If you're still doing 5 headcanon stuff (if not feel free to ignore): Platonic Tony x Rhodey, with werewolf family?
Love this idea <3
Jim was pretty sure that he was paired with Tony for the dorms specifically because they were the only two werewolves entering the student population that year. Two werewolves would know the ins and outs of being around other werewolves already, so no learning curve for a human roommate. It was stupid. They were from different packs. They could have attacked each other on sight. Their packs could have had a feud, and the humans wouldn't have known about it. But, it was also the eighties. That type of ignorance was sort of par for the course back then. Tony hadn't noticed Jim was a werewolf too, had simply walked in and said, "This is my bed, I'm gonna roll all over it now so it smells like me," and then accidentally wedged himself between the bed and the wall and whined until Jim had rescued him, and well. That had sort of been that.
Tony is orphaned. Jim grabs him by the scruff after the funeral and drags him home with him. "This is ours now," he tells his mama. Mama gives Tony a slow up-and-down, then says, "Well, he's the only other person with taste in this house," and that's that. ("What the hell is that supposed to mean?" she's asked later, and she scowls and reminds everyone that Tony is the only other person who prefers sweet potato pie to pumpkin and now she doesn't have to worry about her pies molding before she can finish them.) They quickly find out that Tony's quirks that they've brushed off as 'eccentric rich person' are actually coping mechanisms because his parents were not very good werewolves. Boarding school had not been Tony's choice, and he'd only started college early because once home, he didn't know how to live with other werewolves. It was why he'd been so careless about rooming with Jim in the dorms. He didn't know he was supposed to be on the defensive around another werewolf. It's dangerous. Other wolves can and will take advantage of his guard being down all the time. He's still a pup, in some ways. Others, he's aged beyond his years. Jim hears his mama and dad whispering some nights about how the Starks ruined him, how they stunted him and made him grow too soon as the same time, how they can try and fix some of what's happened to him but he's always going to be at least a little bit broken. Jim remembers that, when Tony dons a suit and smiles sharp and wide, baring his teeth when other werewolves would hide them. He plays human and werewolf in a way that Jim can't even begin to comprehend. (Doesn't want to.) And he does it well. (It breaks their hearts.)
Tony seems to realize that he's... Different. Jim and the rest of his family try their hardest to convince him that they don't care, that they love him in spite of that, that he's still part of the pack and just because his instincts got all messed up doesn't mean he's a bad person. But it's not enough. Probably wouldn't have been enough even if they'd taken him in earlier, gotten a head start on fixing his frayed edges. He starts sharing less of his life, carefully covering his face so he doesn't smile when a werewolf wouldn't and set the family on edge. Visits less, and times them with Jim's so he never visits alone. "I think the war ruined my parents," Tony says, and Jim turns to look at him, frowning. Tony is staring out the window as Happy drives them to a banquet. Normally they take the drive to pep each other up for the absolute torture of glad-handing, but Tony had been conspicuously quiet, and Jim hadn't wanted to push him. "Okay?" Jim replies carefully. Tony doesn't respond for a moment, but when he finally does, he still can't make eye contact with him. "Mom's pack was scattered by the war. Lots of her male relatives died. The rest moved wherever they could to keep their kids safe. Supplies were scarce, so smaller groups were preferred. Mom left so that she wouldn't be a burden. Dad, well... he didn't talk about his parents much. He only had one picture of them. And then the war, and Captain America, and the nuclear bomb... I think I wouldn't have had a chance to be normal even if I hadn't gotten sent off to boarding school." He's probably right, Jim thinks, but doesn't say so. All he can see is the kid who wedged himself between his bed and his wall and whined until he got him free. "Yeah, well, that's their loss," he says, and Tony offers him a wide smile that a normal werewolf wouldn't have. He smiles back, because he's known Tony long enough to know that his bared teeth are not a threat. Knows it puts Tony at ease that he'll bare his teeth back.
Tony is kidnapped in Afghanistan, and Jim finds him walking the sands after a successful escape, pausing every few yards to let out dry howl, lips cracked and a hole glowing in his chest. Jim gnashes his teeth furiously as he listens to the doctors explain that they can't do more to help. How he's only alive because he's a werewolf, and the technology simply wasn't there to keep him from bleeding to death if they tried to surgically remove the shrapnel. Gnashes his teeth when Tony destroys one of his fighter jets, almost kills one of his pilots and then saves him, buys him a new jet in recompense. Gnashes his teeth when he learns Obadiah was behind Tony's kidnapping, almost killed him again, almost killed Pepper and would have done so without remorse. Gnashes his teeth was Tony finally admits he's dying from palladium poisoning from the reactor. Gnashes his teeth when Tony joins some stupid secret boy band called the Avengers, and he's working with Captain America, who told Tony to his face that he knew men who were worth ten of him, and Natasha, who had betrayed his trust and stabbed him in the neck, and other people Jim doesn't know so doesn't trust or like them. Gnashes his teeth when he realizes that they're all broken just like Tony, and are able to relate to him in ways that Jim will never be able to, because he grew up in a loving family and literally no one else did. Tony is still the only one who smiles though. Jim can see it puts the rest of the Avengers on edge, the way he bares his teeth without thinking about it. Human in ways they can't be. Werewolf in ways they can't, either. Jim bares his teeth back at him, and Tony throws his head back and laughs as the rest of the Avengers back away, anxious and confused.
"So are you dating again, or?" Jim asks, picking through a bowl of puppy chow. He likes the ones with more peanut butter than chocolate. He doesn't mention he can see the Avengers turning toward them in interest even as they desperately try to pretend to mind their own business. "Pepper mentioned you going out on a date finally." Tony shrugs. "Yeah, I thought I might put myself back out there. I don't know. Just feels discouraging that I can't keep a girlfriend. Or boyfriend," he adds belatedly. "'s 'cause you're weird," Jim offers helpfully. "Yeah," Tony sighs. At least he's self-aware. "Anyway, I'm gonna go menace the rest of your team," Jim adds, popping the last few bites of puppy chow he'd dug out into his mouth. "Gotta show 'em who's boss, after all." "Okay, but if you make Bruce Hulk out, you have to clean up the mess," Tony replies, and Jim salutes him before he goes over to bare his teeth at the rest of the Avengers until they scramble out of his way nervously. He finds it flattering that most of them can't meet his eyes. Bruce even sort of grabs someone's shirt and puts it over his head, as if physically blocking his gaze away would help. Jim crunches a mouthful of puppy chow next to his ear in response. He wants everyone to be certain that if they did anything to hurt Tony, they'd have not just him, but the rest of his family there to make them pay for it. Also a couple of them had looked way too interested in the fact Tony was dating again.

Maybe it is just me,
add if you like
But, Bucky and Steve are inherently pretty damn decent in math, especially geometry and trigonometry, physics. Because they have to calculate quickly how the bullet or shield will go. Same with Clint.
They are genuinely smart in what they do. I think that is neat
Also, plus
Tony frothing at Bucky and Steve (Clint as well if you ship them) at the sheer fast math these assholes do.
Like, I love this thought, so I will continue to validate myself that Bucky Fucking Barnes is a genius in his own damn right. Steve is an art genius and fucking skilled in throwing his giant weaponized frisbee. Fight me.

Just Sarah, helping Sam and Bucky throw an Avengers' New Year's Party. Cass and AJ hanging out with the Young Avengers. Rhodey and Monica flirting with Sarah. Jen and Matt in their own little corner. Yelena drinking Scott and Hope under the table. Ayo and Aneka critiquing the design of the new Avengers Campus. Sam and Bucky chatting with a flustered Joaquín. All of them counting down to the New Year.

Tony Being Sick
Because of the Arc Reactor, Tony's lung capacity is a lot smaller than it should be, making even common colds dangerous for him
When Tony gets sick, Bucky takes over and cares for him because sick Tony reminds him of pre-serum Steve
Tony has to go down to medical any time he feels remotely sick because if not, he could potentially die. Pneumonia and the Flu are especially bad.
Tony feels weak when he's sick. Not just physically, though that is true, but mentally. He feels weak because no one else has to worry about dying when they catch a cold and the others can still go on missions while he's confined to a bed in medical because some bastards thought it would be good to fill his chest with metal
Steve helps with this sometimes and he'll share stories about him trying to get into the military without the serum
Rhodey will call as often as possible when Tony is sick so he isn't lonely and then once paralyzed, will stay and sleep down in medical to keep Tony company

Irondad fic ideas #33
Fuck Endgame. Tony gets to have peace in his time. He gets to go home. Being dead is NOT the only way for a person like him, who has been hurt so much and given so much, to rest.
Instead, rest for Tony looks like this:
He spends time with his family. Cooking with Pepper. Tea parties with Morgan and lab days with Peter. Car rides with Happy and talking with Rhodey and going to cooking classes with May.
The earth is safe enough. He has given enough and now it's other heroes' turn to keep it that way. He gets to be at peace.
This fic idea was submitted by @creative-girl !
(Edit: accidentally left out the angst part of the idea: see #33 mark 2)

ANGSTY SPIDERSON AND IRON DAD HCS
1.🕊️ (Warning for @bus3)
Peter loved aunt may but aunt may blammed Peter for uncle Ben's death, leading her to become cold, and abusive towards Peter. Peter, without any remaining family members or friends that could help him, felt that all hope was lost. Until he became Spiderman.
After Peter and tony met, they started to form a close relationship, some would say (*cough cough* rohdey, pepper and happy *cough cough*) a fatherly son sort of bond. Peter thought of it like this and so did tony but they never let eachother know. One day, when the avengers bought Peter along on a mission, he got hurt. It was supposed to be an easy mission, punch some bad guys and save the day as always.
Peter had his ribs broken (classic Peter 😭)
As Hellen cho patched him up, making sure his excelertated healing didn't heal his ribs in the wrong place, she noticed the cuts and bruises all along his body. Informing the avengers as Hellen dearly loved Peter, they all knew who did it.
And that's how they figured out why Peter doesn't like going home
That's how they figured out why Peter didn't talk about may.
That's how Peter moved into the avengers tower.
2.🕊️
Tony had a bracelet that he gave to Peter. He didn't expect him to ever wear it, assuming that Peter thought it would be too 'girly'.
Peter wore it EVERYWHERE.
Peter knew that it could track his location, vitals, emotions E.T.C, but he didnt mind, because he trusted mr. Stark with his life. Tony got an alert from F.R.I.D.A.Y, saying:
"mini boss is in distress sir, elevated heart beat showing, and distortion. He's showing signs of a panic attack. Location: midtown school."
Tony dropped everything, and was at the highschool in three minutes flat.
Ever since then, tony did his best to help Peter, and get him to co-operate. Now in his locker at school, aswell as ned's and MJ's, theres a spidey safe kit, and in the tower, everything Peter needs to calm down.
There's one problem, no one knows why he has them, and no one asks due to the order of iron dad (as Nat, rhodey, Steve and pepper now call him), because tony trusts that when the time comes, he will tell him.
And if Peter needs him at any time, click the little button on the bracelet.

@shieldretired asked for a random yet completely useless headcanon I have for Rhodey! -
Rhodey, who has a Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour named after himself, hates ice cream.
Water ices are okay, froyo is pushing the boundaries but he might venture into that sometimes if he's in the right kind of mood, but absolutely no ice cream.

The way we got an uncle Happy scene but never any uncle Rhodey scene. Like these two would become besties by driving Pepper and Tony insane and stealing snacks all around the house and having cartoons marathon on snowy days

Tony constantly steals Rhodey's hoodies, despite clearly being able to get as many of his own as he wants (they're his honey bear's, though, and that makes them special).
Tony's significant other steals what they think is one of Tony's hoodies from his days in MIT.
Rhodey walks in 20 minutes later and nearly chokes on his coffee when he finds them wearing his hoodie that he thought he lost because "DAMMIT, TONY! I searched everywhere for that one!"

Kurt: Dad *peeking inside*
Steve: Yeah Kurt? *painting*
Kurt: why don't you ever talk about grandpa? Pop does
Steve: *thinks for a moment putting down his paintbrush* Well, because my father, wasn't nice. Sometimes, parents aren't good, but your grandma was amazing, she was a nurse. She helped everyone
Kurt: she was nurse? *grins* like pop mom was an emt?
Steve:...huh... yeah but your pop dad was so much cooler
Kurt: is it normal for uncle Tony and Bruce not to mention their fathers then?
Steve: *thinking* [Note to self, avoid a necromancer]

Participating in a meeting with the Avengers...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The meetings were not really held on a regular basis, but rather were a gathering when a crisis situation needed to be addressed or when Tony and/or Steve had a particular mission to complete and needed extra help despite their personal pride.
A threat must have been detected somewhere in the world, something big enough to require the presence of all the Avengers in the headquarters. Which was not a very usual thing.
Taking a seat on one of the black seats, around the transparent table on which anyone could leave fingerprints quite charming.
Surprised to see Steve and Tony around the table, you were even more surprised when the Secretary of State appeared in the room.
You were surrounded by Wanda, on your left, and Sam, on your right. In front of you, Natasha had her hands crossed and resting on the table, her face closed, as if she expected to hear the briefing of a difficult mission.
But that was not the case. Instead, the Secretary of State began his speech by listing all the disastrous consequences of all the interventions of your group of superheroes. All this obviously accompanied by a magnificent presentation that left no one indifferent.
Remaining silent, you didn't really know how to react so your eyes landed successively on your comrades.
Wanda had a guilty look on her face, the same one she wore every day when someone said the word Lagos.
Sam and Rhodey were frowning, desperately trying to see what the politician was getting at.
As for Natasha, Steve and Tony, their faces betrayed the fact that they had realized what saving a large part of humanity entailed.
In a reproachful tone, the Secretary of State concluded his diatribe with a remark that irritated you slightly.
“And that's how the world works.”
It was the fact that a politician who spent his time with his butt on a chair dared to judge the actions of people who were actually trying to make the world a better place that made you decide to speak up.
“Wait... are you really saying that we don't know how the world works? When was the last time you were out on the street, Mr. Secretary of State? The last time you had to fight for the survival of thousands of people?”
As you spoke, Tony let out a sigh in indirect response to your words. Receiving no response, you continued.
“That's what I thought. So before you lecture us on what's right and wrong, you might want to reconsider your definition of how the world works.”
Visibly irritated by his remark, you had difficulty bringing your anger down.
Cracking your knuckles, you only crossed your arms after receiving an authoritative look from Steve. Not wanting to get into any more trouble, you continued your almost insulting monologue in your mind. Then you simply stopped listening to him.
It was unusual for you to speak in such a way, and despite the fact that you were standing up to a politician who could put you in jail, your attitude seemed to amuse Natasha, who unconsciously let a slight smile appear on her lips.
The Avengers were a democratic assembly to a certain point. On the surface everyone had a say, but when you got a little closer, the voices of the younger people and especially the "newbies" seemed to have less impact on the decisions made.
The sound of something heavy being thrown on the table brought you back to the current situation, however, a large bundle of bound papers had just passed from the Secretary of State's hands to Sam's, and then to Natasha's.
The Sokovia Accords had just entered the conversation and with them, the beginning of an endless debate that would lead to irreversible events.

Despite the fact that her dad and basically all of his friends are Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the people to be afraid of when it comes to Morgan dating are Pepper and Happy. Background checks are done for everyone; Pepper doesn’t even have to ask, she just mentions a boy’s name and Happy has an entire dossier on her desk (or in her inbox, if she’s working from home) within the hour. Oh, Pepper plays nice when they come to pick up Morgan for their date, smiles and greets them warmly, but there’s a warning in her eyes. Meanwhile, Happy is blatantly threatening them if they’re anything less than gentlemanly towards their girl, making it clear that he’s been best friends with geniuses and military men for decades, and he knows exactly how to get away with murder, so they’d better not try anything. Frankly, the Avengers are just back-up at this point.
