So I started watching Winning Time despite the fact that it is about Sportsball, and it turns out that this was a great decision because, secretly, while Sportsball is what happens, what the show is about is actually a whole bunch of Weird Men, and a smaller but excellent group of Competent Women. And I do love shows about Weird Men and Competent Women.
...Also it's an interestingly-shot and -scripted take on media, celebrity, race, and gender in the late 20th-century US, so: definitely more than I was expecting from a sportsball show.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves Review
Fans of Westerns and American History will love this mini-series
The Legend of Bass Reeves is the story of a Black man forced to fight for the confederacy, who escapes his cruel owner (FYI all slave owners were cruel), is a crack shot, and has a strong will to survive.
Bass Reeves (David Oyelowo) is a natural marksman and the series takes us on the journey as he becomes the first U.S. Marshal…

DON’T LOOK UP 2021
We have exactly six months, ten days, two hours, 11 minutes and 41 seconds, until a comet twice the size of Chicxulub tears through our atmosphere and extincts all life on Earth.

Smile (2022)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Smile has two brief moments of extreme strobe lights. The first is when the title of the movie is shown (after zooming in on an eyeball), and the second involves police cars at night, after a home alarm has been set off, the strobes lasting about 2-3 minutes. The rest of the film is safe and free of strobe effects.
All of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth. There are a few establishing shots flying over cities or landscapes that are filmed upside-down, which may be disorienting.
Flashing Lights: 8/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: The central crisis of the film involves several deaths by suicide. A few are shown on-screen, both in real time and in video evidence. A character has additional visions of blood and gore. One scare involves a dead animal.
