I can't help but feel and be a bit down today I've been studying and listening to some of xxxtentacion and real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy's work it's deeply emotional, I remember the exact place and people I was around when I heard the exact broadcast we have this river called the Brazos near where I lived and me and a old friend were hanging out there just to get out one day chilling and getting in the water but we walked back to my truck and left the gate as we were going down the road back to my home town on the date of June 18th 2018 a broadcast came on over the radio I was listing to *106.3* a hip hop station and it said "Rapper xxxtentacion was just shot" murdered in an apparent robbery just outside RIVA Motorsports, an upscale seller of motorcycles and watercraft in Deerfield Beach, Florida. It is with great sadness that I announce Goldie left us on July 14th 2022 aka today at the ripe age of 23. A little backstory on Goldie: He was abandoned by the neighbors when he was 3 years old & my landlady adopted him & has remained my building’s cat for 2 decades. I remember hearing about Goldie for the first time & my face lit up as I was excited to meet the cutie of the building. Goldie, thank you for helping me get through all of my darkest nights in 2020 - early 2022. Thank you for all the cuddles that got me through painful times, every hug/cuddle meant the world to me especially when we were locked indoors. Your affection, the greetings every morning & for always being there for me whenever I needed you the most. I’ll never forget these precious moments 😭 You lived a long boujee cat life, requesting steak & fine foods that I’m thankful to have shared your final 2 years with you. Saying goodbye was the hardest as you were frail & I couldn’t bear to cuddle you one last time without the fear of hurting you, but your head rested on my hand & refused to let me go. Thank you for being my friend, a companion & to many others as well. You’ll be dearly missed & forever adored. Hey. I’m going to make it out there. I’m going to put the work in. I’m gonna make it, and I’ll be able to afford a consistent therapist. I’m going to make it out. I’m going to put the work in. I payed back some medical bills, to fix my credit, something I can’t even see for a future house I have yet to buy. I’m going to make it out there, and probably loose my private life. But what’s private anyways as long as my family gets to eat, and I have a sound room to sleep. I’m going to make it out. I’m putting the work in. I keep having dejavu, I know my life will continue to be worth it. No matter where I land. I know I’m gonna make it out there. I won’t let myself stop me or anyone else who believe they’re above me. That shit is truly fucking ugly, the way people try to take my pride and joy from me. I’ve been putting the work in and sometimes I don’t feel like the person I was at birth. I know I’ll make it out there. I will be okay and still accept my depressions and grow to have strong self worth. I’m putting the work in and I’ll be okay.
