I never quite finished these two cards the first time i tried making a PJO major arcana and I never posted them. I really like the designs though so I’ll probably try to do something similar when I draft them again

Msf as a whole but also kaz specifically are the first victims of the cult leader big boss eventually becomes. The monster he is in mg2.

The majority of the soldiers kaz included are people he kidnapped. People who now hinge on his every word and would die for him. Just because kaz is also his accountant wife doesnt make him any less of a victim or follower of BB. Kaz can call it a partnership all he wants that doesn’t make it the truth, their relationship is not and never has been equal.

Kaz doesnt go against BB because he snaps out of his trance and realized how wrong everything is, how crazy his plans are. He does it because he felt personally betrayed. And that pride is the very reason BB betrayed him in TPP. There is no room for autonomy in his heaven. Its ironic, given the whole point of the bosses dream in the first place.

okay so for the next tarot card, the High Priestess, i chose the figure of The Body - specifically Harrow's obsessive characterization and adoration of her. The High Priestess in the Arcana tarot "guards the threshold between the physical and spiritual planes," which in my interpretation can be seen in the way Harrow turns to The Body for guidance while she grapples with reality and the River in HTN. The High Priestess is the divine feminine, which I don't necessarily think is reflective of Alecto, but of Harrow's idealized version of The Body and her devout worship. pulling the High Priestess in a reading can signify the importance of prioritizing your intuition and subconscious mind, themes that are obviously very prominent in HTN. while drawing this card i also started to think about how in christianity, there is the holy trinity: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. something about Alecto's series of personalities (The Body, Nona, Alecto) is reflective of this trichotomy and i just thought that was interesting. do i have any grand plot analysis about this thought? no. but that is okay

i have to apologize for how long it took me to crank this one out; i started to get frustrated with the rendering of all the background portions and i was also depressed because of my job (which I quit!) so it took me awhile to finish. i finally just forced myself to finish it though and i'm really happy with the result! that being said, for my next card i'm going to try a new lineart technique, and i'm excited to see how that goes, so stay tuned!

edit: i realized i left some lineart in my drawing over the hair that was meant to be erased...had to fix that and also i'm posting the print version rather than the card version :)

If you’re a closeted/secret witch and are afraid of somebody walking in on you while interpreting whatever divination method you use, just take a picture of it to interpret instead.

Ex. Do a tarot card pull, take a pic of what you get, then hide the cards. That way, if anyone walks in on you, it’ll just look like youre on your phone

Happy Birthday Jimmy Page! 🐉🎸🌙

🎸Jimmy’s creative and unique spirit has been something I have admired for many years. Before I posted about him or drew him on tumblr, I have been admiring his work for almost 15 years. Im 21 and when I was 5 years old my Dad’s friend gave me his Jimmy Page tshirt from the Firm. I already knew Led Zeppelin and had been listening to them through my dad, but wasn’t really aware of course, since I was a child, of who the band was. Immediately I was enamored by the shirt and wore it all the time. My dad also had a collection of Led Zeppelin’s live recordings. From Madison Square Garden to Earls Court. I remember initially being spooked by Jimmy’s dark hair. Which is hilarious. As a kid, i saw him as this sort of creature. Powerful yet distant. I admired the guitars, and once I got over my initial fear, I was enamored by his music. He has been an inspiration for me for so long, creatively as an illustrator and just in general! The dragon telecaster felt appropriate to do, as it was the first guitar of Zeppelin. Beautiful and inspiring and so very whimsical. 🎸Led Zeppelin in particular helped me through my life, but most recently when I was having a tough time last September. My mental state was not in the best of places, and the music quite literally pulled by up and saved me. I know that sounds so dramatic and silly, but its true! Jimmy’s playing and creative spirit really helped me enjoy life again and finally pick up the guitar I had been meaning to for so long. Thank You Jimmy! You really helped me out and I can’t thank you enough for it, dude. Seriously. I hope you have the best birthday, one year wiser! You helped me enjoy my creative spirit again, and play music the way I’ve been meaning to for years. You inspired me so much and influenced my artistic journey for so long. Thank you for your contribution to music and the artistic community! Thanks for an amazing 15 years! Heres to you! With love, Mazie 🍂

so i guess im getting into crystals and gems? talked to my therapist about the ones i bought (black obsidian star and round rose quartz i believe, and also a bismuth keychain). she told me she wouldnt recc obsidian to anyone but for me it works out cuz im mexican (teehee) but to be very careful if that shit fractures cuz it cuts like crazy. anyway. idk where to start with all these gems and crystals and im def interested in something that can just ground me? idk. i love rocks too. so does anyone have some resources on where to start with crystals/gemstones, any rituals/practices, etc?

#ive always been kinds turned off by seeking witchy and gem stuff but the more i learn about my ancestors and have interacted wirh tarot well #the more i wanna get into it #i was exposed to it by yt folks but the only people who i felt had genuine connection to energy and stones were my bipoc friends #id love to learn more #plus i love rocks #so if its resources tied to indigenous ancestry thats a plus #always trying to find ways to connect to my indigeniety
