So I feel the need to say that I haven’t dived this hard into fandom, especially on tumblr, since the golden days of superwholock. Fandom back then became a super scary place both fans and actors alike. (Especially one particular show / fandom of that trio) and I legit dropped off the radar except for a handful of ventures to tags that never lasted long.

I’ve posted before about how welcoming the OFMD fandom is.. and I want to also say a huge part of why I feel safe to enjoy this is the actors themselves. Taika, Rhys, Con, Nathan.. etc they embrace and enjoy the queer reaction to this show. They specifically made a queer show. They don’t mock the fans for their love or their art or anything.

I think about Nathan’s tweet about how he hopes the people who draw him looking absolutely snatched never change. Like I think about it a LOT.

I feel safe knowing if they ever saw anything I write, or even if I bust out my dusty tablet and actually draw something again.. that there’s zero risk of one of them finding it and freaking out about it.

I can be myself and love what I love in this show.
