I DO KIND OF… I have so many AU abt them…. But the main one I usually mess with that’s still within the dsmp world is uh LOOSELY based on Rev’s revival going wrong and ripping a hole into different universes.

Lman accidentally walks through a hole, it’s so seamless he doesn’t even notice until he walks home and finds a giant crater and has a mental breakdown.

Pogs life was different in his universe, Lmanberg failed from the beginning, he goes into the button room, sees a crack and crawls through, unknowingly slipping into a different universe. He crawls back out but everything’s now way more fucked up, he’s confused so he climbs out, he’s less freaked out than Lman, but still is like… is the hole bigger… what the fuck-

through some misunderstanding, they get into a physical fight and argue. Their relationship is sour for a LONG time.

the fight is interrupted by Rev and Ghostbur (and everyone else) on the glass also being confused and loud. They all end up on the glass like WHATTT THE FUCK IS GOING On. Ghostbur and Tommy fuckign DIP out bc neither want to confront this.. weird shit.

The Burs scatter for awhile, they have vague memories of each other and each life, but they’re all different enough that they’re struggling on their own, people recognize them, but it’s.. wrong.

Rev has the most memories out of all of them, he’s the original. Phil encourages him to go and find the others, who knows what shit they’re getting into? Lman is crashing at Niki’s underground base, Ghostburs with Tommy, Pog is.. in a fucking cave somewhere trying to contact his own team, his communicator is NOT working, obviously, not that he was on good terms with anyone anyway.

Uh.. that doesn’t necessarily answer but… that’s how they end up in the world together. Whenever Rev actually manages to get ahold of them all they agree to stay in contact for safety reasons. It takes awhile for any of them to get along.

I think what gets Lman and Pog on a first name basis is a near death experience lmao

Other stuff or people also could’ve slipped through, but I haven’t rly thought abt it bc I made all this up solely for the gayasses 👍

Also Ghostbur is 100% possessed by Schlatt in this AU.

hmmmmmm i dunno if this is a take that's been more common these last few months or if it's just a few posts that got too popular, but i've been seeing a lot of fans who seem to enjoy... hating the dream smp? i've seen SO much stuff along the lines of "can this just end so i can stop watching it"/"x character is the only redeemable thing left"/"i don't know why i'm still here"/LOTS of writing crit that is more bullying than it is constructive

and!! well!!! i wanna counteract that!!! bc i think a lot of us have forgotten what makes the smp so special. like, remember the start of it? at a time in history when all popular media was tropey bad hollywood, or poorly written netflix, or capitalist ceos maximising on hollow rehashed uninspiring tales—when every piece of media on earth is censored or altered or otherwise made palatable—the dream smp was there. loud and bold and new—and so much FUN, dammit!! remember why we loved it? because it was fun! because it was a bunch of friends having fun! friends that weren't tied to a parent company, that weren't forced to write or say anything at all, and did it anyway—for fun, for love, for the joy of entertaining their viewers. it was silly and messy and dramatic and ripped from hamilton and breaking bad and everyone loved it, everyone put on the lmanberg skin and enchanted their gear and got ready for war. like yeah the dream smp is brilliant acting/portrayal/whatever, but we can get that anywhere else. what the dream smp had, and continues to have above all else, is that it's fun. you can tell the creators love doing it, even though they don't have to. it's got actual heart to it. people love watching it. i love watching it!! i love that it's messy and retconned and so clearly a mosaic of a dozen or so amateur writers trying to do the best they can!! i love how hard they try to make it good—seeking out inspo from fan designs, working with people outside of the cast, coming up with things they find interesting or new. and i j—the dream smp above all else to me is fun. and a lot of people seem to have lost that. it shouldnt be painful for you to watch, yknow? it shouldn't piss you off so much that you're desperate for it to end. this is a story that sprung up in the middle of some of the most dreadful events any of us ever experienced—and when it did, it made quarantine something worth remembering. and i'll always cherish that. ofc people are allowed to feel what they want to feel, but. i think we all sometimes need to remember that this silly minecraft roleplay is here to be the weird silly lovely messed up thing it is, yknow? i think we need to love it for its messiness again. i think we need to remember to have fun

I'm not good w/ words either so what im about to say probablllly is gonna only make sense to me. And who knows maybe someone else out there made this already for all i know! Im just having brainrot!!!

Wilbur's lore Stream "inconsolable Differences" Spoilers!

What piqued my interest into discussing this topic was from today's lore stream when cWilbur danced with cTommy at the beach. It was a touching scene of finally fulfilling something so late for cTommy. Tommy played "Cat" in the jukebox and they both had a lovely time (the calm before the storm).

Here, cTommy chose to put his trust in Wilbur and handed over his discs for their plan.

As we know, those discs have basically become something deeply integral to cTommy's character. The significance of those discs are huge as they represent everything Tommy's ever went through.

Since I wasn't here in the early lore streams, i can only make guess-timations/loose headcanoning of those stuff to put these pieces together. I also don't have any major knowledge of when he had the discs vs when he didn't- it's all vague.

My asumption is that cTommy seemed like the kind of kid who played his music discs alot. Anytime, all the time. If the vibes were right then he was playing them. Then the disc wars happen and the lmanberg independence war happens and he doesn’t get as much time but he still listens to them occasionally, but they would be in his enderchest more often than not.

Then exile happens. He doesn't play a single note.

He plays it twice or thrice when he's at Technoblade's.

And after everything else, after cdream was in prison, he plays the tunes on the bench on the hill. He doesn't listen to it as much, but they're always prepared for a rainy day.

Then dream breaks out and he doesn't listen to even a single note; except for that brief moment of peace with cWilbur.

In the face of pain and darkness, Tommy tends to close up his heart. The trauma he's experienced have absolutely destroyed his sense of safety. And if the discs were his heart, then the enderchest was Tommy.

(Excluding the fact that the cc's arent online as much from being busy with irl things), Tommy rarely plays his discs anymore. Every now and then he peeks out but ultimately recedes back in every time.

As something that holds great significance to cTommy, those discs are also a sign of great vulnerability for him too. As they should of course, he put so much effort into them, but same point either way.

Note back to when cTommy thought wilbur destroyed his discs. Tommy sounded absolutely destroyed, absolutely devastated, like cWilbur literally ripped his heart to shreds and stomped all over it. CTommy genuinely thought that everything, everything he had put into those discs were gone, just like that. Poof.

I don't really have a way to close this off, i just had a neat time rambling haha. So uh- bye☆

sdkfjk i think this is abt tangent au? anyways pulls out a chair before we get started im going to talk for 2 hours about elektra natchios bc i promise it's relevant /j

i'm not sure when or if i will end up writing this as an actual fic and in which case everything i say will probably be spoilers but fuck it i don't believe in spoilers anyways

ok i mean there's a lot. that i could say but yknow what i'll elaborate more on the lmanberg story. it's. well ok at the barebones it's a year one for tangent!Wilbur Soot.

the backstory (that wilbur himself does not remember) is that he's Philza (prominent superhero in Aether City) son and like 5(?) years ago he was killed getting caught up in a supervillain plot. got completely blown up. Also Phil is a nonhuman entity- an angel by earth terms, but technically the High Host are an alien race (like the New Gods of DC). Phil came to Earth and eventually had Wilbur, who inherited most of but not all of his father's non-human traits. So. Yeah. Aliens.

And then he got resurrected in L'Manberg by Dream for yet to be revealed reasons

Wilbur chose the last name "Soot" for himself post-resurrection because the smoke and ash from the explosion that killed him is one of the only thing he remembers.

The rest of the current main cast of wilbur's year one / lmanberg arc is: Fundy, Tubbo, Quackity, and Schlatt.

Fundy is. Okay wait I wrote out bios for everyone in my notebook. Junior in high school, STEM kid, he's family friends with the Nihachu's and way way back when he was smaller Niki used to be his babysitter and then when he got older Niki was his friend and now Niki's at college but he still hangs out at the Nihachus' bakery where he meets Wilbur. he doesn't have a ton of friends outside of Tubbo and 5up on the robotics club. Hbomb too but H is also at college now. (rip). He lives with his mom, Sally, who is an ecologist and very busy but we don't fault her for that she's doing her best.

Schlatt is the leader of the biggest criminal faction of L'Manberg's underground. He's a powerful dude, with a lot of reach. Even in the city government. I think he gets a scary epithet but i haven't thought of it yet. He's got a plan to gain complete control of the city by creating a force of superpowered agents by activating dormant metahuman genes in regular people. That's. uh. blatantly ripped off from Young Justice but shhhh you don't know that haha. anyways i was gonna name the project Project Cadmus as a mythological reference but Cadmus is a DC thing of course it is so the current candidates are MYRMIDON, LYDIA, COLCHIS, or SPARTAE.

Tubbo and Quackity aren't as backstory heavy but they do have a lot to do when the plot ball starts rolling. Tubbo's a high school senior and Quackity's a law student who's back in L'Manberg for an internship with the city courts. Q walks in on the wrong thing at the wrong time and gets promptly disappeared. cough he may as well be dead as fuck and forcibly receives superpowers via the COLCHIS (name pending) program. Anyways both the nature of his superpower and all the trauma fucks Q up rlly bad and he becomes Chimera, a villain(not really?) with the power to take on the characteristics and capabilities of others except integration is painful and Q loses a bit of himself each time and his power always kills the other guy. and he struggles to control which aspects he takes.

yknow what it's kind of like elektra/the black sky in the defenders tv show. sorry that its becoming increasingly clear that i just tossed a bunch of cool things i liked into a blender to make this au. anyways q is set up to parallel wilbur in the respect that theyre both struggling to grasp their identity after post literal or metaphorical death and resurrection.

meanwhile Tubbo is understandably incredibly upset that his brother is gone and possibly dead? what? no he's not dead he can't be dead. he searches for Q really hard and ends up uncovering a lot about COLCHIS and Schlatt.

Probably important to mention that L’Manberg has been blown up three times, once by the dream team that damaged it a bit but they rebuilt. Once by the founder which damaged it a lot but they rebuilt. And once by the green man and the pig which totaled it and and they all just decided fuck it.

It is now (affectionately) known as L’Manhole, L’Crater, or just “the giant crater that sits in the middle of the smp”

As an amateur vexillologist (Flag nerd hehe), this was the most news aside from the Mississippi revamp the community on tumblr had seen in years. And, it was gorgeous. It followed international guidelines for what makes a good flag, and looked good. It was creative, had an extensive history and meaning towards its design— and it had heart. It was well made, and boy, I adore the flag. I would gladly design flags for the community and other respective territories in universe, but I don’t think I could get to such a level of beauty as the L’Manberg flag. RIP at o a beautiful nation with a beautiful flag.
