question for mun: whats the difference between your long rp for dms and dashboard?

Good question!

Long-Term RP For dash:

It clogs up the dashboard for the people who follow me

If one of the mun's aren't feeling like long replies, then the dashboard would practically be spammed due to short responses

It can be easily cut off

If its something that can't be easily discussed because of followers who might get triggered or something, its limiting to the rp sometimes (e.g angst etc)

And it, from what I've seen, typically only lasts a few days long.

I still like it though, it gives me a chance to show my character and how they act to more people through dashboard rp.

Now...

Long-Term RP for DMs:

By long-term, I mean long term. Most of my current long-term dashes have been going on for 9+ months.

Its just between the two characters, more if the muns decide to take on more characters.

More topics can be roleplayed without having to think about whether its triggering for others as long as the two who are roleplaying are fine with it.

It doesn't clog up the dashboard with the repetitive posts or the same two people with long posts.

The text/message format is just...I like it better.

now, despite all that, Tumblr has the weird habit of deleting notifications or opening dms on your behalf so sometimes it takes longer to respond

It’s more like a day to day thing, a representation of how our characters would bond or act towards each other on a daily basis with, of course, action here and there, angst here and there etc.

Overall, I have no reason as to why I like DM long-term rp better, im trying to get out of the habit of preferring it and trying long-term dash rp as well as DMs, so we'll see how that works out. I'm just more used to it, honestly-

Hey mod: i’m making a slasher villain style OC who’s gimmick is that he was killed during his murders and was brought back as a vengeful zombie with supernatural powers, specifically he was brought to life by the devil ((who found him entertaining)) and has the ability to teleport between shadows, basic super strength and super durability, and a weakness to holy objects and an inability to walk on holy ground, i’m also thinking of adding the ability to give those who stare at him auditory and visual hallucinations based on his murders, my question is do you think that last one is considered godmodding?

Hey I saw your Draal rp post, and just out of curiosity, I was wondering what other fandoms or characters you enjoy? I've never written Draal before but you seem like an interesting person to rp with

Hello there! The bulk of the fandoms I've roleplayed with so far include Five Nights at Freddy's, Neverwinter, and Doctor Who; the latter being where I got most of my experience, but as mentioned in that rp post, I've been a fan of Tales of Arcadia for ages and I've been trying to ease my way into roleplaying in that fandom for months by carefully crafting believable and interesting scenarios. I'm really trying to create something different, larger, and more engaging with ToA. I'm not sure what you mean by enjoying other characters, but if you're referring to what other characters I would like to see my roleplay partner impersonate, wweelllll... In all the years I've RPed every partner I've had always used an OC, the two primary reasons being because of the rules and conditions of the servers we'd engage in meant making a new non-canon character was easier, and...well, they just wanted to use an OC xP Which is fine, there are some pretty interesting and complex characters out there who are really fun to interact with :) But my point is, I'll have to get back to you on that, because the Draal rp would be the very first time I'll have interacted with a canon character from a fandom, seeing as I'm trying to make this a bit of a new experience for myself and hopefully for the volunteer after implementing this new experimental storyline ^^ Who knows, maybe as time goes on I'll figure out if there are others, but for the time being, I hope this answers your question :)

I love how Astarion’s dialogue on your first long rest changes depending on if you talk to him first, second, (third?), or last.

If you talk to him after already speaking with everyone else he literally says “do you mind? I’m brooding” HE IS SULKING!!! He wants you to pay attention to him and if you don’t he literally pouts
