I'm actually an idiot and posted the draft last night instead of the ask. Why did no on ask for context.

Anyway I only did 8 but some are more than one line. I also kept it to s1.

"Slut shaming. It's what they call it when sluts get shamed." - Alice Cooper (iconic and beyond reproach)

"Alice Cooper - no longer lactose intolerant I see." - Hermione Lodge (been haunted by this line for six and a half years what the FUCK does this line mean)

"There's the sticky, dark, dirty truth. Maple syrup. Drown in it why don't you!" - Penelope Blossom (she's literally SO dramatic in this scene especially considering what we find out scenes later happened)

"Yeah they were - of hell." - FP Jones (this whole scene is also great but you KNOW this bitch thought he was so clever coming up with this little quip)

19. Who is your favorite parentdale character? Why?

i answered 19 before here but i would say my ranking of riverparents might have alice on top actually. alice is crazy alice is constant alice is a mom with a sexy past on the wrong side of the tracks one week and mrs reagan the next alice loves her children the most and alice is an abusive mom alice married a serial killer and told him off for sucking at the serial killing alice is too afraid to break out of the nuclear family and she always had bastard children and infiltrated cults and lied on tv. she committed to the bit all 7 seasons and never missed a crazy plotline elevating her to the category of being forever. and her emotional arcs with betty are always great and resonant on top of that

so i would say hiram/alice/gladys are my top 3 riverparents actually because they're the most crazy (penelope is obviously crazier than them but cheryl is my favorite rvd character with the saddest brown eyes on tv history so i cant stan her evil mom fully even though she so obviously deserves it sorry penelope)

11. Who do you think is the most underrated character?

man i have GOT to say Veronica and Josie like another of the mutuals did. they are just my everything and they DON’T get their dues. I’m so interested in them as characters, I don’t believe they’re really explored enough honestly (not to say I find Betty boring sometimes but…). And I’m also especially interested in their relationships with Archie, they’re some of my absolute favorites in the show, and I think each of them reflects and relates with some of my favorite aspects of his character in really really great and fascinating ways. I think I’ve kind of gotten myself completely isolated from whatever Archie hate there is out there, but I certainly believe it exists, and if I saw more of it I would definitely say Archie as well. Big fan of Fangs too tbh, not much to him but he’s a joy to have on screen.

ALSO, answering this seperately for the riverPARENTS, because I 🫶🫶 Mayor McCoy (legal first name Mayor, later changed to Attorney) and Hermione Lodge and I do believe they are severely underrated.

6. Which musical episode is your favorite?

God I love all of them, but it’s got to be Wicked Little Town, HANDS DOWN my favorite. I am a very strict barchie hater, I really can’t stand them, HOWEVER, I love the drama, and the tragedy that I know what’s coming, what the fallout of this is going to be. Besides that, it’s the first, and kind of the only, musical episode that really encompasses the whole town. You have everybody—at Pop’s, the parents, etc—singing Wicked Little Town which I’m pretty obsessed with that beginning sequence; you have Cheryl singing Sugar Daddy at Pop’s. It really gets them out of the auditorium, making it more fully a musical episode! I also listen to the music from this one all the time so I also just like the music the best, but yeah, even though it’s super cut down in the actual episode, it gave us the core four Origin of Love which I couldn’t live without, which in turn gave us the core four Origin of Love AMV; it gave us Archie gay kiss #2, it gave us almost gay Principal Honey, formerly Jack from Dawson’s Creek, I could go on, it’s one of my favorite episodes of tv, and a highlight of the fourth season which is generally NOT a favorite of mine. OH, and it gave us “there’s a problem that comes when you get caught up on your homework. Your mind wanders… and evil creeps back in.” which is one of my favorite lines ever in the show and my instagram bio.

14. Which AMV is your favorite?

i loved that this was one of the questions, but now that I’m being asked to actually answer it….

ok, I’ll just do a long list; the Bodies amv, the 1984 amv which was the first one i ever saw has suuuuch a special place in my heart, the Archie Modern Girl amv‼️, the beronica Troublemaker/Doppelgänger amv‼️‼️, oobviously the Origin of Love amv, archie cleopatra, time warp, runs in the family, VERONICA ARCHIE AND HIRAM SUPERBOY AND THE INVISBLE GIRL, jarchie cut to the feeling!! jarchie imaginary friend, archie you’re on your own kid and would’ve could’ve should’ve, betty and veronica king. ok ending the list there. we’re blessed with too many good ones is what i’d answer this question with i guess, this isn’t even possibly an exhaustive list, it literally could not possibly be. Also a big fan of my own amvs <3
