Robby is a good friend. One of the best of friends Demetri has, But as much he loves the dude, he does not want to look for a missing necklace . No matter how much it cost to Robby’s boyfriend.

Pretty hefty. He seen the receipt.

Since Robby was throwing such a fit. They were all forced to look for it like it was a live or die situation .Demetri didn’t understand , the guy could get away with anything , The tall dude would just forgive him.

And if Robby dearly loved that necklace he should’ve kept it safe ,like who knows, maybe around his neck ,or in a jewelry box.

But here he was, in a Sunday, the sun beaming directly at him trying to melt him into a Demetri-shaped puddle. He could feel his armpits begin to sweat. Thank God for deodorant .

“Let’s split up in groups of twos.” Robby suggests . After taking a break in their search , Robby decided it was better for them to espérate into teams.Them being him, Sam , Miguel, Tory and… Eli.

Demetri was fine as long they don’t pair him up with… him.

Maybe he was running on different time because he blinks and suddenly everyone is paired up leaving him with Eli. What did he just say.

“How about you guys look here. Sam and Miguel look near the entrance and Tory and I will search near the abounded train tracks.”

“Why would it be there ?” Eli ask , the question everyone was thinking.

“T-Thats—I really hope your good at looking for my necklace like your questioning.” Robby sneer and glares at Eli. It wasn’t as scary as it was intented with his tinted cheeks.

His mind didn’t want to picture Robby and Rickenberger [redacted]. Yeah, it was too early for this shit.

The pairs start to leave and Demetri pulls Robby and Sam roughly aside ignoring Sam’s yelp.

“Let’s switch . “ He demands.

“Demetri —“ He cuts Sam off, He had a guess what she would say. It was no time to be persuaded by those baby blues . He opted to glare at both Robby and Sam.

“Don’t Demetri me , Samantha.” Lowering his tone he pleads, ” I would rather have Tory give me a wedgie than be alone with him.” He didn’t want run the risk of the blonde hearing him and take his word for it.

He tried to copy Robby’s puppy look that he witness work in his favor a million times, it was a work in progress, Sam looks almost swayed but Robby interrupts and elbows Sam’. He will not be helping him find shit.

“ Focus. This is important. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have made you go spend time with him. I only have today to find it , Dee would know I lost it. Please Demetri” Robby pleads.

Why couldn’t he be a bad friend and ditch them. Go home and eat a pint of ice cream all to himself while listening to the Wallows blasting his eardrums until it bled .

Scoffing at Robby’s ‘Puppy look’. He sighs deeply and looks up at the sky with his hand on his hips.How did he do that. He has to take notes.

“Fine.” Demetri stops them again.” As soon as one of you find it , you come and rescue me, Got it?”

“Got it!” Sam and Robby say in unison and give him a good luck smile. Acting like they were twins, they were even wearing the same color , did Mr.LaRusso dressed them?. He really wanted to push them down a hill.

He feels it. The awkwardness in the air. Even if everybody tried to ignore it. Maybe that’s why nobody wanted to pair up with the two of them. Because it’s there. Floating in the air.

Who knew how awkward it is to break up with your best friend / boyfriend. He did now.

Demetri doesn’t quite remember for what reason they broke up , what he does know ,is that he is not going to spend his Sunday looking for a dumb expensive necklace with his ex. Well… not all day .

“I can’t believe I’m stuck looking for a stupid necklace .” Eli huffed , kneeled over the grass . Demetri rolled his eyes . Always the complainer.

And people thought it was him.

He is about to get up from his squating position. His thighs were cramping already,He really has to do leg day, But freezes when he hears Eli mumble.

He is not sure what he exactly said. But it sounded in between , Especially with you or this stupid shoe.

“Look for the necklace because I don’t want to look at your stupid face, any longer.” Demetri went with the first one. Not seeing Eli trip on air .

“ Stupid face? Stupid face!” Eli laughed dryly ,” If I recall you were all over this stupid face.” He motions his face with both of his hands.

“Oh please , don’t get yourself confused , I remember you would climbed on to me.” Eli must be dumb to think he was winning because Demetri was ready to prove him wrong.

“Because you were so whiny for my attention!” Eli yells looking way too smug.

“Don’t make me laugh , Eli.” Demetri scoffs , moving from his spot not wanting to be any closer to this jerk any longer.

“Don’t worry I will just tell your terrible unfunny jokes!” Eli snarks, giving him the most fake ass smile .

“You said they were funny!” Demetri screams, a tiny bit hysterical .

“I lied!” Eli laugh mocked him.He was looking to smug for his own good. Demetri had to dig deeper.

“You suck at singing!, makes me wonder if your tone deaf.” Demetri watched Eli narrow his eyes in disbelief.

“ Why should I listen to you, you have bad music taste ? You listen to wallows !” Eli took a large step forward ,jabbing his finger at Demetri chest. Which , Ow , that hurts.

“Don’t you dare say nothing bad about them!” Demetri warned . Say anything about him but not them. He stabbed Eli chest with his bony finger . He gets a satisfaction seeing Eli wince.

“They suck ass , oh wait ? You do too.” That stupid malicious smirk came up making Demetri felt his marbles let loose but he tried to not show it.But Eli continued, “Guess you have something in common”

And well he did warn him to keep his mouth shut. And for a fleeting moment he felt bad for Mr.LaRusso perfectly cut grass, but it disappears when the chunk of grass and dirt is thrown at Eli.

Eli spits out the dirt that managed to get inside his mouth . Eyes shot wide like he couldn’t believe that Demetri did that, and when the shock warned off he reaches down for a nearby plant ,that Demetri dodges but is not lucky with the second time.

A voice in his head that sounded like Mr.L yelled at him stop .

So he did. Demetri opted to tackle the guy to the ground. Poor plants didn’t deserve it, at least the remaining ones . He will crane kick his ass if he needs too.

Eli is quick to roll him over trying to pin his arms down but Demetri pushes him to his left and plants his knees firmly . Somehow Eli swings his legs over, caging him in and flips him in his back.

When Demetri looks to his side , he sees his arm beside his head. He watches their chest heave as they ran out breath from rolling around the grass . One second their glaring and seconds away from throwing punches to laughing their ass off randomly.

Eli drops down next to him , still laughing but reaches for his hand . Just like that ,the anger he had was gone, he turn and was surprised that Eli was looking at him already.

“I’m sorry about saying shit about the Wallows , they don’t suck ass.”

“I lied about your singing , you sing beautiful .”

“No I don’t.” Eli shook his ahead in amusement.

“No you don’t. “ Demetri laughs “I’m sorry for throwing chunk of grass.”

“It was nostalgic , haven’t had grass and dirt in years.” Eli acted like he felt melancholy and broke into a smile when he swatted his arm.

“Why did we break up?”Eli asked seriously.

“Because we are stupid . I don’t even remember why !” Demetri sighs , he squeezes Eli’s hand .

“Take me back. I miss you.” Eli confesses making Demetri the happiest guy today.

“I missed you too , I missed you sending me a thousands of Tik Tok videos every day .”

That’s all Eli needed to jump on Demetri and kiss him . The kiss tasted like dirt but Demetri will ignore that for now since they couldn’t exactly brush their teeth or whip out a gum in the middle of kissing.

“Bet you missed kissing this stupid face .” Eli grins , lips shiny and pink driving Demetri nuts . He rolled them over , wincing a tiny rock dug into his knee, he regrets wearing shorts.

“If you don’t shut up and kiss me , we will break up again .” Demetri blank face breaks when Eli twist his nipple in retaliation . He pinches Eli back making him laugh.

“We can’t have that now , can we ?” Eli tugs him down and plants a big ole kiss and Demetri is just swell . Makeup make outs are the best . Mind slushy like a cloud , head empty , and hands on Eli.

For a second he pulls his hand away from Eli’s face to pull the pebble digging in his skin and goes back to sticking his tongue down his boyfriend throat.

“Dude!” Tory yells and covers Sam’s eyes and uses Miguel body to shield them from seeing skin or whatever was going on. Miguel scrunched his face , but not that scandalized he seen them naked before.

“What the hell guys?”Robby surprisingly screams louder than Tory , he looks around the place probably avoiding to see them until they throw back on their clothes. Even if it was just the shirts that were discarded.

“Sorry to scar you eyes ” Eli bit his lip to stop himself from cracking up. He tried to get a high five from Miguel but Miguels pulls away at the last second not knowing where and what that hand touch. Eli shoves his hand into his pockets.

“I’m talking about the dojo. You guys are fixing this !” Robby mouth tugged down into an angry frown and brows furrowed . Tory whistled seeing how they tore the place up. Sam was looking equally piss matching Robby expression and crossed arms . He butts in Robby hysterical rant before Sam has the chance to explode .

“Ok, Ok . You found it?” Demetri dust off any dirt or grass of his shirt with his hand.

“Found what?”Robby looks at him funny , ‘giving him a what the hell are you talking about’ his arms falling to his sides .

“The necklace?” Demetri is now confused. The whole reason they were here.

“What neckla— Oh! , No we haven’t.” Like a light blub appears above Robby .Which was funny, minutes ago he was dying of nerves and now he couldn’t remember .

The sun lets its presence known by hitting Robby’s green lying eyes, making the boy shift nervously .The sudden movements make Demetri catch something shiny .

“You little deceiving liar!” Demetri can’t believe it , he was tricked. If it was anyone else he would laugh but Robby played him.

“Excuse me.” Robby shifted his weight one foot to the other.

Robby has the audacity to act innocent.

“You have the necklace. You never lost it.” He points an accusatory finger in his direction. Demetri runs up and pulls the necklace , gently he was not wasting his allowance buying him a new one, Robby just smiled sheepishly trying to look cute but it won’t work on him.

“Made us waste our day, looking for something that wasn’t lost with the sun trying to kill us. And for what.!” Demetri yells frustrated , He didn’t even bother asking the rest if they knew all along too.

“To be fair , the plan work.” Robby shrugged calmly with a smile on his face, as if that was justifiable .

“What plan?” Eli squawks , wiping away the dirt and sweat off his face, feeling a bit annoyed now. Sure he got Demetri back but he didn’t understand Robby’s big scheme.

“To get you guys together.” Robby points at them . He shares a look with Miguel, Tory and Sam and then starts explaining, “We couldn’t deal with you talking our ear off about Eli being the dumb beautiful idiot .And Tory and Miguel was tired of seeing Eli act all miserable , weepy and crying himself to sleep.”

“I didn’t cry myself to sleep.” Eli is quick to correct Robby.

“Ehh”Miguel betrayed Eli , but it was the truth. “ I hate seeing you sad , so we made this plan , we all sacrificed our day and cancelled our plans to get your silly asses back together. It was a great plan if I say so.” Miguel proudly said .

Eli pulled Miguel into a hug. And then the rest, which left them confused but touched that Eli was showing his grattitude.

Demetri is not caving in that easily . Robby put his palms together and apologized .

“It’s going to take more than that, Keene.”

“Okay.” Robby added a pout and the sad puppy eyes. Demetri was not falling for this one . Robby stopped for a second to wave his hand to get the others attention. They stood in formation and started to give him their own version of ‘puppy eyes ‘ , Demetri really needed new set of friends.

“Fine, Fine . Just stop doing that it’s creeping me out !”

“Group hug.” Sam shouts.

Demetri got squashed in next to Eli and Miguel, Almost kissed Robby and his foot got stepped on by Tory and knocked his chin with Sam with the sudden force . They really shouldn’t have rushed in.

Somebody phone chimes . It’s Robby , Because he is peeling away from the hug and announces he has to leave since his boyfriend is taking him to the ‘Theater‘.

“Wait .”Miguel stops Robby from taking one more step , looking confuse “I thought we all cancelled our plans for today.”

“Yeah , but when we went to Sam’s car , I texted Dee to come pick me up when you were betting how long it would to get their shit together . “ Robby unashamedly explained , The others collectively made noises of ‘ooh’s’ and ‘ahhh’ .

“Are you really ditching us , why don’t you invite us ?”Tory shuffled forward .

“Tickets are sold out.” Robby smiles apologetically at her.

“Unless you’re not going to the movies.”Miguel ask suspiciously getting on Robby nerves .

“I am going to the movies.” Robby’s jaw ticks . anyone could see that Robby didn’t want his friends to accompany him but they would also see Robby was lying . And well he made them all cancel his plans in good cause .

Robby calls it victory when they supposedly let him leave , the second he turned his back on them the menace of Eli yells out .

“Then we all are going. Cmon guys !”

No , guys , there’s no more , it’s a date for two not for 7 , we can hang out another—“ Robby gives up , he pursued his lip , hands on his hips watching them run outside . He sighs in defeat.

“Thanks for all this. I really appreciated .” Demetri pats his shoulder .

“No problem.” Robby says irritated, Demetri looks away to hide his smug smile. “ Shouldn’t you be celebrating right now like you were a couple of minutes ago with Eli.” Robby tries one last attempt to get rid of them but it’s no use .

“Another time . We got a movie to watch.” Demetri cackles seeing Robby looking pissed that his plans were being ruined .

“Demetri !”

“Robby looks pretty pissed that we are crashing his date.” Eli snickers , rasing his chin towards Robby. Demetri shoves a couple of popcorn into his mouth and he watches Robby pout angrily with his arms crossed.

“Hawk, lend me a few bucks I’m a bit short.” Miguel screams from the popcorn stand making Tory wince . Sam smiled apologetically towards the random strangers who turned by the yelling.

“Dem hold my cup .”

Demetri gave him a ‘really?‘ look , his hands were full from the large bucket , red vines and his own cup. Which reminded him how much of a brat Eli is , not one ounce of a gentleman .

“Robby, Hold my cup.” Eli shoves it in Robby’s hand who left right eye was twitching . Eli blows out a whistle taking a peep in his wallet, shamelessly turns to Robby’s boyfriend to borrow money to let Miguel borrow .

Robby looks seconds away from disowning them when Rickenberger lends him a 20 . That guy was clearly trying to win some points with them because he is clearly knows he is not getting that back.

Miguel won’t pay Eli , And Eli won’t ask for the money since he also owes Miguel.

Hawk sprints to Miguel and back to him , Miguel shouts ‘thank you’ and Eli ‘No problem man’ ,they might get kicked out.

Robby tugs his boyfriend and tells the woman ,giving them a disapproving look , that he didn’t know them. She might’ve been more bothered by the hand on Robbys ass and Eli constantly telling random people that he got back with his hot babe.

Another time , Demetri would’ve tried to help and make those two idiots to shut up and be in constant worry of being kicked out and all. But he just got his boyfriend back, no more single Demetri , so when Eli screeches when he finds out Robby threw his cup away, Demetri just lets it happen . He is happy goddammit . Nothing can ruin this day , he is about to watch a movie that he will not pay attention to since he will be making out with his boyfriend . And eating all these snacks

They’re real close to getting banned—Wait—. Never mind , they’re banned . There goes his plans .

“Heads up , Miss little princess didn’t get the spot.”

Tory is quick to look up, she was probably really close to getting a whiplash. Getting up to her feet, her hand dusting off any dust or grass stains from where she was sitting.

She watched Rickenberger rummaged through his duffel bag, She waited for the guy to continue but she was met with silence. Getting closer, she hits his shoulder.

“Who did ?”Tory ask, she really hoped it wasn’t that bad.

“My pretty boy . Or should I say ,My pretty Captain.” Rickenberger states proudly with a grin.The guy was happy for his boyfriend and well ,Tory was expecting to be in his position ,for Sam.

She knew her girlfriend worked hard to show the team she was the perfect candidate for the position. Sam excitingly talked all weekend about them being both captains of their own sport.

Tory knew her girl was probably upset.

“Shit , I have to go find her .” Tory huffs, not really knowing what to do. She say goodbye and starts to head out .Her first thought was to look for a certain 5’7 cheerleader. Or should she say a 5’7 Cheer Captain.

Tory doesn’t have to search for long since she sees him walking out of the lockers in his gym clothes and with his flask of water. Their eyes meet and she can tell from the distance that he is quite happy. Smiling from ear to ear. She feels bad for Sam but knowing her best friend got the place made her proud.

“I heard about your promotion “Tory says, she smiles genuinely. If anyone deserves the title besides Sam , is Robby . Tory remembers when Robby announce he was joining the squad, only for the shit and giggles. But at the end he end up loving it.

“Won it , fair and square and a little side of bribery that I call my good lucks.”Robby cheekily says .

“You gotten your ego to reach up till the sky.” Tory teases the boy, who snorts . She didn’t really get the whole thing of being a cheerleader , especially Robby, but she knew the boy liked giving gray hairs to his dad and going against the stereotype that was expected him to be. The guy could switch to looking like a preppy to being a bad boy with the whole leather and boots. And bending the rules a bit like wearing the uniform he isn’t supposed to wear.

“Guess you can quit wearing skirts.” Tory laughs at Robby who pulls a face at her . Like the question offended him.

“Uh no. I commit to the aesthetic and besides I enjoy the fresh breeze . And my baby’s attention.”Robby quips , wiggling his eyebrow suggestively making Tory want to barf. Fussing his perfect hair making swat her hands away with a chuckle.

“Gross.” Tory scrunches her face , she ask for the person she has been waiting to come out. But all the girls have walked out and has gone to their practice spot , except Sam.“Do you know where’s Sam .”

“ In there. Can you make sure she’s alright. I know she really wanted to be the captain. I feel bad. ” Robby expresión changes ,”Maybe I shouldn’t accept it , and give it to her.”

“Don’t worry .I will talk to her, and I now right now she might be upset but deep down she is happy for you. You deserved it , Swayze.” She pauses for a sec ,”Wish me luck.”

“I will send out a prayer.” Robby laughs when she flips him off.

“Sam?” Tory calls out , she steps inside the lockers and looks through the rows of lockers. At the end lane, she finds her on the bench , wringing her fingers and chewing her lips.

“Sam-,”

“I’m guessing you know already.” Sam is quick to cut her off, she keeps her eyes firmly to the dirty floor.

“Yeah, I saw Robby on my way here.” Tory’s voice is soft and low, almost like a whisper.

Sam scoffs , her face pulls in away she trying not to cry. If it was any other girl, Tory would laugh at their faces and mocked for crying over not getting the spot she wanted. But this was Sam.

“I know this was important to you-,” She reaches for the girls hand but Sam pulls away , and Tory tries not to focus on that. She breathes in and out to buy time to find the right words.

“I know there was a big percentage that voted for you. How can they not? Yasmine and Moon saw you practiced all weekend to get every single move down to perfection. And knowing Yasmine, she probably opened her big mouth and gossip to the whole school how you would be the perfect candidate. ”

Slowly Sam’s frown start to form into a small smile, and the line between her furrow brows disappear. Tory makes the move to grab her hand again, this time the brunette doesn’t move but holds on tightly.

Sam turns to face her , her blue eyes are watery and mascara is a bit runny on the outer corner but to Tory ,she looks pretty . Moving forward to kiss her which Sam gladly returns.

“You did good, Princess.” Sam lets out wet laugh at that. “Next time might be the charm. Robby deserves it . He worked harder.”And Tory slips on his words and sees Sam face work up a storm. Tory smile drops quickly almost as Sam’s did.

“Robby doesn’t care about the team. We both know that. He join the team just to prove a point to an asshole who he ended up dating. So Don’t tell me he worked as hard.”Sam yelled, her blue eyes turned angry. No tear in sight yet glossy.

“I know your upset but you don’t have to scream at me. Robby is our friend. We need to support him. I know he cares about this as much as you do. I was there , I saw the hard work he had to do to mesmerize and—“

“Robby comes late to practice because he’s too busy sticking tongue down his boyfriend throat.He wears the wrong uniform, and not because he likes wearing skirts. He made me tell the coach to rearrange the spots because he wanted to do the jumps. He even had Demetri and Frank join to hold him up.” Sam said in frustration , she stands up putting space between them, like being so close to her was not letting her breathe.

“What I know right now is your acting like a selfish brat. You should feel happy for our friend. I’m not gonna let you talk bad about Robby. He’s my best friend he deserves—“

“I’m your girlfriend!” Sam’s yells. “I’m your girlfriend , your supposed to be by my side .”

“I’m not going to coddle you while you act like a spoiled brat not getting what she wants.” Tory finally explodes. And she regrets saying that when she sees Sam’s face fall.

“Well this spoiled brat is going to leave you alone. Don’t want to ruin your day.” Sam spats out , and leaves Tory on the bench with her mouth open .

Practice was shit. How can Tory concentrate when her mind replays her fight with Sam. The coach is busting her balls as she keeps getting distracted. Tory holds in the urge to flip him off.Taking a quick shower and changing into her clothes, she has fleeting idea to find Sam.

Huffing at that, Tory was too mad right now. It’s better for them to cool off. She sends a quick text to Robby about giving her a ride.

It was useless being at home. She tried relaxing watching some tv, her mind wandered off. Went to do her homework , her mind drifted . Eating , appetite dismayed. A quick power nap , ended up being rolled in her blanket with the hundred turns she did.

Tory wasn’t like this. How could she let this small hysterical girl lead her into a spiral mess. Screaming into her pillow, and kicks off the blanket, Tory grabs the nearest jacket and grabs her keys. Her little brother was over his friends house finishing a project so she had time to kill.

She ends up at Mrs.LaRusso house, Well now ex Mrs.LaRusso , after the divorce she insisted Tory to call her Amanda. If anyone knew Sam better it was her mother. Amanda had been a person for Tory to able to reach out whenever she needed help. It meant a lot for Tory. She never had someone to trust without the other person gaining from it.

Amanda helped her get into the football team, she made the coach her bitch and demanded Tory to be able to play with the boys. Amanda was her idol .

Raising her arm to knock, Tory briefly wonders if Sam was here. She can’t. Sam was a Daddy’s girl. So she must be with her dad trying to comfort her.

“Tory!, Hi!” Amanda didn’t look surprise at her arrival. Tory came often to visit her .

“Hey.”

“Come in , sweetheart, is too hot to be standing under the sun.” Amanda opened the door wide to let her in.

Tory still blushes when Amanda calls her that. Sam liked to tease her about it , it made the girl giggle to think Tory had a crush on her mom. She didn’t. Tory wasn’t used to affection for along time, and she still is adjusting. Hell, Tory turns red when Sam calls her baby or kisses her neck.

“What brings you here, not that I love having you over but usually your with Sam.” Amanda tsked, and tipped Tory’s chin affectionately ,”and without that frown.”

“We had a fight.” Tory mumbles sadly.

“How about we sit down in my new couch that is great for conversations and serve us that pink lemonade you like.How does that sound?”

“It’s sounds like a plan.”

Amanda tell’s her to go ahead as she leaves to the kitchen, Tory has a debate in her mind, not wanting to ruin the expensive couch but sits down either way. But not after checking to see if she got anything on her that would damage the cushions.

When Amanda comes in and sets the tall glasses , Tory explains what happened .How she heard the news, What she talked about with Robby, and then the fight between her and Sam. Tory expresses how she feels like she failed to being a good girlfriend and how Sam gets on her nerves, Tory apologizes when she realizes she was throwing diss at her daughter.

“I think this might be about something else. “ Amanda took a sip of her lemonade and gave her a pointed look.

“So it’s not about the spot .” She asked confused.

“It is but there’s more to the underlying issue.” Amanda just confused her more.

“I don’t understand.” Amanda chuckled fondly at Tory.

“I think there’s a possibility , that Sam, is jealous over your relationship with Robby.” Amanda explained and didn’t flinch or jump when she shouts.

“What?!”Tory apologizes and continues ,”Robby is my best friend, he has a boyfriend and I don’t see him in that way .”

“I know, You and Robby spend a lot of time together and maybe Sam took that a sign that you prefer being with Robby more than her.” Amanda grabbed her hand to comfort her . Tory squeezed her hand back twice , her mind racing and her touch made her grounded .

“He’s my best friend, And she’s my girlfriend .” Tory hoped it explain what she meant and like always Amanda always did and helped her.

“Remember when You and Robby were fighting , He felt you were replacing with Sam and you thought he was doing the same when he started dating.”

She nods . How can she. It was the worse, having the possibility that she could lose her friend, her only true friend scared her. It turned out Robby was having the same problem, but both being bad at communicating their feelings just made them think otherwise.

“I wasn’t there to help Sam when she needed. I thought she would be okay, with having Yasmine and Moon. I didn’t think it would affect her.”Tory says truthfully “I don’t want to hurt her , even when I don’t know .”

“I know you don’t sweetheart.” Amanda lifted her chin so they would be eye to eye and gave her the warmest smile, “And she knows this . Sam is just emotional right now , Maybe she just need to hear this from you.”

“Thank you for hearing me out, Amanda.” Tory voice wobbles .

“Anytime, you will always be welcome here. “

And when Amanda pulls her into a hug , Tory blinks away any sign of tears when they pull away.It’s a successful mission even if Amanda helps her wipe them away.

Tory had a plan. But that plan had to change three times. She wanted to take Sam out but Tory couldn’t get a babysitter on time. Getting ice cream and giving her flowers was the next plan , except she had to pick up her brother and she wouldn’t have time to go get Sam and Tory couldn’t splurge on flowers that will end up dead in a few days.

The flowers were ditched. She didn’t want to go get Sam and get rejected in front of her brother . So she called up Robby. Except Robby was busy . Told her to give him 30 minutes.

Those 30 turn into a whole hour. He showed up with his shirt inside out and wet hair. Rolling her eyes , she explained her plan.

Robby had to keep an eye on her brother but after he gets Sam to the ice cream shop that was next to Tattoo and Flower shop . It took another 10 minutes because Robby called his boyfriend to give them all a ride .

Tory stood 20 minutes awkwardly in the sweet dairy shop. And another 10 sitting down ,her legs bounced and she stared tapping her knuckles on the small round table . The sound it made calmed her down.

The bell under the door rings making her spring up in her seat, smiling seeing it was Sam this time. It stopped getting embarrassing after third time she did it.

Sam stood frozen but a shove from Robby made her move. She looked over her shoulder watching , Robby , Rickenberger and Oliver order ice cream .

“For a second I thought you weren’t coming.”Tory decided to be the first to speak. Sam still looked bothered.

“I wasn’t but i told Robby I said some shit about him and he held it over me .” Sam explained and turn to the window shop like it pained her to look at her.

“I guess playing nice is off the table.” Tory scoffs already failing to keep it peaceful . But Sam wants that helpful either.

“Why am I here Tory.” Sam demands still avoiding her eyes.

“I’m here to fix this but I see you have no interest acting all bitchy.” Tory snaps making Sam finally to look at her even if it was to glare.

“I didn’t come here so you could call me a bitch.If that’s all I’m leaving.” Sam made an attempt to get up and leave .

“Sit your pretty ass down , LaRusso.” Tory orders , Sam sits back down with her jaw clenched, She continues“ I had this plan to apologize but you make this so hard . Everything with you is difficult , I can’t do one mistake without you breathing down my neck, I can’t make a decision without you because it makes me feel awful, You made me stop drinking Red Bull because you didn’t like kissing me afterwards.”, Tory probably looks insane to the customers but she has to let this out and tell Sam everything.

“You force me to study and take school seriously, I can’t have fun because my fun for you is too dangerous and reckless . I changed for you, only for you to act like prissy cupcake!” Tory finishes with a deep breath , her chest felt like it was going to burst . She clenched her hands trying to ground her self .

“If you hate it so much , Why didn’t you just stopped and ended things!” Sam yelled back feeling hurt by the words .

“I love you!,”Tory whispers ,”Because I love you , Sam.” She says it louder not feeling ashamed.

“You love me?”Sam eyes widen and her chin wobbles and points to her self making Tory cooed at the action.

“Unfortunately , I do . Your scared that one of my mistakes will lead me astray. You get sad when I don’t include you because you think I rather spent time with anyone else because there’s a part of you that thinks I still see you as the spoiled annoying daddy girl. You hate my bad habits because you don’t want to see me get sick by drinking way too many energy drinks.” Tory feels her eyes water and tries to keep her composure and not cry.

“You want me to have a future even when some day it’s seems hard for me to imagine.And even when you’re a kill buzz ,you’re always looking out for me.” Tory lets out a wet laugh that Sam follows . She felt her heart rate race faster and she barely cares that people are staring at her and Sam.

“I love you so much , I became the girl that will make a scene in front of strangers and confess my love for you like one of your favorite rom com.” She makes a point to look at the others who were ear-dropping in their conversation . Tory can’t but blush at the end , now everyone knew she loves Sam. At least the people who are in the store.

“I’ve been told I come across a bit extreme. But I’d rather hear it from you as long you tell me how much you love me like today.” Sam sniffs and gives her a prize winning smile and says , “ I love you too .And I’m sorry for acting—“

“I get it. I haven’t been acting like the best girlfriend. I pushed you aside and made you feel Robby came first or he was more important than you. You both mean the world to me.” Tory cuts Sam off wanting her to know that Tory understands and wants her to know how she means to her . Sam nods making her curls bounce making Tory swoon.

“Aww.” Robby interrupts Tory focus.

“Shut it Swayze.”

“I love him.”Tory points back at her best friend who is smiling softly “How can I not , But I love him in a way that I will kick anyone ass who will dare to hurt him because he’s my family , that warning is for you Rickenberger, ” Tory warns but focus back at Sam “But I’m in love with you, Sam. I would fight the whole word just for you”

Sam throws herself into her open arms and leans up to kiss her. Tory wraps her arms around her and lifts her up and brings her down. Sam backs up but their hands are interlaced .

“Will you forgive me for pushing you away and lashing out on you when you were trying to comfort me.”

“Yes. Always.”

“Robby, I’m sorry for saying those awful things about you. You deserve the spot on the team. I was to jealousy to accept it.”Sam says sincerely , and holds a hand out for him , who accepts it gladly.

“As long your paying out ice cream is all in the past.” Robby teases“Besides Demetri and I have a club where we complain about you on a daily bases. Tory was in it.” Robby laughs at Sam’s horror look“I’m kidding” He quickly adds.

“Hey, Buddy . I’m sorry for making your sister upset.” Sam leans down to Tory’s brother , who watched the whole spectacle with wide eyes. Sam felt embarrassed .

“It’s okay. Just promise you won’t hurt her.She’s really important to me.” He puffed his chest out to look serious and strong to defend his big sister. Making Tory proud of him and heart melt.

“She means a lot to me too. Lets pinky swear.”

“Okay, that was terrible!, Let’s go straight from the top.” Robby claps his hand to grab their attention . Even if they heard him clearly since he was yelling.

“Again!, I can’t feel my arms !”Demetri whined making the other boys groan in agreement.

“Stop complaining , I’ve seen you carry Hawk for way longer.”Robby shot back , clearly in fussy mood.

“Maybe we should take a break, Robby.” Sam suggested making the team collectively let out sounds of agreement .

“My mascara is running and its waterproof!”Yasmine huffed pulling out her compact mirror that she kept in her skirt.

“Yasmine, Does it look I like-“Robby was cut off by Sam .

“Robby, can you give me a minute.”Sam pulls him away to the side , she looks behind seeing everyone falling to the ground to rest . Even her own feet was screaming for a break. “I know the game it’s tonight but we should be well rested to put our best performance.”

“Sure.” Robby agrees making Sam shoulders fall in relief but it’s cut short as he continues—

“Until they get the choreography right. It has to be perfect. I have to be perfect because if I’m perfect then Doug wont mess up his chance to get recruited just because he was worried about me.”

Right. Recruiters. Sam understood , Tory was nervous as well , it was her chance for a scholarship to college and she had been practicing day and night. Even Johnny had been helping her with anything he could offer.

“How about you take a breather , go see him meanwhile I make sure our team have the very move pinned down .” Sam offered , knowing that was the only Robby would feel relax and Rickenberger would be able to distress her captain.

“Muscle memory.” Robby tilts his head to make sure she understood . His dark blonde hair moving with the movement making look like a Labrador puppy .

“Muscle memory.” Sam repeated to reassure him. She watches his retreating back run off to the other side of the field where the football players practiced. Robby and Tory high-fived as they pass each other.

Doug picks Robby up and twirls them .

“It’s so creepy . It’s like they have telekineses to sense one another when their upset.” Tory gives her a kiss making her smile.

“I think it’s called telepathic or mind reading , baby.” Sam corrects her with a giggle making Tory roll her eyes.

“Whatever , I came to seem my favorite co-captain .” Tory pulled her waist to bring them closer with a mischievous grin.

“Just that.”Sam hummed , wrapping her arms around the blonde strong shoulders .

“No, came over to give her a kiss.” Tory lets out a laugh making Sam smile back.

“Well, Miss Nichols , I will like to inform you the co-captain will not be receiving kisses from her sweaty girlfriend.”Sam pulls away pretending to be disgusted , and scrunching her face in grimace.

“Oh really? Guess I might have to… I don’t know.. force her.” Tory smiles predatorily , and starts chasing her which Sam doesn’t outrun her.

“Tory ! No!” Sam shrieks trying to get out Tory grasp but not putting any effort.Tory giggles smacking her lips loudly after planting them into her temple, cheeks , and lips.

The sound of the whistle makes them pull apart , the coach way to announce break was over . Tory whined but Sam kissed her girlfriend one more time and sent her way . She blows her a kiss every time Tory glanced back at her. Hearing her giggle was music to Sam’s ear.

Song inspired one-shot

🎶This could be a disaster, there's so many factors🎶

There was 3 things that everyone knew in school ; School is Hell, Do the opposite of what you been told, And do not date Robby Keene.

That was a heartbreak everyone should avoid.

The guy had a reputation. Never went away and it lingered. This is where the ‘Do the opposite’ part goes, because even warned , The brave one’s still wanted .

No one’s to blame, the guy was practically an angel . With dark blonde wavy hair that curled against his ears, green shiny eyes , a cute nose and a sickenly sweet smile that made his face shine.

And a body built with muscles. To add to the package a heart of gold. Surprisingly no wings.

Yet, he had a huge warning sign above his head , In bed bold letters- Disaster.

Robby known relationships could be counted with one hand. Dated Sam LaRusso, the school sweetheart. It crashed and burn a few months in.

Next was Tory Nichols , schools bad girl. He went from preppy to bad boy image quickly. Although it was similar to what he wore before he dated LaRusso.

Lasted a good run , Until Nichols discovered she wasn’t into guys. Their love was real and is still alive but platonic now.

Rumored to had a fling with Hawk, Miguel’s best friend , That ended in a month when finally Eli and Demetri gotten their shit together. Robby nor Eli had confirmed or denied. Rumored that he hooked up with Miguel.

It was also rumored that he was dating an older rich man, but turned out it was his dad’s boyfriend not his. Yasmine cleared the air on that , after all, she was the one that started it.

And lastly was Shawn . Maybe that was the last strike that made Robby unmatchable.

Met in summer break and fell in love in the sunny days. Robby didn’t not have a smile in those months. He met the family , got close to Shawn’s little brother . And in between Robby was imagining a future .

Amongst the teenager gossiped about them , wondering when they would run off and leave , that was how deep Robby was in love , everyone could see.

Even a blind person could sense it.

Then summer was over and school began, and the future the blonde created in his mind was melted away by the sun.

He got back on his feet with a heavy heart and with the help of his friends—His Exes. The girls and boys flocked towards the now handsome guy, promising Robby to fulfill and nurture his broken heart.

And boy, did the world had a uno reverse card for them.

With time , the guy began dating. And only that.

The people who went on dates with Keene only came out with broken hearts. No relationship got out of this silly dates. It was like no one was worthy .

Again, it didn’t stop anyone.

Rickenberger didn’t see the appeal.Don’t get him wrong , the guy was hot but getting his heart crushed wasn’t as thrilling to him like it was for others.

Like a forbidden fruit. But the guy wasn’t stupid to try, why do the impossible. He did his best to turn the other ear whenever he heard people talking about the boy.

They never interacted or spoken before. Even when they had mutual friends, he kept it that way - He doesn’t want to be swept off by those “Prince Charming eyes” . The girls had not gotten creative. They shared one class together, but Rickenberger is usually trying to make something out of his paper.

He was hanging around with the guys when a name was brought that caught his attention.

Hawk and Miguel were talking about the new girl , Heather, who was hot and had a great personality . Not an ounce of shallow. It was rare these days to find a girl like that. Heather had managed to get Robby take her on a date , It was like their 8th one .

Doug finds out in Monday from Tory , Why Heather looked like a weeping mess ; raccoon eyes with runny mascara, red stuffy nose and dressed like a homeless person—Turns out there won’t be 9th date. He made a tsk sound and went back to his paper airplane, Tory accepts the cash gleefully that Hawk is handing her way, losing another bet.

In art class , everyone paired up to do a assignment . Robby and Rickenberger got paired up. Robby did most of the work , more at ease in his own craft while Rickenberger just followed the blondes orders.

They didn’t make small talk.Both were fine with that.

Then the cupcake stand happened.

Robby and Kenny still kept in touch and their friendship was still strong. Robby didn’t have the strength to put the kid behind along with his past.

Kenny was raising money for the animal shelter to give them better homes , Robby agreed to help immediately after he jokingly refused to.

The sells went up quickly . It had nothing to do with Robby giving out his number and selling his prize winning smile.

Kenny was close to his goal he just needed a bit more, like 100 buck more or less. They had cupcakes left but they were not counting on snotty brat kids that went with Kenny to wreck and destroy their stand.

Robby had left and he came back to see Kenny kicking the shit out of the remaking boy that hadn’t run away left.

Cupcake and frosting scatter and smeared on the concrete .

“ You okay ?” Robby rushed to Kenny and inspected to head to toe for any injuries.

“I’m fine. But our stand didn’t have the same luck. What am I going to do ?”

Robby felt his heart break for the dejected look on the kid. Kenny was so proud raising the money and there was no chance in hell , he was not going to let him down.

“Don’t worry . I’ll fix this. “ Robby said softly , extend his hand on the kids shoulder . Tapping it gently to get his attention .

“I promise.” Kenny smiled , it was faint but he was smiling at Robby.It made Robby heart break with how much the kid looks up to him and Robby gave his word to never hurt or leave Kenny. The boy didn’t deserve it, no kid does.

“We still have the last batch . We raise up the price and see where we go from there.” Robby knew it still wouldn’t be enough but he would figure it out.

They sold a couple , and ate to cheer up , but there was still a missing gap on cash. Robby wrecked his brain trying to come with an idea .

He couldn’t ask Mr.LaRusso again. He didn’t think the older man wanted to waste his cash on cupcakes again.

Kenny had to go home for dinner. Robby stayed , he had a promise to fulfill . The sun was setting in , the clouds were painted with pink and blues and a smidge of purple.

Like cotton candy.

Whipping out his busted phone to take a picture , ready to capture it when he stills for a second. A group of kids came out, ruining his view.

Wealthy kids. And one in particular he recognized , the tallest one wearing his red signature hoodie . It’s not his proudest moments but he had to get the remaining money and who else to force , not threaten , to buy some mediocre cupcakes .

“Hey!”

They swivel their heads , looking confused or like caught in the act of doing something bad. Robby pauses, rattling his brain to remember the guys name.

He can’t really just scream, red sweater, or can he? “Rrrrrr-uh, Ricardo !” Robby winces when they laugh , he makes a guess that he didn’t got the name right.

“Ricardo don’t be rude , the guy is calling you.” The guy with dreads snickered along with the rest of them , pushing the boy forward.

The guy takes his sweet ass time to come over. Once he is standing in front of him, he inclines his chin up in question.

“You got cash on you.”Robby goes straight to the point. It wasn’t quite a question nor a statement , it was in the middle.

“No.”He said dryly with a stone cold face.

“I know you do , Reese . I need a favor.”Robby knew Hawk’s type of friends , he hangout with people that lived in the suburbs and the stupid white picket fence.

“You don’t even know my name and your asking for money. “ The guy turns around to check if his friends are still waiting.

“I’m friends with your friend Hawk. So that makes us friends , and friends help each other.” He finishes with his best winning smile.

“Yeah, you can keep Hawk. “ ‘Ricardo’ gave him a mocking smile for a second , then letting it drop.

“Dude , I just need a couple bucks. I’ll pay it back.” Robby pleaded but ‘Ricardo’ wasn’t budging.

“Love to help but…” ‘Ricardo’ tried to leave but Robby surged , took hold of his arm and twisted his wrist to make him stay.

“Ow!” ‘Ricardo’ looked at like he was crazy, and Robby couldn’t blame him.

“Man, I’m asking kindly-“

“Your twisting my arm.”’Ricardo’ pointedly said as he interrupts him. Robby continued with his kind speech.

“Let me borrow some cash and —“Robby paused trying to think of something bargain. The guy winced every second , he felt bad but he got important matters to solve.

“I will go on a date with you!”

“No thanks. I’d rather bite my own arm off.” Robby tried no take offense on that since there was a chance that he was lying . The guy huffed when he realize Robby was not planning to let him go. Robby bet he wasn’t expecting him to be more stronger than him.

“How much ?” Ricardo gritted his teeth not overly fond to give his money away.

“100 please.” He said politely .Robby had manners , he even offered a head tilt that was proven to make everyone weak. Tory called it ‘puppy tilt’.

“100 !? Im not a bank!”Ricardo eyes widen , maybe he was immune to the head tilt.

“But you got it don’t ya big boy.”

“Here.” In exchange Robby gave him the left over cupcakes including with the cheap tray . The guy just look at them like he has never seen a cupcake before.

“What am I supposed to with these.”Ricardo asked , still a bit astound the boy had managed to convince him to give him the money.

“Eat ‘em . Throw ‘em . I dunno .”Robby shrugged and shooed him away wanting to pack up and leave . Kenny is going to be so happy. He glanced over to red hoodie boy walk away without looking back.

This damn cupcakes started this whole mess. Rickenberger left with his friends and Robby skipped in glee to Kenny’s house to give the money.

Life went on except for Doug. He can’t look at a cupcake without it reminding him of Robby. In school subconsciously his eyes looked for the guy. It went to the degree that he found himself doodling Robbys name like a girl.

He put brakes on that. He can’t have that happening. He won’t have to deal with him anymore.

Robby never lost faith in love. He was born with a big heart , even if it had its consequences . One being getting his heart broken. Robby had loved and lost but he never regretted one of his relationships.

Maybe that week that is never to be talked about again. It was his lowest .

There was so many failed relationship at attempt of happiness that one can take that would lead them into… insecurities.

Robby overthought every possibility that could go wrong. Or what could lead them wrong .One of his many dates for example.

Connie was Robby first attempt of dating . She had nice shiny straight blonde hair , smelled like strawberries and wore cute cardigans. Their date was going well, she said the right words, blushed when Robby would grab her hand and Connie was down to earth.

Connie also invited him over to her house, No sights of parents , A sign of alone time. Connie’s room was the reflection of her , except Robby didn’t expect the creepy dolls . It wasn’t a few. Her bed wasn’t filled of stuffed animals and pink duvet. It was just creepy ass dolls.

Robby couldn’t concentrate a single word that came out of Connie pink glossed lips. Tiny beaded eyes stared holes at the back, side and front of his head.

Robby flees when she started talking about them like they were real. Connie misinterpreted his horrified look into ‘Oh they look captivating’; Which was not the case. She was nice but not enough to see himself dating her. And her creepy old dolls.

It wouldn’t worked out in the long run. At one point he would’ve burn the creepy dolls for the sake of his protection and Connie would dump him ignoring his constant apologies for burning generations of porcelain dolls. And he wasn’t planning to traumatized his kids with the ancient dolls.

Tom seemed worthy in the beginning but the end came way too quickly. Blonde , green eyes and boyish smile. Good kisser and smart. Too smart , the kind that corrects your grammar, not in a cute way . A big ego too. The last date was a picnic , Tom complained about staining his jeans. He was boring , No he did not want to know about his family tree. At last , The guy whipped out a guitar and started serenading him.

Images popped into Robby’s mind and down the line , Robby wasn’t so sure being Tom’s boyfriend was the right choice for him. Unless he wants his ears to bleed every time the guy tries to sing.Looking down further being a trophy husband was good but not for Tom , So Robby chugged his drink and sprung out of his spot and grabbed the guitar .

Tom wasn’t complaining about the grass stains anymore . Robby felt bad for the guitar.

Caleb was a laidback guy . A boy that love his friends, skateboards and weed. It was fun at first , late night dates that consisted of skateboarding , joints and late night munchies. Except Caleb told him ‘I love you’ way too quick , Suddenly the smoke intensified , like they flipped the switch to a smoke machine, Caleb’s friends voices sounded louder and felt like they started kicking his seat . Robby coughed and coughed . The stupid broken door wouldn’t open the window .

“Robby?Babe?” Caleb dazed eyes look at him concerned . In seeing Robby trying for the door, he unlocked it . His friends stood quiet.

Robby pushed the door open , crawled on the ground , the cement floor scratching his palms , the scene disappeared now putting distance between him and Caleb .

“I got to go. Bye .” Robby waved them off , the three guys dumbly watched Robby leave with a coughing fit. Robby’s dream of having a Sk&ter boi like Avril Levine was a discarded.

Tiffany was a kind girl. His daddy issues came to play and almost got himself another father figure to look up because Tiffany’s dad was there. He spent talking way more with Mr. Harrington than Tiffany. The man only glared at him when he made any attempt to touch his daughters hand.

The auburn girl didn’t even spoke one word towards him. Robby could picture it already , falling in love with the auburn haired girl , the way the sun would set in her eyes , the way she would throw her head back to laugh at him for not being good enough and Mr. Harrington in the background because he is basically part of the relationship.

Mr. Harrington payed the check . What a kind man. Both mutually ignored each other after that. He wondered if Mr,Harrington went to all his daughter dates .

Then there was Venus . She was 5 inches taller than him, had that dark grunge aesthetic going for her, had a couple piercings. Eyebrows, Nose , lips , tongue and ears.

Robby liked her a lot . They painted each other’s nails . Talked shit about pretentious students and the asshole teachers that walked around with a stick up their asses. Shared playlist and her clothes. He listened to her talk about crystals, energy, and auras . It vaguely reminded him of Moon. He liked that she called pretty whenever he wore her skirts .But.

It took a downhill when Venus took him to the graveyard for a date . Candles and tarot cards . The goosebumps were a big red flag for him. She giggled when he admitted that he was scared. Robby wasn’t a big fan of that date or after that one. Robby likes to locked that day away in the back of his brain with 12 locks and a vault..

He wants his souls for the rest of his life, thank you very much. Robby knew if he ever did the girl wrong he would be sacrificed .

He says hi to her in the hallways even if she keeps giving him the middle finger and tells him to burn in hell.

Tory told him that he overthought every tiny thing and made into a big thing that made him restless. He would create the factors of the downfall of a relationship that haven’t even begun .

Robby disagreed . His countless dates were all lovely , but they had different expectations. And If anyone would ask , he bet they would all agree. Except Heather, it’s still too fresh.

He put a pause on his love life for now after going out with Heather. There was nothing wrong with the girl. She was hot, showed interest in his friends , funny, intelligent , and perfect.

Perfect didn’t go well with imperfections.

Robby honestly didn’t think he wanted to pay a first class ticket to that downfall. He thought about it, evaluated and came to a conclusion that he didn’t have time for relationship .

It was his senior year and he wanted to try his best this year and graduate. The slap stung his cheek but he forgave Heather when she burst out into tears.

Robby wanted love out of his head. So that’s what he did, woke up, go to school , hang out with Tory and go to sleep.

Then he is reminded of his payment. Kenny texted him and sent him pictures of the cute dogs , thanked for his enormous help.

Right, he owes the red hoodie guy 100 bucks .

“Ronnie, how are you today my friend!” Robby claps the guys back in a friendly gesture but by the way the guy pulled back , it had the opposite effect.

“Friends know their names.” Ronnie said dryly, Robby wondered if the guy is ever happy.

Doug brought his hand , showing a faint bruise around the wrist. It was faint colors of green and yellow, barely there.

“I’m sorry, how about I make it up to you. That catches your attention.” Robby smiled seeing him perk up . Finally. Being a robot is scratched off his list.

“You paying back my 100.” Rickenberger look down at the blonde waiting for the green but instead he got a cheeky smile. That didn’t set well with him.

“Give me your number. “

“Actually forget it. I don’t want it back.” He shuts his locker and head the opposite direction . Ignoring the blonde screaming a random name. He didn’t even feel a twinge of guilt.

Doug wasn’t sure why the hell he gave his number. The blonde didn’t even gave him his address. Another text comes after it. Why he got into his car and drove 5 minutes early to be on time.

Golf ‘N Stuff is a common place to go on a date, bring the family to play games, have fun with your friends winning as many tickets to win a prize. From a fun size eraser, rainbow slinky or a huge ass stuffed animal.

So here was Rickenberger and Robby playing mini golf , Robby was actually playing, Rickenberger was just awkwardly standing there wanting to walk out of the place.

“Do you plan to just stand there or are you going to shoot your shot.” Robby huffed at the awkward guy, he was playing by himself and it wasn’t that fun.

“I don’t understand what I’m doing here.” Rickenberger pursue his lips and look over his shoulder hearing a kid scream way too loud.

“Well, you grab your stick and hit this tiny white ball and try to shoot-

“I mean, what am i doing in this place.” Rickenberger said with a hint of exasperation .

“You like to cut me off don’t ya. Your parents didn’t show you manners” He says jokingly seeing if he could at least make the guy laugh or chuckle the least.Robby juts out his hip and looks at the side profile of the tall guy. He has not once looked at him.

“Sorry .” Ronnie didn’t sound sorry at all.neither his face looked remotely apologetic.

“We are here to have fun. Your lucky to score a date with me, Ronnie.” Robby spreads his hands almost hitting a woman in the face . He quickly mutters ‘sorry’ .

“Are you ever going to learn my name?”For the first time in that night, Rickenberger looked at Robby, who stood there , hand on his hip and a lifted brow. Looking at him disbelief.

Robby indeed knew his name but at this point it was like instinct to call him whatever comes to mind.He asked Tory , and explained why he liked to go by his last name.

“Are you going to play with me?”Robby asked , tilting his head aside trying to goad the boy to play . Robby realized how that sounded but it flew past over Ronnie’s head.

With a deep sigh coming from the tall boy and pointedly Ignoring the blondes huge smile and got in position .

They played a few rounds , Rickenberger sucked at mini golf and Robby got overexcited a few times. At one point , Robby stood behind the guy and placed his arms around him to fix his stance and stood on his tippy-toes to look over Rickenbergers shoulder.

Doug sighed for the 100th time.Not lying , Robby counted. “I’m never getting my money back aren’t I?” His voice sounded pained at the realization .

Robby couldn’t suppress his laugh, he founded funny how defeated he sounded. Pulling away, he pushed the tall boy who stumbled catching him off guard.

The least to say, Rickenberger didn’t have a good time.

Robby intended to pay back the money by going on dates. He didn’t think much of it. He could tell the guy wasn’t into him or had any interest before . And Robby didn’t have to worry about the guy liking him leading to spiral.

The guy was hard to crack. Always carried himself with that stone cold face and never offered a word out of curtesy. Didn’t laugh at Robby jokes , once in awhile he would slip and let out a smile, which did wonders. Robby mention once that he should try smiling more , he got shoved , gently, to the side.

Tory prodded him with millions of questions with his new sudden friend. Robby didn’t understand why she and Sam couldn’t understand that he was going on dates platonically to pay a debt. Which they never offered to help,How rude of them .

Robby and Rickenberger had gone to a bunch of dates and Robby had already picked his favorite ones , Subconsciously

Robby planned to take ‘Rhodes’ to a hike . Robby was not particularly fond on that idea but Eli’s mentioned his friend likes to do sports . Robby first idea was to play soccer but he didn’t want to crush the guy egos that quickly.

A hike it was. To the spot Daniel took him and his Dad , it had a great view that was just breathtaking. Maybe it would make ‘Russ’ speak other than ; Yes , No, Whatever , Fine , Don’t pinch me, Stop throwing that at me .

Rickenberger didn’t looked opposed to the his idea , didn’t even make a fuss when Robby made him make a stop at the grocery store. They needed snacks to bring his sugar level up after a tedious long walk.

Except they never ended up going to that hike nor left the store . There was a those claw machine games with fluffy stuffed animals. He kept on losing and wasted all the money he had on him including his money for the snacks.

His wallet is a dollar at being empty Maybe he should asked for a loaner to his date.

“Maybe we should head out. We have been here for hours.”Speaking of the devil,He sighed like he was miserable. It was his 25th sigh, Robby was keeping count. He bets that’s what is throwing him off.

“It has not been hours .” Robby side glance at his wrist , there was no watch but it hadn’t felt like hours but 30 minutes .

“It’s about to be 7.” Rickenberger scratched his head , and crossed his feet as he was inclined to the wall.

“Then we are in the clear.”

Rickenberger sighed deeply and reclined against the wall again. He tried to avoid looking at the blonde but his eyes went to the random strangers, the cash register , and then to the pink tongue that was sticking out of Robby’s lips in concentration.

His eyebrows were furrowed and his green eyes seemed like they were to pop off with how wide they were. He looked at the machine, the claw had gripped a giraffe but it was slipping . Rickenberger turned to look at his watch, then to the security guard and then to Robby.

Clenching his jaw, he walks away and heads to the lady who looked at him in surprise to seem him here still.

He hears Robby shout in frustration and throws a fit. He thanks the woman for changing his bill. Robby is on the floor , head on his knees, mumbles “The machine is rigged.”

“Maybe.” He offers a dollar under Robby’s fingertips. Robby loses again .

“I have to win.” Robby shakes Rickenberger in frustration. His green eyes looking a bit crazy.

“How about you go take a breather and buy something. Here.” Rickenberger pushes him off of him. Robby agrees easily and tells him he will be right back . He hopes he doesn’t .

Doug takes a look at the machine and at the exit . He hates himself , he really does because instead of ditching the crazy maniac he begins to play.

He loses 5 dollars until he succeeds. Robby screams and jumps in his arms and in the excitement , Rickenberger spins him and laughs and Robby start to chant “We won , we won.”

They kicked them out after winning a frog, one sheep , a deer and the blue teddy bear and two empty wallets.

Rickenberger try his hardest to hide his smile when Robby aligns them and sing we are the champions. He never ask about the stuffed animals whereabouts, he sees them again in Robby’s room like trophy’s and he swallows down his heart that tries to jump out.

They hadn’t planned to meet up at the park. Robby was hanging out with Demetri and Eli at the new comic store that Ei wanted to check out. After leaving the store, they walked hand in hand , Except Robby. He walked slower to get behind them already feeling like a third wheeler or worse, Robby eyes widen when he sees someone familiar .

Rickenberger was with a girl . Dark skin and chestnut hair. Maybe he was on a date? Robby was going to continue walking but he changed his mind as he watched Rickenberger and the girl went their supérate way. He bid his goodbye to the couple and ran to the guy.

“Is my date going out with somebody else.” Robby hoped the guy couldn’t tell he was slightly out of breath.

“Are you following me ?” Rickenberger lift his brow in question , not even feeling weirded out by the short male presence . He has gotten use to it by now.

“Your not that lucky, Ruddy.”Robby rolled his eyes and began walking in a random direction.

“You won’t hurt my feelings if you are.” Robby looked at the guy who was shaking his head. Something in him wanted to know desperately , but he passed it off as a friend wanting know about his friend love life.

“Promise ?” Rickenberger plays along but doesn’t look like he will say anything that Robby wants to hear. Always avoiding .

“I’ll do you one better, I give you my word.”Robby pulls his arm to stop him from walking , and chuckles at the guy confused face.

Robby scoffs at ‘Ruddy’ , who walked away like he had the last word. Robby jumps on his back , making the latter almost trip.

“I will like to see you try.” Ruddy squeeze his knee and threw his head back laughing when he felt his ear being bitten back but being careful not knock his with the blonde. They walked aimlessly the park , Rickenberger obviously not putting any input into the conversation , Robby gave up and started singing which the latter complain at the end of the song.

Unknown to Robby, Rickenberger kept smiling finding it cute how Robby couldn’t finish a song and would jump to a different one.

They stopped to sit under a big tree that had the most shade . They found a book that someone must’ve left behind. Robby checked if it had any name or phone number but no luck.

“Read to me.” Pushed the book to Rickenberger but he pushed it back to his.

“I can’t read.” Robby squinted at him for the obvious lie but let him get away with it this time and opened the book.

“Is this one of them.” Rickenberger opened his eyes and pinched his wrist.

“Is it hilarious?”Robby throws back with a pout .

He tries to turn away quickly to hide his smile but Robby giggle tell him he failed . They both leaned against the tree, shoulder to shoulder, their heads incline to each other.

“Chapter one , When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home.” Robby began , Rickenberger listen to every word he voiced out and solely focus on the warm velvet voice.

By the time the sun went down , less people were around and into chapter 5, Robby head rested on Rickenbergers lap as he read and somewhere along the time , Rickenbergers hand found it’s way to Robby’s hair . It made Robby feel cloudy, he really liked it.

Every time Rickenberger stopped , Robby whined , and then he continue once again.

Tory joked once to shut him up with a kiss , he tried to suffocate her with a pillow and called her crazy. Later that night , he thought about it and blushed down to his chest.

He slapped himself for reacting like that.

They would talk in the hallways , read in the park, and went back to play at the supermarket . Robby had added to his collection four more stuffies and one big teddy, he named it Tanner , it was a soft honey brown colored bear with green eyes.

It sat proudly at the center of his twin sized bed , it was his favorite , it was Robby’s dollar but is was Rickenbergers skill that won it. They won together . The guy always acted all shy and flustered whenever he entered his room , Robby takes it up further and proudly shows off Tanner.

In bed he felt bored , he cuddled Tanner closer , Tory cancelled her plans with him having to take care of her brother.He offered his help but she passed on it something about Sam going over.

He got up from bed and went to check on his dad that was making so much noise. He recline against the door , Tanner on his arms, His dad was trying on different dress shirts.

“Are you going out ?”

“Taking Daniel to that new Mexican restaurant that he found and been nagging me to take him.” His dad complain but his voice sounded anything but annoyed.

“Is it the one that inaugurated like two weeks ago.” Robby fiddled with the bottles on the nightstand.

“I see he’s been talking your ear off.”

“He loves to talk.” His dad looked at him with a fond grin.

“He loves to talk.”Robby repeats because it was true but they both love Daniel even if he talked for hours.

As he waved goodbye to his dad and Daniel , he closed the door and wander back to his room. With a huff he fell back to his bed. Robby pets Tanner one more time and leaves him on the bed , grabbed his phone and send a text .

An hour later he’s outside of a 7-Eleven , High off his ass thanks to Caleb, the guy was a good dealer. He was hanging out with him while waiting for Rickenberger to arrive.

The guy isn’t so happy to see him high . For a second Robby thought he left but he had just went to buy him a slushie and Oreos to sober him up.

It didn’t . Or maybe he just wanted to buy him Oreos because he knows Robby loves them, A whisper echoed . His high-self likes that idea.

He skates around the empty parking lot . He pauses to shove the last 3 cookies into his mouth and picks up his foot off the ground again.

“You look like a chipmunk .” ‘Ricky’ blurts out as he sat on the sidewalk.

“I thought you said I looked like a puppy?”Robby quickly says not wanting the cookies come out flying out of his mouth.

“I meant with your cheeks puffed out and full.” He points a finger in his direction but not specific making Robby foggy brain think somewhere else.

Robby tries to look back at his ass and back to him with a scandalized look, “No one has ever told me my ass was big in that way.”

“Not your ass , Robby. Up here.” Robby for the first time was seeing Rickenberger blush. It surprised him.So much that he fell on his ass.

“You okay?” Rickenberger is quick on his feet and rushes over to him.

“Stop being a baby .” He pulls him up to stand on his two perfectly fine legsand is stunned when Robby wraps his arms around his waist and plants his face in his chest. He had his arms hanging by his side , having no clue what to do.

“For someone who doesn’t bother my name , has gotten quite comfy with me.” He huffs fondly and looks around the parking lot .

They stay a bit longer , Robby ended up teaching him how to skate , They exchange stories of the dates they had , Robby tries not to take great offense on how loud the other laughs. The changed the topic to random shit.

“I’m a rom-com guy.” Robby confess not feeling embarrassed .

“What’s your favorite one.” Rickenberger ask genuinely , he knocks his knee to Robby’s . They sat on the cold sidewalk , their shoes planted on the skateboard moving it left to right.

“Sorry, Sorry, is that the reason Tory calls you Swayze .” Rickenberger takes a hold of Robby’s wrist and trying not keep on laughing.

“No but it’s one of the reasons. If you laugh this time I will hit you.” Robby warns again but the guy raised his hands in defense with that sly smile.

“I give you my word.” With those it makes Robby shyly smile .

“My mom thought it would be a great idea to give me that middle name. She was a big fan.” Robby waits for him to laugh but he just smiles and gives him a look that he can’t read.

“Robby Swayze Keene. It has a nice ring to it.”

“Of course it does.” Robby grins and puff his chest out playfully.

“Can you pull any moves like Swayze .”Rickenberger teases making Robby chuckle.

“I don’t know can you move your hips like Baby?” He challenges the dark haired boy who is now looking bashful.

“Unfortunately I have two left feet.”

“I want to see”

“If you want your feet intact , you really don’t.” Rickenberger warns but it was no use.

Robby pull his arm to get him up with a bit more effort . Reluctantly , Rickenberger gives in and lets Robby guide him and does a semi decent job not to crush the blondes foot but he so bad at it that Robby laughs so hard he almost pukes over his hoodie.

Peering down at Robby , and staring into the green eyes , he’s at loss of words . Meanwhile Robby is having inner turmoil at if he wants to kiss him or push him away.

He decides to lean up and kiss his chin and say , “You suck at dancing , Rickenberger.”

Rickenberger shouldn’t have been grinning that hard just because Robby had finally said his name. Not to mention how flushed he probably looks by the tiny soft peck .

Robby never thought or imagined he would find himself with Rickenberger in a burger joint …with his dad.

There was a shift in their ‘friendship’. Something that Robby didn’t know if he should be worried about, It was small things but he had picked them up.

There was no awkwardness . They hugged often , spent more time in school and out of school; Robby had introduced the guy to his friends . Robby met Rickenbergers family , who were lovely and kind .

One time they held hands at the park , Rickenberger blushing became a thing , Robby wasn’t far behind either.

Robby had invited Rickenberger over to read , since it rained they couldn’t go to the park like they usually did . They were practically cuddling when his Dad came to his room. Robby tried to explain to him that they were just friends there was no need for Johnny to give the poor guy a shovel talk.

“What’s your name kid.” His dad asked with a bite in his tone.

The poor guy didn’t even want to eat , he kept looking like scared child and Robby felt bad but he was enjoying it seeing him squirm . It was more funny when dad invited him to dinner but this time with Daniel .

Robby had a field day having his dad and Daniel grill the guy. Daniel was more gentle unlike his Dad that had no filter and stern. Midway it was going well until movies became the subject . It was his fault, he should’ve warned Doug that Top Gun was not to be mentioned in the earshot of his dad.

Doug had to sit there, looking like he was about die and was regretting even meeting Robby, as Johnny ranted how Iron Eagle is more better and superior than Top Gun.

Least to say , Doug didn’t want to stay for dessert.

“Sorry about my family. Dad can be intimidating.” Robby walked him to the door .

“A little heads up would’ve been great. If I thought Tory’s little talk was bad this took the cake.” Doug rubbed the back of his neck still feeling anxious. He learned his lesson.

“Again , sorry, are you sure you don’t want to stay for dessert. It’s cake.” Robby grabbed his hand and giving it a squeeze.

“ No , I don’t think I could handle your dad’s deathly glare across the table as I choke on cake.” He squeezes back and pulls him closer. Robby goes along easily.

“As tempting as that sounds , I’m going to pass .”

“Put in a good word for me , Robby.” Doug tipped Robby’s chin with his finger . It felt like something stickily warm melt throughout his chest in the way he said his name.

“Bye.” Robby waits until he can no longer see him to close the door. He stays there for a second , touching his chin and not realizing he is smiling like a dumb fool. Daniel and Johnny share a knowing look between them as they watched Robby break out every second as he ate his slice of chocolate cake.

Doug couldn’t believed he was lost. Not metaphorically , he was literally lost , to make it worse , in the woods . It was dark and couldn’t see jack shit. Their phones had died an hour ago.

His watch read it was 11:00 but he was sure he read that two hours ago. He was tired of walking in circles. You heard him right, he , and only him.

Robby had tripped over a branch and fell and hurt his knee. He couldn’t walk or limp his way out. So , Doug had been carrying his heavy ass for hours giving him shitty directions .

Robby wanted to show him this majestic lake and he agreed . It really lived up to Robby’s words it left him breathless for a minute but not as carrying Robby .

They had a picnic that Mr.LaRusso kindly prepared for them. Robby drew their surroundings and the beautiful view and Doug watched him not feeling bored . He really regrets that, if he did then they could’ve have left earlier .

“Go left.”

“We have been going left for hours. Just admit that we’re lost.” He complained. He was allowed too. He couldn’t even see shit with how dark it was no matter how hard his eyes adjusted to the darkness.

Doug makes a sound mix of growl and scream. He goes left.

They took a break after that turn , Doug couldn’t feel his legs anymore . They sat on a big ass stone , double checked for any reptile or bugs.

“Im cold .” Robby had repeated that ten times already , he kept count. He didn’t have the energy to tell him to shut up or say something snarky. He took off his hoodie and handed over without a word.

He pointedly ignored the bubbling feeling that he got in seeing Robby wear his hoodie because now wasn’t time to be blushing like a schoolgirl .

“You think parents will come look for us?” He looks over to Robby , who was looking to the ground hunched over.

“Did you hear me?” He repeated but was met with silence. He couldn’t believe it. Was he mad right now. Whatever he won’t talk to him then.

“Are you seriously mad right now. I’m the one who should be mad.” Doug raised his eyebrows incredulously at the boy .

“Real cute , Robby.” Huffing he stands up and walks to the other side. Looking around trying to see if something looked familiar.

“This reminds me of my date with Venus.” Robby randomly blurts out . Doug knows who he’s talking about . She always gave Robby and now him the middle finger.

He hummed and squinted .

“She was fun until it got dark and I don’t like dark.”

“ I don’t know if you noticed you have been breaking hearts.” He plays with a dead leaf trying to not look judgemental .

“How can I ? When you’re glued to my side. Scaring all the recruiters away .” He complained . Checking his watch again, this time he was sure it was broken . It can’t still be 11:00.

“Didn’t realize you were looking for a girlfriend. My bad.” Robby clicked his tongue . Doug couldn’t see but he was rolling his eyes.

“Does it bother you if I do.” Doug really wish he could see his face . His reaction.

“No.” Robby winces at the quick response , he tries to sound nonchalant this time“Why would it.”

That was not the answer Doug wanted to hear so feeling hurt he ask Robby an uncomfortable question.

“Are you still in love with him?” He didn’t think he had to say his name.

“Who ?” Robby shifted in his place , sound of dead leaf and branches crunched under his shoes.

“Him. Is that the reason your always find your dates horrible because it’s not him.” Doug didn’t even bother to mask the anger in his tone.

Robby paused . He never thought about it . Maybe it had been that, he was in love with Shawn when he began dating again . But that live slowly faded to a memory now like all his loves that he had. It didn’t hurt to think about Shawn like it used to .

“At first. “ Robby looks away from his shoe to Doug’s eye whose gaze was not wavering. He could feel his eyes on him even if he can’t see”But not anymore.”

Doug scoffed when he found himself going over . They cuddled trying to heat each other up but the freezing air reminded him it would get worse.

“That wasn’t funny.” He could hear the pout that Robby was making. Robby tries to pull away but he wraps his arms around him tighter.

“Why not , Jealous much?” He teases the blonde who was now feeling warm by the blush creeping on.

“Random question , Did you ever hooked up with Hawk.” Robby is a master of changing topics. He had heard a few rumors about the guy , but one stuck out the most.

“Did you? “ Doug retaliates .

“We say it in the count of three.” Robby offers , settling back to Doug’s chest.

“1, 2, 3!” Both counted and both kept quiet. Making them laugh .

There was sound making them freeze. It was Robby’s phone, it turns out that it was not dead and Mr.Lawrence had texted him. They got into another argument about how the whole time they could’ve search for a good signal and get the fuck out of there.Their parents were not happy with them . Doug’s parent grounded him for being reckless .

He and Robby didn’t get too speak in the ride home since the blonde fell asleep on his shoulder. At home he later down on his bed , wide awake staring at his ceiling . His minds was working overtime trying to decipher if Robby was still in love with his ex and if he even had a chance.

Doug had realized the past few days that he had fallen for Robby. He tried shoving the feeling down but it was useless the boy had snuck his way in. But somehow tonight it just proved that there was a chance that Robby wouldn’t reciprocate . With how he didn’t answer.

His phone rang. He reached out to grab it and had to calm his heart from jumping out of his chest. It was Robby.

“I can’t sleep.” Robby tired voice rang out.

“You were drooling perfectly fine on my shoulder . I thought you’d be in you fifth dream by now.” He smiles as he hears Robby’s muffled laugh.

“Shut up. Something is keeping me awake.”

“Same. I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable with all the questions.”Doug hoped he could hear his sincerity. He was an asshole . Robby agrees way too quickly . He wounds him but Robby’s giggle heals him.

“Does it bother you that people might think we are dating.” Robby’s sounded small. Like the answer would scare him.

“Your parents and Tory think we are dating.” Doug say aloof , not wanting to sound nervous.

“You didn’t answer my question.” Robby presses again, voice more louder.

“You didn’t either.” He reminds him about the question in the woods. It was evasive .

“Im not in love with Shawn. I haven’t been for awhile .” Robby says without stuttering nor shaky. It was like he could breathe again , like a thorn had been plucked out from him.

“It doesn’t bother me. It never has. Insanely I like it , since I don’t have to worry you will date anyone else.” Doug closes his eyes waiting for Robby reaction.

“Why would that worry you?” Robby voice shook , he gripped his phone tighter not wanting his fingers to tremble.

“You’re important to me.” Doug answered truthfully not caring if Robby figures out his feelings. Robby laughs in disbelief on the other side .

“I’m serious . Robby you’re the most important person in my life even when you get us lost in the woods.Of you vomit on my black hoodie”

“You said promised to not to bring it up.”Robby smile is evident through his voice . When his laughter dies down Robby continues,”Your important too. I don’t want you to date anyone , even that girl from the park.”

“You got it , baby. “ Doug grinned and almost jumped out bed in excitement. But he stood still in bed and listened to Robby talk. They talked until they grew tired .

“Goodnight , Doug.” Robby whispers and waits for his response to hang up .

“Goodnight Robby.”

Up till now , Tory Nichols had become Robby’s best friend. But recently panic attacks has been trying to steal her spot. It didn’t happen that quite often, only a certain amounts that Tory and his Dad were aware of them and knew how to help him out of it.

Tory would look into his eyes, say his full name and remind him to breathe , she reminds him where he’s at , ask for his permission to touch him , it would help him feel grounded.

And that was what she was doing at this moment.

You see , After the phone call ended he was hit, more like sucker punched into realization that he had developed feelings for a certain person.

And all he can think is all his choice he had done since he met and hanged out with Rickenberger. He started hyperventilating when he realized how he gotten Rickenberger to take him out and fix his terrible dates that he had .

Now when Robby thought of his dates at the park, of stuffed cute animals, 7 Eleven parking lots, and night dates it wasn’t Connie, Tom, Caleb, Tiffany or Venus .

It was Rickenberger, Rickenberger, Rickenberger, Rickenberger.

He sprinted to Tory’s , and knocked down on her door , sweat dripping off of him in the most disgusting way. Tory let him looking worried, her eyebrow furrow as she watched him go in circles explaining his problem .

“— Like I didn’t even notice. Did I do it unconsciously or intentionally ?! , I thought we were just friends, I wasn’t even into him, he was just some guy that helped me one time and I , a good human being ,wanted to pay him back by being a friend”

“Robby, maybe you should take a second-.”

“And he is not a good friend let me tell you that. It took him weeks to utter more that 5 words to me. I had to dig deep , deep, deep ,and deep for him to actually look at me without his resting bitch face—

“Oh my God. That was my problem. I should’ve know . How didn’t I recognize it. I was blushing , blushing, when he called me Robby!” Robby looked and sounded hysterical. He pulled at his hair in frustration “That’s my name, I shouldn’t even be blushing by that.”

“Hey, sit and take a deep breath. It’s not good-.” Tory tried to get him to sit down and drink a cup of water .

“Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God! “ He scalp scream when he pulled harder.

“What?” Tory froze in concern .

“I’m cutting you off!, You know what that means? ,I like Doug or more.” Tory pulls his hands away from his hair and forced him to sit. He stood quiet at his epiphany . He felt his surroundings get cloudy and mushy.

“Robby there’s nothing wrong with that.” Tory grabbed his hand . She was worried about him. She knew he was going to react bad .

Robby knows that. But he knows that he will never be good enough for anyone. They only kept him for awhile like a paper weight until the wind leaves. His breathing turns erratic and Tory helps him patiently to bring him out of his foggy mind.

🎶 At the critical chapter where I say, "I love you" 🎶

Robby decided to end things. He stuttered his whole speech and argument and avoided eye contact , including putting distance between them. Doug didn’t interrupt once but somehow he knew the cute smile he once had when Robby pulled him aside was long gone.

“Wow.” Hurt was written all over his face. It made Robby heart sunk. He had hold back from reaching out.Doug laughs bitterly avoiding his eyes now.“I’m getting dump. Which is funny because we are not even a couple.”

“This is not how I wanted things to end up.” Robby tried to explain but it was no use . He felt his throat was tied in a knot . Robby thought it would be easier like the countless times he had done it with the others. But having Doug look at him with a blank face hurt a thousand times than slaps he’d received.

“Don’t lie. This is how you want things to end, You just decided to do it right now“Doug voice was cold and harsh. Doug felt stupid in believing Robby could ever feel something for him. He had to leave he couldn’t look at him anymore , to look at the pity look was like a thousand stabs to the heart.

“Doug-“ Robby tried to speak but was cut off and this time he couldn’t even make a joke about it .

“Just don’t.”

Robby stood there holding back his tears . Regretting his choice but there was no turning back. Robby had to deal with the absence and the ache in his chest. Tory , Sam and Demetri always made sure to be with him at all times . It made him feel a tad bit better.

But Robby knew you can’t replace someone with anyone.

“Pup, Your friend is at the door.” Johnny knocked his door and told him he was going to be in his room to give him ‘privacy’.

“What are you doing here?” Robby asked Doug. The guy stood there , for once not looking awkward with his tall body , he looked determined and Robby didn’t know what for.

“You owe me 100 dollars.”Doug shrugged and didn’t offer anything else. Robby had to held back a disappointed sigh, he was kind of expecting…He is not sure what but no this.

“Right, uh , Give me a minute to ask my dad to loan me some cash.” Robby points with his thumb over his shoulder. He tries to move back but a hand stops him.

“No. That won’t do.” Both of them stare where their hands touch . Robby wanted to pull away but he couldn’t , he wanted to stay there and just hold Doug’s hand.

“Your want with interest too?” Robby tried to joke but fell flat, because that’s what you do when you try to avoid problems or feelings for that matter.

“Yeah, actually I do. Go put some shoes on .” Doug ordered

“Okay…” Robby was confused. And even more confused that he obeyed and got on his car without a fight. The drive was quiet , not one uttered a word. It was like when they started hanging out.

Once parked, Robby turned to the window to look outside. He told Doug he was not getting out , Doug opened his door , and against his better judgement his feet went against him and walked in .

“What are we doing here.” Robby couldn’t keep quiet anymore. He kept his tone hushed not wanting any stranger to listen in their private conversation. He’d knows by experience the information he knows about a just because they talk way too loud.

“We are going to buy tickets, sit down and watch the big screen. And if you’re a good boy in line , I might buy you the large bucket of popcorn.” Doug gave him a cheery smile that stuck familiar. Robby was not connecting the pieces . A few days ago , both of them haven’t spoke since that day .

“That’s not what I meant.” Robby shuffled forward when the line moved. Why was there so many people?

“We’re going to watch Top Gun Maverick .” Doug explained slower and patted his shoulder. He lets out a smile, a real one this time now that he sees Robby understanding .

“Doug, I’m serious.” Robby shoulders fell. How did he not see his own work all over the blueprints . Even if Robby was jumping and screaming in the inside it still wasn’t a good idea .

“I’m serious , do you see me laughing, I was told that the cast is hot.” He was not laughing but he was smirking .

“No.”Robby was determined and tried to stick his ground.

“I’m not kidding, Miles teller is trending , not really into mustaches but I was sold. Glen Powell from-”

“What I mean , why are we here. I told you this thing is not going to work out.” Robby cuts him off before he loses concentration because of Glen Powell .

“Your protection squad came over to talk to me. Including Miguel and Hawk.They made me understand what you did. I’ve learned you like to overthink in that smart brain of yours. You like to over analyze the tiniest things, if my smile meant something more when I gave it to you or to a random guy, if our hands touch each other for more than 5 seconds, If we call each other a 3 am means something other than us having insomnia and then creating an ending so you won’t go to the trouble of suffering of a broken heart.” Doug gently grabbed his hand and leaned down to look at him in the most softest way Robby ever had someone looked at him.

“That’s not true.” Robby argues weakly causing Doug laugh.

“It is baby. And you know what, let’s do it together , let’s take it day by day . We go on your own pace . I’d rather have you now than to think in a few year at wonder what could’ve been . I know your scared that we could end quicker than you imagine but what if we last forever , Even if it sounds impossible . I want to try because I like you and maybe even more Robby.” Doug did his best not to let his voice crack or burst out into tears . He was holding on to Robby for dear life because there was a bigger chance Robby would reject him than to date him.

“I don’t like promises.” Robby says pulling away from him.

“I don’t break them.” Doug hearts break a little but keeps on trying.

“Eventually everyone does.” Robby chin wobbles and that hits Doug harder .

“I give you my word , Robby. “ It’s hard to speak when there’s a knot in his throat trying to suffocate him. He watches Robby walk around taking deep breaths in and out.

Robby comes back and simply says ,“Minions“ Making Doug confused and thought he heard wrong. Robby couldn’t believe he was agreeing but his giant was right. Maybe he could get his heart broken again but He wants to try again and not because he needs to but because he wants too. Desperately .

“Huh?”

“Dad would kill you if he finds out you took me to watch Top Gun .”He shakes his head fondly and pulls them into the long line again.

“Minions it is then.” They both had matching smiles and glossy eyes . They held hands tightly not wanting to risk in being separated again.

Doug bought the tickets and let Robby choose the snacks. They got a bucket of popcorn which Doug promised, sour skittles, and some sour gummy worms. And decided on a big sprite for the two of them. Doug finds his wallet hollow every time he goes out with Robby. He’d just have to find a job.

Their hands were full , they walked slowly trying not to drop anything. Taking their seat , waiting for the movie to begin , Robby shoe began to tap, a sign Doug picked up , that he was nervous.

Grabbing his hand, interlacing their fingers brought Robby out of his fuzzy mind. Robby sighs and his shoulders drop, slowly melting into the seats and squeezed Doug’s hand .

“I’m here. I’m going to stay until you don’t want me anymore .” Doug reassured him .

“Even if you never could watch Top Gun ?” Robby half jokes because that might be true in for his safety.

“I probably sneak off with Mr. LaRusso , I bet he had a thing for Val Kilmer.” Doug snickers at Robby fake scandalized look.

“You cannot repeat that information ever, never to my dad , he will literally bury you alive.” Robby whispers pausing to laugh away .

“As long as you come and visit me at my grave. “

“It wouldn’t be my first date in a graveyard I’ll tell you that.” Robby shoves a handful of popcorn into his mouth . Doug really was a goner because even with a mouthful of popcorn Robby looks beautiful .

“Robby?”

“Hmmm.”

“This won’t be a disaster.”

“Even if I don’t pay your money back.” Robby green eyes shined in the dark room , and Doug really gets it now. With those eyelashes Robby really has it all to be a prince.

“I made my peace that I will never see that money again.” Doug dramatically sighs making Robby grin making his eyes crinkle making his heart beat faster.

“Worth it?” Robby does that cute puppy tilt and man was he a goner. He leans forward and seals the distance between them, it felt like paradise to finally kiss Robby. If he felt his heart full when Robby give him a peck on his chin ,now he felt like he was tasting heaven. His lips were soft as they looked . He discreetly pinches himself just in case he was dreaming.

“Down to the last penny.”

Sweet like Marshmallows (Baby Project part 2)

@sassycobra I know it’s late but I finally got around to tweak it up and finish writing it. I hope you enjoy it like the first part.

Previous Summary : Robby and Doug get paired together for a project to look after a fake baby .

Almost everyone had passed the probation week , Today being the last day to carry around their filled rice baby. Suprisingly his friends managed to maintain the 'baby' intact . Even one time the two besties ,being Hawk and Miguel ,had argued over the fact Diaz had knocked over Hawk’s baby .

Which, Robby thought it was hilarious witnessing that whole scene.

"Hey! what the fudge, man . Do you want me to kick your ass for dropping my kid."

" Calm down , it was an accident . Its just a bag of rice."

" How dare you insinuate that about Phoenix, Your just jealous my baby is badass unlike yours . "

" Oh , you wanna go there because i will end your career in this moment hoe. Samantha hold my child." Miguel took the baby and handed it over to start to throw hands.

"I think its my time to step in." Demetri says and drags Hawk by his shirt before they cause a scene.

Both teenagers didn’t talk in between periods until after school , it was weird watching them fight over something stupid and he didn’t want to mention the blanket Hawk made Demetri carry the baby in . It was tiny birds all over and it was yellow.

Tory and Sam was a different story , the girls just wanted to pass this project but sometimes they forget their grades and end up arguing about simple things like who spent less time with rice or who was being a whiny short princess. That was mainly coming from Tory side.

Robby decided to name it if it was a girl, Luna, and Doug got to chose a boys name which he still didn’t know . The students needed to have two options because once they were handed a baby stimulator and Birth Certificate they would know the gender .

Mr.Rodriguez gave them a pep talk and started to call out the parents to pick up the baby and the certificate .

When Mr. Rodriguez had called out his last name and Doug had went up and recieved the box for the two of them, Everyone had started to open the cardboard box and examine the doll .

He watched Doug unboxed the baby and pull it out , in which was covered in simple white and blue blanket and had an instuction manual .

" i need to tell you something...," Scratching his temple, indecisive in how to tell Robby , he kinda fucked up . Robby raised his eyebrow in Dougs direction,

" Remember when i was joking about naming the baby Swayze ? "

"Doug please tell me you didn’t." Robby closed his eyes not ready for whatever next comes out of the boys mouth.

"I didn’t but you’re going to prefer it once you see the name i choosed ." Doug chuckled nervously.

Robby snatched the certificate out of his hand and read the font letters that clearly spelled out, Marshmallow Keene .

"Why would you name our kid marshmallow!." Robby yelled getting looks from the class and a disapproving look from the teacher . His shoulders shrunk.

"I forgot to pick a name because i had soccer practice and stayed up late playing video games online with Mikey and Hawk till midnight and when Mr.Rodriguez asked for the form i freaked out and all my mind could come up was you eating marshmallows in booty shorts ." He explained, panic written all over his face.

" Why would i eat marshmallows in booty shorts ?" Even saying it out loud sounded ridiculous to Robby.

"Why wouldn’t you ?" Doug ask making Robby actually pause to think about it for a second like it wasn’t crazy thought. I mean he could totally pull it off if he wanted to , Lately he’s been having a confidence boost. He does have a pair—

"Lets focus on the real problem Rickenberger." Robby shakes his head to snap out it and focus.The boy tries to hide his smile when he realize the short boy was actually thinking about it . Doug actually lied, there was a bag of marshmallows on the teachers desk.

“I mean I think marshmallow is a cute name. Kind of reminds me of you.” Doug cheerfully said with a cute grin . Cuteness never stopped Robby from wanting to commit murder.

“ I can’t believe I’m stuck with a baby that’s named after a sweet.”Robby grumps dropping his head into the desk.The desk makes a sound when his forehead touches the surface.

“ You should be happy I didn’t name it with something worse. ” Doug winces when the brunette kicks his leg. “At least I didn’t put something like Doug.”

“I think your name is cute.” Robby eyes widen at the words that slipped out without his consent. Doug looked surprised and tries to fight off the smile .

Robby looked a few tables ahead to not get distracted by the boy who is making him say things he is not ready to say.

He can see Tory and Sam discussing but it was more of Sam talking than the blonde since she was just staring with a unreadable look in her eyes.

That was different. He had to go back to that later.

The teacher warns Eli to calm down , the Mohawk boy seemed ecstatic like if the plastic dolls were really real . Which is creepy. Demetri didn’t look bothered or embarrass like last week , what was obvious was the heart eyes he was throwing at Eli.

He looks back at his partner who was intently reading the manual .His long fingers flipping the page over , He really has nice hands . He compared his hands with his . He wondered how can this big guy can seem so angry but in reality was like a … marshmallow ?

“And this is why we’re divorced !” Miguel shouts at Kyler making the whole class stare at their direction . Kyler tried to hide in his chair, slipping down to hide but it wasn’t working.

Reason like these , School should be shut down. They bring out the worst in them.

…

It didn’t take long for Rickenberger to notice Robby was upset with him. The pout more prominent, the constant eye rolling that sent to his directon, the tense jaw and the vigor steps that his short legs let him make.

So maybe he wasn’t putting his effort in this like he promised he would , it wasn’t like he was trying to ruin this for Robby, it was just hard to be serious when he has to carry a bag of rice meanwhile people around him act like it was truely a human baby.

It was only yesterday that he watched Miguel and Kyler argue in a way he never thought he would. It was like watching ping pong. Following the ball to one direction to the other.

“If I have to raise this baby by myself , I will !, Honey, I was raised by a strong single mother and I can be one too. I don’t need to depend on a guy to raise Marisol Guadalupe Diaz.” Miguel yelled making Kyler stunned. He finish by simply snatching the baby and walked away. Kyler looked lost and maybe in the brink of tears but still chased after Miguel .

He should probably talk with Tory.

……

“ That explains a lot . The guy been in a grumpy mood.” Says Tory after Doug finished. She was trying to make ‘Artemis’ burp. Sam was really proud in choosing the name which Tory found it really stupid and not at all endearing.

“My question is .” Pausing to adjust the baby,She continued ”When did you become so stupid. “

He would’ve felt offended but lately he’s been asking the same thing to himself.

“ What do you think i should do.” He avoids answering Tory .

“ You can ask the teacher if you could change the birth certificate. LaRusso convinced him when she had the dumb idea to name our baby “Theodora” . “

“ Well she probably was able to do it since everyone likes her Dad.”

“ Sam actually did it on her own and not by dropping the LaRusso card.” Tory was quick to Sam’s defense which made the boy raise his brow at that.

“ Oh it’s Sam not LaRusso “ Doug teased the girl and maybe for the first time Tory was blushing.

“ Oh shut up . Who names their kid Marshmallow.”

“ Who names their only child Theodora.”Doug shoots back.

“You got me there , I can’t defend her.”Tory shrugs .

“You admit you were defending her— OW!” He shouts when Tory throws the bottle at his head. She really has good aim.

Robby was over Doug naming the baby Marshmallow. As long the guy didn’t drop it or do any harm to it. The next day he was walking through the hallway looking for him .

He stops when he steps on a plushie. A phoenix plushie, to be exact. A pale hand reaches for it and yanks it from under his foot.

“ Dammit Robby!. I have to wash it now. Do you know how many germs it has now.” Hawk cried out. Demetri gave him a sorry look .

“Do you know how stupid you look.” Robby retorts. The guy had a baby wrap making him look ridiculous. Hawk mocked Robbys laugh and gave him a menacing glare which didn’t look terrifying , Hawk turn to whisper to Demetri. “Do I look dumb” — “Of course not, Honey.” Demetri whispered back without a beat.

“ Robby is right .Some us don’t need to try hard.” Miguel speaks up with a toothy grin and not to far behind Kyler had an expression like he wish the ground would swallow him up to disappear. He was carrying a pink baby car seat where the baby was placed and a bright pink diaper bag .

Robby was 3 seconds away in from bursting out of laughter.

“ You know Miguel , Maybe you should put all that energy in your co-parenting.” Hawk sneered back. Motioning with his fingers bunched up.This had been going on lately and it felt like everyone is on crack to Robby.

“ Maybe you should check in with your boy. It’s not all transparency ,Demetri hates the name Phoenix . “Miguel reveals, Demetri winces and made Eli gasp .

“Sorry Demetri “ Miguel apologize not even looking apologetic with that proud evil smirk.

“ I can’t believe this is happening .” Robby really can’t but maybe he can ,his friends are weird. Kyler looks like he feels the same.

“ Your right . Peoples true colors are coming out.” Hawk say dramatically. Miguel squints at him like he was a traitor.

“ To think I was going to ask you to be Marisol godfather.” Miguel confess with a dramatic tone of voice.

“ Really ?” Hawk ask surprised .

“ Of course dude . I couldn’t think of anyone else.” Miguel says truthfully making them both get emotional.The change of emotions almost gave Robby whiplash.

“ Dude your my first choice too.” Hawk lets out a smile and rushes to Miguel. Making the rest feel they were intruding.

They hug , Miguel being careful with Phoenix . Their grinning at each other when Demetri speaks up and sigh “I’m right here.”

Robby: need to talk. Where are you?

Doug: Learning how to clean with a tiny brush.

Robby: What?

Doug : Nothing. Meet me at my locker . I have a surprise .

Robby was glad he didn’t have to wait . The second he arrived in less than a minute Doug arrived with messy hair and a boyish smile . Wearing one of the baby backpacks and Robby is not willing to admit out loud but it kinda made his stomach flip at the sight.

Is not like Robby doesn’t want to accept he has feeling for the boy but he is trying to be single this year, no relationship that will just make him crumble down. He was focusing on fixing himself.

So that’s why he will keep these feelings in a box until further notice.

“ I fucked up. No surprise there. I gave you my word so here I am trying to make this up to you because I … ,” Doug cut himself off before he looks pathetic in saying he likes Robby . He can get a hint. Robby wasn’t into him. That’s fine.

This isn’t the time to have a mental breakdown.

“ I want to actually commit and do what I say. That’s why I asked Mr.Rodriguez for a redo.” Doug eyes are shining in hope wanting Robby to be less disappointed.

Handing over the sheet to Robby. Who reads it with disbelief ,his eyes widening in surprise and maybe a hint of happiness.

“ I thought we weren’t allowed to change . “

“ We are not but I pulled a few strings .” When he says a few, he’s lying. Mr.Rodriguez made him sign a slip in agreeing to clean the bleachers, the gym and the classroom after school. But hey ,what’s a little scraping gum under every desk when Robby is smiling up at him making him do crazy shit for this tiny guy.

He chooses to name the baby Nariyoshi in honor of Mr.Miyagi. When Daniel found out he got a look in his eye that made Robby feel he did the right choice. Doug liked the name and gave the baby a nickname , Yoshi.

Everyone had been calling the baby by Yoshi. The teacher thought it was from the Mario brothers character and Robby never in his life gave a full long speech on anything just to correct someone. And he does not regret a single second of those 30 minutes of his life.

Today Doug was coming over . Robby made sure to clean the whole apartment which thankfully wasn’t that big of a mess. His room wasn’t much since he recently moved in, the walls were bare , the bed was a twin size and a nightstand and a counter where he placed all his clothes . And a brand new desk made from scratch that his Dad made for him since he learned he liked to draw.

Everything was going well . Robby was coming back from a quick trip to the store to buy some drinks and snacks when baby Yoshi was wailing.It had been an hour and nothing seem to make the baby stop crying . He changed the diaper , fed him, burped, and swaddled but nothing seem to work .

Robby ears felt like they were going to pop. He tugged on his hair in frustration . “Why don’t you stop crying !!!” His lip wobble making him more frustrated. Robby wasn’t one to have a breakdown feeling pressured or frustrated so he tries taking deep breaths . But having a semi-new born was taking a toll on him. He felt drain.Robby hasn’t had a good 8 hours of sleep. He was not going to cry. He was not going to cry . He was not going to cry. He is a bad bitc- Fuck it ! ,he’s-going to cry.

Yoshi cried louder . And then there was knock at the door. Getting up from the floor , he rushes to open the door managing to trip over on his way with the remote control on the carpet. Swinging the door open , Doug winces at sound of Yoshi crying .

Robby lets out long exhale and flings himself to the boy making Doug stumble backwards. His hand were awkwardly hovering the short boy back who was burying their face in his chest and hands were gripping his shirt .

“He bjdjjdjdk crbhdjdkdk and I doljdhdj Knowggs what to do and now am dbbdjjdjdndnn.” Robby mumbles through the shirt not making any sense to Doug.

“ I didn’t catch a word you just said.” He said confused but it only made Robby stomp his feet and made a sad sound.

“How about we go inside and figure why both of my babies are crying.” He strokes Robby’s hair while the rubs soothing circles at his back.

Once inside , Robby wipes away the traitor tears and pulls Doug from his shirt to his room where the baby was. He told explain everything he did but still failed to make the baby to stop crying.

“ Have you tried a pacifier ?” The question made him dumbstruck as to why didn’t he think of that. Finding the pacifier and giving it to the baby and suddenly the cries were gone.

Robby sits down at the corner of the bed feeling quite stupid . He can’t believe he cried and in front of Doug. He flushed now thinking how childish he acted . He even stomp like a toddler. Get a grip of yourself , pretend that never happen. He called you baby.Climb that boy like you were starving koala wanting some eucalypt leaves. His mind said in a creepy way, sounding a bit like Miguel and Hawk.And being honest he is not taking any advice from those two.

Can you believe this dude?, Let’s go somewhere were they will appreciate are generous advice.

“ I think we might’ve lost a few points but we can make up the points with the days we have left.”

Yasmine? This was the first he mention her around him. And he was not jealous. Why would he . Doug can talk or like anyone he wants to.He’s going to keep it cool.

“ I didn’t know you were friends.”Robby cringed at how accusatory it sounded.

“I wouldn’t say we’re friends.” Doug had that smile Robby knew too well. It was the same one he used to give him when he would flirt with him. Thinking now , the tall boy stopped his usual flirting and calling him pretty boy.

“Whatever I don’t care. Lets go fill in our report.” Scoffing at the boy who was still smiling . He moves off from the bed and heads to living room . He brings his stuff to the kitchen table , Doug behind him follows his lead. Robby takes a chair and sits.

He side eyes Doug who takes a seat way to far and starts writing on the sheet of paper. He can’t help but notice the huge gap between them , a few weeks ago the guy would take the opportunity to be as close as possible.

His leg started to bounce and his hand shook his pencil back and forth while his eyes tried to stay glued on the sheet. Doug kept glancing at his phone every time it pinged alerting him he got a text.

“If it’s important you can answer.”

“ Nah it’s just Yasmine.”

Robby rolled his eyes and pushed out his lips in a pout in annoyance. Whatever he doesn’t care. What he does care is finishing this report and getting a good grade at this project.

After finally sharing their information and progress over the almost two weeks of having Yoshi , they placed their information on their report. He helped Doug pack and handed the baby over and everything he needed .

“I guess that’s it . Guess you can finally answer Yasmine now that your free even though you could of answered when I told you.”

“ I guess I prefer doing homework.Even if you cried all over me the second I arrived. Just know your an exception , Robby.”

“Robby?.”

“Don’t tell me you miss being called pretty boy ?” Doug chuckles at the boys eye roll .Amused at the silence from the short boy , he decides to go for it . Hoping Robby wouldn’t kick his ass after.Lunging forward and plants a chaste kiss on Robby check .

“See ya!” Walking backwards with that stupid smirk of his , Robby waits until he can’t see him to get back inside.

Robby only brings a hand to his face when he closes the door . It felt warm and tingly. Yeah he might have to revaluate his plan for this year.

Robby was fucked. And not in the way he imagined—He is spending way too much time with Hawk, he is getting sidetracked . The point is that his heart has betrayed him . He wasn’t dumb he knew the tall boy had snuck his way under his skin but it wasn’t to his knowledge that he manage to sneak his way to his blood pumping heart.

And it was all because of this damned project, because he spent 2 weeks with the guy he’s been pushing away and now it seems like he has to now fight Yasmine to have him. Ever since the day Doug had came over , Wherever he turned to look, Yasmine was hanging off of him .

Robby could’ve easily confronted both Doug and Yasmine but that was too easy so he did what he did best . He wallowed . For a one day. Ehh that’s a lie . Well the whole week when he realized Doug had been trying to cheer him up. So yes. He manipulated the guy to spend more time with him and just by pulling the saddest puppy eyes.

The guy took over his duties as parent and kept stealing flowers from the school office to cheer him up. And even brought him a rose that he bought when Robby subtlety mentioned no one has ever given him flowers. He showed it off to everyone-And when he says everyone he means Yasmine.

Whenever he catch the blondie coming his way he would pull Doug closer , throw the guy arm over his shoulder , he even hold his hand making the latter stumble over his words. And Robby would just smirk at Yasmine.

He maybe gotten on her nerves since she was now standing in front of him and pulled him away from his group of friends , Eli was fighting with Tory about who’s baby is the best and no one was trying to get in the middle of it. Miguel and Sam were slowing trying to slip away together. And Demetri was ready to call the principal on them.

“We need to talk.”

“Do we? Because I can’t think of anything that has to do with me and you . ”

“ I’m going to be nice, since your Demetri’s friend and Moon thinks I shouldn’t let bad vibes ruin my aura so… Tone down the attitude a bit. I’m not into Rickenberger , Athough last year me would’ve jumped at the shot but Moi is in a thriving passionate relationship with Moon.”

That kinda left him dumbstruck like a fish.

“What ?”

“Yeah, get on the news , peep squeak.”She says flickering her perfect hair away. Robby had to think for a second, to make sure he heard right.

Robby didn’t make any move . It was frustrating but he wanted to see if he let things flow all on its own. So that’s what he’d did. Their Co-parenting was going amazing even to the point Miguel was now throwing attitude towards him instead of Eli. And he kind of threw some back and as silly it seemed , it was funny to banter with his friends even it was about a fake baby.

The day before the last day of their project , He invited Doug over since they should spend their last day with the doll. Crazy as it seemed , he got a bit attached to it . He wondered briefly if Miguel or Eli would burst out crying tomorrow in class.

His Dad was on the couch with Daniel watching the tv , Top Gun was playing . His Dad was making snide commentary and Daniel nodded along pretending to listen when in reality he was paying more attention to Val Kilmer.

“I invited a friend to go over some minor details about the project.” Robby interrupts his dad, making Daniel send a smile at his way.

“No funny business alright . “Johnny faces Robby with a stern look.

“No promises.” Making Johnny do a double take.”I’m kidding.”He enjoys teasing his Dad .

He steps out and shuts the door behind him. And sits down on the stair step. Less than 5 minutes Doug arrives with the baby. He looks good. Even if he’s just wearing sweats and simple tee.

They don’t get to go inside. Doug starts telling him how Yoshi kept him and his family up all night. Robby notice the dark circles. And teases the guy about how it wasn’t as easy as it looked.

Doug talks about his baby brother who just turned 2 , and Robby is trying hard not to let it show by how he is smiling, that he might’ve fallen for him. The topic changes about their friends and how chaotic they have been the past 2 weeks.

“Miguel and Eli has been on my mind for way too long.”Robby grins as he controls himself to not burst out into laughter again.

“Don’t say that, It will make me jealous.”

“Trust me , I find myself thinking about you more times than I can count.” Robby smiles falter a smidge, knowing he went there.

Doug sheepishly smiles, “Oh really” And leans a bit forward. Robby wonders when did they got too close.

This would’ve been the moment for his first kiss with Doug. He just had to lean an inch closer and both of their lips would’ve been touching .Except Robby opened his mouth and words tumbled out .

“Why do you like me ?”

Doug brows furrowed and lips were parted but now cause of confusion. His shuts his jaw tight and fumble with the keys in his palm that slipped out. “Is there supposed to be a reason . Can’t I just like you.”

“ I guess it just means your just interested in my looks . As soon you will get bored , this silly crush will be over.” Robby insecurity gets the best of him. If the guy can’t tell him why he’s interested then it will just end up having his heart broken.

“You’re kidding right.” Doug is stunned. His eyes are wide like he’s been struck.

“No . Does it look like I’m laughing .” Robby says bothered.

“I don’t get you. You show no interest in me only when someone else does. You say that I’m not serious yet you play with my feelings and I allow it because I’m stupid enough to think that you will notice I’m sincere.” Hurt is written all over Doug’s face making feel Robby bad.

“That’s not my intention . It’s just hard to believe— “

Scoffing he interrupts him , “ Your compassion ,Robby.” Doug looks intensely at him,“Tory was failing history class , she was stressed for a week ,since the exam was near and it was her last hope . You helped her study and memorize dates, events and names , Even babysat her brother. “Robby shoulders fall already regretting what he said.

He continues, “You have a day solely for Demetri, you learn and read about his favorite comics and hang out with him so he won’t feel left out when his boyfriend hangs out with Miguel.” Doug looks down at his hands feeling shy making Robby stunned, “Your put your all to fix your relationship with your dad. To make up the lost time. You gives so much to everyone and I foolishly thought I could give it to you .” Doug voice turns into disappointment , like he was foolish to think that. Robby watches him spring up from the ground and leave.

“Doug!” Yelling his name doesn’t make him stop or turn around but it makes Yoshi cry. Making him sigh in defeat.He walks back in ignoring his dad questions.

Today was the day to turn in the babies in. The teacher would call out their names and the student would have to turn the baby in , along with the reports and essay of how if felt to be a parent . The day felt slow for Robby . It could’ve been the school hours , since time went by slow, or maybe , it was the fact the 6ft tall boy has been ignoring him like he was not there.

Robby wouldn’t have minded the peace and quiet if the events of yesterday didn’t occur . But no matter how hard he tried to concentrate on pretending to act like he was doing his work and actually doodling in his paper.

He actually paid attention on the other details he never focus on. Like how in sync Demetri and Hawk are, one does not make a move unless the other does. Tory and Sam are the opposite yet they made a better team than any one ever thought could be possible. Weirdly, Yasmine is more easier to be around when she is not trying to put up a front, He guess they can thank Moon for that .

Miguel and Kyler. That’s another situation. Miguel proved that Kyler isn’t the leader or this tough guy he is , since he was forced to do everything Diaz told him to do. It was quite funny.

Robby also notice he doesn’t have a pencil or a pen. Thinking clearly now, he never had one because he’d end up chewing it down to keep him from biting his nails. Doug always slipped him a pencil or those high priced pens that wrote smoothly and the ink didn’t smudge .

Or how when his antic of his leg bouncing stopped for a while. The taller boy would notice and tap his foot against his making him feel grounded.

Or maybe he was just thinking too much. Robby should focus on finding the equivalent of x and y or whatever your supposed to in math. Fuck , how did you do that again. What happen to the math problems where Pablo or Timmy had way too many watermelons.

Next period was it. It , being Mr. Rodríguez class. The teacher was giving the lesson, and Robby was sort of paying attention. Tory and him started playing tic tac toe and he is about to win for the third time.

He tries not too jump out of his seat when he wins and Tory does her best to muffle her giggles with her hand at his dance of victory in his seat.it more wiggles than dancing.

The whole class start talking when the teacher is pulled out of the class by another teacher. Robby wanted to keep playing tic tac toe but Tory had other plans.

“What’s going on with you and grumpy.” Her eyes flicker for a second to a few tables ahead.She knew the gist but she wanted Robby to tell her.

“We had an argument. He basically said he likes me and I told him , that what he felt was a fleeting crush that will go away.”Robby explains .

“You know, Swayze, If you don’t like the guy just tell him . You want me to do it for you.”Tory offers like the best person she is .

“It’s not that.” Robby sighed .

“Do you or do you not? Your giving me mixed signals .”Tory felt confused , she was now understanding the tall guy. Her friend was a confused mess.

“It was part of the contract when we agree to be friends.” They laugh as quiet as they could . They tend to laugh way to loud like hyenas.

“So can we talk about the thing you have for Sam or…”Robby teases making Tory punch his shoulder.

“What thing ? There is no thing. I just learned she isn’t what I used think about her and vice versa.” Tory said calmly , but she started biting her pen .

“If you say so.” Robby decided it was better left alone.

“Okay class , quiet down . Lets get back into your seats with your project partners.”Mr.Rodríguez clapped his hands and went behind his desk. Robby decided to go to the taller boy instead of the other way. Grabbing his papers , his bag and the project.

He waits for Mikey to get up , he smiles at the shorter male and tilts his head at the wave of the guy.Making himself comfortable as he can get with the plastic chair and the stuffy air that lingered with awkwardness .

“I-uh-, I want to apologize.”

“Don’t. It’s fine. It won’t be the first or the last time someone won’t reciprocate how I feel. I get it, you don’t like me in that way. “ Doug says dryly .

“Doug, That’s not-“

“Robby.” Cutting him off , Doug turns to him“It’s okay. Lets leave at that and not make into a big thing than it needs to.” He says it kindly this time.

Doug acted like everything was fined. They traded any last minute information , read each others reports and discussed about the project. No joke was said nor silly banter was thrown. When it was time to give back the baby, Robby felt upset. He had gotten attached to the fake baby like the rest of his classmates.

He was going to miss the sleepless nights, the constant crying, and the dumb excuses he used to have Doug around.

“Bye Yoshi. We’re going to miss you baby.” Robby voice cracked and handed the finished project over to the teacher who offered his a sympathetic smile. They went back to the table and maybe Doug saw him really upset because he places his arm at the back of his chair that he leaned into. It made him feel better.

The bell rang making everyone sprung out their desk and leave to lunch. Robby tried again to talk to boy , but he fled like a man on fire.

“So what was this fight about?” Eli ask, everyone head turn to look at Robby, who has been quite all lunch period.

“What do you mean? What fight?” Robby asked confused.

“You and Rickenberger “ Miguel chimed, a fry hanging out of his mouth and ketchup on his cheek that Sam was wiping away with a napkin. Tory stole a handful of fry’s from his tray.

“We’re not fighting.” Robby crossed his arms.

“Yeah right. The whole school even knows.” Sam scoffs , the rest nodded along .

“I think you all are way to invested in my life.” Robby said in concern . He thinks they need to put some space in their friendship , he even knows way too much that goes on with Demetri and Hawk. And Sam with Miguel. Or Tory and Sam.

“Oh please, is not like you are the most interesting person in the friend group to keep tabs. We just know because you and Tory can’t whisper for shit. “ Eli says making Miguel snort and Demetri chuckle.

“Shouldn’t you be crying over Phoenix .” Robby snarks making Eli dramatically gasp.

“Low blow Keene, that’s still fresh for everyone.” Miguel said shaking his head in disappointment . “I miss my baby Marisol “ he mutters sadly.

“We’re going off track , let’s go back to Robby and Rickenberger.” Tory stirs the conversation back.

“I think we all collectively want you to stop being mopey and all …” Demetri trails off and points at him being slumped over his seat.

Robby sat there and listened with an open mind knowing his friends they probably created something wild.

The next day he walked into school with slight puffy eyes since last night he stayed up all night with those dorks that he called friends.

Miguel and Eli actually spent the whole time reminiscing about the ‘babies’, worse thing Sam, Tory and Demetri slowly joined in too. And Robby actually confessed he really missed Yoshi.

But aside from that , Tory and Sam picked out an outfit . Miguel and Eli gave him a few pointers on what to say . Demetri told him not to take anything serious that came from their mouths.

Robby was nervous as hell. Is was like 90 degrees today, he was wearing all black including the leather jacket , he forgot the words to the speech he had plan to tell Doug, and he was running on 5 hours of sleep.

Luck was not in his side today, since he hadn’t been able to find Doug. He either skipped classes he shared with Robby or he didn’t come to school .

After walking around campus and not one trace of the latter , he was giving up. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Just because now that Robby wanted to be with Doug , doesn’t mean Doug wants to be with him now.

With a frustrated sigh, he whips out his phone. Sending a text to the group chat that he was backing out.

Robby waited. And waited. The school bell rang and the hallways flooded with tennagers trying desperately to flee fast as possible .

Robby stayed back until it cleared. He wasn’t in the mood to be pushed to the ground or having his shoulders knocked over.

Robby waited 5 minutes to collect his bag and notebooks and left the class. He saw no signs of blonde locks, a Mohawk, curly brown or ebony hair .He told them it was a lost cause.

Squinting his eyes when the sun hits directly at him , he covers his face with his notebook . And there he was. There was no mistaking him.

His almost 6 feet self, wearing his signature red hoodie, his backpack had a sticker in pink letters ‘babygirl’ that Hawk sticked at the right bottom . Robby tried moving his legs but they seem stuck .

Doug was not alone . He was with another boy. He looked familiar but Robby couldn’t remember where he seen him. The boy had blonde hair that was pulled into two braids and was wearing a lace top that was see through.

Robby knows the school rules of clothing and that boy was breaking them. He was also short , the boy probably thought he looked cute having to look up at Doug.

Robby unglued his shoes when he sees the blondie placing a hand on Doug’s forearm .

“I can go.”The blonde guy offers kindly and Doug tries to stop him but that was not happening on his watch. The guy could look for another 5’11 guy.

Doug shoots him a glare. He waits until the guy is out of earshot .

“Well I can’t change schools , you short stack of pancakes !”Doug voice raises making few heads turn to them.

“Lower you voice , giraffe. I don’t want the whole school to hear us!”Robby fights the urge to scream back and stomp his foot. But he was in public he had control himself.

“You seriously can’t be jealous right now .”Doug said incredulously .

“I can if I want to .”Robby was determined and he was not giving up without a fight. He knows the last time Doug told him Robby only tries to show his feelings when he was jealous but this time he is going to confess. But his tall guy didn’t know which drove him crazy.

Doug screams in frustration and turns around to leave but he comes to a halt seeing Miguel, Hawk, Sam, Demetri and Tory blocking his way.

“Can you guys move”

“No can do , amigo .”Hawk says unapologetic but still offered him a thumbs up for good luck.

“You have to deal with this this today we are tired of seeing you guys do a terrible job of being in love “ Miguel sighs wanting this to be over . He was starving .

“Just listen , Rickenberger. Your not going to get hurt , trust me.” Tory try to reassure him. Maybe the guy was avoiding Robby because he was tired of getting his heart broken from Robby’s multiple rejections. Understandable but he is not this time.

“I’m here. Go on.”Doug deeply sighs like it hurt him . He stood looking at him patiently. There was a couple of seconds of awkward silence. Doug raised his brow in question.

“I had this speech prepared—“ Hawk coughs , Robby rolls his eyes ,” We had this speech prepared. And I don’t know if you would love it or hate it. I can’t tell you it because the moment I saw you with that guy it immediately erased from my brain.”

“Robby , I know that I told you no matter how many times you reject me I wouldn’t give up but I think I can’t take another.”Doug frowns and fidgets .

“Just wait here” Robby pleaded.

Robby waited for Doug to nod so he could run off inside the school. He couldn’t understand why the words couldn’t come out. Why he couldn’t blurt out the words that screamed out , ‘I like you!’ . So he did what he did. He ran back in .

He dodged a couple that he almost toppled over and he accidentally hit his shoulder on the locker when he took a turn. Robby was panting like a dog when he was in front of the office. Walking in he smiled seeing everyone was occupied , sneaking to the front desk where the flower vase stood, beautiful fresh sunflowers waiting for him to be picked. Stolen, borrowed , or whatever you want to call it.

Having the flower in hand , Mrs. Gomez made eye contact with him and flashing her his best smile Robby ran the fuck out of there. Walking out the exit , he wasn’t as graceful and missteps a stair and went tumbling down.

That was embarrassing. He makes a whining noise when he notice he kind of crushed the sunflower. Fuck.

“Shit! Robby are you okay?Is something hurt?” Doug shouted , running up to help him while his friend laughs but stopped to glare whoever were laughing that weren’t them . At least they got his back on that.

“My pride .” Robby wince feeling his back scream at him for moving since he landed on his back .

“Here. Do the thing.” Robby shoves the flower in Doug’s hand . And waited with a pained expression.

“What thing?”

“The thing. Your thing.” Robby huffs impatiently he did not almost break his back for the guy can’t remember about their moment.

“Robby ….” Doug look so confused , he looked behind his shoulder to get help from them but they were useless .This was not part of the plan.

“Tell me what you told me when we first assigned as partners .”Robby nervously reminds him making the latter snort.

“Here ,” Doug breaks the long stem and places the flower behind his right ear, he gives him a wobbly smile feeling embarrass ,” A pretty flower for my pretty boy .”

This time Robby doesn’t blush nor pushes down his feelings. Okaaaaaaay, maybe a little, but he will blame it in the sun.He’s the one to take a step closer “You better shut your mouth, Doug.” Robby tried to fight off the smile but seeing Doug flush and smile bashfully just is driving him crazy.

“How about use those damn lips to keep me quiet ." Doug finally pulls out his cocky smirk from that day. No trace of shyness from second ago .

“Okay. If that’s what you want.” Robby shrugs nonchalant and leans up to kiss him . Doug froze but kiss backed , thank God because it could’ve been weird just him doing the kissing.

He thought of slipping his tongue and all but Robby thinks it better like this , especially if people were still watching them. Maybe recording them. He wraps his arms around Doug’s neck and feels being pulled in closer and hands on his waist to host him up . Wrapping his legs around Doug hips he hears his friends cheer.

“Omg my seduction plan worked! Told you that leather jacket is the shit!!”That sounded like Miguel.

“You climb that boy, Robby, like your a starving koala wanting some eucalypt leaves.” Hawk yells , Miguel laughter sounds way too close with how loud he sounds.

Robby pulls away in bewilderment and ask Doug,” You heard that too , right ?”

“The seduction or the koala part.” Doug laughs and his pink lips distract him , Doug puts him down and hugs him close.

“I think I need some time apart from them.”

“From who?” Hawk comes up from behind scaring Robby. Tory slaps the back of Hawks head .

“From you and Miguel.” Robby chuckles watching the two boys reaction.

“Fine we’ll find someone who appreciates us , let’s go , dude.” Miguel sasses . Demetri and Sam pull them aside to give him and Doug a minute. Robby looks at them , they really are in his head.

“I’m really happy.” Doug says bringing him back . He grins and leans up again to kiss him. Yeah, he’s not getting tired of kissing him.

“I hope so because I think Hawk has a video of me tripping so it better be worth it. And the school might call my dad today.”

“They caught you stealing . ”

“Shut up and just kiss your boyfriend .”

“Whatever my pretty boy wants.” Doug swoops in and making him breathless . Who needs air? Not Robby. But he can’t have his moment because Hawk interrupts him .

“Sorry to interrupt but we deserve some pizzas after getting you guys together.”

“That is the package deal of dating Robby Keene, you got to carry us around.” Tory winks , the rest make noises of agreement . He lets it pass, the nerves made him hungry so he led them lead the way as hold his boyfriend hand.

Doug has never seen his wallet emptier before but he guess he has to get a job after today.

The moment Robby open his eye , he groans. The blaring alarm is already causing him a headache . He debates on throwing his phone against the wall but decides not since is kind of hanging by a thread. He really has to get a new phone.

His bed is telling him to stay in and sleep but he throws the blanket aside and goes to the bathroom to get rid of his cotton mouth.

Dressed and ready to go to school he grabs his bag and goes into the kitchen where he finds Daniel with a box of donuts . Yes!

“Where’s dad ?” Robby ask before he takes a huge ass bite of a donut . It’s bad manners but Daniel has gotten used to it. He shoves the other half in his mouth and steals Daniels coffee .

“Still acting like a child !” Daniel yells the last part for Johnny to hear. Johnny shouts something incoherent back.

“I can’t believe he is jealous over Iceman.” Robby gives back Daniel’s cup . He didn’t get his dads obsession on hating that movie. Robby actually liked the movie and the hot RIO ,Slider.

Daniel pushed the box towards him and Robby happily grabbed another donut. They were fucking good. He could probably eat half a dozen. Or maybe a dozen if he puts his mind to it.

“You want a ride to school , Johnny is taking Miguel , Hawk, Sam and Tory . Carpooling .”

“Not really big fan of being squished in but I rather do that than walk.”

Johnny drops them off and bid his goodbye . They dusted off and wiped their faces from any remains of donuts.He ditches them when he sees Doug waiting for him at the entrance.

His boyfriend pulls him in for a kiss and throws his arm over his shoulder and walks him to his locker. Robby was stupid trying to not admit his feelings for the guy. Having a boyfriend is the best, it’s actually kind of the same how Doug would treat him except now he lets the tall boy kiss him and sometimes,sometimes , grab his butt .

It feels like deja vu when he’s in 4th period . He’s hunched over his desk drawing in his notebook a cartoon version of him and Doug holding hands. Robby couldn’t pay attention to Ms.Casado, she was the drama teacher and was substituting Mr.Rodríguez class . Turns out his wife was expecting and had asked for two weeks leave and since he’s good friends with the principal , it was granted.

That’s what he gets for making them underage parents. He has to endure what he put them all.

Tory was snoring away not even bothering to be discreet . He doubts Ms.Casado will notice since she’s busy introducing herself—including her childhood.

Upfront he can see Demetri and Hawk deep in conversation and kissing in between. Hawk is still kicking the boy chair but Demetri is unbothered .

Miguel calls Demetri and Hawk with his phone out to take a selfie. When Miguel points the phone towards him , he makes a peace sign and sticks out his tongue .

Finishing his drawing , he shuts his notebook and starts whispering Sam’s name. When she didn’t turn around he rips a paper out Tory’s notebook and crumbles it and throws it at her head.

“What!?” She hisses and throws back the paper that lands on Tory disrupting her shut eye.

“Watch it.” Tory glares at them making them laugh.

“Switch with me.”

Sam rolls his eyes and gets up. The teacher had moved them around and Sam had gotten the seat he wanted. Next to his boyfriend .

“You’re really ditching me .”Tory grins .

“We had a baby , that doesn’t go away. Luv you !” Robby smirks and ruffles her hair and leaves .

“Hey.”

“Hey.” Robby says softly and kisses Doug . “I missed you , bunny.” He scrunches his nose which Doug plants a peck making him smile.

“Missed you too, Pretty boy .” Doug mumbles ,his face burried into the side of his neck making him ticklish.

Robby is showing him the drawing when Ms.Casado shouts “Project Time.” She ask Demetri to handout a big wad of sheets of paper that could easily break his arm.

“You’ll all audition for a play ! There’s a list of options you can choose !” She announced with too much excitement , when the class begins to mutter their displeasure , her smile turns sharp “It will be graded. Keep quiet now and read your lines.”

The class turns silent.

Robby stops reading . He is not doing this he rather he get handed back Yoshi and deal with the craziness that came with having his friends having a fake baby.

Sam sends a text to the group chat.

Sandwich: Memorize all the lines to Grease. We’re going to kill this.

Robby eye twitches and looks at Doug who is looking at him in horror when he opens his mouth , “Have you seen Dirty Dancing or Grease?”

“Baby, Pretty boy , the love of my life, I’d rather get a F than to act.” Doug looked deadly serious. He really didn’t want to do this. Nothing was going to get him on that stage wearing tights or nada. He’d rather jump off a bridge before bright caught dead on that stage.

Robby hums .

“By the law of my middle name I have to. So unless you want me be paired up with someone else and let someone kiss—“

“Are you trying to manipulate me?” Doug looked at him surprised.

“Is it working?” Robby asked.

“Yes.” Robby smiles proudly at his cute boyfriend . Well he has to get started on Grease. Having his mom play Dirty Dancing is really paying off.

Sidenote: it took me awhile to finish this. I left an open ending , since in school there’s always doing projects lol. I hope you guys like this . I kinda ship Sam and Tory but also Sam and Miguel, so I kind of left it open for you guys to interpret . If I ever pick this up again I might have to pick a ship unless I make it a poly. But idk. I also had to throw in some lawrusso and some Top Gun because I’m obsessed . Gotta throw in some love to Iceman and Slider lol.

I added Yasmine and Moon because I like that ship too. I had to have some parallels to the first part of Baby Project. And also because I was listening to Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo. Every time I write Miguel , I give Xolos personality lol.

Hope you like it !Sorry for taking to long , i had to figure out how to do something. You already know lol , It's a bit different how you asked but just a bit.

...

Robby Keene . The most beautiful human being he seen to walk the world . Doug remembers seeing him for the first time he had long blonde hair that reached to his refined jaw, a pair of green eyes that hypnotised you within a second and a perfect ass .

He told himself he was just admiring the beauty but soon enough he was falling for the beautiful angel. Robby is different from anyone he met before, he has a big heart that always cares for the ones around him and not like others willing to step on others to get what they want or need.

Somehow, the universe or God himself granted him a miracle for Robby to like him back which honestly he prayed every night for and now he give thanks for having Robby .

Which sounds ridiculous to Robby when he told him and laugh his cute little butt off. And Doug just watched and fell more in love with him because beauty aside Robby personality was truely transparent and real making him enamoured .

Doug knew him like the palm of his hand like how Robby knows how to tap dance, still enjoys watching cartoons and he likes taking his time to fold his clothes perfectly becuase it leaves him anxious if he doesn't . And when Robby is angry his nose tend to scruch up or tend to tilt his head to think making him resemble a puppy.

He didn't have no cons in dating Robby , he gets to kiss him , hold him and hug his boyfriend. Loves to hear Robby rant about a fact that he recently learns in one of his books and enjoys their quiet time alone when their both laying down with the sunlight overshadowing and when Robby draws and he listens to music that has lyrics that fits perfectly for his little short boyfriend.

.... Except one tiny problem, The level of Doug jealousy rises up way too high . Unwelcoming eye's that follow the short guy movements , when he's wearing a shirt one size smaller showing off his biceps or tight jeans that makes his ass look fantastic and really drive Doug crazy and unfortunately to others too.

Which resulted the main topic of their fights when Doug can't control and start to assert his dumb dominance as Robby once said.

Doug liked sharing depending at what context , he likes sharing his knowledge about stuff he knows , sharing advice , sharing his time to help other's -his mom raised him right- But one thing he is not willing to share is his boyfriend . Robby is off limits hence why he's outside the principal office with a bruise eye and bloody knuckles .

It's Monday the worst day to ever exsist on earth . Waking up is even harder for today and he has to keep an eye open until hes fully awake . His phone rings making him jump slightly , reaching for it he almost falls off the bed.

Marco is picking us up . Be ready .

Mikey text just makes him groan. Marco was new to school and made Doug's day a shitty one .The guy annoyed him even just by spending a minute in his presence. Marco is 5'8 tall ,blue eyes and ebony hair who acts like a pretentious dick that is always making little comments about how cool or awesome he is or talking shit about everyone to impress people with his 'bad boy attitude' which he disliked alot.

He will even admit back then he acted like Marco but he is proud to say he is no longer that person but a better version that Robby made him be. Doug 2.0

He only hanged out with Marco because of his best friend Mikey who felt bad for the guy being new and all. Mitch didn't even like the blue-eyed boy and told his boyfriend Mikey to ditch the guy.

On the drive to school he listens to Marco boost about a chick he banged yesterday and his plan to sleep with the girls hotter friend to which Doug rolled his eye everytime the asshole open his mouth .

"Dude , can you not ." Doug groan for the 5th time . Mikey gave him a look of regret.

" Shit , Man! Don't worry i can hook you up with a hot chick . There's plenty to share" Marco laughs like a hyena and pats his shoulder like if they were friends .

If he was -not a chance-but if he was, Marco would've remembered that Doug had mentioned he has a boyfriend.

Keep your hands off of me Asshole. Doug simply ignores him and turns to look at Mikey who has the same disgusted expression .

He would trade to spent an hour hearing Anthony talk about his not-so-friend Kenny than to be near the douchebag . Robby should be proud of him for dealing so calmly in this situation.

As fast as he can, he leaves behind Marco with Mikey along with him . And tells him he's never getting a ride from him again. To which his short friend agrees .

Walking to Robby's locker he catches people staring at his boyfriend and glares at them menancingly when they catch his eye.

" You live up to your name , Pretty boy ." He comes up behind him placing his hands at Robby's waist . He kisses his neck and one last one to his hair which was soft and silky .

" Thank you i try ." Robby turns around making Doug breathless because his baby is hot. Even if he is just wearing a simple blue shirt and jeans .

" We are having lunch with the squad if that's alright with you ." Robby said , leaning up to fix the collar of Doug shirt and fluffing out any wrinkles .

" I thought we -mainly me - were banned from the lunch table for and i quote, 'showing to much pda making them sick to their stomachs' ,'Looking at your significant other does not qualify as eye fucking near our food' or how about 'Robby Keene that hand better not be near his d-'," Robby hand covers his mouth quickly to which Doug laughed coming out muffled .

Maybe they did get to handsy sometimes and Robby friends complain about which wasn't fair he seen Eli and Demetri go way to often to the janitors closet or made sexual innuendos real often atleast he and his pretty boy had decency to find an empty classroom.

Robby never even went near his dick . Atleast in school. Robby had dignity .

Removing Robby's smaller hand giving it a kiss to the back of his palm . "Tory and Demetri agreed to not complain if we try to contain ourselves." Robby says, smiling at the proposition of his friends.

"Whatever you say , Im game."

He smile's at Robby who looks happy at his answer and turns back to face the metal door of the locker . Doug waits patiently for Robby to grab what he needs to walk him to class.

Doug should really get an additional sense to know when he is going to fuck up to avoid situations to not make a fool out of himself .

Because at this rate Robby is going to break up with him over his jealous tantrums.

This dude comes up to them , more like to Robby , because the guy is not even looking at his direction and completely ignoring him .

" Hey Robby !" The long limbs cheerfully says, a smile so big that it made Doug wonder if it hurt his face.

" What's up man." Robby smiles back looking a bit suprised at the guy .

"I just wanted to give back the sweater you lend me ." The boy outstretched his hand to give back the sweater. Robby made a confused face until he sees it coming into realization.

"Right !, No problem dude." Robby says, reaching for that stupid sweater and making their hands touch for way to long making Doug be a dick.

It was a simple interaction that made Doug tick . With how friendly the guy was and it wasn't just the guy ignoring his presence or how close he stood to Robby .

Ok maybe it was . It totally was and maybe if he took a second to do those stupid breathing exercise Robby advise him(More like demanded), Doug would've notice the guy was one of Mikey's friend and Chris.

" If your done wasting our time you can leave now ." He snaps at the poor kid which at the time he wasn't to Doug . Making the boy widen his eyes in suprise .

" Yeah s-sorry , i didn't-" The guy stutters making Doug slightly feel bad.

"Go! ." Doug cuts him off in a threatening tone in which made the boy scurry off probably not hearing Robby apologizing.

"What the hell was that !" Robby demands angrily.

" What ?"

" Don't what me. Why did you treat him like that ? He didn't do anything to offend you or did he ?" Robby ask not to happy , his brows furrow and his nose scruching up.

" He did actually . He was being to friendly and acting like i was a painting on the wall ! The guy clearly needed to be reminded you have a boyfriend." He argues back which just made his boyfriend more angry . He should really keep his mouth shut .

" You're my boyfriend but it doesn't give you the right to treat my friend like crap. Frankie is cool and your going to apologize to him unless ...," Robby warns him , slamming his locker shut and stomping his cute short legs away from him .

Huffing he runs up to Robby and throws his head back knowing he once again fucked up ."Do you want me to go right now or walk you to class." He ask to which he gets a silent response . He nods to himself and walk back to find Frank and if he doesn't he's in big trouble.

After looking for Frank like. a lunatic and apologize a few times just in case a certain puppy comes sniffing around.

And he guess Robby forgave him since Tory told him that he was given the green light to sit with them again in lunch.

Doug to his bad luck can't seem to find his phone where he clearly left it in his locker after second period , rummaging through it as fast as he can to not be near Marco presence.

The guy can not take a hint when he is not wanted . Doug had enough of wanting to throw hands to Frank(Which he regrets thinking about it) and now hearing this dude just breath made him just mad.

" Im not into dudes but man , this guy is mad pretty and a nice ass . I got to sit next to him and man you know me i threw my shot and i can tell he was into me." Marco stupid blue eyes gleamed like he won the grand prize.

"Rickenberger, you know people you have to get me his number -" Said Marco like if they were bestfriends and smiled so excited.

Ready to tell him to fuck off but stops himself when he remembers what Robby told him, to try to calm down and not let his anger get the best of him.

Taking a deep breath he shrugs the hand off his shoulder ." Dont get me involve with your shit . "

"Here he come's " Marco looks behind him and is already puffing his chest and bringing his smug smile to his face.

Turning his head to look, the color of his face drains because the asshole is looking at no other than Robby . Who is smiling brightly and for a second he thinks hes smiling at Marco until his short boyfriend is standing infront of him .

" What's taking you so long? Hawk is alreading complaining and Tory is ready to come kick you ass for taking your time." Robby chuckles with his cute big eyes waiting for him to answer. Clearly not mad at him anymore.

" I couldn't find my phone ."

" I have it , D . You let Tory borrow it to use the calculator then she gave it to me ." Robby reaches for his hand to hold it . His hand feels warm and soft against his rougher ones .

He's cut off by Marco that he forget even exsisted ."Hey Cutie , I forgot your name . Im your partner for chem." Saying in a flirty tone.

" Right. It's Robby ." His smile falters and steps a bit closer to him but drops his hand not wanting another incident like in the morning.

" Robby! Now i have a name to remember you by other than your cute face." Marco badly flirted making Doug blood boil.

" You know Doug? ." Robby ask , the smile now gone and his face expressing akwardness. Knowing Doug he would've exploted by now making Robby question why he was so quiet.

" Were friends " He loudly says while giving him a side hug which Robby could tell how the taller boy winced from having him close.

Robby knows by how Doug is clenching his jaw that he does not like this guy and tries to cut the conversation to leave the lockers and go find their friends before it escalates.

"Well we got to go . Its always nice to meet my Boyfriend friend's ." Robby gave him a smile and tugged at Doug shirt to leave who gladly smiled and closed his locker .

Ready to walk a way until Marco leans up to mutter to Doug with that evil smile.

" Your boy got the best ass . Congrats."

One second he just trying to remember the breathing excercise and then he just mentally says fuck it and went beserk .

He throws marco to the floor and throws his right fist into his face and knock his teeth in to make him shut the fuck up .

He might have to go to Mr.LaRusso for better help on that.

Now he is quietly sitting down with the sound of keyboards and the copying machine beeping . His mouth taste like metalic from his busted lip and his eye hurting like a bitch and his knuckles stinging a bit .

Uncleching his hand he hisses from the pain to fix his icepack . The door swings open and Marco steps out head low along with his parents who leave the office. Without a word the principal signals him to come in .

He gets suspended for a week and the principal calls it a day and his parents are clearly upset with him . He texts Robby through his mom phone having his number memorized and hoped he wasn't mad at him.

He never gets a response and his mom snatches her phone away.

Parent's gives him a lecture and their disappointed expression made him feel like shit but he didn't regret anything.

His mom bandage him up and sends him to his room and he lays there for hours. He springs up from the bed at the sound of the door opening , Robby is standing at the doorway looking at his black eye and a frown on his lips.

He look down on his lap now feeling regret for giving in to his anger instead of controlling it .

Might as well admit he fucked again .

"Im sorry . It's okay if your mad at me because i didn't listen to you about controling my anger and letting my jealousy get the best of me ." He apologizes with his gaze still on his hands that were wrapped .

" Im not mad , Dee . The guy deserved it but you can't go beating the crap out everyone that looks my way . I don't get why you let it get to you ." Robby reaches for his arm and he semi interlace their hands not wanting to hurt him.

" You're really going to make me say it Robby look at me and look at you . " He says upset .He huffs knowing he has to say it clearly by the confuse expression Robby had .

" Robby you realise you could do much better than me. You're more than beautiful, You're the most talented person I've ever met , And you're dating a guy that has problems , Not the most intelligent or has any fucking idea what to do with his future . So yeah , I get jealous by every girl or dude that looks at you because i know they can see the person im in love with and i fear that you can see who i really am . A guy out of your league." He scoffs feeling his eye water and the embarrasment he felt bubbling up his stomach for showing his feelings. He brings a hand to wipe away the tears to prevent them from falling.

How much more can he make himself feel pathetic.

"Doug, Listen closely. Im not with you because i have no other choice or just to pass the time. Im in love with You ,A guy that is not only hot , Sometimes a dick but try to be better, Who listens to me and knows when i need a shoulder to cry on . I love you , Doug Rickenberger even if you're stupidly tall ." Robby say looking into his eye's, Green and Brown meet , He nods in understanding because he knew if he spoke his voice would crack and let out a sob .

"Make me some space." Robby orders. Moving his hands out of his lap , Robby sit sideways on his lap and wraps him arms his shoulder and hugs him.

Doug bury his neck and tighten both arms around Robby . Letting out sigh he says,"I promise to not make another outburst."

"No more talking , How about i heal you with kisses." Robby offers with a cheeky smile .

Tory and Robby had ditch school to join Doug to the beach since school wasn't really on their top priority. Both him and Tory layed on the towels basking in the sun and the fresh air.

Robby felt relax , Humming to a song that kept replaying in his head which he couldn't find out where he heard it before.

Raising up to sit , He searches for his boyfriend who was know where in sight. He looks down at Tory who seem like she was close to falling asleep , nudging her awake she jumps slightly.

"What?"Tory says annoyed , fixing her sunglasses and hair out of the way.

"I can't find Doug. Let's go find him." Standing up and dusting off the sand that manage to get on him.

"Calm down , He's over there with Jenny."Tory points over to a group of teenagers .

"Jenny ? Who's Jenny ?" Robby ask confused , He still looking at the girl who is quite frankly wat too close to Doug. Did she not know personal spance?

"Maybe we should go over there. Get up !" He yells seeing the girl pulling Doug away from her friends .

" Robby are you really going to pull a Rickenberger ?" Tory ask, Knowing him really well that Robby eye's read Jealousy.

Robby huffed at the blonde and in return Tory made a face saying Im-Serious.He and Doug have heard their friend joked about Pulling-a-Rickenberger when someone got jealous . Doug didn't care he thought it was funny.

" You know what, Let's just lay down."

Tory laughs but lays down and places her sunglasses down and lets out a sigh . Robby closed his eyes and relaxed.

"1 , 2, And -," Tory sings , Robby didn't even notice to busy thinking .

He was not jealous. He's in a strong and healthy relationship in where they now both trust each other and Doug only has eye's for him. Not to be cocky but he is way more hotter than 'Jenny'......... Fuck it.

He jumps up and walks over to where Jenny was practically leeching off of Doug.

" - 3!" Tory raises her glasses and shakes her head in amusement. Reaching for her phone and takes pics of the situation and sends it to the groupchat and with a simple caption . She heads over there to help Rickenberger stop Robby trying to do the Crane kick on her.
