Yugi felt a bit nervous. He and Atem had tried new things plenty of times before, but this was a bit different in that it was...less intense. The two of them were hardly vanilla. They liked it rough and painful instead of gentle and sweet. There was plenty of time for that when they prepped and when they came down from the high. Plenty of time for kisses on the insides of wrists, fingers brushing over bodies to check for injuries, and cuddles and love and happiness.

So there he was, pulling off his clothes in a fluid motion, trying not to convey how nervous he was. But he knew Atem could tell. They could always tell. Such a sharp mind his partner had. He loved it, he didn't. He liked that Atem was so keyed in, but it made them hard to live with sometimes. Yugi loved his secrets and there was none of that with Atem.

"It'll be ok, Aibou," Atem called softly, holding their arms out. They wore nothing but a pair of boxers and a choker around their neck. Yugi finished his stripping and let himself fall into the embrace of his partner's arms, allowing the person to guide him to the position he needed to be in. One leg on either side of Atem's thigh, with his most sensitive area rubbing against it. The warmth of the skin made him sigh, tension releasing from his shoulders. "A bit better now, yes?"

"Yes," he purred. He let himself sink down onto the thigh, slowly testing how much of his weight Atem could take. All of it, it seemed. Not that Yugi was surprised - he had a such a small build that most people could hold his weight. "Hm, that's nice." He closed his eyes and rocked his hips, placing his hands over Atem's. It brought back memories of his first time, which was kind and reassuring and everything nice. Not Atem, but someone who had cherished him. That had been years ago. He'd forgotten what delicate sex was like. "We should do this more often maybe."

"Yes, we should. You look so..." They bumped their noses together, laughing softly. "Blissed. A different kind of blissed."

"Mhm." He angled his mouth up to capture Atem's in a kiss, and the two continued from there, with Yugi speeding up and pressing down at specific times to put pressure on his clitoris, and Atem just watching him, giving kisses and verbal support. Gods, Yugi loved them.

And the very next morning, they did it all over again, chasing that feeling of comfortable warmth.

Okay so I'm reading a pjo dark fic, Percy falls into tartarus without Annabeth, standard fare, it's really good, so I start to wonder about the spheres of power of each of his travelling companions (Bob and Damascus (+drakon)). Obviously both of them met percabeth in canon, else I wouldn't bring it up.

And I think there's something to be said for Percy Jackson, half blood, to befriend the titan of mortality and the giant of peace.

You ever think about how Yusei's duel with Ushio/Trudge in the first episode is very likely his first riding duel? I mean there aren't exactly that many d-wheels in Satellite after all (and it makes sense that he would comment on his lost speed counters when he lost 3000LP if he didn't know that happens)

a villain that sticks to their guns is so sick. darth maul exploits the mandalorian rite to earn the right to rule mandalore by combat knowing that force users are basically super soldiers, not to mention the changes his own body has gone throughout the years to beat the living shit out of pre viszla and on the verge of death my guy does not cower, he does not run, he says "like you said, only the strongest shall rule" as he gets his head cut off before death watch loyalists knowing full well that he doesnt agree with what maul and savage have planned for mandalore. while that shit was raw as hell, it wasnt just like a brainless action sequence, like most things in clone wars the character arcs are a lot more well-thought out than the prequels are without the cartoons suporting them.

I swear to god if I don’t make a short fancomic out of this, I’m gonna save it for characters in one of my own stories. I love when Mutou Yugi’s drawn with painted nails, and going off that headcanon, what if while he was redoing his own, Yugi once offered to paint Jonouchi's nails?

I'm sure he'd be all like Eh... eh??? ME??? at first cuz GNC/lowkey metal goth aint typically his thing, so he gets all flustered, but Yugi assures him it'll be fun, and sure enough, they do have fun with it. Yugi would mostly have black and berry-color polishes, but maybe he found a sea green that’d match what Jonouchi usually wears-- he forgot he how he picked it up that one time cuz the color reminded him of Timaeus.

Honda tries teasing Jonouchi about it when they see each other later, cuz they got major sibling energy and gotta tease each other about everything, but Jonouchi shuts him up real fast cuz His Best Bro made those nails all nice for him, so show some respect for the job he did!

Cut to trouble finding Jonouchi later and he gets all pissed off at the bad guy, not because they roughed him up a bit but because they messed up the special work Yugi took the time to do for him to give him a chance to enjoy trying something new! Cut forward again to Jonouchi apologizing that he couldn't keep his nails in perfect condition for long, but Yugi assures him it's okay, he can always redo them, no nail art lasts too long before it chips off anyway, and it honestly doesn’t matter to him compared to worrying for Jonouchi’s well-being.

Yes, I’ve basically already written out a short pre-DSOD fic trying to script out a storyboard to draw out later, they have a conversation between base coat and top coat applications trying-not-trying to talk about how they’re feeling and how Jonouchi’s proud of Yugi for coming into his own strength, no I have no problem with anyone else beating me to it if it gets the idea out there faster.
