tropius + rhyhorn - rock/grass type. the bananas around its neck are protected by a thick, rocky peel. if you manage to break them open, you will be rewarded with delicious sweetness - but try taking them by force and you’ll be in for a world of hurt. ask nicely instead!

Here's something I've had in my mind for a very long time. I'm really glad I've been able to get it out and I hope you all enjoy it.

asking out of curiosity, but how common would each of these variants be?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Link was being dumb, sorry…)
Hello!
The Purebred (Kantonian breed in this case) is the most common of this list and is found anywhere Rapidash and Ponyta is found (except for Galar where the Galarian breed is found instead).
The Vog is the least common, only being found in captivity. The only region where Wooloo and Dubwool are native alongside Ponyta and Rapidash is Galar. The Vog breed is born to a Kantonian mother, not a Galarian one.
Ion Storm isn't common, but it's not rare either. Neither of the parent pokemon are commonly found together in the wild but they are seen together occasionally.
Hanabi is a "spring" father exclusive and so the rarity changes depending on what region your in. In some regions, a sawsbuck/deerling's form changes depending on the time of year. In other regions, it depends on where it's found.
The Pahoehoe is common-ish? Mudsdales and Mudbrays are not typically found in the same environment in a region but have been known to mingle.
The Destrier breed is the second most common breed on this list. In some places, the Destrier breed may even be more common than the standard breed!
(///ooc: I found the post this art came from! Here's the post for those curious!)

We know Rhyperior is terrible but, is Rhyhorn more manageable?
Tumblr media
Nope! Just like rhyperiors, rhyhorns would make terrible pets due to their dangerous behavior.
At over 200 pounds, rhyhorns are pretty big for house pets and may have a hard time getting around some homes. You're not gonna find a doggie-door big enough for this fella, let alone a pet bed. It's unclear how friendly or personable a rhyhorn would be, as there's not much detail about their personality in the pokédex aside from them being not the most intelligent of creatures and having a terrible memory (Crystal, Sapphire).
But enough with the talk about personality and size, that stuffs not the issue. To put it as simply as possible: a rhyhorn would destroy your home. Your house, apartment, anywhere you live will be rubble. Rhyhorns are famed for their habit of charging into things. It's said that once a rhyhorn starts charging, no matter the reason, it won't stop until it falls asleep (Yellow). We don't know why exactly rhyhorns charge (it could be as simple as boredom, for all we know), but neither do they: their memories are so bad, rhyhorns routinely forget why they're charging in the first place (Crystal)! When charging, rhyhorns are so powerful they can "shatter" skyscrapers (FireRed). If your rhyhorn gets in the mood to run, your home is done.
Not that they need covering at this point, but being a ground and rock-type pokémon, rhyhorns can use a lot of moves that should raise some eyebrows. Moves like Earthquake can cause property damage and harm without the pokémon even needing to charge!
I'm not a poké-lawyer, but in my opinion rhyhorns should probably be banned in residential areas. They are most definitely best observed from a safe distance in the wild or under the care of an extremely experienced keeper.

Pick Tumblr's Favorite Pokemon, Day 31!
Here's today's batch of pokemon! Who's your favorite? Remember, these first rounds are not single elimination - every pokemon with at least 9.5% of the vote will move on! (Note: the previous polls in this initial round were judged at 10% rounded, so i will be staying at that criteria to keep it fair)

Also, congrats to yesterday's winners!
