⚠️ Attention Witchy Community!!
I need your help! Please Read and boost!!
I never do this, but I really need some help right now. There’s multiple black cats at the gas station down the street from me. One looks pregnant, and there’s another with a hurt leg. They’re too shy for any person to get too close. Someone likely just dumped them there.
It’s approaching Halloween and I’m so scared for them. I would be regardless, but people can be extra hateful to black cats during this time. Torturing, mutilating, and killing them for “ritualistic” purposes (but we all know that’s not a ritual, and black cats aren’t evil, the evil is them).
We would normally just get some help and trap them when we find a place to get them all neutered, and release back; but I need help like, now!! I can’t in good conscious do that. They need to be trapped and put into foster homes, so they can be socialized and adopted. Not just released back into that dangerous area.
I work with a couple local rescue groups here in my area but if you would like to donate, find a rescue, foster a kitten, or help in any other way, please message me!! Thank you all 🙏
The location is North Carolina

UPDATE: WE HAVE FOUND BUDDY A HOME
This is Buddy.
He’s a cat that my parents have had since he was a kitten. Eleven years now.
He is a gigantic cuddle bug, and likes to spend his nights laying next to you, keeping you warm (and stealing your warms). He likes drinking water from the faucet, so when you brush your teeth, you might need to push him out of the way. If you don’t close the door before your shower, you also might end up with him in the shower with you. It’s okay, he just likes water, as long as it’s his choice.
Unfortunately, he and his littermate are, for some reason, no longer getting along. After 11 years, they have decided that they suddenly hate one another. This has lead to almost five months of visits to vets, treatments, rearranging lives and household furniture.
His littermater was sick and was peeing all over the house. The good news is that they both have clean bills of health now. The bad news is that, because Buddy still SMELLS it, he’s still going to the bathroom all over my parent’s house. Despite the almost five months of working to rehabilitate these two, it hasn’t worked.
My parents have contacted rescues and no kill shelters. They are either full, or don’t take owner surrenders.
The truth of the matter is this:
Unless we are able to find a foster home, and hopefully a new forever home, Buddy is going to have to be put to sleep. He can’t keep living in my family’s bathroom. My family can’t follow him around his every moment that he is let outside of the bathroom to keep him from using the bathroom all over the house instead of his box.
This old, cuddly man needs a new place to live. And it needs to be a place where he will be appreciated for who he is, and will give him the love that we still have. It’s that love that is making us try to exhaust every possibility for him.
He is scared of dogs, and with the issues he has been having with his brother, I’m not sure how he would do with another cat in the household. Buddy would likely do the best if he was an only child in the house.
That being said, he was fine for 11 years before. If you have the patience and heart to work with him, life with other pets might be possible.
My family lives in south eastern Wisconsin. I’m more than willing to drive into Illinois or towards Minnesota too, for the right home for him. All over Wisconsin too.
I promise you a clean bill of health for him, and a kitty that won’t hide from humans. A litter box and a healthy appetite comes with him, as does a fondness for fuzzy blankets on the laps of “his human” to snore away on.
If you can’t take him in, that’s okay. Just pass the word along, help me get the message out. If you think you have a spot in your life for this fur-kid, let me know. Message me here, or send me a message on Ao3. Whatever works best for you.
I’m happy to meet you halfway, if you’re from further away than the Midwest states. If it means finding him a good home, it’s worth it.

I went to the shelter today to see what cats they had, and ended up coming home with this sweet boy.
Here’s his story so far: based on his records, it looks like somebody gave him to the shelter on his birthday, which is heartbreaking to me. He apparently doesn’t jive with other cats or dogs and is an adult male black cat, which are already hard to adopt. He had been in the shelter longer than any other cat.
When we went into a room to bond and test out how we were, at one point he curled up in my lap and leaned into my chest, purring like a motorcycle. He’s such a sweet boy, very gentle and wants to cuddle once he’s not in a stressful environment. When we were filling out the adoption process, everyone working there was so excited that he was finally getting adopted.
Right now he’s hiding under my dresser and hasn’t come out in about two hours, but that’s to be expected. He was not happy riding in the car and he’s in a brand new, strange place. He will still stretch his feets though and when you reach under to pet him, he purrs loudly and will lean his head into your hand.
Name wise, I’m still deciding. The shelter named him Panther, but I’m thinking about calling him something else. Hugo is the current frontrunner but I’m not settled on it jusssst yet.
Updates to come ^^
