to give her a name that doesn't fit in with her background, which is that of a student (keeping this in the rewrite!)

I didn't want to reveal the chinese characters that makes up Xian's name yet since it's still up in the air (pending meaning and whether it is a strange character combo to have in current society) but definitely even this placeholder name isnt there willy-nilly without meaning to it hahaha once I have decided on a more solid name, I'm giving her the same treatment I gave a different character in the rewrite...and that is the Chinese parents/Asian family check! hahaha I ran through any characters that had a Chinese name through my family to get their thumbs up XD;

And I guess if this and the previous asks didnt reveal it already, atm the protag is of Chinese ethnicity; one or two other characters are too. It's definitely a colorful cast at the moment with characters of varying backgrounds haha... one of the things I'm struggling on in the rewrite right away is deciding proper names and backgrounds for each character whilst balancing it with that of their Hyquile counterparts orz (on that note, I am quite happy with a small fun fact regarding his name that I created for the OC that takes over Kuroo!)

As for when the next chapter of GWS is coming out, I do not have a set date for it unfortunately. I write when I can but I have priority on commissions and life atm (work hasn't been kind to me for the past year, and it's been acting up again recently... if things go south I might be jobless by the end of the year so it's a point of stress rn OTL). Due to that, I havent been able to work on C38 as much :(

Firstly, Xian is a wonderful name, (i thought at first it was a boy-tho i think it’s because its similar to xiao-but it fits for a girl too) I hope it didn’t take you long to come up with that name since you said it took you 3hrs but who am i to judge-

Secondly, i think that the pitch kinda spoiled half or how the story is supposed to be but I’m pretty sure if i see it before gws i would have been interested on how the it will go so it depends on the readers if they think they were spoiled or not(I still love the pitch you made regardless), I suggest tho to hide the fact her body is in a coma to leave the readers guessing on what happened to her body back in earth(like i said, I love it regardless). Lastly, I give a huge support on everything you’re about to go through about the book and everything(i said it again-), Tho, hope u don’t mind me finding people doing rewrites amusing because i can RELATE, Good-luck on that coaching program too <3.

As for Xian's name, LMAO you're the 2nd person to tell me that it reminded them of Xiao originally haha And I guess it can come off that way considering our fandoms and our addiction to genshin 😂

But it did take a bit of time to think of Xian (abt 2hrs? probs more as it is still ongoing), even though it is a placeholder still. There's definitely a reason why it is Xian, coming from the mandarin characters I chose for her name, plus Xian is also a girl's name in Chinese (the sound, but characters play a big role in deciding it) ; I haven't decided whether I want to go with the current characters chosen though so we shall see!

The final pitch I settled on actually removed the coma bit! Though it was for word count reasons+avoid unnecessary debate before reading on 'how tf her body is surviving' but I do get the whole 'spoiled' for the reader part about her body (I defo had a eeek moment putting the coma in at first). I originally had it in there because I did not want them to think it's 'just an isekai' fic as world hopping is crucial to the protag/story too but I managed to find a different way to get that across! So this was good to know that others also feel that it is best kept a secret! It's definitely hard to decide what to keep and what not to, even in the long summary I temporarily wrote for the rewrite since it had to be taken in consideration that it will no longer be a fanfic and has to be substantial enough to hook in readers that are not attached/invested in the characters prior, unlike HQ fans.

There's definitely a lot to be tried and learned from still moving forward, beyond this pitch and all, as I try to turn the fic into something proper! So your thoughts and feedback really helps me consider how others perceive it and lets me balance against other things that needs to be taken into consideration!! TwT

Who's your favorite genshin character? :)) or maybe you have more than one!!

I-- I DO have a favorite character (s).

Let me just preface this with how I know whether someone has been following me from my early days because those who did have likely seen all the moments I frothed, cried, and died over Albedo and Xiao.

And this is where it has always been a complex question for me to answer because I love these two. So.Damn.Much. And okay, I know you are not asking me to choose anon but hear me out, this question has haunted me so many times via irls, ppl in the gws server, and so forth, and has been a source of great stress at one point because friends amirite?

I drew shit fanart and wrote crappy fics for both of them. Several times. Recently I dropped the first chapter of what I hope to be a slightly intelligible Albedo fic. I have dozens of Xiao fic wips. My irls literally got me a cake with Albedo on it and I screamed. I took a pic with an Albedo cutout and edited it to make us look like lovers. My tumblr is literally named Xiaonesis. I C6-ed both of their constellations in the game (one by stupidity that I regret and will never do again. The other through patience and perseverance across an entire year of saving up [and some fuckin ridiculous manifestation as I barely used half of the wishes saved in the end])

But who do I love most???

I always keep the two in my team and I have been bullied (affectionately) before by multiple people that I have to choose one and I refused to choose. Shoot me but you won't make me choose!!

However, some recent events have made me, unintentionally and inevitably, possibly, maybe, spill my bias without my conscious consent/awareness. To put shortly, I recently noticed I maybe have a TEENY bit more bias for Albedo.

AND I KNOW SOMEONE WHO WILL SEE THIS AND COME BULLY ME FOR IT BUT LET ME REITERATE THAT IT IS JUST A TEENY BIT THAT IT'S STILL ABOUT EQUIVALENT LEVELS!

But to answer your question anon, my absolute favorites are certainly Albedo and Xiao, topping all the other favorites of mine, who are: Kazuha, Shikanouin, Razor, Chongyun, Scara, and Gorou. Diluc, Kaeya, and Ayato are faves too but they're probably on the 3rd tier if the others are 1st and 2nd tier. And I already know Al-Haitham will grip my heart (but never my wallet) with an iron fist when he's out. (shit, why all my top faves the tiny bbs)

Annnnd I wrote a short fic to answer an Ask that could be done with 2-5 words. This is why GWS has 300k+ words and counting.

Did you see the new fatui trailer??? What do you think? Because when I saw Dottore😭

I just did after this Ask actually hahaha I'm usually not very diligent in keeping up with new content releases due to time and I honestly missed more videos etc from Genshin than I would like to admit, but considering how much noise was being made abt the latest trailer (and of course to respond to this), I motivated myself to watch it proper...

The trailer was really nice, I always enjoy Mihoyo's videos and the way they put pieces together without fully animating the scenes; gives it a very storytelling kind of vibe but also, I had so many random thoughts and comments about things in the trailer fshjdbfjh

1- the entire thing gave me Kingdom Hearts vibes, especially with the chessboard commentary/scenes. Very KH3. Also the Harbingers here has the same energy as the Nobody's from KH3, only less cloaked and less chaotic (for now)

2- The lady(?) laying on the coffin reminds me of that one dood from Twisted Wonderland. Forgot his name.

3- a worker of Gringott's at 1:00 XD;

4- Baizhu in glasses...is that you Aizen Sousuke?

5- HNGGG I THOUGHT NEW WHITE HAIRED HUSBANDO (I dont have a type I swear) BUT THEN SHE SPOKE. But I would let her step on me still.

6- Childe, that cloak and scarf combo does not complement your torso at all. He looked like a minecraft block at first. Im sorry but just spitting facts.

7- Okay so, I dont read the Genshin manga but I have seen images of Dottore from it before and I didn't think anything of him/his design didn't appeal to me. But I can get behind the Dottore in this trailer.

8- Old dood looks like an older Vergil from DMC.

9- I love the castle turning to ice but also, Elsa fskdhbf

10- Love that the coffin is where they are gathered though. It'd be funny if they used it as a coffin table ahahaha

11- The burning tree reminds me of the scene from Warcraft when the World Tree burned and now I can't stop crying cause that broke my heart years ago. I am ready to be hurt again.

All in all, I am excited for the story to progress further and see what the Fatui are up to! I also really just want to play Scaramouche and then there is that Kagamine Len look alike from one of the very first game trailers OTL I honestly thought he/the twins(?) would be in this trailer at first cause I legit thought they were part of the Fatui LOL idk why

I've been better but I am better now than I was a couple weeks! It's been really rough the last couple of months for me in a lot of regards, and I hoped most things settled down for me by March end...which it did, for the most part!

Thank you for feeling comfortable enough with me, my writing, and my blog to even send these in as I can feel that it touches upon feelings that are quite close and personal to you. That you are willing to express these and share it with me, a rando fanfic writer on the internet, is truly an honor.

I don't even know what to say or where to begin because your Ask(s) have really just came in and buckled me to a rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions!

I am always thrilled, always happy, if my writing is able to make someone's day. Even if I can hardly believe it myself because really why yall reading almost 300k of word vomit on most days, I truly am glad that my writing is able to help someone else out there. For as long as I am able, please rest assured that GWS will continue to be a place where everyone who enjoys it are able to escape, even if just a little, and take a break from the troubles of life.

That GWS is able to do all it is able to do for you, anon and others, then the work put in is well worth it. I'm glad that GWS is able to be a place of happiness for you strife with chaos as it is sdfsf and that you discovered Haikyuu through it; because Haikyuu, like many other great sports anime, is about overcoming the walls in front of you and I don't know what walls are in your life, but I truly hope that through GWS and through the beloved cast of Haikyuu, you are able to find the inspiration to overcome your own.

I always get emotional and suddenly lose the words I wanted to say but this Ask of yours anon has really brought out the waterworks because I never believed or thought myself to be a great person, talented or otherwise, and I guess, in the same way that GWS has given you solace, your words have given me strength and motivation during a period where I have lost a lot of it.
