It takes two to make a baby, yet mothers shoulder all the risks and responsibilities. Men have minimal to non-existent burdens.

50 years ago, the historic #RoevWade ruling gave pregnant people agency over their own bodies—allowing them rightful control over their life stories. Last year’s overturning of this human right ignited uproar across the country as dangerous abortion bans led to a public health crisis and increased attacks on transgender youth. We flooded the streets in protest, ran to the polls to ensure our voices were heard, and offered support to various funds fighting for abortion access. However, there’s still work to be done.
Please visit the link below to sign the pledge, help repeal these absurd abortion bans, and protect the transgender community. No one should be forced to fulfill an unwanted pregnancy. #BansOffOurBodies #AbortionIsHealthcare https://action.aclu.org/petition/2023-state-legislative-action-pledge-sign-now

Are you tired of anti-choice people telling you that your views on abortion have no historical/religious support?
Me too.
So I wrote a book proving them wrong.
Tumblr media
"An exploration of the history of contraception and abortion in witchcraft and paganism.
This celebration of the history and spirituality of reproductive freedom combines thorough research, reflection, and magical practice with an easy-to-understand writing style. Learn about birth control in the ancient world, which gods and goddesses were historically called on to prevent pregnancy, how to cast a spell to find an abortion provider, and more!
Written with an intersectional, trans-inclusive approach, Sacred Choice acknowledges the nuance of reproductive justice and the ways abortion and contraception access is affected by race, gender, ability, and social class."
Release Date: September 22nd, 2022 (Fall Equinox!)
Available for preorder now!
You can preorder the ePUB for $1 USD on Etsy. You will receive a bonus PDF to ensure file compatibility on all devices. Your digital files will be sent to you on the release date.
If Kindle is more your speed, you can preorder the Kindle ebook for $2.99 on Amazon. The ebook will be auto-delivered to your Kindle library on the release date.
You can also preorder the paperback for $6.99 + shipping on Etsy! Physical copies will be shipped on the book's release date, so you will receive them a few days after the 22nd.

Hi ❤️❤️❤️ actually pro lifers are very charitable to single mothers and we offer them a lot of support via churches and charities. You people just don't wanna rely on us because a) you hate Christians and b) you just want an excuse to harm children
Well hello. This is an unexpected response I got from a Christian user about the Prolife/forced birther movement not caring about women who have to have abortions. I find this funny because
A.) No where in my post about forced birthers did I say anything about Christians (telling on yourself today, huh?)
B.) I genuinely want you to name 3 national pro life organizations that help with women after having the child financially. Not just organizations that let women see the fetus's ultrasound or heartbeat so the woman feels guilty or pro life organizations that gather in front of abortion clinics to scream at teenage rape victims, but organizations that give finacial support for hospital bills, daycare, baby supplies, pre-school, AND school/college expenses or scholarships (cause you know, children are an lifelong commitment). I could only find one that remotely helps with that and of course they have this tibbit as a part of their mission statement:
Tumblr media
So by all means enlighten me on how forced birthers actually care about life but seem to not give a shit after the fetus comes into this broken world.
Y'all aren't prolife. Y'all are pro fear and pro fetus. Oh and by the way, the bible literally says that life doesn't begin until the first breath. Of you actually read it, you'd know that.
Tumblr media
Oh and P.S., just because your religion says you can't do something, doesn't mean we all have to follow your rules. Separate the church from state and if you don't like them, don't get them.

-------------------- I wrote the above poem in the notes app on my phone before a 4th of July party in 2022, because once I thought of it I had to get it on paper before I forgot. I submitted it to my college's literary magazine, which is why it is nicely laid out in pages, and while all of the font and spacing choices were mine, I take no credit for the incredible background and graphic design done by the layout editor I was assigned. In the lit mag I was credited with my real name, but I replaced it with my username as usual.
As always, please give comment and critique, and please reblog and share this. It is one of my favorite pieces I've made and I want as many people as possible to see it.

How an abortion can affect a womens health
The risk of complications for the woman increases with advancing gestational age.
Below are descriptions of the risks that have been associated with abortion.
Pelvic Infection: Bacteria (germs) from the vagina or cervix may enter the uterus and cause an infection. Antibiotics may clear up such an infection. In rare cases, a repeat suction, hospitalization or surgery may be needed. Infection rates are less than 1 percent for suction curettage, 1.5 percent for D&E and 5 percent for labor induction.
Incomplete abortion: Fetal parts or other products of pregnancy may not be completely emptied from the uterus, requiring further medical procedures. Incomplete abortion may result in infection and bleeding. The reported rate of such complications is less than 1 percent after a D&E; whereas, following a labor induction procedure, the rate may be as high as 36 percent.
Blood clots in the uterus: Blood clots that cause severe cramping occur in about 1 percent of all abortions. The clots usually are removed by a repeat suction curettage.
Heavy bleeding: Some amount of bleeding is common following an abortion. Heavy bleeding (hemorrhaging) is not common and may be treated by repeat suction, medication or, rarely, surgery. Ask the doctor to explain heavy bleeding and what to do if it occurs.
Cut or torn cervix: The opening of the uterus may be torn while it is being stretched open to allow medical instruments to pass through and into the uterus. This happens in less than 1 percent of first trimester abortions.
Perforation of the uterus wall: A medical instrument may go through the wall of the uterus. The reported rate is one out of every 500 abortions. Depending on the severity, perforation can lead to infection, heavy bleeding or both. Surgery may be required to repair the uterine tissue, and in the most severe cases a hysterectomy may be required.
Anesthesia-related complications: As with other surgical procedures, anesthesia increases the risk of complications associated with abortion. The reported risks of anesthesia-related complications is around one per 5,000 abortions.
Rh Immune Globulin Therapy: Genetic material found on the surface of red blood cells is known as the Rh Factor. If a woman and her fetus have different Rh factors, she must receive medication to prevent the development of antibodies that would endanger future pregnancies.

ATTENTION
Abortion is not murder the fetus is less alive than a plant throughout the time you can get an abortion. The person getting an abortion isnt killing anything because again, it is less alive than a plant. If you wanted to help children you would make gun laws strickter, improve child healthcare, ect. You don't care about childrens health you just want to control peoples bodies.

at this point i feel like we're past the point of showing politicians their own hypocrisies because its very obvious that they know and just dont care. we should just make the rich live in their own filth. they cant ignore the harm they do if theyre the ones facing the consequences of it.

My one hopeful thought is that enough people have had a taste of freedom thanks to the social revolutions of the past 50-60 years that those ideas will be difficult to erase -- though that is exactly what the GOP is trying to do.

I'm british, but I sure as hell will be reblogging as many posts as possible about the US elections, because what happens over there has ramifications the world over.
Vote to save reproductive rights, trans rights, Lgbtqia+ rights, mental health rights, gender equality, worker's rights, and all the other things we as people have come to expect as a given because of the hard work others have put in to make it so.
Get out and vote. Help others to vote. And once your elections are done, support the rest of the world in their fights for equality and justice too. No country is an island, we all affect each other.
