So, in Brazil Rock In Rio news, Green Day and Maneskin manifested against president Jair Bolsonaro during their concerts in the festival.
Green Day altered the lyrics to their song 'Holiday', which originally denounces the authoritarianism and bellicose behavior of the United States government. An excerpt depicts a message from a “California representative” to American soldiers in the rest of the world, in which he greets them with a Nazi greeting and transfers an order from the President of the United States to bomb the Eiffel Tower, as punishment to the French for criticizing the USAmerican government. At Rock in Rio, the “representative of California” was replaced by a “representative of Brazil”. Furthermore, Billy Joe wrapped himself in a Brazil flag that read "No racism, no fascism, no sexism" and, when hearing the crowd chanting "Ei, Bolsonaro, vai tomar no cu!" ("Hey, Bolsonaro, fuck you!"), he shouted "That's how we do it in Rio, baby!"
On another concert, Maneskin vocalist Damiano David was hearing the crowd chanting the same thing, and asked "Is this against Bolsonaro?", which got a positive reaction from the audience. He then giggled and said "Fora Bolsonaro!", in Portuguese, making the fans euphoric.
