ENTRY SEVENTY-FOUR
Despite having a wide range in music taste, there's only a handful of bands that have really stuck with me through the years, getting me through the bad and helping me celebrate the good.
My top three of this handful are Nine Inch Nails, Tool, and Type O Negative.
A couple of days ago, I came across a comment section discussing Peter Steele's death. Something that was said, that was agreed with and emphasized on by multiple people, has been bothering me to my core since I read it.
Many people feel that Peter Steele would still be alive today had he "been with someone who gave a shit."
We might still have him around today "if he had someone who cared enough to get him to the hospital on time."
My heart sank and my stomach dropped after reading this. I immediately logged off. That didn't sit well with me at all.
I then tried looking it up. I felt discouraged and silly, giving up rather quickly. I thought I didn't know how or what, in specific, to search for anyway. I also thought there's a chance that it might not be true, that it's just talk, rumors, that kind of thing.
"Maybe people were just saying that because they don't like her. I have no clue!" Now I'm starting to question myself. I log back on to look for the comment section but everything refreshed and I didn't catch the name of the page that made the post.
True or untrue, the thought alone really fuckin disturbed me. I mean, it really did. He deserved someone to care for who he was outside of the celebrity. I hope to the Gods that those comments weren't true.
Peter Steele, aside from "musical genius" and "one of the most influential," was described to be kind, generous, helpful, supportive, inventive, and a hard worker.
When I'd see interviews with him on TV back in the day, and seeing interviews today when venturing around on YouTube, I found him to be very interesting, intelligent, and insightful. His dark humor was always fun too. And, of course, he was drop dead gorgeous. 🥰😌 The man was a living god, just saying.
Needless to mention the passion in the music he wrote and in the performances he gave (thank you TV and YouTube for letting me experience that by the way, I never got to see Type O Negative live).
He believed showing the world his heart would draw people to the band, and he was right. He said he wanted to be remembered as someone who helped people through hard times, and he is. It makes me sad to know he was sobered up, excited to make more music, and hopeful for the future just before his passing. Gut-wrenching when you think about it, and when you think about all the things he went through before that as well.
Being misunderstood, struggling with addiction, and the mental health issues involving Bipolar disorder, grief, depression, dealing with the aftermath of lockup, and feeling betrayed by his family. He also said himself he had huge problems with abandonment and loss, probably because he experienced those things more than we know.
In addition, being unlucky in love still blows my mind to this day. Especially knowing how he was worshipped by women all over this country, including me. How many of us out here would've worshipped the ground he walked on? And you mean to tell me some of the women that actually had a chance, screwed it up? Considering things like taking the breakups hard and being cheated on, he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, wasn't he? Some souls are just too good for this world, I swear. And his was one of them.
But that's what terrifies me... He was unlucky in love, so what if the comments are true? Literally makes me sick to think about, especially since the band, his childhood friends, tried to reach out to him when he was sick but was only able to speak with her. There's a dark aura all over that.
Someone please tell me it's a rumor, that he had a good woman at his side in those final days. Hearing about toxic exes shows where a person was lost and hurting, and he deserved better. He deserved peace and quiet and comfort. He deserved protection.
Men like this, regardless of how big and tall and strong they are, need to be protected. Their bodies are hard but their hearts are fragile. People that are kind-hearted will often suffer the most in life. The way he loved his women and the way he loved his animals showed he felt everything so, so deeply. He needed to be protected. Yes, men are biologically stronger than we women are, but they need us to protect them too, just in a different way.
My guess is that Peter's spirit is still with us, silently urging us all to never forget about Type O Negative. And we never will. RIP 💔

There's Never A Moment Without A Luther Song. He "Luthered" All Songs
Easily remembered as one of the most relevant singers of his generation, Luther Ronzoni Vandross Jr - singer, songwriter, producer - remains a legend. For more than two decades, he held our attention, gained our admiration and thrilled us with his voice. For almost every moment in our lives, there was a Luther song; soothing us when our hearts were broken, celebrating love, caressing us, romancing us. His music took us to places of joy, of comfort, introspection, romance and naturally, love! He "Luthered" all songs.
I celebrate the singer Luther Vandross. No one compares. My number one male singer of all time. Been a follower for over four decades, from "Never Too Much to "Dance With My Father". Gone, But Ain't Forgotten. Rip.

"...you've had someone to wait for as well?" she asks, noticing a look in his eyes. she feels like she carries that same look herself whenever her eyes linger on a pair of human siblings during her walks. he seems aged: wartorn, like he has been through a lot, so she feels no need to take a jab at him like with most people. / for your inbox call 💗 hope this is okay !
the question wasn't had he someone to wait for, it was more like who did he not have to wait for? it seemed the more he lived, the more he waited and waited and waited. kratos aurion, ancient hero of yore spent most of his days like this. task oriented and driven, providing a safe haven from his own mind, from himself. had the past few thousand years caused him to become so relaxed, so unguarded that even a youth such as the one before him could see beyond, the truth hidden beneath the truth ( eyes are the window to the soul ). he could be more, he had become more. bringing aselia to an age of unparalleled peace, of boundless happy days.
at least he was wise, perhaps she another child warrior, a would-be solider whom was dragged into the terrible affairs of another, perhaps taken onto seeing the rotten world for what it was. ripped from a simple life ( but was anyone's life ever truly simple? ): still, the true lionhearted always found adventure, even if they had to throw themselves into that misguided fire.
Tumblr media
winds gentle hymns grounded him. the linger scents of aeons ago ( of times long gone / the holy grounds of forgotten kharlan ): she, blond, radiant had the eyes of sadness ( as a chosen sent to the slaughter / of warriors dying on the battlefield ): the world was not kind, it knew not mercy for birth, creed, nor age. still, even with all the good he had done, all the good that kratos would continue to do into the countless unforeseen millennia. just what had occurred to someone so young have gone through? to cause her expression to be that of one who knew more tragedies than victories? bright yellow, as sunshine as rebirth was a canvas upon her skin.
❛   keep living. you'll never stop waiting. someone or something, all the same, child. ❜ words could be taken as the tall tales of an old man, of a long gone individual  and the girl before him would be none the wiser, would have no idea ( of just who and what this man used to be ): when was the last time kratos really got a chance to spill his guts, to let everything become words and take shape into the air--never. still, facts would always outweigh fiction ( just as life would always be more than death ): even if he spoke of his truth, his truth was long dead: buried and laid to eternal rest. an old fool was all kratos would be seen as and it was a simple, to play inside the mind’s with realism’s and color-coded speech. all children learned of the supernatural ( of the devil’s and blood-lusting soul suckers. ).
Tumblr media
inturn, these legends are passed on down to the next generation, left to get twisted and distorted from the original source material. these where based in creative freedoms, based upon getting youth’s to do as parents wished - to give relief and salvation from childish worries and terrors. nobody needed to know he was a deciding factor in these stories--the lessons rained true all the same. ❛   ignore the ramblings of an old man. but yes, once i waited. i no longer do. ❜
after all, he'd learned the lesson very long ago it due no good waiting on the dead.

Sinisa Mihajlovic: 1969-2022
Tumblr media
This one hurts on many levels
Sinisa Mihajlovic, the man that lit the spark that eventually became a revolution and scudetto, passed away this morning. He was only 53. Without him Milan don’t have the foundation for what later became a scudetto. His time at Milan was only 287 days, not even a whole season, but his impact was immense.
Tumblr media
First he demanded that Milan bring in Alessio Romagnoli, who he had begun grooming at Sampdoria. Romagnoli would slot straight into the Milan lineup and carry through the flag all the way through the Banter Era, making 205 appearances and eventually captain a Scudetto winner.
Tumblr media
Then of course he promoted a mostly unheard of 16 year old goalkeeper. When he first appeared in that friendly our minds were blown. Was this real? Maybe a publicity stunt by Berlusconi or Galliani? Nope. The kid was real. He made his first start in October and was the new number 1 within weeks. He would go on to make 215 appearances for Milan. We all know how the story goes from there.
Personally when I took over this blog it was dark days. There was zero hope for such a long time. So many missteps. Mihajlovic changed all that, giving us a glimmer of youth and hope we so desperately needed. We hadn’t had good young talent in so, so long. Then of course, like every coach during that era, he was gone. His mark would never be forgotten though. I’ll always remember his time as the moment when we turned the page. Without him there’s no foundation to build upon.
A Milan legend in my book.
RIP mister.

10 years ago not only that I got to meet @jdfffn for first time @newyorkcomiccon same time I debuted as a Cosplayer, I saw him year by year but never gotten latest photo of him in my ranger suit and thought of planning getting the green and white suit which I still am, words can not describe how I feel because I am a super fan of the series since 93 and Tommy is the most popular ranger in the series, set aside of good and bad, this man truly love his fans, he knows it. Fame and personal life can get you crazy that make you do things you don't want to do. For someone myself who has been in that path and thought of disappearing for good because I really felt alone, like no one isn't there and make sure if I'm ok. If you are a family or a friend, like if you are really love that person and isn't there, please do so. The heart of the series is gone, but will not be forgotten. Thank you Jason david frank for helping out making the series alive and still willing to be there for your fans no matter the good and bad. We have demons and we still are battling them. Always be there for each other, not only through social media which I hate but call or visit them. ENTRY 170
Every year since his passing, fans have paid their respects to, and mourned the immense loss of, Peter Steele from the band Type O Negative.
I acknowledged the loss in the past but this year is unlike the others. For the first time since becoming a Type O Negative fan, I have a better understanding of what was actually lost to us.
I openly admit that there was a lot about Peter Steele that I didn't know. There is no other reason for this other than the fact that I just never learned about who he was as a person. Of course, I thought he was talented, of course I thought he was handsome, I just never looked into the details of his life.
I was more taken with Trent Reznor as I felt Nine Inch Nails expressed the angst and sadness I felt in a way, with certain sounds, that just fit me a little bit better. While my favorite band hasn't changed, my favorite singer certainly has.
I wrote about it in my seventy-fourth entry, a brief recap of what I recently learned. It was inspired by a comment section on social media where a couple of fans accused his last girlfriend of negligence. I wasn't aware of such a situation and never once knew or assumed that it was possible.
In lightly pursuing that somber topic, I eventually came to learn more about him. He was misunderstood, fighting addiction, having mental health struggles, grieving, depressed, dealing with the aftermath of lockup, feeling betrayed by family, trying to cope with loss, battling abandonment issues, and being unlucky in love.
This made my heart and mind break open wide as it provided a more revealing depth and life and sustenance to the songs I had listened to, to the music I had heard. Not that there wasn't any before, but now I could truly feel his voice and his words. Hard to explain. The art just hits different when you have a better understanding of the artist.
Same thing can be said for my little experience here. His music and his death are hitting different now that I have a better understanding of him, of who he was.
Consider everything he went through, then consider that despite all that, he was still so passionate and so loving instead of shutting down. That's not for the weak, you know. It takes real strength to maintain those qualities after going through hell.
A pure soul was lost, not just an amazing musician and lyricist, not just a great man, but a pure soul - as is anyone who can maintain their friendly, kind, humorous, and caring nature after a rough life where others may succumb to apathy.
And that is a much more positive tone for the blog, and a much more positive approach to the loss that can never be rectified. To revisit not only the gifts of the photography, acting, artwork, and music that he left behind, but the ways in which he is remembered to this day.
Someone who was a musical genius, one of the most influential, an original, kind, generous, helpful, supportive, creative, smart, intriguing, passionate, caring, funny, insightful, gorgeous, and hard-working.
While it cannot be denied that Peter Steele's loss still stings to this day, 14 years later, from April 14th, 2010 to April 14th, 2024, it also cannot be denied that we can seek solace in his work, even if it hurts knowing he's gone but wanted to continue. And I can only imagine how incredible it would've been to see Peter Steele and Type O Negative evolve and transcend over time.
Ending this blog with the same conclusion as the blog that started it all, my favorite song, and some more lovely pics.
"My guess is that Peter's spirit is still with us, silently urging us all to never forget about Type O Negative. And we never will. RIP 💔" ENTRY 74 - Jan. 29th, 2024

So, if you follow theme park news, you may have heard that Disney is going to be ripping out the classic ride Dinosaur from their Animal Kingdom park, and replacing it with an Indiana Jones ride, likely similar to those in Anaheim and Tokyo.
Tumblr media
Sorry, Aladar, you're getting evicted.
It seems that most theme park fans would like to see a new Indy ride, but some are upset about losing the dinosaurs.
The thing is... I think you can have both! There are plenty of pulpy adventure stories about a lost world of dinosaurs. In fact, I figured out one way they could do it efficiently... it's what I would do if I were in charge of Imagineering, anyway. You'll recognize most of these effects from other rides (and even some which are just left in place from Dinosaur.) I give you...
Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth!
The experience begins just like Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (the ride out in California): We wind our way through the elaborately-themed queue as it passes through a jungle and into the shade of ancient ruins.
On the cool stone walls, we see Peruvian carvings depicting an enormous cave, where giant humanoid figures offer gifts to much smaller supplicants. But as we go deeper into the ruins, the carvings also begin to depict fearsome reptilian monsters. We come across artifacts which seem to be much too large to be made by regular humans: five-foot-long sandals, for instance, or a cracked soup bowl big enough to sit in. (These could make for good photo ops!)
Tumblr media
Eventually, we end up in the safety briefing room, where Sallah informs us (via pre-recorded video) that while Indiana Jones was exploring this temple, he found an entrance to a vast system of subterranean caverns, full of larger-than-life plants and animals, seemingly forgotten by time itself! They go so deep that the researchers have begun joking that the planet must actually be hollow inside. Last week, Indy went in deeper than anyone has gone before, seeking evidence of the Staff of Giants: An artifact that, according to local legend, was forged by the mythically large people who once lived in the caverns, and holds the power to tame the mightiest beast. Unfortunately, Indy never returned from his expedition. Sallah is sure he's fine... wherever he is! But if we should happen to see Indy on our *very safe* private jeep tour of the pre-explored parts of the "Hollow Earth," we'll help him out, won't we?
We board the jeeps, which pass into a carved stone hallway, the walls lit by unnaturally large fluorescent fungi. Freshly-painted signs point out the tour route.
Tumblr media
Suddenly, the vehicle shakes violently, and and the floor seems to crumble under us! The lights blink out as we lurch downward--and then out into a large natural cavern, where Indy stands spotlighted on a rock. He tells us that the floor caved in, and now we're all trapped in the Hollow Earth. We need to find a way out, and fast... the wildlife is BIG down here!
Tumblr media
We roll from cavern to cavern, menaced by various threats. Enormous glowing bugs jump on rocks, and drop down on us from the branches of ancient trees. A carnotaurus lunges from behind a bush, defending its kill. A huge snake--perhaps a Titanoboa--threatens to strike at the jeep. A giant human skeleton lies sprawled in a clearing, its boney fingers still clutching an ornate silver staff. Its tip seems to crackle with electricity. "It's the Staff of Giants!" we hear Indy yell.
But beasts are not the only threat. Through the trees, in a quiet moment, we see the glimmering of a vast ocean, overshadowed by roiling clouds. Before we can wonder at the impossibility of a storm underground, the clouds begin to flash with lightning. Suddenly, a lightning bolt strikes the cliff next to the jeep, and boulders above us teeter menacingly.
We careen deeper and deeper into the caverns, until finally we come face to face with the carnotaurus again. Indy is there too, waving the staff we saw earlier, trying desperately to scare the carnotaurus away from the jeep. Suddenly, just as all seems lost, a bolt of electricity arcs from the staff and strikes the carnotaurus right on the nose. It rears back and roars in pain as we barrel past it to freedom.
Tumblr media
Triumphant music plays as we enter the final cavern, only to see... a whole tribe of giants, accompanied by their pet dinosaurs! Indy is handing the staff to one of them, who gratefully receives the lost weapon. Happy giant children offer up crates of silver jewelry and dinosaur eggs in reward. One last giant strikes the cavern wall with his own staff, and mystical energy swirls, causing a door to open and release you back into the loading area, safe at last. Over the jeep radio, Indy says, "The folks back home will NEVER believe this one!"
Then you exit into the gift shop, where you can buy plushies of the "baby dinosaurs" you received from the giants.
Tumblr media
No stealing the merch!
So... what do YOU think is going to be the plot of the new Indiana Jones adventure? I want to see who can come the closest to what we actually get!
