So… uh…

Tumblr is on a skeleton crew now (or soon?).

Which if no one else hops in and buys Tumblr from the current owners… this platform will eventually die off.

It could be a year or two… or months. It’s hard to tell with this sort of thing.

So in case things suddenly blip out of existence for Tumblr - you can find me on Instagram and deviantArt at 7goodangel. (Which I would have to start getting active on one or the other; most likely Instagram).

I’m also on Art Fight as SevenGoodAngel there!

But the thing I wanted to know is… where else are people prepping their migration to?

I have heard of a few other social medias floating around. Like bluesky and pillowfort.

But I’m curious with whomever sees this post - where else are you planning to move to?

All in all - I’ll still be here until the end. Just want to make sure I’m prepped for the next part. I do hope tumblr lasts longer than expected… but we will have to see.

I highly encourage every aventurine fan to step back and criticize the fact that hoyoverse decided to make Romani culture as the basis for his character and took aspects from history like discrimination, slavery, and even the stereotypes as story notes for a fictional planet named after a Romani slur.

This isn't the first time a gacha game let alone hoyo have pulled shit like this. Fgo, genshin, arknights, and probably several more that I've never played. Stay vigilant of this and listen to the people who are most impacted by this.

i do have one! however i use it very sparingly because 1) new people (especially groups) scare me & 2) brain's been fucking weird for a hot minute and i barely talk to people i'm already friends with let alone strangers

I've been bombarded by posts about characters being shitty DPS or "the worst DPS" in basically every social media platform and I am SO tired of them. Why are meta players SO repetitive? Yeah, sure, maybe JY needs a bit more time and resources to do more damage but I don't care? Like some of us play and pull for characters we like, not because they are meta or because our sole purpose is to do tons of damage. Sure, damage is nice, but as long as I can defeat the enemies, I don't give a damn about my characters doing 1M.

And I've seen a lot of the same discourse with Navia and Itto now??? With people arguing about who's the better DPS and whatnot about geo and monogeo teams. I pulled for Navia because she's gorgeous and I am emotionally attached to her, not because she does big numbers. I literally didn't know she'd make big numbers when I decided to pull for her. Kinda like when I pulled for Neuvi.

I'm just so tired of meta players coming on to every single post saying these things. We get it. You love builds and investing in the best characters and teams. Good for you.

Just let me fucking enjoy my game with my characters in peace.

That was really rude to put someone on blast like that for a single very short tag response especially when it could lead to bullying / witch hunting. They weren’t even attacking anyone, just making a general opinion. You could have talked to them privately if you were upset by their tags or made a reblog not mentioning them specifically but talking in general about your feelings towards the topic.

tumblr is telling us they are going to get rid of the following only chronological feed and much as it fills me with despair, I believe them so, serious question- where would we go? twitter is broken (in more ways than one), instagram is useless because of the algorithm and there's no conversation or discussion, threads is evil in ways that can actually negatively impact your offline life and EU pals can't even use it, facebook is useless because algorithm AND evil, reddit just made themselves obsolete... Can we do fandom stuff on one of the newer twitter knockoff sites? I have a pillowfort account but it's set up to mimic something more like dreamwidth than tumblr or twitter, I don't like it, it's all little groups... I hate this. What comes next?
