I'm thinking about Riley and them knowing Rebecca.

We know Kate and Sam were friends or at least friendly. (Kate promoted Amanda the Adventurer a lot, we at least know that.) So, HC that young Riley played with Rebecca when they visited Kate, until Sam disappeared. Riley and Rebecca still hung out, but a lot less because Rebecca was busy with Amanda until one day...

I kinda like to think Riley and Kate are of Korean descent, if only because of the last name. I know it's just as likely they could be of any other race, but still. We don't really know what they look like, so it could be just as likely they could be Korean American. Hell, Riley could be mixed race for all we know.

-Elaborating on the Rebecca Colton theory part 2/?: Kate and Riley-

Now, where do Kate and Riley fit into all of this? The only things we know about Kate that we learn throughout the game is that she worked as a librarian who also did some occult investigations on the side, specifically with the Amanda the Adventurer incidents. As far as we know, there have been a few (2 at least) incidents where kids have vanished into thin air while/after watching the show. We also know that Kate encouraged people to watch the show before it was turned into a cartoon, as Sam mentioned in one of the secret tapes that she brought it up at her storytimes and credits her to some of the success of the show.

From this, I think it's safe to assume that Amanda the Adventurer was a VERY local project started by Sam Colton in the late 90s/early 2000s. He also refers to Kate in a friendly way, which makes me believe that Kensdale, which is where her house is, is a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other. This is another reason why it would be suspicious for Hameln to get rid of Rebecca right after Sam disappeared as it made news headlines.

Now for Riley. We know that Kate is their aunt, and that's about it for them. Judging by Kate's letter at the beginning of the game, I feel it's safe to assume that Riley shares their aunt's interest in the occult. We can also infer that Riley is at least an adult because there's no way in hell that they would be able to get the house if they were under 18. Like I said, not much to go off of. However, considering that when we see Rebecca in the security tape which is in 2002, I could safely assume that Riley and Rebecca are close in age, if not the same age. In the second tape, Rebecca looks to be around 7-8. If we use the current year(2023), that would make Rebecca around 29.

wooly's mexican in my AU, he born in the country but he grown up all his life and has the US nationality, I think he can be considered chicano too (?) He can speak Spanish and English perfectly 👌

El otro pendejo (me vale madres el fandom, para mí y es hombre y se friegan). Mi versión de Riley es coreana-estadounidense, tiene actualmente unos 28 años más o menos, de personalidad extrovertida, alegre e hiperactiva, súper distraído y pareciendo de poca empatía, pero todo lo contrario, es muy cursi y considerado jaja.

Dentro de mi AU normal, fue compañero de generación de Amanda y Wooly al tener más o menos su misma edad. Estaban en Yale pero en diferentes carreras (Amanda en medicina, Wooly en derecho y Riley en enfermería). Wooly le tenía celos porque le ponía triste pensar que Amanda preferiría estar con Riley por ser un humano como ella, y no con un híbrido de humano y oveja.

Siento que también Riley es bien miedosito y que cada que ponía una nueva cinta la andaba pausando a cada rato o ya de plano no las veía jajaja.

In the AU where they are free from Hamlen and normal people, he was a generationmate of Amanda and Wooly being more or less their same age. They were at Yale but in different majors (Amanda in medicine, Wooly in law, and Riley in nursing). Wooly was jealous of him because it made him sad to think that Amanda would rather be with Riley (because he is a human like her) and not with Wooly, who is a human-sheep hybrid.

I feel that Riley is also very scared and that every time he played a new tape he paused it all the time or he didn't watch it at all hahaha.

Y....ya, jajajaja, no me funen, otra vez.
