32. Your character is having a prom night/debs. What kind of outfit do they wear?

As an extremely awkward teenage chihuahua, Aedan would never ask Lenka to prom. He also wouldn't ask anyone else since Lenka was the first and only person he's ever had a crush on so Aedan's grandmother - tired of watching the poor boy suffer - would eventually do it for him. Lenka and Stork would never stop joking about it. They'd wear traditional Dalish clothing - shh let's assume they have proms in Thedas - Lenka would wear a white linen dress, a wreath and her favourite fox fur because of course she's that extra. She'd also wear dark eye makeup, the same one she usually wears for celebrations and battles. Aedan would probably wear the same outfit he usually wears for celebrations - as I've said, he's not much of a fashion queen - and his father's decorative cloak. They'd be the most iconic couple and then Stork and Leonid would show up. Stork, wearing his usual hunting clothes because what's the difference, clothes are clothes and Leo, wearing the most skimpy and dramatic outift he could find.

The Marsallas - ✨ the goths of Nevarra ✨ - would all wear black - and some blue in Indigo's case - with lots of jewellery and fancy hairstyles. As the eldest child, Oktavian would serve as Nunno's - the youngest one - fashion advisor even though Nunno decided to actively ignore all of his advices. Titus would ask Oktavian to let Nunno wear jeans and let him express himself freely but Oktavian would never allow that. His baby brother MUST look good, end of story. Surprisingly, their mother would take Oktavian's side. Veronica and Indigo couldn't care less, just let the kid wear whatever he wants. He'd end up wearing jeans just to spite Oktavian.

36. Tell us something about your OC that doesn't make it onto the page?

Aedan's daughter, Adria. Oficially, Sosna dies shortly before giving birth but what if she didn't? She'd still accompany Aedan and the rest on their way to Tevinter but, naturally, they wouldn't take an infant with them, right? So, Leonid, being the only one who managed to make it back to their settlement, would have to take care of Adria instead. Obviously, he's not a fan of Aedan but he owes it to Sosna, not to mention the fact Aedan was Stork's family and so is Adria. Leonid would eventually leave for Tevinter just like he does in "canon" and, once he and Aedan get reunited, he'd tell him about Adria. I'm not sure if Aedan would believe him, a part of him would but the other part would do everything to not let it get to him. He'd still kill Leo but I like to think that, in a happy/self indulgent AU this would be the ultimate reason for him to side with Veronica and help the Marsallas defeat Villem. He'd return to his clan and get reunited with Adria and Vera would go with him. It was just a silly what-if scenario so sorry it's so incoherent lol

For in-game pics of most of this stuff, just consult my sims 3 Critical Role tag. All of it is pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to explain one thing or two, and point out exactly what FLAWS are present:

ASHTON

The Crystal Hair [BETA] was one of the hardest pieces of CC I've ever messed around with.

FLAWS: The mesh sits HELLA awkward on the head, and the clipping/floating through the skull in some areas is bad on some head shapes. Also, a weird texture glitch on the skull might randomly pop up in CAS, not Live Mode, and IDKY. *sigh* This is what I get for trying something different.

The Cut Crystal as Head ACC & DA2 Persuasion Maul as ACC (and Misc Decor) all have recolorable variations with a clear & opaque texture. The Nails as Earrings are self explanatory. The Cracked Rock or Glass BODY & FACE Tatts as usual REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS.

CHETNEY

I made the ATS3 Female Beanie Unisex and tweaked the textures a bit. The CR3 Chetney INSP RTA Tattoo is a regular EA tattoo.

FLAWS: For the life of me, I CANNOT fix the janky bone joints under the armpits on the Blacksmith Outfit. So...avert your eyes (or just use the regular Blacksmith Outfit with the sleeves). U_U

DORIAN

I was surprised by how well the Chest & Boot Wing ACCs came out, considering those were my own meshes (for once).

For the Dragon Valley Top I just retextured Danjaley's edit by tweaking the RGBY mask a bit. It's not great, but oh well. Neither is the Cape Accessory.

FEARNE

The Horns ACC is a mashup of X X X. The Stave ACC is a mashup of X X and I made the acorn glow with the ghost/plumbbot shader. IIRC the Horns and Ears ACCs have different sliders, one for the Hat Slider and one for Glasses sliders, but if I didn't do that...oops?

The Faun Outfit is a frankenmesh of the TSM corset dress @aprilrainsimblr converted and the TW3 Succubus outfit converted here. I added a few different RGB control variations as I was playing around with different options.

IMOGEN

I took the Shanty Top converted here and lowered the vest mesh as it sat too high on sims' waists, lightened the too-dark Multiplier, and made the sleeves sheer. The Suspenders and Skirt both REQUIRE the SN EP for the fat/fit morphs.

LAUDNA

I made @natalia-auditore's different accessory Bloody Hands as Body Tatts that REQUIRE CmarNYC's tatt mod at MTS, to reduce the amount of layered ACCs that cause texture blurring.

The Stylus Hair is an edit I did of Gramsims' Stylus hair (X), to add Laudna's signature white streak, fix the joints, and lower the polys a bit (it's still high though). (I used a hairline makeup for the baby hairs--IDER which one.) The Top is an edit from one of EA's, tweaking the waist mesh and changing the RBGY mask & overlays. I couldn't decide if I liked the Hammer or Pickaxe ACC, so I just threw in both.

Oryn

The Left Pauldron ACC is just the left side separated from the Dragon Valley top (Camkitty's mesh edit made my life easier), same with the Mitrasi Wrist Flower ACC.

Shane Headcanons

Good ol' chicken man.

He has central heterochromia. He's got his usual green eyes with a little rim of goldy-hazel in the middle. Almost nobody notices it. The only one to point it out is Jas and maybe the farmer if they look hard enough. Marnie thinks it's something to be proud of. Heterochromia isn't very common. But honestly, he couldn't care less.

He's close(ish) with Alex. It's only because they both like sports. Nothing else. So, it sort of takes on this role of Shane being that one uncle you see every year at a formal family dinner wearing nothing but a singlet, sports shorts, sunglasses, and things. It's a lot of Alex going crazy over his team winning and Shane giving him some playing advice from ye olden days when he played.

Oh yeah, this might actually be canon, but Shane played gridball. He is shown to be a sports fan and his ten-heart event is literally at a game, so I wouldn't be surprised if he used to play. He was actually pretty good! Nobody would ever guess that he ever bothered to play the sport seeing as how unfit he looks now. Alex found out and began bombarding him with questions on his technique.

He first tried beer at a party when he was fourteen. At first, he hated it. Who would drink something that tastes like urine and gasoline? Then comes the end of high school and all of a sudden, his standards are so low to tolerate even that stuff.

He has a ton of scars. It's not from anything crazy, though. The main reasons for him getting a scar are A), he was too comfortable around Marnie's newest chickens; B), he was drunk enough to trip and land on a glass beer bottle; or C), he fell in the mud and ate shit. Most of his scars are further up his arms and legs, so they're usually not visible.

His first crush was a guy. Nothing much to say here. It's high school, he reaslises he ain't straight, cue panic.

Elliott thinks they're friends; they're not. Shane cannot STAND that man and his weird way of talking. He's seriously on the verge of dunking his stupidly handsome face in a bucket of oil. Elliott, being drunk as hell whenever they're hanging out, cannot for the life of him understand this. He'll casually wrap his arm around his shoulder and start singing sea shanties while the poor short man stands there fuming.

He plays dolls with Jas. I think this is a HC for all of us, but how could it not be? Grumpy old man having fun playing dolls with a little kid is always cute. He'll even dress up in a tutu for her. Marnie managed to get a photo once and uses it as blackmail.

RIGHT away, this is devastating. The vain determination to hold on to something in "I know there is sunrise because I am a sailor," - oof. Also, the fact that the fog is so thick he can't see the sunrise at all is awful.

Then, when he says "I dared not go below, I dared not leave the helm," all his uncertainty and just how lost and afraid he is truly comes out. I love how soft his voice gets.

"so here all night I stayed, and in" he's so good at using this little half chuckle to make me very distressed for him. Here he's laughing at himself once again, what a fool he was for not understanding, once again he was a fool to have any hope that he would be alone now and no more deaths would follow...

"in the dimness of the night I... saw... Him." CHILLS. soooooo creepy, sooooo well done.

The way he says "no man can object" just hits so hard, it feels somehow like an apology to the mate in a way even more than the line saying he was right did.

"But I am captain, and I must not leave my ship." ABSOLUTE BANGER OF A LINE. GOD. I knew it would be, but. Oh my god. He's choking up, how he almost fades away on captain, how his voice shakes somewhere between helpless laughter or tears but helpless either way. I love the long shaky breath before this line, building up his resolve. And then how he just sits with it for a couple seconds afterward, quiet, as the music grows stronger (I love the music)

And he comes back determined. He can do so little, but he will do it. He will baffle this monster in whatever way he can, he will protect his own soul though he couldn't protect any others, and he will keep his honor as well. He won't let this monster take what little he has left.

(I think part of the next line is missing, since it goes right to "-ight is coming on")

His determination holds strong, but his final lines show that this isn't a dramatic last stand, full of heroic vim and vigor. It's a long, aching, terrifying standoff, trapped alone with a monster who has killed everyone else, who has taken away the very sun, alone with only the God that the Captain already feared had abandoned him as any sort of comfort at all. He's scared and worn and he doesn't have any real hope left but he will cling to his role as captain, when nothing else is left. Dracula's laugh coming right after "God and the Blessed Virgin and the saints" and then echoing over "help a poor ignorant soul trying to do his duty...." makes it all even worse, because even as they are invoked the Count laughs about it, seemingly proves that they aren't here, they can't stop him. No one is going to help this poor, ignorant soul; and Dracula finds the idea of him trying to still do his duty hilarious.

(For now at least. If the Captain's theory on "what he may not touch" is correct then I'm sure that will annoy Dracula plenty when it stops him getting to the helm/his last victim.)

SEA SHANTY!!!!!!!! I knew it would come but!!!! So exciting. And the lyrics are so morbid. Here's a trick to catch a ___. Adding in the soft waves in the background, the way the "oo-ooh" gets more uneasy as it goes along, how they get less unified, how they start to fade away, individual voices become more distinct. And that ending is so good.
