Hello, my Reylo beauties! Here is “Chapter 1” of my new fic, written for the Twilight Zone Reylo Collection II. It’s inspired by both the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride at Disney and the Elevator Game you might’ve seen on the Internet. 🖤🤍

TITLE: Elevator to Another Dimension

SUMMARY:

“Long ago, on a stormy night much like this, movie star Ben Solo disappeared after lightning struck the elevator shaft of the Twilight Tower Hotel. Ever since then, the allegedly haunted hotel has sat closed, unwanted, and abandoned. But now, decades later, the hotel is to be renovated. Rey, a lover of classic Ben Solo films, has been tasked with bringing the broken-down elevator back to life.

What secrets does the old elevator hold? And what really happened to Ben Solo all those years ago? When she steps inside the elevator, Rey just might discover that elevators can take you to more than different floors in a building. In fact, elevators may actually have the ability to transport you to . . . another dimension.”

I think it’s really interesting that according to Adam Driver, even after TLJ they were still sticking with the plan to keep Kylo Ren as a villain to the end. He said his character was still on the same track and in that scenario we’d never have seen “Ben Solo.” Can you imagine? 😟 I mean, yes TROS was a dumpster fire in a lot of ways, but I will always be grateful that they didn’t go the way they almost went. I’m grateful for what we got and for the fact that in some ways you could argue that they’ve now left it open for the possibility of more Ben Solo content.

Stop saying "yeah I get that TLJ had some problems" or "I didn't hate TLJ, but," or "the Sequels could've been great, TFA was such a good start,"

and tell me why you think The Last Jedi was bad at all. I keep looking for a flaw and all I can find is "the audience wasn't ready to watch Star Wars like it's an ongoing story instead of a 💫 Star Wars Checklist cleverly disguised as a story 💫 "

I’ll never understand why people have to be such dicks to shippers for literally no goddamn reason.

If you don’t ship it, that’s fine. Why do you have to scream your hatred of it in the faces of people that do ship it? Why be so violent and mean about it? What do you gain by being an asshole? It’s so childish and strange.

I feel like everyone on both sides blew Reylo way out of proportion. It's literally the most basic inoffensive Baby's First Enemies To Lovers™ ship. The reason there's like three billion published novels that started life as Reylo is because it's so by the numbers that it can be easily adapted to any ETL/RTL AU you can possibly think of.

And honestly I think as a collective the haters were way more unhinged than the fans because everyone acts like their ship is god's gift to romance, you come to expect that, but the way the anti-Reylo crowd at the peak of the sequel trilogy would have had you believe it was the most toxic and problematic ship ever? This? I've seen more moral complexity in Steven Universe.

#were there INDIVIDUAL Reylo shippers who were unhinged or problematic? yeah obvs.#but that's not a reflection on the ship that's a reflection on fandom culture. happens with literally EVERY popular ship.#some of the most insane lunatics in fandom history were johnlockers or destiellers but we still let those ships dominate this website #anyway real talk Anakin and Padme are a more toxic ship than Kylo and Rey #and that's nothing against Anakin and Padme we love Anakin and Padme

Thought I had when I saw Adam Driver is going to host SNL in a few weeks

It'd be amazing if one of these times when Adam is hosting SNL (cause I'm sure this won't be the last time) while he's doing the monologue Daisy interrupts and asks, "Want to come back and make another Star Wars movie?". He shrugs nonchalantly and goes, "Sure. See you at work on Monday."

I know that the likelihood this would happen is infinitesimal/non-existent, but if it did I'm pretty sure my scream would be heard by my friend that lives half way across the country.
