Are there any fics where Robb successfully takes Kings Landing and survives? It can have any pairings, I'm not picky with that scenario. Also, him getting there in time to get to Ned would be a nice bonus, but it's not necessary. Vengeful Robb going bonkers on the Lannisters after Ned's death would be nice too. Extra points if Jon and/or Theon are there too.

Robb/Jeyne and Robb/Theon for the ask game!
Thank you for the ask @raffaella-cerullo! We're going to start with Robb/Theon (for reasons that will become clear when you get to Robb/Jeyne).
Tumblr media
Theon's therapist absolutely told him to stop fucking Robb, but will he listen? No, he won't. He'll just stop talking about Robb in their sessions.
Okay...so they won't literally die in each other's arms, but they are figuratively dying in each other's arms. Over and over again. You can't tell me that as Theon died he didn't see Robb holding him and apologized for betraying him. And after everything, I believe Robb forgave him.
The kissing one is self-explanatory...actually, I think kissing might just make things worse between them, but I'm here for it.
I wish only the sweetest, fluffiest domestic AU for the two of them.
You are testing me with Robb/Jeyne :) I just wanted to let you know that I did not make it past Arya's last chapter in ACOW, because I got kinda bored. So Robb/Jeyne is going on vibes only.

a Jeyne of your choice with a baby?
Thank you for the prompt!
I feel like I should probably apologise to you for this one…
Jeyne curled around her baby.
The soft red curls on his head, the blue of his eyes, the blood in his veins, all of it made her son a target.
Edwyn would never know his father, nor his grandparents, nor even his aunts and uncles. He might not even know his mother, if the Lannisters had their way.
“Mama loves you so, so much.” Jeyne whispered, pressing a kiss to the down on his head, “Mama loves you more than the moon and the stars and the sun.”
She let herself place another kiss to his head, savouring the memory of him. It was a memory she would surely need in the dark of her cell.
Edwyn smiled at her, his gums poking through the curve of his perfect little lips. He waved one chubby fist in the air, and as Jeyne caught it she couldn’t he’ll but marvel over every single one of his tiny, perfect fingernails.
Her baby was perfect and she wished she could see him grow.
Carefully she dressed him in a gown made from one of Robb’s shirts. Carefully she swaddled him in a blanket made from her marriage cloak. She tucked her jewels into the swaddle, hiding them in the folds of the cloth.
It was all she could give him. All she had that would prove who he was.
A plain blanket and swaddling bands went over the top. He had to stay warm, had to stay safe, and blending in was his best chance for that.
“Mama loves you.” She said once more, pressing a single drop of sweetsleep onto his gums. A single drop should not hurt him, and it would be safer than him awaking and making a noise the Lannisters could track.
His eyes blinked shut, and Jeyne mourned for the loss of their sweet blue. She cradled him close to her chest and stole from her rooms. Better her family did not know what she was about to do. Better no one but she knew of her plan.
The castle was dark, but Jeyne knew it almost as well as her childhood home. Months under siege would do that.
The river was her destination, the small patch of bank only accessible through a door hidden by the reeds. It would be visible to the shore on any other night but for the lack of moon in the sky.
“You are sure of this?” Ser Brynden asked as he stood from his crouched position among the reeds, his voice low and kind.
“I am.” Jeyne straightened her shoulders and passed her precious son to his great uncle.
Set Brynden took Edwyn as though he was the most fragile glass, and tucked him securely into an oilskin sling against his front. So too did he take the bag that Jeyne passed him, packed with some of what he might need to keep her son safe and well.
She should have been sending him off with a grand entourage. Should have been keeping him with her in the keep.
But Lord Edmure had been spotted within the Lannister camp and they all knew it was only a matter of time before he was used to make the castle surrender.
A single swimmer would have the best chance at evading the Lannisters, and Ser Brynden had the best chance of being believed as he championed her son’s identity.
“Keep him safe, my lord. Restore him to his home.”
Ser Brynden looked down at her, his face solemn. “I swear, my queen. King Edwyn will see Winterfell, will sit upon the throne of the North as his father did before him.”
Jeyne stepped back, the tears in her eyes finally trailing down her cheeks. “I know you will. Now go! We will buy you whatever time we can. Go! Before the Lannisters wake. Go!”
Ser Brynden smiled, he tucked Edwyn closer to his chest within his oilskin sling, and he slipped into the dark of the water.
And Jeyne waited on the bank until the last of the ripples had died away and her son was truly gone.

My opinion on some asoiaf ships
Jal ->
* They aren't gonna be endgame. Val is kinda a blank slate, even Harry Hardyng has more personality and he only appeared in a sample chapter + Jon dreams of an idyllic life with Val, but based on his own tastes, in his own image of what Val should be, and this imagined future is shattered the moment Val declares that Shireen, an innocent child, should be killed. Jon is rightfully disgusted "this was a Val that Jon had never seen before", this Val is the real one, not the one he had imagined, and Jon isn't attracted to the real Val
Stardyng ->
* I kinda ship them. Listen Harry isn't perfect, far from it, but he isn't significantly older than Sansa, he didn't abuse her, he didn't sexualised her (guys she's 13), he geniunely admires her qualities (her intelligence and humor), he apologized for his classism (and he hates LF so it's no wonder he didn't want to marry LF's "bastard daughter")
Starkpoole ->
* They're perfect, okay ? They need to heal and get justice and then to be happy together in Winterfell thank you very much
Ned x Ashara ->
* I'm of the opinion Ashara was Ned's teenage love. Cat was the love of his life, but in my headcanon he geniunely cared about Ashara and he repressed his memories of her. Just like his eldest daughter, Ned repressed a lot of his trauma because it hurts him too much. He only thinks of Lyanna when he's triggered by traumatic events like Sansa pleading for Lady or when he's injured and anesthetized by the milk of the poppy and he barely thinks of his own father and brother so it wouldn't be surprising
Jaime x Addam ->
* Why not ? Childhood friends and sparring mates. He's the only speaker Jaime trusts with his secret
Arianne x Daemon ->
* I don't mind them they seem happy together (though it's complicated since Arianne is the crown princess of Dorne and Daemon's a bastard)
Sansa x Dickon ->
* We know next to nothing about Dickon but why not perhaps it could work in an au
Robb x Jeyne ->
* Perhaps Robb is Sleeping Beauty. He's the one with the evil step-mom who wants to kill him and his family. Old Fairy Walder Frey is offended by the Stark-Tully family and curses 16 YO Robb. Seventh Fairy Edmure tries to save the day but it doesn't work. Anyway. Robb was young, he made a ton of mistakes, especially towards his own family, but he didn't want any of this, he didn't want to be king, he wasn't ready, he wanted to save Jeyne's honor, he wanted to do the right thing (unlike the show version). I want Jeyne to make it at the end but I'm pessimistic. They deserved better. I kinda ship them

Robb Stark/Jeyne Westerling
They do the best they can in the circumstances with her dress and maiden's cloak – some lace and silk ribbon sewn onto one of her white muslin dresses to spruce it up, their house sigil cut from a ruined cloak and stitched onto one of hers. Jeyne tries to not think of where they'd found an old, ruined cloak with a sigil in such haste, under what circumstances it had become ruined. (She tries to pretend she hadn't heard her mother discuss with the washerwomen how hard it is to get blood out of cloth, how they'd need to go through several, likely, before they found one that works.)
It's not what she had imagined her wedding would be like, if she'd imagined it at all. She can still hear her sister screaming, whore, traitor, as she walks down the aisle on her brother’s arm. She knows that behind her mother’s forced smile there is a pained acceptance and her uncle won’t meet her eyes. No one will meet her eyes.
She could have said no, she supposes. I’ll kill him, Raynald had sworn before she explained, hot tears running down her face: he didn’t force me. I love him.
Robb takes her hand before the septon at the altar, somber and flushed, his eyes tender. Maybe she’s a fool; maybe she should have lied. But it had been beyond her will, just as loving him was and always would be.
[send me a ship + prompt and I'll write a 3 sentence fic]

guilt (it feeds on itself)
“Jeyne? Are you here?”  A timid voice cuts the silence of the Crag’s Sept.
“It is rude to interrupt someone when they are speaking to their gods, Elenya,” Jeyne replied, but there is little reproach in her tone.
Everything seemed pointless to her nowadays, anyway.
Her younger sister comes into view of the altar.  Like Jeyne,  Elenya is dressed in the colors of their House,  although the dress-maker has adapted it to befit her being a little girl still.  Both their gowns are heavily layered,  as the cold days were coming.
Truthfully,  Jeyne would sooner go naked.  If she cannot wear the white and grey that was her husband’s to let the world know she belonged to him, rebel or not, or even the drabbest blacks to show that she was unafraid to mourn him, then so be it.  She would go about unclothed as if she was nothing more than some shameless whore that waited about the docks of Lannisport – or worse really, for at least a whore would wait until they were alone with their client before stripping themselves of their garments, to get what they want with their body.
What did Jeyne want?  They were all talking about her already, she knew.  The castle folk who’d watched her leave the Crag barely a year before, the soldiers that Ser Jaime Lannister had chosen to escort her family safely back once they were accepted back into the Crown’s peace.   So what did it matter really if she gave them something else to feast on?
Stark’s widow has gone mad, just like his mother did. But instead of clawing her face to bloody ribbons,  she’s refusing to wear any clothes.  Perhaps she thinks she doesn’t need ‘em, she’ll turn into a wolf soon enough, as her husband could in battle, and run away to live in the woods.
“I’m sorry, Jeyney.”  Elenya hung her head. With her dark hair and dark eyes, there is no doubt she is Lady Sybell’s daughter, although her long nose is that of Gawen Westerling, and it is likely she will get her height from him, as their brothers will.
Well, one brother.  Reynald will never have the chance to grow any taller.
Presently,  Jeyne is quite glad she looks nothing like their lady mother,  handsome she might be.
Despite herself,  Jeyne manages a small smile. “You can’t be using names you called me when you were in the nursery. Mother wouldn’t consider it proper.”
Elenya wrinkled her nose.  “I could be calling you queen, instead.” Then she blanched and stiffened as if frightened that Sybell Spicer would emerge from a corner,  to grip her younger daughter by the wrist and snarl at her about speaking treason, not when not so long had they had been spared.
“It is just Lady Jeyne now, sister.”    I should have stayed Lady Jeyne.  “And of those who would hear you calling me such things,  Mother is the least of whom you should worry about.”  Jeyne thinks of Lord Tywin, dead and rotting he might be.
If the Imp had slain his father earlier,  would the Freys still have the courage to go through with their betrayal?   Would that have saved her Robb?
She had no doubt that had Robb not listened to Lady Catelyn and instead yielded to her pleas to take her with them to his uncle’s wedding at the Twins,  a union that was taking place because of her,  the Freys would have killed Jeyne, rather than making her one of their captives.
Whenever they murdered her before attacking Robb and his poor mother or forced her to watch first,  trapped in helpless terror,  the Freys would never permit her to leave.  Not when she could be pregnant with the heir to Winterfell. Which would have been darkly ironic.  The Freys would not have known that she held no threat in that way.   The Freys were as ignorant of Lord Tywin’s instructions to Jeyne’s mother as she was ignorant of what they were ordered to do.   Otherwise,  Mother would have found some excuse to keep Reynald with them.
She was good at that, lying.
Suddenly,  she realizes that Elenya is staring at her.  Jeyne drags herself away from her thoughts.  “Anyway, what are you doing here?”
Elenya smiled tremulously. “I just didn’t want you to be alone, that’s all.”
Before, Jeyne would have hugged her sister for such sweetness.  But now, she just feels very tired. “I don’t mind the solitude.”
Elenya stuck her chin out, the way Rollam did sometimes.  .  “Well,  Mother says it isn’t healthy for you to be alone so much.  And Father agrees.”  She pauses and then brightens.  “He told me that we could visit Lannisport, make a day of it.”
Jeyne scoffs. “I don’t care what our Father thinks, nor that witch.”  Elenya gasps.  As much as her younger sister will sympathize with her and have her little rebellions,  it still shocks her to hear Jeyne refer to their lady mother in such a disrespectful way.   This is because Elenya knows nothing of what Sybell Spicer did, and Jeyne cannot bring herself to tell her.
Just as she did not have the courage to speak the truth on the other matter.
II.
When her sister leaves,  Jeyne looks down at the prayer beads in her hands and wonders if being strangled is as painful as the way her husband died.
This is your doing, a nasty voice inside her whispered. No, her heart cries.  But it is the truth.
Jeyne Westerling was in some ways more innocent than other girls her age, but she was certainly not in the way Robb Stark had thought her to be when she took him to her bed.
It had only happened once before.
Aye, and if Robb Stark had known the truth- would he have been so quick to break his marriage pact to protect your honor?
It is not as though I did not have my reasons.
She did have her reasons, yes.  Good ones.  Her maid reporting her empty bed being overheard,  Jeyne seen outside the chambers graciously given for His Grace’s recuperation,  with guilt written on her face.
She had to accept Robb.  She had to. Because to everyone else, she was supposedly ruined now.  And he was offering her a way out.
He would make her a queen, to save her.
And yet she could not let him leave her either.  Rumors would spread, about how Westerling’s daughter had offered herself to the Young Wolf, as if she had no loyalty to her home, to her liege lord.  It could infect her siblings,  and shame her parents.
Marrying Robb would spare them that.
It just did not spare him.

Criston Cole isn't really been afforded a lot of nuance by the fandom and it's starting to annoy me.
I think a few more small scenes would've done so much, say hearing the ladies of the court gossiping over an illegitimate child or even he himself discussing his background with either Alicent or Rhaenyra, which would've added to his development and his eventual crisis of faith, his Catholic guilt. I think people forget Criston is one of the few main characters who isn't a noble or a direct part of the family. As an illegitimate child in Westeros, all his life he's been told that he is the sinful thing, that he was born of sin and therefore unclean as result. By taking the white cloak and becoming a King's guard, he was able to put that "sin" behind him and become "clean". By sleeping with Rhaenyra he's stained and tainted that, something he can't handle or stand at all. He committed the ultimate sin, he's broken his oath, stained his honor and may have created a child doomed to be unclean too (obviously no such child was conceived or born but there was always the chance one could've been and I think that ate Criston alive inside and will probably be a factor of why he behaves the way he does towards Rhaenyra's sons). It's why he's so eager to run off and marry Rhaenyra so he can (in his mind) set it right. He wants to see himself as clean again. It's why he confesses so quickly to Alicent (also did some of you not watch the episode? Criston knew Rhaenyra snuck out, he had no way of knowing Rhaenyra was even with Daemon, he wasn't in King's landing to hear the gossip regarding Daemon & Rhaenyra that Larys spoke of and he was summoned immediately by Alicent so of course he assumed the rumours Alicent spoke of was referring to him), to seek forgiveness and regain some of that "cleanliness" before dying. Alicent offers him salvation, sanctuary, forgiveness while Rhaenyra shattered the version of herself he had built up in his mind. She betrayed that ideal he had of her and cannot understand why the "sin" they committed haunts him so greatly. For her it was a pleasurable night they spent together, to him it is his damnation, his ultimate sin. It's why he follows Alicent, in his eyes she offers him salvation while Rhaenyra can only offer him ruination.
I could ramble so much more about this, I don't know what it is but Alicent and Criston and the religious themes surrounding them both is absolutely fascinating.
