Healey by Caton, 2022 (1953). A restomod based on the BN1 Austin Healey 100 that has been rebuilt and re-engineered using the car’s original 2,954cc 4-cylinder engine upgraded with a a steel crankshaft, upgraded bearing shells, high compression pistons, a race camshaft and H8 carburettors, mated to a modern 5-speed manual gearbox. The front suspension has been upgraded to double-wishbone and adjustable coil spring units. Production will be limited to 25 cars which will be built to individual customers’ specifications. The cars will cost around £500,00 depending on final specs
Moving into the Saratoga Auto Museum now from the supercar show being hosted outside. For the summer season, a top-shelf collection of air-cooled Porsches out of architect Steven Harris’s collection were on display. Part 2 of that exhibit is currently there, with every generation of the 911 RS on the museum floor. Here’s a 356B roadster to start things off, and it only gets better from here.
