The Movies I watched in 2019 / Part 1

Where I list all the movies I have watched so far, and what I thought of them, in as few words as I can.

The Rampant: A good looking period drama with some zombie action. Nothing too much outside the box, but enjoyable.

The Incredibles 2: I liked it. It met my expectations. I don't love it as much as the first one tho.

Royal Tailors: It took me two tries to finish this one. I like the clothes and the actors. Not super into the plot.

A Simple Favor: I surprisingly loved this one. It kept surprising me.

The Favorite: We are half way through the year now and yet this might just end up as my favorite movie of 2019. Fabulous in every way.

Dumplin: An adorable and a true feel-good movie about female friendship.

Robin Hood - Men in Tights: Not as funny as I remembered.

Swing Kids: A bit too long and an odd mix of a serious war-drama, comedy and then some dance.

Mary Queen of Scotts: A good costume drama. I expected to love it more though.

Shoplifters: A lovely little movie about a found-family. Hits all the rights spots. Stunning.

Burning: BOOOOOORING. Way to long and nothing happened.

How to Train Your Dragon 3: I cried. I love this franchise so much. Just a really good fantasy movie.

Searching: I liked the format of it and how it was told. It added something to the story.

Captain Marvel: I liked it a lot. I thought Brie was lovely in the role. Just a good pop-corn / superhero movie that I could see myself watching again.

Ixcanul: Stunning little film from Guatemala. The story was incredible.

Lady J: Lovely costumes, boring story.

The Lady in The Van: I loved following these characters around for a bit.

Dear Ex: I feel like I zooned out of this movie quite a lot. I guess I didn’t care all that much what happened.

Iron Man: I had forgotten that I actually kinda enjoyed the first Iron Man.

Captain America 1: I find the Cap movies quite enjoyable, not matter how many times I watch them.

Thor 1: It was fine, just like last time.

Captain America 2: Still one of my fav Marvel Movies.

Unicorn Store: A odd movie, but in a good way.

The Perfect Date: A okay rom-com. Nothing special.

Avengers 2: Still pretty meh tbh.

Into The Spiderverse: People were right. This movie was a joy to watch. And it looked so damn cool.

Thor 3: This one holds up no matter how many times I watch it.

Avengers – Endgame: I am still processing it. Still a bit mad that it didn't make me cry. After 10 years of consuming Marvel movies this one should have made me cry.

On Chesil Beach: I hated the main guy so so much.

Blackkklansman: Wow, what a movie. An incredible story.

Booksmart: One of the best movies I have seen this year. I loved it so much. I laughed out loud in the movie theater, which doesn't happen that often. I would watch it again (and again).

Aladdin: Never owned it on VCR so I didn't watch it often as a kid. It doesn't hold the same nostalgia as some of the other disney movies. But I thought it was very cute.

Last thing I Googled: How many times do you feed a cat every day! We’ve never had a cat before, and I roommates and I are a little lost
