"Cameras rolling in—"
The camera crew were finishing the set up in the background, the makeup stylists were adding their additional touches and you only had a few seconds to mentally prepare for your filming.
"Three, two …. !"
Snap.
"Hi! My name is Y/N, better known as H/N!"
"And I'm Bakugo Katsuki, also known as Dynamight."
"And we are here with WIRED to answer the web's most searched questions!" You two finished the cut unanimously.
The camera cuts to you as you turn to him with a nervous jitter, still with the joyful appearance you always kept. "I'm pretty nervous, people are wild these days."
H/N.
A hero that represented what it means to be a young, headstrong role model. A hero that was from a country outside of Japan whom Bakugo was immediately infatuated with upon first meeting.
L/N.
His interest in your last name marked your own culture, despite being foreign to him. The name you didn't say as you introduced yourself to the camera.
Y/N.
Your first name that he is always itching to say, practicing day and night how it'd finally roll off his tongue when you two could get to that stage. Today seemed to be that day.
You two had been paired up as a duo for about over a year now for some hero promotions and the chemistry between you two had been gradually growing. Indeed, you did not speak much as you had initially expressed not being confident in your Japanese abilities when you moved to Japan, but he is deeply impressed by your determination to continue learning the language.
"Oh! The boards are in English, I might excel in this." You joke, towards the camera.
"You excel in a lot of things, H/N/N." Bakugo promptly responds and he's just as quick to move on after he pulls up the cardboard and tilts it to the side, ready to officially start the interview off. Your lips purse together as you swallow the budging feeling to crack a smile at the personal nickname. Bakugo always had a knack for nicknaming people, but hearing yours out loud in front of everyone else gave you an entirely different feeling. One you couldn't place.
"Who is in…?" The blonde-haired male tilts the board as he reads it, proving his dexterity as he also rips the label off to reveal the rest of the first search. You could tell he was struggling a bit and you move your head to read it as well.
"Firecracker," You finish off with a smile, sitting closer to the edge of your seat as you look at it. "Although we just introduced ourselves, I'm sure we can spruce it up a little?"
Bakugo takes the initiative with a subtle nod, using his other hand to gesture to you as he introduces you for the repetitive round of introduction.
"This is, Y/N or "better known as" H/N. One of, maybe, only heroes I can tolerate."
You can't help but laugh at his rendition, nodding your head as you adjust yourself in your seat. "The honesty, wow! We have, uh," You turn more to your side, looking him up and down before looking into his eyes. "Lord Explosion Murder: Dynamight? But you may know him as just Katsuki." You look back at the cameras as you finish, a bit of sass as you conclude.
Katsuki.
The way you said it just sounds so much better than when anyone else says it.
An unexpected chuckle comes from him as he teases you back. "I think I liked my intro better than yours." He rips off the next label and turns the board for you to read.
"Who in Firecracker got their quirk first? " You hum and look up at him, face full of concentration now. Bakugo's gaze is completely focused on your face as you go into deep thought, scarlet eyes taking in your change of expressions. His gaze follows your body and takes in the details of your outfit, the volume in your hair, and the way that the makeup stylist (fortunately) did you justice that properly accentuated everything beautiful about your skin tone and features.
Bakugo was starting to like everything about you, and he was starting to crush hard.
"I think I got mine in, uh…" You roll your eyes to the right as you look back at the camera, perking up as it comes to you. "I guess at five years old… you guys would call it during yōchien. For me it's called, "G/S". How about you, Katsuki?"
He's smug in response, puffing up his chest as he looks into the camera with pure arrogance. "Four years old. That means I win this question."
"I didn't know we were competing." You joke back.
He soon peels off the last question for the section, turning the board to him to keep it to himself. "I want to read it."
"Oh, okay…"
"Who is the strongest in Firecracker? " Before he's finished with the question you're already grinning and pointing towards Bakugo. He scoffs and rolls his eyes, throwing the bit of paper on the floor and adjusting himself in his seat, his demeanor flustered if you were paying close attention to him.
"We're both fuckin' strong. Give yourself more credit."
You double-blink as you try to rack something up to say. Bakugo has never complimented you before—at least nothing more than "good work today" or a "nice job out there" or something along the lines of that. You did notice lately he's been more communicative with you, but you chalked it up to the fact that maybe he can tolerate you more now with the fact your Japanese is getting better. Still, you had no compass or direction to tell what he was feeling at any given moment.
To your rescue, an exasperated callout comes from behind the cameras, making you laugh out as well as the camera crew behind the director.
"Watch the potty mouth, Bakugo-kun!"
You give Bakugo's shoulder a light push, immediately going to grab the next board for a visual excuse for your nervous fiddling. "We both know how incredible your strength is! I'm being real."

The rest of the recording went pretty well, and the chemistry between you two was undeniable. It seemed as though the longer the shoot went, the more comfortable you two got with each other. It hadn't hit you until now that you and him never really talked before.
Of course, it's not like you two ignored each other, no, that wasn't the case. But finding out things like what his favorite meal is during a movie, or why he loved hiking so much made you want to learn more about him. He is also much funnier than you had thought.
You were pretty aware of the rabid fanbase that followed him consistently. The fan edits, the stans, the ones who truly believed they were going to marry the young man. The thought made you cringe as you thought back on your first reaction upon hearing that you two were being paired together for this joint project.
Tumblr media
"This will be a great opportunity to reach a further fanbase across the globe in countries that love to support their favorite superheroes!" Your manager exclaimed in excitement before wiggling her brows as she nudged you. "And by support, you know what I mean…"
"Financially?" You finished her sentence, an uninterested look on your features.
"Yes! This will be such a big break for you. Think about it -- they see you paired with one of their top heroes. One, they'll think you can keep up with him. Two, this is an opportunity to grow your exposure as a fairly new hero on the scene. But third, and most importantly the country relations." She looked at you with a serious look this time, her gaze strong.
You scoffed at the implications of the "perks". You were sitting still in the comfort of your manager's old office, your unmoving reaction giving her an insight into how you had truly felt.
"Look, I know you like to be on that 'I can do this myself' tirade, but this will look great. For both of you."
"But at the expense of me though," You crossed your arms and looked down at your feet as you couldn't help but feel blindsided. "I mean, you didn't even ask me. I have never been to Japan, and I don't even know this dude. He could be a fucking creep for all I know!"
"Y/N." She said it as a warning for your tone. She sighs and softens up a bit, but still maintains her composure. "This is something that could be good for you. Think about the titles, the awards, hell even the recognition. Isn't that what you want?"
Not when it sounds like that, no. You didn't become a hero and train this much for the fame of it. You weren't an idiot, and you knew that part of the job is to get your face out there. But a part of you feared that you could become a person who would only go for things that will look good without actually doing the part.
"Do you seriously think you'll be some big-shot hero while staying a nobody in here? We need to expand."
You scoffed at her wording, eyes flickering up to look at her in offense. "So you think I can't be successful on my own?"
"Y/N-"
"I get that there isn't much of a demand here, but I feel as though I am fulfilling my duties. I don't need to be famous to make an impact. I like it here."
"You aren't thinking long term. There simply isn't enough demand, and that has to change. I know it's hard but you have to trust me." She reached across the desk to hand you the papers, the gesture not received on your end.
Sasha called out your name as you muttered a dismissal from the meeting. You stood up as you gathered your stuff from her desk, packing up the discarded papers and other supplies. You knew you were being dramatic, but rightfully so. This was never discussed, nor did you ever think you would have to live in a foreign place. It was so painfully random and left field that you couldn't help but feel slighted that such a big decision was already made for you. Especially where foreigners weren't exactly welcomed and that thought alone made you nervous.
That night was hazy if you remember correctly. You didn't have anything to attend to, you just wanted out. You were worried sick about this new endeavor. You would have to say goodbye to everything you had built at home. The community, the friends, the experiences. All for this opportunity. You were an emotional mess and honestly, as you cringe thinking about it now, it wasn't that serious but it sure felt like it. You were only given a year to brace yourself for the inevitable, train, say goodbye to the people you were used to seeing every day, and on top of that, learn a whole new fucking language.
One thing you did remember correctly though was your manager calling you to check up. When it had slipped up that you were currently out drinking and sad about yourself, she hopped in her car and immediately came to your rescue to pick you up before you could do something stupid. The car ride was silent as she didn't want to chew you out then and make you feel any worse than you already did. When the time was right, she had thought up something to say. It was her words that stuck with you that made you start to reconsider this business decision.
"Listen, if I told you, I know that you would say no," Sasha said as she held your hand, voice softer than ever. "But I know you deserve better and bigger than this." She sits up a bit in her chair that sat on the side of your bed and properly tucked your hair back into your hair cover. "It's not because I don't think you're incapable. It's because I know you would stay here in this small town without growing and staying in your ways."
"But I like it here… I like the people. My family is here… the community needs me…" Your voice cracked at the end as tears started to spill from your eyes. "I can't just leave. it's more than the accolades, the fame. I want to make a change and I c-can't do that if I'm not here."
She hums as she brings you in for a hug, a twinge of hurt coming from her. Sasha felt awful seeing you like this, and she was aware that even when in her best intentions her decisions could be harsh. Even if she wanted nothing but to see you succeed, she wanted you to be happy too.
"Listen," She starts as she wipes your tears. "We'll figure something out, okay? You won't be abandoning this place. If I can secure a deal like this, I'm sure I can sway some more from the company to get you happy. Alright?"
You meekly nod, your overflow of emotions never stopping as you can't calm yourself. You were too destroyed to come around to the idea. You were terrified of the turn of options and all the drinking you did that night did not help one bit. You are so used to being well-liked, what would the world offer when you change from a small hero in your H/T to a big international one? To what lengths did you have to keep giving yourself up to make the higher-ups happy? Were you in over your head choosing this path?
These questions were justified, but it all came back to the same common theme: boxing yourself in. If you didn't want to do this, you would've called it quits long ago. But here you were, and even with all the villains you've taken down, this seemed scarier. Nothing is more frightening than putting yourself somewhere you are emotionally vulnerable. And for the lack of a better word, alone.
You'd have to start again, meet new people, start a new routine. How would you be able to adapt?
"You'll have a year and some change before you go over. I've already been scouting for the best Japanese tutors out there." She pulled back when it seemed as though your sobbing had subsided and she smiled. "I'll get you the best of the best and I'll be damned if you're not taken care of."
You nodded wordlessly and wiped the tears from your cheeks. She handed you your water bottle once you sit up, a hand on your back for support.
"So think about it, please. I know it's scary to think about, but this can help you. Seriously." She stands up and tidies up the area before gathering her stuff. "And you won't be alone, remember that."
She smiles before closing your bedroom door leaving you to your muddled thoughts.

Later on, it was revealed that your pairing would have the "organic" formation. You two would be put together for a few big missions and soon enough when the public would notice, that's when the process of being in a semi-duo would take effect. Your manager made sure to stress how it was important the two of you kept your individual identities to cover all basis. No fan will be completely pushed out of their comfort zone while you two could rely on each other when the job needed it. The other part of the deal was that you would be able to work almost more than half of the year in Japan whilst being able to use the other days to visit back to your country and most importantly your home town.
It was a win-win and you couldn't thank Sasha any more than you did when she relayed the news. When recounting it, you can vividly remember the amount of relief that washed over you to the point it made you emotional again. The feeling of embarrassment had also risen to the surface and you profusely apologized about the prior outbursts to the initial news. In manager fashion, she hushed you before reassuring you that it was her job to get her client right and out there. If you didn't have her, you honestly weren't sure where you'd be right now.
But unfortunately, the things you overthought about weren't exactly wrong either. Most of the things that popped up in your head had come to fruition, some worse than others. Being in a duo with a male counterpart was rough. Especially if he was hot young and (seemingly) a bachelor. People didn't like to see their fave with the opposite sex who seemed to be of that same description with the added addition that they don't come from the same background as well.
Recently after the WIRED interview, the fans were starting to come along to the idea much more than it seemed. Many more positive comments were starting to pop up online and now the public perception of your pairing was really starting to kick off.
There was a mixture of comments that ranged from, "Wow! They look so cute together" "You have to admit they do get the job done" to "I fucking hate XYZ" and we don't need to address the vulgar ones…
Of course, at first, you use to read those comments for hours. You'd be stuck on an unhealthy loop, emotions from high to low as it seemed there was never a day that didn't have all kinds of comments and interactions. Some days are better than others, and some days you'd have to force yourself to log off and do other things in your life. But all in all, the interview seemed to be a hit so now both your agencies are scrambling to book more to boost engagement.
You sigh as you stretch out onto your couch, thinking about how two years have been both hell and a blessing. You stare up at your ceiling as your phone locks, setting it on your coffee table.
The idea to message Sasha as you recounted past and recent memories started to poke at you. You still hesitate on the action though considering the fact you know she's always busy with her schedule. You feel a buzz and you pick up your phone, the text catching your attention.

I've got a client I want you to get closer with.
Management says it'll be good for you to get more acquainted with the heroes here. You might actually like her.

You hum in curiosity, thinking about it a bit before replying.
You
who is it?

Chat bubbles pop up on your screen and you watch as she types up her response. Today you were taking a very much-needed break for the week and you weren't too sure if you wanted to go out and do some crazy amount of networking.
Sasha-Sama 👯‍♀️
Mina and a few others are in the top 10 for Japan.
You may have met her already, at those galas a few times.
[✓] Sent 13:47.
Your brows quirk up at the name. You're quick to open Instagram, wanting to see a more personal image of her than the one you would see from a search engine.
Oh.
Yeah, you remembered her. She was lively for sure and everyone around her seemed to like her as well. Her page was a mix of official posts and personal ones, perfectly balancing out professional and niche drives to curate an audience. There were even a few posts that were shitposts too.
You were intrigued. Now that you thought about it, you didn't have any friends here… like at all. You spent most of your time focused on work, and if not that, then interacting with your fans in person and online. When you weren't doing either of those things, you were studying Japanese. Surely the studying paid off though with the additional advantage of living in the environment to grasp the content. One could even call your behavior shut-in, but could you blame yourself? Even with your determination to get yourself out there, it was hard. You were still trying to adjust to all of this, and you haven't hit your time mark to visit home just yet. Hell, you can't even remember the last time you got laid.
Your phone dinging catches your attention again and you realize that you hadn't got back to your manager yet.
Sasha-Sama 👯‍♀️
So is it a yes? I will be forwarding your number to her.

You think a bit before coming to a decision but you need a bit more info first.
You
yes for now, but who else will be there?
you mentioned something about a few others.

Well, I know that Bakugo will be there, but I am not sure who the other people are. Just got in that it's actually not just the top 10, just a few other heroes around the province as well.
[✓] Sent 14:02.
You hesitate at the information on your screen. Bakugo is going to be there? You're not sure why, but a sense of anxiousness starts to flood you as you start to think about him in such a casual setting. You blink a few times as you rub your forehead, now starting to rethink your decisions.
Sasha-Sama 👯‍♀️
Y/N, you will be fine. I'm sending a car to pick you up at 18:30. Wear something… "cunty" and cute. There might be paps there so look good pls. 👀

You groan loudly at her text and almost want to throw your phone. Is she for real? Even when you need to go out to meet people, it's still about your image. You wanted to text her your thoughts, but a better part of you knows that this outing is probably for your good. You just hoped that these people weren't controversial and this wouldn't be hard work to clean up anything that comes along with their bullshit. You doubted the idea as you remember how much your agency wants to push you to the public. Anything that could be a blip in your appearance was always scrapped and replaced. They were your last safety net to coast safely in this whole hero-ing thing if you were being honest.
You
Sasha… 😐
"cunty"??? PLEASE.

You jokingly send a thumbs down in retaliation to her message, albeit hearting the message as you know she means well. Turning your head to the side, you find yourself staring back at your TV's black mirror. You still had a lot of time left so you decided to at least start prepping for the evening ahead of time.
To prevent the inevitable disruption of hunger, you make your way into the kitchen and decide to get something to eat. You prepare leftover protein to eat with noodles that you've wanted to try all week. It's like when you think of mixing a food combo but take forever to put it into fruition. In anticipation of your ingenious meal, you eagerly await its arrival as the smell taunts you as you wait.
Once it's done you are in no rush to scarf down your food. You even sit down at one of the high chairs on your island with a half-awake presence. It was no surprise that you woke up late today due to the fatigue that comes along with being a pro-heroin. You couldn't even recount the last time you sat down and ate a meal like this. Back in the day (why did you age yourself like that?) when you were in, H/T, you always had enough time to do everything. To experience everything. Yes, you felt blessed to be here even with how hard it's been, but to be able to just sit and relax was a whole new feeling of euphoria you haven't felt in a while. The feeling was pretty nice.
You scoff as you try to think about how things can change so fast. As you blankly stare at your surroundings, you map out the different things you should get to make your penthouse more "homey". It was a very nice and very, very, very expensive place. One that you were definitely not paying for yourself, one that your company took the liberty to do. You have only been able to get the basic things you need for a living space, and only some decorations to truly make it yours. Hell, you even had more clothes than furniture and dishes combined. But that was thanks to sponsors and of course, having to properly ration your paychecks. You had to admit your living space being taken care of for you was an immense help to begin with so you didn't want to complain too much.
Your phone buzzing on the couch successfully gains your attention and you can't help but sigh in annoyance. One thing to also note about being in Japan is that you were practically on call all the time. There was a reason you couldn't leave your phone on silent. You finish up your current bite before hopping down from your chair and trudging your way to your device. You light up upon the contact on your screen. It's an unknown number but the person messaging you makes themselves known in their message.
XXX-XXX-XXXX
hiya! this is Mina!! heard you were coming out with me tonight! 🤟

Your heart flutters as you receive the compliment, a giddy grin spreading across your lips as you get more eager to contact her.

[->] Sent 14:42.
Your thumbs hover over your screen as you try to think of something else to say, not wanting the conversation to die so fast. She hasn't seen your message yet and hopes something comes out of this interaction. Deciding not to stress about it too much, you resume finishing your meal.
So many thoughts run through your mind as you try to prepare yourself for tonight. Even in your hometown, you didn't frequent clubs or bars often, especially not with well-established individuals your age either. It seemed as though Mina was nice enough but you had to factor in the fact Bakugo was going to be there. Then it was also the added stress that other people you didn't even know would be there as well.
You still have no real idea of Bakugo. He seemed pretty reserved, almost goody-two-shoes-like. But honestly, you're sure you gave off the same image as well. Something about him just gave… in the clean. Saying innocent felt like a stretch but you were starting to lean towards that with his mostly clean record. But that could easily be attributed to the fact there was no doubt his agency was probably paying out-of-pocket to keep the shit he does on the low. Maybe you should take it upon yourself to look into him…
Amid your inner thinking, you had decided to clean up the kitchen after your brunch. Having just finished eating, you are now cleaning your dishes. Some dishes were left in the sink and strewn about, but the place thankfully wasn't a pigsty. You rest your hands on the edge of the sink, thinking about the many ways tonight can go before reminding yourself that any time you have tried to predict the future, shit has always gone left field. You hum as you shut the tap water off when you finish and push off the sink to find a towel to dry your hands with. You make your way back to your phone and sit down on one of the high-up chairs as you check your phone.
Mina
this is sort of sudden, but do you want to go shopping with me tonight? figured you don't have that many friends anyways
we can get to know each other!

"Hey!" Mina calls out from her car as soon as the windows are rolled down. "You are so much cuter in person!" She unlocks her doors and gives you a wink as you bashfully laugh at her friendly flirting.
"Thank you, you too." You smile as you get in and adjust yourself. You look around as you get settled and admire the layout. You still have yet to get your license and being driven around could sometimes get tiring.
"I was thinking that we should go to that new store in that big shopping district mall in the district. They usually have cute stuff on sale there." Mina suggests. She expertly pulls off and looks over at you with a grin before reaching over to playfully nudge you. "No need to be so tense around me! I totally get you are probably really nervous. Don't worry, I can get you hooked up." She smirks as she looks back at the road, giving you a small glance before she finishes her thought. "In more ways than one…"
"A-Ah, I'm not too sure about that one." You nervously laugh. "If I'm being honest I haven't done anything at all since I've been here… especially, that."
With the gasp she let out, you would think that you just told her you work for the League of Villains. As she reaches a red light she looks over at you with a shocked look, completely flabbergasted at your admission.
"Are you serious?!"
"Completely."
"Not even joking?"
"I am so serious."
"...how?" She looks away completely in silence and scoffs. "Doesn't matter anyways, we'll get you laid in no time~"
You chuckle at her determination and shake your head. "To be honest I'm not really in the mood for that stuff… I kind of like being by myself. It's way less stressful."
"Well, no one said you have to be committed. A little fun once in a while doesn't hurt."
You hum in agreement and rest your arm on the armrest. Mina wasn't completely wrong, but you were totally out of the loop by now. You had to leave behind all of your suitors and sneaky links in H/T. Even then you were too busy with work. There were moments when you wanted to get out there for some sort of excitement to ease your boredom, but nothing ever came of it. Your desire to relinquish your needs always ends with you, your toys, and your imagination. A bit devastating if you think about it too hard.
The bustling shopping district Nina talked about isn't too far from your place and you have also learned that Mina lived pretty close to you as well. There are so many people moving about; lots of people doing their things and plenty who seemed to recognize you both. Luckily, she knew of some ways to avoid crowds.
By the time you two had made it to the mall, basically half an hour and then some had passed. Mina sucked her teeth as she looked at her phone to check the time, her manicured nails tapping against the screen as she spoke to you.
"Ah, who cares? The place is pretty laid back. Being a little late might make you look cooler."
Mina had persuaded you to stop by her favorite boba cafe near the newly opened stores. And surely after reassuring you a bit, she had convinced you to let her take care of the spending for today (although you decided in your head that you'd pay her back).
She grins at you as she finally puts her phone away to look at the menu board. You watch as she effortlessly orders her usual at the kiosk. You attempted to keep up with her movements but it proved to be a difficult task. This pink-haired girl was much more assertive and bold than you thought she would be. Everything she did was done with such confidence and carefree energy that you felt mesmerized by how she carried herself. Though her bluntness did shock you a bit from time to time. The way she talks to you is like you two have known each other for years instead of the fact you two have only greeted each other in passing at formal events. It was her unique sense of being a girl's-girl that made it much easier to get more comfortable with her.
The wait for the drinks doesn't take that long and soon enough you two are on your way to the clothing store. You admired everywhere around and swore to yourself to go out more often. You hadn't realized all the cool stuff you had been missing by just focusing on furthering your career. You were pretty amazed at how the store you were visiting occupied two whole floors, with another giant store on top of it as well.
You and Mina were separate in the store since you two were looking for different things. You were looking for a new pair of bottoms while she looked for accessories on the floor below. You mindlessly sifted through the clothes on the racks not sure what you were looking for specifically. Periodically you'd look out the window and admire the view outside, the day's sky shifting to a more dreamy sunset tone. The music you couldn't recognize softly played in the background, but the ambiance of the 2000-early 2010s feel certainly encapsulated the store.
You find yourself humming softly to the tunes though, a bit shocked that you could understand some of it. Some songs and artists you could recognize while some seemed to be either Japanese or from a different place entirely. As you paid half attention to the clothes while the other half tried listening to the music, the next artist that comes in makes you stop. You're unmoving in your spot and look around as you listen closely, a smile spreading across your lips as the tune properly makes its way to your ears.
It was a song from J. Cole and shockingly enough it was uncensored too. You lightly laugh to yourself as they tend to do this, playing foreign songs with the cuss words on full blast without a care in the world. You couldn't quite place your finger on which song it was though and it seemed as though the song was about to finish anyways.
Soon enough you can find a pair of pants that would suit the outfit and idea you had in mind have half a mind to try it on. You find your way through the options as the song unfolds, looking at the different clothes on your way to the dressing rooms. You softly hum along to the song although making sure not to be too loud. Lord knows you already stick out like a sore thumb, but god, you did love a good J. Cole song.
As the unnamed song comes to a finish, you are on your way to find the dressing rooms. A courteous attendant asks normal customer service questions before leaving you to be in your presence. It's not long before the next song plays and it so happens to be another J. Cole song, except you knew this song very well.
You breathe out a laugh as the intro starts to play and you have to keep your excitement in. You could hear the song much clearer in this section as it was more closed in than the rest of the other area. Despite the music being clearer now, the faint chatter around did indicate you were not alone, and many people liked this store as well.
'note to self: find the furthest stall to avoid any confrontation with anyone else.' You thought to yourself and continued your venture to the furthest spot.
By the time you had made it to the back, it seemed like there was one last stall at the end of the hall. At first glance, it seemed as though it was empty, but as you grew close, you noticed the door was ajar. You had half a mind to barge in but what you saw in the changing room made you freeze.
A familiar tuff of blonde hair and a toned figure dawning in a dark green tank that complimented his tan skin caught your eye. Your gaze followed the chain that adorned his masculine neck, his strong shoulders were next to fall into view, and his well-defined back that his shirt that perfectly molded to his skin was last. You could see he was hunched over in a position that didn't seem as though he was trying something on, but still moving nonetheless. A soft gasp that's immediately hushed makes you look up and your eyes widen. The sound was way too feminine, and it certainly was not from you. Another noise makes you squint, trying to see what was going on.
"Stop teasing me," She whispers to him and that's when you finally realize what the hell was going on.
Before you could turn around a pair of eyes makes contact with yours through the reflection of the mirror and you suck in a quiet breath at the fact now you have been caught. The reflection of his deep scarlet eyes showed no direct emotion and you couldn't read what he was feeling, much less thinking. His movements continued without faltering though and another soft sound of encouragement followed his actions. One thing was clear and there was no mistaking it: you could see him and Bakugo could see you. You know that you should leave. However, now you are dangerously curious and confused. The worst part is that you were frozen in shock.
Prettily manicured fingers lightly glide over his shoulders and trace his tanned skin before finding its way to lose itself in his hair. You could hear her question what he was looking at before guiding him to pay his full attention to her once again. It's when he breaks eye contact you can finally break out of your trance.
It was at that moment that the song over speakers reached your ears again and the irony that hangs through the air is almost laughable. No longer wanting any part in listening or seeing this go down, you swiftly turn around and walk away pretending nothing happened in the hope to find the furthest stall away from him.
When you find a stall you immediately close the door and throw the store's clothes onto the side. You rub your temples and close your eyes, another sigh leaving your lips for the millionth time today. Much to your dismay, closing your eyes didn't ease the impending headache that was about to hit, nor did it halt the memory of what you just witnessed. Your mind only brought the visualization of what you just saw to the forefront. You purse your lips as it didn't help that her voice accompanied the memory.
'it started off real innocent my ass.' You thought to yourself as that part of the song over the speakers made its way to your ears. When you open your eyes you're met with your reflection in two mirrors and have no other choice but to look at yourself. You felt like you were going crazy and rightfully so! You weren't innocent yourself, no, but have some damn grace. To be so careless like that, you're starting to realize that the coworker you thought you had a general idea of is way off.
But what did this make you? You stood there and watched them. Not for long, but long enough. Long enough that he saw you. Bakugo knew you were standing there and didn't do anything about it. At first, you thought that his expression was unreadable, but the more you thought about it, you had completely missed the challenging look in his eyes.
The piercing look of instigation with a hint of his curiosity. It was as if it was a look of provocation. As if… beckoning you to try something. Or are you desperately trying to justify why you watched two people doing lewd acts to each other while you just stood there in shock? One of them being your partner in fighting against crime.
You harshly scoff and turn around to avoid looking at yourself to hopefully put off letting it run through your head any longer. You start to strip your clothes off and face the door as you get undressed. As your mind starts to clear, you hear the song playing over the speakers and can't help but humorlessly laugh at the fact the song was about to finish. It had only been what? Almost four minutes and this whole thing had you in shambles. It would've been easier to handle if you didn't have to see him so soon—as in literally a couple of hours—but nope, your dumbass decided to go out today. To, "network". To have fun.
After finishing your haul you have long forgotten any songs playing over the speaker and now you just wanted to leave this store without encountering those two ever again, actually. Unfortunately, never seeing them again isn't an option, and making sure not to cross paths with them for now will be quite the challenge.
You slam the door open and accidentally startle the other shoppers due to your outburst. While apologizing profusely you hear a familiar voice call out to you, a wave of relief hitting over you once you realize it's Mina.
"Ready to check out?" Mina asks, completely unaware of what just happened. You wordlessly nod your head as you follow behind her, ready to get out of this place as fast as possible.
                     — ✮ ★ ☆ —
The club's music did not disappoint. Admittedly, you have been to a few clubs here and there that completely sucked. Like… really bad. The clubbing scene is totally different and it was clear that the culture here was adversely opposite of what you were used to. Not to say that every club you went to back in H/T was spectacular, but you could at least anticipate people having a ball and throwing ass. Consequently, you were pleasantly surprised by the one you were invited to since you chalked it up to cultural differences. However, it may have just been that you needed to find places that worked for you.
As aforementioned, you and Mina did end up arriving late but it seemed as though many of the other people in your party were milling about and having fun anyways to pay attention to that fact. You met a few others that your manager had briefly mentioned and had the pleasure to meet.
The first was Momo, a hero that had lots of prestige and was very kind. She often modeled but did other charity work as well. She had offered to put in a good word for you as she deeply admired your beauty. The next was another woman, Hagakure. You had heard about her before, and somehow her outgoing presence and energy rivaled Mina's. The downside though you knew to keep your distance since she seemed a lot more.. chaotic which is why you had already known about her prior.
Then there were the other guys there. Denki who was practically Mina's partner in crime, and another one whose name is Sero. He was pretty chill, not going to lie pretty cute too. He had a level of nonchalant charm that had you intrigued. The top hero of the country who everyone knew and loved was also rumored to make an appearance, but Sero advised you not to hold your breath. It was a whole workaround just to get the top three heroes in a public setting like this even when they could find refuge in the V.I.P section such as this one. It was a miracle that the second top hero—Dynamight A.K.A Bakugo Katsuki—was in attendance that night as well. Women and even men were always trying to find opportunities to throw themselves onto their desired hero, hoping that they'll be, "the one". The thought always made you laugh at the insanity of it all. Throughout the interaction, you did find yourself swayed to chat it up with him. He seemed sweet and Sero was honestly a calm breath of fresh air compared to the vibrant personalities that you have met so far. Even with how well you two were kicking it off, it did feel like something was looming around. Almost as if someone was watching you.
You assumed that you'd be safe on the terrace as there were a handful of people out there too. When you looked around you couldn't see anyone, and it seemed as though everyone was doing their own thing and partying. You're not sure how but at a certain point you two had gotten closer in distance, thighs touching and personal space becoming slim. You'd lean into his ear so he could "hear you better", his calloused hand resting on your knee that touched his and you had to admit that you didn't want it to stop. The small amount of liquid courage was making this easier for you. The alcohol gave you a level of confidence that made your words have a lighthearted cadence to them, much more fluid than when you are sober and worrying if your vocabulary is fluent and with the trends.
"D'you wanna dance?" Sero proposed. There was a playful grin on your face and you were more than welcome to oblige.
"I'd love to."
Both of your bodies are close and you can feel his strong hands on your hips. There is no space in between and there was no mistaking that you could feel his,,, friend down there. But you welcomed it. You even pulled his arms closer and ground against him. It had been a while since you have danced like this and he was cute enough for you to let this continue.
While feeling the rhythm (and his obvious boner and shifty hands) you catch the attention of someone you weren't expecting. You're too into feeling the motions of your environment to properly be stunned but it was no mistake that it was the same guy you vowed to avoid until further notice, Bakugo. You two never break eye contact as you tilted your head to the side, the horny male behind you taking it as a sign to kiss your neck. Your brows scrunch in pleasure as his lips are undoubtedly skilled, his teeth teasing your skin numerous times but not deep enough to leave any marks. Your hands find their way to tangle in his hair, egging him on to continue.
Bakugo's eyes are intense just like you had witnessed in the changing room. It seemed as though he had no plans on breaking eye contact with you and it scared you in a way that he was unwavering. While you cowered coming across him and his presumed girlfriend, he openly stared at you. Another challenging look with confidence oozing from him. Just when a hand starts to wander a little south on your body, he starts to move towards you and now you're starting to get anxious.
Breaking eye contact, you're quick to turn around in Sero's hold, an apologetic expression on your face.
"Too much?" Sero asks, his hand coming up to wipe a strand of hair from your face and you shake your head.
"I have to run to the restroom real quick, okay?" You squeeze his hand before leaving and take a few steps before actively making your way in the opposite direction in which Bakugo was going.
Your eyes search desperately for the bathrooms and much to your relief signs were pointing in that direction. Despite all of the dancing bodies and other people trying to make it around as well, you can find refuge and go into the restroom. You immediately walk up to the sink on the furthest side of the room and place your hands on the ledge of the sink. A deep sigh comes from you as you try to calm yourself down knowing that you were starting to get too cocky outside.
What the hell even was that?
You have had your fair share of rendezvous' and sneaking around, but never have you made eyes at someone's boyfriend or whatever the fuck he was to her. Everything about today was going way too fast, and you were sure you were going to need another drink.
You turn on the water and grab a paper towel to wet, applying the wet paper to clean off your face and skin. You were right about one thing though: Sero was pretty skilled and you wondered how he was able to contain himself and not mark your skin. Had it been any other bumbling idiot, you would've had to be covering up your neck and shoulders with makeup for a good few days or so.
You bend down to catch the water instead, fully committing to the idea that you'll reapply your makeup, if any, before leaving the bathroom to get yourself together. As you try to sober yourself up you hear the door open and close behind you and pay it no mind. The running water of the sink distracts you for a hot minute before it hits you that there was no movement at all after the door had initially opened. You turn off the water and turn around, a sharp gasp coming from you as you fully take in who's at the door.
"Having fun?" Bakugo asks in a tone you've never heard before. It was deeper, a light husk to it rather than his regular monotonous or rambunctious tone. He steps closer and you back up, trying to create more space between you. He scoffs at the action, stepping forward again and watching as you have nowhere else to go. You have no other choice but to watch him slowly make his way up to you, and you aren't sure what to expect.
"Bakugo," You start but fail to continue. What do you even say to him, how do you even start? Your mouth opens and closes as you try to collect yourself making him chuckle.
"Keep going and you might turn into a fish."
His mockery successfully makes you close your mouth and glare at him. Bakugo's calloused hand reaches out and softly touches your neck, tracing where Sero's lips once were. His thumb lightly traces your skin, a low hum in approval at how his work is pretty much unnoticeable.
"You shouldn't be in here." Your voice is low and timid. He grins at your words and places his hands on your hips, pushing you to sit back on the counter behind you. You curse yourself for choosing the last sink in the corner and you curse yourself for responding so easily to his touch. "And we shouldn't be like this either." You try to reason more with yourself more than anything.
He scoffs out a laugh and leans in close to your ear, lips brushing against your skin. "Why not? It's just us."
"But that… girl?" You lightly pull away from him and place your hands behind you to support yourself. His face shows confusion for a split second when he merely pulls inches away from you.
"Camie?" Bakugo's cocky demeanor returns as he slides his hands from your hips to your thighs, parting them enough to fit himself between them. "So it really was you at the store, eh? Didn't know my partner was such a pervert."
The nerve. He was the one who left the door ajar. If anything, you should be calling him the pervert.
"I-I wasn't trying to, you left the door open." You counter back, eyes narrowing in response. He lightly shrugs before moving in to kiss the opposite side of your neck Sero left untouched and places an open kiss on your skin.
"Must've forgot."
A humorless laugh comes from you in reaction to his answer, a soft gasp following in its footsteps. His teeth sink into your skin and you are sure that, unlike your first pick for the night, Bakugo definitely left a mark. You softly whimper as he places his right hand on your waist to press your body closer to his. Your back arches into his and you move your head to welcome his rough kisses, the stimulation undoubtedly reawakening the lust you had on the dance floor. His hand on your hip grips your thigh and slips its way to the middle of your legs, wasting no time pressing the pads of his fingers against your heat.
You moan at the pressure and hurriedly press your lips together in embarrassment. Your eyes are closed to avoid making eye contact with him as you already know he was gearing up to tease you.
"Shit, when was the last time you got fucked, princess?" Bakugo grips your cheeks and forces you to open your eyes. There's no way he expects you to answer with his grip, and you're sure he's not expecting it anyways. "Soy sauce face ain't do it for ya'?"
You look up at him with a dazed and confused look, the look in your eyes making him groan. The nicknames he picked were certainly unique, and you can't quite pinpoint why he coined Sero that; much less what their connection to each other is. He was under the assumption that like him you were actively 'busy' in your free time. You certainly weren't if that wasn't evident with how receptive you are to his touch.
"I'll get you all fixed up, baby," Bakugo leans in close to your lips, "make you forget all about that dunce's face." He finishes the declaration with a kiss, his grip softening on your cheeks and then moving to your neck.
The kiss, albeit sloppy, intoxicated you. His lumps were plump and soft, a hard contrast to his strong and calloused hands that held your thigh and waist. His tongue brushes against your lower lip asking for an entrance and you gladly allow him entrance. You moan as his tongue dominates your mouth, his wet muscle caresses yours with passion.
Your hands now gripped onto his strong shoulders like that other girl once did. You can't help but think about her, your thoughts starting to cloud about the two of them. You pull away as you start to feel guilty, a string of saliva connecting you two as you part.
"What's wrong?" Bakugo wipes the string of saliva away, a soft pant to his words as he collects himself.
"I just can't, Bakugo. You have a girlfriend."
"She's not my girl, not like that," Bakugo reassures, his thumb pressing against your lip before moving his finger to press various pecks against your lips. "I ain't never did this before, but I've had my eye on you for a while." The confession shamefully made you blush. You had always thought he was attractive but never thought deeper about it. Even a few days ago from the WIRED interview you never made the move to ask or even care about getting to know him. But here you were, sitting on a random club's sink with him between your luscious thighs.
Your cumbersome thoughts start to lose their way as he leans in to kiss you again, your worries washing away when his soft lips find yours. His kiss is overwhelmingly commanding and you love it. You were used to guys taking a more passive approach with you and the lack of control his kiss held undoubtedly made you more responsive to him. Even with that distinction from before, the kiss now is more controlled this time and his composure shows he meant business now. His tongue works smoothly against yours and doesn't shy away from wrestling with yours. You were so enraptured by the kiss you hadn't noticed his left hand had slipped into the front of your bottoms, the feeling of his fingers pressing against your clothed cunt making you buck into his hand.
You whimper as he continues his stroking, your hands never letting up their hold on his strong shoulders. His fingers welcome your grinding and he pulls away from the kiss to look down at the spot between your hips and watches in interest.
"Bakugo—"
"Katsuki," Bakugo corrects you and tilts your chin down to maintain eye contact with you once again.
You bite your lip and your eyes flutter closed once he presses his fingers against your clit eliciting a breathier moan from you.
"Say it and I'll put them in, Y/N." He lets his fingers slip down to collect your slick, the tips of his fingers lightly pressing at your entrance before tracking back up to play with your clit again.
"K-Kat," Your jaw locks up at his diddling, a frustrated pout adorning your features as you try to keep up with him. "I—thought you said you haven't done this before, hm?"
He lightly laughs at your accusation, softly shaking his head at your confusion. "Messin' around like this, princess." His eyes flicker down at your movements and softly groans.
"So it's not about me being a foreigner?"
"That too," The question gets a genuine laugh from him, his brow raising in amusement as he slips in a finger whilst he answers. "used to stealing other people's girl's, not the other way around."
"Shit!" Your fingers grip his tank top and you bring him in for another kiss. His experience is clear in the way he maintains his rhythm in both his kiss and fingering your sopping cunt. Bakugo slips in another finger when you start to lubricate more, a lewd squelch welcoming in his digits.
He curls his fingers to find your soft g-spot, his touch delicate but rough at the same time. You were a vocal one for sure and he loved it. When he presses his palm against your once abandoned clit, your sounds let him know how much you appreciated the attention again. You two break the kiss when you both need time to breathe, lips still very much pressed against one another as you two take each other in.
"Katsuki, fuck-"
"You're close aren't you, pretty girl?" He hums and you nod your head in confirmation. He barely reacts when your nails press into his skin, his eyes scanning the way your body reacts to his movements and how unabashedly expressive you were. So many other women were always focused on how pretty they looked and wanted to be prettier and more memorable than the last the young man encountered. You seemed so natural and into it and he greatly admired it. His crush that he has developed on you for some time now was growing for sure and it was all by chance that it was panning out like this. At this point he didn't care if you were using him to get your rocks off, he wanted to see you like this more often.
With bliss written across your face, your orgasm washes over you in an artful visual. Bakugo had grown to love all your expressions and this one by far might be his favorite. Your brows were scrunched as you released, eyes closed and your mouth shaped like an "O". When you opened back up your eyes to look at him, he knew what you were asking for. Bakugo softly sweet-talks you as you come down, his fingers slowing to a stop before pulling from your pants to lick his fingers.
You're a mess, a light pant to your breath as you watch him lick up your essence from his digits. You move to palm his hard-on, but his other hand immediately stops you.
"Fuck me, Katsuki." You mumbled against his lips, the look in your eyes showing nothing but a lustful plea.
"Not yet, princess," Bakugo answers back in the same manner, his lips brushing against yours as a way to tease before pulling away. "Can't spoil you too much now, can I?" He gives you a look over and scoffs at your dumbfounded seemingly fucked out state.
You call out his name as he washes up and leaves you behind in the bathroom.
You sit on the counter and stare at the door in shock. Your body felt like it was on fire. Your panties were now soaked and to add fuel to the fire you were left horny as fuck.
You slump against the corner and roll your eyes in exasperation. You no longer wanted to go back out and the pull to get another drink quickly died once you found yourself getting drunk on lust from what just occurred. You press your thighs together and groan at how Bakugo successfully blue-balled you both. You knew he was hard as fuck too the way his dick pressed against your thigh confirmed it.
You tilt your head to the side to observe yourself and have to admit you look a hot mess. Your eyes are half-lidded, you weren't sure how but your hair was a mess and now your once clear neck is now adorned in marks from Bakugo's rough kisses. You look away from the mirror and begrudgingly hop off the counter, the need to go home and take a shower finally reaching its way to your nervous system.
You
hey girlie, I'm heading out for the night. thanks for hanging out with me! 🫶🏽
[->] Sent 1:24 A.M.
You make sure to text Mina to avoid any miscommunication of you randomly disappearing during the night. You took your time to gather yourself not wanting to leave until you were ready. Once you leave the bathroom, you make a beeline towards the terrace needing to grab your things before having to leave in a cab for home.
"Leaving already?" A male's voice behind you makes you turn around.
"Ah, Sero," You smile apologetically as you properly face him. "I just… I'm not feeling well all of a sudden…" It was a shit lie and you knew it. You couldn't think of a better excuse but it wasn't a complete lie either. After your encounter with Bakugo, you needed to spend the night preferably alone.
Sero nods his head and gives you a warm smile. "I get it. Could I uh… get your phone maybe? Only if you're comfortable."
"Oh!" You light up and nod your head. "Yeah, of course."
After searching his pockets, Sero pulls out his phone and hands it to you. You quickly type in your number right before getting the notification on your own device that your ride is ready.
"It was nice meeting you, Sero." You lean up to kiss him on the cheek, leaving not too long after. It was a bit hard moving through the crowd but you were able to leave, and hopefully, you would be able to go home without any trouble tonight.
But what you didn't know was some people were paying attention and saw that whole exchange.
Quite a few, actually.

BNHA Headcanons: Bakugo Katsuki
Bakugo is hard of hearing cause of his explosions, and that’s a big reason he yells all the time and gets mad at Midoriya for muttering (I mean he’s also just an asshole for a while until character development happens, but like that’s the reason that the muttering sets him off so much). He hates wearing his hearing aids tho, cause he thinks they look ugly and like old people shit, so no one but Midoriya knows that he even needs them.
Kirishima sees them in his dorm one night, and Bakugo blows up at him about how he doesn’t need them and he doesn’t wanna be the hero w old people hearing aids and shit. Later on, when the rest of the Bakusquad finds out, they steal them when Bakugo’s not looking, and when they return them, the outsides had been painted w Ashido’s sparkly red nail polish, and there were also tiny explosions painted onto them. He wears them a lot more after that. (Idk if you can paint hearing aids, rip if you can’t)
For Christmas, Kaminari gets Bakugo new hearing aids that are bright red, that they painted explosions on as well, cause Kaminari is def lowkey rich, cause his parents own a tech company or smth, and he convinced them to start making hearing aids. (Idk if tech companies can make hearing aids, cause they’re technically medical devices, but this is a fictional world so I’m gonna ignore any laws that may prevent them from doing so lol)
Shinsou teaches Bakugo some sign language, for when everything gets too loud and too much and he needs to turn off his hearing aids.
The class, being the nosey fuckers they are, find out and decide to join the lessons. Kouda helps out, and it helps bring him out of his shell a bit, because he’s able to use his preferred method of communication a lot more. The class notices that Bakugo doesn’t have as many outbursts, now that he has the option to turn off his hearing aids when the class gets too loud without losing his ability to know what’s going on (they try to keep track of if his aids are on or off, and start signing while they talk if they’re off. Some of the members who speak quieter or are harder to lip read (like Tokoyami) prefer to sign while talking all the time).
Honestly, the number of insults and swears he’s learned in that short of a time is impressive, but it’s Bakugo, so no one’s really that surprised.
When Aizawa notices, he adds sign language classes to their curriculum, because being able to communicate from long distances, esp during loud battles and stealth missions, would be very useful, and it’s surprising that no one’s thought of it yet.
(Or at least that’s what he tells Nezu and the board when bringing it up to them. It definitely doesn’t have anything to do with his soft spot for his hell class, and the fact that the number of headaches he gets in a week from being in a room with screaming teens after a long patrol has been cut in half)
Present Mic is ecstatic when he finds out about the sign classes, and he immediately volunteers to teach them. Some of the students are surprised to learn that he’s deaf/HOH at first, but once they think about it it makes a lot of sense, esp when he tells them that his entire family are all deaf or hard of hearing too, which isn’t surprising given that most of them have various voice quirks. He ends up teaching them a lot of slang, and Kaminari convinces him to devote an entire class to memes.
(They def have the strawberry/marijuana mix up at some point, and Aizawa is close to giving them all detention until Kouda figures it out and tells them that no, Satou isn’t planning on making chocolate covered weed any time soon.)
A surprising number of the students realize that they like having the ability to sign as well as speaking out loud. It helps when they’re having bad days and don’t want to talk. It’s also helpful in general, and during movie nights people are able to hold conversations without getting pillows thrown at them for being distracting. Plus they can talk shit in public, or point out anyone they notice acting suspiciously, without others knowing (which is how Hagakure, Ashido, Tsuyu, and Uraraka end up stopping a robbery in a record breaking 40 seconds while out getting ice cream)

Masterlist
Part 2
=====
You were sat on your bed, trying to finish the last bit of homework before the weekend started. Notes and books were spread out in front of you while the assignment laid in your lap untouched. Something was running through your head that you couldn’t let go of.
You bite the end of your pencil, trying to process what’s going through your mind. It wasn’t a topic you were well versed on. The girls brought it up today and the words echoed. Flicking your gaze over at your desk where Bakugo was sitting, the temptation to break the silence was high.
“Bubba?” You call out in a small voice.
He lets out a small grumble, his focus never leaving his homework. “What did I say about that?”
You roll your eyes at him, “I’ve been calling you that since we were kids and I’m not stopping now. I’ve told you that before.” You chide with a small smile. The two of you have been friends from the womb it seems since your mothers were friends. Growing up together, spending every moment together up until you were sent off to an all-girls boarding school for middle school.
Reuniting at UA, the two of you caught up like no time had passed. The difference is Bakugo’s ego and strive to become the number one hero only increased. He would never admit it, but he had a soft spot for his childhood best friend.
“Do you think…” You scratch the back of your neck, uncomfortable with the topic. “Do you think… Mineta is a bit…” Your voice trails off as you try to find the right word. “Too friendly with me?”
He lets out a snort, unaware of the serious shift in the air. “Yea, that kids a fucking perv. You give him a skirt and he’ll try to look up it.”
“No— Katsuki.” You let out a sigh and rub your hand over your face. “This is serious, please.” You beg while staring at the back of his head.
The blond stiffens in his seat at your words. He fiddles with his pencil, mentally preparing himself before he sets it down and spins his chair. Leaning forward with his hands on his knees, he directs all his attention to you.
“The girls were talking today about him and Mina mentioned how it seemed like I was his favorite.” Your eyes shift down to your hands as you fiddle with the end of your sweatshirt. “It made me think and then I started to notice and I just—“ Shaking your head at how ridiculous you sound, you cut yourself off. “I don’t know. I’m being stupid.”
Katsuki stays quiet for a few moments, trying to plan his words carefully to not offend you. “First of all, you are not stupid. You’re just a bit clueless.” He starts off causing you to let out a scoff, after all these years you think you would be used to his bluntness, “I meant with… sexual stuff. And he likes to take advantage of that.”
You nod and go quiet as you process the information. Being at an all-girls took a toll on… that kind of education but it never really processed. Mineta always made you uncomfortable but you never realized how… until now.
“Do you want me to kick his ass?” He stands up with his fist balled at his sides, “I’ll kick his ass right now, I’ve been waiting to ever since—“
“No, no,” You shake your head at him, chuckling at his enthusiasm. He never failed to defend you, even back when it was a playground bully. But this was different, you were grown up now. Plus, it was more complicated than insulting your pigtails. “Hurting him won’t make him learn anything, Katsuki.”
“Then what will?”
You wrack your brain, trying to come up with a better way to scare the creep off. Now that you told Katsuki, you had to come up with a plan or he’d take it into his own hands. No matter how much you begged him not to, he always did things like that.
Then an idea pops into mind causing you to let out a gasp. A large smile appears on your face as you scramble off your bed towards him, crumpling all the notes in the process. Katsuki knows that face too well.
“What dumb idea just wiggled its way into that small brain of yours?” He demands as you stand in front of him.
You let out a little giggle as you grab his hands, not noticing the way his breath hitches at the contact. “Bakugo Katsuki,” You look up at him through your lashes. “Will you do the honors of being my boyfriend?”
“Your what?” He screams in your face but you are unfazed. He rips his hands out of yours and glares at you. “Are you crazy?”
Rolling your eyes at his dramatics, you explain yourself, “If I was dating someone, maybe Mineta would leave me alone.”
“Why me? Why can’t you ask one of the other idiots?”
“Because you’re… you.” You weakly defend, knowing the other boys wouldn’t care for your antics. You, once again, grab his hands and look up at him. “So, will you, Bubba?” You ask, putting your best puppy dog face.
Katsuki’s facade never fades as his heartbeat picks up. He’s imagined this day before but he didn’t think it was going to be a cover-up because you wanted a little purple perv to leave you alone.
“I—“
A knock at the door interrupts his answer making you throw your head back with a groan. You drop his hands and stomp over to the door. Swinging it open, you snap at whoever is standing there, “What?”
“Chill, dudette.” Denki greets, a large smile on his face.
“Yea, what’s got your panties in a twist?” Mineta’s nasally voice catches your attention making you look down. His chuckle that follows sends shivers down your spine.
“Oh, hey.” You switch your tone into an upbeat one. “What do you guys need?”
Mineta and Denki share a look, smirks coming onto their faces.
“Some of us were going down to the beach before the sun set and were wondering if you wanted to come with us,” Mineta asks while not-so-subtly checking you out.
“Oh,” You breathe out, shifting uncomfortably at the thought of being in your swimsuit around him. “I—“
“She’s busy, runt.” Bakugo appears behind you, a hand on the door frame and the other slipping around your waist. Your eyes widen and you look up at him. He smiles down at you causing a small blush to appear on your face.
The smirks are wiped off their faces and are replaced with flabbergasted expressions, jaws dropped to the floor.
“Are you guys gonna just stand there or…?” He raises an eyebrow, his attention going back to the boys, “We were kind of in the middle of something, weren’t we?” He gives you a rough pull, bringing you closer to him with a sly grin. You’re snapped out of your daze when he squeezes your side.
“Oh,” Flicking your gaze back to the two boys, “yea, yea.” You aggressively nod with a large smile. “Bye!” And with that, you slam the door in their faces.
Denki and Mineta stand there, staring at the door. Their minds were boggled at their encounter with the new “couple”. On the other side of it, you were trying to keep your excitement quiet. Holding a hand over your mouth to muffle your squeal, you bounce up and down in front of him. Bakugo watches with a tired expression on his face, he didn’t regret his actions but he knew he was going to regret the outcome.

Twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty. You counted to yourself, pausing for an instant to check for signs of life. None. You started again. One, two, three...
"Midoriya." Someone was trying to speak to you, but you ignored them in favor of counting. "Midoriya!"
A hand grabbed your own, forcing you to stop. You ripped it away with a growl, ready to shove whoever was getting in the way of saving your husband's life. It was Haru. Of course, it was Haru.
"Midoriya," he managed to grab your hands and pull them away. "Let them hook him up."
Juichi, one of the younger nurses who you had been training, knelt next to you and cut open his bloodied shirt. The knife had cut deep and left a giant jagged stretch of a mess across his abdomen. Dark red gushed from the hole and two other nurses were quick to clean and wrap hasty bandages over it. That was only a temporary solution, the issue ran much deeper than that.
The most important thing was getting him breathing again, so you let them handle the wound for now. An Ambu bag was placed over his mouth while someone connected an EKG. A few weak marks flashed across the screen. Ventricular fibrillation. You only had minutes at best before he would fall into asystole, something he wouldn't be able to come back from, a permanent flatline.
Haru grabbed the paddles and leaned over him. "Clear!"
Juichi made sure to pull you back as the first shock jolted through Izuku. His back arched before falling limp. Everyone looked at the monitor, still V-fib. Haru cursed and increased the voltage, shocking him again. You dared the machine to give you bad news.
"Dammit," Haru growled and upped the voltage one more time. "Come on. Clear!"
Tumblr media
"-and just a few days ago he and his wife Y/N Midoriya were targets of an attack on Eridu bridge. Two weeks prior, Y/N was abducted from their home by three villains, only to be rescued by Deku the following day. Now, the police haven't confirmed whether or not these attacks are connected, but-"
Bakugo snatched the remote out of your hand and shut off the T.V. leaving the room in stiff silence.
"Hey," you tried to grab it back, but he lifted it out of your reach. "I was watching that."
"You don't need to be watching that shit." He muttered and leaned against the wall. "It's all garbage anyway."
"Jerk." You huffed and glanced back at the bed you'd been sitting next to for hours.
Three days. That's how long you sat in this room: waiting, praying, hoping. The only good news was that he'd finally been weaned off the ventilator. Now, you were just waiting for him to wake up, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't get the image of him lying on that Emergency Room floor, covered in blood, with no heartbeat out of your head.
Tumblr media
You ignored the pain in your hands as you squeezed them together, watching the lines on the machine start to spike. They successfully rebooted his heart, but he was far from safe. He could still crash any minute. They needed to work fast to stabilize him.
"Get him on the gurney!" Haru dropped the defibrillator and stood, yelling out orders. "Juichi, call O.R. They've got incoming!"
Juichi gave your arm one last reassuring squeeze before she rushed to the desk. A gurney dropped to the ground and you reached out to help, but Haru grabbed your shoulder.
"They got it Midoriya." He said quietly.
You smacked his hand away and stood, almost immediately falling over. Now that the adrenaline was wearing off, everything was starting to catch back up to you. Your head buzzed and your stomach seemed to be in some sort of internal war with itself. Every inch of your skin tingled as waves of nausea overtook your senses and you dropped right back to the floor again. Both lungs struggled to take in air and the noises around you were getting to be too much.
A hand rested on your shoulder and a deep voice spoke next to you, but you were too focused on trying to stop the world from spinning to even notice.
"Y/N." That voice. You knew that voice.
With shaky eyes, you looked at the man kneeling in front of you. Shoto. When he got here, you weren't sure, you were just glad that he was. He locked eyes with you and he looked so calm, so steady. How was he so calm when the world was closing in around you?
"Take a deep breath." He spoke softly, so different from the absolute chaos happening around you. "It's okay, you did it. You're safe now."
Izuku, now secured on the gurney, was rushed away. The last image you saw was his unconscious, bloody form.
Tumblr media
Pale and lifeless. That's what Izuku looked like, laying there, hair covering his eyes, and bandages covering his hair. All those surgeries coupled with healing sessions drained his stamina to dangerous levels. The knife had pierced his liver and nicked one of his lungs. The blood that filled his punctured lung nearly drowned him before they even made it to the O.R. They did all they could do with what they had, now it was just a waiting game. He's been through worse, which meant he would make it through this, he had to. That's what you kept repeating, over and over in your head.
"You've known him longer than I have." You whispered, staring at his unconscious form. "Do you think...do you think he can move past this?"
Bakugo glanced at Izuku, his lips in a thin line. "Deku has always been a bundle of insecurities, I'm probably the reason for most of them." He muttered. "I think he'll have a fucking shit time dealing with this."
That wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it was Bakugo you asked, so you should've expected something like that. With a sigh, you looked down at your bandaged hands.
"But," he crossed his arms, glaring at the remote in his hands before looking up at you. "He's also faced horrible shit all his life and somehow always found the annoyingly optimistic side to things. That was some messed up shit she pulled, but the damn nerd is stubbornly resilient." His voice dropped. "And he has you, so he'll be fine."
Your eyes jumped to him. "What?"
He rolled his eyes and looked out the window. It was quite a dismal day outside. "You heard me, so shut up."
Yup, that was a Bakugo compliment if you ever heard one. It brought the slightest smile to your face to see him so disgusted by what he said. He threw the remote on the table and stomped to the door.
"I'm getting coffee." He grumbled and threw the door open. "Hey, you two!" He yelled at the two officers stationed outside. "Don't let anyone else in until I get back or I'll have your heads. Got it?"
They nodded meekly and he slammed the door shut, leaving you alone with Izuku. It wasn't the first time they left you alone with him, but you still got jitters in your stomach every time they did. You were positive the drug had been completely flushed from his system, but that wasn't the real problem here. The problem was you and your stupid brain still trying to pull a fight or flight, leaning heavily on the flight. It was a ridiculous notion that he would ever purposely hurt you, but your body was telling you otherwise and you hated it.
"Stop it." You growled to yourself, jumping to your feet. "You're fine. It's fine. Everything is fine.."
Maybe if you said it enough, you'd actually start to believe it. Once he recovered, it was going to be a long rocky road back to normal. No, who were you kidding, nothing would be 'normal again. Well, at least for now. Right now, you both just needed to focus on healing and everything would follow suit...hopefully.
A small noise caught your attention and you whipped your head to the bed. Izuku's face was scrunched up like he was in pain and his fingers twitched every now and then. Ever so slowly, he was waking up. You glanced at the door. Bakugo hadn't returned yet and a nervous dread was creeping through your stomach.
His eyes fluttered open slightly but closed just as quick. A small puff of a groan blew past his lips. It was a slow process, painfully slow, but after a few minutes, he finally managed to open his eyes and keep them open, staring at the ceiling in confusion.
"Izuku?" You stood near the end of his bed, stiff as a board.
With a slow blink, his eyes drifted down to you and through the haze of drowsiness he was caught in, he recognized you with a slight smile. A wave of relief washed just a bit of that dread away. You thought you'd never see him smile again.
"Are you- how do you feel?" You wrung your hands, guilt eating you up when your feet refused to move to his side.
His mouth opened and closed again. He did that a few more times before he managed to speak, his voice so hoarse that the words died in his throat. A frown replaced that small smile and his hands came up to rub his face. The motion must have pulled on his wound and he gasped, curling around his midsection.
That finally got your feet moving. You rushed to his side and pulled his hands back down. "Don't move so much yet, you're still pretty banged up."
"Y/N..." he coughed out and you grabbed the water on the table, helping him take a few sips. "Y/N," it came out much more clear this time. "What happ..." The words faded out as his eyes grew wide, searching your face. "No...did I- was it...please tell me it wasn't real. It was just a hallucination...right?"
You couldn't meet his eyes. "You're alright now." Turning away, you set the cup down. "We're alright now."
It was obvious he was still fighting the grogginess from the drugs he was on, but he was apparently lucid enough to remember. You had been holding out hope that he wouldn't be able to remember, like what happened with Kirishima, but this drug was different. Ikari had said it was made specifically with him in mind, something to not just torture him physically, but psychologically as well and it worked. It even seemed to slow his recovery time. Taking this long to even wake up was worrying on its own.
His eyes darted around his room and he tried to sit up. Heavy breaths turned into frantic heaving. "I tried to...I- oh my god." He made it halfway up before collapsing back on the bed with a pained choke. "No, no, no, I can't-"
"Izuku." You gently laid a hand on his chest and he stopped squirming long enough to glance at you. "Stop moving before you hurt yourself more."
"But-"
"No, just...please." Your own bandaged hand squeezed the fabric of his hospital gown so tight it was on the verge of tearing. "I need you to be calm."
He was anything but calm. In fact, he was nearing a complete breakdown if the horrified expression glued to his face was anything to go by. Watery eyes scanned over every inch of you, probably trying to catalog the damage he'd done. You were grateful for the scarf wrapped around your neck, concealing the ugly truth. Seeing that wouldn't do him any good.
"I know how you must be feeling." Staring at your hands was easier than looking him in the eyes. "Well, maybe not exactly but..." Wow, you had no idea what to say.
Ever since he was wheeled away practically knocking on death's door, you'd been thinking of how to handle this. Nothing seemed right. This was an entirely new experience. Something you'd been having a lot of lately.
Biting back a groan, he pushed himself up and leaned against the headboard. The man was covered head to toe in bandages. It was, unfortunately, a sight you were quite familiar with, but that didn't mean it ever got easier seeing him so beat up. This time though, this time was different; his body wasn't the only thing damaged and you weren't sure how to go about repairing this, or even if you could.
Hands covered his face as he tried to even out his breathing. It took everything he had to calm himself down. "I-"
"What do you remember?" You cut him off.
He wiped the trickle of tears from his cheeks. "I remember what I did." His voice was barely audible, but even so, you could hear the utter anguish and guilt lacing it. "Most of its fuzzy, but I-I... you're okay, aren't you?" His eyes dropped to your bandaged hands that you quickly hid behind your back. "I'm so sorry Y/N, I would never-"
"I know Izuku." You cut him off again. "I know. Please don't blame yourself, this isn't your fault."
"But it is." He narrowed his eyes, gripping the sheets. "I'm supposed to be better than this. I'm supposed to be a hero. I'm supposed to protect you. I wasn't good enough and- and you almost died!" He met your gaze. "It is my fault."
"You always do this!" The sudden outburst surprised even you. "You're always the first one to throw yourself under the bus." With a shake of your head, you turned away to pace the room. "I learned to deal with a lot of things that come with your heroics. I learned to deal with the late nights and the last-minute calls in. I learned to deal with all the bruises and injuries that come with the job. I even learned to deal with all the fucking politics involved with this." You stopped to look at him. "But the one thing I can't deal with anymore is this self-sacrificial role you always jump headfirst into as if there wouldn't be anyone left to deal with the aftermath!" You were yelling by this point, but you didn't care. "But you have people who still need you here! I still need you here! Don't you get that?"
He sat there, completely still, staring at you like you were the scariest thing in the world at the moment. "Y/N-"
"No! I want you to get it through that fucking head of yours that you are worth it! I can't lose you...I..." You were quickly losing steam.
A hand rested on your shoulder as someone said your name. The touch freaked you out so much that you practically leaped to the other side of the room with a scream.
Standing where you had been was All Might and Inko, along with Bakugo who was lingering in the back with his arms crossed. They were all staring at you like you were the crazy one. Were you acting crazy? Everything was flying at you too fast. All the thoughts in your head were too fumbled to even form anything coherent.
Air. You needed air. You couldn't stay in this room any longer, not when you were suffocating like this.
Without so much as a word, you bolted from the room. Guilt fought the fear in your stomach as you raced down the hall, not even sure where you were trying to get to in such a hurry, just that you needed to get there. After sprinting down a few halls, you found an open door and ducked inside. It slammed shut behind you and you backed into a corner trying to catch your breath. A few items fell off the shelf and clattered around your feet. Your legs gave way and you slunk to the floor, staring at a few of the cleaning bottles lying around you.
A lone bulb swung overhead, creating moving shadows that danced just outside your vision so you closed your eyes and curled in on yourself. You stayed that way until a faint knock on the door startled you so much that you hit your head on the shelf behind you and a few rolls of paper towels clattered to the floor.
The door cracked open and you figured it was Inko or even All Might that had come to talk, but instead, Bakugo slipped inside. He didn't say anything as he sat on the floor and leaned against the door, staring at you with that same cold expression as always.
After a few silent minutes, you collected yourself enough to finally meet his piercing vermillion gaze. "What do you want?"
"What do you want?" He repeated back. The question didn't make sense to you so you just shook your head. "He obviously didn't say what you wanted him to say, so, what do you want?"
What did you want? Well, you wanted everything to go back to how it was, but that was never going to happen. You wanted Izuku to stop risking himself so much, but that was a choice he made a long time ago and something you agreed to when you first started dating. You wanted to have a happy, carefree life, but that was damn near impossible with a hero. You wanted to be strong enough to handle things the way Izuku could, but you weren't a hero like him. You wanted so many things that were too far out of reach.
"I just...I want everything to be okay." You sniffed, feeling the sting of tears trying to escape your eyes. "Is that too much to ask for?"
Bakugo was silent, his eyes never leaving you.
"I want him to be okay. I want us to be okay." With a huff, you curled your legs up to your chest to rest your chin on. "But it's not. How can anything be okay when I'm just scared of standing in the same room? How is that okay? What kind of horrible person am I?" You searched his eyes for an answer. "He's in there hurting all kinds of ways and I'm just hiding in a utility closet. I want to be in there with him, but I can't make myself go. How can I face him like this?"
"What happened was fucked up. That much everyone can agree on, but you're not afraid of him, you're afraid of what happened. There's a difference." His voice had a softness to it that you'd never heard before. It was strange, but also kinda nice.
Maybe that's why you laughed. Heavy drags of giggles burst out and you dropped your head. It built up to a full-out crazed cackle, but nothing could stop the choked laugher that seemed to bubble up from some dark abyss with no end in sight. Finally, after a few huge gulps of air, you managed to calm down enough to look back up at him.
"Well, tell that to my stupid brain." You huffed.
"What do you want?" He asked again.
"Why do you keep saying that!" You grumbled. "I already answered your dumb question!"
"Because you don't believe it yet." He leaned forward, narrowing his eyes. "So, I'll ask again, what do you want right now?"
You went back to staring at the mess of cleaning supplies surrounding you and picked up a roll of paper towels to squeeze between your fingers. "I wanna be in there with him."
"Why?"
He caught the roll you threw at him as you gave him your best 'you're an idiot' glare. "Because I care about him. I love him."
"Then you'll find a way." His face scrunched up in disgust when he realized what he said and threw the roll back at you. "Ugh, don't tell anyone I said that."
His playful attitude was enough to shock you out of the somber state you'd locked yourself away in, if only for a minute. "What? That love finds a way?" A trace of a smirk crossed your face. "I didn't take you for a sap Bakugo, it's ruining your bad boy image."
That fiery glare you knew all too well quickly took its rightful place back in his eyes. "Tell anyone and you die." He stood up and held out a hand. "Are you coming or not?"
After a moment of hesitation, you grabbed his hand and he pulled you up. "Hey Bakugo," you said quietly as he turned to the door. "Thanks...for being here."
"Someone needed to straighten your dumb ass out." He grumbled and opened the door.
The two of you made the silent trek back. As much as it surprised you that Bakugo was the one to come find you, it also relieved you. If any of the others found you, they probably would've wanted to have a deep talk, something you just weren't ready to have yet. He kept his space, which you were grateful for. The man was surprisingly intuitive when it came to all this emotional stuff, no matter how much he might try to deny it. No wonder Izuku never lost faith in him. He was, deep down in his heart, a good person, despite the rather abrasive exterior.
When you neared the room, Momo and Shoto who were standing off to the side having a quiet conversation saw you and rushed over.
"Y/N, are you alright?" She asked, hands hovering in front of her as if trying to restrain herself from grabbing you.
"I'm fine Momo, just needed some air." You mumbled, hating the way her eyes frantically fretted over you. "I promise, I'm alright." The door to his room was closed and you couldn't help but stare. "Is he?"
She glanced at it too. "All Might and Inko are talking to him now. We thought it best to give them some privacy."
All Might was probably the person he really needed to talk to at the moment. You freaked out on him and bolted. It wasn't the most encouraging thing to wake up to. This was good. All Might was his father in all but blood. If anyone could help him, it was those two.
"Um, how's Ochaco?" You looked back at her, needed something else to focus on. "She was released this morning, right?"
"Yes, she's recovered enough, although the Chief is speaking with her right now." She said. "But, she should be on her way over soon, especially now that he's awake.
"Good." With a sigh, you rubbed the hair out of your face. "I hope this is almost over."
The door opened, drawing everyone's attention. All Might's lanky form stepped out with Inko in tow. They both looked haggard and grim. Inko was red-faced and sniffling. It was obvious she had been crying but looked like she was trying to keep it together for appearances.
"Hello Y/N." He greeted quietly.
"There you are." Inko pulled you into a hug. "You were gone when we got back."
"Sorry Inko," you loosely wrapped an arm around her. "How is he?"
She pulled back and messed with the tissue in her hand, glancing at All Might. That practiced smile strained to stay on his face.
"He wants to speak with you if you're up for it." Those dark eyes bore into your own.
"Yes," you glanced back at the door, fighting the jitters in your stomach as you forced your feet to move.
Bakugo was right. You weren't afraid of Izuku, you were afraid of what happened. Differentiating the two was just a bit difficult for your body to understand, but it helped knowing.
"Y/N just..." All Might held out his hand, but thought better of it and simply shook his head. "Nevermind."
You cracked open the door and peeked in. Izuku was sitting on the edge of the bed, bare feet scraping against the floor. He was hunched over, messy hair hiding his face. Each deep breath he took ended with a slight pained gasp.
"Izuku?" You called out as the door shut.
He jumped and immediately regretted it, groaning as he doubled over, nearly toppling off the bed.
"Careful!" You rushed over and caught his shoulders before he could fall. "You shouldn't be moving around yet. They could only heal so much with the state you were in."
"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He refused to look at you, head stubbornly bowed. "Y/N, what I did...It's unforgivable." His voice was so hoarse, you could hardly hear him.
"Izuku," you stared down at the man trembling under your grip. "Please look at me."
He did, albeit, hesitantly. Your grip tightened on his shoulders and you forced yourself to look into his eyes. They were swollen and bloodshot. He'd been crying, hard. This was also a version of him you were quite familiar with.
There had been so many days when he came home from a long day of work, covered in dirt and grime. He would just collapse in your arms and drain the horrible sorrows of the day through tears. You never shamed him for it, it was just another thing that reminded you of how human, how fragile he was, despite what the public might think. He always felt things ten times the amount his heart should've been able to handle. It was part of the reason you fell in love.
"I don't blame you for what happened. You know that right?"
"That doesn't change the fact that it still happened, that I let it happen." He sniffed and shook his head. "I'm supposed to protect you, not be the reason you're in danger. You put your trust in me and I failed you."
Even after years of trying to show him how great of a hero he was, it was never enough. Not for someone who spent most of their childhood being told they were worthless. That part of his personality, while it had dulled, would never go away, you knew that better than anyone.
You pulled the chair over so you could sit in front of him. "I do trust you Izuku. You were under the control of that psychotic drug. That wasn't you who did that, I know the real you." Your hands drifted down to his own. "I'm sorry for running out earlier. I, well, I don't know. I guess my nerves are still a bit shaken."
As gently as he could, his fingers lightly wrapped around your own. "I love you. The thought of even...are you sure you're alright?"
Alright didn't even come close to describing how you were. No words could describe your emotional state at the moment. It was all still too fresh and you were still too high strung, but now that he was back, things could start to feel better.
"I..." you paused, not quite sure how to say it. "There was a long moment when I really thought that was it. That...that I wouldn't make it out of there."
Izuku covered his eyes, lips trembling. All those tears he was trying to suppress came flooding out. "Oh my god, Y/N, I-"
"No, stop." It was hard to pull his hands from his face. "Please, I'm not blaming you. I could never blame you. I...don't even know why I told you that. I just don't want to keep anything from you."
He stared at you, vision way too blurred with tears to make you out properly.
"Izuku, if the roles were reversed, if I was the one drugged up and turned on you, would you want me to feel the way you're feeling?" You shook your head. "And I know I probably couldn't do much damage, but the fact that I would've tried, would you hold it against me?"
"No, of course not!"
"Then why would I hold it against you?" Tears flooded down his cheeks and you brushed them away with your thumb. "Izuku, you've protected me countless times. Even when you were in that state, you still held back. Look at your fingers." You held up one of the bandaged ones. "I know what you were trying to do. I know you were doing everything you could to hold back. And we both know if you had the slightest inkling of wanting to hurt me, I wouldn't be here right now."
He opened his mouth, but you spoke over him. "And even under that drug, you still took a knife for me." You pressed his hand against your face. "Please don't ever do that again. That was the scariest part of all this. I was afraid I was going to lose you for good."
"I..." He was at a loss for words.
Your eyes drifted down to his gown where a growing red stain was spreading across his chest. "You pulled your stitches." With a sigh, you lifted the gown to get a better look. The bandages were saturated and starting to leak. "Come, lay down, I need to change them."
He did as you asked, wiping the rest of the tears from his splotchy face. The room was silent as you cleaned and redressed the angry red wound. This one would leave a pretty big scar running down his abdomen. He already had so many and you hoped it would just blend in with the rest over time, but the memory would always sting, there was no getting rid of that.
After you gathered all the soiled bandages and stripped your gloves, you pulled his gown back down and looked at his face. He had a few butterfly stitches above his right temple from that glass bottle you threw at him. It was a minor injury, so it wasn't at the top of the list to heal. You carefully reached out and lightly ran a few fingers over it. His eyes never left your face as your hand wandered down to cup his freckled cheek.
"Izuku honey, I love you." Gently, you sat on the bed. "What happened was terrifying, I won't lie, but the most terrifying thing was the thought of you dying. I knew the risks when I married you and I know them now. I made a promise to you years ago. No matter what, I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me, hero."
He leaned into your hand on his cheek and closed his watery eyes. "I don't deserve you Y/N."
"Nonsense." You rested your forehead against his. "If anyone deserves anything, it's you Izuku Midoriya." He sniffed as you brushed back his frizzy bangs and kissed his forehead.
A hint of a smile finally found its way back to his face and for just an instant, everything seemed right again. Then a knock at the door broke your little moment as the others filtered back in, this time with Ochaco.
"I'm glad to see you on your feet again Ochaco." You stood back up to greet everyone.
Frowns seemed to be contagious around here and Ochaco wasn't spared. She came over, grabbed your hands, and bowed her head. "I'm so sorry Y/N. I wasn't able to protect you."
"Not you too." You groaned. "Would everyone please stop apologizing to me? I'm sick of it and it's making me feel worse, not better." She blinked and you patted her hands. "I'm not angry with you Ochaco."
She straightened up and nodded. "Okay, I'm sorr- um, I mean are you feeling better?"
"Yes, I'm fine." It was an automatic reply by now, but as long as it got everyone off your back, you would stick with it.
"Izuku, I'm glad you're awake." Shoto walked in behind Momo. "Y/N, we're sorry to interrupt, but there's an urgent matter we need to discuss.
Glancing between the three heroes, you noticed All Might or Inko didn't come back in. He was probably keeping her busy while the heroes talked. Were they going to kick you out too? There was no way you were getting left out of anything, not after everything you'd been through.
"Ikari?" Izuku narrowed his eyes.
"Yes." He stood at the end of the bed. "After what happened, she managed to slip away."
"But," Momo spoke up. "She left behind a crucial piece of evidence. A small pouch containing the powdered drug. I've analyzed the components. Now we're just working on an antidote."
"Tsukauchi is tracing the drug now. He'll find it." Shoto finished.
"Wait," Izuku shook his head. "What day is it? How long have I been out?"
"Three days," Ochaco said.
"Three days?" He tried to sit up, only to freeze with a grunt. "That means- we don't have much time."
"Time?" Shoto cocked his head. "What are you talking about?"
"The gala."
"The ga- you're not seriously worried about the gala, are you?" Of all the things, you never expected him to be worried about something so trivial in light of recent events.
He turned to you. "Yes, the gala. It makes sense now."
"The gala." Momo's eyes widened. "You think she's going to strike there?"
"Think about it," he looked at each of them in turn. "It's one of the biggest events of the year and most of Japan's heroes will be there. The timing adds up, I think this is what she was planning all along."
"Wait, if she was able to mass-produce this drug," Ochaco grabbed her chin, "and if she manages to release it at the gala then-"
"Then we'll have a full-scale terrorist attack on our hands." Shoto summed up.
"Not just terrorists." Momo set a hand on his shoulder. "She'll have turned the heroes against each other...into villains."
"We need to shut it down!" Ochaco pulled out her phone. "The gala is tomorrow!"
"Hold on, if we shut it down, she might slip away again." Shoto held out his hand. "This is our best opportunity to catch them."
"You're willing to risk all those people?" Momo turned to him. "Have you forgotten the serious trouble we're already in? Our licenses are on the verge of suspension."
"Momo, this might be our one chance to stop her. We'll know when and where. We-"
"No, Shoto!" She snapped. "We already put one innocent life in danger, I'm not putting more at risk for just a chance to catch her. There has to be another way."
"Everyone's already in danger. She's always been five steps ahead of us." He glared down at her and gestured to Izuku. "I mean, look what's already happened. She managed to take Deku down. He was our powerhouse! We only survived because she decided to leave. Not retreat, but leave. We didn't win, we lost- miserably."
"Let's just calm down for a minute," Ochaco tried to interject. "Let's think this through."
"If we don't do this then she might target somewhere else. We'll have the advantage. We can control this." Shoto turned to Izuku. "What about you? What do you think?"
Izuku had gone silent, eyes darting back and forth as he thought it through, quietly mumbling to himself. Some things never change. "Any decision we make is risky. We need a plan that minimizes those risks." He pinched his bottom lip.
"You have an idea, don't you?" Shoto crossed his arms.
"Maybe," he looked up at him. "But pulling it off in a day is going to be a challenge."

The "Better Half" ; A Poly KiriBaku x Reader Fanfic
Enjoy the series | one   two   three four five
Bakugo stood against the wall, smoking a cigarette and staring at the sky. Surrounding him, chatty nobodies smoked as well, talking among each other. Usually, Ichiko would be leaning up against the wall with him, playfully ridiculing him for smoking while taking puffs every now and then.
Slowly, while the guys around them talked up a storm, Bakugo would bring his cigarette to her lips, and watch her take a puff, never letting his eyes leave her face. She’d stare right back, never breaking eye contact. She was so beautiful.
But now, she was gone, and he was stuck with five of his worshippers who he had never learned the names of, and would never bother with. They were ordinary assholes who he kept around to not feel lonely.
“What about you Bakugo? Which one do you have your eyes on?” The brown-haired one asked as they all turned to face him. Bakugo gave him a look of confusion and anger mixed together. “You know… girls? With that bitch gone, you can have full access to-“
Bakugo grabbed him by the collar and shoved him against the wall forcefully. All of them froze,, staying quiet as Bakugo looked him up and down. “You dare call her that one more time and I’ll smack your skull into this wall. I’ll fucking kill you! Got it?!”
The extra in front of him nodded quickly as Bakugo let go of his shirt, letting him fall to the ground. “Y’all are boring. I’m out.” He sternly announced, picking up his backpack and walking away, down a path and towards the woods that led to his house.
He wanted to call Ichiko, missing her voice when she wasn’t yelling at him. He wondered where she was after storming out. Her mother would never just let her come home early, and with Deku coming back to school, it was implied she was alone. Katsuki didn’t like the thought of her being alone in the city.
He picked up his phone and called her, the only contact with a photo in his entire phone. It was a photo of you, all tan and pretty with ocean curls and flowers in your hair. Four months ago, the Midoriya and Bakugou families went on a beach trip together.
It had been the best time of your life, spending every waking moment with each other. While Izuku and your parents went to the aquarium and pool and such, you stayed with the Bakugous.
You got up late, had breakfast with Katsuki, went tanning, bike-riding, swimming, more tanning, hung out on a playground, and then skateboarded around. To end the day, you two would sit on the roof of the hall beach house and watch the sunset.
Katsuki smiled warmly at the memory he missed so much, loving every second of him not having to share you with anyone else. There was no Deku to ruin anything, like he had. “Dammit!” Katsuki exploded, punching the wall as hard as he could.
Deku had ruined everything… Deku had destroyed the only thing Katsuki had ever cared about. Just two days ago, he was going to make love to you, and confirm the feelings you two had for each other after so many years. But no, Deku ruined that.
Then that night, Bakugo let his extras mess around with the wimp while he talked to you all night long, laughing and joking comfortably as if nothing had changed, and then yet again, Deku ran to his sister like a child and ruined everything.
Bakugou wanted revenge… He wanted to rip Deku from his skull and make him pay. He wanted to smack the stupid smile off his dumb face, and tell him how useless he was. No, he wanted to scream. He wanted to scream at him until his lungs burned like hell, and Deku ran out of tears.
Katsuki continued calling, one after another, growing extremely worried. It was no secret he was protective of Ichiko. She was his best friend, his only friend, and his soulmate. Even when they were younger, he would get angry.
Angry when she climbed a tree too high, or when she got in a fight with boys. Once she went missing, and him being the little 5-year-old he was, searched for her all night with his dad. In fact. Izuku cried the entire time, per usual. Even back then, he had been useless.
Katsuki dropped the board he had in his hands, and began riding along the hiking trail in the forest towards his house. Thinking back, maybe he had been friends with Izuku. Maybe he had liked playing action figures with both the twins, or obsessing about heroes with the brother while Ichiko rolled her eyes.
Just maybe…
He rode around for a while, just thinking. He thought about Ichiko’s dad and what he would do. He thought about UA and if he would make it. Of course he would, right? It was possible. What about Ichiko? There was no way he could leave her. There was also no way she wouldn’t get in.
He’d follow her anywhere. They were soulmates after all, meant for each other, and nothing less of perfection. Deku just needed to accept that he wasn’t the most important guy in her life now, never had been, and never would be.
Katsuki arrived home to see his parents surrounding the tv, which was not normal, but again, not totally weird. He hooked his board onto the back of his bag and began climbing the steps, listening to the noises around him.
“Oh Inko, they’re showing her again! Oh gosh, she’s so coordinated!” His mother exclaimed happily, her eyes glued to the screen. Ugh… the news? “Oh goodness, I just know she was happy to meet All Might!” Mitsuki talked into her phone, apparently talking to Inko. But why?
“Dear, she’s probably terrified. Not to add to the fact that she left school early for an unknown reason.” Katsuki’s father, who sat by her side, explained to his excited wife. Out of curiosity and frustration, Katsuki walked into the living room.
He gasped a little bit, earning the sudden attention of his parents who finally realized he was home. There, on the screen, on the NEWS,  footage of Ichiko played.
It showed her coming out of the tunnel that led to the town square from our school, and being attacked by a sludge-like creature.
It wrapped around her as she became pale, unable to move or use your quirk to fight back. It strangled her, wrapping around her from all angles. As she closed her eyes, All Might appeared before her, and hit it off, letting her limp body fall to the ground.
It scurried off into the darkness of the tunnel again, and allowed All Might and others to surround her. Then the footage cut, leaving Katsuki staring at the news reporter.
“Witnesses say that the victim was alright, but in a state of shock as she fled the scene. All Might commented that he believes she will be alright, and is just shook up. Other sources say that she looked traumatized. More on this attack tonight at 10.”
Bakugo stood up and angrily shook the tv. “No! No! No! Where did she go after? Is she hurt? What if something happens to her?” He yelled, before turning back to his parents.
“What are you doing out of school Katsuki? Classes don’t end for another hour.” Mitsuki asked, giving her son the side eye of disapproval. “I… It doesn’t matter, okay? Shit happened at school and I couldn’t deal with it okay?! But that’s not important! We have to find Ichi!”
Mitsuki giggled at her son before turning to her husband. “Ichiko can handle herself, Izuku will go looking for her. You on the other hand…” She bopped her son on the head, watching his spiky hair turn to a frizzy fuzz.
Katsuki angrily stomped up the stairs, like a child his mother would say, and laid on his bed. He stared at the ceiling intensely, lost in thought. Why wasn’t anyone worried about Ichiko’s whereabouts?
She was a young, pretty girl in a huge city without anyone. Not to mention probably traumatized. Katsuki rolled over, staring at the photo he had next to his bed of them two.
Over the years, Katsuki changed his room theme multiple times, switching furniture and wall colors like it was nobody’s business. Yet, no matter the aesthetic or mood of the room, a picture of Ichiko and him next to his bed stayed consistent.
Currently, it was a picture of their first day of high school. Bakugo had been a nervous wreck, but hadn’t told anyone to not seem vulnerable. Of course, he had told Ichiko though. She comforted him that morning, and held his hand secretly the entire subway ride there.
The picture was in front of Midoriya household, the two of them smiling. Katsuki smiled back, loving the way she held onto his arm tightly. Something she had made a habit of since the day she met when she had pulled him around the amusement park, never letting go.
Bakugo wished that she hadn’t let go… ever.
He rolled back over and closed his eyes, thinking of good things in his life. He tried to imagine a world where Ichiko and he became heroes at UA together, then moved in together and got married. At UA, they would sneak into each other’s rooms and skip classes to make out.
They would sit next to each other in class, exchange notes, and would be THE couple in the school. She’d be his, and everyone would know it. Nobody would touch her, and she wouldn’t leave him. There would be no reason to… ever. And to this thought, Bakugo fell asleep soundlessly.
About an hour passed until Bakugou rose, the light from the sunset peaking through his windows. He opened the curtains and sighed, remembering everything from the past day. He remade his bed and began to sit down on the small couch in his room when he heard his mother scream his name.
He dropped his video game controller in a rush and ran to the stairs to see his mother running around. “Keys!! I need my keys!! Oh honey, get my wallet just in case. And my mask, in case there’s sick people. Dang, we should have gotten flowers, right?”
He watched as his mom ran around the house, gathering her things in a spasm as his father ran behind her, trying to help. “What’s going on?” Bakugo asked in his low tone, trying to hide the worry and concern in his voice. “Izuku and Ichiko are at the hospital! I must drive Inko there now!”
Bakugo’s eyes lit up in horror as he ran down to face his mother. “The hell! This is why I said we should have worried about her?! Is she hurt? I’m coming with you!” He screamed loudly as she returned with the same tone.
“Nonsense! Inko is emotionally unstable and so are you! You will do nothing but cause trouble! Surely there’s footage of it on somewhere, now move! I must hurry!” Mitsuki grabbed her purse, kissed her husband, and ran out.
“It’s for the best buddy. Let’s watch the news, there must be something about it on there.” Bakugo’s father calmly walked to the tv and turned it on. Surely enough, there it was. In fact, it was everywhere. You had apparently gone viral.
Bakugo watched the security footage, frozen as if he were a statue. It showed Izuku leaning against the tunnel, about to use his phone when he turned and heard something in the tunnel. He began walking towards it when Ichiko arrived.
With his back to her, she couldn’t see him as she looked around. In the corner of the tunnel, you could see the sludge slithering around Izuku, and covering his mouth.
Ichiko called him, and then the sludge appeared in front of her, holding Izuku. The crowd around them backed away, terrified, as Ichiko fell back in shock. She stared at her brother who was suffocating, and then the large mass of adults that stared, doing nothing.
She stood back up, and raised her hand to the villain. It began wiggling in pain, moving uneasily, until it finally dropped Izuku all together and sludged away. Ichiko ran to her brother and dropped to her knees as the crowd surrounded her.
She shook him a few times as she cried, before being hugged by a hero everyone knew as Mt. Lady. Suddenly reporters got in her face, almost yelling at her as her tears just kept coming. Katsuki’s blood began to boil.
Finally, Deku was put into an ambulance with Mt. Lady, while All Might flew her out of view while talking to her. The footage then ended as it zoomed out to show three reporters shown at a desk in front.
“Hey Patricia, isn’t that the schoolgirl from earlier that got attacked by the sludge monster and saved by All Might?” The dark-skinned news anchor in the middle asked the woman on her left.
“Yes it is. Sources are saying that the victim of this attack is her twin brother who is currently in medical care, but the sludge monster thought it was her and its motive was revenge this time.” The blonde explained to the camera as Bakugo felt his face growing red.
“That fucker! This is all his fault! It’s all his fault! It’s all his fault!” He threw the pillow across the room angrily, trying not to set anything on fire as he threw his tantrum. “I’m going to the hospital! I need to talk to her!” Bakugo put on his shoes before his dad grabbed his shoulder.
“You heard your mother! You leave this place and you’re grounded for the next five months!” He explained as Katsuki lightly pushed him back. “You’re insane! The next five months will mean nothing if she’s not okay!”
Katsuki began yelling, and then something that had never happened before happened. His father began yelling as well. “Her brother is in urgent care! What makes you think that she is capable of talking to a hot-head like you?!”
Katsuki stopped, staring at his father. “She doesn’t want to see you at a time like this! You’re loud and angry and you don’t know how to help people emotionally! What are you going to do when she needs a shoulder to cry on?! Yell at her?!”
As tears began to build up in Katsuki’s eyes, he grabbed the nearest jacket on the coat rack and ran out, forgetting one of his shoes. He didn’t care. His dad was right, and at the same time, so wrong.
Sure, to everyone else, Katsuki was the biggest jerk. But with you, he was different, and only they knew that. He had helped her through her dad leaving, fought off bullies when they were younger, and had let you cry when their cat died. Nobody else knew that, but it was the truth.
Bakugo didn’t care, he just ran. He passed the skate park where you had taught him how to skate, noticing a few people but not paying attention. He passed the abandoned house where they explored each Halloween, and had even broken your arm when falling through the floor.
Finally, he arrived at the beach, not sure how he got there. It was at least a mile and a half away, not to add it was dark and too quiet. But Bakugo didn’t care, at least he was alone. He let the tears fall, accepting them as he watched the ocean.
Unpredictable and dangerous… like himself? It was obvious Katsuki didn’t deserve you, but at the same time, no one did. At least Bakugo knew you wanted him back, and he could give you the life you wanted. He knew what you liked, and what you didn’t.
Heck, he knew you better than you did.
He sat on the rock, watching the water flow under him, as he thought of you, and all the things you both had done together. There were all the beach visits, the field trips, the play dates, the school dances, and everything in between.
Before Bakugo could turn back, voices in the back took him out of his train of thought. He turned to see a biker and a skateboarder. The same people at the skate park actually.
He thought nothing out of it, until he heard your voice. “Watch out!!” You yelled as you held onto a jump rope that was tied to his dirt bike. He rode around a large street corner, swinging you around. You giggled cutely, enjoying every second of it.
“Faster!! Faster!!” You yelled as he laughed at your excitement, continuing to accelerate. Bakugo couldn’t believe his eyes. Your brother was in the hospital, you had broken things off with him, and you were hanging out with some douche?
Who was the black-haired kid who pulled you anyways? Was it someone from school? Why didn’t he recognize them? It was nobody on your swim team, and nobody on your volleyball team… Who was he? That should have been Bakugo…
Angrily, Bakugo was about to yell out, before you pulled around a corner and left his view of sight. Bakugo got up, shook the sand off himself, and sighed frustratingly. He would find out who that was if it killed him.
~~
Kirishima and you rode around the city streets, surely making more noise then you were supposed to. But of course, you couldn’t help but laugh hysterically when he turned corners. And your laugh was so cute, he couldn’t help but join.
After all the drama of the day, you needed this. You needed to be able to let go and have fun, especially with a nice stranger who had no idea about any of the incidents of the day. Finally, he stopped in front of an apartment complex.
“Come on, I have something to show you.” He whispered, chaining his bike to the nearby lamppost. You picked up your bike and began to follow him up the sidewalk and to the back of the tall building.
For a second, you felt awkward, like he was going to try something absurd or sexual. That was, until he showed you a ladder going all the way up. “Lady’s first.” He smiled, grabbing your hand and helping you up like a gentleman.
You couldn’t help but blush. How dumb to think that such a sweetheart could act so wrong. Kiri was a good person, one of the few in the world in fact. He climbed after you, making sure to assure you whenever your balance got wobbly.
“Don’t worry! I climb up here all the time! It’s actually really stable.” He explained, blushing as he accidentally looked up your uniform skirt. It had been purely accidental, but it surely made him feel okay with falling off the ladder to his death. Hot damn.
Finally, you made it to the roof and laid down, not letting go of Kiri’s hand once he joined you. “Trust me. I go up here every weekend to see the stars. Up there, it’s the north star. And over there is the bull.”
He pointed to the sky, but you couldn’t help but stare at him. “Tell me about yourself Kiri.” You whispered, laying down. He turned to you, blushing as he slowly laid down with you. “I… Well, I go to Mustafa Private Middle School. I’m good with grades, but they could be better.”
You nodded, watching his face as he continued. “I’m average. My friends are average. My family is pretty average, except for the fact that they’re lesbians and I’m an only child. My quirk isn’t that flashy. I’m just… not special.”
You frowned a little, before noticing hair in front of Kirishima’s face. Using your soft, delicate fingers, you moved the hair out of his face and tucked it behind his ears. “I think you're special. Plus, being basic isn’t the worst.”
Kirishima’s face began to resemble a tomato as he turned to you, desperate to change the subject. “What do you mean by that?” He asked as you sighed, staring at the sky.
“I… Have you seen the news recently?” You asked as he gave you a confused glance. “Not really, I-“ Kirishima’s eyes widened as he looked at you again. Curly green hair to match your beautiful green eyes. The schoolgirl outfit, and of course, the scars on your knees.
“You’re the girl!! The one who… dang you’ve had a busy day.” Kirishima smiled, beginning to laugh lightly. You looked at him, somewhat shocked by his reaction. “Seriously?” You asked, smiling back at him.
“Yea. I’m not going to treat you differently because of it. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of that at home and school. With me, you’re still Ichiko.” He grinned, showing his fanged shark teeth smile.
You grinned, laying down again as you continued to stare at the stars. “So what about you? Tell me about your life, besides today’s news drama and all that.” Kirishima laid next to you, this time closer. You liked it…
“Well, this week itself has been weird. My childhood best friend told me he loved me, and I said I loved him back.” You explained, not noticing Kirishima’s eyes widen in worry. Did you have a boyfriend? Did you really love him? Did he not have a chance?
“I do love him, but at the same time, something happened. Anyways, we were going to… do something, and my brother came to get me and interrupted us. He didn’t see anything though.”
Kirishima sighed, thankful for your brother interrupting. It obviously was that something was.
“Anyways, my friend got upset and made his friends send my brother all these terrible things about killing himself. This morning, they texted him to meet and they beat him up behind the school. I found out, and lashed out on my friend. I promised to never speak to him again, and I ran out.”
Kirishima nodded as you both now sat up, staring at each other. “So that’s why you were there when that thing attacked you. You had walked out of class.” Kirishima finished your story as you nodded, impressed by him.
“Yeah, pretty much. Then I ran off, chilled on a rooftop for sometime, and then my brother called me to meet up. You know what happened next. That was pretty much the last two days for me.”
Kirishima nodded, understanding before you turned to him to see him smiling. “What are you looking at?” You asked, smirking as he playfully rolled his eyes. “Oh nothing. I’m just glad you and your brother are both safe.”
You began smiling at his genuine statement, suddenly overwhelmingly happy because of him. “You’re too sweet.” You smiled, before suddenly feeling the urge to lean in. Sure, you had just met him, but the atmosphere felt so right.
You both leaned it, wanting it so much, as your lips finally collided. It was just for a short second, but it felt so right. You were about to deepen it when a clock went off on the apartment under you.
“It is Midnight! It is Midnight!” A small china cat with a clock on its stomach rang through your ears from under you. “I better get back home. I have school tomorrow.” You explained, sad to separate your lips from his.
“How disappointing.” He murmured, smiling ear to ear with a blush on his cheeks. You two made your way down the iron ladder and back to the bike and skateboard. What you noticed was that you were holding onto his arm the entire way, like you would with Katsuki.
You helped him put on his helmet, which was weirdly romantic by itself, and began riding back. Without the rope, you rode next to him the entire time, doing tricks and skating close to him just to giggle. When you finally made it to your house, you were kind of sad.
“Hey Kiri. I have a question.” You asked, picking up your board and walking over to him. “Yes?” He responded, twisting his head in a cute, curious way. “Where are you going to high school?” You asked as he began to blush big-time.
“Well, right now I don’t know and I’m trying to figure it out because I don’t know what I want to do with my life but I also know what my dream is but I don’t know if my dream is possible and-“ You put your finger to his lips as he stopped suddenly.
“If your dream is to go to UA, which I can tell by that little sticker on the back of your bike, you should learn to just say it. Plus, I’m going to try and go to UA as well. We should help each other. I think it’ll be a perfect way to… get close.”
You both blushed at that last part as he began looking at the ground. “I’d… I’d love that. If I’m going to start being not average, I need not average friends! And you’re… definitely not average by all means.” He smiled at you as you grinned innocently.
“Well then, you’ll be needing this.” You took out a pen from your backpack and wrote your number on his hand in pen. “I’ll text you… we should meet up tomorrow and chill, maybe even work out our quirks.” You suggested as he gave the thumbs up.
“I… I look forward to that!!” He exclaimed as you couldn’t help but giggle, blushing a lot from how flirty you both were being. “Well… see you then.” Without thinking, you bent down and pecked him on the cheek before turning away quickly and running inside.
Kirishima stayed there, placing his hand on his cheek as his mind became invaded with images of you. So cute, and yet you were into him? No, he couldn’t assume, but it was safe to make it possible.
Finally, he began to peddle off, not noticing the green-haired boy staring in the window.
Just half an hour ago, Izuku had been staring out the window intensely, waiting for his sister.. He had just been at the hospital, and as much as his mother tried to help, he wanted to see you. He wanted to see that you were safe, and he wanted you to see that he was safe.
He could only hope that you hadn’t blamed yourself, and weren’t feeling guilty. Surely you were sulking, feeling shame and pity, thinking it was your fault that he had been attacked. But that simply wasn’t true, and he needed you to know that.
He kept watching, until he heard the doorbell. Was that you? He hadn’t seen you come from the driveway. He made his way down the hall, freezing when he heard Katsuki’s voice. What was he doing here!?
“Oh, Katsuki dear. It’s late, is everything okay?” Inko asked innocently, unaware of a single ounce of the daily drama between her children and the boy standing before her. “Oh, yeah. I was just wondering if Ichiko made her way home yet. I wanted to talk to her.”
Izuku made a fist, his blood rising to his face as he became furious. Why did he want to speak to you this late? And how did he know you weren’t home? Was everything alright? Oh god, maybe you had hurt herself terribly.
“No, she’s doing her own thing right now. You’ll see her tomorrow, right?” Inko asked as Bakugo became angry. Izuku watched him, hidden behind the corner. Why was Katsuki so angry? He knew you liked doing her own thing at night.
The conversation between them ended, and Izuku continued back to window-watching. It wasn’t as if he had anything better to do then wait for his one and only friend to come home. As time passed, he began to get worried. It turned midnight before he saw any movement down our street.
There skated Ichiko… and a biking figure. With black hair, a black shirt, and baggy blue jeans, it was someone Izuku didn’t recognize at all, not to mention it was too dark to see his face.
They talked for a bit, both blushing tremendously as you stood there at the edge of the driveway, lit up by the porch light.
Out of curiosity, he cracked the window to listen in. “Plus, I’m going to try and go to UA as well. We should help each other. I think it’ll be a perfect way to… get close.” You both looked at the ground, embarrassed. “I’d… I’d love that.” He responded, a voice filled with light and happiness.
Izuku backed up, unable to comprehend what he was hearing. UA was one of the biggest high schools in the world that trained the youth as future hero students. Hero students… with amazing quirks. Something Izuku didn’t have.
He knew you had an amazing quirk, it was one of your best features. You were practically worshipped for it wherever you went. The ability to turn any item into melted droplets of it and then move it around before turning it into his original state.
Yet, were you UA quality? UA was for the powerful, confident people with the potential to save the world. Fuck, you were perfect for UA. But would you really leave Izuku for UA?
Heck… you left him after he was attacked by a villain for some boy that wasn’t even Bakugo. Izuku wasn’t mad, but he couldn’t help but overthink drastically. Were you growing away from him? Maybe you blamed him for everything. He did too.
The last straw was then when you leaned in and kissed the boy’s cheek. You both blushed, and it was obvious you shared common interests in each other, even from an outsider. You quickly ran inside, very flustered as he held his cheek in awe.
Upset, Izuku began to get up and fix his wrinkled shirt and shorts. Yet, as he went to close the blinds and hide any evidence that he had been watching, he saw movement in the corner of his eye.
From the other side of the street and a few houses down, Bakugo stared at the boy on the bike, a bouquet of flowers in his hand. Slowly, the flowers began to burn until they turned to dust. That look, Izuku thought. That look of hatred…

Tamirio angst for @fandoms-food-and-thunderstorms , I've never written this ship but not do I consume a lot of fics for it, so here we go!
. . .
• Icarus •
Cw// angst with no happy ending , an almost panic attack kinda , foul language
"Mirio?" A gentle call from the shadows of their shared bedroom. He'd woken up alone and cold, too early for the other to have left for work.
"Kitchen." The sing song voice rang back, scaring away the anxious swirling feeling that had made their home in his heart.
"Why're you up?" Tamaki's own sleep riddled tone. Called back, arms still tense with nerves wrapping around the waist of the other, his heavy head resting on Mirio's back.
"Big day today, I was too excited." Mirio hummed back, the sizzling sound of pancake batter finally reaching the shorter man's ears.
"Oh." Tamaki hummed back, tired eyes drifting to the steady clock that ticked away by their fridge, "Mirio, you don't go in until 7, that's six hours away."
A silent plea for the other to come back to bed. His hands grasping and releasing the sides a Mirio's shirt to keep himself firmly planted. A quite hum building in the back of his throat as he waited for the other to respond.
"No it was bumped up. I go in at 5." Mirio sang back, his pile of pancakes growing.
"What? Why didn't you say anything?" Tamaki mumbled pulling away from Mirio's back to hold himself in the cold of the morning kitchen.
"Didn't want to worry you." Mirio hummed with a soft look, carefully placing his pancakes and two extra plates on their little table, scratched and covered in paint from various activities.
"I would have been very afraid when I woke up at 6 this morning Mirio." Tamaki grumbled, finding his place at the table, pulling Mirio's jacket from the back and pulling it over his shoulders.
"I'm sorry love. I forgot you woke up so late." Mirio laughed, his voice a soothing melody in the small room, "Syrup?"
"Please." Tamaki sighed allowing the conversation to die.
"I'm sorry Tamaki." Mirio mumbled around a mouthful of food childishly.
A soft laugh floated from the other, "It's okay."
Tamaki found himself wrapped in their blankets watching Mirio run around their room far too early. The neon clock flashing with hours they shouldn't be awake for. His quite protests quickly dismissed with a soft kiss between his brows.
"When do you go in today sunshine?" Mirio asked pulling at the spandex that incased his muscles.
The name was new, something Mirio had initially teased him with he found out how Tamaki saw him. But the furious blush that danced down the column of his neck made the blond unlikely to stop.
"I'm off today." Tamaki mumbled from the warmth of his blankets, his eyes heavy. They'd talked about it yesterday over dinner but Tamaki wasn't mad he'd forgotten. Mirio had always been fixated on his job as a hero.
"Oh, sorry sunshine I think I forgot." Mirio laughed, a hand running through his blond locks and his eyes crinkling with his smile.
"I love you." Tamaki whispered back, mostly asleep, his arms wrapped around the pillow that still smelled like Mirio's shampoo.
"I'll see you next week Sunshine, maybe see if Kirishima is off and you two can catch up. It's been a while hasn't it?" Mirio hummed, placing another wet kiss on Tamaki's cheek and adjusting the blankets.
A slender pale hand shot out from the blankets, it's soft flesh morphing into a slimy pink octopus tentacles, his eyes widening and his words tumbling out of his mouth so much louder than before.
"Next week? What are you talking about Mirio?" The skin on his neck rippling with gills like the fish Tamaki had snacked on just before bed.
"Tamaki?" Mirio laughed awkwardly, his hand struggling in the grasp of his lover.
"Mirio, you didn't say you were leaving." Tamaki's eyes burned with swirling emotions he didn't know how to fully process.
"I didn't?"
"No."
A thick silence wrapped around them, Tamaki's voice caught in his chest, the tears that had built up behind his eyes tracking down his face. His arm fading away to just his hand loosely wrapped around Mirio's own.
"You're going to be late." Tamaki finally croaked, pulling the blankets over his head to hide from the sun that shone too brightly that morning.
"Oh you're right." Mirio sighed, his shoulders fallen and his eyes uncertain, "I love you."
Amajiki's form shaking with tears he'd learned to silence far too young. A garbled response Mirio could only hope was an echo of his own. Togata waited by the front door, some part of him waiting for Tamaki to kiss him goodbye like he always did. With the heavy click of the front door Amajiki openly cried, his hands whipping furiously at his eyes. His hands fumbled for the phone charging by his bed side.
"What the fuck do you want?" Bakugo's angry tone cut through the line.
"I," Tamaki wasn't expecting Bakugo his chest feeling impossibly tight as a sob ripped from his lips, "Kirishima."
"Shit, shit Amajiki, Eijirou isn't home he left his phone at home today. He's on patrol. Shit." The muffled sound of blankets being thrown aside reminded Tamaki how early it actually was.
"I'm sorry. So sorry." Tamaki whispered, "Nevermind."
"No, no, fuck. It's fucking fine okay? Just, give me a minute." Bakugo hissed, a soft thud and another muffled swear followed, "Fucking bed frame, get the hell out of my way."
A watery laugh ripped from Tamaki, his hands gripping at the weighted blanket that held him in place. Bakugo breathed out an airy imitation at the sound.
"I texted Fat, He'll let Red take off as soon as he can. In the mean time I'm headed fucking over there. Okay? Can I hang up, or do you need me to fucking keep talking or whatever." Amajiki could hear the stress mounting in Katsuki's voice, the explosive blond struggling to comfort his lover's good friend and idol.
"I'm okay." Tamaki whispered back, his tears still tracking down soft cheeks but the suffocating feeling much less.
"Fucking great." Bakugo spat through the line, a beep of finality echoing after.
He arrived too quickly. His hair windblown and his clothes smelling vaguely of nitroglycerin smoke when he wrapped muscular arms around the narrower man's shoulders. The action he'd seen Kirishima preform time and time again when Amajiki was falling into pieces, melting against the heat of the sun.
"Have you eaten?" Bakugo grumbled into hair that reminded him of Kirishima's when time escaped him.
"Yeah." Tamaki whispered back, slouched into Katsuki's arms. A far cry from Mirio but enough to keep the sinking feeling at bay.
"Mind if I make something? Ei ran off yesterday without dinner and I was going to bring him breakfast at the office. He'll be a beast by the time he gets here."
"Don't mind, I'll help." Tamaki smiled a watery smile pulling himself away from the blond that he had no claim to other than he was married to Kirishima. Bakugo was man of snarls and clashing teeth, brash words and vulgar gestures to the media. Behind closed doors Katsuki struggled to tamp down the anger that pulsed through his veins and the energy around him became fiercely protective of those he'd decided were worth his time.
"Alright." Bakugo nodded curtly, pushing up the sleeves of his Red Riot sweater, older than the first official line, a fan item that Kirishima had loved so much he'd contacted the artist.
Neither had much to say, the words between them few and far between but the quite presence of the other brought a content feeling of understanding. Bakugo tapped the knife against the cutting board before he spoke each time, a subconscious warning Tamaki wasn't sure if it was purposeful or not.
"Do you want to fucking, talk about it or whatever?" Bakugo finally choaked out, he'd never been good at comforting others but he tried and Amajiki supposed that's all that really mattered.
"I just overacted, sometimes loving Mirio is like flying straight into the sun." Tamaki sighed in that poetic way Kirishima could go on about for hours after their joint patrols.
"I understand." Bakugo laughed back in a short barkish manner, "Ei sees the world a lot differently than me sometimes."
"I feel like I'm holding him back Bakugo." Tamaki finally sighed after a moment, his head hitting the counter by the sizzling pan he'd been watching.
"You're not." Bakugo shot back curtly, gently as he could, nudging him away to take over the pan.
"How do you know?"
"Eijirou had said the same thing. And I'd rather be a quirkless nerd than Dynamite without Red Riot. We're a pair and I love that damn idiot. And it's clear your idiot loves you." Bakugo scoffed.
"Mirio's not an idiot." Tamaki grumbled, half heartedly glaring at the blond who moved to set the table after his buzzed with a little message from Kirishima.
"Tch, and that's why I'm here cooking my fiance breakfast here, instead of our own home. It's 7 am and I'm already tired of today's shit. It's my day off." Bakugo barked more to the open space around them than the other pro hero.
"I'm sorry." Tamaki moaned from where he'd hidden his head in the table, the over sized jacket pulled over his head to hide his eyes.
"Don't do that. I'm just fucking talking don't think too hard about it dumbass." Bakugo floundered for what to say, his crimsion eyes darting to the door that had just swung open. Candy red meeting his own with a tired smile.
"Katsuki, it's not manly to yell at my friends."
"Eijirou." All the harsh edges of the blond fell away for just a moment when the red head made his presence known.
"Sap." Kirishima snorted, "How're you doin Amajiki?"
"Better." Tamaki smiled anxiously from the table, his hands pulling at the loose fabric that swallowed him.
"Good. I'm starving is any of that for me?" Eijirou smiled all pointed teeth and mirth.
"Whatever."
"Yes, Bakugo and I made it."
"So manly." Kirishima celebrated finding his place at the table with a heavy thud. Bakugo's nimble fingers unclasping his lover's mask before he chaffed his face unnecessarily with his chewing.
"You're a sun too Bakugo." Tamaki noted from where he picked at the pan seared fish in front of him.
"Say it again and I'll fucking blow up your face." Bakugo snarled, the mask he still held promptly dropped onto the table unceremoniously.
An uncomfortable laugh ripped from the older man, as he shook his head, "Maybe not then."
"You're so mean dude." Kirishima sighed, his hand reaching across to squeeze Bakugo's before he turned his entire frame to face Tamaki, "So what's going on then?"
"Mirio." Tamaki whispered, his eyes darting between the two sets of brilliant red and focusing on the magnets that decorated his fridge instead.
"Obviously Amajiki, but what about him." Kirishima snorted playfully.
"He didn't tell me he was leaving for an entire week. Or that he had to leave two hours earlier this morning." Tamaki groaned, his eyes fixated on the clock that showed it had only just past seven.
He should've only just woken up an hour ago. He should've walked Mirio to the door, kieed him goodbye and wished for his quick return.
"Isn't he going with fucking Deku?" Katsuki called from around a mouthful of food.
"I," Tamaki looked at the blond from the corner of his eye, "I don't know. Mirio never said anything about even leaving for more than just his shift today."
"Midoriya is leaving Japan for an entire month Amajiki." Kirishima said softly uncertainty dripping into every edge of his words.
Suddenly, big fat tears were rolling down the raven's face. His food pushed away and his head heavily thudded against the table. Shoulders shaking and his quirk rippling with fish like features all over his skin.
"Please don't cry Amajiki, it's going to be okay, maybe he's doing something else." Kirishima tried to amend too late.
"They always do big things together, their agency trusts their ability to level each other out." Katsuki grumbled, "That asshole."
"Stop it." Tamaki pleaded, "Don't talk about Mirio that way."
"Tch." Bakugo tore his eyes away from the pair. Kirishima's arms that could stop a racing train and crush a building always held on so delicately to the people wrapped in his arms. An ability he would be lying if he said he wasn't a little jealous of occasionally.
Breakfast fell into a stiff silence, Kirishima's voice filling the void as best he could, the words dancing theought the air like fire in a dead forest, every misstep brought a new wave of suffering to Amajiki's features. By the time the two left Tamaki had dried his tears and even managed to laugh a few times at the antics of his young friends.
"I'll see you tomorrow for our patrol, yeah?" Kirishima asked squeezing Tamaki's hand.
"Yeah."
The door shut behind them and for the first time in a while Tamaki felt alone and cold. His sunshine covered by a fog he couldn't chase away. He could feel himself slipping and pulling away, the heat of Mirio's smile left him spiraling towards an ocean he could never hope to tame.
"Maybe we were better as friends." Mirio's voice echoed in Tamaki's mind even though the other had never said the words to him. The face that brought him so much joy was haunting his dreams and ripping his heart from his chest as every hour past a week ticked by and his phone had yet to ring with his lover's voice.
Dread was mounting as week two clicked by, maybe he wasn't coming back. Suneater, but the last thing he wanted to do was steal Mirio's light so he stayed patiently waiting in their cold bed.
"Tamaki." Mirio boomed after too long, his muscular frame racing closer to Amajiki and Kirishima as they walked their patrol route.
"I'm sorry Togata Sensei but please stop there." Kirishima glared from where he'd moved to stand in front of Tamaki.
"Kirishima, what's going on?" Mirio's head cocked to the side like a dog would.
"Mirio?" Tamaki whispered, eyes red with familiar tears and arms wrapped firmly around himself, his hair a mess and his eyes tired.
"Sunshine." Mirio hummed with a warm, carefree smile, "I missed you."
"You could've called." Tamaki didn't move from where he stood behind the younger, he didn't walk into the open arms waiting for him.
"I was busy Tamaki." Mirio sighed.
"You said just a week." Amajiki shot back the quiet anger that had bubbled beneath his skin for an entire month was beginning to surface.
"I didn't realize-"
"Don't lie to me." Tamaki nearly shouted, his hero voice invading into their domestic conversation, something he'd never done before. Mirio flinched and Kirishima's brows furrowed with worry.
"Sunshine, I didn't mean to."
"I think we were better as friends." The words that had pounded around his head for weeks were calling from his lips and he couldn't stop them. He'd been hurting and his sun wasn't there to chase it away.
"Is that what you want?" Mirio whispered pushing past Kirishima to grab Tamaki's hands.
No
"Yes."
"For you love, I'll do anything to make you happy." Mirio smiled so softly despite the sheen of tears in his eyes. Amajiki cried openly as he watched his only lover and best friend disappear all over again.
He'd flown too close to the sun. He would laugh if he knew how to make the tears stop. A bitter sweet feeling of being the Icarus.
. . .
This got away from me honestly. I had to sneak in some subtle KiriBaku where I could. Also one of my favourite angst things is lovers to strangers. So that's what I tried to protray here, I hope you enjoyed! <3

The Call of a Siren- Chapter Four
Chapter One / Two / Three
Tumblr media
A/N: Here is the promised longer chapter! You'll notice I changed some minor things, something I will occasionally do as most writers. Once again, if anyone is interested in beta reading please DM me! Enjoy!
I don't own My Hero Academia. I only own my own characters and the story I create within Horikoshi's masterpiece of a world I'd love to live in.
The next day was more of a normal school day. Well, almost.
Present Mic was going on and on about proper grammar of the sentences he would write and adjust on the board for fifteen minutes before Delia zoned out. She didn’t get much sleep as yesterday’ s fitness tests scores bothered her still. She was second to last which only reminded her of her lack of experience using her quirk. Once again, she felt frustrated being raised in an ‘anti-quirk’ home. Everyone else except Midoriya and herself had years of training and time to figure out their abilities but at the very least Midoriya had All Might. She had no one.
“Oi brat! Stop doing that!” Angry boy hissed in her ear. She jolted in her seat before realizing she was rapidly clicking her pen - a habit of hers when deep in thought. Delia lifted her pen slightly so he could see it and clicked it a few more times aggressively before putting it down on her desk.
Then he kicked her chair leg a bit when Present Mic turned around to write more sentences on the board. Bastard.  Just another happy reminder that she sat in front of Bakugo which was already proving to be the pain in the ass she figured it would be when assigned. She curled her hands around the edge of the desk to prevent from turning in her seat to kick him in the shins.
She was practically bouncing to get out of her seat for hero training just to get a break from sitting in the same room for the past few hours. That was one thing she probably wouldn't come to love- staying in the same classroom for multiple classes rather than back home she would change classrooms with each subject - something she liked due to stretching her legs, changing seats, different people, and getting away from the asshole who kicks her chair when she annoys him.
“ I AM HERE!” All Might rushed in with his booming voice, “COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!”
Everyone immediately sat up in their seats in excitement that the number one hero was...well coming through the door like a hero! The class practically jumped out of their seats they were so excited.
“I can't believe it's really All Might.”
“So he really is a teacher! This year is gonna be totally awesome!”
All Might marched right over to the podium as the class took in his choice to wear his Silver Age costume which was pretty cool. He announced that he will be teaching ‘Hero-ing 101’ and that today he was starting off with battle training.
“Fight training!” Bakugo growled out excitedly while Midoriya countered with a nervous “Real combat?”
“But one of the keys of being a hero is looking good!” He swept his giant arm towards the wall expanding with numbered briefcases. “These were designed for you specifically based on your Quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started. So everyone grab your assigned cases by your number and get to the locker rooms! Meet me at Training Ground Beta!”
The girls around her were chatting away while opening their cases but Delia sat with it in her lap for a few moments.
“Wow, you guys look great.” Delia said to the girls. Momo Yaoyorozu was dressed in a simple red leotard with a chunky yellow utility belt and short red boots. Mina Ashido gave her a twirl in her new costume of a cute camo-like body suit of teal and purple with a short cropped fuzzy jacket. It was random out of context but given what little she had seen of the bubbly girl - it weirdly worked. Kyoka Jiro rocked ripped jeans, a long coral shirt, black jacket with a popped collar, and what looked like giant chunky boots with a speaker in them. Tsuyu Asui was a ‘frog’ personified in a black and green suit with webbed feet and giant goggles on her head. Lastly, Ochaco Uraraka looked like an adorable astronaut in her pink and black suit with her cute oversized boots and wrist accents. Yaoyorozu smiled at her compliment, “Thank you. Why aren’t you getting dressed?”
“Are you nervous, Bell?” Asui asked her, looking concerned.
Delia pulled on her neck, “A bit, yeah. But I’ll be fine.” Ashido let out a small squeal and nudged her, “Well then put on your costume! We wanna see you looking great with us!”
Delia bit her lip before clicking open the clasps to reveal her new costume she spent months trying to create. Blowing air out her cheeks, she stood up and placed it on the bench to start dressing. “Here goes nothing.”
“They say that clothes make the pros young ladies and gentlemen, and behold, you are the proof!” All Might stood a few feet ahead of them as they entered Training Ground Beta. “Take this to heart. From now on you are all...heroes in training!”
Everyone was checking out one another's costumes as they walked. The guys looked great except Mineta’s looked like he was in a diaper so that was an odd choice. When she saw Midoriya run out she almost facepalmed. Way to be obvious dude. The simplistic green and red design was fine but the hood part of it resembled too much of his all time favorite person. Her eyes kept scanning until it landed on the person practically foaming at the mouth to start.
If she had to be honest with herself, she would say he had one of the best costumes but she wouldn’t tell him that. He wore a tight tank top with a large orange ‘X’ in front, a belt with what looked like grenades on the side, some hardcore knee pads, then down to some heavy duty boots. The giant grenade gauntlets hooked on each arm looked heavy so she hoped he could take them off in a tight spot. She let out a small snort... Of course the boy with anger management problems would resemble a human grenade.
Biting her lip, she looked down at herself wondering if her costume matched her the same way. She pulled her hair up in a high ponytail mostly for practical purposes. She wore a high collar but sleeveless open shirt that was hooked to her by a small silver belt under her chest. She was wearing a silver strapless swim top underneath as well as black small swim shorts that could be seen as well because her thick skirt was cut into three large panels- two on each hip covering her sides and partly her backside and then one straight down the middle with a medium silver utility belt fastening it to her person. One of her favorite pieces was her, as she liked to call them, her ‘ass kicking boots’ that went to midthigh and had thick non-slip soles and a slight wedge heel. Plus, they were pretty with their silver intricate designs.  She also had silver gauntlets on her arms. The coolest feature was her water storage system. In the event, she was without any water near her to use her quirk she had compartments built into her suit. Every silver accent and design on her clothes like her boots, shorts, belts, and gauntlets were made of some ridiculously strong but flexible material that was hollowed and filled with water that she could pull from or store for emergencies. It wasn’t a massive amount but was enough for a quick emergency whip or two. Plus, everything was in a shade of dark azure blue. She felt like a water warrior.
Momo Yaoyorozu came over to her and knocked her with her hip, smiling. “Told you. You look great and it seems some others are taking notice.” She subtly nodded off the side where Angry Boy was standing diligently. Delia frowned because she had no idea what she was talking about but before she could open her mouth to say that she heard weird breathing down behind them.
“God, I love this school.” They turned to see Mineta standing way too close and way too happy.
“Okay, that’s just wonderful. Go love the school from over there, please.” Delia pointed to the group of others gathered a couple feet away. Yaoyorozu even went as far to actually ‘shoo’ him with hand gestures like he was a bug. That had Delia cracking up which prompted Momo to start giggling with her as he trudged over to the other group when All Might cleared his throat to signify class was starting. The class promptly lined up to face the number one hero.
“Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training!”
______________________________________________________
As they got settled in the monitoring room, she introduced herself to her partner for the exercise today. She spotted him a few feet from her in a martial arts costume and noted that he was the kid with the really big tail. Delia walked right up to him and stuck her hand out, “Hi, I’m Delia Bell. Looks like you’re stuck with me today for the ‘mission.’” She used air quotes for that last word jokingly.
“Oh hey! I’m Mashirao Ojiro. Happy to be stuck with you.” He joked back. “So I think we should watch this first run and get some idea of our strategy, sound good?”
“Agreed.” With that, they turned to the screen as the first mission started. Unfortunately, her excitement abated because she had a really bad feeling considering who was involved in this group as Midoriya and Uraraka walked through the building.
After a few turned corners, it started...then never really stopped. The class was on the edge of their seats after Midoriya laid Bakugo out flat on the floor and declared his hero name, “Deku.” Despite the escalating situation, Delia smiled proudly as Midoriya basically gave Bakugo the finger as he took back the name that was used to hurt him and stood his ground. Unfortunately, this only encouraged Bakugo to continue with full force. Midoriya then used his impatience to trick him again with the capture tape they were given before the match and ducked under another explosive punch before running down the corridor.
“The little guy’s really good!” The boy in a yellow bodysuit standing beside Jiro commented.
“He’s holding his own and he hasn’t even used his quirk yet!” The boy dressed in what looked like a tape dispenser helmet (?) said impressed.
We watched as Midoriya ran from Bakugo until he was completely lost to him. Bakugo began to yell furiously, “DAMMIT! You were tricking me for years by acting weak! Bet you’ve been laughing behind my back, huh?” If this idiot only knew…
“Come out and face me you coward!” Bakugo was blowing up doors left and right but walking with such arrogance, Delia was surprised his giant sized ego could fit through the door.
Meanwhile, Uraraka finally reached Iida who again proved his intelligence by hiding everything in the room that she could possibly float and use against him. She snickered when she heard Iida’s ‘evil voice’ while calling Uraraka a ‘do-gooder,’ What a dork.
“That isn’t a bad idea really.”
“What is? Hiding everything?”
“Yeah. Something to take a mental note of and I also think maybe we should try sticking together and allowing the ‘do-gooders,’ ”Delia again snickered at his impression of villain Iida, “to come to us on our home turf.”
She nodded, “Sounds like a plan to me.”
They both turned back to the screens to see Midoriya had found Bakugo who was now smiling which probably was a bad sign. “ Since you’re such a stalker, by now you probably know how my Quirk, Explosion, works. I secrete a nitroglycerin-like sweat from my hands and make it blow up. Imagine what I could do if I had a lot of it. “ He stood back into a lunge with his arm extended to the boy across from him. Oh, no . “That's right, these gauntlets aren't just for show. I’ve been storing my sweat for one monster blast.” Okay, One: Ew. Two: Mega Oh, no.
“Young Bakugo! Don’t do it! You’ll kill him!” All Might yelled into his microphone that she assumed was connected to their ear pieces.
“ He’ll be fine as long as he dodges !” Bakugo yelled right back and pulled the pin.
Delia’s hand went out to Ojiro's arm next to her as if to brace herself from what she just witnessed. He didn’t push her off as he too stared in horror at the screen.
“Whoa, whoa! This is fucking nuts!” Kirishima called out as the whole building they were in shook from the blast.
“Come in! Come in, Midoriya!” All Might was all but pressed against the screen as the dust cleared and we saw a giant hole where the walls and windows once were in the room. The class collectively sighed in relief when we heard a weak, “Is that even allowed?”
Then this goddamn psycho came out of the smoke and laughed. Laughed!
“Go ahead. Use your stupid Quirk on me, Deku.” He crouched low and smiled that disturbing smile again. He almost looked unhinged. “Even if you use everything you’ve got, you’ll never beat me.”
“Sir, isn’t this getting outta hand? That Bakugo is getting real crazy. He’s gonna kill ‘im!” Kirishima voiced Delia’s exact thoughts. The class all nodded in agreement and looked at their teacher expecting him to follow suit and shut this down.
“Not so.” Sorry, what? “Bakugo. Use that stored-up power again and I’ll stop this fight. You’re team will lose.”
“ Huh? ”
“To employ such a strong attack indoors is inviting the destruction of the stronghold you should be protecting. That’s a poor strategy, whether you’re a hero or a villain. The penalty would be a massive loss of points.”
That resulted in an angry yell before he rushed Midoriya who was talking to his partner. It seemed he had a plan though she couldn’t even see how at this point especially how her floating herself to the weapon earlier didn’t work against Iida’s speed. Midoriya threw a punch but Bakugo, in an amazing amount of speed and skill, flipped mid-air using a small blast and counter attacked from behind to hit Midoriya right in the back with a strong explosion.
“He doesn’t come off as a guy with strategy. But he’s actually quite intelligent.”
Ashido, Kirishima, and Delia took their eyes off the battle for a moment to look at the boy half covered in ice. “What’re you talkin’ about?”
“He changed his trajectory while in midair and using a blast that doubled as a smokescreen. Very clever.”
Yaoyorozu chimed in with noting his ability to understand the physics of the situation and his Quirk. Denki Kaminari, whose name she remembered only due to that Mr. Aizawa had already used it so much in a day and a half because he was a high school five year old, moaned, “Ugh, Bakugo is uber talented. I hate it.” Delia pressed her lips together because while she agreed with her classmates on Angry Boy, she was still horrified by his behavior as he continued to beat the hell out of Midoriya. This oh, so intelligent and talented boy is basically throwing a tantrum and he had the nerve to call her ‘brat.’
“This is hard to watch! All he has to do is wrap tape around him, not kill him.” Ashido cried out.
“Bakugo is certainly acting like a villain.” Tokoyami responded.
“I thought Midoriya was pretty amazing at the start of the fight, but he’s completely outmatched in terms of combat power. Not to mention, Bakugo seems like a natural at all this stuff.”
“Give him a chance.” Delia said sharply. Kaminari looked at her surprised as her tone was with more bite than she intended. “Sorry. But give him a chance.”
Delia turned back to the screen once again and saw the boys facing off again but near a different set of windows. They exchanged words then lunged at one another but this time it was different. Midoriya was finally using his Quirk and Bakugo’s hands started sparking up as well.
Delia gripped her arms harder, “All Might…”
“They’re gonna kill each other! Sir!”
The Pro hero said nothing but gripped his tiny microphone hard enough it should've been in splinters before speaking into it, “Both of you-”
“Uraraka, now!” The class looked up at the video feed of the others and the brunette grabbed hold of a pillar. All of a sudden, Midoriya punch for Bakugo went upwards creating a giant amount of force to break the ceiling above as he took on Bakugo’s explosion head on. “SMASH!”
His punch created massive amounts of debris for Uraraka to use and she used the pillar she held onto as a bat and swung the floor pieces at Iida. As he was distracted in fending off the debris, she floated herself over to the weapon thus winning the mission.
The class was entirely silent as All Might declared the hero team the winners. Was this really a win?
After a few moments, she heard Ojiro say, “Okay...we aren’t going to do that.”
_________________________________________________
“Match two! Team B will be our heroes! Team I will be the villains!”
As Ojiro stretched, Delia pulled out some water from her belt to form a whip. “Hey, I’m going to hide behind one of the pillars near the door so I can surprise them.”
He nodded, “Good idea.”
The buzzer went off.
As they braced themselves for the heroes, it turns out Shoto Todoroki had different ideas. All of a sudden, the whole room was covered in freezing ice. Her boots were stuck in ice and as she peeked around the corner of the pillar so was Ojiro's. Damn. I didn’t think he had power like this!
“This Quirk is insane.”
She may be stuck but she still had her whip which she kept moving to prevent from freezing. They both stilled when they heard footsteps.
“Pry yourself up if you want, but it might be hard to fight me with no skin on the bottom of your feet.”
“Good thing I wore boots then!” Delia kicked herself free and lashed her whip around Todoroki’s right arm which wasn’t covered in ice. His eyes widened slightly before freezing her whip around his arm but she had another one at the ready that grabbed his arm again and tugged as if to throw him back but he had stuck himself to the floor with his left side. Before she could react, he covered her body from the chest down in ice preventing Delia from doing anything more.
“The hero team winnnnnns!” All Might announced over the loudspeaker.
“Fucking dammit!” She muttered as she tried to break free of the ice. But she didn’t need to as Todoroki suddenly emitted enough heat to defrost the whole building, Ojiro gasped, “Heat, too?”
Delia scrunched her face as everything was now wet which would’ve been great if the fight was still going. “It’s not your fault. We’re just playing on different levels.” Well, damn. Thanks so much. He said it so mildly and without emotion as if it was as simple of a fact that two plus two equals four. For some reason, she couldn’t find her anger at it because he was right. Delia felt deflated as he walked right back out the door he came in. Ojiro shrugged at her, “It’s the second day. We’ll get it next time.” She attempted a small smile at his effort to not seem upset on how quickly that ended. She gathered some of the water on the floor and refilled her tanks before walking out with her partner.
They settled back in the screening room as each battle went on. Delia took the time to see everyone’s Quirk and was impressed by how power heavy the class seemed. Acid, shadow, hardening, tape, energy beams, and it went on which was great to watch but definitely put even more attention on how short her and Ojiro’s battle went. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bakugo far from the group with his gaze on the floor and teeth gritted. He was not taking this well. Maybe I wasn’t far off in the unhinged part from earlier...
Delia was half tempted to see if he was alright, which she obviously could tell he wasn’t, but pulled herself back as she did not like how he was in his battle in the slightest. The urge never went away as her classmates continued the missions and she kept one eye on the screen and the other on the boy looking on the verge of a crisis in the corner.
Finally, everyone had battled and class was dismissed with a quick congrats speech in from their teacher then an even quicker exit as he zoomed right out. Delia figured it was because he was losing his stamina at holding his form.
_____________________________________________________
Back in the classroom, Delia was putting her books in her bag when she heard the door open.
It was Midoriya who looked much better than when she saw him last. A bunch of the class ran to meet and introduce themselves to him which was a nice change of pace for him, she assumed. She doubted he was very popular in his last school considering how he and Bakugo came from the same school.
“Tokoyami! Stop using that desk as a chair!” Iida walked determinedly to the boy sitting on his desk while he talked to her former mission partner and Jiro. Jiro put her hand on her hip and said, “Dude, you need to chill.”
Ojiro pointed at him, “You’re carrying a lot of tension.”
Iida slumped forward in defeat as she walked over to the small group, “No one understands.” Delia swung herself on the desk next to Iida which caused them to laugh as she put her hand on his shoulder with comfort and some slight mocking, “It’s okay, Iida. Someday they’ll learn proper manners and respect.”
He sighed and nodded before turning to her, “Yes, well uh - Oh, c'mon!”
Delia giggled and swung her legs like a child, “I said they would. I didn’t say I would too.” She giggled again when the blue haired boy pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation before walking away.
“Hey, Bell.” She looked up from laughing at Jiro. “Yeah?”
“Is that a My Chemical Romance button on your bag?” Delia looked over to her desk with her various buttons and stickers on the side of her bag.
“Yes, it is. You a fan?”
“Major.”
“I listen to them occasionally as well.” Tokoyami threw in. Jiro grinned, “Nice to know some of us have some taste.” Ojiro scratched the back of his head, “Well, I guess I have none.”
“It’s alright. We’ll just have to educate you!” Jiro elbowed him gently. Delia looked at her watch then hopped off the desk, “Oops. I have to catch my train!”
When she ran outside, her eyebrows raised as she saw that Midoriya and All Might were staring off into the distance. Delia waved at them, “Feel better, Midoriya. Have a nice night, Sir!”
Running down the hill, she flew up to Bakugo and found her feet slowing a bit. They looked at each other for a moment and Delia opened her mouth to say something before she thought better of it and continued down the hill to catch her train home.

Characters: Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Eijiro Kirishima, Shoto Todoroki, Mina Ashido, Tenya Iida.
Description: When one of Katsukis harmless insults Sends you flashing back into your abusive past you fear what he’ll think of you. Will your friendship possibly be ruined because of this? A.N: ok so I haven’t been able to watch a bunch of this show yet cause online schooling I’m going off of the fan fiction I’ve read so don’t come at me please. I love this fandom and honestly it would break my heart if I offended someone. I hope you enjoy. Also for the sake of things pretend that UA is a college
Tumblr media
I walk next to one of my best friends not noticing his heterochromiac gaze in me. I bite my lip deep in my thoughts i was still relatively new to the idea that I actually have to stay at UA college ever since it became a boarding school and to say I was nervous was a understatement, who would I be with? How would the rooms work? Would it be by class? What if I didn’t know anyone? What if-  “y/n,” shotos soft voice besides me brings me from my thoughts. I hummed in acknowledgement feeling my cheeks heat up worried he would be upset I was being like this. “relax.” He whispered softly placing a hand on my shoulder and letting out a warmth to help against the cool winter wether.  I felt some of the anxiety leave me.... some. Of course he wasn’t mad he knew how I got, anxious I was doing something wrong breaking an unspoken rule or not making everyone happy, worried constantly about grades, not caring for myself, all because of them. I smile apologetically at the duo colored hair boy. And he returns one back.
But that doesn’t mean my anxiety’s of the dorm rooms would go away. We got to UA our bags in tow behind us as we walked up I saw a some of the people who have become some of my truest friends. Izuku Midoriya was standing next to Ochaco Uraraka, and I could see both there faces had a slight flush as there arm kept brushing against one another. I also saw Tenya Iida standing with them he was our class representative. I was still shocked I was in a class with such amazing people. As we came closer I also saw three other people approaching.  Mina Ashido smiled brightly at me rushing to give me a hug while leaving her bag to the two men she was walking with, I gladly welcomed the embrace needing it but never forgetting Shoto was right there because truth be told I would be crying already had it not been for his constant presences.  Due to her sprinting towards me it grabbed the attention of the group of three I had already noticed but my eyes where closed shut clutching to her. When we pulled away her two companions Eijiro Kirishima, and Katsuki Bakugo where also there now along with Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida.  “Hi everybody!” I said happily willing the heat rising to my cheeks down. Whenever Bakugo was around my heart soared and butterfly’s formed in my stomach and if I dint keep my emotions down a flower crown would soon be forming on my head. Todoroki place a cooling hand on my back calming me but I think he did it to calm the heat glaring to my cheeks as all the eyes landed on me.
“Hey there pretty lady!” Kiri said to me smiling pulling me into a hug and I gladly hugged my red haired fiend. He was always so happy which made it easier for me.
“So does anyone know how this is all going to work?” I asked worried maybe I was the only clueless one. Most everyone looked confused except of course for Iida. “We will be placed by classroom into rooms all classes will have one common area but all of us have bedrooms, I am unsure at the time if any of us will be sharing.” I nodded my head “Of course no boys and girls will be sharing. Right?”
He gave a pointed look to me. “W-what’s that look for?!” I shrieked as I could do nothing to hide the blush. And when shotos hand left me due to him covering his mouth as he laughed it only seemed down my neck. “Oh come on we all know you and Todoroki are together!” Uraraka spoke smiling, Shoto stopped laughing.
“Not so funny know huh Shoto?!” He only glared at me But there was no heat behind it, and looked at our friends. “Me and y/n are not together.” He spoke seriously. All there faces turned to confusion and Midoriya spoke first. “Wait your not? But you two call each other by first name and you don’t do that to anyone else!” He said defensively. “Well yeah Shoto does it out of respect I don’t do it because none of you have given me permission to do so. Besides Shoto is like my brother, I could never do anything like that.” I smiled over at him and he returned it.
“Maybe stop making heart eyes at icy hot and maybe we’ll believe you, shitty woman.” Bakugo scoffed Kirishima hit his shoulder rather roughly at the look on my face. Usually his playful insults never bothered me and I’d fire back but that one.... he Used that one. Shoto without thinking shot out in front of me shielding me from everyone as I took a few steps back slowly. Third person P.O.V
Todoroki knew the moment the words left Bakugos mouth what would happen. He quickly moved in front of you and Shielded you from view. Kirishima never liked when his bakubro spoke to you that way knowing of his feelings towards you and yours towards him but he looked over and saw as you took a few steps back. Your eyes seemed to glass over and you had a far off look, one that reminded him of the pro hero’s who had seen to much in there time.
Everyone made a move to get closer to you but you quickly stepped back again, Shoto took another step forward practically growling, but you where to busy turning around to notice as you ran off. Todoroki let you knowing you needed space for a minute but he would give you no more time than that.
“What the fuck happened icyhot?!” Bakugo spoke daring anyone to mention the worry that leaked into his voice with a glare. No one mentioned it to worried, they had never seen you like that. You had an energy like Kirishima always happy and smiling always helping others. And your reaction to the name was not anticipated. So often you would fire something back at Bakugo that he was left feeling horribly guilty. Before anyone could ask Todoroki made his way to you.
Your P.O.V
Warning abuse flashback
I ran to the only place I had felt safe in all of UA it was a hidden garden long since forgotten at the back of the school. Once I had found it the first few days of school I instantly fell in love my quirk blossomed here. I could control all things natural from the elements to plants and animals. I could make animals listen and plants grow. But I also had the power to kill said plants easily. The trail of death I left behind in the grass as I ran a clear path to anyone but i was to far gone in my mind.
“You want to be a hero?!” His cold voice echoed in the basement the voice I still longed to hear praise come from. “Your quirk is nothing compared to mine. Do you hear me?! NOTHING! And besides....” he grabbed my throat roughly making me meet his eye, “your gonna be my slave for the rest of your stupid life.” His cold eyes once so filled with love broke the last part of my spirit I had left, I bowed my head in submission.
——
“Oh shitty woman!” His voice echoed through the house to my cage in the basement i whimpered. “Be ready cause I’m just pissed of tonight!” I shook out of both fear and coldness. I wasn’t allowed to wear anything except my shackles. He liked to keep me chained up my wrists attached to a chain that was liked to a metal collar around my neck. My feet also cuffed together. Both allowing me to move but never escape. I was his slave, his dog, his shitty woman, his punching bag, and his fuck hole. I had no other purpose anymore. I haven’t spoken to any of my loved ones in months? Years? Time blurred together, especially since I was locked away in the dark damp windowless basement. I heard his foot steps come thudding down the stairs, he held a knife in his hands, he liked to make me bleed.
I can’t tell how long it’s been, hours, days, minutes? All I knew was he wasn’t stopping and I knew one more cut, one more kick, I would be gone I couldn’t stop the happiness that flooded me I would be free.
I didn’t notice Shoto coming towards me till he placed his cool hand on one cheek and his warm one on the other the two temperatures grounding me slightly
“y/n come back, you’re in your garden remember? I got you out of there, he’s gone he can’t hurt you.” His words shifted my thoughts to what happened next.
The hope I had just felt was suddenly ripped away as the doorbell rang. He growled and stormed upstairs stripping off the bloody shirt. I couldn’t hear anything but suddenly I heard his frustrated scream through the whole house the name he cried barley recognizable since the amount of time it has been since I heard it but a part of me knew.
“Todoroki!!” I laid there stunned... Todoroki? Thoughts of a pair of heterochromia eyes popped into my brain. The piecing blue and grey, but they held warmth. I could remember his hair two colors both white and red. I heard frantic footsteps rush down the stairs.
“y/n!” I heard a man yell I flinched but looking up I was met with those warm eyes except they had worry and fear i ached to take that away my mind still foggy on how I knew him. and it suddenly all came back, the times we spent laughing so hard tears streamed down our faces, sneaking into his home to see him when his father shut him away, sparing with him, creating flowers the same color as his eyes and hair.
“Sho...” I whispered the ghost of a smile in my eye the last thing I heard was his calming voice
“Don’t worry sweet flower I’ve got you”
“Sho?” I spoke the fog slowly leaving my brain I squeezed his hands to my face. “That’s it, there you go...welcome back.” I looked around and sighed but it was quickly turned into a hitch in my breathe as I saw the path of death I had created, quickly with a wave of my hand it was regrowing, Shoto smiles at me. “Sorry about that.” I muttered quietly he shook his head pulling me into a hug, “never apologize,” He pulled me away slightly staring at me directly in the eyes. “Never.” I nodded and he smiled at me grabbing my hand and helping me stand. It was getting dark so we headed back to what was now our class dorm.
When I entered I was quickly pulled into a hug I recognized it as Kirishima and hugged him back letting him hold me for a while as Shoto walked off going to his room. When I pulled away I looked behind him not seeing anyone else. “How is he?” I asked softly. “I should be asking about you.” He smiled softly “but of course you always worry about everyone else... he’s upset, to say the least but not at you more at himself.” I nodded and kiri showed me to my room turns out we didn’t have to share much to all of our reliefs. We loved each other sure but our own space was nice. It had been several hours and in that time I decided to clean my room, unpack everything, read something and scroll through social media all to distract myself from the inevitable nightmare I would have. But of course I drifted to sleep and of course I had a nightmare. I woke up hot a sweaty shaking away the flashes of the dream, I was back with my ex but this time he made bakugo watch as he did things to me and he begged and cried even though I knew the real bakugo had never shown such emotions to me but it seemed so real.
I walked out to the kitchen the mere thought of his eyes looking that way and my ex made me once again cry. I bit my hand the way I always did and before I knew it snow was falling above me.
“y/l/n?” I heard a voice behind me I turned around and saw none other than bakugo. The sight of his eyes made the sob I was holding back rip from my throat. They where the same eye from my dream the same look of pain and sadness in them.
“Katsuki-” I stopped myself despite my sobs. I felt a surge of dread wash through me. I knew I called him that in my head but to say it to him felt so rude without permission. I fell to my knees my hands taking position in front of my chest clasped together as I softly whispered
“I’m sorry I meant no offense bak-” I was cut off my soft hands cupping my face and sweat pants clad knees brushing against the skin of my own bare knees. “Don’t, katsuki is fine. I’m more concerned about what’s wrong?” I pursed my lips shaking my head. He sighed as he hoisted me up into his arms and began walking into the living room type area. He set my on the couch and then sat himself down next to me. “So tell me y/n, what’s wrong.” I took a deep breathe studying myself. He gave me all the time I needed and I was grateful. I sighed running my hand through my hair as I stood up. “what I’m telling you only Shoto knows I’m trusting you to keep this information to yourself.” He nodded sitting up and I felt like he had the same commitment to that Silent promise As he did to trying to be number one hero. “I was with an ex... and we where together towards our senior year of high school. You probably didn’t notice but well we went to the same high school you, and i know you knew that. But you probably didn’t notice my absence towards the end of the year. Well my boyfriend snapped or something and he... he made me his slave. Locked me in the basement, kept me chained, he would abuse me in every way possible. Sexually, physically, mentally, emotionally... and well Shoto... when he found me I was an inch from death and I was ready to welcome it with open and willing arms... that was a year ago.” His breathe hitched.
“Thanks to someone’s quirk a lot of the memories are gone... for the most part, I still have triggers and nightmares. One of those triggers being what he used to call me. I was his fuck hole, his slave, his... shitty woman.” I watched his hand fly to his mouth anger seeping into his eyes. “And today, I called you- oh my god I am so sorry!” He truly looked like he was about to pass out. “Is that why you where upset just now? Because of me? I can get my room transferred probably I’ll do whatever I ca-” I shook my head. “no not directly you, it was a nightmare I had but well uh.... you where in it.” I watched color leave his face I knew what he thought so I quickly stopped the thought from continuing by adding “my ex was doing those things in front of you! He was making you watch and I had to watch you... I had to watch your beautiful vermillion eyes be covered in pain and sadness and worry. And well you came into the kitchen and that’s the exact look i saw. And the reason it affected me is because I like you katsuki. A lot and honestly I’m sorry, because who wants some broken cry baby to be head over heels for them but I am and I understand if you don’t wish to speak to me again.” before I could comprehend what was happening I was being pulled into his arms. His scent of burnt sugar and caramel invading my senses. His hands moved through my hair and I hummed at the feeling.
“i feel the same way about you baby.” I sighed as I moved closer to him and he in turn pulled me into his lap. He rubbed his hands steadily up and down my back as he layer down on the couch. “I’m sorry all of that happened to you, I’m sorry I said that to you, and I’m sorry that I never went to check on you in high school. Truth is I did notice I just thought you moved or something.” We sat in scilence for a little while till I spoke up again.
“Katsuki...” he hummed “what am I to you?” He moved my head so I was looking at him. I saw his vibrant eyes and they warmed me throughout even my whole soul. “you... you’re my little flower, so delicate under harsh conditions but no matter how heavy the foot or how harsh the winter you’ll come back as vibrant or even more vibrant than before. You are my light, and my everything and if you will allow me the honor my girlfriend.”
Tears brimmed my eyes “Oh god, I’m sorry. Don’t cry! Shit! Um-” I cut him off smiling and he sighed and visibly relaxed.
“i would love nothing more than to be your girlfriend, firework man.” I gently leaned down my lips a hairs breath away from his and he leaned in closing the distance I sighed I had wanted this since I first layed eyes on him. It felt so nice.
“Goodnight katsuki.” I whispered as I kissed his jaw cuddling back into his warm bare chest on,y now realizing his attire but not caring enough to be embarrassed. “goodnight my little flower.” The last thing I heard before drifting into sleep was “ill protect you, always.”

NOT My Hero Academia: Part 1 – Ch.8
Iida manged to change direction at the last second, and Dark Shadow was out and between them and Bakugo now, ready to block an attack or push Team Uraraka into the air.
"OHHHHH?! IS LEAVING YOUR UNIT REALLY ALLOWED?!" Sero's tape came and saved Bakugo before he could touch the ground. "It is here, on a technicality!!" Midnight replied to Present Mic, "As long as your feet don't touch the ground!"
While Teams Bakugo and Uraraka squared off, Present Mic's commentary washed over the auditorium, "BOTH THE DOGGEDLY PURSUED FIRST PLACE TEAM… AND ITS DETERMINED PURSUERS ARE NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT! LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THE CURRENT POINT SPREAD…" The screen updated to show the team rankings and their points. Izuku -- and All For One, through his cameras -- noticed another team pass behind Bakugo's. A hand reached out… "HOW ARE OUR TEAMS DOING AFTER SEVEN MINUTES OF PLAY? ...OHH?!
"NOW WAIT JUST A SECOND…! BESIDES URARAKA, CLASS A'S NOT LOOKING SO HOT… WHAT HAPPENED TO BAKUGO…?!" "Too simple, really. Class A," said the owner of the hand. Bakugo spun, "Give that back! I'll freaking kill you!!" "He got us!" cried Mina. "When Midnight announced the first event, it didn't take a genius to realize they wouldn't be thinning our numbers that much in a preliminary."
The rider who'd grabbed the headband smirked and glared condescendingly at Bakugo and his team. "It wasn't much of a stretch to imagine they'd be letting a good number of us advance to the next event. Forty or so seemed reasonable." A rumble came from behind team Bakugo. It was another Class B team! "It was the perfect chance to hang back and observe our soon-to-be rivals' quirks and tendencies. So it's only fair that we ended up placing more modestly."
"The whole class was in on it…?" said Kirishima. "Well, not everyone, but that wouldn't have been a bad idea… Instead of aiming for some fleeting first place, like a horse going for a dangling carrot." Bakugo's otherwise stony face twitched. "Ah, but you're already a celebrity, aren't you? The victim of that sludge incident! I'll have to ask you sometime. How does it feel to be known as the kid who needed saving?"
"Kirishima… plan's changed." Bakugo was radiating doom. "Before we go for Deku… I've gotta murder every last one of them…!!"
.
'Class B… They threw the qualifiers and planned for the long game!' Izuku thought, impressed. 'They want to prove Class B's supremacy. But from that, I can guess that they're not necessarily dead set on targeting me…!! Maybe this won't be too hard to evade-!' But at almost that same moment, as Present Mic announced they'd reached the halfway mark-
-Team Uraraka was approached by multiple opponents. 'Or maybe… it won't be quite that easy. We've stayed still too long!'
"Looks like this won't end without a fight…" Tokoyami said, "They're really gunning for us, Midoriya." "No. We're halfway through. We've just gotta keep moving!"
Todoroki gave orders as his team approached their target. "Yaoyorozu, prepare our defense. The insulator too." "Right!" "Kaminari. You…" "Yeah, I got it! Just stay alert!" Kaminari warned.
At that, Kaminari screamed, announcing his special attack for the audience of Pro Heroes, "Indiscriminate shock. 1.3 million volts!!"
All the teams nearby were stopped by the sudden shock, Dark Shadow useless against the bright attack. Todoroki took advantage of that. "Less than six minutes left. No turning back now." He lowered a staff of ice to the ground. "Sorry. Just hang in there." All of the frozen teams' feet were now literally frozen to the ground! As they passed, Todoroki grabbed another team's headband, "I'll be taking this."
"Tokoyami, Iida, get us out of here!" Izuku cried. When Dark Shadow managed to break the ice around their feet, Todoroki tried to freeze them again. But Iida was too fast. Todoroki then tried to block their escape, creating an arena of ice, but Dark Shadow launched them over the wall, higher than anyone had thought they could go.
.
Kurogiri joined All For One in front of the screens. "He's doing well so far." All For One nodded, agreeing, "Although nothing spectacular, it will keep him in first place. His team will run, other teams will close in, and they'll run again." Hesitantly, Kurogiri commented, "You seem… dissatisfied." "On the contrary. I'm simply eager to see further results."
As the competition went on, Todoroki's team was particularly persistent in chasing Team Uraraka. Already holding one of the top spots, they seemed determined to come in first. And getting the ten million point headband was the only way of doing that…
.
After being humiliated by the Class B team, "Team Monoma," and glued in place by yet another team -- Bakugo was looking for revenge. Before they could make it to the offenders, however, the score board updated, and Present Mic's commentary blasted through the auditorium again. "WITH JUST ONE MINUTE LEFT, TODOROKI'S GOT THREE HEADBANDS, BUT URARAKA'S TEAM STILL HOLDS FIRST PLACE!! TEAM URARAKA'S MANAGED TO EVADE TODOROKI, NO MATTER WHAT THEY'VE THROWN AT THEM!! HAVE WE FOUND OUR TOP FOUR TEAMS FOR THIS EVENT?!"
Bakugo looked at the score board. Deku's team were still in the lead. Good -- he could take their points himself! That stupid pebble… How was he making it this far?!
… He would fix that.
Below them was Team Monoma, the bastards, with 1360 points. Then Todoroki with 990, and Tetsutetsu in fourth with 940. His team had 0 points. But not for long.
"Second place, huh? Seems too good to be true," Monoma was saying, "Let's focus on keeping what we've got." "Wait just one stinkin' minute!" Bakugo shouted. Monoma looked over his shoulder at them. "Persistent, aren't you. That sort of tenacity is…"
"Get back here, Bakugooooo!!" Kirishima shouted. Bakugo had launched himself through the air again. "Tsuburaba! Guard!" Monoma yelled. "Got it!"
One of the guys holding Monoma up took a deep breath and blew out. Bakugo came to a stop in midair. "Ha ha! How d'ya like that? It's an invisible wall!" said Tsuburaba. Bakugo just pulled his arm back -- and smashed through it, grabbing at their headbands. "He got two of them!" yelled Monoma.
"TEAM BAKUGO'S STOLEN TWO, PUTTING THEM IN FOURTH PLACE!!" Sero pulled Bakugo back to them, as Todoroki moved up to second place on the score board. "A LATE SHAKE-UP IN THE RANKINGS! THAT'S THE SPIRIT OF YOUTH FOR YA!!"
"Damn… DAMMIT!" Monoma cursed. "Alright… It's fine. We're in fifth! And Kendo's not going anywhere, frozen like that…" He adjusted their remaining headband. "Right! Just have to guard this one with our lives…"
"Give us some warning before you jump!!" Sero chided Bakugo when he'd landed back on their horse. "But now we're guaranteed to move on…" said Kirishima.
"I AIN'T DONE YET!!" "Huh?!" Sero gaped at him.
"I'm not settling for some half-assed first place!!" Bakugo, more energized than ever, was banging on Kirishima's hardened head. "I couldn't brace myself going at it alone. So move!!" They sped up; Bakugo's excitement was contagious. "WE'RE TAKING OUR POINTS BACK. AND THEN THE TEN MILLION!!" 'I'll make that useless Deku realize he's just a PEBBLE in my path to Number One IF IT KILLS ME!'
"Soy Sauce Face! Tape, now!!" Bakugo lifted his left leg out of the way. "My name's Sero!!" Even as he said it, he taped the ground near Team Monoma's feet, already knowing what Bakugo had in mind. "You missed," Monoma stated smugly. "Raccoon eyes!" Bakugo lifted his right leg out of the way now. "Melt a path for us with that liquid!" "It's Mina. Mina Ashido!" She sprayed the ground beneath Sero's tape.
Sero reeled them in and, as they sped passed- "BAKUGO!! ABSOLUTELY MERCILESS!!" -Bakugo ripped the last headband from around Monoma's neck!
"WHAT A PERFECTIONIST! ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING RIGHT!! WE'RE NEARING THE END OF THE GAME, NOW!!"
Switching gears immediately, Bakugo turned in search of his main target, "Next up! Deku and Todoroki!!" "TIME'S ALMOST UP. LET'S COUNT DOWN. HEY, EVERYBODY SAY… 10! 9! 8!" Bakugo spotted Team Uraraka with only 6 seconds left. He launched into the air without hesitation.
But… "-TIME'S UP!"
.
All the teams stopped moving, and Bakugo went crashing to the ground.
"LET'S SEE WHO THE TOP FOUR TEAMS ARE RIGHT NOW! "IN FIRST PLACE, TEAM URARAKA!!" 'I almost can't believe how well things are going so far,' Izuku thought to himself, as Uraraka hugged him, 'Although, I'm actually… even more scared of the final event because of it!'
"IN SECOND, TEAM BAKUGO!!" Bakugo cursed and screamed.
"IN THIRD, TEAM TODO… HUH?! WHOA!! TEAM SHINSO?!" Izuku looked around, then spotted that purple-haired guy who was talking to goggles-girl earlier.
.
It was just after he'd finished forming his team for the Cavalry Battle…
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Heh heh heh… Yes, you're in first place. You sure do stand out!" Izuku heard someone say from behind him. He turned- "-Team up with me, Mr. First Place!!" "Whoa, too close!!" 'The girl with the hover boots?!'
"I'm Mei Hatsume, from the support course! I don't know you, but I could be useful to someone like you." She blabbed, heedless of anyone around her aside from her target. "Joining with you means I'll inevitably be right in the spotlight!! And then, inevitably, my supercute babies… will be seen by the industry big shots. They'll have to take notice of me and my babies!!" As she talked, she just seemed to get more and more enthusiastic.
"But wait -- there's more. This could also be advantageous for you." She pulled out some gadgets. "In the support course, we develop equipment to make heroes' quirks easier to use! I've got plenty of my babies here, and I'm sure you'll find one or two that-" Izuku spoke loudly, raising his hands to cut her off, "-Sorry, but I already formed my team!" She froze. "Ah! But…" He wanted to say something nice -- she had actually WANTED to team up with him. Even if it was just for his points… "I thought those hover boots you used back in the race were awesome! It's just…" She smiled, seeming to take the rejection surprisingly well. "I get it. You wanna work with your friends."
She got up close to his face again. Izuku stepped back. "But mark my words. Someday, you're gonna need my babies. And you'll come crawling, begging me to build you the most awesome equipment anyone's ever seen!" Her tone wasn't hostile, just filled with certainty and determination. "Mr. Quirkless Wonder!"
She turned and walked away. Izuku saw a purple-haired guy approach her and heard him say, "Wow, those gadgets of yours are awesome! Can I see one?" "Sure-!"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"WHO SAW THAT TURNAROUND COMING? WHO EVEN SAW IT HAPPEN?!" 'Yeah… When did that happen…?' Izuku had been keeping an interested eye on the score board. 'But I was distracted in those last few seconds… Must've been then. Wish I'd seen that, though!'
"… IN FOURTH, TEAM TODOROKI!!" "No surprise there," said Uraraka, now sitting on the ground, exhausted.
.
"THESE FOUR TEAMS WILL PROCEED… TO THE FINAL EVENT!!"

Gravity (Bakugo x OC)
Part 4: Different Convictions (past)
Bakugou x Vigilante!OC
Warnings: angst, explicit language, violence
Word count: 2433
Genre: enemies to lovers ; angst ; romance
When a new student makes an entrance, Bakugou has a real bad feeling. There is something about this girl that just doesnt feel right. From the flaming hair to the calculating glint in her green eyes, everything about her just pisses him off.
Little does he know that his fate is intertwined with the person he despises so much, defining his future path in a way he would have never expected.
Tumblr media
“Fuck…”
Artemis sat in the courtyard at the back of the school, her arms dipped into the cool water of the decorative fountain UA had built to make the space more… decorative.
The cool water soothed the growing ache in her body. Her arms and hands, in particular, hurt from the overuse of her quirk. Artemis sighed deeply. In her head, the fight played again and again. She had lost control. She had become so close to breaking the rules she had given herself. Disgust spread through her gut until she felt like she had to gag.
No, she couldn't let that happen ever again.
“Artemis?” The low, rumbling voice of her homeroom teacher made her flinch.
“Mr Aizawa.” She sighed and shook her head, dunking her arms deeper into the cold water.
Aizawa narrowed his eyes at his new student. He could clearly see the burns on her skin. “So...are you just going to sit there, sulking like a child, or are you going to tell me what happened there?” he said, sighing deeply, his lazy drawl making his voice deeper. “If your arms are burned, you need to see Recovery Girl.”
“No, I'm fucking fine. I don’t need help, thank you very much. Leave me alone,” Artemis hissed through gritted teeth.
“Ah, I see,” Aizawa replied dryly. “It's practically normal to forcefully rip out a whole school’s water supply in mere seconds.”
Sitting down next to her, he crossed his arms and gave Artemis a stern look. Her eyes flickered up to him, a myriad of emotions passing through those green orbs. Suspicion, anger, fear… He had seen these kinds of eyes before.
“Miss Moon, I’m giving you one last chance to tell me. I won’t ask again.”
Her jaw clenched. Aizawa kept his unflinching eyes on her, studying every movement. Finally, she let out a ragged breath.
“Yeah well… I got angry. I lost control. Shit happens!” she growled, evading his gaze. “Are you going to expel me? Give me detention?”
Her last words sounded more like a challenge than anything else. So much defiance in such a small body.
“No. Here at UA, we dont expel students for accidents,” Aizawa responded. “The principal won’t be pleased and the school will be without water for a while, but what is the city’s tax money is for.”
With a sigh, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a can of iced coffee from one of his pouches, opening it casually and taking a sip.
“In any case, it wasn’t just a one way attack. Rest assured that Bakugou will be reprimanded for his reckless behavior, as well. Whether you like it or not, if you want to be a hero, you will have to learn how to work and rely on others, even If you don’t see eye-to-eye with them.”
“Eye-to-eye? Sure, that’ll happen.” Artemis scoffed and looked up at him. “Relying on others... Funny you should say that considering you prefer to work alone, Eraserhead.”
Ah. So she had done her research before coming to this place.
“Regardless, I am able to work with my colleagues seamlessly should the need arise. A hero has to be able to do both. If you can’t, you die. Simple as that.”
Aizawa could clearly tell that this stubborn girl in front of him wouldn’t crack. Not now, anyway. He sensed that there was something lingering under the surface of those deep green eyes that were way too old to belong to a 15 year old girl. He sighed.
“In any case, I would prefer that an incident like this does not happen again. The paperwork is horrendous. Am I understood, Miss Moon?”
Artemis swallowed and nodded. Shadows passed through her eyes, as if she’d just evaded grave danger. “Yes, sir. Sorry… about the pipes.”
Aizawa nodded and got up with a groan. “All right. Get yourself cleaned up and go home. Tomorrow won’t be any easier.”
As he walked away, he couldn't help but shake his head. There was something so strange about this girl, but he couldn't put his finger on it yet. He would have to keep his eyes on her in the future. For now, though, he had to prepare the rescue training trip the school had planned for his class for tomorrow.
Artemis sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. The sensation of the shaved side of her head still felt so incredibly unfamiliar to her. After her fight with Bakugou, she’d tried to save what was left, but she’d ended up having to finally admit to herself that the only thing she could do was shave off the burnt hair and give herself an undercut.
Class 1A was currently boarding a bus to an external training facility. The flame-haired girl watched as their class rep Iida ushered every single student into the vehicle with ridiculous hand gestures while continuously blowing into his coach whistle like a caricature of a flight attendant. Artemis couldn't help but roll her eyes. It wasn’t that Iida was a bad person - in fact, he was as straight cut as a hero could be - but the boy was so much of a stickler it was tiring.
When it was her turn to board, she let herself fall into the seat next to Kaminari and Sero and stared out of the window. She’d managed to lose herself in thought, when the scent of burnt sugar and nitroglycerin suddenly flooded her senses. Great.
“Heh, nice hair cut, water hazard,” came the smug, taunting voice of Bakugou Katsuki.
A quiet groan escaped her lips and she looked up. Crimson eyes stared down at her in a silent challenge. Hadn’t he had enough already?
“Ah, what a glorious day for you to remind everyone what a giant piece of shit you are. Congratulations, boom boom boy,” she replied with the sweetest smile she could muster. “Don’t worry, we know! No need to prove yourself.”
If looks could kill, she would have been dead this instant.
A small smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. Artemis would have thought that getting almost shot in the face should have been enough to deter him from any further attempts to get a rise out of her. Seemed like she was wrong, though she’d be lying if she said she was disappointed.
“Tch. You little… I'm gonna kick your ass!” Bakugou spat.
“Oh, really?” Artemis chuckled. “That’s funny, considering that I wiped the fucking floor with your sorry ass yesterday.”
Ah, there it was. The blood vessel at Bakugou’s temple. Artemis couldn't help but smirk.
“You just got fucking lucky! Next time I’m gonna break you in half, trust me,” the ash blonde growled with gleaming eyes.
“Move along. No fighting on the bus. And hurry, we don’t have all day.” Aizawa’s voice cut through the tension before Artemis could retort.
As Mr Anger Issues walked along, grumbling something under his breath, Artemis rolled her eyes again. She really wasn’t in the mood for this today.
“God, I hope this guy gets diarrhoea for the rest of his goddamn life,” she muttered, directing her gaze towards the window again.
A snort next to her caught her attention. Kaminari gave her a mischievous wink and nudged her and Sero in a conspiring way
“You mean… explosive diarrhoea?” he snickered.
The image of that cracked Artemis up. “Well, as a quirk, it would suit him even better.”
“Ahem!” Aizawa’s warning voice cut them off.
“S-sorry, sir…” Kaminari muttered and scratched the back of his head.
Artemis sighed. There were a few things that she’d have liked to say, but she knew that Aizawa would be so quick to get on her back that it wasn’t worth it. At least at this moment.
“So, rescue training, huh?” Sero started in an attempt to change the subject. “I’m pretty sure they’re gonna divide us into teams again, don’t you think?”
“Yeah, I think so, too. Artemis, you haven’t been in our other training sessions. Are you excited?” Denki asked, giving her a flirty wink.
Artemis chuckled softly. “Well…” She considered how best to word her response. “I’m… curious to see how it’s gonna work. Teamwork is always a challenge. It depends on who you’re in a group with, and who you’re up against.”
“That's true. Personally I’d rather not get paired up with Bakugou or Todoroki,” Sero said with a sigh.
“Ungh, yes,” Denki chimed in. “Don’t get me wrong, they are super hard hitters. But Bakugou is, well, Bakugo, and Todoroki freezes your ass If you're not useful. Bet you I’m gonna end up with one of them.”
That made artemis perk up. “Freeze you? So, ice powers… That is interesting. If I were paired up with him, I could most likely use his quirk as ammunition,” she said more to herself than to the boys next to her.
“I wouldn’t press my luck if I were you. He’s… not a team player. If you're not up to his standard and deemed useless, he’s gonna consider you dead weight and take you out,” Sero said, scratching the back of his head.
“Well, I’m not good at many things, but I certainly ain’t useless in a fight,” Artemis scoffed. “Though I do share his sentiment. Someone who can’t pull their weight in a fight is a liability. Taking them out of the equation is the easiest way to ensure success.”
“Damn, that’s… kinda badass?” Denki said a little nervously. “I didn't pick you for a solo player…”
Artemis shifted in her seat so she could face the boys next to her better. She could clearly see the naive sentiment in their eyes. Usually, the wide-eyed believed that teamwork made the dream work and everything was gonna be all right with ‘friendship’. Not exactly something she could ever understand.
“It’s not badass, it’s common sense,” she said, crossing her arms. “I’m not dying just because someone can’t pull their own weight. The mere wish of wanting to help without the skill to do so does more harm than good. So, best to get out of the way and let those who actually don’t mind getting their hands dirty do the work. This isn’t a game. You either fight and win, or you die. And a dead soldier is a useless soldier. Simple as that.”
That she even had to spell that out to a group of people who were set on becoming the future heroes of tomorrow made her blood boil. The oh-so-familiar steel inside her soul stiffened her posture and she sighed.
“Heroes nowadays spouting about teamwork and ‘oh, happy friends, let’s work together to create a dream’ is utter nonsense, if you ask me. It’s too easy to forget that this isn’t a popularity game. It’s a job. A job that can cost lives if it isn’t done right. No-one gives a fuck about how popular you are if you can’t do your job. Teamwork is only sensible if it’s beneficial for every party involved. It has to be result-oriented. Teamwork just for the sake of teamwork is stupid.”
Artemis ran a hand through her hair and directed her gaze out of the window again.
“That’s why I prefer to work alone. I know my abilities and I know myself. It’s nothing personal.”
The sudden uncomfortable silence that spread around her was something Artemis had not expected. Had she said something wrong? Looking back at Kaminari and Sero, she frowned. Both of them stared at her with their mouths slightly agape.
“What?” Artemis asked, confused. “Why are you both looking at me like I kicked a puppy in the face?”
“Dude,” Kaminari began, clearing his throat. “That’s… kinda harsh? Is that how you work over there in Europe?”
“Yeah… I mean, we are classmates. We gotta stick together. Who can we rely on if not on our friends?” Sero asked.
Artemis sighed again. “That's exactly what I meant. Yes, we’re classmates, but what does that really mean? Teaming up should essentially be dependent on the skills of each party that can work together to accomplish a goal. Whether you’re classmates or not has no part in it. For educational purposes, it might make sense, but in the real world, teaming up just for convenience will most likely turn deadly.”
“Sounds to me like you’re either scared shitless and don’t trust anyone, or you think you’re better than everyone else and arrogant enough to believe no-one can match you,” Bakugou interjected with a nasty smirk from his seat down the bus.
Artemis’s eyes narrowed at the angry blonde. He wasn’t as thick-headed as she’d thought in the beginning. It seemed that he was not only an excellent fighter, but also very perceptive. A dangerous combination.
“Big talk coming from you, Mr I’m-Better-Than-You,” Artemis purred, leaning forward and focusing her eyes on him like a predator on its prey. “You pretend to be hot shit every day, Katsuki Bakugou, but what can you do exactly? Be loud and do more damage than necessary? My guess is you're overcompensating because you know you ain’t shit.”
“Tch, as if. Don’t act like you know anything about me, you sorry excuse of a squirt gun,” he spat and turned away in his seat.
Something told Artemis that she had hit the target quite well.
The bus came to a halt, and the conversations of the class became louder as a big glass dome came into view. Aizawa rose from his seat.
“All right, class, quiet down. I’m not gonna say it again.” He crossed his arms. “The pro hero Thirteen is gonna wait for you inside. I am expecting you to be on your best behaviour. I will not tolerate any stupidity, or I will make you all train after class ‘till you drop. Is that clear?”
The students hummed in agreement and started to get off the bus.
Aizawa’s dark eyes fell on the newest addition to his class. What he’d overheard her say on the bus ride made him feel slightly uneasy. While she had made some sensible points, her apathy concerning teammates and the people around her was concerning. It was a dangerous, slippery path that could easily go in the wrong direction. He would have to have a conversation with her about that, but something told Aizawa he’d have to be smart about it. Artemis had so many walls up, she may as well have been a high security prison.
He wondered what kind of life this child had lived up to that point that could possibly have made her that way.

part 2 of my momo mina punk nerd au
i just have a lot of feelings about hospital scenes okay?
read part one here
The sterile white walls of the hospital make Mina uncomfortable. She’s already hyper aware of the fact her ripped jeans and pink hair make her different, but with Momo rushing away she feels alone for the first time since they pulled up. Abandoned to this white wasteland like a butterfly pinned to a board, on display.
It almost makes her regret giving Momo her jacket. Almost.
Dropping heavily into a cheap plastic chair, several down from the crying woman with red tips to her white hair, Mina sighs. Her paper cup of nasty city water, was the best excuse she could come up with to wander the halls, to move. Sitting still has never been her strong suit.
A door opens, and Mina’s head snaps up, hoping to see Momo, her ticket out of here.
Instead, a haggard blonde staggers out, face drained of color and wearing a familiar leather jacket…
“Baku?”
His head lifts, red eyes dull from crying, and Mina launches out of her seat, water left to spill across the cold white floor.
Her arms wrap around his shoulders, forcing him to slump against her. “Oh Katsuki,” she whispers into his hair. His arms seize her suddenly, tight and demanding. She lets him take what he needs from her, stroking his hair and whispering nonsense words of comfort until he pulls back, straightening up against her hold.
Mina lets him go, but doesn't step back, leaving her hands resting against his face as she studies him. “What happened?” she asks.
Bakugo closes his eyes, lips quivering as he speaks, “Sho, he-” a tear slides down his face. Mina smooths it away before Bakugo can, letting her hands linger against her friend’s face. “He was burned.”
The words look painful to say, but Bakugo never wavers, only takes a deep breath. “His mom mistook him for his father and jumped. She was holding a pot of boiling water. He-” another deep breath, his hands find Mina’s hip, and grip. “He might lose vision in that eye-” Mina’s breath catches. Bakugo opens his eyes, tears threatening at his lash line, “He’s gonna have a hell of a scar.”
Pitching forward he buries his head in Mina’s neck, sobbing openly. Mina carefully lowers the two of them down, pressing her cheek to Bakugo’s hair, and rocking him.
“It’s my fault,” he says, “I'm the one who told him to dye half his hair red like that bastards-” “No,” Mina presses the word, tight and furious into the crown of Bakugo’s head, “this is not your fault Kat, I won’t let you blame yourself for this.”
“It is-”
“No,” Mina pulls back, eyes dark and intent on Bakugo’s face, he looks away. “Look at me. Bakugo Katsuki, look at me.”
He does.
“This is not your fault. You hear me? No-” she cuts him off before he can start to protest, “it’s not. Did you boil that water? Did you throw the water? Where were you even there when it happened?”
Bakugo shakes his head.
“Then it’s not your fault.”  Mina smiles, hands smoothing away Bakugo’s tear tracks, “I know you Katsuki, I know you want to take all the world's problems and make them your own, but you can’t. And that’s okay. You don't have to fix everything, you just have to be there for people.”
“When,” Bakugo croaks out, moving to lean against the wall behind them, “the hell did you start getting smart?”
Mina laughs, following him, offering her shoulder for him to lean on, “Pinterest man, teaches you some deep stuff.”
Bakugo snorts, stretching his legs out and leaning against her, “You’re so full of shit.”
“It’s why my eyes are brown.”
“Mmm. Hey Pinky?”
“Yeah?”
“You’re good at this bedside manner shit.”
Mina tangles her fingers with Bakugo’s, “I’m not going anywhere Blasty.”

Fic Rec Bingo
Tumblr media
Okie dokie, this is the Fan Rec Bingo - idea courtesy of lightvials on twitter, but I don’t have a twitter that I ever use, so I’m filling it out here instead.  Let’s see if I can fill it all out!
I did, and then some.  To save poor dashboards, it’s all under the cut!  If I know author tumblrs they’ve been mentioned - I know pitifully few so if anyone knows the ones I don’t, let me know so I can mention them, too!
A fic you love without knowing the source material: The Dragon-King’s Temple by Kyral (Stargate SG-1/Avatar the Last Airbender)
Through the spite of the spirits or plain rotten chance, a door that would have been better left untouched has opened. On the other hand, with Fire and Earth as one's allies, sometimes escaping is the easy part. Rated: Gen.  AO3 Archive Warning for Graphic Descriptions of Violence. Characters: Zuko, Toph Beifong, Janet Fraiser, Sam Carter, Jack O’Neill, and more Words: 196311.  Status: Complete
I very rarely read fics without already knowing the canon, but one that I think counts would be a Stargate/ATLA crossover, because I know nothing about Stargate and I have yet to finish ATLA!  This was recommended to me due to the creativity of the author regarding a language barrier (something I always enjoy, and my friend knows that).
---
A fic series with a premise that shouldn’t work but it does: Crazy=Genius by blackkat (Bleach/Harry Potter)
Minerva McGonagall isn't about to let Harry go back to the Dursleys after his first year. She finds an alternative, and along the way, Bazzard Black finds that he might have more family left than he'd ever thought. Rated: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Bazz-B, Harry Potter, and more Words: 21682.  Status: Incomplete
Okay, I cheated and picked a series.  Not my fault blackkat decided to make this universe a series of oneshots rather than a single entity and you’re certainly not getting me to only pick one of the five already published ones.  Bazz-B being a Black and also kinda a wizard is a brilliant concept, and having him adopting Harry is pure gold.  Not sure how crazy Quincy adopting poor, neglected Boy Who Lives works, but it does!
---
A fic you’ve reread several times: The Guardian (Director’s Cut) by SGTBrowncoat (Naruto)
Itachi Uchiha receives his first mission in ANBU: protecting a certain trouble making Jinchuriki. He bonds quickly with the boy, but dark forces rise to threaten Itachi, Naruto, and those they care for most. Rated: T.  Canon-typical violence Characters: Uchiha Itachi, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Shisui and more (includes Uchiha Itachi/Inuzuka Hana background pairing) Words: 35945.  Status: Complete
Back to my first ever fandom, here, and a really fun non-massacre AU fic, with lots of Itachi and Shisui goodness.  There are a fair few ANBU-looking-after-kid-Naruto fics but this is by far my favourite of them!  There is a sequel, but unfortunately it’s not finished and hasn’t been updated in a long time (I live in hope!)
---
A fic you still remember many years later: While The Ring Went South by Thundera Tiger (Lord of the Rings)
What happened after the Fellowship left Rivendell but before they came down off Caradhras? Behold the missing scenes. Rated: K+.  Canon-typical violence Characters: Legolas, Gimli, Aragon, Gandalf, the whole Fellowship Words: 149624.  Status: Complete
I refound this fic completely by accident the other week, after first reading it (according to when I favourited it on FFN) in 2011!  It was just as amazing as I remembered, and is really the standard I hold all other LotR fics to, especially ones that involve the entire, pre-Moria, Fellowship.  It has a sequel but sadly that’s not been updated in some time (but again, I live in hope!)
---
A comfort fic: There May Be Some Collateral Damage by metisket (Bleach/Harry Potter)
Ichigo’s been ordered to go undercover at a magic school to bodyguard a kid named Harry Potter, and this would be fine, except that he’s about as good at bodyguarding as he is at magic. And he considers it a good day, magic-wise, if he hasn’t set anything on fire. Rated: Gen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Kurosaki Ichigo, Harry Potter, Weasley Twins, and more. Words: 61209.  Status: Complete
I have no idea what this means by ‘Comfort Fic’ but if I want a laugh and Umbridge getting a pile of comeuppance, this is definitely the fic I’ll turn to.  As the A/N says: ‘sending Ichigo to Hogwarts is basically the same as swinging a wrecking ball directly into the side of the castle’.  Beautiful chaos is what we get.  Beautiful, beautiful chaos.
---
A cathartic fic: See You Again by cookietosser (One Piece)
Rocinante has been through a lot in his life. Adding uncontrollable time travel into the mix? That's just the icing on the cake. Rated: Teen.  AO3 Violence and (canon) Character Death Warnings Characters: Donquioxte Rocinante|Cora-san, Trafalgar Law, Heart Pirates Words: 15755.  Status: Complete
You want to rip my heart out and trample it into lots of little pieces while still making it all better because Law and Rocinante?  Well, this little time-traveller’s wife AU fic is just the one for all that.  Sad moments, frustrating moments, happy moments, all wrapped up in this oneshot!
---
A fic you’d print and put on your bookshelf: Thrower of the Dart by Vathara (Artemis Fowl/The Avengers)
What might have happened instead of Artemis Fowl book 6, if it'd happened in the Marvel Universe. Megalomaniacs ahoy! Rated: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Characters: Artemis Fowl II, Tony Stark, and more Words: 101272.  Status: Complete
It’s long, it’s epic, and it would nestle in perfectly at home alongside my Artemis Fowl books on the bookshelf!  It’s not so much a rewrite of book 6 as a complete replacement of it, with a new plot and an all too familiar villain!
---
A fic you associate with a song: Goodbye, Brother by Serena Estelle (Bleach)
Ilforte's final moments as I like to picture them-with his brother. Rated: T.  Canonical character death Characters: Szayelaporro Granz, Yylfordt Granz Words: 3073.  Status: Complete
Might be cheating, because the author actually names a song in their starting A/N, but this definitely brings to mind Exile Vilify by The National, and I fully recommend listening to that (on loop - there is a 10-hour loop version on youtube) as you watch this for maximum tear-jerking effect.
---
A fic that inspires you: Magic of the Rose Cross by Awensweth (Harry Potter/D.Gray-Man)
In Harry's 4th year the Triwizard Tournament is brought back to live, but the appearance of a fourth mysterious school about which only Dumbledore seems to know brings new secrets with it for everyone. Who are the students of Rose Cross? Rated: Mature.  AO3 Chose Not To Use Warnings Characters: Harry Potter, Allen Walker, and more Words: 66632.  Status: Incomplete
I have been inspired by many, many fics, but I chose this one in particular because it was the main one that inspired me to join the HP/DGM Triwizard Tournament wave of the early 2010s - indeed, The Combat School is one of my most popular fics, but without this and other fics of the trope, I probably would never have written it!  That’s not to say I’ve copied this fic - aside from the base trope I tried my best to make my own work unique against the others, and hope that I succeeded!  Sadly, this fic is incomplete and hasn’t been updated for some time, but it’s still worth a read.
---
A fic that brought you on board a new ship:  Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell by MsChunks (Boku no Hero Academia)
Uraraka and Bakugo have a secret. It’s not what their classmates think it is. Rated: Teen.  AO3 Chose Not To Use Warnings Characters: Bakugo Katsuki, Uraraka Ochako Words: 182478.  Status: Complete
Putting Bakugo and Uraraka together was something I’d never considered, and I started this fic with some trepidation after a friend recommended it to me, but said friend has never steered me wrong with fics and didn’t start now!  Fake dating, Uraraka actually being badass, the most terrifying couple in class 1-A?  That’s this fic.
---
A fic you wish could be a movie: Mission Impossible by Loopstagirl (Thunderbirds)
Being selected for his first solo mission should have been exciting for Captain Scott Tracy of the Air Force. But there was something else at play. Something dangerous and deadly. Something that could cost him more than his life. Rating: T.  Warnings: Violence Characters: Scott Tracy, Gordon Tracy Words: 55048.  Status: Complete
Air Force!Scott?  W.A.S.P.!Gordon?  On a joint mission together?  Yes, gimme, gimme, gimme.  Gimme Scott’s awkwardness alone on a boat of WASP personnel, gimme Gordon’s horror when he realises the suicide mission pilot is his older brother, and now give that all to me on screen!  And we can’t forget the Hood, of course!  Might be a bit higher rating than the current Thunderbirds stuff, but hey, I’m old enough.  Gimme.
---
A fic that led to you becoming friends with the author: The Gabriel Project by Aceidia (Bleach)  - @thetwelvecaesars
When Szayelaporro knew Aizen's reign in Heuco Mundo was coming to a close, he took matters into his own brilliant hands. He reincarnates himself and the other nine Espadas into a new life full of surprising turns and irony. Yet, the harmony and ignorance is not forever as they begin to remember. Rating: M (violence) Characters: Szayelaporro Granz, the Espada Words: 116030.  Status: Complete
Well, this fic sparked off a friendship that’s still very much there, even if neither of us write much for Bleach any more!  What started off as a challenge to identify who the Espada were turned into essay-length PMs about anything and everything, and then RP groups and now random emails about whatever at random times of the day (different timezones don’t help)!
---
A fic you’ve gushed about irl: Living Like Kings by CLynnB (Thunderbirds)
The world wants to know more about the Tracy brothers. So Lady Penelope takes it upon herself to show the world just who they are. Through YouTube. Rating: Gen.  AO3 Author Chose Not To Use Warnings Characters: Lady Penelope-Creighton-Ward, Tracy Family (background Pen/Ink, Scayo, Virg/Brains) Words: 35348.  Status: Complete
I love social media fics like this one, and my poor boyfriend got the brunt of it while we were on holiday... he knows basically nothing about Thunderbirds except for what he’s heard from me (which is a lot because he’s amazing and lets me gush).  I mean, Tracy boys playing “The Floor Is Lava?” and tackling each other to the ground?  Gimme.
---
A fic you associate with a place: Thunderbirds Meet Thunderbirds - Alan trip in to the movie verse by ak47stylegirl (Thunderbirds) @ak47stylegirl
Crazy stuff always happens to Tracys, don't they?  Add felling into a different world to the list. Rating: Gen. AO3 No Archive Warnings Characters: Alan Tracy, Tracy Family times two Words: 25599.  Status: Incomplete
This might be a little random, but this fic was one that I found while I was ill on holiday to the Lake District last autumn.  Sadly, it’s the only trip there I’ve ever done where I couldn’t climb a single fell (and my car’s clutch burnt out after having to reverse up a pass... thanks bus coming the other way), and this fic’s updates while I was there kept me sane!  This has actually very loosely inspired a fic of my own which is in the making - which might get posted in the next year if I’m lucky...  Still waiting eagerly for this fic’s next update :D
---
A fic that made you gasp out loud: The Colours Of The World by MaiKusakabe (Fullmetal Alchemist/Harry Potter)
When Roy Mustang went to retrieve his eyesight from Truth, he wasn’t expecting to end up doing a job in exchange. It couldn’t even be an easy job, of course, because Edward’s assessment of Truth was a pretty accurate one. Rating: Mature.  AO3 No Archive Warnings (but watch for canon-typical violence) Characters: Roy Mustang, Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black, and more Words: 120578.  Status: Incomplete
Badass Roy yesss.  Twists and turns and Truth is a pretentious you-know-what but Voldemort’s even worse so where does that leave poor Roy except caught in the middle and very much a war veteran at this point... much to the horror of a few wizards!

A fic you found at the right time: Seafaring Heartless: Exit North Blue by Avian Swallow (One Piece)
Pirates may be considered evil by the majority, but Law had met quite a few of the world's navy who were corrupt to the core and putting up a very thick facade. He reasoned that if he was going to manipulate and scheme his way into that goal, at least he was going to be honest enough to admit it. Rating: T.  Canon-typical situations Characters: Trafalgar Law, Bepo, Penguin, Shachi, Heart Pirate OCs Words: 159644.  Status: Complete
Is there ever a ‘wrong time’ to find a fic?  (a 100k+ at 4am debatable, but shh).  When I craved Heart Pirate content, this fic (and its sequel, still in progress but updating) appeared!  Only loosely clings to canon at the moment, thanks to some SBS revelations, but with well developed OCs to fill the faces we have no names or personalities for at the moment!
---
A fic that you would read fic of: Only a Boy by Riddle Lee (Harry Potter/Merlin)
Merlin has changed Camelot forever but while that part of his life is complete, destiny has a new task for him. Now he has to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, hide the fact that he's the Merlin, and defeat a Dark Lord that's messing with magic he knows nothing about. Rating: T.  Canon-typical situations Characters: Merlin, Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and more Words: 340998.  Status: Incomplete
An amazing universe with Slytherin!Merlin, no Harry Potter/Boy Who Lived, and the good old ‘hiding real identity’ trope to underpin the whole series.  Currently just into the start of Merlin’s third year at Hogwarts, aka “The Prisoner of Azkaban”.  This universe has so much to give, although Riddle Lee is doing a fantastic job at it.  It’s incomplete and slow to update but does update!
---
A fic that made you laugh out loud: HOW’S THE COMA GOING by ossicle (One Piece)
Kidd and Penguin keep trying to murder each other and Law is done with their shit. He assigns them to take care of each other’s injuries so they’ll learn to get along. It doesn’t work. Rating: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Characters: Eustass Kid, Penguin, Trafalgar Law (background KidLaw) Words: 2062.  Status: Complete
Oh this one had me in stitches basically the whole time.  Kid’s bedside manner should not be mimicked in the slightest, but a beautiful bonding fic in typical pirate fashion - beat ‘em up ‘til they have your approval.  Poor, poor, Law.
---
A fic with a line (or two) that you’ve memorised by heart: On Their Side by Gumnut (Thunderbirds) - @gumnut-logic
She trusted these boys with a great deal. Rating: Teen.  AO3 No Warnings Apply Characters: Colonel Casey, Virgil Tracy, Gordon Tracy Words: 1116.  Status: Complete
I think I have basically the entire thing memorised.  This one also falls into several other categories, most notably ones that made me laugh and ones that I’ve reread several times, but it really belongs here on this list.
---
A fic that gave you butterflies: it’s a long way forward so trust in me by aloneintherain (Miraculous Ladybug)
Six times Marinette carried Adrien (plus one time he carried her). Rating: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Characters: Adrien Agreste|Chat Noir, Marinette Dupain-Cheng|Ladybug (all sides of the love square) Words: 5611.  Status: Complete
Aaah I have a weak spot for strong!Marinette and this fic ticks that box time and time again, with a side of blushing!Adrien and general love-struck Adrien/Chat.  I mean, what more could a girl need?
---
A fic that embodies something you value in life: Team Itachi by Killer of thy Cookies (Naruto)
What if the Third Hokage stopped the council before they could order Itachi to commit the Uchiha Clan Massacre? Itachi is one of the village's strongest ninja, and has now been given the task of being a Jonin sensei, assigned to Team 7 with his little brother Sasuke, the 'dead last' Naruto Uzumaki, and fangirl Sakura Haruno. This is Team Itachi. Rating: T.  Canon-typical situations Characters: Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Sasuke, Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, and more Words: 155092.  Status: Complete
(Yup, another non-massacre AU.)  Loyalty.  Honestly, there are so many fics that have loyalty in them, especially in fandoms like Naruto, where loyalty is a pretty big thing anyway (alongside friendship, of course), but this one is Itachi staying openly loyal to the village because Sarutobi actually saved the clan, and of course lovely bonds between the team!
---
A favourite AU: A Son By Any Other Name by carryonstarkid (Thunderbirds)
Cursed as a child, Scott Tracy lives a life in which everyone he encounters must follow all of his given commands. Rating: Teen.  AO3 Chose Not To Use Warnings Characters: Scott Tracy, Tracy Brothers, Kayo Kyrano, and more Words: 83429.  Status: Complete
I rarely read AU fics - my preferred sandbox is the canon one, or a nice slice of canon diversion, rather than completely taking characters out of their home and dumping them somewhere entirely new.  This fairytale AU, however - reminding me very much of Sleeping Beauty except instead of sleeping it’s, well, what the summary says - is fantastically well done and addresses the strain such a thing would put on even the closest of family relationships.
---
A fic you stayed up too late to finish reading: As N Approaches Infinity by Corisanna (Bleach/Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Despairing as yet another timeline goes horribly wrong, Homura wanders into Karakura. There she discovers that while the spiritually-aware people of Karakura were distracted by Ichigo Kurosaki and Xcution, Kyubey had managed to contract the Kurosaki sisters as magical girls. Drawing the attention of the shinigami could be just the advantage Homura needs. Rating: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings but watch out for canon-typical situations for both fandoms (especially Madoka) Characters: Akemi Homura, Kurosaki Karin, Kurosaki Yuzu, Urahara Kisuke, and many more Words: 465297.  Status: Incomplete
There are many fanfictions that have kept me up til dawn.  Many.  This one, however, has literally robbed me of all my sleep and I’ve still been unable to finish it in one sitting.  It’s good, the pacing is fantastic, and with Homura as our leading lady, that means those time resets really hit hard when they happen (and they happen.  They really, really, happen).  Might be incomplete, but is still updating - and there’s plenty to keep you occupied in the meantime!
---
A fic that made you feel seen: A Seed Once Grown by Darkestwolfx (Thunderbirds) - @darkestwolfx
Believe it or not, they did have a garden on Tracy Island. It looked a little like a… tip. And that was being kind. Rating: Teen.  AO3 No Archive Warnings Characters: Ned Tedford, Tracy Family Words: 4785.  Status: Complete
Okay, so I’m taking this literally because I spend a lot of time feeling invisible on the internet so having a fic written for me from someone I’d barely spoken to before was a whole pile of screaming.  Not that it’s the first time someone’s written a fic for me, but the other ones have been done by friends I’d already known for some time, and not someone in a fandom I’m just starting to find my feet in.
---
Free space: whoo boy, fun time!  There are a few fics on the top of my head that didn’t fill any of the above prompts (or got beaten to the punch by another), so my wildcard space is going to be a few fic links without the extra detail because I’ve already spent about 12 hours on this to get to this point (did I get sidetracked and re-read a bunch?  You bet) and I’d quite like to also get some fic written today, too!
Eight-Day Week (JoJo Spotting) by TrufflestheMushroom (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
The Trouble With Eastern by teaandtumblr (One Piece)
Remembrance by ClioSelene (One Piece)
Legacy by MaiKusakabe (One Piece)

Scales and Scars (Prologue)
Tumblr media
a/n: Hey guys! I promise i am still working through the requests I have piled up to do! But I had this idea and had to write it! SO here’s another series that will have irregular updates! Hope you enjoy!
Word Count: 1011
Pairings: Eraserhead(AIzawa) X PresentMic(Hizashi), Reader X Class1A (Haven’t chosen who the reader ends up with, stuck between Todoroki, Bakugo, Kirishima, or Shinsou Let me know if you have a favorite!)
Warnings: Mentions of blood, torture, experiments
Masterlist
“Eraserhead, you are clear to enter the premises. Arrest any villians on sight.”
The crackle of static thread through the come in Aizawa’s ear along with Naomasa’s voice.
Clicking on it, he responded, “Copy. Present Mic, any sightings on the west side?”
Dropping silently from the rafters of the garage that he had been watching, Aizawa held his breath waiting for his boyfriend to reply, letting out a slow breath when the chirpy, touch-to-loud voice filtered through the comms.
“All clear here Eraserhead!”
“Nothing on the East side either, thanks for asking.” The teasing voice of Midnight said, “You two lovebirds can flirt later.”
Aizawa growled lowly, “We weren’t flirting Midnight.”
He could practically see her licking her lips as she purred, “We all know your idea of flirting is a nap with a cat. So who's to say this isn’t what gets you off?”
Aizawa silently thanked Naomasa as his frustrated voice took control of the situation again, “Focus you three. Midnight, Present Mic, you guys are only here cause All Might got called away last minute. This is a stealth and capture mission. The Intel states that a possible warp quirk user and shady characters have been seen around this garage. Eraserhead, are you in?”
Aizawa’s hair began floating off his shoulders as he activated his quirk, scanning the area, prepared for someone to jump out at him from any corner.
“It looks empty. Just a normal storage garage. Nothing in he-” He cut himself off when he heard the tiniest clink of metal, muffled and from underneath the floorboards.
Naomasa caught his tension through the comms, “What is it Eraserhead?”
Present Mic, Hizashi, was for once, quiet, as he whispered as well, “Sho? Are you okay?”
Aizawa stepped forward, his weight shifting, and he heard it again. Chains clinking, and a silent huff of breath.
“There’s someone here. Stay on standby.” It was abrupt and whispered.
Ignoring the protests from his boyfriend and Midnight and Naomasa trying to convince Present Mic not to jump into the garage, Aizawa peered down at the wooden floor planks.
Further inspection led to him seeing the faint outline of what could be a possible trap door.
Tugging at the edges proved his suspicions correct as the wooden boards creaked open. Pitch black darkness seeps up from the small opening. Broken stairs disappearing down into the dark.
Quirk still on, eyes straining from being open for so long, itchy from the perpetual dryness that came from his quirk, he took the first few steps, listening intently for that sound that drew him down in the first place.
As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw the stairs ended a few good feet down and it seemed to be a hallway with multiple doors on either side.
“Eraserhead, come in, what’s your status?”
“Seems to be an underground bunker. Checking doors now. Stay on standby.” Was his curt reply.
Then he heard it again. Clearer this time. Louder, closer.
Metal chains clinking on the concrete ground. A huff of breath, and a sniffle. Feet scuffing the ground.
Someone was down here.
On high alert, Aizawa checked the first door. It was a cleaning supply closet, nothing in it but brooms and buckets.
On the other side of the hallway, was where things took a turn for the villainous.
A white wash sterile operating room. Dark red, almost black, spots covered the floor and the operating table. Scalpels lay scattered on carts, and machinery lay tangled in the corners.
Aizawa felt rage and sickness rise in him. What sort of monsters?
Leaving that room, he walked down to the next one. Opening it showed an observation room that looked into the operating room. Walking further in, Aizawa saw charts laying on a dusty table.
“Guys, I found some charts down here alongside an operating room covered in dried blood.”
Present Mic’s voice was bitter and loud again, “What kind of sickos? I mean, I knew we were looking at Villains here, but what were they trying to do?”
Aizawa fought bile as he replied while staring down at the contents of one of the charts, “They were trying to make artificial quirks by experimenting on quirkless kids.”
Silence.
Heavy, deep silence as this news was processed by the cops and heros surrounding the garage on the top level.
And then an angry hiss, “I’ll kill them. I’ll knock them out so hard, they won’t see it coming.” Midnight was raging.
Having a quirkless cousin, she knew the prejudice and the stats that came with being one of the 22% populations to not have a quirk. And to think, people were rounding them up and experimenting on them, made her sick to her stomach.
Hizashi wasn’t much better, forcing himself to stay where he was as he practically vibrated in anger. Being born with a quirk was difficult by itself, but he never had to face what Quirkless people do. But he was a hero, he was sworn to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. How many kids? Adults? Lives in general had been stolen from right under there noses by these Villains?
Meanwhile Naomasa was stuck frozen next to his unit as he pictured his best friend, Toshinori, who had been quirkless until he was a young teen, being tied down, kicking, crying, desperately hoping for someone to save him. It was an image he prayed wouldn’t appear in his dreams that night.
“Looks like their all...gone.” Aizawa’s voice was rougher than usual, clueing his comrades in to how hard he was taking this news.
Backing out from the room, he left the folders there, knowing the cops would come and take the evidence once he was done clearing the area.
“Only one room left, and someone’s in there. Stay on standby.”
“If it’s the Villains-”
“Better hope it’s not-”
“We’ll make them regret being born.”
Blinking slowly, Aizawa activated his quirk one last time, and in one smooth motion, ripped the door open and stepped in with a glare.
“...It’s a kid.”

Vamp! AU, NSFW, Fingering, Degradation.
[Edited: 8-6-19]
Tumblr media
Katsuki Bakugo. He was labelled as many things. Most of those labels were associated as bad. He was a monster. The most feared and hated man in the village. Not that you could call him a man, he was a blood-sucking thief.
They just didn't understand. He was a hero. At least, that's what he called himself.
He protected the village from the werewolves. Territorial little bastards. They were oh, so greedy, wanting as much as land as they could find. They liked to mark land as their own, and snap the necks of their enemies without the blink of an eye.
But their blood tasted so foul. It was bitter as vinegar. Was it too much to ask for a little blood from the village as compensation for protecting them? No, it wasn't.
Then there were the fairies. There were different types of fairies, but they were typically the same. Morally obligated, do-gooders. They always saw the best in people.
Always trying to be helpful. A bit too cheery and happy for Katsukis liking. Although he's never actually met one, he heard their blood was rich and sweeter than honey.
Tumblr media
Tonight was the full moon. Every full moon Katsuki went out and kidnapped a girl from the village. He'd take her blood, and live off it for the month. This was why the village called him a monster, despite him protecting them.
Katsuki walked around the village, deciding on a house. The houses were all boarded up. Windows blocked out, doors nailed up. As if a few planks and nails could keep a vampire as vicious as him out.
He came across one house that stood out more than the others. The doors weren't as boarded up. They were boarded, it was just poorly done.
They were weak. He'd be doing them a favour by taking such a weakling out. A weak target, easier to take. It was just tiring when they fought back, however, Katsuki did enjoy the fight.
He pulled the two boards 'protecting' you out of the house with ease. It was pathetic really. The boards never stopped him, so why bother.
He pulled the covers off your body. You were kinda beautiful, but that just made him crave you more. You were in a nightgown. What really shocked him, were your wings.
Looks like he rumours of a fairy in the village were true. He pierced his lip with his fangs. Looks like he was hungrier than he thought. He would still have to wait until he brought you home to devour you.
The longer the wait, the sweeter the pray. You. You would be sweeter than any forbidden fruit.
Tumblr media
Katsuki laid you down on his bed. He couldn't wait any longer. He needed to taste your blood. He was hungry. Starved.
He moved your hair away from your neck. You were still asleep, your chest heaving up and down softly. He could hear your quiet heartbeat. He creased your soft and supple skin and plunged his fangs in.
It tasted sweet. Sweeter than anything he'd ever tasted. He wanted more of it.
You had woken up. Your eyes slowly widening as a sharp sting entered your neck. You gasped in pain, but it soon turned to soft groans.
It enticed him. However, your arms kept pushing him away. Coming out of his trance, not wanting to drain you of all your blood and kill you, he pushed himself away. Licking your blood of his lips he grinned at you.
"My little Fairy, your blood is so sweet I almost didn't control myself."
"Your Bakugo... Aren't you?"
You frowned. Your fate was sealed. He would use you as a meal for the month, then dispose of you before taking someone new.
Katsuki glared at you.
"Yeah, I fucking am. So get used to this. You belong to me now."
He turned around and slammed the door shut, leaving you with nothing but the sound of the clicking lock.
Tumblr media
After nearly a month of living with Katsuki, you hated it. He was rude, mean, and vulgar. He treated you like a personal blog bag, which you technically were. You were happy he hadn't killed you yet.
You couldn't help but feel bad for him. He was hated, which is why he was like this. He wasn't shown real love before. Among feeling bad for him, you felt something else. You couldn't identify the feeling.
He protected the villagers from the werewolves. You knew he protected the village. However, you never knew how hard it was, or how dangerous.
Katsuki limped his way into his house and dragged himself into his bathroom. He had blood dripping down his face, a gash in his arm, and his clothes were torn.
The thing about fighting werewolves, they're vicious. The thing about vampires fighting werewolves, werewolves wounds are more fatal to vampires. They take longer to heal, and hurt way more.
You followed him into the bathroom, and take out a rag to clean his wounds. You rinse the cloth with warm water and press it to his gash.
"Fuck! Stop that."
"I have to stop the bleeding. We both know what werewolf wounds will do to you untreated.”
He huffs and glares at you.
"It's not a wound. It's barely a scratch."
You cross your arms and glared back at him.
"Quit being bull-headed and let me help you."
He doesn't reply. You place the cloth on him again and clean him up. Trying your best to ignore his hissing and muttered swear words.
After you bandage him, you push him into the bed you've been sharing for the past month and lay next to him.
You hesitantly bite your lip, as you brush your hair off of your neck.
"Bite me."
"You want me to fucking bite you?"
"Yes. Feed off of me, you'll heal faster."
"No, I already fed off of you today."
You straddle him.
"You'll heal faster. You're weak right now."
"Fuck off."
"Just do it."
"No."
"Do it, or I'll cut open my hand and force-feed you."
“Fine, you fucking stupid fairy-ass bitch.”
He bites into your neck, plunging his fangs in you and sucking up your blood, drop by drop.
He pulls away after replenishing himself. He looks at you and sees you smile.
"See, was that is hard...?"
He watches your eyes flutter shut, as you fall unconscious.
"You idiot."
Tumblr media
When you wake up again, you see him sitting beside you. His wounds are almost healed and he has a sandwich.
"Eat it."
He says it so sternly, it puts shivers in your spine.
"I just woke up."
He sighs and softly speaks to you.
"Just eat the damn sandwich."
He looks you in eyes.
"Please...?"
You take it from him. This is the nicest he's spoken to you. This is the kindest he's acted towards you.
You slowly bite into the sandwich. You're glad he gave it to you. It actually made you feel better. It might not have been a good idea to have him take so much of your blood, but you're happy you did.
"Why do you protect the village if they hate you?"
"If I don't, who would? You? Those wolves would break your wings like a little twig. They might even do worse to you."
"But they hate you."
"Do you hate me?"
Katsuki moves closer to you and looks you in the eyes.
"No.”
"You could have killed yourself yesterday. You shouldn't have done that."
"You were in pain."
"Stupid little fairy."
"I’m not stupid."
"I'm the one who chose to go out and fight those mutts."
He was even closer to you now.
"I didn't wanna see you in pain."
"Why? I fucking brought you here! I held you captive. I drank your blood."
"Because I love you!"
Katsuki smashes his lips onto yours. Your lips move in sync. He bites your lip and grabs your butt pulling you closer to him. It elicits a deep guttural moan from you.
He can smell your dripping arousal with his vampire senses. It's provoking him. making him crave you with an insatiable hunger.
Katsuki pushes you down on the bed and rips your shorts off of you. He moves your damp panties to the side and slips two fingers inside you. With how soaking wet you are, his fingers slide right in, making a sploshing sound as they go.
"Look how wet you are for me. I barely touched you, and you're dripping wet."
Katsuki lowers his face to your heat. The smell of your luscious arousal hits his nose with a more formidable scent.
"Wet like a pretty little slut."
Katsuki feels you tighten around his fingers. He aggressively pumps them in and out of you.
"Whos dirty little slut are you?"
"Mhmm... I'm your’s Katsuki."
Katsuki brings his hand down and roughly smacks your heat.
"What are you?"
"I'm your dirty little slut, Katsuki."
Fingers still pumping in and out of you, Katsuki pulls you up by your hair and makes you look at him.
"Who do you belong to?"
"You."
He roughly jerks his fingers up inside you, making you cry out in pleasure.
"You, who?"
"You, Sir."
"Good Fairy."
Katsuki added a third finger. He roughly and rapidly pumped his fingers in your hole. Once he felt you tighten around his fingers he pulled out making you whine. You felt empty and bare without him in you.
He brought his hand, dripping with your succulent juices, up to his face. He licked his hand clean of you, moaning as he did.
"Not only do fairies have the sweetest blood, but they have the sweetest juices."
"Why'd you stop?"
Ripping your shirt and bra off of you, he speaks with a wanton need in his voice.
"You're not allowed to cum until I do."
He grabs your breasts and squeezes them in his hands. He assaults the right one with his mouth. He gently bites and pulls on your nipple while sucking and swirling his tongue around your areola.
With your left breast, he viciously attacks it. He pinches your nipple between his pointer finger and thumb. Rolling it and pulling on it.
He lets go of your breasts and pulls you closer to him harshly by the hips.
"I'm gonna fuck the daylights out of you."
He pushes his cock into you. He wasn't super wide, but he made up for it with length.
He mercilessly pounded into you. You grabbed onto the blanket under you and cried out as he continued his pleasurable assault on your body.
"You like that little fairy? You like when I pound your delicate body like this?"
You couldn't reply as he thrust into you. You could only let out a string of moans.
He slows down his movements. Making you whine, and crave him filling you up with his cock. His hand comes down and grips your neck.
"Answer me when I ask a question!"
"Mhm. Yes Sir. I love when you pound into me. Pound me like the dirty slut I am."
Katsuki growled as he thrust himself into you again. He felt ready to release into you, as you tightened around him.
“Cum with me, my little fairy."
He felt you tighten around him even more, milking him, as you ejaculate. He releases himself at the same time as you, filling and stuffing you up with his seed. If you could call it that seeing as he is a vampire.
As he pulls himself out, a stream of your mixed cum drips out of you. He pulls you against him and lightly kisses your head as you nuzzle against his chest.
"I love you too, my little fairy."

Fake Boyfriend - Part Five
Katsuki Bakugo x Fem!Reader
Part One. Part Two. Part Three. Part Four.
Warning for possible cursing and some slight lime content.  If you like what you read, please leave me with your thoughts. Commenting is Kindness! And if you’d like to suggest a series, the Ask Box is always open!
I hope you enjoy.
You heard the line go dead on your phone, and your teeth finally released your lip. With it, a small cry escaped and tears slipped down your cheeks. You couldn’t fathom anything that had just happened, so you were slowly letting it all sink in. Of course, you understood how your  mother could be, ruthless and very hard to talk to, but you had at least thought that there was some part of her that cared for you. Some small piece of her heart that loved you, held your near to her. But all of that was just thrown out of the window and run over by a car. Your mother had just proven to you just how heartless she was by vowing to you that no matter what, you would always do as she told you. You weren’t a daughter to her, you were just a piece on her game board. You were to carry on the family genes and that was your only purpose, to be married off and taken off of their hands. You were to produce children so that they can watch the genealogy grow stronger. Your happiness didn’t matter to her or your father. They didn’t care if you wanted to be married or not. They didn’t care if you wanted to be a mother. They didn’t care about you as a person. They only cared for you as an asset.
You threw your phone across the room, hearing it crack against the wall. You screamed at it, damning it and your mother. You couldn’t believe someone could be so hurtful, even villains couldn’t be so callous, and yet your mother had outdone them. Not all of them, of course. She wasn’t a murderer, but she might as well be. She was destroying your life one privilege at a time. She was controlling every decision that should be yours, soon you could expect her to make your every move for you too!
You started tearing apart the room, pulling the sheets off of your bed and tearing them. They were bought by your mother anyway. They curtains came down with a crash. She had paid a 20000 yen for them. The laptop sitting on your desk met the wall and snapped in half. It was her old one she had given it to you for school. With every item you broke, your cried and screamed, your room slowly becoming a crime scene.
Your closet paid up next. Everything your mother had bought you, everything she had ever wanted you to wear to special events or to make you look like a proper lady was promptly torn to shreds. You didn’t want to look at any of it. All ribbons and bows and lace accents were pulled off and the cloth was separated on the floor. The only thing you really had left hanging was your uniforms and your black band tee shirt Jiro had gifted you.
You were sat on the floor cutting up a dress when Bakugo opened the door. Your yelling had long stopped, but after ten minutes he had deemed it appropriate to enter. No one else had the balls to step towards your room, too scared that they would face your wrath or find a scary sight they wouldn’t be able to unsee. He closed the door behind him, his blank scowl slowly easing up as he noticed the disarray your room was in. It looked as though three tornados had swept through your room, the damage having damage done to it. When his eyes turned to you, you were stabbing the garment viciously.
He almost didn’t want to know, but he asked anyway. “What happened?”
You turned your glare onto him. Your eyes softened for a second, but then became dark again in an instant. You turned back to the specially made dress and ripped off a string of beading from its waistline. “Just forget it! Nothing we do is going to phase them! Nothing is going to make them see! Nothing is going to change this stupid marriage arrangement!” You ended up tearing the dress in half and throwing it on the ground. Your voice was full of venom and hatred, eyes burning with a thousand flames.
You stood up, walking to your desk and stabbing it with the scissors gripped tightly in your hand. “They’re going to make me marry that ass of a boy! No matter what I do or what I say! No matter what I want!”
“So you’re just going to give up that easily?” He stared you down, but you wouldn’t look at him. He didn’t like seeing you this way, but he pushed that aside. Seeing you give up was like watched someone kick a puppy - and he wasn’t about to add to the animal abuse. He felt a lump in his throat, but he willed it down and growled. “What kind of attitude is that, huh? You’re just gonna let them control your life just like that? You’re not even going to put up a fight?”
“What else am I supposed to do? Run away? I have nothing without them! They hold my whole bank account, they serve me everything I need,” you sniffled, voice finally lowering. After screaming so much, it was reduced to a scruffy and hourse squeak. It hurt to talk and to cry, but you couldn’t stop yourself. It had finally been revealed to you what vile scum your parents were and you couldn't not tell someone else. Even if that person was Bakugo. “Even if I tried, they’d probably have whole search teams looking for me. The government, the works. So what would be the point? I can’t do anything. They have every card in their hands.”
He blinked, processing what you had just said to him. It wasn’t what you said to him, but how you said it. It was as if you were giving him your final words in battle before surrender. Like you were trying to relieve him of duty before you walked into the shit storm that no one would come out of. But it was just your parents, they could be controlling and unbearable at times, and you were giving into them so easily. Sure, he believed the quirk marriage idea was stupid, but he was sure your parents could be worn down with time.
“Fuck, what are you going on about?” he asked, walking closer to you. He had to walk over broken hardware and hangers. He didn’t care to step on the cloth, it was already destroyed and he was sure that given the opportunity, you would have burned them.
You backed away from him. “You didn’t even want to do this in the first place, so you can go now,” you told him, turning your back to him. You tore down a posted and started ripping it up. Little slips of the paper fell to the floor when you were done. “So just go.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” he told you. That was like leaving an injured partner in the middle of badly, and he was too good for that. Sure, he didn’t like working with others, but he knew what he had to do over what he wanted to do. “You really think pulling me into a bunch of shit like this and then telling me to go is going to work? We haven’t even been at this a few days and you’re already giving up!”
You turned to him, throwing your first at him. He caught it, pinning you to the wall behind you. “Why do you want to do this?”
He didn’t really know, but he knew that it had to do with the sad and defeated look in his eyes. But his tongue was quick to answer for him. “Because you’re acting like a baby. It’s annoying but I’m already involved. Plus, you’re not getting out of training with me, princess.”
You looked at him, eyes finally softening. Your walls were breaking down right before his eyes, but he didn’t say anything about it. He only used his free hand to grab your waist and kiss you, reminding you what you should be doing. Instead, he was forced to watch you wallow and cry when you were supposed to be one of the strongest students in the class. For whatever reason, he couldn’t watch you fall.
You had one free arm and you nearly used it to push him off of you, but you didn’t. You used your hand to cup his face, the back of it lightly brushing your own cheek. You felt your own dried tears and felt a pang of sadness reaching back up from within, but kissing Bakugo chased it away.
His other hand slid down your arm as his body pressed you into the wall. His rough hands moved down to your hips and gripped them, pulling you into him. With that simple notion, the kiss took its turn and became more heated. His tongue swiped across your lower lip, demanding entry. Your arms stayed close to his shoulders, gently shaking, as you gave it a few seconds to ponder. Your lips parted the slightest bit - this being an all new experience to take in.
But it was enough for him, and he used his lips to pull yours open wider. His tongue met yours, but it was nothing like how you expected it to be. The moment it happened, he was gentler. All except his hands, which wrapped around you to pull you into him more. He almost couldn’t get enough of you, breathing you in only to remember that he had only kissed you to shut you up, to prevent you from objecting to throwing out the plan. But he didn’t even have a good answer for himself for as to why he needed the plan to keep going.
Your skin was tingling, hot against his. You didn’t know if it was from the warmth of his own body or the intensity of the kiss or both, but it was something new. Something dangerous and adventurous. It sent a new sensation through you, one you couldn’t describe or really grasp whilst his mouth was on yours.
You both pulled away from one another, him glaring into your eyes. It wasn’t the same anger filled scowl he gave everyone else though. This was a glare with a goal, an achievement yet to be reached. He smirked, panting and your warm brathes mixing together.
“Let’s show your parents who owns your life.”
He watched you smirk, almost evilly, as you were still just as out of breath as he was. Everything was falling back into order and you slipped out of his grip, walking to where your phone laid on the floor. Lifting it from its place, you checked it over carefully before tapping it calculatingly.
The look in your eyes was almost criminal, watching the words appear across the broken screen as you typed them out. You didn’t even hesitate as you sent the dinner plans to your father. After it was efficiently sent, you tossed the device aside and looked at your boyfriend.
“Wear something nice this weekend,” you ordered, licking your lips. “You’ll want to at least act like you’re trying to impress my parents.”
He chuckled, moving closer to you. He stood mere inches away but it felt oddly normal. “If I were you, I wouldn’t worry about me,” he teased, looking around at the pieces of clothes that littered your floor. He watched your expression change from prideful and confidence to worry in a matter of seconds.
He pet your head and walked to the door. “I’ll see you tomorrow, babygirl.”
You whipped your head to yell at him for that nickname, but he was already halfway out the door. It clicked closed as soon as you cursed him for it.
