Founded in 1953, Pollini is internationally acknowledged to represent the best tradition of Italian footwear and leather goods craftsmanship.   In 2003, introduction of prêt-à-porter product line, directed by Rifat Ozbek to improve international visibility and positioning  

Rıfat Özbek (born in 1953 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a fashion designer. He was named British Designer of the Year in 1988 and 1992. He moved to London in the 1970s and lived in his parents flat in Belgravia whilst he was studying Architecture and then Fashion at Saint Martin's School Of Art. In 1984 he established his own company, Ozbek (couture), and began to show his yearly collections in Milan and New York City, and more recently, in Paris. He established second line, O, renamed Future Ozbek (ready-to-wear) in 1987. After his last Spring/Summer 2001 collection, Özbek designed for Pollini brand between 2004 and 2008. After retiring from fashion world, Özbek moved back to Turkey and opened his cushion boutiques in Istanbul.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA WEARS VINTAGE RIFAT ÖZBEK FALL/WINTER 1995 FEATHER BLAZER AT LAX AIRPORT

On January 11, 2009 Lady Gaga was photographed at LAX airport in Los Angeles  heading to London to begin her press tour for her debut album “The Fame”. 

Gaga was clad in a head-to-toe black outfit which comprised this vintage blazer from Turkish designer Rifat Özbek’s Fall/Winter 1995 collection.

The black blazer features unique gloved sleeves, feather-embellished shoulders, slit pockets and peak lapels. A dress version was also made.

Her eyewear of choice are the iconic signature Versace 676 brown tortoiseshell & gold metal shield sunglasses.

Gaga’s Maranello V8 Lady Diamonds chronograph watch featuring diamond indicators was gifted to her by Akon.

Gaga also had 2 different bags with her. The first one is the Gucci Carry on large monogram canvas duffle bag with signature red & green striped handles.

The other bag is her Saint Laurent’s black patent Muse handbag with gold-tone hardware.

Her Chanel Spring/Summer 2008 black leather pumps with gold-tone double C logo split heels completed the look.
