This week’s astrology forecast: October 31st – November 6th

When considering astrological influences, it is important to note that the future is not set—not for the world or any individual. Astrology shows what is going on around us in the field. How that influences each individual depends on the level of consciousness of that individual. The same Mars transit will impact a person who tends to run negative energy (anger, frustration, worry, etc.) in a very different way than to a person who tends towards higher vibration energy (acceptance, willingness, love, etc.) Mars transits irritate the lower vibration type of person yet are experienced as motivational for those of a higher vibration. The message being…to get the best of these transits, work on raising your own vibration.

The main astrology feature to be aware of this week is Mars turning retrograde in Gemini in a prolonged square to Neptune in Pisces. Mars will stay retrograde until January 12th and is the time to assimilate all the information (Gemini) you’ve been gathering while Mars was direct. This is a good time to review and examine your motivations, your anger, and your desires. Have you been overreacting to circumstances you can’t control? Call your power back home.

Due to its slow movement from just changing directions, Mars will stay in a prolonged square to transcendent Neptune, peaking November 19th—we are sure to see both the highs and lows of this in abundance. The higher manifestation can lead to compassionate action, passive resistance, active passivism, sacred sexuality, and the desire to bring the magic back into your life. While the lower expression of this energy can lead to an inability to take action, confusion, deception, backstabbing, and sneaky behavior.

While Ceres does its thing with the personal planets, Mars, while retrograding, whips up its own bunch of magic to the personal planets along an axis that adds a matrix of powerful and profound black holes. Add to this mix the consideration that shortly prior to opposing Mars, the personal planets and the Sun do their thing as they conjure other cosmic invocations in transit to the Great Attractor.

Here’s the rundown:

First up, on 26 and 27 November Mercury and Venus transit the Great Attractor.

On 29 and 30 November the two planets closest the Sun thicken their transits. While sextile to Saturn in Aquarius, they oppose Mars in Gemini. Concurrent with these aspects, Mercury and Venus conjoin the black holes V1033 Sco, V2107 Oph, 3U 1700-37, 3U 1658-48 and V2293 Oph. If this sounds like a lot, that’s because it is.

It’ll take a little time for all this to settle into brain space and work its way to infuse into consciousness. The Sun is always spot on for such assimilation. The Sun conjoins the Great Attractor on 5 December, then opposes Mars on 7 December, both pretty much spot on the degree (Mars by opposition) to the array of Sagittarian black holes noted above.

Here’s the cosmic substrate:

The Great Attractor organically spews unlimited insight in all known frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum. It seeks to poke everyone’s grey matter in precisely the correct places to inspire getting smarter. Actually, this point captures everyone’s attention. Indeed it takes work to ignore the insights received. Ignoring insight and knowledge can be pulled off. However, a conscious decision that no new input serves the purposes of the moment must be determined and settled in the decision making control center. One must agree not to have a look see over the next horizon for a preview of coming attractions. One must concede there’s no value in knowing more in the moment, probably alleging information overwhelm and a brain full of mundane stimulation, much of it distracting.

Those who do accept the Great Attractor’s insights find their consciousness on the leading edge of what’s available out there. It’s a struggle to lead those shutting out information toward the pinpoint of progress upon which the far-reaching insights seek to converge.

The black holes noted above range between 17 and 21 degrees of Sagittarius on the ecliptic. While likely there are oodles more in the vicinity, this is a collection of singularities in our consciousness for some time that have solid delineative attributes assigned to them. Since they are all supermassive, and each can have an orb of influence of at least four degrees, they are mushed together like turkey stuffing for our palates to assimilate.

Ultimately, there are several themes within these black hole singularities:

Practice what you preach.

If you cannot put into real world action the philosophy that you claim guides you, change either your philosophy or what you do. Strongly recommended here... follow your true, pristine nature.

Seek out and learn only from experts. Adopt no mentor from a peer environment. Ask no one for an opinion about what you do if they do not regard your actions as contributive to a better world.

Disavow the idea that you teach what you need to learn. Confidently share only that which has been mastered and stored into your personal wisdom pantry.

Adhere to the “high road” mentality. However, should an adversary require engagement, engage in a way that does not devastate the terrain yet neutralizes the hostility.

That’s a lot actually. You can take tips from prominent persons in the news as they make decisions about their direction and their place in the real world. From figure skaters to opera singers to sports icons to politicians and world leaders... as well as everyone you know in your real world... all are affected and all puzzling over what’s the next best task at hand. Starting in the next few days and through the first couple days of December, work to select options for your immediate action that are consistent with the outcomes you seek. Do your dangest to include all information that offers solution consciousness even if you’ve never done it this way before. Unfamiliar and alien, of course. That’s the energetic theme underscoring these moments. Make haste to make the most of all of it.

Then, ease back on the throttle just enough as to avoid buffets from the reactions of your energy field to the array of change you embrace. Keep in mind while all this goes on that it started with an idea exchanging sextile to the cosmic taskmaster Saturn. Your efforts appease Saturn, and even better, engage the waning Saturn in Aquarius-Uranus in Taurus square. You become an avatar of integrating insight and navigating personally evolving steps.

On 5 December the Sun passes the degree of the Great Attractor. Out there things begin to make worldly sense. Changes lose their edge. And coming up to 7 December (and possibly a bit beyond), congruence between new thought, leading edge guidance, and absolute galactic direction influences the desire to make every single action taken an offering to Universal Wisdom - a potent propitiation to your commitment to fulfilling all purposes of your incarnation in progress.

Consider these new found insights holiday stocking stuffers. They’re not the end all, but they are a key for unlocking the end all. retrogrades: a guide

Do you know that feeling when you to have the illusion that the vehicle you are in is moving backwards in comparison to the vehicle on your side or vice versa? This illusion is very similar to retrogrades. Due to the different speed other planets are orbiting the Sun with, whenever they are parallel to the Earth, it seems as if those planets are moving backwards. However, this is just an illusion, as seen from Earth for a short period of time. As astrology is all about the details, this illusion has a significant impact on our energy, both collectively and individually.

How often do retrogrades happen & what do they mean collectively?

Think of retrogrades as a period when a planet becomes more introverted, so it expresses that energy in an inwardly focused way. These are times of introspection and planning. You take a break in that area of your life in order to asses before taking action. That's why, starting things during retrogrades might not be the best idea, as it will always make you turn back and reassess what you started anyway.

The Sun and the Moon are never in retrograde. Besides these, all the other planetary bodies do go retrograde. The further the planet is from the Sun, the less often retrogrades happening.

Mercury is the one that goes retrograde most often, about 3-4 times a year and it stays in that motion for about 3 weeks at a time. Mercury rules communication, short distance travel and technology, siblings. So whenever it goes retrograde, we are likely to experience delays or feel more introverted about these energies.

Jupiter goes retrograde every 13 months, lasting for about 4 months. Jupiter is all about luck and abundance, also indulgence, so this can be a time when we manifest better with our own mind.

Saturn goes retrograde every 1 year and it lasts for about 4.5 months. Saturn means rules and lessons, so it being retrograde can show a time of self discipline.

Uranus goes retrograde every 1 year and stays for about 5 months. Uranus is all about spontaneity, rebelling against the world and activism. It going retrograde can mean we feel more called to asses what we stand for.

Neptune goes retrograde every 1 year and stays for over 5 months. Neptune rules imagination, dreams and addiction. We might feel like we are having more dreams, feeling inspired, but also foggy, lost, giving into addictions easier.

Pluto goes retrograde every 1 year for about 5-6 months. Pluto is all about fears and intensity, so it can mean having to deal with some traumas from the past in order to heal from it.

Considering the fact that retrogrades are an illusion, it might seem as if they are holding us back, making things move slower. When in reality, they are helping us asses what we avoided to deal with in the first place and help us grow - so at the end of the day we are still moving advancing trough inner work.

Do not panic - it is more common to be born during at least one retrograded cycle than to be born during a period when there are no retrogrades. However, the energy in your chart is felt differently if that is the case. Here's what it means:

No planets in retrograde: I see this as a straightforward chart, the energy of the planets in your chart are all expressed outwardly and this is why retrograde transits might be really introspective times for you.

Born during Mercury retrograde - these people are really good at assimilating information and details, but might have a difficult time with expressing it outwardly. It's nothing impossible, it might just take a bit of practice to feel safe enough to show their rich inner world.

So now what? Ceres is concerned with nurturing children, and of course when she’s in Gemini that concern is going to focus on education. Here in the US, the fascists currently are feeling emboldened enough to ban any book that shows racists in a bad light. (Heaven forbid some white bigot gets their feelings hurt.) There’s also increased pressure to ditch the mask mandates in the classroom. Which I think is nuts - remember, my day job is in a public school; do you all have any idea how many germs are floating around those hallowed hallways?!?

We’re also still experiencing the occasional rumbling about supply chain issues. A quick Google search reveals that this is expected to continue through 2022. (Ms M has always believed that one of the worst crimes you can commit in the US, is to inconvenience, even slightly, a wealthy person.)

While Ceres retraces this final bit of Geminian ground, she won’t tangle with any of the slower-moving planets. Most of the “reconciliation” process is concerned, then, with more personal matters. Some of the things we’ve learned we can use to help ourselves and others; some other things we’ve learned may cause us a little cognitive dissonance as we try to assimilate it and move on.

(I advise green thumbs to try to hold off planting until after May 15, when Ceres enters the sign Cancer. Gemini isn’t a very fertile sign at all.)

I’ve made yet another revision to my aro twin oc

NAME: Ace

DATE OF BIRTH: Around 1300 B.C.

DATE OF TRANSFORMATION : Around 1260 B.C.

SOURCE OF TRANSFORMATION : Unknown

PLACE OF ORIGIN: Greece

HAIR COLOR: Black

EYE COLOR: Gray (human); red/gold/black (vampire)

HEIGHT: 5’10”

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Ace has an willowy build, with shoulder-length jet-black hair and perfect features. He is Aro’s identical twin and looks exactly like him, except his skin has not become translucent or his eyes milky.

SPECIAL ABILITIES: When he touches someone, he can alter the memories and thoughts, past and present, a person has. Both Ace and Aro also have some share in each other’s power, though much less masterful.

EDUCATION/OCCUPATION : He is one of the original founders of the Volturi coven, along with Aro, Caius, and Marcus. His job is to keep tabs on and assimilate with the human world to keep Aro up to date with modern culture and technology. He has been dipping and out of human society for millenniums.

FAMILY/COVEN: He and Aro are identical twins. He was ex-lovers with Marcus, who he still has feelings for. He had a complicated relationship with his sister, Didyme.

PERSONAL HISTORY:

Ace was born in Greece during the Mycenaean Age, where his father was upper class and his mother was a slave. He was born a few minutes before Aro. In their human lives, they were so in tandem that it was impossible for others to tell them apart, and he was transformed into a vampire alongside him in his mid twenties. His and Aro’s gift focus on memory, thoughts, and the workings of the mind. While Aro became most adept at reading every memory and thought in acute detail, Ace became particularly good at editing and rewriting them. He and Aro met Marcus soon afterwards, and then Caius a few years after that. He became romantic partners with Marcus, and considered him as his mate. However, the feelings weren’t reciprocated at quite the same level for Marcus.

Like Tanya and Carlisle, he discovered the nutritional replacement of animal blood. When his coven learned of this behavior, they were concerned for his mental health, for the motive behind it was akin to that of an eating disorder. That was why Aro kept trying to convince Carlisle against his vegetarian lifestyle.

He was devastated and heartbroken when Marcus fell in deeper love with his sister Didyme. Once it became clear Didyme was causing more harm than good, Aro felt it was his fault for creating the mess and thus his responsibility to fix it. Ace was away when Aro killed Didyme, but he helped cover up the murder afterwards. They both agreed to not tell Marcus the truth.

He is often away from Volterra because he cannot bear seeing Marcus that debilitatingly depressed. Because he is off alone, for his safety, the Volturi don’t mention him.

Over the millenniums, he had created a number of vampires for various reasons. One of whom he made efforts to keep in touch with was a Slovakian women named Sasha, and he felt responsible for the coven she created. He made Tanya and her sisters unaware of the immortal child using his power. In truth, they all knew about Vasilii, but it was Sasha’s wish to have Ace ensure her daughters’ innocence. The most recent vampire he created was in 1920, who was a patient of his by the name of Mary Alice Brandon. He was working as a psychiatrist at a mental hospital in the Biloxi, Mississippi area. He befriended Alice and was trying to get her released. However, the electroshock therapy (Ace was spread thin enough that the ECT was administered without his approval) caused her enough retrograde amnesia that she had to relearn a lot of skills to be able to function in the outside world again. When James started hunting Alice down, Ace knew she had a gift far too valuable to waste. Alice’s life was at a crossroads. She saw the best future for her herself, which entailed being turned into a vampire and waking up alone, with no memory of her human life. He was saddened to let her go and have her forget him, but he knew that giving her that clean slate was necessary to make that best possible future for her a reality. James didn’t actually kill him of course, he only remembered it as such. Ace wanted to kill James, but Alice told him it was important that he was alive in the future.

He has a great fear of stagnation. He saw how papery looking the Romanians became when they stood still too long, and he never wants to be like that. He depends on reinventing himself as coping mechanism, and so he easily adapts to the times. He does not look ancient or like someone who belongs in the past. He acts and looks like someone of the modern era, and did throughout every era of his vampiric lifetime. He starts to gets depressed when things become too constant, hence his desire to not be cooped up in Volterra.

In the present, after the events of Breaking Dawn, he meets with the Cullen coven under Aro’s suggestion to try to smooth things over.

Astrology for the week ahead: May 31st – June 6th

The week at a glance: We are in the middle of the Gemini-Sagittarius eclipse season, with the recent Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius occurring May 26th and upcoming Solar Eclipse in Gemini on June 10th. The time in between the eclipses is in flux, requiring a re-evaluation of the Gemini/Sagittarius axis—the learning axis. How we reach out and gather information (Gemini), and how we assimilate and synthesize all this information to formulate our beliefs and guiding principles (Sagittarius).

Mercury (the mind) is retrograde in Gemini (information gathering), further emphasizing the need to re-evaluate where you have been gathering information and its effect on your well-being. Have you been experiencing information overload and news burnout, and simply need to disconnect from media to settle into your own truth and sense of direction?

Ultimately, you can be the only custodian of your consciousness and inner-world. This is a good week to tend to the custodial duties of cleaning and tidying up the information library of your mind.
