Honestly I think all of the (completely unfounded) tour criticism can be boiled down to people hating new things. Everyone hated Rep when it was the new and different thing, but once they chilled out about it being different they fell in love. Same thing is going to happen with Eras.

Political experts expressed concern Tuesday about misinformation spread by "extremist politicians" after Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) said she's "tired" of the long-standing separation between church and state in the U.S.
Driving The News: The controversial far-right lawmaker, who won her primary election Tuesday night, said at a religious service Sunday that "the church is supposed to direct the government. The government is not supposed to direct the church."
• "I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk that’s not in the Constitution," she added, claiming it was not how the founding fathers intended it.
• "It was in a stinking letter, and it means nothing like what they say it does."
Between The Lines: The letter was an apparent reference to Thomas Jefferson's 1802 missive to the Danbury Baptist Association, in which the author of the Declaration of Independence wrote that the First Amendment builds "a wall of separation between Church and State."
• Boebert's comments do not appear to apply to religions other than Christianity.
Reality Check: The Constitution's First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
What They're Saying: Boebert's claims are "false, misleading and dangerous," Gwen Calais-Haase, a political scientist at Harvard, told the Washington Post.
• She added she is "extremely worried about the environment of misinformation that extremist politicians take advantage of for their own gains."
• Annie Laurie Gaylor, a founding member of the nonprofit Freedom From Religion Foundation, said in an interview with the Denver Post that Boebert's comments paint the picture of a theocracy.
• "It’s not liberty when you start forcing your dogma on everybody else," she said.
• "Boebert did not come to this on her own," tweeted journalist Sarah Posner, who has written two books about the American Christian right. "She’s the product of a multi-decade campaign to elect Christian nationalists to public office and this is a central tenet of their ideology."
Worth Noting: The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 Monday that a Washington state public high school football coach had a right to pray on the field with students, which has triggered a flurry of backlash from the left and celebration on the right.
• Liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in her dissent that the court "continues to dismantle the wall of separation between church and state that the Framers fought to build."
The Big Picture: Boebert, who has been described as a white Christian nationalist, will face off against several challengers tonight for the Republican nomination.
• The QAnon supporter faced criticism and calls for retribution over her anti-Muslim rhetoric last year.
• Boebert's office did not immediately return a request for comment.

These aren’t all necessarily “weirder than Gloyd” but fall into three rough categories which I’ve dubbed: “that’s got a nice ring to it”, “if I used this in a novel it would be considered too unrealistic” and “you’ve got 5 seconds to name a character that lives in 1920s Oklahoma, GO!”:

“Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) wasn’t quite ready for showtime.
The conspiracy theorist lawmaker was given the boot from a touring production of “Beetlejuice” in Denver on Sunday for being disruptive, according to multiple reports.
The Denver Post said three theatergoers complained that Boebert and her companion were vaping, singing, recording the performance and causing a disturbance at the Buell Theatre.”
What a f—king clown and total embarrassment to Colorado and America. If you watch the video she’s clearly drunk and mouthing off. Of course there was the obligatory “do you know who I am” and “I’m going to call the mayor.” You can also see all the support staff at the theater smirking and laughing at the drunken whore as she’s being escorted to the door. The footage also shows her singing, waving her arms, laughing hysterically, and her new “boyfriend” twirling her at least three times. Yes boyfriend, that’s not her hubby “Peepshow” Boebert who she is divorcing because the whole country learned of him being a pedo who beat her (even while pregnant) and the kids (the oldest of which is making her a grandma at 36).
This is what happens when the GQP, via the Koch family and Ted Cruz, takes skanks and scumbags straight out of the trailer park and installs them into Congress as paid crisis actors.
I’m not a misogynist or an elitist, characterizations of her are accurate, as are those of her family, friends, and colleagues. Certain people don’t belong in certain professions. She literally went from the McDonald’s drive through straight to Congress. After dropping out of high school and getting a “compassionate” GED on her 4th attempt.
Sorry but high level politics requires a background in law, history, economics, political science, etc. There’s no “real world” life experiences that can prepare you for the incredibly complex machinations of representing 365 million people. It’s not a joke and seats shouldn’t be filled by clowns. The Koch family and their political think tanks funneled $137,000 dollars to her via the Ted Cruz Victory Campaign to get her elected. Ted delivered the check in person to her at a discrete hotel where Koch operatives claim she performed sexual favors in exchange.
There are many documented screw-ups in her life and many, many allegations of more. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Even with this latest incident on tape and documented she will be defended by MAGAts who just want to give the finger to the establishment and “own the libs” no matter what the cost to them and the country.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert has issued an apology to the American people this weekend, expressing her clear, sincere, and obvious regret at the fact that theaters doing a Denver production of the Beetlejuice musical have such high-quality night-vision cameras these days.
Okay, so, technically Boebert actually issued her apology in response to a week-long theatrical scandal that has not gotten less embarrassing as time has gone on—starting with her denying that she got kicked out of a Denver production of the Tony-nominated musical for vaping, and then progressing as surveillance footage from the Buell Theater leaked out showing her not just doing that, but also taking flash photography, flipping off theater employees, and getting sexually intimate with her date in the midst of the crowded auditorium.

The report said after the two patrons were escorted out and reached the building’s vestibule, they resisted leaving and said “stuff like ‘do you know who I am,’ ‘I am on the board’ (and) ‘I will be contacting the mayor.’ ”
When someone asks 'do you know who I am' they are really saying I am a nobody but want to be treated like I am very important.

I don't do a lot of politics here (I am vocal on other social media sites for that) but fuck Lauren Boebert. Not only is she a right wing idiot, she's also a fucking nightmare of a theater goer too. Awesome that she was escorted out of the show.

Information on the global strike? What else will you be doing?
The strike from January 21-28 was called for by Palestinian journalist Bisan Owda. It is a general strike that is meant to slow the economy to a standstill in essence, for one week.
This means if individuals are able to not go into work or school, they are encouraged to do so. Not spending money, particularly for non-essentials. Limiting social media presence except in regard to posts about Palestine. Attending protests, demonstrations, emailing and calling your reps regarding Palestine during this time. That is what is being asked and is what I am doing.
(apologies for the following Reddit post but it's the one place I can find the video from Bisan being embed without requiring a login like through Twitter or IG: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palestine/comments/19a0lsv/global_strike_january_2128/ )

Rep. Lauren Boebert's neighbors called 911 after her husband allegedly threatened them and ran over their mailbox.
The 911 calls come as Colorado neighbors of Jayson Boebert accused him of speeding, driving under the influence, property damage, and making threats, according to The Denver Post.
"I'm sure he's loaded to the hilt. Do you know who his wife is? Lauren Boebert. She's loaded. They all have guns," a neighbor said in a 911 call obtained by the Post. "He just got chest to chest, face to face, looking to fight."
On the evening of August 4, a neighbor asked one of Boebert's sons to stop speeding down the street in a dune buggy, the Post reported, citing the 911 calls and an incident report.
"He's going like 50 miles an hour and this is a residential lane, there's kids," a neighbor told 911 dispatchers, according to calls obtained by the Post. "We tried to stop him, and he'd just freakin' cuss at us and just left."
"It's the Boeberts, if you know who the Boeberts are," the neighbor added to dispatchers, asking for the sheriff. "Our wonderful congresswoman," another voice was heard saying in the background, per the audio.
A second neighbor called 911 as Jayson Boebert allegedly struck the neighbor's mailbox with his truck, the Post reported.
"There's about to be some shit going down here," the second neighbor said, per the Post. "It's Lauren Boebert's jackass husband, Jayson Boebert."
The second neighbor said Jayson was claiming "that someone took a swing at his kid and nobody did," adding that Jayson was "dumb as a post" and "probably drunk," according to 911 audio reported by the Post.
When Sheriff Lou Vallario arrived on the scene, all the parties "agreed to work it out as neighbors. No charges. No further action," according to the Post.
Officers from the Garfield County Sheriff's Office opted to let the neighbors settle the dispute among themselves, though they didn't explain why, the Post reported. The Sheriff's Office and a spokesperson for Rep. Boebert did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
Jayson Boebert previously pleaded guilty after he was accused of exposing his penis to two women at a bowling alley in 2004.

If the Palestinian Arabs really wanted a state, they would have accepted one of the many offers that have been made to them to establish one, going back to 1948. What they really want to do is destroy Israel utterly, in accord with the succinct Qur’anic command: “Drive them out from where they drove you out” (2:191). It is actually a historical myth that the Israelis drove the Arabs out; the Arab Higher Committee told them to leave, but that fact has been obscured by decades of propaganda. Now, however, no less a luminary than Sami al-Arian, a former U.S. academic and darling of the Left, has revealed the truth: the goal of the Palestinian jihad is not a Palestinian state, but the demise of the Jewish state.
Speaking on Al Jazeera on July 30, al-Arian said: “In my view, the Palestinian cause is not about creating a state, like everybody says. It is not about a one-state solution or a two-state solution. The Palestinian cause has to do with the very presence of Zionism in the region. Therefore, our greatest strategic goal, in the meantime, we can take steps, but the greatest strategic goal is to dismantle the State of Israel, which means uprooting Zionism from Palestine.”
Sami al-Arian has been an enemy of Israel for a long time. A former professor at the University of South Florida, he pleaded guilty back in 2006 to a charge of “conspiracy to make or receive contributions of funds to or for the benefit of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a Specially Designated Terrorist” organization. He was then deported from the United States, but he remains a darling of American academia. In Dec. 2022, Indiana University featured him as a speaker. In 2021, according to JNS, al-Arian organized a conference that was co-sponsored by the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School for International Studies. Conference speakers denounced Israel as the “apartheid Jewish Zionist colonial state” and called for its eradication. The program, JNS reported, was “replete with Palestinian propaganda, revisionist history, and blatant anti-Semitism and anti-Israel vitriol.”
At that conference, Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s al-Arian denounced Israel in the hysterically false terms that are now becoming familiar in America thanks to the likes of Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Ramallah): “There is no doubt we are talking about a settler, colonialist movement. What we see here today is an attempt to depopulate the indigenous people, and bring in as many Jews from around the world and try to bring a system that is properly being identified now as apartheid. There is no doubt about this.”
Israel, al-Arian thundered, was a “racist movement,” a “Zionist onslaught” that was directed toward replacing the “indigenous people.” The solution? Israels total destruction: “the essence of the struggle should be to dismantle this structure.”
Al-Arian has been quite clear about his views for decades. In 1991, during a speech in Chicago, al-Arian screamed: “The Quran is our constitution. Jihad is our path … Victory to Islam… Death to Israel… Revolution… revolution till the victory.”
