Ghost Train
It was no secret that the trains in Gotham were damaged, whether it was from all the explosions that flooded the city on a daily basis or the fact that the rails were broken wasn't completely clear. At that point, what was once a train station was nothing more than an empty place used by some homeless people to sleep.
Or that's what it was supposed to be, because while the station was damaged and underneath the city, it was actually active. It just had another kind of train, a slightly more interesting one.
In Danny's defense, he was extremely bored and there was an abandoned train station he could use to play with. All it took was calling in a favor from Technus and a fully functional ghost train connected the Infinite Realms to Gotham.
The ghosts, of course, used this for fun. Fighting each other, chasing each other, celebrating, having concerts. It was a way to go to the human world without anyone causing trouble for them, not that anyone was paying attention anyway.
Or at least, no one was supposed to be paying attention, because Waylon was dumbfounded at the sight. He had escaped to the old rails when he had no other choice, his sewers were compromised and he needed a way out. He didn't expect to walk right into a party, or be offered a sandwich with a smile instead of a shout.
He could also observe a clearly glowing train and the fact that everyone there was glowing. They could be metas, or another completely new creature, but Waylon didn't care, they gave him food and he wasn't a snitch.

its a unique kind of pain when you get really into something with a small fanbase and not much recent fanart, and you find a really cool piece from a really good artist and you just love how they interpret and draw the characters and you're obsessed with it and you can't wait to see what else they have in store, but then you go to their blog and you realize that the drawing was just a one-off 'i watched this show (etc.) recently and thought it was kinda cool" and they're very unlikely to make anything else for it again

ive been doing random queerbait research and u know i had known tyler hoechlin looked familiar from somewhere but it was very funny to see him suddenly pop up in like supergirl queerbait compilations just standing there u can imagine him thinking wow thank god its not me this time leaves queerbait show for other infamous queerbait show but its actually a den of safety and they even give him a super straight spin off show to show them how grateful they are for his services

against his better judgement, tristan decides to let the girl stay at his place. he can't just leave her on the side of the road? and trust me.. this man tried to convince her to let him take her to a hotel or something, but that girl is adamant, scary, and... a complete somewhat of an oversharer. so that's how he ended up here: drunk girl asleep on his couch. tristan can only hope this doesn't blow back up in his face.

I love deathly weapons and live for your writing updates. On that note, I do love Wally but I’m very excited to see him get what’s coming to him after messing with Danny.
(writing updates for WIP Chapter 19 of Deathly Weapons)
Awww thank you! 💜
I actually really really like Wally as well. He's a super expressive and responsive character, and it makes him very fun to write. I find the way he talks, thinks and engages with his environment and other characters to be inherently entertaining and charming. He's definitely produced some of my favourite bits of incidental prose/dialogue comedy in the story so far.
He's been coming off as a bit antagonistic and mean for the last few chapters but I promise it's not meant to bash him or make him look bad. He's just a flawed character - I like the complexity it gives him - and this is a situation where he's going to have to face some of those flaws. Speaking of which...
I am so excited to finally be on this chapter, you have no idea. I've been planning this one for ages - the bones of some of these scenes and conversations were plotted out while walking between classes back in the final year of my degree (i.e. yonks ago). I think I've come up with a pretty unique or at least, not very common way of solving this particular character problem and I am so keen to share and talk about it with everyone!
