Kwannon (Revanche / Psylocke) Reading Guide
Were Kwannon's body is well known she herself had been dead for decades after her time with The X-Men as Revanche. Coming back to life Kwannon took the name Psylocke and has joined an array of teams using her lethal fighting skills alongside her telepathy and telekinesis. This reading order follows her appearances throughout the years.
Bolded: she's a main character/part of the team or it is an important issue for her. Italic: she's not necessarily a main character but still has interesting moments. Normal: She appears but it is not entirely important to her character.

Lucas Werneck uploaded a sketch of Betsy's new costume for her Dead X-Men #3 debut and she's thankfully not in her Captain Britain gear.
I wonder what her code name will be now since Kwannon goes by Psylocke? Hopefully they don't pull a 90'S X-Men thing and call her Betsy the way Jean was just referred to as Jean.
Hopefully they use the code name Revanche since Kwannon's no longer going by that.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
July 20th (Supplemental ) - Revanche
The woman named Kwannon by the Hand was raised from birth to be a killer.  As one of Japan's top assassins, she ultimately abandoned the Hand and became the top operative of the crime boss Lord Nyoirin. This brought her into conflict with her lover and rival, Hand assassin Matsu'o Tsurayaba.
After she nearly died in battle with Matsu'o, the Hand had Kwannon's body switched with that of Betsy Braddock, the X-Man known as Psylocke.  Confused and believing herself to be Braddock, Kwannon took the codename Revanche and joined the X-Men.  Shortly after discovering her true origins, Kwannon contracted the deadly Legacy Virus and was mercy-killed by Matsu'o at her request.  Betsy Braddock, meanwhile, continued to live in Kwannon's body for many years.
Later, When Braddock was attacked by the psychic vampire known as Sapphire Styx, her body was left apparently lifeless.  With her psychic powers, Psylocke managed to recreate her original body which somehow facilitated Kwannon to reclaim her original body and return to life.
Following the foundation of the Mutant nation of Krakoa, Braddock took on the new name of Captain Britain and Kwannon claimed the name ‘Psylocke’ as her own.  As a citizen of Krakoa, Kwannon became a member of the covert missions squad known as The Hellions.
Kwannon came to discover that her daughter, whom she believed was dead, was actually being kept as a psychic prisoner by Mr. Sinister.  The Hellions led a mission to put an end to Sinister’s nefarious schemes although the higher political powers of Krakoa, The Quiet Council, were more interested in keeping the whole matter a secret so not to disrupt the nation’s standing with he human world.  This ultimately resulted in Emma Frost’s decision to destroy Sinister’s lab, dashing Kwannon last hope to save her daughter.  Feelings horribly betrayed, Kwannon decided to give up on Krakoa and the Hellions, aiming to continue life as a deadly assassin, searching out solace in combat and death.
Actress Mei Melancon portrayed Psylocke (in Kwannon’s body) in the Fox Films move, X-Men: The Last Stand; whereas actress Olivia Munn portrayed the same role in the move X-Men: Apocalypse.  The heroine first appeared in the pages of Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1 #256 (1989).

Kwannon as Revanche in X-Men #21
Fandom: X-Men (comics) Characters: Kwannon (in Elizabeth Braddock's body) — [ Reblogs > Likes | No AI involved ] —
Katie McGrath as Revanche, as the character appeared in X-Men #21
———————————————————————————————
In X-Men #21 for some reasons Revanche was drawn with curly hairs instead of the usual luscious wavy. When I stumbled upon this Katie McGrath's pic, this specific Revanche immediately came to my mind and I did this colorize.
Katie McGrath is my (dream) fancasting for Betsy. There'll never be any chance for her to ever play Betsy, not even for a photoshoot (sadly, she'd be considered too old by now), but she'll remain my "face" for British Betsy. Still looking for the perfect Kwannon face.
———————————————————————————————
Turn black hair in a specific vivid (and unnatural) colour such as Betsy Braddock's purples is... a test. Besides the hair dye, I applied some lipstick in the shade of the colour Revanche's lips were painted in the comic issue. Also, purple eyes, off course. Alas, it took me half of the time of what it took me to do the signature. No AI involved, just Photoshop CS2.
