I’m really not sure what is going on here anymore. All I know is that I’m extremely sad and disappointed to see a wonderful person in this community being bullied and talked about in a negative context. We need to do better as a collective community. Respect others opinions and for the love of god, just fucking be nice to each other.
We are all adults here and we all deserve equal respect and to feel that we have a safe space and a voice.
Anyone who’s been saying that Nick and Charlie are too sexually pure like “oh they’re teenage boys, they’d be having a lot of sex” has clearly never read the novella
Klarion is delighted, excited, impatient, and so very happy. He’s found a friend, not the justice league baby-crew who don’t know how to make friends properly or the order-magician who doesn’t play right, but another realm-being his age! They’re even around the same death-date, his is just a couple years earlier! But to beings who aren’t adults until they’re well into the hundreds that’s practically nothing!
His new friend even has a familiar too- even if he has to explain what a familiar is- and, and even shares his two other friends with him!
He’s been in this world for what feels like so long trying to make friends and he’s made three in just a month! And they even know how to properly play and wrestle without targeting Teekl like a certain order lord who he doesn’t like.
Oh! Hey it’s the justice league kiddy-crew! Were they feeling neglected or something?
You know I didn’t realize after AA5/6 just how badly I needed a judicial assistant who was like. Respected and valued by their attorney. Seeing how highly Ryu thinks of Susato is such a breath air after so many variations of the Manzai duo vibes
In case 4 when Van Zieks insults her and Ryu IMMEDIATELY snaps back with “I consider her advice essential and her assistance invaluable. Please go ahead, Susato” he instantly became my favorite. Put some respect on her name
I can't believe how mixed-up the fandom (and the LOK writers) get Katara and Zuko's characters.
I want to make this clear, just because she grew up during the war, doesn't mean Katara was forced to fight. I honestly don't know where people get this from. Her cultural norms very blatantly dictate for her not to. It was something she vehemently struggled against to be able to do. It was always her initiative and choice to fight because that's who Katara is; a warrior.
Hell, she's even reveled in dominating her opponents and showing off her skills in battle
But you know who was forced to fight? You know whose skewed concepts of honor dictated him to fight? You know whose society urged him towards participating in war? You know who was the most at-ease and relaxed working peacefully in his uncle's tea shop?
The entire concept of Zuko's character is that he doesn't easily thrive as a warrior and doesn't enjoy fighting if he can avoid it. One of the key things he learns post-redemption is that fire isn't just a force of destruction, it's also life and passion. And that's what allows him to be a better firebender later.
So it makes no sense that Katara gave up on fighting before Zuko. And don't misunderstand, both of them should have been still relatively active (because Zuko is a warrior too and the point of this post is not to claim he isn't). But between the two of them, Zuko would have been the one to embrace peace and retire
Mhmm I sure love thinking of the reality where we did get more time to really know Karai and her dynamics with the bros. Losing her hit hard in the finale, but it would’ve hit much, much harder had we known Karai longer and really saw her relationships develop with everyone.
I especially would have been interested in her dynamic with Leo, as past iterations often have the two of them clash in ideals and the like while still sharing many characteristics. Two sides of the same coin, and all that. Her specifically being the bros’ Gram-Gram also adds a whole new dynamic as well.
Imagine how interesting it would be, to have Karai start off on Leo’s side for once, showing wholly just how alike the two are at their cores and bonding as family without the worry of betrayal or animosity that other iterations suffer through, only to have Karai die anyway. Their parting hug and the desperate look of horror Leo wears later on would have hit that much harder, I feel.
Pro-Choice = One who supports a proposal or takes the affirmative side in a debate for the power, right, or liberty to choose; option.
I wish all the people who claim to be "pro-choice" who are actually only pro-abortion would have the courage and integrity to be honest and admit that... instead of masquerading as something they are not.
Since 2020 it's been made very clear that pro-abortion people are not the same as pro-choice people. There is some overlap, but very minor given how many people have wanted the government to choose their way of life for them versus taking personal and complete ownership of their own lives.
I am 100% pro-choice.
That means I am 100% for each individual, male or female, to have the freedom to choose what they do with their bodies, including what they put in or on their bodies, as well as how they choose to live their lives as long as they are not going out of their way to intentionally harm others... even if it's something that I would never do, even if I may not see the value of them doing so, and even if it makes me uncomfortable.
Ultimately it comes down to minding your own business, being honest, and giving people the right to be their most authentic selves... even when it is the polar opposite of your most authentic self.
