Here’s a lil AU drabble just for you anon!

One month of messaging this guy and Eren was already flying out of state to meet him.

Of course Armin and Mikasa were convinced this guy was some suave murderer but honestly Eren had such horrible luck with relationships he didn’t care if this guy WAS a murderer.

At least he seemed charismatic.

Being 25 and only having one “relationship” under your belt was kinda pathetic. If you can count the time in 9th grade when a girl kissed Eren and he yelled, “Oof no!”

Yea that ended pretty much exactly when it started but it wasn’t his fault he was gay.

But no time to think about that! Levi sent a picture of what he looked like since neither of them had funds to buy video calling apps. Levi said he would meet Eren at the airport gate so hopefully he didn’t photoshop the crap out of his photos.

Otherwise Eren might be stuck with a fat ugly murderer for the weekend. And he wouldn’t be able to recognize him.

“Hi this is your pilot speaking- WE ARE CRASHING EVERYONE STAY CALM- just kidding we will be fully landed in a couple short minutes. Thank you for flying with Air Maria!”

Eren’s stomach did a flip. He was nervous as it was he did not need that.

This was it. The plane was landing.

Walking towards the gate Eren frantically looked around the crowd searching for a short black haired man.

He stood by the gates entrance and called Levi.

the line buzzed.

“Levi? Hey where are-“

“Boo.” Levi tapped Eren’s shoulder from behind and closed his crappy flip phone.

They stared at each other and the world felt like it was falling apart. Eren’s heart was hammer against cloth and for the first time in years Levi started to tear up.

Everything fell away. And all at once memories flooded them both.

“C-captain?” Eren

“It’s me brat.”

Definitely not a murderer.

Levi is a morning person, and Eren is a night owl, so their schedules often classed at the start of their relationship, leaving to a handful of snappy heat-of-the-moment arguments. Now, Eren forces himself out of bed at a reasonable time in the morning, and Levi is always sure to be extra cuddly to reward him, whereas in the evening Eren tries extra hard to be super quiet if he goes to bed after Levi, and Levi bites his tongue if Eren wakes him by accident.

Here’s a riren headcanon, Levi is so smart. Nothing gets by him, yet, Eren was able to deceive everyone when he went to Marley, not letting anyone find out about Zeke and Yelena’s plans. So how did it get past Levi? I really think it’s cause Levi trusted Eren so much at this point. He was protective over him. The beast Titan had taking his best friend and now that’s his comrade’s (lover ;’) ) brother. But he trusts Eren. They probably had tea while doing paper work or had lunch together after building the rail roads. Because Eren was able to go through with those plans and Levi had no clue.

Drunk, he spills beer on himself, and stains his shirt. Who else is there to save the day, but Levi, who, despite having spare shirts in his car, was not there to save drunk uni kids, and instead just wanted to pick up his niece, Mikasa from a stupid party and go home.

Chaos ensues when Eren returns the shirt to the mystery guy using an address on an iron on sticker? What kind of guy uses an iron on sticker nowadays? A guy Eren was 100% not ready to fall in love with was who.

Eren would get incredibly bad morning sickness in their first trimester, and end up pretty miserable and down because of it. Levi spends his whole time at Eren’s side, rubbing their back, and making sure their hair didn’t get into their face. He would then only show his desperate need to clean it all up spotless once Eren had tired themselves out enough to fall asleep again. 

Levi becomes extremely protective of Eren during the whole pregnancy. In public, he’s more of a stoic and quiet protective person, just hovering beside Eren, always keeping one hand on them. In private, he’s a lot more obvious, and spends his time looking up home remedies for morning sickness, the healthiest alternative to caffeine (which Eren craves) etc. 

Even when they’re past their due date, Eren stubbornly refuses to rest or put their feet up. They like everyone to act like they’re not pregnant and can totally do everything like normal (like carry heavy boxes or helping someone cook). It usually ends up with Levi guiding them away and Eren pouting a little bit until Levi comforted them later. 

Eren would make Levi talk to the baby bump throughout the pregnancy, which Levi is embarrassed to do at first, but with Eren’s unceasing demands, he finally gives in and ends up just talking about the most boring of the things to the bump. It helps in two ways: first, because Levi is slightly less embarrassed to talk stocks to Eren’s stomach, and secondly because it usually bores Eren so much that Eren falls asleep... and once Eren falls asleep? Then Levi is sure to tell the bump all sorts: about things he wants to show the baby, or how Eren is such a good parent.
