Dumb au thoughts:.

Weather Wizard drinks water out of reusable coffee cups and refuses to buy from Starbucks.

Heat Wave has a favorite pizza place where you can see the fire oven from the dining area. He watches it like a kid watches those fish aquariums in waiting lobbies. Hates pizza from little Caesars.

Pied Piper dislikes going to the eye doctor or the dentist. People touching his face for extended periods of time and close examinations of his face make him twitchy.

Black Adam likes flying at night.

Also! Teth Adam is now a name of power due to it's striking from memory. If a person knows that name and who it belongs to and manages to speak it, Adam can feel it's draw. Like a prayer of sort

Best way to make the Flash go quite is to put food in his face. He doesn't even register it as rude.

The Rogues have a designated hangout bar: Saints and Sinners, and a designated hangout coffee shop: Sally's Coffee House.

Riddler prefers vanilla and mint milkshakes and Penguin makes sure to keep him in supply whenever he comes to the lounge. Riddler does switch it up sometimes

My favorite thing about your villain Fenton au is just that he's a villain from like 1940s/50s DC. Like he's all camp no edge. But also he wins which makes it 2000% funnier than the idk The Riddler did in that time period.

Fenton's loose! And this time, he's been inspired by his parent's VHS collection of their favorite Saturday morning cartoons

(yes, I know the VHS tape wasn't available on the market until 1976 but work with me here)

Watch out, Gotham!

Ope, an anvil to the head? No worse than a pillow when it hits you, but it still weighs 200 pounds when you try to pick it up normally.

Walked straight off a random cliff without realizing it? Well, as long as you keep looking up, and don't question where the cliff came from, you'll be fine! Everyone knows gravity doesn't work until you look down.

Be careful of what strangers give you since it might literally blow up in your face! The large white presents tied with a red bow either contain banana cream pies or dynamite. Neither will really hurt you, but the dynamite powder is so hard to clean off with regular soap; it's a nightmare!

Fenton somehow manages to pull off every single old cartoon gag he's ever seen without actually harming anyone. But at the same time, he can invent and use technology that the DC universe is decades away from implementing. It drives the more tech-savvy heroes and villains nuts trying to figure out he pulls these stunts off.

Alternate Timelines

I'm finally buckling down to post our list of alternate timelines! As you guys know, our au focuses on a better ending for the residents of Gotham, but that doesn't mean that Fluffy and I haven't considered many other possible outcomes.

As a known example, Jo becoming Scarebeast is an alternate timeline.

To make this a bit easier, the alternate timelines are a bit like a tree branching out from the main timeline. So some alternate timelines have more branches.

#batsandriddles - Batman takes in Ed off the streets, so he works with him and the Joker

#harleybegood - (branch of villain!joker) Harley and Joker get to be girl-buddies

#detective!nigma - Ed gets to grow up with his grandma instead of his father, so he becomes a PI detective, antics ensue

#arkham! - nobody will go to Arkham normally, but this delves into the trauma of if they did

#best!timeline - although it's called the best timeline, it's not all fluff

#reverse!rogues - here, the roles are switched; where Batman and the Joker are the main antagonists, and the rogues are the ones who have to find a way to put a stop to their crimes

#juggerbat - when Bruce's parents were murdered, he was also shot, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. He's more ruthless and pessimistic with a tank of a batsuit

#medieval! - our au set in fantasy medieval times, mythical creatures, magic, and all

#vampire! - we've mostly focused on our favorite characters, but let's just say it's in the 1800-1900s and some of them are vampires and (at least one) is a werewolf

#furries! - the version where they're furries. Not much changes, just some more animalistic traits/scenarios

#wormnora - Nora Fries is a worm (a sentient worm on a string to be exact) that's all

#iceandriddles - instead of teaming up with Scarecrow, the Riddler teams up with Mr. Freeze

For day 6: Alternative Universe! It was so hard to decide on something for this because I had so many ideas omg, but in the end I wanted to try a PI Edward/detective Bruce (no superhero identities) AU where they keep crossing paths when the cases they’re working on become linked to each other somehow.

(I think if Bruce’s parents hadn’t been billionaires or left him a company to run he wouldn’t have had the resources to become Batman, but he still has the same fixation with their murder so he might have ended up just a regular detective instead? And without Batman Edward would never become Riddler either. Of course he still loves puzzles and has an extensive collection of question mark patterned ties though jsdjjsfsdf)

My "canon" one would be Katana/Geoforce/Owlman (aka Roy Raymond Jr). That run of the Outsiders was trash but GOD the OT3 possibilities... I have a few bits and pieces of a sex pollen/first time fic for them in my folders.

My other obscure ship would be Jason Blood/Bruce Wayne in the BTAS universe. There is one BTAS comic issue where they team up and GOD. I want them to fuck. I want Bruce to wreck Jason. Fun fact, Jason Blood ALSO has a tuff of white hair!

Okay, my "non-canon" ship would be Jack Ryder/Jeremiah Arkham in my PI Riddler AU. They were in a long-term relationship and Jack brutally disappeared when he became the Creeper, as he was unable to control his newfound powers. Jerry (as he only ever allowed Jack to call him) NEVER recovered from it. For years he didn't know what happened to Jack, if he was still alive, if something happened to him. He later found out that Jack left him voluntarily and that left a huge wound on his heart. They would end up reconnecting and coming back together though. ;)

SUPERGIRL AU --

‘Lane. The name followed Vi everywhere she went, every story she uncovered, every lead she investigated—Violet Lane had quite the shoes to fill. But she was not her cousin: Lois. Vi was a PI, not a reporter… and she may have unintentionally discovered a secret the world would kill to know.’

It all began on a Thursday evening. 

Vi was punching her way through stubborn henchmen refusing to drop a name. Taking on more than she could. They wore ski masks with spray painted question marks on them: Riddler’s men. 

More like fanboys waiting to be noticed. 

Vi had one in a headlock. Her right gloved right hand was sore, but she could keep doing this all night if she had to. Young children’s lives were at risk. She investigated the wrong (or right) firm and fell into a hole of inhumanity.

But all of this had a head to run it all.

“All I need is a hint of a name. And I’ll find him.”

A man on the ground was laughing maniacally. Before Vi could turn around and react her head exploded in pain. Her vision blurred. 

Vi grunted when another blow came down. And another—and another. “Argh!”

“Who’s the bitch now?” A man asked, sounding overly confident.

Vi spit out a mouth of blood before rolling onto her back, keeping her arms raised to block her face. “You are!"

The group of men began kicking her. One even grabbed her by the throat and hauled her up—hoping to get cheap shots to her face. Vi squeezed her eyes shut and braced herself for the blows—but they never came.

She heard distant sounds of struggling and rope swinging through the air. “You know,” A feminine voice called out from the alley. “...for someone who swears they’re only walking the streets of Gotham at night for a lead… you sure know how to get your hands dirty.”

You, Vi thought.

A sudden gust of wind blew on Vi and she slowly lowered her guard—opening her eyes. Supergirl was leaning against the opposite building. The men were tied up to the posts next to her.

Vi smirked, or she tried to, “Yeah, well—these assholes deserved it.” 

“I don’t doubt that.” Supergirl slowly approached Vi then hesitated. “Are you hurt?”

Vi winced when she tried to stand up straight. She shook her head. “Nothing a bag of frozen peas can’t solve.”

Supergirl held out her hand. “Let me take you to the hospital. There’s one close by,”

Vi grunted and began walking in the opposite direction. “I doubt my insurance covers this.”

Supergirl was floating close by. “Then let me take you home, Ms Lane.”

Vi gritted her teeth, hating that Supergirl knows where she lives… where she hides from authorities (dirty police officers and corrupt Commissioners.)

“I can walk.”

“It's a 15 mile walk."

"I need the fresh air."

"Gotham is heavily polluted." Supergirl smirked. She held out her hand for Vi to take. "It will be much quicker if you let take you home. Give me your hand."

“I hate flying.” Vi whispered. She hated the sympathetic look on the hero’s face. 

Supergirl slowly lowered herself until she was on even ground alongside Vi. “I’ll walk with you then. I’m not leaving you here alone.”

So fucking perfect, aren’t you? Vi refrained from an eye roll and took another step before feeling her legs give up—but she never fell. 

Supergirl had the most gentle and secure hold around her. Vi hated how much she missed it.

‘Are you alright?�� the most beautiful voice asked, ‘Ms Lane, can you hear me?’ Supergirl asked again, but Vi’s mind was drifting in and out of consciousness.

“I think I hit my head.” Vi heard herself whisper before she fell forward once again.

Her body felt weightless and the air was suddenly much colder on Vi’s face. Instinctively she reached out to hold onto something and found a strong arm.

‘Are you awake?’ The voice asked again. Fingers gently brushing the hair out of Vi’s face.

All Vi remembers seeing was the great expanse of the sky without the pollution hiding its brilliant sight. Followed by long blue hair (always perfect it seems), but it was those eyes that held Vi still.

“I love your eyes.” Vi heard herself once again. Though it felt dream-like.

She wasn’t sure why, but Vi felt like she'd seen those eyes before.

Thinking about writing an AU were Riddler starts his Private Investigator phase/ redemption arc because of Steph's influence during the time he is living with the Browns.

He just wakes up to pick a glass of water and sees this kid in the window weakly pretending to not be the daugther of the guy he is crashing with dressed in a costume maded out of the missing living room curtain and he is half sure it's the residual Arkham wrong medication in his blood for half a second. He knew Stephanie was planning something, he saw her costume sketches he just wasn't expecting her to follow trough. Her first reaction to the guy she knows is a supervilan looking at Spoiler and saying "I actually liked that curtain, Stephanie" is hit him in the face hard. He is a noisy dramatic bitch and Arthur Brown actually goes to chek what is going on. Now, Edward has no idea why he does that, but he just lies about hitting a cupboard and manuvers Arthur so Spoiler is out of his camp of vision.

After that he plans to just leave and let the Browns to their problems but instead he ends up helping Stephanie in her vigilante career. And yes it is mostly because Batman doesn't want her to be a hero and because he living with Arthur made he realise he actually kindda hates the man but hey no one said he had to be a good person.

While his bond with Stephanie and actual effective medication (pehaps therapy in the near future cause he really needs it) do make him want to stop being a villan he is still him, he is selfish and has a huuge dificulty emphatising with people and really wants to best Batman, but he is trying (just as he was as PI the first time before the reboot) his best.

On the other hand we have a Steph who is even more idealistic, she genuinally believes that Arthur can change and that people can change. After all if The Riddler can help why wouldn't Cluemaster? She also has better equipament for the start cause Edward's stolen donations to her cause.

Her partnership with an ex-rogue does make Bruce even more reluctant in making her a Robin. On the other hand Edward imput (mostly sarcastic coments full of distaste for Batman) would help her have more confidence in standing her ground more against Bruce's honestly very unfair treatment of her. This two points together could make or break Bruce and Stephanie's bond.

Her conexion with Riddler would also make Bruce even more neurotic and a strongly enforcer of his rule that Tim couldn't reveal his secret identity to her witch would lead to their break up in a quicker and waay more messy fashion and to a very slow building friendship. (Also is my AU so Cass is there at some point and they love each other).

Hmm, that's a good question...I guess most of my stuff with Dano Riddler, just cause I still can't get a grip on the guy and everytime I write for him there's a bunch of ups and downs of uncertainty.

And then there was my latest Arkhamver Jervis fic where I got so lost in the downhill of character development I almost forgot the smut rip

Oof I have a few. There were some headcanons for the Riddlers being refused a kiss from reader I've scrapped and a one shot with PI Riddler I scrapped I wanna get back to these eventually but I have so many requests not rip

There's also an idea for BTAS Jervis I wanna do but I doubt anyone would read it so it's scrapped.

Pregnancy tropes, and tropes with kids (I did it once for the funny ha ha's but yeah no not really my thing) or AU's I know technically writing certain characters in my own way or in my own time frames barely clinging to canon can be considered AU's in their own right but like...I don't know that's different compared to like an au with rules like a fantasy au or a soul mate au

I still am reluctant to nail down any kind of time frame for the comic story except sort of vaguely 70s for the flashbacks. When it comes to Edward and tech, that probably means I should look into radio tech etc.

(Also part of his job at the Gazette is being the only person who knows how to work the photocopier because he likes taking it apart and putting it back together)

Anyway, here Edward is in Early Riddler era, probably playing around with the electric grid in a moment of whimsy. Soon he will get punched in the face.

Another Motivation Monday - I know it’s been a few weeks since the last one, but life has gotten busy and plot bunnies have been multiplying, but I have time to do this one today!!!!!! Again it will be a mix of fic writers and fan artists!!!! First off, a shout out to @waistcoat35 and @wildenessat221b whose writing I’ve always enjoyed, especially their Good Omens fics, and who I look forward to reading more of once I finally get around to watching Ghosts. I also love @fezwearingjellybananas who writes some excellent DC fics including some great AUs of The Flash.

There is @littlecello who does some truly brilliant fanart of Endeavour and Life on Mars and I’m always so impressed because it’s amazing and yet another standard I’d love to get to. @talesfromthenorsesmouth does some great depictions of characters - I’ve always loved their Blake’s 7 fanart (even had one drawn for me a few years back), and I love what I’ve seen of their Riddler PI AU, which is already on my list of things to catch up on. @raineszramski also makes some good Blake’s 7 and Doctor Who fanart, and whose digital skills I’m really I’m really impressed by. @sonocomics creates some hilarious Mario, Zelda and Ace Attorney comics which always bring a smile to my face when I see them, and lastly @comickergirl, whose DC fan comics are fun to read (my favourite so far has been the Elseworlds one where Kara and Barry realise that Oliver would’ve been the one to take part in the musical episode in this reality and tease him about it).
