The PSCentral event theme being growth the month of the Frozen 10th Anniversary is so fitting for me in so many ways. (I know the theme this month was literally my idea but I promise I didn't even think of giffing Frozen until after I suggested it)

There's the obvious growth of the characters and their relationships in the movie itself, which I highlighted in this gifset. But there's also the growth I experienced myself in the 10 years since the film's release.

I was 15 when Frozen came out. Honestly before I even watched the movie I knew I would love it. I was so hyped the moment Disney announced it, and when I did see it the weekend it came out in the cinemas, it was everything I needed. A story that focused on two unique women and the complexities both of their individual characters and their relationship with each other. A story where the message was non-romantic love can be just as important and powerful as romantic love.

When I first watched the movie as a teenager, I always related to Anna but now as an adult, I related more to Elsa. Over the 10 years since Frozen's release, I have changed but my unwavering love for it has not. I am just able to connect to and see parts of myself in different aspects.

Something else very appropriate with this month's theme is that Frozen is actually the reason I got into gifmaking. Yes, extremely low quality gifs that I made on GIMP (not even Photoshop!) as a teenager in the early 2010s is my gifmaker origin story. I've come so far as a gifmaker since those days. But I'm not linking any of those early gifsets I've moved blogs twice since then for a reason just trust me when I say I've improved. I love making gifs and the community of people I've formed through this hobby. I've learned so many techniques and skills over the years and Frozen really is the biggest reason for that.

I am so grateful to have been able to grow up with Anna and Elsa this past decade. Thank you, Anna and Elsa. Thank you, Frozen, for being my favourite movie.

after 15x19 dean is looking for a way out of hunting and needs some space/feels he needs to give sam some space so he moves to sonny's. helps out around the farm. mentors the boys. picks up the guitar again. and even though sonny can tell something is weighing him down (more than usual), he doesn't pry. he waits for dean to open up and he's there for dean when he does.

Want to know how I know Frozen 3 will most definitely not be great? The announcement of a Frozen 4.

The problem with Frozen 2 was that it had many, many ideas and they attempted, and utterly failed, to condense them into one singular linear story; the problem with Frozen 3 is that they "have so many ideas" that they realized they can't realistically condense them into one singular movie so their solution to "not repeat a frozen 2" is to instead push for ALL ideas to move forward which in turn has given them an overly lengthy cut.

Watching Frozen 1 in cinemas for the first time in a long while really reminded me how Frozen worked because it was very very simple and most of its heart was in the two "main" characters and how they navigated through life after a horrendous situation they were put through.

The heart of Frozen is not all the mystical and mythical elements that they can't get enough of attempting to push, hell, the most compelling part of Elsa as a character was just how raw and human she felt DESPITE having otherworldly powers.

I truly don't know which road they're taking the franchise through, but if the podcast and the books that have come out are anything to go by, it's straying way too far from what made the first movie compelling and enjoyable: its freaking simplicity.

Danny Phantom characters reenacting Frozen. But not like in an AU, Danny and his friends decide to reenact it for reasons and they rope a bunch of people into it. Danny is Elsa (duh) and when he’s trying to hide his powers he’s Fenton, then after Let It Go he’s phantom. Also just imagine how hilarious danny singing let it go and building the ice castle would be!

Jazz would be Anna and would try to analyze all of Danny’s feelings and stuff. I feel like Sam would make a good Kristoff but idk who Jazz would end up with then. Sven would be either a giant blob ghost or a sentient carnivorous plant, either way they tape a pair of fake antlers to it

The box ghost would be Olaf. BEWARE! I am Olaf and I like boxes! Cue Valarie facepalming “it’s warm HUGS not boxes! Dani finds out what’s going on and decides she is Olaf now, multiple scenes have them fighting for the right to play the beloved snowman. Sometimes there’s 2 Olaf’s saying things in the same scene

I feel like Tucker would be the guy who runs the trading post I cannot remember his name

The big marshmallow guy who kicks them out of the ice castle would be Frostbite. The other yetis would be sitting on bleachers in the background cheering

The trolls would obviously be blob ghosts, except for the grandpa troll who is clockwork (the other ghosts are very confused by his presence but he’s having a blast doing this)

Now for Hans. The evilest and most annoying Disney villain. They get a cardboard cutout of the actual version from frozen and take great joy in destroying it (they keep having to make more because everytime he’s in a scene someone ends up destroying him. Even the blob ghosts set him on fire a few times)

Wes plays the Duke guy who wants Elsa killed he’s totally not here to prove Danny is phantom nope this camera is part of his costume honest!

Valarie is trying direct and convince people to stick to the story because she is going to fail her film class if this doesn’t work nowDANNY GET BACK IN THE DRESS AND STOP THROWING SNOWBALLS

Also danny is having the time of his life and is having so much fun using his powers and stuff

I just want to put my thoughts out into the universe about how amazingly cast the Frozen characters were on Once Upon A Time! Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Hans they were all so perfect!

I was lucky enough to be able to see it on TV as it premiered and I just remember being so excited and completely blown away with how well this show depicted the world of Arendelle. Not only was it impressive that it was released so early in the first Frozen movie's hype, but again, it was just done extremely well! The details were so perfect, from the costuming to using a real reindeer for Sven! It was just stunning to get to see Frozen brought to life like that! You can tell there was some love and respect for the fans put into it. And again the casting was phenomenal. Elizabeth Lail who portrayed Anna was absolutely fantastic. She was everything I would've wanted a live action version of Anna to be. Even her mannerisms were spot on. And in case you didn't know she plays the police officer in the new Five Night's at Freddy's movie, so FNAF is now technically linked to Frozen in a weird way. You're welcome!

Even with it's little flaws and discrepancies, I still love it for what it is! It was honestly a brilliant storyline for it's time. I highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven't seen it! The show as a whole is pretty incredible, but the Frozen arc will forever be my favorite. I'm definitely going to give it a rewatch soon myself!

Honestly the people in charge of those live action movies should take notes....Once Upon A Time has done it better on many occasions.
