Fast, straight and close front sit, good dumbbell pick up.

No chewing at the dumbbell.

I still need to learn how to throw the dumbbell right, I often hit the frame.

i feel the need to remind everyone that Damen’s literally one of the smartest and most well-educated characters in the series. He’s extremely well-read and knowledgeable about military tactics and strategy, which if you didn’t know also includes a huge depth of history knowledge, and his talent comes from both education and years of experience. He’s smart enough to know geography and terrain information of an area he hasn’t needed to have information on in seven years, and even then, the lands they are talking about were in mainland Vere, not Delpha, so his studies were his own initiative. he has favorite poems! HE ENJOYED DEBATING OBSCURE PHILOSOPHY WITH HESTON!!! like y’all Damen is just as intelligent as Laurent, it’s just that Laurent’s intelligence is about manipulation and chess and Damen’s just a nerd.

(also people are gonna be coming for me for this one but i think Damen likes books and libraries a lot more than Laurent ever did)

#Dogs are favored because they have been domesticated for thousands of years and selectively bred for extremely specific behaviors #they also have heightened hearing and smell that can allow them to detect certain medical emergencies early #and because a dog can be predictably trained to not attack someone #yes you can train a Komodo dragon to perform a lot of what is asked of dogs #but as a wild animal guess what #they are more likely to attack someone because they are more likely to perceive normal human behavior as a threat #and even domesticated non-mammals just generally aren’t built for a lot of what a service animal needs #what would a service pigeon do for you exactly #and even if it could do something to help you it’s still a pigeon and if you take it outside there is a very present chance #of a hawk plucking it off your shoulder as dinner #generally don’t need to worry about a golden retriever being carried away by eagles #not to mention dogs being able to be potty trained which. Many animals cannot reliably be #even rodents and other small mammals can’t generally since they don’t have voluntary bladder control

Dudley Coutts Marjoribanks, 1st Baron Tweedmouth, also known as the Laird of Guisachan and Glenaffric (29 December 1820 – 4 March 1894), was a Scottish businessman and a Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1853 until 1880, when he was elevated to the peerage as Baron Tweedmouth.

He was the breeder of the first golden retriever.
