do you guys know that girl that was catfished by someone who pretended to be dacre montgomery? dude, in a interview she said that "dacre" told her the day before the season came out that if she didn't intend to watch the 4th season of ST, then she should just watch episode 4... home girl acted like this was his way of showing her that it's truly him bc "who else could know this?" (she said something along these lines).

Look at this: A WHOLE MONTH BEFORE THE SEASON CAME OUT, THE EPISODE NAMES HAD BEEN ANNOUNCED

Welcome to the first, and hopefully only “Rita Rants” on this blog because I don’t like bringing any sort of negativity here, but I just need to say this:

I fucking hate that cringe culture even fucking existed in the first place, because despite feeling like everyone’s preaching about how “cringe culture is dead” I’m still feeling the minor effects of it.

I’m serious. Whenever I interact with a post, typically self shipping, there is this little sliver of a voice in my head that says “ew that’s fucking cringe, don’t write that!”

Now because how tiny that voice is, it’s easy for me to shut it up, but their are other people out there that can’t shut that voice up because it’s too loud and they don’t know how to shut it up yet.

And I find that upsetting.

So yeah, a big fuck you to people that made cringe culture mainstream I guess (unless you’ve grown as a person and/or no longer care anymore).

And also to everyone that is still battling with that little voice in their heads that’s keeping them from having fun because “it’s cringe”, lots of love to all of you. I hope you can silence that voice one day ❤️

Swear to god I’m going to have to be the one to make content about Marauders Era Peter mf Pettigrew since no one writes about him except as a flat, unexplored antagonist. Like???

Give me a fundamental need to seek out and follow power like Draco or Lucius

The sense of isolation and otherness like Regulus

The spy arc and all the stress and risk and strategy it takes like Severus

The softness being demonized leading to character development like Neville

The betrayal of their “side” in the war like Regulus

The effects of long term animagus transformation like Rita or Sirius

The crippling feeling of inadequacy like Ron or Remus

The desire for meaning and power and direction like Tom

Maybe the disillusionment from Dumbledore was his reason for seeking out Tom? Like we’ve explored through Harry?

Maybe it was tortured out of him? Maybe he was a hat stall and when he felt left out he made new friends who shifted his loyalties?

If we can have fantastic takes on Tom and his corruption and Harry and his possible morality crisis what better character to explore than the REASON the prophecy was able to make that big first step? Bc sure Severus delivered the info but there were failsafes in place that only Peter could work around to move the plan forward. Was that intentional? Did he already defect when that choice was made?

There was a complete overhaul in his priorities and psyche and perception of the sides in the war that no one really explores and that’s so unfortunate?? Bc there’s so much that happened quietly and we don’t know what he saw or heard or experienced to change so much but the POSSIBILITIES.

More doodles of dragon Phil Connors!

Here are some ideas I had about the design:

I made him a Nightwing because A: It’s in contrast to Rita, who’s an Icewing, and B: Nightwings aren’t very adapted to the cold (what with living on a volcanic island for who knows how long), so it would make sense that he’s particularly grumpy about the cold! I also think the bat-like features of Nightwings match his appearance well.

This design is based off of movie Phil Connors (played by Bill Murray, ofc), his whole color palette is picked from pictures of human Phil!

As the time loop progresses, silver teardrop scales slowly appear by his eyes to signify how the time loop allows him to read peoples minds and tell the future in a way! Once the loop breaks they disappear, to show that he has to learn to navigate life again without being able to predict everything.

The last drawing is a sneak peek of my Rita design, which I’m gonna work on tommorow. Like I said she’s an Icewing, so she’s much less bothered by the winter than Phil.

Phil’s dragon name is Weatherwatcher! It follows the traditional Nightwing naming scheme and ties into his job as a meteorologist :)

got blasphemous because religious guilt in art is like catnip to me, but the atmosphere stresses me out so much i actually picked hollow knight back up (a game that also used to stress me out a lot) in order to scratch that itch and, at long last, managed to defeat hornet a second time

So… I need to rant a bit bc this is sort of making me lose my mind.

I was playing valorant like 2 hours ago and had a duo in my game with the names “husband” and “wife”. They were not really talking to me, and since I was playing spike rush (quickest version of valorant) I didn’t interact much with them or cared about their conversations with the others.

When I get on another match, they’re there and they recognized my nametag so they started talking to me. This time I was typing and answering them and it was mostly the guy doing all the talk.

They were both funny and I was feeling very comfortable with them (which is very rare for me). When asking me to turn on my mic, the guy made a joke like “watch them (me) have like a godly voice”. And I laughed but didn’t even though I wanted to talk with them bc they were so fun.

Mid game, I was dying a lot and the guy killed the person who killed me, so he started joking around saying “I AVENGED YOU!!!” Which made me laugh and I typed “thank youuuu”. The girl (wife) did say something to the guy, but I didn’t really hear what they said bc of the volume of the game, so I just assumed they were joking about something else and didn’t care.

Next round comes around, right after this interaction, and the girl (wife) had gone kinda silent. And she came over to me in game and asked “are you girl?” And I turned on my mic and said “yes”.

The both of them didn’t talk to me or interact with me at all for the entire rest of the game, and I’m starting to think it was bc I was a girl the whole time, and maybe she felt uncomfortable with that.

AND NOW I AM OVERTHINKING THAT I MIGHT HAVE RUINED SOMETHING BETWEEN THEIR GAMING NIGHT. AND MAYBE I SHOULD’VE KEPT QUIEEEET.
