Eobard Thawne x male reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
I love Thawne sm, he’s my bbygirl. He’s a lil crazy, but that’s okay.
Now Thawne is literally just the biggest hater in all of existence, like God damn. He runs on hate and spite, and I appreciate that, because its relatable.
Youd most likely have met after he’s been in a fight with some hero or similar. Maybe he crashes into your yard or into your apartment. You don’t know much about heroes, you know the main ones sure, but you don’t keep track of all of them.
So, when you see someone who looks like a yellow flash in your yard bleeding out, you just kinda shrug and drag him inside, patching him up to the best of your ability. You get the head part of his suit off him and your pleasantly surprised at how red his hair is, you’ve always liked redheads.
You know nothing about speedsters’ preferences for food, and your used to cooking for just one person and have meal prepped for that. But you pull out some snacks you got laying around and a bottle of water, and put it on table beside Thawne, where you flopped him onto your couch.
When Thawne wakes, he’s immediately ready to fight, until he notices he’s just laying on someone’s couch, in a random living room who knows where. He’s honestly confused, because he’s a well-known villain and was in the middle of a fight.
He almost jumps up to throw hands when you walk into the room, eating whatever dinner you had prepped the day before. Imagine his surprise when you just go “hey, your awake. I found you in my yard, you good?”
Insert very confused Thawne, he tries to pull the whole, evil villain thing, but you are so chill and unamused that he just ends up giving up. One way or another you two just end up sitting on the couch and watching the newest episode of your current show.
It becomes a thing honestly. In the beginning he shows up after fights for you to patch up, even though you know very little first aid, but whatever. You put up with it, because if that’s the payment you have to pay for a hot redhead to sit shirtless on your couch, so be it.
Thawne won’t admit it for a long time, but he starts to enjoy your company quite a lot. Maybe it’s the fact that you couldn’t care less about him being a villain or what he does that has heroes after him. Or maybe it’s the fact that you don’t put up with his shit either.
The first time you scolded him and called him an idiot, his heart stuttered, and he won’t ever admit but his face got almost as red as his hair.
You tell him with a flat expression that he’s eating you out of house and home, because of speedster metabolism, so Thawne starts bringing groceries and helping around the house.
At some point you two realize he’s just kinda moved in, like a big street cat you’ve been feeding on your porch, that walked inside and just never left again.
You two never outright say you are dating, it just hits Thawne one day that you guys are cuddling on the couch and watching movies, and that you guys give each other kisses before you go to work, or Thawne runs off to be a villain like normal.
Its honestly quite domestic. I could imagine Thawne taking care of housework since you are the “breadwinner”, since you are the only one with a legal job. Sure, Thawne steals to get money, but he also starts stealing stuff you guys can use around the house.
Imagine Barry and the other speedster’s confusion when Thawne steals a brand-new dishwasher, or a whole porch set, chairs, tables, and all.
You never stop Thawne, since being a villain is kinda his whole thing, you just tell him not to do it with you around, so you have plausible deniability. You do appreciate the gifts he brings you too, but you never mention how most of the shirts he brings you are a little tight, you know he likes looking at you.
Thawne goes a lil crazy when you come home after work wearing your slacks, your button up and your tie. He always wants to be the one to undo your tie so he can pull you into a kiss.
He gets you expensive accessories you can wear to work, think watches that cost more than what you make in six months, tie clips, rings, etc. Everyone at your job honestly think you have some super rich sugar daddy.
You are both quite happy with your relationship, and theres nothing better than coming home to Thawne in an apron, cooking up in the kitchen. He always purrs when you come in through the door and swaggers over, drapes his arms over you, and asks about your day.
After some time, you two get engaged, it just kinda happened. You guys already act like a married couple, but one of you would have proposed. If it was you, you’d pull out a ring on a date or just during one of the evenings you are cuddling on the couch. You would use your family’s heirloom ring.
If its Thawne, he would go out of his way to make a huge deal out of it. hed rob the highest security jewelers in the world, or force the best jewelry maker to make a custom ring.
When the heroes show up its most likely Barry, maybe some of the others since Thawne has been MIA for a long time. They assumed he was planning something big, but he’s been busy playing househusband for you this entire time.
When they learn he’s trying to get a wedding ring they all thing “wait he’s got a lover???”. Thawne is gone before they can catch him though.
The heroes assume the worst, and assume his partner is as much of a villain as he is. Then Barry gets a wedding invite, written by you, since Barry’s been Thawnes nemesis for who knows how long.
Barry has always been a good guy, and since the invite specificlally says not to start anything at the wedding, he goes. Barry goes with the plan to scope out Thawne and his partner, but also to support him cuz its Barry.
Then he sees that Thawne is marrying you, the most normal guy he’s ever seen. When he talks to you, he realizes that you truly love Thawne, and though Thawne doesn’t say it with words, it’s clear the way he looks at you that he’s completely smitten.
The wedding goes great, and Barry is a big supporter, especially when he realizes Thawnes villainy has gone down a lot because he’s so happy with you, that he doesn’t wanna put you are risk.
It ends up becoming a peace thing, Thawne doesn’t do anything huge and Barry wont lock him away for life or have him thrown in the phantom zone. Thawne wont target Barry’s family and alike, and Thawne gets to stay with you.

"Oh, look at this view! What is an angel like you doing out there in these cold and dangerous streets?"
You heard a deep, robotic voice that froze your blood. So you kept running. Sure, if you call it "running". You stumbled and walked with "fast" steps, as waking up lying on a road at such a late hour naturally panicked you. You were dizzy, about to fall, but tried to keep your balance. You had to stop and breathe every few seconds because you were so weak.
"These streets are crawling with villains. What if a mean, rough one sees you? What a bad man could do to a soft babygirl like you!"
You tried to "run" faster, but you fell. You didn't know if you tripped or just because of weakness, but you couldn't take it any longer. You couldn't get up from the ground so you lifted yourself with support from your arms. You looked around in fear, like your heart was going to pierce your chest. Who did this terrifying sound belong to? Where were you?
"Help!" You sobbed so hard. You cried so much that your calls for help were barely heard. You couldn't do anything else, you were so miserable. At that moment, a figure appeared before you. Yellow, blurry and with two red eyes. Were you dying?
The figure came ruthlessly closer and closer to you, even as you crawled backwards screaming. With an almost sadistic slowness. As if he was enjoying your vulnerable and frightened form. As if he was in no rush and enjoying your warm tears. As if listening intently to your high pitched, trembling and whimpering voice.
"Oh, my poor little girl. So scared, all helpless and confused." You were about to pass out, but he didn't seem to care. In fact, you could even say he liked it. He spread his legs wide as if he was proud of the dominance of his big body over your small, curled one and stood right in front of you. He tilted his head and listened to your pleas for a while. How you begged him not to hurt you and let you go.
Sitting down in front of you with one knee on the ground, you shielded yourself with your one arm out of self-preservation. He let out a visible dark smile and held your chin before you could resist. At that moment, his blurry vision and red eyes were gone, replaced by a rather attractive man with a devilish smile, without his mask.
"Hello, princess."
You felt a chill when you first heard his intense, real voice, which evoked strange feelings in you. You wanted to use the arm you were holding in front of you to pull him back, but you were too scared to make him mad. On the other hand, you couldn't take any more support with one arm and you were shaking but you didn't want to pull your arm down, like you could even protect yourself with it. As you were about to lose your balance, he grabbed you by the waist and placed you on his knee. He had a smile on his face as he ran his hand over your cheek. His eyes focused on your widened ones. "Oh, look at you. You're so beautiful yet so defenseless. In desperate need of protection. Your delicious, weak little body needs a hero, like me."
"No... What- Who are you? What happened to me?" Your voice was hoarse from tiredness and you cried silently. He soothed you as he stroked your hair. "Shh... It's okay, you're safe with me." He lifted you a little and whispered in your ear. "I'm a superhero"
His suspicious laugh made you shudder even more. "No- Let me g-"
"Let's go, princess." And in the blinking of an eye, he took you to a place you don't know where.

I Have Something For You (Eobard Thawne X Reader)
A/N: Helloooooo. Here's a little one-shot that didn't make it into More Than He Bargained For that I thought you would all enjoy!
---------------------------------
"I have to go out of town for a couple of days," Eobard reluctantly informed you, his expression softening as he looked down at your pouting face. "What? Why?" you protested, your eyes searching his for an explanation.
Eobard couldn't resist the charm of your pout; it made him feel guilty about leaving you. A warm smile graced his lips as he reassured you, "I have to do this thing for work, but I'll be back before you know it."
"Impossible," you countered, pressing a quick, affectionate kiss on his lips before snuggling closer to him. "I always hate when you aren't here."
He sighed, his gaze fixed on you. He wished he could freeze this moment, capture it in eternity. You and him…happy, lovers. You made the stagnant existence in this time period bearable. "Why can't you take me with you?" you asked, breaking him out of his thoughts.
"You know I can't," he replied, his voice filled with a touch of regret.
You groaned in response, not happy but acceptingly. "Alright."
A comfortable silence enveloped the room as the television droned on in the background, providing background noise with its latest stock market analysis.
"I have something for you," Eobard suddenly broke the silence, his voice infused with anticipation.
Your eyes lit up, and you sat up eagerly, a smile tugging at your lips. "Oh? What is it?"
"We have to go outside, though," he teased, pressing a tender kiss on your lips. "Meet me outside," he said, his voice carrying a hint of excitement.
You giggled as you watched him almost trip on his way to your shared bedroom, his playful smile and wink leaving you with a sense of curiosity. Grabbing your shoes, you headed outside to join him.
Eobard's house was a cozy haven, nestled alongside the lake bordering Central City. The backyard was a sight to behold, with towering, lush trees adorned with delicate jar lights. A beautiful garden with a meandering stone path guided you towards the shimmering lake. From this vantage point, you could also see the dazzling cityscape, adding to the enchantment of your little piece of heaven.
"It's beautiful."
You turned around and found Eobard standing beside you, a gentle smile playing on his lips. Your heart fluttered at the sight of him. "It is," you replied, unable to contain your joy.
"Oh, I wasn't talking about the view," he sweetly retorted, his gaze filled with affection.
You couldn't help but grin, feeling the warmth spread across your cheeks.
"Before I go, I wanted to give you something, but first, I have to ask you something," Eobard began, his voice laced with nerves.
Curiosity ignited within you. "Okay," you responded, your voice soft and filled with anticipation.
He took a deep breath, his hand trembling slightly as it ran through his hair. "Is everything okay?" you asked, concern creeping into your voice.
"Yes! Yes, I just—" he stammered, his eyes meeting yours before he finally gathered his composure. Stepping forward, his voice regained strength. "Will you marry me?"
You stood frozen, unable to process the question at first.
Did he just...?
Oh my goodness..
He just asked me to marry him
"Yes, of course!" you squealed with delight as he kissed you passionately, sealing the moment. As you pulled apart, your eyes glanced down and spotted a dazzling diamond ring with your beloved gemstone nestled in the center.
Overwhelmed with joy, you looked up at him and said, "I love you."
A radiant smile graced his face as he replied, "I love you too."

Imagine Eobard Thawne risking his life to save you.
Tumblr media
Eobard thought he knew what it was like to lose everything. All of the times that The Flash had humiliated him, made him lose faith in himself, lose faith in the only idol that he ever had, he was sure that he had felt it all. He lost his job while working diligently on creating on his own suit, he lost touch with his family because he was so busy building this persona, this superhero. He thought he knew it all, until you came into the picture.Until you became someone whom he could lose.
He had three choices ahead of him, and none of them seemed ideal. He could a) save you from the fire that he knew that you were caught in because you had called STARLabs looking for help, though this would mean potentially putting himself in the hands of Barry. b) He could stop Barry, and knew that if there were any fatalities in the building because of their fight, Barry would blame himself which would work well into his plan. Or c) he could stay here in his Harrison Wells disguise and do absolutely nothing.
“I have to use the bathroom, excuse me,” He said to Cisco, and wheeled out of the room while Cisco was on the comms to Barry, leading him to the sight of the fire. He didn’t go to the bathroom. He went to his secret room, clamored out of the chair, and pulled on the yellow suit. You were the only good part of the timeline. The glue of the team, the one who took care of everyone. You had been taking care of Harrison for a while now, never suspecting that he was anything or anyone other than who he had said that he was. You were the only person he felt guilty lying to. You were almost as important to him as his mission.
There was no other real choice but option A.
A yellow light streaked through Central City as he arrived at the fire. He couldn’t slow down, even if that meant giving himself away. You said you were on the fifth floor, having come for an appointment about something or other. Barry couldn’t show favoritism. He couldn’t just get you out. He was too good. He had to try to get everyone. But Eobard wasn’t the good guy here. He could be selfish. He could just get you.
His particular light was noticed, and Barry steered in his direction, trying to push him away, out of the building, somewhere else to fight. Or at least to distract him from the fire so he could get the citizens out and then fight. But Eobard was not to be put off. He crashed into Barry’s side, pushing him into the flames and kept going, up the stairs, his feet barely touching the ground, fifth floor - he saw the sign through the heavy smoke. And then it was his turn to be hit, to be thrown off of his guard and slammed into one of the walls which had a weak foundation, crumbling away and causing him to be thrown to the ground, nearly to the window. He got up, having to focus on moving his face to keep the blur up, then speeding past the flash to search through the rooms. It was like that game, Beyblades, with the way that they were bumping into one another, trying to throw each other off of the path. But it was, ultimately Eobard that found you first. Who scooped you while Barry was distracted by trying to get a hold of himself after a particularly nasty push, and brought you down to the ground safely.
You were in shock, to say the least. Barry, you expected. The Man in Yellow? Not so much. But he had saved you, despite his reputation for violence and hatred. “Umm - thank you,” You said. You couldn’t see his face through the blur that he was causing, not a single feature could be made out but you thought you were looking at his eyes. “Thank you,” You said, more stable this time. He didn’t say anything, didn’t dare, just made sure that you were on your feet, and then rushed off without another word, straight to STAR Labs, straight back to his Harrison clothes, to the wheelchair, and wheeled himself out.
“What did I miss?” He asked, returning to Cisco’s side, looking at the monitors.
“Man in Yellow, y/n is safe,” Cisco muttered, distracted. “I don’t see any sign of him anywhere. Looks like he left the scene Barry. I can’t find him.”
“Okay, I’ll just take care of the rest of the survivors,” Barry’s voice came through. Eobard didn’t sigh in relief, at least not audibly. On the inside though, yes. You were safe. He wasn’t caught. The risk had all been totally worth it.

(SET DURING S2 EP10 “Legion of Doom” OF DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW!)
Tumblr media
The Vanishing Point
An awkward silence drifted throughout The Vanishing Point as you stood in the middle of the room, both of your arms crossed over your chest. Part of you didn’t want to move an inch. Perhaps it was the mere fact you were in a room full of complete strangers, all but the blonde-haired man who was a familiar face. Eobard Thawne. Not only a speedster, but your mentor and a good friend. You shifted in your position. The lingering stares from the two other men in the room, Damien Darhk and Malcolm Meryln left you feeling uncomfortable. “Eobard… Care to explain the child standing in the middle of the room?” Damien raised a questioning eyebrow. You looked between the two other gentlemen. Guess they hadn’t quite been informed that of tour presence yet. Malcolm nodded his head as well. “Yes. Because I’m not quite understanding who she is or why she’s here when she clearly doesn’t belong.” He quipped.
Eobard was quick to pick up your nervousness. “Gentlemen…” He placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. “You’ll want to treat this young lady right here with the uttermost respect.”
“Why is that?” Malcolm quizzed.
“Gentlemen, meet Y/N L/N.” Eobard told them. “She’s an intelligent young woman, who happens to also be a speedster like myself. And, she is here because she is going to aid us in our mission of retrieving The Sphere of Destiny.”Eobard gently squeezed your shoulder, before letting go. It wasn't easy for you to remain still; especially when you had never met these people before. But, there was no reason to show any more fear or uncertainty than necessary. So, you took a deep breath, and straightened your back. “Hello…” You spoke, quietly.
“This is your plan?” Malcolm scoffed. “A teenage girl with super speed?” He seemed disgruntled.
"I assure you.” Eobard assured him. "My time spent with her has proven to me she's exactly what we need." Eobard seemed confident.
“Which comes to my question…” Damien stepped forward as well. “How do you know this girl?” You crossed your arms over your chest. While you were open to speak as well, you just didn’t think the time was right. “All you need to know is she’s my student. And I’ve been training her in how to properly use her ability’s.” Eobard replied, simply.
“Training?” Damien blinked.
“Which in other words means, she’s useless.” Malcolm retorted. “She doesn’t know her full potential, which means she’s more vulnerable.” You felt a string pull at your heart. You looked down, hurt by the man’s words.
“Malcolm does a point, Eobard. Your underling can’t be relied upon. She knows nothing about the abilities she possesses. It would be unwise to to bring her into this if she’s not capable.” Damien argued. He knew that they needed someone who could help. Someone powerful enough.
You looked up to see the three men staring at each other. It was understandable if they seemed hesitant about this. But although you were still learning about your abilities, you knew you would be fully capable of what little of your powers you knew to aid them on their mission. They just needed time for you to prove it to them. And you were sure that Eobard would do his best to try and help them see that.
“Gentlemen, I know you have your doubts about her.” Eobard replied. “But I assure you. She is a speedster. She can learn quickly. If you give her the opportunity, she will prove herself to be a valuable asset.”And as her teacher, I will not let her fail.”
“I can’t believe I’m listening to this.” Malcolm scoffed. He shakes his head. With that, the archer didn’t hesitate to leave the room.
Damien stepped closer to Eobard. “You can’t blame him, Eobard. Bringing a kid into this isn’t your smartest idea. Just think about it. I’ll leave you and the girl to talk.” Damien nodded his head, before he too decided to leave.
That left you and Eobard.
Letting out an exasperated sigh, Eobard rubbed his forehead. “They really itch my nerves.”
You frowned. You could tell that Eobard was extremely stressed out about the situation. You looked down. “Eobard… I’m sorry that your partners are hesitate to trust you bringing me along.“ You looked back up, your gaze meeting with the speedsters. “But… Maybe it’s just going to take them some time? I mean, don’t you remember how hesitate you were at first about teaching me how to use my speed?” You tried to remind him. Hoping he’d get your point. Eobard looked at you. He paused for a moment, but soon nodded his head. Remembering back to a time so long ago, when the two of you had first met. “Yes…” He muttered. “I was so unsure. I didn’t think you would be capable of handling that kind of power. But… In time, you showed me how strong you were.”
“Then maybe they just need time.” You told him. “Time to see my strength. Right?” You gave him a soft expression to reassure him.
Eobard let out another sigh. He seemed to understand what you were getting out. Yes. Maybe that’s what they needed? Time. Time to get to know you. To see your potential the same way that they did. “I guess, Kiddo.” Eobard replied. “But as much as I’d like them to, they’re very arrogant. It’s hard to get them to agree with anything I say.”
You couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. “Arrogant? Geez, that totally doesn’t remind me of someone I know.”
Eobard gave you a quizzical look. “Oh really?”
You shrugged your shoulder lightly. Now seeming to be more comfortable now that it was just you and him. “He’s not that bad though. In fact, he’s a pretty good teacher.” This time, your smile was more genuine. Eobard couldn’t help but manage a faint, but also genuine smile. He always appreciated your compliments. They boosted his ego.
Eobard chuckled. “Well I’m glad you think so.” He walked over to you. You never broke his gaze.
“Try not to stress yourself out too much, okay?” You plead. You knew how Eobard got when he was stressed out and angry. Eobard huffed, stopping within arms length of you. “Y/N…” He began. He placed his hands on the sides of your arms, looking down at you. “You should know my associates aren’t the most…”
“Understandable?” You added.
Eobard nodded. He tilted his head slightly. His bright blue eyes focused on you. “Yes. That’s a good way of putting it.”
“Eobard, it’s okay.” You reassured. “I’m not a little kid that needs to be hovered over. I can handle myself. I understand that my trust must be earned. And I’ll do whatever I can to ensure it is.” You wanted him to know that you would put all of your effort into this mission. “You should know better than anyone that I don’t give up so easily.”
Eobard knew that you had the heart of a fighter. Which is why he couldn’t think of anyone else better to help aid him in this mission. But… Sometimes, that did worry him. Often, he worried that your courage and bravery would be what got you hurt. Or worse, killed. But of course, he could never gather the courage himself to tell you that. Instead, he found subtle and simple ways to express his worries, hoping that one day you might notice. “Of course, I know that Y/N. But I just worry my associates might not hesitate if they see you aren’t fit for this.” Eobard told you. “I just want you to be careful around them. Okay?” His expression softened.
“Of course.” You nodded.
“But I don’t want you to feel frightened by them or intimated for that matter.” Eobard told you. Because he wouldn’t dare let them harm you. “I assure you, I will ensure they treat you kindly.” He reassured you.
You smiled softly. There was something about Eobard that made you feel safe. And even though he was a very powerful speedster, he also possessed a very gentle side to him. That was something you appreciated and admired about him. And over the years, you had caught on to how protective Eobard had become of you. Eobard treated you much like a daughter. He cared deeply for you. And you would do everything in your power to make sure that you wouldn’t disappoint him.
“Oh don’t worry, Damien and Malcolm don’t frighten me.” You remarked. In fact, there wasn’t much that could scare you.
Eobard chuckled. “Didn’t think they would.”
“I’m tougher than I look.” You smirked.
Suddenly, Eobard’s watch pinged, and he looked down at he. Letting out an exasperated sigh, he looked up at you. “Sorry Y/N, but I must be going. It’s urgent.” You looked at him, and nodded. Understanding that he had to go, and to let him know it was okay. “But no worries, I’ll be back before you know it.” He gently gave your shoulder a nudge, before disappearing in a flash of red lighting.
~~
Time seemed to pass entirely…oddly in The Vanishing Point. In fact, you had been unable to determine how long it had been since Eobard had left to attend his business. Sitting on a table, you swing your legs back and forth. As a Speedster, you were used to being able to run about wherever you wanted, and however long you wanted. So you weren’t used to sitting around and doing nothing. Though, you supposed you shouldn’t take the peace for granted. It was nice to have a moment where your mind wasn’t racing with thoughts and feelings. Although, the more that you sat there. The more you felt like things just weren't quite right. It was a bad feeling. While yes being in The Vanishing Point all alone was very creepy, this feeling was completely separate from that. Hopping off of the table, you felt compelled to explore your surroundings. To become more familiar with them.
It was unclear, when Eobard would return from his duties. So might as well make the most of your time, right?
As you were exploring the Vanishing Point, you had stumbled upon a room. A darkened one. As you entered the room, your footsteps had made an echoing noise.
“Hello?! Who’s there?” A frantic voice called.
You stopped in your tracks. The voice, was completely unfamiliar to you. It wasn’t Eobard, nor was it Damien or Malcolm. It was a man, that was for sure. “Hello?” You called out.
You stepped forwards, and as you had gotten farther into the room, your eyes laid on a man. The voice you heard.
Sitting in the middle of the room, tied to a chair, was a man. Your eyes grew. What the hell?
“Please. Please, whoever you are. Don’t-Don’t come near me!” He shouted. You slowly, and cautiously walked over to the man. Who was this man? Why was he here? Tied up. It was clear that the man was extremely frightened. So you had to do your best to try and call him down.
“Hey-it’s…it’s okay.” You stopped in front of him. “I won’t hurt you.”
The man looked you up and down. “You…you’re just a kid.” He muttered. He shakes his head. “Please. Please. Help me. Let me out of here.”
His eyes. You could see the fear and panic in them. This man was terrified for his life. He seemed so desperate to escape. You swallowed. At first, you were hesitant. Why was this man even here in the first place? Was he dangerous? You didn’t know.
“I-“ You began. “Who are you? What happened?”
“My name is Phil. I’m-I’m a director. I was kidnapped by these two crazy dudes!” The man tried to explain. “Please. Please, you gotta let me out man. You have to free me and get me out of here. I think they’re going to torture me or even kill me.”
Torture? Kill?
Eobard didn’t have any part in this did he? Oh you hoped he didn’t.
“Who? Who kidnapped you?” You asked.
“These two dudes. They had these weird guns.” Phil replied. “Kept talking about some Sphere. I don’t know about any Sphere.” He told you.
The Sphere of Destiny?
Was he talking about Malcom and Damien? They kidnapped this man? Why? What did he have to do with any of this. You let out a shaky breath. “You mean, The Sphere of Destiny? Is that what they were asking about?”
Phil nodded. “Yes yes. They kept saying I’m some guy named Rip Hunter. Man. He’s a character from my movie!”
Rip Hunter?
Rip Hunter was a Time-Master, from the 22nd century.
“Rip Hunter?” You quizzed. You took a second glance at him. Really getting a good look at him. His hair and beard were longer. His clothes seemed normal, but the way he spoke. Completely opposite of someone from London. But it was him. It was definitely him. This was Rip Hunter. “What I don’t understand. What happened to you?”
“What?” Rip quizzed. He then shakes his head. “No no. You don’t understand. I am NOT Rip Hunter. I am Phil!” He looked at you, his eyes grew. “Wait. Wait. Is this some sort of test. Oh god. Are you with them?” He seemed to panic.
“Yes.” You answered. “Wait-no I mean… Yes. I’m with them. But…” But you didn’t know about this. “But I had no idea about this.”
“Look, can you just please let me go?” Rip plead. “Just let me go, and I’ll be on my way. I swear. I won’t press charges.”
Your expression softened. This wasn’t supposed to be Rip Hunter. But something wasn’t right. It was like he didn’t even remember who he was. Regardless, you could never deny someone asking for help. “Okay okay. Calm down? I’ll let you out.” You reached down, to untie his bonds.
Rip nodded his head and let out sigh of relief. “Thank you. Thank you.”
Your mind began to race.
Why would they kidnap Rip Hunter?
Why can he not remember who he is?
Well, it seemed that your instincts were right. That things had felt very off. You continued to untie Rip’s bonds, when suddenly you felt a burning sensation in your hands. “OW.” You yelped, letting go of the rope and stepping backwards. What was that?
Rip’s eyes grew wide. “What are you doing?” He shakes his head. “Why did you stop? Keep going! You have got to get me out.”
“I’m afraid she won’t be doing that.” A grim voice came from behind.
Your head turned, and you looked over to see Damien Darhk. The older gentleman gave a smug smirk, as he began to walk in your direction. You held your hand, which still had that burning sensation. “You...”
“It seems the little bird has flown too far away from its nest.” Damien said. Though, he would narrow his eyes at you. “Now, what are you doing snooping around in places you shouldn't?”
You shake your head. “Why does Eobard have Rip Hunter locked up here?”
Damien Darhk simply shrugged his shoulders. “Captain Hunter, is here because he has information regarding on the whereabouts of the rest of the Sphere of Destiny.” He took a step towards you.
“That doesn’t answer my question.” You stared. “Why is he being kept a prisoner?”
“Well you see Y/N, this is what we like to call an interrogation. I’m sure you’re familiar with the concept of good cop, and bad cop.” He replied. “Captain Hunter has been keeping this said information from us, and this is the only way to get him to cooperate.”
“By torturing him?” You scoffed.
“Torture is...a last resort.” Damien told you.
“What about...what about the fact he doesn't remember who he is?” You knew that Damien Darhk and Malcolm Meryln couldn’t be good people, and this seemed to prove that theory. Kidnapping. Torture. These were the ways of villain's. “What did you do to him?”
“See that’s the thing.” Damien chuckled. “Captain Hunter’s memory loss was entirely his doing. His sad attempt of keeping the Sphere’s whereabouts from us.”
“I...I don’t understand...” You looked away.
“If you’re so eager to ask so many questions, then you may want to start with seeking out your mentor.” Damien said. You looked back up at him.
“Eobard?” You quizzed.
Damien nodded his head. “Eobard is the head of this operation.”
So this was Eobard’s idea? To kidnap and torture Rip Hunter? You swallowed. That idea made you feel a pit in your stomach. Why? Why would Eobard ever want to do something so awful?
“So this is his idea?” You asked.
“Mostly, yes.” Damien told you. “Malcolm and I were just pulled along the way.”
“Hey! Hey! I’m still here!” Rip shouted. He looked between the two of you. “Look man I don’t know what the hell is going on here, but let me go!”
Damien Darhk looked to Rip Hunter, and stared daggers into his gaze. “It’s incredibly rude of you to interrupt our conversation.” He then looked back at you. Damien could tell that this had all come to a shock to you. That you hadn’t expected it. Which made sense to him. He reckoned Eobard would keep his wicked ways from his underling. “Look… I can tell this is all a shock to you. May I suggest, maybe confronting Eobard about it?”
“Confront him?” You shake your head. Would he even open up to you, or would he deny it?
“Yes. Because I’m sure if you pushed it enough, he would have choice but to open up to you.” Damien Darhk walked over to where Rip was sitting. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some interrogating to do.”
It was more of a demand, then a suggest.
So, you gave Damien Darhk a nod, before flashing off in search of Eobard.
~~
With your mind racing with thoughts, you continued throughout the Vanishing Point. This didn’t seem like it should be a reality. And it certainly didn’t make any sense! Why would Eobard want to keep something like this from you? Why would he kidnap Rip Hunter? As you entered the man area, you gaze landed on that of Eobard Thawne. The older speedster was sitting at a computer, and appeared to be doing some sort of work. But of course at the sound of the echoing footsteps, his head turned. To look at you as you had entered the room. A smile graced his features. “Hello, Y/N.” He greeted. He let out a sigh, before standing up from the computer. “I told you I wouldn’t back, didn’t I?” He gave a little smirk. Eobard walked out from behind from the desk.
You stopped halfway towards him.
“Yeah…you did.” You replied.
Eobard narrowed his eyes. “Is everything alright?”
At first, you were hesitant to answer. You knew you could pretend like things were fine. But what would be the point? So Eobard could keep being so secretive? So, instead you chose to be straightforward and blunt. “I don’t know… Pretty shocked by the fact that a version of Rip Hunter who doesn’t know who he is, is locked up in the other room.”
This caught Eobard completely off guard. He let out a chuckle. “I’m sorry?”
You crossed your arms over your chest, and huffed. “When you asked me to help you find the Sphere of Destiny, I didn’t think it would involve kidnapping and torture.”
Eobard went silent for a moment. It seemed he was debating if he even wanted to reply. But after a moment, he lets out a sigh. “Captain Hunter is not in his right mind right now. He has no true idea of his identity. I merely pushed Damien and Malcolm to ensure that Mr.Hunter wouldn’t become a danger to himself or others.”
That was his excuse?
“I get that but…” You shake your head. “Damien said he rid himself of his memories to keep you all from discovering where the Sphere of Destiny was.” You swallowed.
“Yes, he did.” Eobard nodded.
“But that implies he knows something I don’t.” You replied. It suggested that allowing Eobard and his associates to have the Sphere of Destiny in their possession, was dangerous. That it couldn’t be. Why? Why would it be dangerous?
They wanted to retrieve the Sphere so it could become a treasured artifact. How was that dangerous l?
Eobard shrugged his shoulders. “Mr.Hunter is a Time-Master. Well, more a former one anyways. I’m sure he thought that keeping anyone from knowing where the Sphere was, was the best way to protect history.”
“Eobard..” Your voice became lower.
Eobard raised an eyebrow. “Y/N, please. If you are worried about Captain Hunter’s well-being, then I have no problem ensuring Mr.Darhk, and Mr.Meryln use more…ethical ways of persuading him.”
“That’s not just it, Eobard.” You told him.
Not only, did you feel that Eobard was keeping more than one just secret from you but…but you couldn’t quite explain his behavior. One day, you and Eobard were in the lab. He was going on about how ecstatic he was to present himself to the world. To show them that he too could be a hero, just as the man and hero he admired. The Flash. The next, Eobard Thawne was gone. He had left a note to you, saying he had something important to tend to. That he would be: Back in a Flash. But… But he was gone, for an entire year. No calls. No texts. Nothing. Where did he go in all of that time? What was he doing? You were so desperate to know now.
A frown now graced Eobard’s features. “Then what is it?” He placed a hand on your shoulder. “You can tell me anything, you know that.”
Letting out a shaky breath, you straightened your posture. “Eobard, you left. You left and you were gone for an entire year.”
Eobard looked down at you. “Yeah…Yeah I was.”
“An entire year.” You repeated. But this time, hurt was in your voice. “All you left me was a note. No calls or texts. No indication of where you were or why you were gone for so long.”
Eobard sighed. He could tell by that look in your eyes, that this was going to be a very long and complicated conversation. One that you weren’t going to let go of so easily. He knew you well enough to know that.
“I know and…” He sighed. “I’m sorry.”
You bite the inside of your cheek. Eobard Thawne was your mentor. Your friend. In a way, he was like a father to you, and he just up and leaves you?
“Sorry?” You scoffed. “Is that all you can say…”
Eobard Thawne knew that this conversation would be a very complicated one. One that he would have to help her understand. He knew in his heart, he couldn’t lie to her. He had to tell her the truth. The only issue with that, was that Eobard knew what that truth would do to her. Y/N looked up to him. She admired him. The same way he once admired The Flash. He saw the good parts of him. Completely unaware of the bad parts. The parts that were merciless and ruthless. He didn’t really want to have this conversation with her. But he knew that she wouldn’t stop pushing, until he did eventually her the truth.
Eobard sighed. “No of course not I-“ He let go of her shoulder. “I just…don’t know where to start with this.”
“Maybe with where you went?” You quizzed. You crossed your arms over your chest. What kind of business had been so important he had to abandon her?
“Right.” He cleared his throat.
You knew that Eobard had tended to be secretive with her about things. And in the past, you didn’t ever want to push him about them. But this time, this time you had to. “What could’ve been so important that you couldn’t tell me?“ You shake your head.
Eobard tensed. But he knew he had to tell her. “Okay okay.” He sighed. “I did leave you, yes. But, I left with the intention of coming back. I never meant to leave you hanging. I’m sorry I couldn’t contact you.”
“Couldn’t, or wouldn’t?” You remarked.
“I wanted to contact you.” Eobard told you. “I promise, I did. But don’t things happened. And for months I left unable to reach you.”
“Where were you, Eo?” You uncrossed your arms. All of that time, you had felt so alone. While yeah, you still had your family and friends. But you and Eobard had always shared a profound bond.
“I…I traveled through time.” Eobard huffed.
Your eyes grew wide. He traveled through time? Why? Where did he go? “What? Why? Where did you travel to?”
“The year 2000.” Eobard looked down. “I uh, I went there to um…to see The Flash.”
The Flash? You tried to search your mind for answers. You knew that Eobard Thawne had admired The Flash. And perhaps yes, you did too. The Flash was a great hero, that would he remembered for centuries.
“The Flash?” You replied. “I don’t understand.” You shake your head. “Why would travel so far just to see The Flash? And if I’m not mistaken, that’s years before The Flash even came to be. He would’ve been young then.”
Eobard nodded. That you had been right about. Barry Allen, had just been a child. 11 years old. “Yes, that you are right about.”
“Eobard, you aren’t making sense!” You protested. What sense did it make that Eobard would travel all the way through time, to see The Flash before he came to be?
Eobard nodded. “I know. But… It will make sense.” He let out another sigh. “I didn’t just travel back in time to visit The Flash. I…” He closed his eyes for a moment. “I traveled back in time to kill him.”
Kill him? What?
Now he really wasn’t making any sense! This was absurd! Now, you were believing that he was starting to make things up.
“Kill him?” You scoffed. “Okay. Eobard, that’s not funny. That’s absurd. Why can’t you just tell me the truth? Instead of making up stories!”
“It’s not a story.” Eobard shakes his head. He looked back up to you.
“It has to be.” You remarked. Right? The Flash was his idol. The man who inspired him to even give himself super-speed in the first place. What sense did it make that he would want to kill his hero?
“It isn’t, I’m afraid.” Eobard said.
You looked at Eobard. And suddenly, you saw no sign of deception. Like he was actually being truthful.
“So you traveled back in time in kill the same man you idolize?” You shake your head. “No. No Eobard, stop. This is…this is crazy. Why would you want to kill The Flash? He’s your idol. He’s the very reason you even gave yourself super-speed in the first place! You’re not making sense!”Tears welled in your eyes. “Eobard, please. Just tell me the truth. Okay? I…I don’t get mad. I promise. Just tell me the truth.” You plead.
Eobard placed his hands on your shoulders. “I am telling you the truth but…” He breathed out. “But there is more to it. You’re right. The Flash is the very reason I gave myself super-speed. I idolized him. I’ve spent my whole life wanting to be like him. And when I finally did become like him, fast, well…I wanted to not just be like The Flash.” He sighed. “I wanted to be The Flash.” You tensed up, but kept your gaze on him. “And I was so close, Y/N. So close to presenting myself to the world. Showing them that I could be the hero that they needed. I could be The Flash.” His gaze darted downwards. “Then The Flash showed up. And what did he do? Stole my glory. Stole my crowd.” He clenched his jaw. “Then…then he saved the crowd. The crowd I was meant to impress. He stole everything from me.”
You listened to him. “So, he did his job? What…why want to kill him?”
Eobard looked back up. “The Flash took everything from me, Y/N. He took my chance of being a hero. Of being him. And to make matters worse, I learned… I learned that not only wouldn’t I never be The Flash, but I would destined to be his enemy.”
His enemy? “Enemy?” Eobard was suggesting that he was meant to be some sort of villain. No. No they couldn’t be! Eobard wasn’t a villain! He was your friend. Your mentor. “What? Eobard, that’s insane. You’re not…you’re not a bad guy…”
“Oh Y/N…” Eobard kept his hands on your shoulders. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for misleading about the kind of man I am…”
“What? No…I…I don’t understand…” You stared
“I am not a hero, like The Flash. I am not full of light and love. But I am the complete opposite, I am the reverse of everything he is.” Eobard told you. “I am full of darkness and rage. And I wanted to kill The Flash, because I hate him for what he did. I hate him, so much, Y/N. I’ve spent my entire life devoted to ruining his. I even went as far as killing his mother just to make him suffer.”
You felt your stomach drop. Suddenly, everything had chanted for you.
The man who had taught you everything you knew about your speed, wasn’t a hero. He was a villain. The very thing you had been training to stop.
Eobard Thawne was a murderer. A super-villain.
Did that mean that everything he had ever taught you meant nothing now?
Does it mean everything has been a whole lie this entire time? Did he even care about you? You didn’t know.
Everything was a lie.
Everything you thought, and knew about Eobard was all a lie.
“No. No. No.” You shake your head. “No.” You felt as if your heart was being tucked at it. A tear slipped down your cheek.
“Y/N-“ Eobard began.
Feeling your breaths becoming more shaky, you stepped back, forcing Eobard to let go of your shoulders. “No! Stay away!” You gritted your teeth. “Stay away from me!”
Eobard Thawne frowned. He could see. The heartbreak and sadness, the feeling of betrayal in your eyes. It made him feel a pang of hurt in his chest. He never meant for this. He never meant to lie to you. He never wanted to.
Eobard had just spent so much time with her, that it made it hard for him to want to tell you.
He wanted you to be happy.
He wanted you to trust him, and to admire him the way you did. Not be afraid of him. Or hate him.
“Y/N, I am sorry for lying to you.” Eobard began. “I never meant to. I never wanted to. It’s just…” He shakes his head. “I didn’t want to hurt you or scare you. I wanted you to be happy.”
“You’re a monster! And a liar!” You shouted. You felt the tears escaping your eyes and down your cheeks.
You trusted him.
You trusted him.
Eobard Thawne was your mentor. Your friend. Someone you looked up to you and believed in. Someone that you found yourself telling things that you didn’t tell others.
And he lied to you. Deceived you.
“You abandoned me!” You felt this overwhelming feeling of anger and rage. “You lied to me! And now you only brought me here to make me do something awful, didn’t you?”
“No. No of course not.” Eobard reassured. “I would never make you do anything bad.”
You scoffed. “Why should I listen to you?” After all, you should just run. Run away, and never turn your back. Because that’s how you were feeling. You never wanted to see him again. You never wanted to speak to him again.
“Because I only want what’s best for you.” Eobard told you.
‘I only want what’s best for you.’
Words you had heard time and time again from him. Before, you always thought it was sweet that he was looking out for you. But how, they meant nothing.
Nothing.
“If that were true, you would have never brought yourself into my life!” You exclaimed. “You would have stayed away.”
Eobard Thawne expected this. He knew that you would hate him. Even be afraid of him for lying to you. He knew that since he had first met you.
It’s why he tried to cherish every moment he had with you.
Because he knew the day would come where he may never see you again.
“Y/N, I only wanted to help you.” Eobard said. When he first met you, you were a young speedster who hardly understood your powers. Spiraling out of control all of the time. Then one day, you met him. And you promised to teach you how to harness your abilities. Train you, help you reach your full potential.
And you did.
And he had never felt more proud knowing he was the one who helped you. He was the one who shaped you into the hero you were.
You had watched you grow in so many ways. And over time, he began feeling an overwhelming need to protect you. Which, wasn’t in his nature. To want to care for someone besides himself. But you… You had reached to his humanity. The part of him who could feel, and care.
Even…love.
You showed him what it was like to be a father. To have someone to care for.
Eobard knew he could never have a family of his own. Not with the things he had done, and the person he was. So, it meant a lot for him to get this chance with you.
“You lied to me! You talk of helping me, but all you’ve done is hurt me.” You croaked. “You took my trust! You betrayed me! You’re right. You are the villain.” You shake your head. “You will never be The Flash. You will always be the reverse.”
He knew that. He would always be the Flashes greatest enemy. But he never wanted him to become yours.
“And I know that.” Eobard said. He took a step towards you. “I’ve always know The Flash and I would be rivals. And I finally accepted it. Embraced it. But Y/N, I never wanted to be your enemy. I only wanted to be your teacher. Your friend.”
You began to hyperventilate. “No. No. You shut up! You shut up! I hate you! Do you hear me? I hate you!”
Those words reached his heart. Because he felt it ache.
“I know…” He nodded. “I know…”
“We’re done.” You told him. Done with everything. The lessons. The training. The friendship. Over. There was nothing he could say or do to fix this. Nothing. “Do you hear me? I’m going to leave and I never want to see you again.”
Eobard gave a sad nod. He could understand that. And what was he supposed to do? Argue. Because he knew it wasn’t a fight he would win.
But you knew what he could do?
Finally tell you how he felt. How you mattered to him.
“And I won’t argue with you.” Eobard replied. You had every right to want to him and he knew that. “I’m not going to fight you. I’m not going to hurt. You….you can go…and….and you never have to see me again.” He sighed, but tried to gather his words. “But Y/N, if you’re going to go then well…I suppose I should tell you, shouldn’t I?”
“Tell me what?” You hissed.
“Y/N… I care about you.” He told you. “I always have. Even if you may hate me or be afraid of me, you need to know that. I have always cared for you in many ways. You have always mattered to me.”
What was this?
More lies? More deception? In your heart, you knew you should go. Leave him behind.
But instead, you stayed. Not knowing why you wanted to listen.
“From the beginning I have always felt the responsibility to look after you, and protect you.” Eobard confessed. “And…and I just never expected this.” He huffed. “I never expected the opportunity to be proud of someone. To see someone grow in so many ways and become successful.”
What?
“Why are you telling me this, huh?” You stared at him. Rage in your eyes.
“Because if you’re going to go, you need to know that. That I am proud of how far you have come. How much you have grown.” Eobard slowly inched closer to. He placed his hands on the sides of your arms. Though, instead of flinching, you froze. Unable to bring yourself to move. “I am proud of you, Y/N. And…” He looked down at you. “You have given me the chance to know what it feels like to be a father. To love someone more than you can ever imagine. To raise someone knowing they’ll be better then you ever were and being okay with that.”
No. No.
You couldn’t be hearing this, right. This had to be a lie, right?
Was Eobard really saying he loved you like a daughter?
“N-No. P-Please. J-Just-G-Go.” You plead. “Please.” You felt your chest pounding and your heart aching.
“If you want me to go, then I will go.” Eobard said. “I care about you enough to want you to be happy. And if forgetting about me is what will make you happy. Then okay.” He nodded. “I won’t get in the way of your happiness.”
“Stop pretending t-to care.”
“I was never pretending.” Eobard said. Though, his tone. It had become…softer. He raised his hand, brushing a strand of hair out of your face.
Your eyes grew wide.
What was he doing? “What-“
“Goodbye, kid.” He said. A hint of sadness in his voice. And… It didn’t sound fake. It sounded, genuine. “I know you will be everything I wanted you to be. And you will be happy. Remember that.” He leaned forward, and gave your forehead a gentle kiss. Before pulling away from you.
In that moment, you felt like everything around you was spinning. And you seemed to make a realization.
He cared.
He cared…
Even through all of his lies and deception, he did care about you.
Eobard went to turn away, perhaps to leave as you had wanted him to. But, for some reason, you didn’t want him to leave you. Not again.
“Wait!”
Eobard looked to you, staring. Wondering what you could have possibly wanted. He figured you might leave now. To get as far away from him.
But in fact, it became quite the opposite.
“Please don’t leave me again.” You croaked. You didn’t why. Why you so desperately wanted him to stay. You should hate him. Fear him.
But now…you felt those emotions becoming buried deep inside of you.
And you only felt the need to be protected.
Eobard narrowed his eyes. You…you wanted him to stay?
If surely seemed like an illusion.
But from the way you weren’t running away, it had to be true hadn’t it? You wanted him to stay.
In a flash of lighting, you ran to him. Hugging him. So tightly, that you had almost knocked him over. But he was strong and could hold back.
Eobard, at first paused.
He was taken back by this.
Eobard looked down to you. The way you were clinging to him like he was the only thing that could keep you safe. It was familiar yet unfamiliar.
“S-Stay. P-Please.” You cried.
Eobard slowly felt himself sink into the hug. Of course he would stay. He wouldn’t ever think of abandoning you again. “Yes.” He whispered. “I promise, I won’t leave you this time.”
He meant that.
He would stay. He wouldn’t abandon you.
While he knew he wouldn’t give up on his quest to retrieve The Sphere of Destiny, there was one thing he knew for certain.
Right all, all he wanted to stay here with you. His friend. His student.
His daughter.

Off Work: Eobard Thawne X Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media
Prompt: Request, fluff with cuddles Pronouns: None Mentioned Physical Sex: None Mentioned Rating: G/Fluff, tooth rot Warnings: Eobard is a workaholic, Flash obsession Summary: The days when Eobard actually sleeps are perfect, just like this one. Author’s Remarks: Short, sweet, etc.
Some things to know about speedsters: they eat a lot, they will do everything fast if they’re not reminded to slow down, they get tired fast too. Eobard is no exception, particularly because he overworks himself whenever the Flash is involved in his plans. Sleep doesn’t come every day like it does for those who move at a normal speed. So when he ends up in bed around the same time as you it’s a treat.
His clothes can range from actual pajamas to casual houseware or a full suit to his speedster gear. It depends on the day. You're lucky enough today to find him in pajamas and buried into covers as fast asleep as anyone can be. His hair is messed and you can tell it’s from the Reverse Flash suit by the way it lays at the front. Said suit is compacted back into its ring, laying on the nightstand.
You join him, lifting the covers and intending to simply let him sleep on his own side, but he pulls you closer. His face buries itself into your back as his arms find their place around you. Slight mumbles come from him, something about the Flash and Central City. You make yourself comfortable and fall asleep yourself, much faster than you expect to.
Mornings after Eobard has actually slept are full of energy. He makes breakfast, most of it for him due to his calorie needs, but he saves your favorites for you. His work is put off in favor of keeping you close because his focus is in one place rather than the other. Most of that time is spent in bed, some of it is spent on the couch with the TV on and programmed away from anything superhero or villain related.
All days are good days, but these are your favorite.

**Please don’t forget to comment, like, and reblog. It means a lot to content creators of all kinds!
***I’d also like to thank @grimtamlain-writes for being my beta reader.
****Here’s a little fic to cheer us up in light of what’s unfolding in season 8. I’m still just watching the Eo clips so I’m just going to stick to my writing and nothing else because I simply do not know what to do with the current plot (?). I’m still on hiatus due to school, but this and a few completed drafts were just sitting around. I have one more chapter to finish for the Wells-Thawne family (that I’ve been procrastinating) but that section of four chapters will be released once i finish the forth chapter before getting started on the next chapter installment for the series.

MASTERLIST
“Well, don’t you look nice in red,” you whispered into the empty room, materializing from the shadows in a fit of darkness. You couldn’t help but eye the Scarlet Speedster in the Cortex. Eobard’s breath hitched as he abruptly twisted his head to the sound of your voice. His tensed shoulders relaxed. You sent him a little wave with wiggling fingers. You were perched on top of a side table, one leg over the other and that cheshire-like grin plastered on your face. Both your hands were pressed on the table, propping yourself up as you had no support for your back. “All noble and dignified in that suit. A true hero,” you continued to tease him. "Isn't that right, Flash?"
It was Eobard’s turn to smirk, his heart warming in his chest significantly at the sight of you. He ran a hand through his slightly mused hair as the speedster approached you. You uncrossed your legs while the ‘hero’ loomed over you. “You shouldn’t be here,” the genius murmured teasingly, already wrapping his arms around you gingerly and slotting himself between your legs. You snuggled into his arms, pressing your face into his chest and breathing him in. You shut your eyes as you savored this moment with him. “The others will get ideas, Shadow Weaver.” Eobard’s grip tightened around you, placing sweet kisses on top of your head. He could get drunk off your company alone; the idea that you came this far with him, for him, out of love had the speedster thoroughly smitten. It’s not like Eobard would ever grow tired of you or the adoration he saw behind the fire in your eyes. One day, I’ll take you far away and we can live the life we’ve dreamed off, my little bird.
Even though you saw Eobard two days ago, the situation had been different, drastically different. This whole plan still gnawed at you; he had killed Barry Allen as a child in this temporary reality all the while taking up Barry’s place as The Flash… and as Iris West’s fiancé. All of this in order to siphon off speed from the Speed Force until the time point is corrected and when Barry would show up, he would be unmistakably heartbroken with dread. You knew it was a charade and you understood Eobard’s intentions as well as having faith in him. But seeing her by his side always felt like a sharp knife to your gut, twisting and twisting, even though Eobard had made it blatantly clear that he would never touch Iris the way he touches you. He would never choose her because he had you. You were always his endgame.
“Let them,” you muttered, shifting back to meet his eyes dead on. You laid your hands against his firm chest. “We won’t be in this reality for much longer anyway.” We’re almost done here. I can hold out for a little longer.
Eobard’s eyes ran over you, a glint of worry in them as his tongue clicked at your bandaged arms. He couldn’t help himself, his fingers moved to hold them in his gloveless hands. Instinctively, your body flinched away slightly from his touch. Eobard furrowed his brows as something dark stirred in his soul. His eyes caught sight of the bandages peaking the collar of your shirt and his jaw set. With one hand, the speedster brushed your cheek with his knuckles. “How are you feeling?”
“Better, although I think you handled me a bit too roughly over in our last staged fight. I just have a mild headache and some pain here and there.”
“I’m sorry.” The speedster took your head and leaned down, gently kissing your injured limbs. Eobard noticed how your body tensed up under his touch. His thumb gently rubbed the edge of the wrapping. “I hadn’t calculated Iris breaching to the fight. I should have cut the comms before heading to the warehouse.” To his chagrin, Iris came to your ‘fight’ with the genius speedster and shot at you multiple times regardless of his warnings for her to stay back. Eobard couldn’t care less about her safety, but Iris was one of the keys to Reverse Flashpoint. You tried to not hurt the journalist with your powers, if only to get her to stop shooting at you to flee with your Shadow Step. The speedster let out a sigh before resting his forehead on your uninjured shoulder as another apology fell from his lips. “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you.”
“Hey, look at me,” you cupped the villain’s face in your hands, confidence bolstered your words. “I’m ok, I am more than capable of protecting myself even if you’re around. Was the situation less than tasteful? Yes, but I’m still in one piece. I’m still here and we’re seeing this through to the end so we can get back to you beating the living hell out of Barry and me watching from the sidelines with some popcorn.”
You planted a sweet kiss to his lips, one he returned sensually. “Just a few more days and we’ll be in a permanent timeline,” Eobard mused as he dipped his head a little, his mind already re-evaluated every course of action with Team Flash. They wouldn’t turn on him, not with how easily he has them ensnared in his script for the final act. “Barry showed up at the little ceremony.”
“I know, I was watching from the upstairs balcony.”
“Nothing slips past you, does it?”
“Not when you’re involved, my love,” you giggled as Eobard nuzzled into your neck, placing a few chaste kisses on your skin. You hugged him closer as electricity from the computers in the Cortex continued to hum. “I’ll be keeping Barry preoccupied the next few days. Put on a little show, have him second guess everything and teeter towards the edge.” I wonder what he’ll see the more he uses the Negative Speed Force.
“Such a clever little bird,” Eobard remarked smugly, kissing your lips  “Everything’s going just as planned, naturally. We took it all from him. All I need is for whatever speed is left of the Speed Force to sync with my body before converting to Negative Speed Force particles.” We’ll be evenly matched once more in a few days.
You couldn’t help but avert your gaze from your fiancé. Your mouth moved, articulating your thoughts. “...I’m still not happy about Iris being around you nearly 24/7.”
“I’m not exactly enthused about it either,” Eobard agreed, shaking his head to himself as your gaze locked back with his. There was always such sincerity in his eyes when he spoke to you. “Or the fact that you’ll be by Barry’s side when he chooses to attack. I want his world to shatter all around him just as he had done to me. Things aren’t what they seem in this… reversal of events, to him, but it’s everything that I’ve strung together with the pieces at my disposal. I want him to break before he realizes that Damian’s the key to changing the timeline permanently. Our game of chess is not over.”
You let out a little sigh, dancing your fingers over his shoulders before loosely locking your arms around his neck. Eobard kept his hands on your sides. “Just… promise me when we get back we’ll take some time away from here,” you commented, knowing that he can sense the exhaustion you were feeling from living in Reverse Flashpoint for so long with him in order for things to go his way.
“I was thinking about that earlier when I was sitting at the last meeting with the others. I know you’ve been wanting to tour the Maldives.”
“You remember that?” You simply cocked an eyebrow at his oddly specific suggestion.
“Yes, of course I remember,” the speedster responded softly.
“It’s just I talked about that when we were…” You trailed off, biting your lip and dropping your gaze. That was so long ago.
Your murder speedster husband cupped your face, bringing your eyes to meet his icy blue ones. Eobard knew exactly what you were thinking. “What?”
“I remember when the two of us were planning things out seven years ago. You’d take me back and… we’d have that small wedding and have our honeymoon traveling to multiple islands. We’d explore everything, it would just be us and the open sea.” The genius scientist remained silent as he heard the slight ache in your voice. Seven years had passed and the two of you hadn’t been any closer to doing the things the two of you had discussed. You continued, “I know to a speedster seven years isn’t much, but it seemed like a lifetime for me. I just really miss you…”
“I know.” I couldn’t be there with you for a majority of time. Trying to outrun being erased or being executed. We could have had it all if Allen had just saved his mother and allowed us to go to my time. All that time, wasted. Time… And for that, I swear on my life that I’ll make up for every second that passed us. “Come on,” Eobard reeled himself back before tugging one of your hands for you to jump off the table. Your body protested at the sudden movement, an ache running through your nervous system.
“Where are we going?”
“Out, we’re going to get some of your favorite sushi and snacks and stay up all night by the fire until the sun comes up.”
“Wait, what about your whole plan with Team Flash? And Iris?”
“That can all go to hell.”
“But Barry-”
“With Allen sulking around I have no more use for Team Flash and Iris at the moment,” the Wells doppelganger explained, his hand giving your hand a gentle squeeze as he looked down at you with a certain glint in his eyes. You saw the bits of longing and adoration behind those eyes as he looked at you solemnly. “I just want to spend some time with you before we run from this time point.”
***
“One hundred and thirty pieces of sushi at your service,” Eobard announced, striding into your bedroom with three large-sized party platters of various sushi stacked on top of one another. The speedster also bought you some gyoza, crab rangoons, and takoyaki. You couldn’t help the little gasp you made and the giddy smile on your face. You set your phone to the side and pressed out the spare, old towel from it’s creases. You were sitting cross-legged on your plush bed with multiple napkins positioned by the glass plates. Eobard could literally see sparkles in your eyes and he had to stop himself from chuckling at how cute you looked right now.
What can I say? I’m a simple girl, food makes me happy. Along with books and other things that I indulge greatly in. I am not ashamed to be honest. “You really know how to spoil a girl,” you felt your mouth watering as you opened up one container. You chopsticks were at the ready while your speedster genius got his plate and chopsticks. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for centuries.”
Did she just use my line?
The dark-haired man could only cock an ironic eyebrow at you as you started digging in .The two of you ate in comfortable silence, you were on your phone while Eobard was flipping through for either Criminal Minds or the Discovery Channel. Setting his plate down on his lap, Eobard glanced at you due to the different audios that he heard. “Are you on that stupid clock app again?”
“What? It’s entertaining, plus it helps pass the time.”
“As in ‘pass the time when you’re not around’. Right?”
You rolled your eyes at his accusation while trying to mock your voice. “I’m neither confirming nor denying that statement.”
“You don’t have to, that wicked smile of yours says it all,” the genius nudged you with his shoulder to which you nudged back. You couldn’t help but drop the serious demeanor you adorned to grin cheerily at Eobard. The speedster helped clean up, putting the sushi in smaller containers to fit in the fridge while you tidied up the room. A thought crossed your mind as Eobard re-entered the room and shut the door. You were already under the cool covers, freshened up for bed in your pajamas as your index finger played with your pillow case. In a torrent of gold lightning, Eobard was all done and making his way out of the bathroom to climb into bed with you. The speedster had his arms around your waist, hugging you close as he nudged his head to rest on your chest. You carded your fingers through his silky hair and took in little breaths through your nose. The dark-haired genius shut his eyes as he listened intently to your heart beat. Cuddling like this always calmed his chaotically racing mind. He's running his hands over your back, sending a shiver down your spine. Eobard planted a kiss on your collarbone, causing you to giggle quietly before clearing your throat. The whispered words at the back of your mind tugged at your heartstrings.
“Eo?”
“Hm?”
“I’m scared.”
“Of what?”
The genius speedster pull away to look at you with curious eyes, he can sense the small flickering flame of worry in you. “When we go back to this new ‘corrected’ timeline, I don’t want Barry to separate us again.”
“They won’t,” the speedster murmured, the pads of Eo’s finger’s rubbed little circles on your back, “I’ll be damned if they take you away from me.”
You couldn’t help but respond with a small nod, but there was that nagging feeling at the pit of your stomach. Something unsettled you as the engagement ring on your necklace felt heavier. Your eyes drifted to see that Eobard was wearing his engagement ring on a necklace around his neck too. Not the faux one he had given to Iris, no. Eobard had hand crafted your ring and his years ago, something you secretly wore under your tops and shirts through the years. “You sure this will work?”
“It will. It has to. I’ve... run out of fast options that doesn’t include a speed drug. Barry’s becoming more and more like his future self, but I can still see the same boy from seven years ago. Confused and hurt. His connection to his Speed Force has gotten stronger, I’m merely using that to my advantage in this temporary time point.”
“.... What if something goes wrong? Then what?”
“I’ll adapt, I always do.” I have to, I have to fulfill my destiny and I cannot do that without you.
“I don’t want you to die again, Eo,” you whispered, almost in a pleading tone, running your fingers through his dark hair.
“I won’t, they’d have to take my speed and you away to seal my fate. To take my life.” Eo shifted himself as you pressed your lips into a thin line. He cupped your face gingerly. “What? What’s that look for?”
“I’m thinking.”
“What’s that beautiful mind thinking of?”
Your thoughts were falling right out of your mouth, allowing for your insides to churn with the notions your mind was conjuring. “I’m wondering how would your body react if your speed was taken away. What kind of toll it would have if Barry somehow found a way to sever you from the Negative Speed Force permanently. Barry was weak six years ago when he gave his speed to Zolomon, but you... yours is different than his.
Eo sucked in a little breath, his mind reluctantly contemplating such an outcome. It was something he thought of from time to time, should Barry advance enough to commit to that path. Swallowing thickly, the villain responded, “I wouldn’t be able to move much. It would take my much much longer to heal compared to Barry. It... would be hard to breathe. My mind would still be intellectually fast due to being a natural genius, but...” I would be a hallow shell of a man. He trailed off, not wanting to finish or tempt the thought that that outcome would be what his life could resort to. Speedless and alone.
“You’re not allowed to die,” you gave him a hard kiss, emphasizing your words and cupping his face to look at you. “You hear me? You’re not allowed to leave me like last time. You’re not allowed to lose yourself, to lose your speed.”
“You’re not allowed to die either,” Eobard couldn’t help but smirk at the blossoming determination on your face, a cute little and unyielding frown. “You’re not allowed to leave my side. You’re not allowed to give up on us.”
Deep down something inside you still stirred, but with the way that Eobard looked at you. The adoration in his simple touches, it had you feeling a bit reassured. “I love you.”
“And I love you, my little songbird.”

Eowells x reader Nightcall Epilogue?
Hello, long time no see, I hope you at all doing good. I wanted to post this and say that it could be read as a stand alone but is in reality a continuation of nightcall. I hope you enjoy it and as per usual let me know what you think. This also felt like a safe space and piece to come back into writing after such an absence, I’m sorry and I hope you enjoy it.
Tumblr media
It’s been a little too long since the last time any resemblance of emotion other than hatred or pain has crossed his mind. A mind so broken over time in a race he knows he will never win no matter how much he tries to fool himself with the idea that he will. He won’t, deep down he knows this, he has prepared himself for the inevitable outcome, and yet here he is, knotting the robe that will ultimately hang him, he is a dead man walking and he knows it, its a fate he accepted even as he lives through it, playing all the chess pieces the way they are supposed to be played, even if he now knows what moves he could have done differently. Some days, when he is in the mood he likes to write them down, make a list if you will of how he could have prevented the tragedy, his ending.
1. Y/n.
Or so he tries to convince himself, trying to silence the voices of the dead that weight on what’s left of his mind. The past coming to haunt him once again through what’s left of him, telling him how he knows he would do it all over again and again and again, how he would relive every second of the agony and suffering those past few years have been for him, locked in a cell, with the constant reminder of his failure dancing through his vision. Is not like Allen has made it any easier to deal with, or Cisco for that matter, their hatred transformed into pity over the years just serves him to pick on the wounds that will never heal, living in a constant state of rawness.
He tries every night to forget, to close his eyes and pretend he doesn’t see you, he doesn’t see the ghost of you looking back at him, your eyes void of life, he swears he can smell the blood, that he can feel his body burning from the speed, the adrenaline coursing through his veins, the weight of your body as he held it, still warm, still there, your eyes still open but no life left in them.
It’s been 10 years, ten long painful years and he can still recall every damn second of that night, every moment, every mistake. The aftermath of a war that you had no business fighting, a war that belonged to him.
He remembers those first few years, when he would close his eyes almost nightly, revisiting a memory of you he had carved in his heart, the only place he had ever truly found solace, a place he no longer visited. As the years went by he visited it less and less, the solace became torture, a face he knew so well distorting into nothingness, and the more he went the less he could remember you, a final punishment for his soul, to not be able to remember what you looked like, and in the fear of never been able to see you again he opted to close that door, throw the key so far into his mind not even in death would he find it again. Or so he thought.
He doesn’t remember falling asleep, but he wakes up with a strange feeling to his chest, he can’t place his finger on what it is, maybe anxiousness or tranquility, they sometimes feel so similar is hard to distinguish them. He notices how the bed feels, too soft to be the one on his cell and when he rubs his face against the pillow he feels it, that perfume that haunted his every breathing moment, the scent of live itself. Your scent hits him so unexpectedly his eyes threaten to water, his heart flutters so harshly it hurts, and when he finally snaps out of it and lifts his head he notices where he is. His house, the one he shared with you for such a briefly period of time but a time where he can’t even remember what it was like before you even came along, as if it had always been yours and he was just the guest.
“ I didn’t hear you waking up, I would have come back to bed sooner.” His eyes water this time and his heart threatens to kill him, he doesn’t understand anything, he doesn’t understand how you are here, smiling at him, looking at him with that sparkle in your eyes as you climb over the bed to him, wearing one of his white shirts you loved so much.
His silence is so intense, his eyes so sharp on you he can see the change in your expression, the worry taking over at his quietness. Before you can ask him what’s wrong his hand is already caressing your cheek, his fingers digging in your skin, near your hair as he grabs onto you and pulls himself up to sit up, his arms wrapping themselves over your form, his face burying in your hair. He feels your hand on his bare back, caressing it as you try to free your head of his hold to look up at him, wondering with your eyes what’s gotten into him.
“ I have missed you so much.’’ He says, not caring for a second how odd or out of place it could feel for you.
“ I have been here all the time, i didn’t go anywhere.’’ Your voice resonates through his mind, bouncing around every part of his brain.
‘’ No…”
“No?’’ You interrupt him before he can continue.
He realizes this must be a dream, a cruel dream he will wake up from, he will wake up back in the cell, such a cruelty of fate to tease him like this. Hasn’t he given enough? Hasn’t he suffered enough? Paid the price of his mistakes yet he is living the worst of the punishment again, having you with him once again to be taken from him at any moment, at any point without a previous warning.
No. No, he is a logical man he knows what a dream is, he knows this is not one. He tries to pull himself together, to breathe, to feel, to think. He moves his hand and looks at his watch, it reads Saturday November 5 on the little date window. It hasn’t happened, nothing has happened.
“Eobard’’ your voice brings him back, your eyes look at him so fiercely, so determine, making the next few words that come out of your mouth all the more shocking.
“You did it, its all fine now.” And he has to wonder for a moment, it’s this death or paradise?

Writing my Eobard/Eowells fic in second person POV feels weird since I wrote it in third person all those years ago. And the OC was called Nina and I miss that name. So yeah, I deleted the first part of the story “Of reverse love and stuff” to rewrite it. I'll repost it later.

Yandere Jason Todd x speedster male reader x Yandere Dick Grayson
Part 2
Headcanons
Tumblr media
Imagine sitting in a spinny chair petting a cat like a bond villain. I have wanted to write a part two for this for a while. Instead of reader just dating his og universes version of them, what if reader was dating multiple people 👀? Cuz you cant imagine the kid of Thawne being a nice person.
Ill refer to readers original universe as OG verse, and the yandere universe as yan verse cuz its easier to understand.
Part 1 can be found here
In part 1 yan Dick and Jason has pretty much abandoned their former dimension in smithereens after having wiped out the entire justice league, as they tried to stop them from crossing dimensions and tearing a hole in reality itself to find you.
So, when Yan Dick and Jason appear in your OG dimension, different procedures set up by the league notify them about the tear in reality and how unstable it is. They’d rush there and find two bloody and battered versions of Dick and Jason, and thinking they fled some battle or a doomed timeline, they bring them to the tower.
When Jason and Dick wake up, they immediately fall back on the many tricks they had been taught under their batman, who was apparently even better at lying than OG batman, as they believe them when they claim their home dimension was destroyed and they have nowhere to go.
It takes a while to work Yan Dick and Jason into the league and their hero roster, but they never suspect them of being anything less than heroes and stable. They start calling them Rick and Jay since it gets confusing with multiple people named the same thing.
They don’t drop hints that they know you, but they do try to figure out where you are and what you are doing at all times, but its harder than they thought it would be. Who would have thought trying to track a guy that can cross dimensions and time at will would be so difficult.
Rick almost bursts a blood vessel when he hears some of the younger OG league members talking about how “Mach 10 has been dating multiple people at once”, and Jay wants to curl up into a ball and disappear and tear himself apart.
Their obsession finally starts showing through the cracks as they use league resources to find you and stalk you. More and more cracks appear in their masks and fake personalities, as they see you going on dates with other people.
Jericho, Jamie Reyes, Roy Harper, Garth, Kyle Rayner, the list went on. You seemed to be dating multiple people at once, at the same time, as you used your powers to be in multiple places at once.
You weren’t a good person, so you hadn’t even felt bad when Jamie had cried finding out you were cheating on him with multiple people, you just shrugged and asked him what he had expected from Thawnes offspring.
It was common knowledge amongst the younger league members that you were down to a roll in the sheets with most, but there wasn’t a loyal bone in your body, and you could easily turn on whoever you were dating at the time if it was part of a plan.
Of course. Rick and Jay never saw you as the problem. How could you be? You were perfect, you were everything that mattered in the multiverse, and you could do no wrong. It had to be your partners that were the issue, they had to be neglecting your needs and leaving you having to resort to finding different ways to meet them.
OG justice league knew Rick and Jay had some issues, but they had always blamed it on coming from a dimension that had been destroyed by some unknown evil. But as time passed, they started to think that maybe the backstory they had been given wasn’t true.
It came to a head when one day Rick almost gutted Roy after he and Jay had followed you around Coast city, where you had met up with Roy and the two of you had gone on a date, ending with you two back in Roy’s apartment.
Rick and Jay were both cracking as they saw others put their grubby disgusting hands all over you and just doing whatever they wanted. Whenever they heard others insult you, they felt like repeating what they had done in their original universe.
After Rick attacked Roy, he was placed on probation. Jay was more subtle about his plans, as he wasn’t as blinded by rage as Rick and was more fueled by not feeling like he was good enough and blaming himself.
People didn’t even put two and two together for a while when your non league admirers started going missing, only to be found much later dead in many different ways. There was no way to tie the murders together, but it was clear there was a pattern, but no one could figure out what it was.
The league finally discovered just what type of people Jay and Rick were when you one day wandered into the tower. Maybe the league needed your help with something involving the speedforce, or the negative speedforce.
But the moment the two yanderes saw you, it was like they became completely different people, the masks they had been wearing for months shattered as they almost stumbled over each other to get to you first.
You just saw in your seat grinning to yourself as they clambered into your lap, vile threats of what he could do to anyone who touched to passing Ricks lips, as Jay warbled out apologies and begs for you to love him and appreciate him.
The league wasn’t sure what to do, but their suspicions only grew. It got to the point where they somehow track down the dimension the Yans originally come from, to see what really happened. Imagine their horror when they learn Rick and Jay killed all of them out of obsession fueled love for you.
But when they finally figured out the truth, Rick and Jay fully dropped their roles and started chasing you around like lovesick puppies again, butchering anyone who got in their way.
The league could lock them up, but they had also seen what happened when they were separated from you, and as long as they were around you and an had no reason to lash out, they seemed fine for the most part.
You had moments where you would peace out to different dimensions, especially when Rick and Jay started foiling all your attempts to mess around with other people, Rick always exploding in rage and Jay breaking down in tears and wails of misery.
Again, you were never a good person, and they annoyed you sometimes, but it was kinda cute to have them begging for scraps of your attention even as the league tried again and again to capture them and lock them away.
Rick and Jay never find a way to lock you away, you are just too powerful. But they at some point stumble across ways to make themselves stronger so they can keep up. Like making themselves speedsters, or developing gear to follow and track you, they come up with something.
But you learn an easy way to distract them is by piling attention on them for a while, get them comfortable, then you can peace out when they get on your nerves.
Jay is always easier to trick than Rick, as Jay is always aching for any tiny piece of attention and love youll give him, his knees always buckling when you kiss him or hold him, words almost akin to worship always tumbling out from between his lips towards you.
Rick is harder to trick, as hes always suspicious and angry, but an easy way is to dominate him in some way, like tying him up and then leaving him there, leaving him to get out on his own, or get help from Jay if he needs it.
All in all, the league is scared and cautious, but knows they wont be an active threat to the league as long as they have you. And your relationship with your yanderes is nowhere near healthy, with you only loving them like someone would love a pet or a toy, and them loving you way too much.
But what can someone expect from the offspring of Thawne, and two extremely unstable Bats.

More Than He Bargained For Part 8
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Final Part
A/N: I know I said I would post more often but I decided it was becoming a lot if I kept posting in little sections so I decided to make them a loooot longer just to move things along.
Warnings: Violence, blood mentions, injury, mild language
-----------
Eobard took a swig of water, trying to quell the anger, annoyance, and exhaustion that threatened to overwhelm him. The Earth-X situation was proving to be more of a headache than he had anticipated. The lack of patience and impulsiveness from his team was becoming a hindrance, but they were his only shot at a happy ending.
A happy ending where Barry was dead, and Eobard had you by his side. The thought brought a twisted smile to his lips, but it was short-lived as a loud beeping interrupted his thoughts.
"He's gone," the Dark Arrow announced, and Eobard tensed.
"Who? Merlyn?" he asked, unable to hide the contempt in his voice.
"The biosensor in his suit indicates his heart stopped," the Dark Arrow replied evenly, and Eobard felt a sense of resignation wash over him.
Merlyn was never strong enough to handle anything, so his demise was no surprise.
Get over it.
"He always seemed too soft to me," Eobard remarked, hoping to move past the topic and focus on the task at hand.
The room fell silent, and for a moment, Eobard thought they had moved on, but of course it was too much to hope for as the Dark Arrow spoke again.
"He died for you," he said to Overgirl with a solemn tone.
Here we go with this.
Eobard felt a wave of disgust wash over him. Merlyn's death meant nothing to him, and he couldn't understand why it would matter to anyone else.
"We will make his death worthwhile," the Dark Arrow stated with a sense of determination.
How stupid.
"That doesn't change the fact that now we're down a man," he repeated, trying to refocus the conversation on the task at hand.
Dark Arrow gave him a withering glare, clearly annoyed at the lack of respect coming from Eobard. "Keep your focus where it belongs and GET to work on locating that prism!" he growled through gritted teeth.
Oh have I hit a soft spot?
Eobard couldn't help but smile at the opportunity for confrontation. He relished the thought of punching Dark Arrow's ridiculous face. "Watch your tone," he warned, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "Or I'll watch it for you."
Dark Arrow's anger boiled over, and he stepped forward, shoving Eobard roughly against a pillar. Eobard couldn't help but grin in satisfaction, knowing that he had hit a nerve.
This was going to be good.
"Oliver!" Overgirl called out trying to diffuse the situation, but he ignored her, focused solely on Eobard. "Did you just tell me to watch my tone?" he snarled, his eyes flashing with rage.
Eobard met his gaze without fear, his wicked smile never leaving his face. "You're angry," he said in a low voice, goading him. "And I like it."
Dark Arrow pushed him further into the pillar, his fury barely contained. "Don't you mock me!" he spat.
Eobard merely chuckled. "Then do not threaten me," he taunted. "Or have you forgotten?" He vibrated his hand menacingly. "I can end your life before you even birth your next thought."
Both men stared angrily at each other waiting for the other to move when Overgirl showed up next to them.
"Try it once," "Kara" threatened, "and I break every bone in your body."
Eobard felt his hand get crushed by Overgirl and "Oliver's" arrow was uncomfortably close to his neck.
Okay maybe not the best idea.
He rolled his eyes, "Ok, we're all a little emotional. Here what I suggest," as said feeling the arrow coming closer to his throat, "I will stop vibrating my hand," he looked at "Kara", "You will stop breaking my wrist, and you," he said exasperatedly to "Oliver", "will be 10% less brooding."
"Oliver" backed away and let his arrow fall on the floor with a clang and only then did "Kara" let go of his hand.
"We accomplish nothing by arguing," Kara stated.
Eobard was annoyed again. "It's the accomplishing nothing that has me concerned." He paused taking an annoyed breath, raising his voice, "We came here to conquer this Earth, or have you forgotten?"
"Oliver" stepped in. "Locate the prism," he paused as he saw Eobard's murderous look, "please."
That's what I thought.
"Once we have identified the location of the target I will devise a plan of attack.”
Eobard was finally in agreement as he walked out.
Time to get the party started.

Harry sighed, his mind heavy with thoughts of the recent encounter with you. The memory of catching you flustered replayed in his mind, intensifying the beat of his heart. Seeking a distraction, he had joined Caitlin and Jax in their work lab, hoping to shift his focus to tracking down the Nazis.
Pushing up his glasses, Harry's attention was brought back to the tool he was tinkering with as Jax shared some information. "Felicity's got her friend working on Palmer Technology's spectrometry satellites," Jax said, breaking the silence.
Why don't we just use-
Caitlin finished Harry's thought. "Okay, but what about the Waverider? I mean, a time-traveling ship must have some sort of tracking technology we can use," she suggested, her voice tinged with a hint of hope.
Harry nodded in agreement. "It would help us locate these bastards a lot faster," he remarked, his determination evident in his voice.
Jax interjected, his expression perplexed. "Well, not exactly. It's in the, uh, Stone Age," he explained, scrunching up his face.
The confusion was mirrored on both Caitlin and Harry's faces. "It's literally in the Stone Age." Jax clarified, prompting Harry to let out a frustrated sigh.
Caitlin's disappointment was visible as she spoke, "Okay, well, parallel Earth jumping is kind of Cisco's specialty," her voice trailed off.
"Unfortunately, he's too busy being unconscious right now," Harry replied gruffly, his frustration seeping into his words. "I guess we're on our own.”
Just then, Professor Stein entered the lab, and Jax's face lit up. "Oh, perfect timing, man. We're trying to find the guys from Earth-X, but we're coming up with nothing," Jax shared, hoping for a breakthrough.
However, Professor Stein's expression revealed a hint of sadness as he glanced at Caitlin and Harry. "I'm sorry, could you excuse us a moment?" he requested, his tone conveying a need for privacy.
Caught in the intrigue of the unfolding situation, Harry exchanged a curious glance with Jax before focusing his attention on the professor. Something was about to transpire, and Harry couldn't help but smile curiously.
Carelessly tossing his tool aside, he remarked, "Happily. We don't want to interrupt whatever... awkward, awkward thing-," he said with an amused expression.
Caitlin, rolling her eyes in annoyance, her voice laced with exasperation. "Come on, Harry, it's not about you," she scolded, as she dragged him away from the unfolding conversation.
Yet, Harry's curiosity lingered. "-that is," he continued, his voice trailing off as Caitlin pulled him away.

One sheep, two sheep, three sheep...
Sitting in the cortex with Iris, you spun in the chair as Felicity frantically tried to uncover the Nazis' hiding place. Frustrated, Iris blew out a breath and questioned, "How long until you brainiacs find these Nazis?"
Felicity, visibly exasperated and annoyed, let out a sigh. "My answer hasn't changed in the two minutes since you last asked me."
You and Iris exchanged a concerned glance, sensing something was bothering Felicity. Iris quickly apologized, sitting up straighter in her chair.
Noticing the impact of her own tone, Felicity sighed and admitted, "I'm sorry. I'm dealing with some Oliver stuff," she paused, "not 'Nazis ruined the happiest day of our life' stuff, but... stuff."
You approached Felicity, sensing her distress. Memories of your earlier conversation this morning flooded back.
"Stuff. Like you're unsure about marrying him?" you asked gently, drawing closer to Felicity.
"I thought you guys said you were good?" Iris chimed in, scooting her chair closer to Felicity.
Felicity glanced at you, her eyes reflecting the vulnerability within.
"What if I lose him? I couldn't bear it. I love him too much."
You remembered your heart-to-heart talk earlier, and instinctively spoke up for her, saying, "You don't want to jeopardize the happiness you've fought so hard to build."
Felicity nodded, tears welling up. "We're just as good as we were the last time we got engaged and I got shot. That was the beginning of the end for us."
Iris let out a sigh, struggling to fully comprehend Felicity's situation, because her own relationship with Barry seemed so perfect and secure. You, on the other hand, painfully understood the complexity of Felicity's emotions, as you longed for the same sense of security with Eobard, free from worries about him or the constraints of time that seemingly never escaped you.
"I don't want to tempt fate again," Felicity's voice cracked, "you know?"
Both you and Iris enveloped Felicity in a comforting hug. In that moment, a beeping sound emerged from the computer, drawing your attention. Huddling around the screen, you asked, puzzled, "A break-in at Dayton Optical Systems?"
Iris, seemingly weary, suggested, "I know this may sound terrible, but maybe we should let the police handle it. We need our team focused on the Nazis."
Casting her a sideways glance, you couldn't help but disagree. At this point, anything could be connected to the unwelcome visitors from Earth-X
Felicity pulled up security footage and looked up, her gaze intense. "This is the Nazis."
Sighing, you swiftly began pressing buttons on the computer. "We need to inform the others. Now."
-----------------
Eobard observed with amusement as Barry walked toward Dayton Optical Systems, reveling in the sight of his confusion and apparent stupidity in trying to piece together the puzzle.
What a moron.
"Why are the Earth-Xers targeting this place?" Barry asked Arrow and Supergirl, unaware of Eobard, Dark Arrow, and Overgirl emerging from the shadows. They stood in front of them, nodding evilly.
"Because," came Dark Arrow's distorted voice, "they had something we need."
Eobard smirked as he carried the box and stood across from the Flash, slowly setting it down. Despite being mere feet away, Barry still couldn't figure out his true identity. How stupid was he? Even with his phasing abilities, was Flash really that pathetic in not being able to recognize him?
"Whatever you stole," Arrow started menacingly.
"We're gonna need it back," Barry finished, determination in his voice.
We're gonna need it back. Eobard snorted at the Flash and his pathetic group of do-gooders.
"Your confidence is predictable," Dark Arrow said, clearly amused.
I'll say.
"You've faced some of the greatest evils known to man," Dark Arrow continued, "and you've defeated them. But if you think so highly of yourselves, that you can defeat any threat that comes your way..."
There was a delicious pause as they removed their intricate gas masks, revealing themselves to Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl.
"How do you feel about us?" Dark Arrow said to his doppelgänger, wearing an evil smirk.
To say they were shocked was an understatement. Eobard relished in the stupid look of confusion on Flash's face as he glanced uncertainly at his partners.
Arrow spoke first, his disgust evident. "This is sick."
"Do you mean looking at your reflection and seeing only weakness? I agree," Dark Arrow responded.
"Thawne?" Flash said, attempting to sound unfazed, but Eobard knew the anger boiled inside him.
"Direct from Earth-1," Eobard answered with glee. "Do you like my face?" He gestured, "I was told this was much handsomer than that stupid face of Harrison Wells."
"You're demented," Flash seethed. "I watched you die."
Eobard shook his head and laughed. "Or did you? It's time travel, Barry. So very confusing. I always seem to be saying that to you, don't I?"
It was a hypocritical statement, really. Time travel was the very thing that had brought him to you, that had saved you. Why couldn't you understand that? Everything he did was for you. But he always seemed to mess it up, unable to be careful. You made him forget everything else. But that would change. He just needed to settle things with Flash first.
"Last chance," Green Arrow growled, bringing him back to the present. "Go. Home."
"And stay there," Kara said, her tone cold and resolute.
"All of you," Barry added, his expression hardened as he stared at Eobard.
Eobard smirked at him before putting his cowl back on, fully focused on going after Barry.
Oh no, Barry. Not this time.
Unfortunately, his moment of enjoyment was cut short when Overgirl was struck by a kryptonite arrow. Dark Arrow rushed to her side and yelled at Eobard, "Get the prism out of here now!"
He paused, throwing them a look. He knew the stupid man's love would get in the way. And for a brief moment, he saw you in his arms instead of Overgirl, causing him to freeze before shaking his head to clear the distraction.
He couldn't lose his focus. Not now.
---------------------
"No! Eddie! Oh my..." You heard Iris wail, her voice filled with anguish and despair, as she ran out of the cortex. Without a second thought, you chased after her, your heart pounding in your chest. What had just happened? The world around you felt hazy and disorienting as you reached Iris, who was cradling Eddie's lifeless body, tears streaming down her face. Joe, visibly shaken, repeated in disbelief, "Eddie, what did you do? What did you do?"
A heavy silence hung in the air as you locked eyes with the Reverse Flash, Eobard, the love of your life. Anger surged through your veins, a tempest of emotions ready to be unleashed. You wanted to scream at him, to slap him, to blame him for all of this.
Barry stood nearby, a mix of confusion and shock etched on his face. His voice trembled as he asked, barely able to catch his breath, "What's happening?"
"Cisco, help me," came Eobard's distorted voice, a sickening feeling spreading within you. Deep down, you already knew the truth, the devastating reality that was unfolding before your eyes.
Cisco's voice broke through the tension, his words heavy with realization. "Eddie is his ancestor. If Eddie dies, he'll never be born, and..." His voice trailed off as the weight of the situation settled in.
"He's being erased from the timeline," you whispered, tears welling up in your eyes. The man who professed his love to you was being wiped from existence. You looked at Eobard, a mixture of sadness and disbelief in your gaze.
Why?
Why wasn't I enough?
Eobard locked eyes with you, tears glistening in your eyes as they spilled down your cheeks. The depth of his remorse was evident in his face. He desperately tried to reach out to you, but he was met your tear-filled eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice filled with regret and sorrow. The transformation on his face from Wells' features to the one you had fallen in love with only intensified your pain. "I'm so sorry."
Your legs gave way beneath you, and you collapsed to your knees, the sound of Iris screaming Eddie's name echoing in your ears.
Eddie was gone.
Eobard watched your trembling form, consumed by sobs, unable to face him, and something within him shattered. He had never wanted to inflict such heartache upon you. He realized he was the cause of your pain, your suffering. It was a burden he could never forgive himself for carrying.
Turning his gaze toward Barry, who was still in a state of shock, Eobard's eyes filled with a burning intensity. Barry would pay for this. He would pay for this irreparable pain that he had caused. Eobard vowed to find a way back, a path to end Barry's life and find a way back to you.
But for now, he would leave haunting parting words. "I've controlled your life for so long, Barry. How will you get along without me?"
------------------
Your head throbbed with a pulsating ache, each beat echoing the chaos that had consumed your life. Nazis, doppelgängers, the unsettling sight of Kara and Oliver united in marriage on Earth-X, kryptonite arrows, the looming threat of neutron bombs... It was an overwhelming torrent of events that battered your senses relentlessly.
Make it stop.
Please, make it all stop.
Amidst the chaos, Harry attempted to explain the mind-boggling vastness of the multiverse to Alex. His voice carried a weight of solemnity as he delved into the intricate web of parallel worlds and the existence of countless doppelgängers.
"There are 53 Karas out there, just as there are 53 Kryptons and 53 Earths," Harry explained, his words hanging in the air like an enigmatic puzzle waiting to be solved.
Weary and drained, you glanced up at Harry, and in that moment, your eyes met his. His comforting smile offered a flicker of comfort. He could see the fatigue etched on your face, the weariness that clung to you.
"The Thawne from our Earth is working with them," Barry said, frustrated.
Time froze, and your gaze locked onto Harry hoping that it was all a terrible misunderstanding.
No. He wouldn't... would he?
But deep down, a gnawing sense of dread whispered the truth to your heart.
You turned towards Harry, your eyes filled with a mix of desperation and disbelief. The weight of the revelation threatened to suffocate you as you heard Harry's voice. "Well, he's an idiot."
It was too much to bear, the betrayal cutting deep into your soul. Excusing yourself from the conversation, you rose from your seat. Harry instinctively moved to follow, concern etched on his face, but you shook your head, silently telling him you needed time alone.
You walked up the stairs, your footsteps heavy with the weight of confusion and frustration, until you reached the rooftop of Star Labs. The sprawling city lay below, its lights flickering like distant stars in the night sky.
Why did this have to be so complicated?
It felt like every twist and turn led to an even more twisted mess. And of all the things that could have happened, Eobard had gone and joined the freaking Nazis. Just when you thought Eobard wouldn't dare, he proved you wrong.
Leaning against the ledge, you let out a weary sigh, the sound mingling with the city's distant hum. The cool breeze caressed your face, offering a brief respite from the chaos that had consumed your thoughts. You knew that there was only one way to get answers.
And you hoped it would work.
--------------------
"Will it work?"
Eobard sighed, feeling a mix of annoyance and superiority. It was a familiar sensation, as if he were constantly surrounded by people who underestimated his intellect.
"It will, with a few adjustments and a significant power source," he replied, his tone laced with a touch of arrogance.
Overgirl stood beside him, radiating confidence and pride as she said, "My husband's on his way to handle that as we speak."
Eobard paused his tinkering with the prism, casting a quick glance at Overgirl. "Your husband has a choice to make," he warned, irritation creeping into his voice.
Overgirl let out an exasperated sigh, knowing exactly where this conversation was heading. "Me or the Reich?" she responded, her confidence unshaken.
"That's right," Eobard retorted, a hint of annoyance evident in his tone. He pointed a finger towards her, his frustration mounting. "Because we have two goals, and my worry is if we can't accomplish both, he's going to choose you," he emphasized, "over a second Earth flying under our banner."
Overgirl shook her head defiantly, her confidence unwavering. "Oliver will not abandon our mission," she declared firmly.
Oh please.
Eobard rolled his eyes, his irritation growing. "I've seen this before. In 1945, Hitler and his men were equally short-sighted," he retorted, his voice laced with annoyance.
"Hitler was driven by passion and childish need. Oliver," Overgirl's voice dripped with disgust, "is twice the man Hitler ever was."
I could just strangle her.
The sheer absurdity of the comparison made Eobard want to scoff. "Not when he's blinded by his love for you," he shot back, slamming his fist on the table in frustration.
A heavy silence filled the room as Overgirl finally realized the truth in Eobard's words. The weight of the situation settled upon her.
"If it comes to Oliver choosing between me and the Reich," she said, her voice determined and resolute, "I'll make sure he chooses the Fatherland."
Eobard couldn't help but roll his eyes again, finding her declaration somewhat delusional. "How?" he challenged, his tone skeptical.
"If it comes to it," Overgirl replied defiantly, her resolve unwavering, "by taking the choice out of his hands."
Eobard watched her as she left the room, grateful for the silence accompanied by her departure. However, the silence was short-lived, as his watch suddenly beeped frantically. With a frown etched on his face, he glanced down at it and he could have sworn his heart stopped as he harshly threw the prism onto the table and swiftly made his way out of the room, running towards Star Labs.

^^^Flashback^^^
Oh my head...
Intense pain throbbed through your head, causing you to instinctively clutch your temples. The searing agony made it difficult to focus, but a chilling voice cut through the haze, jolting you awake from your disoriented state. The realization hit you like a bolt of lightning—you were bound to a chair, trapped.
"Where am I?" you mustered the courage to ask, futilely struggling against your restraints.
The voice, dripping with malevolence, responded with a sinister laugh. "Don't concern yourself with your location, my dear. You're the bait in my grand scheme."
"Release me!" you screamed, desperation and fear coursing through your veins.
Before you could comprehend what was happening, a forceful blow struck your face, silencing your pleas. The taste of blood tainted your mouth, leaving you dizzy and disoriented. Glimpsing a shadowy figure ready to strike again, you braced yourself for the impending pain. However, in an instant, a rush of wind and a streak of lightning disrupted the scene, heralding the arrival of an unexpected savior.
"You've made a profoundly foolish choice," reverberated the distorted voice of the Reverse Flash, his presence commanding.
"Who... who are you?" your captor stuttered, consumed by fear.
"Death," the Reverse Flash declared with a chilling finality, before the dark room flashed with another streak of lightning. The room fell silent, and he approached you, delicately touching your injured face, causing you to wince in pain. As he surveyed your injured state, his gaze flickered with a mix of frustration and concern. Every line etched on his face betrayed the worry he felt within, the furrowed brows and clenched jaw giving away how he felt. Intense fury and worry coursed through Eobard's veins, the sight of you, bound and defenseless, ignited a burning anger within him.
"Did you... kill him?" you whispered, your voice laced with a mix of apprehension and relief.
Eobard scoffed in response, his annoyance palpable. "You could have lost your life, and you're concerned about his well-being?"
A defiant glare met his exasperated expression, silently demanding an answer.
With a resigned sigh, Eobard admitted, "No."
As you stood beside the motionless body of your captor, you realized something. No one had known where you were.
You turned to him, a mixture of curiosity and disbelief on your face. "How did you know I was here?"
Eobard's gaze drifted to the chain that held your ring, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and affection. "How else could I know that you were safe?"
A mixture of incredulity and amusement washed over you. "Seriously? That's how you track me?"
He sighed, a tinge of annoyance still lingering. "Thank you, Eobard, for saving my life," he said, imitating you. "Oh, you're welcome, darling," he replied, feigning annoyance.
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips. "Thank you, Eobard, for rescuing me. I love you, you dork."
His lips curled into a genuine smile, his eyes reflecting the depth of his emotions. "I love you too."

------------
It's interesting how slow time seems to move...
Especially when you falling.
Falling off a very very tall building to be precise.
The rush of wind whipped against your face, mingling with the bitter taste of regret that clung to your tongue. Panic tightened its grip around your heart as you peered downward, witnessing the ground drawing nearer with a terrifying certainty.
Dread swelled within you.
Maybe this wasn't the best idea...
As the ground loomed closer, your fear erupted into a frenzied scream, a desperate plea for salvation. And then, in a bewildering instant, you felt a sudden jolt, a force wrapping around you, pulling you back the threat of the hard cement floor. The world snapped back into focus as you found yourself once again on the safety of the balcony, gasping for breath, your heart pounding in your chest.
Eobard, stood before you, his cowl removed, a mixture of concern and confusion etched upon his face. A tremor of vulnerability ran through his touch as his finger grazed your cheek, his worry visible. But the proximity between you felt suffocating, and you pushed him away angrily.
"You're working with the freaking Nazis?" The words exploded from your lips, fueled by a righteous anger that surged within you. The accusation flew like venom, the incredulity in your voice reverberated through the air.
Eobard was left dumbfounded, struggling to comprehend the whirlwind of events that had just happened. "Did you really just throw yourself off the roof to ask me that?" he incredulously questioned, his disbelief barely concealed.
"You're unbelievable," you felt anger surging through your body, your voice crescendoing with every word, "Unbelievable!"
Eobard's composure shattered, his own emotions surging forth in a torrent of words. "I'm unbelievable? Really?" he shot back, his voice rising in intensity. "I have given up everything for you, for our happiness," he declared, his voice tinged with a mixture of defiance and hurt. "And you're unhappy?"
The dam of pent-up emotions burst forth as you both unleashed, the air crackling with the force of your heated exchange. "Bullshit, Eobard," you retorted, your voice trembling with a mix of anger and vulnerability. "Everything you have ever done is for yourself. That's all you do—think about yourself!"
"I'm never the priority. I'm never enough for you," you cried out, the words raw. "I'm sick of sacrificing my own happiness, constantly playing second fiddle to your inability to confront your past and be with me in the present. It's time for you to man up and let go of this foolish fixation on Barry and time!"
There was silence as you both looked at each other.
"I'm sor-" Eobard tried to reach for your hand but you pushed him away.
"Sorry?" you spat, your voice laced with frustration. "I'm sick of hearing that. Every. Single. Time. I'm done, Eobard."
Panic seized Eobard's gaze, his eyes widening with disbelief as the weight of your words settled upon him. "What?" he uttered softly, his voice tinged with a mix of desperation and disbelief.
"I'm done," you repeated, your voice breaking. With a swift motion, you tore the necklace from your neck, the ring glinting in the air before throwing it at him. "Get out."
His protests faltered as he met your gaze, your eyes brimming with a blend of sorrow, pain, and regret. In that moment, the reality of what he had caused sunk in, the shattered fragments of your heart that he had caused.
As tears cascaded down your cheeks, you quietly said again, “Get out,” but this time with a brokenness lacing your voice.
Eobard sighed, his resolve crumbling. He approached you one last time, pressing a bittersweet kiss upon your lips, a final farewell. There was a sudden noise coming from below. You recognized it as the emergency alarm. You glanced up at Eobard and saw that his eyes were filled with sadness.
"I have to go," he said softly, "Go hide. Stay safe."
And with a surge of speed, he vanished, leaving you behind, broken and alone. You wiped your tears away, knowing that you had bigger worries now.
As you came back down you saw men with masks and swastikas on their sleeves walking to the containment area of the lab. Further away you saw Iris and Felicity standing on the other side of the hall, worried. You looked back up, trying to contain the overwhelming emotions you were feeling, before making your way towards Iris and Felicity.
Something told you that things were about to get ugly.

‘First’ Sights Part 1
Tumblr media
~Based on season 2 episode 11 Eobard meets the reader for the first time. This is loosely based and does have quite a twist on things.~
Eobard x Reader
Warnings- Mentions of mourning lost love, mentions of betrayal, Reader doesn’t really like Barry, mentions of the reader wanting to die
Part 2 Coming tomorrow!
Sometimes it felt like she couldn’t breathe. Other times it felt like there was too much to feel, to feel at all.
After losing her husband because of his own betrayal, to watching him get wiped from existence itself, to Barry Allen's insults and berating, to a new Harrison Wells, and back to the prior issues.
She hated. It’s all she could feel anymore. After all, why keep feeling when you could just stop. If only she could stop the hate.
She hated Eobard Thawne. She hated that he was gone.
She hated Barry Allen. She hated the Flash.
She hated Team Flash. She hated Harrison Wells #2.
She hated living. She hated herself. She hated life.
Despite this, she kept fighting. She kept pushing. She stayed with the team and helped in every way she could.
She helped Barry learn to walk again.
She helped Cisco develop new technology.
She helped Harry get his daughter back.
She helped save life after life, still she felt nothing but hate. Every time someone got hurt or cried in her arms, she’d do anything to help; she’d pretend to feel whatever they needed because if she continued like normal maybe, just maybe, she’d be “normal” again.
She played the game well. She played it well enough that none of them noticed the frigid look in her eyes. Ever since him her heart was vacant. She felt hollow and if anyone were to notice the way she was when there were no eyes on her they’d know what she was.
Everyday she grew harder. More and more roughness around her edges. She was a shard of glass. She wondered what would shatter what was left of her broken soul.
That’s what she was wondering when she got the call.
~
I watched it ring. I always do. I don’t really care who’s in trouble this time, it’s just another thing to do. Another thing to distract me till something else comes to do the same.
It’s a tiring cycle. There was always a way to end this cycle, but I’m too stubborn to give life that kind of satisfaction.
Answering the call, I put it on speaker.
“What is it this time Cisco?”
I hear him sigh shakily, “Um we need you to get here, like now. I don’t have time to explain it, just get here please.”
Before I even answer he’s hung up the phone. I wonder what’s so important he had to call me. They never really do that.
I get in my car and make it to the Lab in 20 minutes. When I walk in I’m met with immediate chaos.
“Where have you been?” Harrison asks, “ Do you have any idea what’s going on?”
I kept walking in as we spoke. “No not really... Cisco called ‘n said I needed to get here then hung up.”
He paused. Stopping me he held me in that spot.
“It’s Thawne, he’s not the same one you remember but one from before he ever came back here.” A beat, “He got pulled in through one of the portals.”
I could feel his eyes ripping through my own. I could feel his hands gently laying on my wrists. I could feel my hands shake in the grip.
My dead husband’s not so dead. I didn’t know what feelings were creeping up on me, but I pushed them down.
I tear my hands away from him with a deep breath. “Why should I care? Hm? You pull me in here just to tell me this-”
Before I can finish he cuts me off. “We called you here because we need you to convince him to help us send him back.”
“That’s stupid,” I say tiredly. “He doesn’t know me. You’ll have a better chance with the Flash asking him.”
“We’re still trying to convince Allen he needs to send Thawne back. And as much as I’m sure it bothers you, he spent years with you enough that he married you.”
“Enough that he lied and faked being someone else? Enough that he threatened to kill me?”
“Honestly, do you think he would have. I can’t imagine spending all that time with someone, being so intimate and not feeling anything.” Harrison says, searching my eyes.
“That’s cause you’re not a sociopath Harrison… Eobard is.” I whisper.
After so much time having all this emotion to hit me so suddenly was making my normal roughness waver. I could see Harrison struggle; he’s never seen me show much emotion, yet here I am slipping up in front of him.
I sigh as he remains silent. “There’s no winning in this… Let’s just get it done with.”
Pursing his lips he nods and walks off.
After a few minutes I get my stuff put up and we head down to the pipeline.
“Why are we keeping him down here? I get doing it before because he didn’t have all his speed back then, but this time… Why doesn’t he just phase through the glass like Barry had Oliver do that one time?” I say skeptically.
Harrison seems to debate what I say for a moment. “I don’t know.”
Not the answer I was expecting from him but I’m not going to argue. I really don’t care all that much. I told Eobard the day he left I never wanted to see him again. I remember he screamed at me;  it was a maudlin plea. Point being, if he escapes then I won’t have to see him. He’ll never even know I was here.
Luck never really was on my side however. Walking into the pipeline the first thing my eyes catch is that yellow suit. I assume the only reason he’s standing so purposefully right now is because he heard Harrison and I make our descent to him.
I wanted to look anywhere else but those blue eyes held something far deeper than I had anticipated. He looked like he wanted to eat me whole. He also, however, looked relieved like a man who was finally able to breathe again.
In my attempt to gain some control over the situation I had decided to bring my tablet. After every big bad we catch I do a psychological evaluation to see where they should get placed. That’s why here and now I decided I would play the same role I always had, even if I'm trying to get different results.
He said nothing as Harrison and I stepped closer to the glass cell. After checking the cell's status I nodded for Harrison to leave the room.
I finally spoke. “My name is Y/n. I’m here to do a standard psychological evaluation, the more you comply the quicker I can leave you alone. Please don’t lie,” I say looking into his eyes, “I can tell when you are. If everything is clear we can begin.”
Eobard looked shocked, his blonde eyebrows raising slightly with a hint of a smile.
“Given you’ve said nothing I’m assuming we can begin.” I blink blankly at him. “What’s your full legal name?”
I look up at him. “You already know it, and if you don’t then why would I tell you?” He replies smoothly.
Sighing I roll my eyes. “This isn’t for me, it's to make sure you know it.”
“Please, this idiotic. I expected more from you.” He complains.
Anger fills me as my thin patience unravels. “If you want to get home Eobard I insist you comply. Alright?” I ask sharply.
“Who said I wanted to go back just yet.” Eobard says inquisitively.
“Why wouldn’t you want to go back, you spent quite a bit of time trying to before, now you don't?” I ask back.
He leans on the wall of his cell, settling his arms into place in front of his chest.
“There’s something I need to collect before I can go back. I get it, I leave. Simple as that.”
“What is it that you want from this time period, Thawne?” I question sighing.
“As much as I’d love to tell you, it’s much too soon for that little one.” He smiles, almost, warmly.
The pet-name made me stiff. I remember when he called me that, he only did after we got married, only did it in private. He always said it’s the first pet-name he ever thought of for me, It made me feel sick.
“First, don't call me that.” As hard as I tried my voice still wavered as I spoke. “Second, you aren't getting anything you want while in that cell, so if you really want whatever it is you’re gonna have to go home without it.” I spoke frigidly.
“This little cell isn’t going to stop me, pet, and you know that.” He moves off the wall, smiling.
“Listen, I don’t really care what you want… I just want you to go away.” I look down. “Clearly you’re coherent enough and aware of your surroundings and actions. That's all I needed to chart, so I’ll go ahead and leave you alone.” I say smiling bitterly.
Before he could say more I turned to walk out. I could hear him call for me to come back, could hear him scream my name, but I couldn’t turn around. The tears burned my eyes. I haven’t cried since the night I had officially lost him. I haven’t cried, but here I was running down the halls trying not to completely shatter on the ground.
I made my way up to the roof when I finally took a breath. Shaking I sent a text to Harrison simply stating, ‘he wont leave till he gets something he wont tell me what it is,’ hitting send I decide to send one more message, ‘be careful.’

ghost spider | cisco ramon x Gn!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part one
It was a just another day for Team Flash. One more meta-human captured and one step closer to a safe city. So when the alarm went off for a robbery, they all thought it was nothing more.
“He’s making a run for it Barry,” Cisco warned through the comms system. “You’ll catch him if you cut through the alley on 24th and Charles.”
Doing as Cisco said, he made his way on the street, skidding to a stop when he saw a panicked man rushing down the road. But Barry’s grin was quickly wiped off of his face when the robber was yanked off the street and into the air.
“Oh you robbers make it so easy,” a voice sighed.
Looking up, Barry’s eyes landed on you, hanging upside down so you were eye to eye with the cursing man.
“Who are you,” Barry shouted from his place on the ground.
You looked around the crook, smiling under the mask at the sight of the Flash. “No one of consequence.”
You suddenly flipped in the air, landing on a fire escape above the Flash and leaving the robber hanging. “But you can call me Ghost Spider.”
“Ghost Spider?” He couldn’t help but let out a laugh at the name, but before he could make another comment the sound of a gun firing stopped the both of them.
Barry was quick to rush to your side to stop the bullet, but you too moved fast—dodging the speeding weapon like it was nothing more than a football.
“Hey,” you shouted, turning to the man. “Didn’t anyone teach you fire safety?”
You flung a web out, snatching the firearm from the man, leaving both him and Barry shocked. “You could have killed me,” you pouted.
“W-w,” Barry stammered out, now more intrigued than ever. “What was that?!”
“Nothing of consequence,” you smirked.
“I swear to god,” the robber grumbled. “I’ll kill you both.”
“Blah blah blah,” you mocked, shooting another web to cover his mouth. “No one likes a blabber mouth.”
You turned back to Flash. “I’ll leave him to you. Catch you around Flash.”
Flinging a web at the nearest building, you swung away out of sight, leaving Barry watching you practically fly over Central City in awe.
“Did you see that,” he exclaimed to the very angry robber.

“So are they a meta-human,”Caitlyn asked once Barry returned to S.T.A.R. Labs.
“I think so. I mean they dodged a bullet that they didn’t even see get fired.”
“Wow,” Cisco mused. “And they shot spider-webs from their wrists?”
“Yeah, apparently it’s strong enough that they can hang from it and swing from buildings with it.”
“Woah…it’s a Spider-Man.”
“How do you even know if they’re a man,” Caitlyn questioned.
“Spider-Woman.”
“Actually,” Barry cut in. “Ghost Spider.”
“No,” Cisco exclaimed. “I name things, not you.”
Barry threw up his hands in mock defense. “I didn’t name them, they told me their name. Ghost Spider.”
Cisco frowned. “Hmm, it’s okay. I guess.” In truth he loved it, but he’d never admit it out loud.

That next time you made an appearance with the Flash, it was less than ideal. You had shown up right in time to meet the man in yellow.
To put it lightly, he didn’t appreciate you butting in on his meet with the Flash. You could hold your ground for only so long, but when he dragged you across the wall with his speed and threw you to the concrete ground, you looked worse than battered.
When Barry found you, you were knocked out, covered in blood, and mask in shreds, revealing your face.
His own instincts kicking in, he rushed you to S.T.A.R. Labs.
“Help me,” he panted after speeding into The Cortex with you in his arms.
It was action first and questions later as Caitlyn and Cisco rushed you to their makeshift hospital bed.
Hours later, your condition was finally stabilized, leaving the three to talk in the room over.
“They had 4 broken ribs, major fractures in their skull and will have extreme scarring all over their face.” She shook her head in disbelief. “There was no way they could have come back from that but…they did.”
“I guess that answers our meta-human question,” Cisco whispered.
“Do you know exactly how they were able to survive that, much less stabilize so quickly?”
Caitlyn shook her head. “No. I could run tests, but I wouldn’t want to do that while they’re in such a fragile condition and without them knowing.”
“Extreme cell regeneration.”
Everyone whipped around in shock to see you leaning on the door way; the only sign of damage on you being the discoloration from your scars and the tired expression in your eyes.
“Woah,” Cisco exclaimed. “You should not be up much less even awake.
A tired chuckle left you. “I’m fine.”
“Cisco’s right,” Caitlyn entered. “You shouldn’t be up, it’s extremely dangerous.”
“I promise you, I’m fine. You can check if you’d like.”
Caitlyn gave Cisco and Barry a glance, begging for them to back her up, but sighed when she saw it was fruitless.
“Okay.”
Not too long after the group found themselves looking over your X-rays and brain scans.
“How?”
“Extreme cell regeneration.”
“But on this level,” Cisco asked in amazement, coming in close and touching your cheek, examining your face. “It’s nearly impossible.”
Heat spread up your neck, burning your cheeks and ears as you felt how close he was.
“Shoot sorry, got too excited,” he laughed off, embarrassment settling in on him.
“It’s okay,” you laughed before clearing your throat. “It started a few months ago when your particle accelerator blew up. You see, I’m a biochemist for Mercury Labs and I was studying spiders and their healing capabilities—did you know the silk in a spider could repair human ligaments or—or that sea spiders can regrow entire body parts instead of just limbs.”
“Umm…no,” Barry chuckled lightly.
“Right sorry, besides the point,” you coughed. “I was at the lab late that night, looking over my work and when the incident happened, everything kind of exploded all over me. I woke up feeling normal at first, but everything felt dialed up to 20. I could hear see, and feel everything, a million times better than before. I was stronger, all of my injuries would heal overnight or even in hours. I stuck to walls and I had what I call a 6th sense. It helps me sense danger before it’s there.”
“Like a spidey sense,” Cisco whispered in amazement.
“Yeah,” you smiled, your stomach doing weird flips. “Like a spidey sense.”

Imagine: Seeing Thawne who doesn’t remember who he is.
Tumblr media
Both your heart and your mind were racing. This was completely unexpected and hard to believe. That there was a version of Eobard Thawne, who wasn’t a killer. Who wasn’t consumed by his anger and hate for Barry Allen. See, he had lost of his memory. While you and Barry both had absolutely no idea how this had came to be, you did your best to remain strong. Barry Allen stood directly beside you. Meena was in her office, grabbing some things. Eobard Thawne looked between the both of you. He was still trying to make sense of things, especially since Barry had become so hostile and angry with him. But he looked to you. It was that look in your eyes. You looked…not angry. Not afraid. But your gaze was full of almost a hopefulness and happiness. It was odd. Barry looked over at you, his brow furrowing. “Y/N, are you okay?” He asked. “What is it?”
“Nothing it’s just-“ You swallowed. “It’s strange. Seeing him like this. So happy. So…ordinary.”You shake your head. “It’s almost…nice.”
Eobard narrowed his eyes. “I’m sorry?”
“Nice?” Barry looked to you. “How is it nice? He doesn’t remember who he is. He doesn’t remember what he is or what he’s done.”
“That’s it exactly.” You remarked. “He doesn’t remember. He doesn’t remember how much he hates you. But…” You looked over to Thawne. He doesn’t remember you. Who you are. “He doesn’t remember me. He doesn’t remember adopting me. Raising me. Everything he took from me.”
Thawne looked between the both of you. His eyes grew at your words. “I’m sorry…adopted you? Raised you? Who are you?”
You pressed your lips together, trying to gather the right words. “You may not remember who I am. But know this. I was once someone you cared deeply for. Someone you loved and protected. And you need to know, that even though you were the villain, you saved me in so many ways and helped me become who I am.”
Eobard Thawne looked to you. And he could have sworn your words were genuine. True. And for some odd reason he felt himself believing you…
He felt…connected to you.
