In 2016, Revolution Radio released during my first semester of university. It holds a very dear and sentimental place in my heart. Fast forward 8 years, and Saviors releases. I'm in such a different stage of life now- homeowner, with the love of my life and thinking about the next stages of adulthood. In the way that RevRad was the soundtrack for that teenage/student period, Saviors, which IMO is a deeply emotional and sentimental album, is the soundtrack for this new chapter of adulthood. I feel like Green Day has grown with me, and it's beautiful to have that ❤️

Little self indulgent project of mine. Been turning green day albums into pony characters. Working backwards from recent to old.
Right now we have Vertigo (Saviors), Sugar Shakes (FoAMF), and Revolution Radio (...Revolution Radio.)
I gave them personalities and stuff but i dont want this post to be too long so lmk if you want me to explain and i will. I like how they turned out. More coming soon.

Top Five Green Day Albums
To celebrate the release of Saviors, here's a list of my favorite Green Day albums! Note: I have been a fan of theirs since 1992.
Revolution Radio
Tell me to pick my favorite song from this album, and I simply couldn't do it. It speaks do me in a way that no other Green Day album has.
2. American Idiot
Do I really need to say anything? It's a masterpiece!
3. 21st Century Breakdown
I liked all of these songs immensely except for "21 Guns". The line "one, twenty-one guns" grates on my ears, and I don't why. I'll blame my sensory processing issues.
4. Saviors
This album may have just released, but I already know it belongs in the top five. Some of the songs have an American Idiot vibe and others remind me of their earlier stuff. So far, I really like "Father to a Son", "Goodnight Adeline", and "Dilemma".
5. Warning
Here's the precursor to American Idiot. I played "Macy's Day Parade" and "Church on Sunday" one too many times, and now the songs are permanently seared into my brain.
Honorable Mention:
Dookie
As a adolescent, I played this album on repeat. And the album cover is truly amazing and awesome!
Well, that's all I have for today. Until next time, take care and stay curious.
