Outfit Ranking Season 2!!!
Here is a link to part 1
We will not rank the outfits that were already ranked in Season 1 and that also appear in Season 2. We will just look at them again because why not? Lets get them out of the way.
Dive suit Rate: Awesome
Tumblr media
Mumbai outfit Rate: Sexy
Tumblr media
Jammies Rate: Comfy
Tumblr media
Red Hoodie Rate: Cool
Tumblr media
Red Coat Rate: Hot!
Tumblr media
Now that we have seen the already seen awesomeness. Let's get into it.
Number 7: Hospital gown!
...does it count?
Tumblr media
I mean, quite unfortunate to be in a hospital. But at least they let her keep her makeup? Cmmon! Those lips are way too red to not be make up. The nurses were like: She's frozen but that doesn't mean she can't be glamorous.
Number 6: Training outfit.
Tumblr media
Always protect the face. She will break yours while looking awesome.
Tumblr media
Did you notice that triangles are a common thing on her clothes? Should we make a conspiracy theory about it?
Number 5: Russian outfit
A spectre is haunting Europe — the spectre of communism the Red Ghost! привет Comrade Carmen!
Tumblr media
She looks fashionably warm!
Number 4: Model dress.
Tumblr media
She looks great. Boob window and all. The slit on the skirt. But even more that that: She can fight in heels.
Tumblr media
And throw them too. I see she has a thing for throwing shoes.
Tumblr media
She looks nice! But if you ask me I prefer the Auction dress from season 1.
Ok now. The three first places!!! But before that, you know it: Three honorable mentions!
Honorable mention #1
The cutest baby ever. My goodness!
Tumblr media
She was the best toddler pick pocketer. Probably the only one.
Tumblr media
Honorable mention #2
Fashion's latest scream! A very elegant coat made out of... the remains of a glider. Kudos to Carmen for making the best out of an awful situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To this day I hate Chief for this. Hate her deeply. Carmen might forgive her but I do not.
Honorable mention #3
Carmen's dream hats. They are imported. They are here because that hat is so iconic it made its way into the subconscious world.
Tumblr media
Third Place: Safari outfit.
Tumblr media
Oh my glob. Can she look cuter than this? I know it doesn't appreciate here but she is wearing a red belt. Can not be a Carmen outfit without red. Nice very nice outfit. She looks super cool.
Tumblr media
And my goodness, those legs!
Second place: Dubai Dress.
Tumblr media
This one was difficult for me. I almost gave it the first place, because she looks so damn elegant and sexy! She has a cape, A CAPE! She looks like a woman that anyone would obey at the snap of her fingers.
Tumblr media
And a hairdo! And the earrings! Little splashes of red.
Stunning! simply stunning.
First Place: Moto GP
I am biased. I love motorcycles. And I love Carmen. And Carmen in a motorcycle? What else could I ask for?
Tumblr media
I may be cheating here because I´m counting the bike as part of the outfit. She looks super hot on a Ducati, sue me.
Look at her going! Vrroooom!!!
Tumblr media
So fast. So skilled. So sexy. AAAAaaaahhh! Look at the technique! The counterbalance! She might not now how to drive a car but she surely knows how to ride.
Tumblr media
Rock and Ride!
Tumblr media
I made so many gifs and I am not sorry. Brrrrhaaaababababammmm! Rrrrev it girl!
Tumblr media
Akira style! So good so good. Hoo baby, that's hot!
Tumblr media
I'm just curious about where in VILE island could have she learned how to ride a bike. I'm not complaining though.
That's it folks. See you at Season 3 outfit ranking!

More angst, more words, more of my blood.
Zoro and Sanji in Wano, part 2 (2700 words, give or take)
The Labyrinth Song by Asaf Avidan is at fault. That and my depression. This is old, but rewriten slightly.
Ariadne
“The sword you gave me, it was heavy
I just had to lay it down
Let's funny how defenseless I can feel here
When there's nobody around”- Asaf Avidan
Wherever could one go when hanging off the cliff’s edge, right there at the brink of eternal madness, where no laws have been written, and no rationale applied?
This was it.
The thin line between forgettable and unforgivable rudely taunting him and Sanji, for the first time, considered crossing it. There was something exceptionally alluring about the borderline that night. If it was up to save the crew or his ability to feel, Sanji wouldn’t even think twice about the choice.
So…
Dry lips parted, skin splitting and leaving painful burning slits at the wake of the stretch, and heavy tongue smacked once against sharp teeth- a parched mouth ready to scream
No sound came.
Instead of crying for help, Sanji pushed onward and his body responded so effortlessly it terrified him. He was on a brink of losing everything he had built himself to be and becoming the same as everyone he couldn’t bear to be compared to…
If something were to go wrong…
If he couldn’t tell the difference between enemies or Nakama…
If he were to hurt those he loved most….
‘If I come back different…-’
Thick smoke wafted in circles, filling up the lungs and stinging the blue eyes, ready to devour what was left of the spent-out fire. Sanji had no more flames left inside of him, no more sparks to set his body ablaze.
‘-…put me down.’
No fear. No fear. No fear...
He knew far too well what the weight of his request would be.
The hammer struck the auction table upon his request, right after he heard that voice that shredded him of all senses from the moment he’d heard it first. Three cracks of thunder against a wooden surface, the loudest sound he has ever heard, and his life suddenly belonged to one person he trusted and hated most- equally.
‘Don’t die before then.’
Sold.
Just like that, Zoro was the one in the command of the guillotine on which Sanji willingly placed his neck against. Sanji felt sold, and owned again, although in a different way, but like a thing nonetheless.
‘You can’t change me, Zoro…’
‘But I can save you.’
Idiot…
‘I don’t want you to.’
‘You don’t get to make that choice, Cook.’
He was digging his own grave, and damned be all gods above and demons below, didn’t he know it. He dug so deep until he knew the crater was big enough to contain all his pain and overgrown demons, and Sanji finally- finally screamed.
That was it. The beginning of an end. He was tired and numb, branded raw by life that felt as if it wasn’t even his to command, so Sanji dusted himself off, letting his flames burn the engravings of his soul into the earth below where he knew they’d stay.
Nobody else needed to know. If anyone in this world would have Sanji’s life in their hand… Well…
Might as well be him.
--
Days passed and they haven’t spoken about it, not once. It all went back to normal, but what was the accurate meaning of the concept truly?
Sanji felt… everything. He felt that was enough. It was supposed to be enough. However, the piper came to claim what belonged to them, and Sanji was soon introduced to feelings he never thought he’d face.
Zoro was different. Distant, like islands Nami hadn’t yet charted. Cold, like the peaks of Drum Rocks.
Zoro changed and Sanji felt it.
His’s glare followed Sanji like a poltergeist haunting the glasshouse of unstable composure, the walls of which attempted to conceal Sanji’s fault lines trembling from feeling exposed and raw. It felt too intimate and it was infuriating, but Sanji had made his bed and he was about to lay in it, whether there were roses or thorns decorating the pillows. It didn’t matter.
He knew what he deserved.
It was still maddening; Life without a lifeline, but with a steady hand on the hammering pulse of his still-beating heart. A hand of an executioner of his own choosing- at least Sanji had gotten that much. He counted his blessings and reminded himself of the meaning of silver linings.
‘Put me down…’ Like an animal, because he never believed he deserved any more recognition for his pathetic existence anyway.
Perhaps a different choice of words….
Choice of words- please, why would he mind? Zoro wasn’t supposed to mind, and that was where Sanji’s first mistake lay.
It was alright- Sanji told himself over and over again, hoping he’d somehow believe it. It was just overwhelming, it was hard, they were exhausted- yes, that was it. Zoro would soon go back to irritating him and Sanji would stop worrying. It was simple. It was supposed to be simple…
Sanji waited, patiently, for his change of heart to occur, but no such pardon came. Gods were cruel. It was akin to torture but not quite as devastating- walking low on a tightrope, grasping onto a stolen chance to live and feel again, the time of his expiration now known only to him.
‘I am no human…”
Weapon… his mind echoed, and he gritted his teeth, concentrating purposefully on the smoke escaping the snapping and burning end of a cigarette poised between his lips. The festivities of Wano blurred into a kaleidoscope of images and sounds- bursts of color and tingling sensation, and Sanji let himself get high on the moment
What did he expect anyway?
--
The time passing in strange silence was maddening and Sanji could barely bring himself to pretend their conversation never happened. So he allowed the sparks to course up the strings of his tense nerves, setting his whole existence ablaze and he held his breath enough long enough to call it courage. When he finally uttered the question that’s been clawing its way out of his mouth, Sanji was already mindless and his voice was broken.
“Do you hate me?”
It was appropriate- the two of them were finally alone, and he finally got a chance to speak the way he had meant to for a long time.
If only it was ever that simple with Zoro…
Stoic and calm, just like the sea before a storm, Zoro’s mere presence burned into him with the intensity that would put fools and kings alike to shame, and the swordsman said nothing.
Sanji’s bones were almost crushed under the weight of Zoro’s reticence, but who was he if not resilient to the demons and their wicked ways?
Still, right there, in the presence of his rival with his whole heart resting on the outstretched open palm at mercy of a single answer, Sanji felt more fear than he would have facing Death.
Death would have been easy… Sanji’s mind whispered.
A short ‘yes’ or ‘no’ would have sufficed, but the swordsman, no matter how simple and cheap with his words, was never the one to offer such an easy form of satisfaction.
Zoro didn’t look at him. He remained seated with his limbs crossed, looking comfortable and occupying the space like a monolith of composure. Always solid, always fearless- Zoro was shatter-proof and that didn’t sit well with Sanji’s ego currently chipping away and disappearing into the ether. Sanji stood over him, looking down at him, waiting and daring not to breathe, knowing that falling to his knees would have probably been easier. Still, he remained where he was, holding onto the pitiful amount of strength he had left, growing roots into the spot where he stood. He could not move. He didn’t trust himself.
Zoro was a man of pride however, and prideful men didn’t like looking up.
A stalemate. The usual game between the two. A boring outcome, usually, but now- nothing but torment. Sanji felt weak. Zoro seemed indestructible.
Alright then…
It was methodical, really, the way Zoro’s silence spoke volumes and proceeded to educate Sanji on what endurance truly meant. Each passing second seemed to have stretched longer like a punishment, rearranging the order of Sanji’s priorities. As he stood in front of the man he had no courage to admit he loved, Sanji learned how much he could actually take.
What he survived amounted to nothing compared to how Zoro made him feel by not indulging his desperation. For the first time ever, Sanji had nothing to hold on to, no opponent to unleash his rage upon, and nobody to pin the blame on for what he was feeling.
It was terrifying. It was unlike Zoro he had known, the man who’d always answer to each of his requests to spar and let out the steam threatening to suffocate.
Loaded moments passed in gut-wrenching anticipation, silence screamed and Sanji’s bones reduced themselves to fine powder, lines of shredded pride which were up for the taking for Zoro to get high on. Yet, Sanji’s ashes remained untouched. When Zoro still did nothing about the said offer, unwavering and cold as Siberian winter, Sanji’s existence folded and his restraint tilted on its axis.
His body moved before his mind had a chance to command it to stop and Sanji found his hands tangled into Zoro’s robes, knotting them, tugging on them with a promise of ripping the fine fabric- desperate and sloppy, wanting a reaction of any kind. Sanji hissed when Zoro remained unbothered, and the flames in his body tickled up his spine steadily. He was itching for a fight. Surrendered to the movements filled with shame he refused to confront at that moment Sanji heard a plea escape his mouth- a tired sound of giving up,
“Say something…”
When Zoro finally moved, Sanji entirely lost his breath. Large hands unfolded and swiftly, without an ounce of real effort, Sanji found himself straddling Zoro’s open lap, disheveled and panting. Zoro’s grip on him was everything but gentle and his large palms buried deep into the fabric covering Sanji’s trembling body and aching skin threatening to burst at the seams. As if he wanted to remind Sanji of pain, of what it felt like to truly be alive.
In this state, he was an easy target, and Sanji had no strength to pull away, only to shove his fists lamely into Zoro’s solid shoulders, hating what being held in such a merciless manner did to him. He was painfully aware of how other’s large rigid frame caged around him, pinning him in the spot in which he fitted so snuggly it was almost too much to bear, and Sanji allowed his heart to take over the exhausted mind.
“Zoro, please, say something…” he breathed out shakily, letting his words brush against Zoro’s lips and cheeks, watching that stoic expression through hooded eyelids and rapidly growing haze.
As an act of mercy that Sanji drank in like a parched man, Zoro’s eye zeroed in on him and forced the remaining pieces of Sanji’s composure to desolate into nothing.
“You…” Zoro’s voice vibrated like a cord stroked by clumsy fingers, growl-like and intense. It was nothing but a whisper really, but how it echoed in Sanji’s heart causing it to forget how to properly pump blood, and suddenly, it was cold.
With a loud swallow, Zoro all but ate the words burning on the tip of his tongue and he shut his mouth into a tight white line, unwilling to let his composure slip.
Sanji was a mess.
Grabbing onto the man like a child after a bad dream, Sanji let his tremors melt into Zoro’s death grip, allowing all of him to be visible, felt- he felt bare.
‘Forgive me…’ but the plea never reached his lips. Instead, it was a sob ripped straight out of quintessence, bursting out like a cry for help and Sanji, for what he thought would be the last time, allowed himself to be brave. Those aching lips clashed with Zoro’s, letting small cries of pure torture come out in waves when all he was greeted was ice.
Slowly, as if he was learning how to breathe, Sanji managed to regain some of his control and his mouth slowed, small kisses placed in the corner of those unresponsive lips, over their plump flesh that felt stiffer than he could ever remember them being, and up to where they arched- kiss after kiss, featherlike, tender.
Nothing.
Not a sigh, not an inch- Sanji was begging and Zoro didn’t cave. Eyes darted up to face the deep mercury and Sanji took in the expression he’s never seen before.
Destroyed, he hissed sucking a sharp breath and his fists uncurled from Zoro’s shoulders.
“I see…” Sanji whispered, finally understanding. There was nothing he could have done that would bridge the gap he created. Closing his yes and placing his fingers onto the arms still wrapped around him, he pushed gently, ready to move, ready to leave.
So this is how it ends…
Suddenly suffocating, Sanji pushed harder against Zoro’s forearms- he needed to breathe. But Zoro didn’t falter. Still holding tight, as if he had a mission to punish Sanji further with nothing but his stone-cold presence, Zoro didn’t even blink when those big broken blues locked onto him in disbelief, pain, and confusion.
“Let go…” the blond demanded weakly, and Zoro tightened his grip, fingers burning into the hip bones and around the strong waist, knowing far too well the bruises would bloom by morning.
“Let--…” Sanji protested, a bit more loudly this time, his push more prominent and expression growing more aggravated, “Zoro, let go,” broken, “Zoro!” angry, “Zoro, let me go!” determined.
“I would have done it,” – desperate.
Sanji froze at the sound of Zoro’s voice. His grip loosened and his breath vacated his body, leaving him limp and weak. Zoro sounded… hurt.
“What are you--…”
“I would have killed you!” Zoro snarled, hooking his fingers deep into Sanji’s flesh and pressing his forehead against the blond’s. His breath was labored and eye beamed with anger.
“I know…” Sanji managed softly, “I asked…”
“You asked me to live with your blood on my hands!”
“I asked you to save everyone if needed!” Sanji yelled back, his strength regained, his anger bubbling up his chest, “I asked you to do something nobody else could have…”
Zoro shook his head as if he was trying to comprehend Sanji’s words and his mouth tightened into a pale line. Breathing as if he was just learning to, listening as if he had just gained the power of hearing- Sanji waited for an answer that would be the last nail into his coffin.
Silence. Not the usual kind that lulls a couple into a dreamless slumber, laced with comfort and mutual trust. This silence was hollow, deep, somehow heavier than air and it honed onto Sanji’s shoulders, pressing him further into Zoro’s lap.
“Do you?” Sanji managed, barely, impressed with his own ability to fall through with uttering the question again.
“Do you hate me, Zoro?”
It was the cliff’s edge, and through the sailing clouds, he could see a vista of new horizons- all he had to do was let go and take a leap of faith. Oh, but if something was terrifying, Sanji was it.
Right there, in Sanji’s broken gaze, Zoro found his way back to himself out of the maze of utter despair he’d submitted himself to in the past days.
He was never the one to back out on a promise. He wasn’t the one to fail either.
‘Put me down…’
Zoro wasn’t the man of prayer either, but he would have been a liar if he had said he didn’t turn his face to the heavens and plead for them to pardon him from this one commitment.
‘Please… Don’t make me… Do not make me kill him…”
Fear… Despair… God, stupidity even. All of those things. But hate?
Hate…
Zoro’s chest expanded as he inhaled deeply, desperately, the tremoring sound of his breath shaking being the only tell of his chipping composure.
Hate- if it was only that simple. Hate had nothing to do with it. Hate was what people believed they felt when they were utterly helpless, exposed, terrified, hurt. Zoro was all of those things, but what he felt was no form of hatred. It was worse than that.
It was a feeling that leaves men like Zoro broken in years of adulthood if not attended to properly. It was a feeling that drove the best of them to madness. It was a feeling that the swordsman never dared to hope he deserved to experience.
As he held onto Sanji’s lean frame as if he needed the reassurance that the man was truly there, right there, in his arms, breathing, with those stormy blues fixated on him, Zoro shivered, parted his lips, and...
“I--…”

ACE X READER | SFW
A Lot Like Snow
Tumblr media
ACE X READER | FEM! READER, SHE/HER
WORD COUNT: 1.5k
CW: mild profanity, some alcohol consumption, mentions of murder, implications to human trafficking, etc.
A BADLY WRITTEN SUMMARY: The one where Ace finds out about a rich group of snobs who make a business out of human servitude, and is on a mission to disrupt their cash flow. What he doesn't count on is that a person belonging to the very group he is trying to save has been the same person hired to kill him.
Tumblr media
He didn’t think this winter island was going to be so frigid. It appeared his information was wrong. It wasn’t the first thing to be incorrect in this ill advised mission.
Ace was starting to think he was being set up.
Snow flurries made visibility poor, even with the help of his binoculars. There was no way to stake out the premises from a distance. The rumors had reached the Whitebeard pirates a few months ago. It wasn’t a territory they had conquered, but it was considerably close to one of their islands. Debate had sparked up on whether it was worth getting involved. Marco had accepted the mission–sort of–stating that he would gather more intel and assess the situation; play it by ear of sorts. Then he had dragged Ace into his badly planned mission only to tell him he was sorry he couldn’t make it.
He was held up on Sphinx island.
By his dick, Ace assumed, because there was simply no other explanation for this bullshit.
He jumps from the rock he was on, and starts to precariously make his way down the snowy cliff. The bag he had packed was larger than his usual. He truly loathed winter island. The cold was never a welcome friend in his opinion. He enjoyed the blistering sun leaving too-hot kisses on his shoulders; preferred it to the snowflakes peppering his nose with icey affection.
As part of the information Marco had gathered, tonight was a very special night on the island. There was some kind of party going on–a gala, to be precise. Ace wasn’t aware of the difference. He just knew he had to dress up–per Marco’s instructions.
He was getting tired of Marco’s instructions, he thought, as he stripped naked against the freezing wind behind a tall rock. He should do the smart thing and abort–go back to the shore and leave this frozen hell of an island. There simply wasn’t enough that was known to guarantee his safety but guilt gnawed at his insides. He was here, and the victims of the rich were close–if he tried, maybe he could raise enough hell–but at what cost?
He stopped thinking, and instead focused on getting dressed before he could change his mind. A suit was not his first choice, and he wondered how Marco was able to get his measurements to make it fit so well. It moved well too–he noticed as he sped up, making his way towards the stony walls surrounding the city. He adjusted his gray newsboy hat on his face, trying to hide his black curls slightly. There were guards at the gates.
At least that much had been correct. Marco had prepared for this. Ace reached into the pocket of his tan peacoat with a gloved hand. He flapped a large black and gold invite at the guards. “Just passing through, gentlemen,” he exalted. Ace paused as they got in his way, and waited for them to squint at the invite through the snow, a hand closed into a fist inside his pocket.
“Come on in, Mr. Hilly.”
Philip Hilly was not a name he wanted to keep forever, but it was his cover for the remainder of this night. Philip Hilly had a limp. Philip Hilly dragged his left foot ever so slightly. Philip Hilly enjoyed alcohol, gambling and women. Philip Hilly had unsavory habits, and could not keep his hands to himself when it came to women. Philip Hilly was a sadist–but only when it came to the weak.
Philip Hilly was here to buy himself a slave during this auction covered up as a gala.
Philip Hilly was not Portgas D Ace, and for that, Ace was thankful.
The ornate white and gold double doors opened to welcome him. He entered, dark eyes taking in the high ceiling–a mural of celestial beings painted in soft tones covered the expanse of it. Ace chewed on the inside of his cheek. The longer he walked around, taking in snippets of conversation, observing how the guests moved and interacted the more he wanted to leave.
It was repulsive to hear them eagerly discuss their preferences. Young, lithe, pliable for some. Resilient, strong, but obedient for others.
Curse words float under his breath so he reaches for a flute of some bubbly alcohol when a tray passes him by, anything to take the edge off. He needed to find this dealer persona he had agreed to meet before he lost his cool entirely, putting his life at stake.
Even if you had wanted to–you couldn’t say no. The mark burned into your hip wouldn’t allow you so. At least, that’s the excuse you repeated to absolve yourself from guilt every time you were sent on a mission. The orders had been simple: kill him. The only requirement was to do it covertly, away from the guests, so as not to cause any discomfort.
You laugh remembering the briefing, walking down the hall, her heels clicking against the marble floors. Anything to avoid discomforting the guests. Those pigs, you think, and  immediately regret it. Pigs were kinder. Pigs couldn’t help their nature.
Humans? They chose the horrors they lived by.
The outfit for this undercover stint was annoying to say the least. The monocle had a hard time staying in place in front of one of your brown eyes. The cane was to appear what–weak? You wondered how that was possible when the high slit in your dress revealed a muscular thigh to anyone who dared to look for longer than a few seconds.
You would just have to make it work somehow. It wasn’t like your handler cared about logic. He wanted the target dead, and he wanted it done tonight. He had merely brought up the outfit as a little something fun. You scowl as you approach the party, the jumbled conversations mixed with  music growing louder. To him–every mission he sent you was like setting up a play on the same day; a thrown together script, scotch taped to look its best with a cast pulled from the streets.
And somehow, you were always expected to succeed at a standing ovation.
Slaves like you had no room for error. Unless death was the escape you were looking for.
You weave through the crowd, stopping to make some boring conversation here and there with some guests you recognized. They were all here for the same thing, and every word you aimed at them, every smile, filled your mouth with acrid regret.
Still, you played your role well, and strode towards the meeting spot–by the chocolate fountain where you found him gorging on strawberries.
He looks up, some chocolate smeared on the corner of his mouth, and is taken aback. By the monocle hiding one eye, and the cane with a wolf's head, he knows this is her–the dealer. Why had he been  expecting someone a little—well, disgusting looking, someone who probably smelled if he got too close?
“Mr. Hilly,” you greet him, and hold out one hand, fingers ornate with silver rings. “I see you’ve made it and are making yourself comfortable. It’s our absolute pleasure to host you tonight.”
You ignore the chocolate on his chin, and the freckles splattered on his cheeks; ignore how for a fleeting second you think they match–you ignore the twist in your stomach. You stomp it out with vicious heels and remind yourself you are not this person. You are the role you are forced to play. This isn't you. You are sleeping somewhere safe away from harm. This is a dream.
He takes your hand, a solid hold, with a sense of apprehension. You are not what he expected. He takes in your height, unimpressed that he has to look down at you. He notices the teased out waves, frizzed out curls framing your face that shouldn't have been brushed, and wonders if this was a choice? It was a bad choice, if anyone would dare to ask him.
It did no justice to your face.
“Nice to meet you…” he stalls, not remembering your name. You smile, canine teeth sharp.
“Finch,” you lie with a grin. “Last name Finch. Shall we go?” you gesture towards the doors you came from. “Somewhere quieter and I’ll be happy to show you our catalog. If you happen to spot something you’re very interested in, we could arrange a meeting prior to your purchase.”
He avoids a reaction by grabbing another strawberry. The way acid bubbled in his stomach, threatening to come up and consume him was surprising. The more you talked, the more he wanted to take you and the rest of your little friends and bury you in the depths of the oceans. It was sickening the way you referred to human life as if you were showing off furniture. He needed to get you alone first; fish out some information and, as unfortunate as it may be, take you down no matter what.
“Very well, Finch,” he says, swallowing the fruit he had chewed up. “Show me what you got.”  He sticks his tongue behind a molar, gloved hands in his pockets. You watch a small fire start behind his eyes, and think, for the first time in a long time: maybe he’ll be the one to free me. Maybe he’ll kill  me instead.

anything about Superior and/or Winter Quarters?
Hi nolanfa--sorry it took me so long to get to this ask! Life...ya know, it's crazy sometimes.
So I already answered about Winter Quarters here. So here's a Director's Cut about Superior.
Aaaahhh…this fic… I really like this fic!  I mean, I guess I like all the fic I’ve written or I wouldn’t have written them, but this one makes me especially happy for a couple of reasons.  First, it was the second winterhawk fic I wrote, so I had one under my belt and had sort of gotten over that hurdle, so I could relax a little with this one and I wasn’t so tenuous about it.  Second, I set a goal for myself with Superior that I didn’t want it to get out-of-control-long—I wanted to keep it tight and to the point—and I felt like I was successful in doing that, so that made me super happy.
When I write fic for internal reasons, it’s usually because a snippet of a scene will hit me and that starts me off running with an idea.  When it’s for external reasons (in this case, the fic was for an auction winner) I will usually spend a good amount of time just turning things over in my head for a while until a fic will start to form.  In this case, the auction winner wanted a Canadian Shack fic, but I’m a super visual person/writer. Like, I see the action in my head and then basically just try to transcribe what I see. And also, I need to be able to visualize everything: the room, the clothes, the gestures, etc.   But, Canadian shack just wasn’t conjuring up any images for me, so instead, I set the fic in a place I was familiar with—the coast of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin.  It’s a really beautiful place with red rock cliffs (it’s a unit of the National Park Service—the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore). Once I had that fixed in my head, the rest of the fic started to take shape.
But my most favorite thing about Superior was the scene where Clint is running through the woods to try to save Bucky.  That scene came to me as I was brainstorming, crystal clear, and I could not wait to get it on paper because wounded, BAMF Clint is like my favorite thing in the world (hnngg).  In fact, I had it on paper before almost anything else.  It was my target. Like, here’s this scene I can so clearly see, but it’s obviously not going to happen until late in the fic, so now I have to come up with a whole fic to get them there, lol.  I literally had nothing but that scene in my head and I had to figure out how to get to it.  I wrote like, 20k+ of fic to get Clint to that position where he’s running through the woods barefoot and barely dressed.  Mmm, I don’t think I’m communicating this the way I want…I had that scene in my head and then I had to create 20k words of fic to plausibly get him to a place where it made sense for him to be running through the woods barefoot and barely dressed.  Yes, that’s what it was. 😊
I also enjoyed writing Fury in this fic, in the beginning and then at the end as well.  He’s fun to write but I never feel comfortable enough to write him in anything but small doses.  But that scene where he’s talking to Clint when he wakes up in the hospital was sooooo fun to write and another one that came to me very early and that I was anxious to finally get to.
What else…Oh, the place where Clint and Bucky end up after they leave Lake Superior—Crex Meadows—that was someplace that the auction winner sent me pictures of as we were discussing what the fic might/could be, because it’s someplace they particularly liked.  It didn’t really spark anything in me and then I moved on to the Apostle Islands, but I wanted to give them what they wanted so I worked it into Clint and Bucky’s flight from Hydra.
And Jasper.  Oof.  I have such mixed emotions about the whole SHIELDRA Jasper.  On the one hand, it’s great fodder for angst and turmoil.  On the other hand, I hate that they did that to Jasper. Sigh.  But, in this case, it worked really well to make him the bad guy because he and Clint would know each other well and it ramped up the angst with Clint and Phil.
Oh, lastly, I guess, I’ll add that the little bit about the stick through Clint’s foot was something that the auction winner mentioned to me, not at all in the context of “please include this” but as sort of an aside of something that happened to a friend (I think), and I just had to include it because it worked perfectly.  And then I had great fun with Phil and Nat’s reactions to it.  I think I got more comments from readers about that then anything else, lol.
Thanks for the ask, @nolanfa !

Nookphone Updates (Contact List + Other New Apps)
-----------
Basic Story
You, as an employee of Nook Inc. are tasked with scouting out an island as a potential location to start a new town. When you arrive, you find out that there used to be a town here, but disaster recently struck, leaving its residents displaced and without proper guidance. The current residents live far apart and mostly fend for themselves while the rest of the island was reclaimed by nature, including the abandoned town hall. When you contact Tom Nook with updates on your situation, he decides that this is a place in need of great rejuvenation, but before they can start building, they need to bring the town back together.
And so you are tasked with making the island a pleasant place to live again, all while making friends (and maybe some enemies) along the way.
-----------
Getting Started
After establishing contact with Tom Nook, you are tasked with introducing yourself to all the current villagers. After doing so, you will be granted permission to set up your tent anywhere that's possible.
The starting area is similar to the limited starting area of the New Horizons' islands, but with more evidence that there used to be a town here, like the remnants of paths, and the abandoned town hall building.
After establishing your tent, Tom Nook will recommend that you first build trust with the other villagers and start the obligatory errands tutorial.
During said tutorial, you'll learn a little about what happened and how while the villagers are worried about one another and are all generally good people, the poor leadership of their previous mayor didn't give them the confidence to stick together, but they would like to rebuild the town if it's possible.
This tutorial, as well establishing the basic item collecting, crafting, and fetch quest systems, also establishes a new important system: relationships. As this used to be a proper town, the villagers already have some relationships with each other, and you'll learn that certain villagers like each other while others don't. It's up to you whether you want to improve everyone's relations or pick sides.
On the next proper day, Tom, Timmy, and Tommy will arrive at the island to help provide support and guide you towards finishing the "main story" quest.
At the start, like New Horizons, there are no proper shops and most tools and furniture items must be obtained through crafting.
You also start with your company Nookphone. It starts off with the same apps as in New Horizons and more are unlocked as features become available. One of the new features of note is the new "Contacts" app, which keeps track of your contacts and relationships with said contacts.
While you settle into your new island life, the Nooks are arranging for some outside help in the form of visitors from the mainland.
First, Timmy and Tommy will set up a shop where you can sell the resources you've gathered and purchase some tools and items that they've imported from the mainland.
At a certain level of progress, Tom Nook will manage to establish Dodo Airlines on the island, allowing travel to and from the island to other locations. Of prominence is "the Mainland," but eventually other locations will become available.
-----------
Building Up The Island
Like New Horizons, your primary goal of the "main quest" is to improve the quality of life on the island to inspire economic growth. This is achieved by cleaning up the island, building PWPs & other facilities, and otherwise making it a habitable place to live.
Part of this goal is achieved by re-establishing the Town Hall to be a central hub of the island to bring the community back together.
After gaining the approval of the current residents (similar to the approval system in New Leaf), you are elected as the island's representative/mayor and are able to enact community goals and projects.
You can request that villagers help by donating resources/bells towards community projects such as rebuilding the hall, funding bridges across the river(s), house rebuilding projects, etc.
On the Nook's end, once enough progress is made, they'll start inviting other business owners and friends to visit the island to hopefully establish more facilities on the island. At first, they can only get in touch with:
The Able Sisters Clothing Shop (They can set up shop here)
Blathers' of the Faraway Museum (He can set up a branch of the museum here)
The Happy Home Academy (Can start providing more home features and indirectly gets you in contact with Isabelle who can help manage the Town Hall/Community Center)
The Pelicans of the Post Office (Can start sending packages to and from the island)
Harv of Harv's Campground and its affiliates (Can set up the campsite)
These are the only required buildings/services
If you establish contacts with the business owners on the mainland, the Nooks can start contacting them too for potential business deals. These include:
Brewster of The Roost & his apprentice (Can set up "The Nest" run by the apprentice on the island)
Shiba of 1-Pup Arcade (Can start holding pop-up shops during events)
Dr. Shrunk of Club LOL and its talents (Can start sending talent like K.K. Slider to perform at the Community Center)
Label and Kicks of Labelle's Boutique (Can start sending items to be featured in the Abel's shop)
Flick & CJ (Can start visiting to buy fish & bugs from the player and host tourneys)
Phineas of his toy store (Can start visiting occasionally)
The Gyroid Flea Market (Introduces the Auction App)
*After raising the island's quality of life enough by: -Building all required buildings/Establishing services -Rebuilding every starting villager's home -Raising the villager population by at least 1 -Increasing the island's rating to at least 3 stars
You'll eventually be given the ability to terraform the island (similar to New Horizons)
-----------
The Town Hall/Convention Center
It's your primary goal to restore the town hall to become the new hub of the island.
Once it's properly rebuilt, this will be where Tom Nook establishes his housing business/services, and Isabelle will be hired to help manage town news, ordinances, and other systems, similar to New Horizons/New Leaf.
A new feature is the ability to attend/start town meetings. Here the current villagers can voice their opinions on the current standings of the town, such as suggesting new facilities/public works projects.
Major decisions like these will be held to a vote. It is possible that the player's first choice won't be chosen as the next PWP for consideration, but if they have good standing with the other villagers, it is possible to convince them to vote for the player's preference.
You can invite some of the NPCs you meet to host classes and/or demonstrations to either learn new skills or to boost public opinion of certain facilities.
You could also use the convention space to host a local auction house/trading center, which you can open to online visitors.
-----------
The Mainland
The Mainland acts similarly to the City from City Folk and Main Street from New Leaf: a place where a bunch of big buildings are kept. It can't be terraformed, but there are some things that can be changed and it takes time and certain conditions for certain buildings to unlock.
The idea is to make it possible to set up almost every city facility on your island without making it mandatory for certain features, so players that want to keep a more "natural" island can still get the city features without making them a part of their island.
Happy Home Apartments (NEW)
A new business venture by the Happy Home Academy. Managed by Digby, this facility houses up to 10 different animals who you can also form relationships with.
In functionality, apartment villagers are identical to island villagers except you don't have any authority over them.
Unlike the island, you don't have much choice in who moves into the apartments, but you can have some influence on who stays.
If your friendship is high enough, they'll tell you that they're planning on moving, and you can try to either convince them to stay in the city or move to your island.
If your friendship is too low to convince them to stay in the city or move to your island, they'll tell you their planned move out date. If you can raise their friendship high enough before that date, you can ask them again to either not move out or to move to your island.
If your friendship is super low, the animal may move out without ever telling you.
-----------
The Faraway Museum (NEW)
Curated by a new owl character, this is a large museum that is always on the lookout for new rare specimens.
Blathers starts off working here, but is invited by Tom Nook to start a branch of the museum on your island.
Like previous iterations of the museum, the Faraway Museum also has exhibits for art, aquatic life, fossils, and insects and a conservatory. However, while your museum hosts locally found items and imported art, the Faraway Museum only houses exotic items which can only be found on "expeditions." As this museum is already filled, you can learn when you can find these rare specimens to plan ahead for them.
If you build up a relationship with Blathers, he can give you an "expedition pass" to allow you to go on expeditions hosted by the Faraway Museum. This way you can obtain these rare items for either your own museum or yourself.
You only have a limited time for each expedition, and increasing your time requires that you upgrade your pass through either making contributions to your museum or participating on more expeditions.
There's a gift shop where exclusive museum themed items can be purchased.
Occasionally in the conservatory, you can meet Celeste.
If you make constellations here with her, they'll sometimes appear over your island. After making your first constellation with her, and Blathers has set up a museum on your island, you can invite her to study the stars on your island where the light pollution is very low. She'll eventually open her own conservatory in your island's museum, where you can make constellations at any time and predict meteor showers. On rare occasions, you might hear about an "alien sighting" that you can choose to investigate.
-----------
1-Pup Arcade (NEW)
A game store run by an eager Shiba Inu.
Here you can play mini games by yourself or with friends. Playing games earns you points which you can exchange for exclusive items.
Ultimate prizes include home versions of the games, and Nintendo cross-over items.
Regular items also include other aracde/entertainment style furniture.
You can also invite animal friends here to play multiplayer games with a CPU.
If you show the shopowner a non-Animal Crossing amiibo, they'll give you special items relating to that amiibo and maybe a little bit of history about the character.
If you establish a good relationship with the shop owner, they may consider opening a pop-up shop on your island.
-----------
Labelle's Boutique (NEW)
A high-end fashion store run by the Able Sister Label and assisted by new apprentice, Kicks that sells expensive clothing and accessories.
Also stocks furniture from the Gracie Grace collection + more.
You can work here part-time to help villagers find perfect outfits for either the occasion or their tastes.
If you do well enough, Label will learn that her sisters live on your island and will start sending merch to their store to sell.
Clothing rotates every week, furniture rotates every season.
The connections of focus here are on Label and her sisters as well as Label and Kicks as Label navigates being in a new mentorship role to another fledgling fashion designer, much how Gracie did to her. They often clash in debates over form (Label) vs. function (Kicks), but if you follow their story, they'll eventually reach a compromise.
-----------
Flick and CJ's Studio (NEW)
Flick made enough from commissions to open his own studio on the Mainland. Here you can request models of fish, insects, deep-sea creatures, and fossils if you bring him 3 of each (or every piece in the case of "big" fossils).
For extra bells, you can "super size" any piece to get a "grand" version of any model.
He will also dabble in original works and sell fish/insect inspired furniture and sell different pieces every week.
If you increase friendship with Flick, you can convince him to visit your island to catch bugs. While he's here, you can sell bugs to him for an increased price.
C.J. is usually out doing streams & influencing somewhere out on the mainland, but if you catch him in the Studio, you can convince him to visit your island to increase its reputation and increase the chances of a rare visitor. While visiting, you can sell your fish to him for a higher price.
If you've rebuilt the Town Hall/Community Center, then they'll host their respective tourneys too.
-----------
Phineas's Travelling Toy Store (kinda-NEW) Occasionally Phineas the prize man will appear on the mainland selling a random assortment of toys. You can only pick on per visit and the designs are random. While you can theoretically collect them all yourself, it's encouraged that you trade in the flea-market for your preferred colors.
Interactive Balls: play kick ball with your friends/animals. Be careful not to lose them in rivers.
Pinwheels/Balloons/Bubbles: fun to mess with. Be careful not to trip and break them
RC Cars/Helicopters: See your island from a different point of view. Be careful not to lose them in rivers, or high places.
Jigsaw Puzzles: Every week Phineas will have new puzzles to complete in his shop. If you complete it, you can take it to Cyrus to frame and turn it into furniture.
Baseball Set: Play catch with your friends/animals.
Marbles/Spinning Tops: Collectible. Trade with your friends to collect them all.
If you purchase enough toys, he may occasionally visit your island too.
-----------
Re-Tail
A half-flea market, half-customization shop run by the alpaca couple.
Reese handles the flea market side of the shop, which is really an online marketplace where you can buy/trade items with players all over the world.
You get a personal gyroid that you can decorate to look after your booth and you can interact with other user's gyroids.
Gyroids cycle out everyday, but you can search for gyroids holding particular items.
You can manually set prices/wanted trade items and will take care of trades when you're not online.
You can also participate in auctions.
You can set-up private trades so that only the player you want to trade with you can (similar to Nookazon)
If you have the app, you can check on how your market is doing remotely. You can also start listing items from the app and sending them over via the post office.
There are some limitations:
*Fish/Bugs cannot be traded through the Flea Market
*Gyroids have a limited amount of hold space (this can be upgraded with Bells)
Cyrus handles the customizations of items.
He can change the color of any item for a fee. He also offers exclusive customizations that are impossible to find in shops including material based customizations, such as ore, star fragments, fruit, etc.
-----------
Police Station
The police dogs Booker & Copper return as the City's police force.
They have a lost and found where you can claim items or if you know the owner you can return them to increase friendship with that villager.
Claiming items that aren't yours won't get you in trouble with the police, but it may reduce friendship with an animal if they catch you with their item, and you don't return it.
-----------
The Roost
A cafe run by Brewster. Occasionally you can catch his apprentice working here too.
You can invite friends and villagers to The Roost. Inviting villagers will help raise your friendship with them and give unique dialogue to learn more about them.
You can work part-time at the cafe to build relationships with the Mainland animals.
If you invite a lot of villagers from your island to The Roost, Brewster will consider opening a branch on your island. His apprentice will come to run the branch cafe (The Nest) and you can work part-time here too.
The Nest serves a similar function to The Roost but also offers more "experimental" recipes by the apprentice that can have different effects such as increased running speed, or increased friendship with villagers.
Brewster has an interest in gyroids. If you help him complete his collection, he'll offer exclusive cafe items in return.
-----------
Club LOL
A comedy club and music venue run by Dr. Shrunk.
Another place you can take villagers to raise friendship.
Here you can learn different emotions and dances from Dr. Shrunk in exchange for any food item.
Along with K.K., there's a cover band that also preforms. If you catch them before their set and give them a specfic food of their choice, they can teach you how to play different instruments. You can use instruments to perform songs (but you'll need to have either heard the song before or purchase the sheet music for it).
Different instruments:
*Guitar *Bass *Sax *Drums *Vocals *Keyboard *Violin *Etc.
All villagers also have a preferred instrument that they can play if invited for a "jam session."
After mastering an instrument, you can perform at the Club during "Open Mic Nights". You can invite friends or animals to perform with you.
If you establish a contact with Dr. Shrunk & the other performers, they may start appearing on your island to perform at the Community Center.
-----------
Harv's Island
Another place you can visit via Dodo Airlines. Functions similarly to how it does in New Horizons + some features from New Leaf/Pocket Camp.
-----------
The Campground
Regular villagers will occasionally camp here. If you help them set up their camp, you can exchange contact info with them to get them to move to your island and/or invite them somewhere on the Mainland.
After setting up a campsite on your own island, Harvey will trust you enough to accept pointers on how he should set up his own campgrounds. Here, you can choose to fund certain travelling sales people to set up permanent shop here.
-----------
Camp Essentials (NEW)
Already established on the island.
A new shop run by one of Harv's nieces (Cammy) which provides camping basics.
Focuses on selling campsite items for the campsite on your own island.
*Different tent/lodge styles
*Other campsite essentials such as fire pits, clothes lines, tools, etc.
The higher quality your campsite is, the more likely it is that the camper staying there will be willing to move onto the island (as opposed to leaving it completely up to RNG as in New Horizons).
-----------
Leif's Garden Wagon
Already established on the island and is the hired groundskeeper.
Sells garden type items similar to New Horizons.
Can start visiting your island after you meet him.
Also offers a weeding service: will charge a fee for every acre you want him to clean. Inversely, you could also sell him the weeds you've plucked.
If he notices that your island has a particularly high nature rating, he may offer exclusive rewards such as special tools which can help with gardening. Ex:
*Unbreakable gardening tools
*Plant food which can increase the likelihood of hybrids and rare fruit growth.
-----------
Katrina the Fortune Teller
Similar function to New Horizons: she can view your current luck and or status with any villager currently living on your island or the apartments.
Also sells "lucky" items for an inflated price.
Can remove curses from "cursed items"
Can also cast curses/charms on you/villagers for a fee. For a small fee, the effects are random, but you can pay more for a specific curse and/or charm.
Casting too many curses may increase your "wickedness" and cause you to have more bad luck more often (which can also be cured for a nominal fee).
Funding her will allow you to use her services daily
-----------
Redd's Black Market
Occasionally sets up shop here since it's "off the grid".
Sells art pieces (both real and fake) and furniture items.
Also offers a raffle game where random small prizes can be won.
Sometimes the furniture will be rare, other times it will be "common" furniture at a marked up price.
Can start visiting your island if you purchase enough items from him.
Funding him will allow him to set up shop where he will rotate his stock weekly.
-----------
Shampoodle
She does most of the management of the shop part of the island while Harvey takes care of the camp side.
While she still doesn't have a proper building of her own anymore (since players can update their looks at anytime by using a mirror), she will sometimes set up a styling tent if she feels "inspired" and offer exclusive hairstyles and accessories.
For example:
*Special Contacts: Eye shapes like hearts, stars, glitter effects, heterochromia, etc.
*Body Paint: Unnatural skin colors (Ex: hot pink, lavender, green, etc.)
*Two-Toned/Multicolored Hair
*Special Wigs
If you fund her, she will set up a permanent shop where she can style you whenever you want.
-----------
Villager Overhaul
As the relationships and autonomy of the animals is a focus in this game, each animal has an expanded number of traits from other games. An animal's preferences has a stronger effect on how well they get along with both other animals and the player. Animals who dislike certain attributes will get along less with animals which have those attributes, and likewise if they like certain attributes. All animals have opinions and preferences for:
Favorite/Least Favorite Color
Favorite/Least Favorite Style
Favorite/Least Favorite Hobby
Favorite/Least Favorite Personality
Favorite/Least Favorite Fruit/Food
Favorite/Least Favorite Music
Favorite/Least Favorite Reputations
The more they have in common with another villager, the more likely they are to befriend them. Similarly, if the player has preferences that don't match the animal's, they'll have a harder time befriending them. However, it isn't *impossible* to befriend an animal even if they dislike everything about you. Friendship can still be raised through favors or otherwise gifting them the things they do like. (However, they will make note if they know you don't like the same things that they do, but will acknowledge that you're making an effort and will try to meet you half-way).
Their relationships with each other can also affect their relationships with you: If you befriend the enemy of a villager, their opinion of you may lower, and vice versa if you befriend one their friends (though they may start to become jealous if you start spending less time with them). If you're the island rep, villagers that like you are more likely to agree with your opinion in the case of a public vote. If they don't like you or are neutral, they're more likely to vote towards their actual preference. *Besides relationships, a villager's preferences will also affect the kinds of PWPs they recommend/vote for and the kinds of gifts they give and will ask for during errands. Their hobbies will affect the kinds of activities they do and the kinds of things they'll be more helpful for. For example, a villager whose hobby is gardening will be able to help pluck more weeds than a non-gardening villager.
Reputations can also affect how a villager reacts to you and the kinds of gossip they'll spread. Villagers also have default reputations, but they can influence by the things you ask them to do for/with you. For example, even if a villager hates gardening, if you frequently ask them to help with garden tasks, they may develop a reputation for having a "green thumb" which will increase their popularity with villagers that do like gardening (at the expense of lowering your friendship with that villager since they actually still hate gardening).
-----------
Personalities
Personalities are now gender-neutral: any gender can have any personality. Every personality has 2 variants. Their base dialogue will be similar between variants of the same personality, but have differing "situational" dialogue.
Normal: Polite/Free Spirit *In General: Sweet natured and always kind to the player and other villagers. *Polite: Will always try to say the "right" thing rather than their true feelings. It can be exhausting always being the "nice" one. *Free Spirit: Spiritual types that leaves everything to fate. Believes in luck/fortune telling and will talk a lot about Feng Shui and mention a travelling fortune teller that can sometimes visit.
Peppy: Idol/Spoiled *In General: Energetic and optimistic, but can be a little careless. *Idol: Wants to become famous for something. Can be callous at first, but can become more tender with time. Will idolize K.K. Slider, Gracie Grace, and other famous people. *Spoiled: They're a little bratty and are used to getting whatever they want. Living on this small island has been teaching them that they can't always get their way. Still, they'd like it if you'd still dote on them from time to time.
Snooty: Celeb/Gossip *In General: Snobbish and rude, but tells it like it is. *Celeb: Retired actors/actresses/musicians/etc. that got a little washed out after they left their industries. They have an eye for luxuries and are still warming up to island life. Has a lot of wisdom to share about their experiences with fame. *Gossip: Interested in all things gossip. Loves to hear them and loves to spread them. Despite that, they have a strict moral code and never tell lies (if they know they're lies).
Big Sib: Rebel/Party Animal *In General: Loud, brash and rude, but they have hearts of gold. *Rebel: Has a dangerous past that they'd like to leave behind. They're having a hard time staying on the straight and narrow, but they're trying. *Party Animal: Wants to be wherever the "action" is. Very interested in DJ KK and will mention clubs they like to go to. Energetic and has no patience for anything "boring". Only tried out island life as some personal rehab. It's kind of working.
Jock: Beefcake/Personal Trainer *In General: Hot blooded and active. Can be a little too into themselves. *Beefcake: What you see is what you get. They're all about those gains and they wanna look good getting them. Every now and again they'll have a deeper thought, but it isn't often. *Personal Trainer: Very enthusiastic and focused on personal betterment. Can be rude at first, but if you show an interest, they'll offer good advice in return.
Lazy: Easy-Going/Space Cadet In General: A little absent minded, but is overall good natured. *Easy-Going: Takes life in stride and doesn't worry about much. More focused on snacks or the comic book they just bought. Is friendly enough, but takes a while to actually get personal. *Space Cadet: Seems to live in their own world where aliens are real and paintings can be totally haunted. But there's nothing to these rambles, is there?
Cranky: Hardheaded/Wizened In General: Thick skinned and sharp tongued. They say what's on their mind for better and worse. *Hardheaded: A classic grouch. Sometimes seems to be angry just for the sake of it. They're tough and no nonsense, but they respect anyone who can stand up to their bullying. *Wizened: Implied to be older than other villagers. A little grouchy about the changing the world, but otherwise has good advice and wisdom. Might complain a lot about their aching bodies and doesn't know how to use their cellphone, but given enough encouragement, they'll compromise.
Smug: Career Oriented/Fashionista *In General: Self-centered and full of themselves. Couldn't careless what you think of them. *Career Oriented: Doesn't make much time for the player and always talking about money making opportunities. If they'd slow down for a moment, they'd see how nice just enjoying life could be. *Fashionistas: Always chasing trends and trying to set them. Might talk about being an "influencer" or modeling for magazines, trying to get their name out there.
(new) Studious: Mad Scientist/Honor Student *In General: Awkward brainiacs that are a little too interested in their subjects to pay you any mind. *Mad Scientist: Possibly plotting to take over the world with their robot army. Until then, they're on the down-low, so they may appear unfriendly. If you raise friendship enough, they might start considering you their favorite "minion". *Honor Student: Acts like they're the smartest animal in town, and they probably are, but being that arrogant means they don't get along easily with others. With high friendship they may talk more about their specific interests.
(new) Gloomy: Poetic/Shy *In General: Soft spoken, and melancholic. They're not overly friendly, but they're not mean either. They'd just rather keep to themselves if possible. *Poetic: Artsy types that Will often wax lyrical about the meaning of life if you let them. Usually sees the glass as half empty and doesn't like overly friendly personalities. Likes rainy days, Jack, and anything kinda spooky and/or dark. *Shy: They're used to being ignored, due to being so quiet, so it's hard for them to open up. But they're passionate about the things they like, and they will talk your ear off if you let them.

The blaster that helped the Rebel Alliance finally take down the Empire could soon be yours.
Han Solo’s DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol from the original Star Wars trilogy will be sold next month by Rock Island Auction Company. The weapon isn’t just a lovingly crafted replica, either. It’s the actual prop that was wielded by Harrison Ford on the set of the original film in the franchise, 1977’s A New Hope.
With the exceptions of Luke or Darth Vader’s lightsabers, there is no weapon closer to the heart of Star Wars fans than Han’s blaster. The DL-44 appears on screen for the first time moments after we are introduced to Ford’s character in Episode IV. The Millennium Falcon’s pilot can be seen wielding the weapon during his shootout with Greedo in the cantina in Mos Eisley, but it makes several other appearances in the film, as well as in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

This particular prop was used to film that infamous scene—there’s some argument over who shot first, though anyone who’s seen the original cut knows the true answer—but was lost after filming wrapped and labeled missing, according to a press release. It would be replaced by two other prop DL-44s for the filming of the next two entries in the franchise. This is the rediscovered original blaster, though, and has a letter of authenticity saying as much.
A New Hope isn’t the only time this prop showed up on the silver screen. Han’s blaster is actually a heavily modified Mauser C96 broom handle pistol which was used as a prop in several other movies, including the 1967 Frank Sinatra spy flick, Naked Runner. That means two of the coolest movie stars of all time have used the fake weapon.
Han’s DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol is scheduled to hit the block on August 27. The auction house expects the weapon, which comes with a signed photo of Ford, to sell for between $300,000 and $500,000. We wouldn’t be surprised if it sold for far north of that, though, especially since one of the replacement props used to film Return of the Jedi sold for $550,000 in 2018.
As Star Wars fans know all too well, the original is always better.
