Super Bowl Sunday (Romanogers Version)

The whistle blows, sealing their win. But even as the confetti rains down from above in a plethora of colors and his teammates erupt in elation all around him – jumping and high-fiving and joyfully screaming over the blaring music – Steve can’t help but steal a glance at the scoreboard just to be sure.

Avengers 21-14 Guardians FINAL

They had truly done it. Against the odds, their team had pushed through a season littered with injuries and shock, last-minute trades. He takes his helmet off, his lips curling up in a smile as he shakes his head in disbelief.

“How does it feel to be a three-time Super Bowl Champion, Cap?”

He turns to see that Maria Hill, the lead anchor from SHIELD Sports, has made her way to him. She holds a microphone up as the rest of her camera crew and the Avengers’ PR team crowd around them. Impressing a seasoned veteran like Maria is no easy feat, but even he can see the touch of awe in her expression, and his pride swells just in the slightest. He chuckles, his shoulders lifting in a shrug as he contemplates her question.

He recalls the first time he had won as though it was just yesterday. The adrenaline that had lingered in his veins long after the whistle had blown and he had gotten his hands on the Lombardi. The satisfaction of having conquered his life-long dream was euphoric. The thirst to feel this high once again immediate. In that moment, all the sacrifices he had made from the grueling workouts to the missed Holidays with his family – they were all worth it.

His second win was further sweetened by the vindication. Of having proven to the media and the pundits and every person that doubted his return from injury that they were wrong. Bringing the trophy home for the Avengers was his way of repaying the fans for their continued belief in what he still had to offer and the team for standing by him after the circus that his personal life had thrown them into. Above all, though, his second ring was another means for him to show Natasha how much he valued every risk she had taken for him – for them – and for this beautiful life that they now shared.

But this time… This time feels disparate. It’s no less sweet by any means. When there are footballers who could only dream of winning the Super Bowl once, much less three times, he knows what a privilege it is for him to be standing here, victorious, at this very moment. And it’s not as though this time is any less hard-fought or miraculous as the others. In more ways than one, getting here has been harder than it’s ever been. Even so, there’s something distinct about this particular win that he can’t quite put a finger on, so he tells Maria the one thing he does know for certain.

“I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet,” he says, earning a laugh from Maria and the crowd around them. “But what I do know is that I’m so proud of this team. Every single person played their hearts out tonight and gave their absolute everything. They deserve this.”

“As do you, their fearless leader.”

“They make my job easy, that’s for sure,” he says with a grin.

“To that we can agree,” Maria says. “Let’s talk about the fans then. Any message for them?”

“Oh, definitely-”

“Daddy!”

Even in the midst of the pandemonium surrounding him, the voice is one he could pick out anywhere. Years of media training had honed his ability to tune out the loudest of distractions especially when he’s right smack in the middle of a televised interview, but not this one. He could never ignore this one.

He turns towards the sound, and he feels his face threatening to split in half with how wide his smile grows when he sees Nadia making her way towards him, her pigtails swinging from side to side as she runs as fast as her little legs will take her. Bucky is a half a step ahead, his teammate clearing a path for his daughter in the melee. Natasha lingers a few paces behind them, carrying Brady as Pietro dutifully flanks her. His eyes meet Natasha’s for the briefest of moments, and they share a smile before he crouches down, opening his arms out wide.

“There’s my girl!” he says as he scoops Nadia into his arms and rises to his feet.

“You win, Daddy!” Nadia exclaims, beaming from ear to ear. “I so proud of you!”

There’s a chorus of aww around them, but he can’t focus on anything other than how his heart feels too big for his chest right now. “Thank you, sweetheart,” he says, making Nadia squeal when he nuzzles her cheek. And, as if sensing her presence, he shifts Nadia against one hip so he can use his other hand to pull Natasha into his side just as she comes to stand next to him. His smile widens as he looks down at her and their son, who’s still somehow sleeping soundly against her chest. “Hi there.”

“Hi,” Natasha greets before smiling. “Congratulations, Cap.”

“Thank you,” he says, leaning down for a kiss. There’s a smirk on her lips when they pull away. “You’re about to say something about how sweaty I am, aren’t you?”

“More like how you might be forgetting something,” she deadpans, nodding towards the cameras when his brow furrows in confusion.

His eyes widen. “Oh, right,” he says, earning a laugh from everyone as he turns back towards Maria. “The fans. I mean, what else is there to say but thank you? Thank you for the support and the belief you gave this team.” He shakes his head. “I’m sure I speak for the entire team when I say that your support has powered us through the most difficult of challenges this season and it’s the reason why we did whatever it takes to get to this final game. We hope you enjoy this one!”

Maria nods before a playfully sly grin makes its way to her face as she adds, “And maybe start preparing for the next?”

Despite the chuckle that falls from his lips, Maria’s question gives him pause. Regardless of the season’s results, his response to this very question has been the same for as long as he can remember – a resounding hell yes! and a call for their fans to lock in for what’s to come. This time, though, he finds himself only pulling Natasha closer just as Nadia rests her head against his shoulder.

“Let’s celebrate this one first,” he says finally, and from the corner of his eye, he catches the way Natasha’s head suddenly whips towards him.

“You heard the Captain’s orders,” Maria says into the mic before nodding at him. “Thanks, Steve. Enjoy the rest of the celebrations.”

“Thanks, Maria.”

With a final smile at Maria and her crew, he drapes an arm around Natasha, leading her in the direction of the sideline. It’s when they make it out of earshot of the reporters that Natasha places a hand on his elbow, stopping him in his tracks. He knows he’s good enough to convince Maria and the rest of the country that there’s nothing more to his response other than him wanting to live in the moment. But he can’t fool his wife. And as she looks up at him now, a million and one questions swirling in her eyes, he knows without a doubt that she understands the implication of his words. She sighs. “Steve-”

A soft whimper interrupts her, and they both look down to where Brady is situated against her chest to see their son stirring awake. Natasha smiles when his eyes flutter open. “Hey, you,” she coos, lifting Brady out of his carrier. “Look who finally decided to join the party.”

Brady blinks up at her before looking around, his eyes settling on him. “Dada win?”

“Hey, Bud,” he says, moving to take Brady from Natasha’s arms. “Yes, dada won.” Brady gives him a little clap, and with a chuckle, he dusts a kiss to the little boy’s temple before doing the same to Nadia, who’s still busy taking in the lively scenery around her. He pulls both kids closer to him, reveling in the joy of just having them in his arms before letting out a contented sigh. He’s held many titles in his life from Rookie of the Year to MVP. None of them could quite hold a candle to his favorite – Dad.

When he looks back at Natasha, he finds that her expression has softened to one of pure admiration for the scene before her. “Later, okay?” he says, because yes, while he had seemingly made his mind up in a single moment of clarity, this is a discussion they need to make as a family. And they would, just not right at this moment. “We’ll talk later.”

She holds his gaze for a second longer before nodding. “Okay.”

“Get in here,” he says, smiling when Natasha just shakes her head fondly before wrapping her arms tightly around them. “Oh, I love you guys so much.”

“We love you too, Daddy,” Nadia says. “But can we get Icees now?”

He and Natasha share an amused glance, and as he looks back at Nadia, he has to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing when he sees his daughter staring patiently at him, waiting for a response. “Yes, baby girl,” he says with a chuckle. “We can get Icees now.”

Summary: when looking for your mama you find her cuddling with Steve. Natasha has to face the new challenge of telling you the truth about the new love in her life

“Mama?” You called out into the hallway and your feet padded along the floor “mommy?” You called again. As soon as auntie Kate went to use the bathroom you took the opportunity to search for your mama. You missed Natasha so much, although she had only been gone for a few hours. You knew she was still in the tower, Kate said she was busy working. “Mommy where are you?” You said as you pushed open her office door, the empty chair causing you to frown. You hobbled down the stairs to the gym, somewhere that you were not supposed to go without supervision. Maybe Natasha was training.

“Little spider?” Clint said when he heard you shuffling across the floor “what are you doing down here” he said as he came to kneel in front of you “I can’t find mommy” you frowned “do you know where she is?” You asked “is she not in her office kiddo?” Your uncle said as he pulled you to sit on your knee “no, I looked there” you drew your gaze away from Clint’s gaze “I’m sorry for coming to the gym by myself, I just wanna find mama” you sighed as you wiped your nose. Clint pulled out the handkerchief he kept special for you “it’s alright y/n” he said as he gently wiped your stuffy nose “do you want me to help you find mom?” You nodded “yes please”

You searched the kitchen, the living area, your bedroom, mommy’s bedroom and even auntie Yelena’s room but you couldn’t find Natasha anywhere. Meanwhile on the towers rooftop gardens, Clint was talking a panicked Kate down from her rambling “I thought she might have gotten up here and I was so scared!” She spat out “it’s alright, she’s down in her bedroom” Clint said “she’s waiting for me there” he guided Kate back down into the tower to your bedroom. “Y/n oh my goodness!” Your aunt said as she rushed into your bedroom “don’t you ever do that again you scared me” you dropped your gaze, thinking you were in trouble “I’m sorry auntie Katie” you mumbled “it’s ok y/n, you’re not in trouble you just gotta let someone know where you are” the two of you hugged it out and continued your search for Natasha along with Clint.

“Uncle Tony hasn’t seen her either, I’ve asked everyone!” You loudly sighed, throwing your arms into the air. “Are you sure you asked everyone angel?” Kate said as you came to settle on her lap, you racked your brain for a few moments thinking so hard you felt like your eyes would pop out. Suddenly it hit you “Uncle Steve!” You abruptly said “I didn’t ask uncle Stevie! Come one!” You jumped down onto the carpet and pulled Kate to her feet, knocking into Clint when rushing out of the room. “Woah! Where are you two going in such a hurry?” He asked “I gotta ask uncle Steve if he’s seen mama!” You called back, still pulling Kate along the corridor. Only did you let go of her hand when you reached Steve’s bedroom “Uncle Steve!” You called as you opened his door with no invitation “have you seen…” you stopped in your tracks when you finally found your lost love “mama?”

“Hey sweetheart” Natasha said as she sat up abruptly rubbing her tired eyes “are you okay?” She asked “why are you sleeping with uncle Steve?” You innocently asked, missing the way Clint chuckled at your choice of words (they weren’t exactly too far from the truth) The assassin shot daggers at Clint before turning her focus back to you “I was just having a nap darling” she said. Your inner widow sass started to come through as you stood with a large pour and tightly crossed arms “I’m not silly mama!” You said “what do you mean sweet pea?” Asked Steve “you were holding mama how uncle Clint holds auntie Laura! Have you been kissing my mommy?” You demanded. Clint and Kate took the opportunity to sneak away from the situation before you exploded into emotions “y/n baby calm down” Natasha said as she stood up from the bed “no!” You yelled “you’re my mommy! You’re only allowed to cuddle with me!” You said through angry tears “y/n don’t be rude sweetheart, mommy’s allowed to spend time with her friends too isn’t she?” Natasha asked as she came down to your level “Uncle Steve isn’t your friend! He’s your boyfriend! You’ve been spending time with him instead of me!” You said through choked sobs “baby girl mama’s allowed to spend time with other people just like you do, you gotta share remember y/n” you were still young and still learning so much, but sharing your mommy was defiantly not something you were happy about “but you’re my mama!” You cried and hurried from the room, leaving a stunned Steve and devastated Natasha, she didn’t want you to find out like this.

“Mommy doesn’t love me anymore uncle Clint!” You cried into the agents shoulder “oh y/n that’s not true!” He said “your mom loves you more than anything, and I think she loves Steve too but in a different way” Clint explained “wha-what do you mean?” You sniffled “well, you see your mommy loves you the way I love your cousins, us moms and dads have special hearts made just for you!” Your sobs started to subside as the new conversation caught your attention “they do?” You asked “they do! When you were born your mom got a brand new heart just for you so that she can give you all the love in the world” Clint continued “so you see now she has two hearts, one especially made for you and one to love another” you wiped your red eyes and shifted on Clint’s lap “I think that your mommy uses her second heart to love Steve the way I love your aunty Laura. So you see y/n your moms love for you hasn’t got smaller, she’s always going to love you no matter who else is in her life” Clint concluded his little speech with his signature smile and was rather pleased to see that you were no longer crying. “So mommy still loves me?” You asked your uncle “and she loves Steve too?” Clint nodded “I love mommy and Steve too” you said “you see, even your tiny little heart can fit so much love inside it! I think you should go find your mom and let her know that you love her” Clint suggested and you were off his lap and out the door before he could stop you.

You sprinted down the corridor, heading back to Steve’s bedroom. You turned a corner and crashed straight into a pair of legs, the force knocking you to the floor. “Y/n!” Natasha cried “I’m sorry baby I didn’t see you, are you okay?” Your moms fear only increased when you jumped up and threw your arms around her “oh I’m sorry baby, shh, it’s okay” she cooed for a moment before realising that there were no sniffles in the air “y/n?” Nat said as she pulled back from the hug. “I love you mommy!” You smiled brightly at her “I love you too baby” Natasha said, a little confused. “I’m sorry for being rude mama, I didn’t mean too” you pleaded “I just want you to still love me even if you love Steve too” you said as you pulled on your moms sweatshirt “oh y/n” Nat sighed “of course I’m still going to love you, I will always love you tiny dancer, you’re my world and no one else comes before you” your mama said as she gently kissed your forehead. “You’re mommy’s best friend and you always will be” she finished. “I know mama, uncle Clint told me about your two hearts and how one of them is just for me!” You exclaimed brightly. “Well uncle Clint is right you know” Natasha said as she lent down to touch your nose with hers. The widow was constantly impressed with Clint’s smart ways of calming you down. “Is Stevie still in his room?” You asked your mom.

Natasha led you back into Steve’s room, hand in hand. The solider sat up immediately at your presence. “Hi Stevie” you shyly said “hey y/n” Steve replied. You waddled over to his bed and climbed up to sit next to him while Natasha stood by the doorframe. “I’m sorry for being mean unc- Steve” you mumbled “that’s okay y/n” the avenger said. “I was just scared that mommy wouldn’t love me anymore, but now I know that she will because she has two hearts, one for me and one for you” you said, kicking your legs slightly. “Um- yes well that’s right you know” Steve muddled through his sentence. “Do you love my mama?” You asked “I do, very much y/n” Steve said “and you’ll always be nice to her” you said with your biggest puppy eyes “I promise I will” Steve smiled. “And you’ll share her with me?” You said “always” Steve said. You thought for a moment and glanced at your mom then back at Steve. “Will you be my papa then?” You quietly asked. Natasha felt her heart swell with love, she had never expected you to welcome Steve so easily. “Is that what you’d like?” The solider asked “yes please” you mumbled behind your sleeve “then of course I’ll be your papa” Steve smiled. You immediately climbed up and wrapped your arms around his shoulders, and shortly, Natasha came to join you both.

You always thought it would just be you and your mommy, and at first you were scared that Steve was going to take her away. Now however, you were excited to spend more time with Steve (he was secretly one of your favourite people in the avengers.) Over the next few days you did everything together and you got to see just how happy your mom was with your new papa. Natasha still had all the love in the world saved up for you, and she made sure to continue to shower you in it. You were sad when Steve had to leave for a 2 day mission and you missed him more than you thought possible. It was safe to say that you liked this new expansion of your little family, and you couldn’t wait for all the fun you were going to have together.

Hi I'm J and this is my master list of stories. I have only written several and I focus my posting mainly on Ao3 but fret not. All stories there will be posted here. :) If you don't have an Ao3 account, you can find my works here too.

I am a big fan of Dramione, Bucky Barnes, Marvel BOTH Comics and Cinematic Universe and Eddie Munson. I write with a reader insert and if I'm writing for a couple like Dramione or Romanogers; I usually put myself in the story. Yeah, it’s nothing to do with her small crush on a certain fellow senior. A metal head who is always up to no good. It’s really about saving the town she is starting to love again, yes?

➡ Here We Go Again (Sequel to Same Old Hawkins, Or Not?) 🤗💔🖤 [COMPLETED] Summary: The Summer of '85 is on the roll. Reader has started her job as a printing personnel in the Hawkins Post with the help of Nancy and Jonathan who are both in their internship as a writer and photographer respectively. Eddie on the other hand is working as a part time mechanic at Jaeger’s Auto shop while Steve continues to work at Scoop’s Ahoy with Robin alongside him.

The kids, well, they are enjoying their summer with the mall in full operation and the upcoming fair that is being planned by the Mayor. Really, as long as all of the upside down remains quiet, everything will be great.

Unfortunately, their plans are going to be in ruins when one Billy Hargrove starts to take interest in the reader. Though, it was much better if it was just some misguided infatuation but apparently there is much more into it than meets the eye.

Reader was really happy not to deal with the upside down and would face a million Billy Hargrove, in fact the rest of them would be happy not to deal with it at all. Apparently, its not done yet. It is just getting started.

Help finding a fic on AO3

It's a one shot post Endgame where an older Steve sees a younger Natasha when she's first working for Shield as is undercover in a grocery store.

He remembers in his original timeline how she told him she had messed up and he gives her a hint so she won't do so this time round.

It's a one shot but so well written and no matter what filter it prompt I use I can't find it.

Any help from the brains trust would be appreciated . I cannot show enough love to this fic. It managed to not change anything but kept the spirit of Romanogers so well

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

60.

(One shots, drabbles and ficlets/snippets/vignettes).

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

280,528 (as of 1st Nov, 2023)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Korean dramas “fandoms”.

“Sohn: The Guest”, “Voice”, “Glitch”, “Beyond Evil” and “A Time Called You” etc so far. Except for TG and “Voice”, I don’t have more than one work in the other “fandoms”.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

1. To Be a Part of You (Kang Kwon Joo/Mo Tae Gu) - Collection of related, smutty one shots.

2. Gossip (Kang Gil Young/Choi Yoon/Yoon Hwa Pyeong) - Mini one shot. There is mention of children.

3. Dying Just to Feel You by My Side (KKJ/MTG) - The starting story for the series ‘To Be A Part of You’ is in. Literal relationship negotiations (with a stalker).

4. Fly Me to The Moon (Hong Ji Hyo/Heo Bo Ra) - Collection of 100-word drabbles for this pair of chaotic, gorgeous cuties.

5. Brass Blossoms (KKJ/MTG) - Collection of 100-word drabbles.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why? Why not?

I always do.

I get very little interaction and try to respond to anyone kind enough to leave a comment (except for trolling ones).

Each and every comment is deeply appreciated.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?.

None. Am a HE/A-supremacist. I also can’t do angst, mostly due to skill issues.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All are relatively happy.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

So far, only one. On a fic for a rare pair in a relatively larger fandom. It was a mild “hate” comment(s) and was more hilarious to me than anything.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. All kinds, but mostly the vanilla flavoured ones, and not descriptively explicit. Even the “dub-con” and CNC ones are tepid.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Yes. Not crazy as much as I had lots of fun with other crack pairing(s) to fawn over.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of. I mostly write rare pairs in minuscule, obscure fandoms. Nothing worth stealing.

Stealing anything fan work is abhorrent, however, so please don’t.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. But I have translated a fic to English - from an amazing writer - for one of the rare pairs I write for.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Kang Gil Young/Choi Yoon.

I have too many favourites - from other fandoms, i.e., HaruMichi, Everlark, Mileven, Silverparry, Reylo, Romanogers, Nevmione etc, and all are special and unique to me - to put one at the top, but as one I write for (and visuals wise), KGY/CY is undoubtedly my favourite.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

You Are Not Allowed series. It is left as “completed” because I am just a snippet/single scene/one shot scribbler, but there is supposed to be an endgame there that I doubt I will ever write for again, though the ending is there in my mind.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Boringly straightforward and dry. It is not a strength but one I have to live with.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot! Dialogue! Prose. Description of scenes, objects, characters. Well, basically everything.

I don’t have any pretensions I can write (or ever had any aspirations for writing), but am desperate to have my rare pairs occupy my mind for longer while I fixate on them, so… and scribbling word vomit is quite fun, so I scribble whenever my rare pairs visit me.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Haven’t done it.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Sohn: The Guest.

20. Favourite fics you’ve written?

A Verb in Perfect View

I like most of my fics - not because they are any good - just because they are the few available for my rare pairs. “Beggars can’t be choosers” and all that crock. 😆

I thought the Romanogers fandom was small, but then I joined other fandoms that are truly small. For example in AO3 one has 10 pages, then 18 and the last one 37, obviously they’re not all works of them as the main couple, so it’s painful. And Romanogers while not the biggest you have constant new stories, you have a ton of AU’s, canon divergences, and so many scenarios. I long for some AU’s in these other fandoms but I’m definitely not a writer. And I say this because before Romanogers I only read works of this canon pairing that has like 600 pages of works in AO3, so again I was fed all kinds of AU’s and canon divergences 😅 I heard people say that Steve/Nat were not popular and had a small amount of followers but honestly I think that’s a lie, there are canon mcu couples that have very little works in AO3 and they’re mostly one shots (I’m looking at you Scott/Hope 🥹). So what I mean with all the ranting is that I’m so thankful for all the writers in the fandom that keep gifting us with awesome works 💖💖💖

I am thankful for all the writers past and present who fed and who continue to feed the Romanogers fandom with amazing content as well, anon! We truly reap the benefits of their labor of love.

And hey, I wasn’t a writer either when I decided to take a crack at writing my own fic back in 2016, so if you’re up for writing your own, I definitely encourage you to do so. Create that story you’ve always wanted to read. I’m sure the fandoms you’re part of (regardless of size) will appreciate it. :-)

So far, no angsty endings.

Well, they all have/will have a happy ending, in their way.

Not so far. I thought I maybe would, after chapter 8 of A fight of love and glory

I do. I don't think I'm the best at it, but i try to improve. What kind? It's F/M and i think it's not too explicit or too mild.

No, at least so far.

I currently have two WIPs, one I'm currently posting and another one I'll post as soon as I can write more and envision more of an arc for it/its ending. But i'm confident i'll finish it.

There's a WIP in my mind 😂 that I don't know if I'll ever be able to bring it to life. It was insipired by the book All the light we cannot see and it was basaically Faith being blind but witnessing her parents' love for each other in many other ways (sight not being necessary)

16-What are your writing strengths?

I’m not sure, maybe cute, lovely, fluffy scenes? I also loving coming up with new ideas.

17-What are your writing weaknesses?

I'd like to get better at smut, or at least believeing that what i achieve is good enough. And definitely angst!

18-Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I try not to, but if I need it for the story, I'll do my best to search and be accurate.

19-First fandom you wrote for?

I wrote a one-shot or two-shot (I don't remember) many years ago for Conviction. I'm sure it wasn't good lol.

20-Favorite fic you've ever written?

I'm going to cheat here, because I don't have many

I like Serendipity because it was my first one ❤

I think with A fight for love and glory i've been more able to focus on the story as a whole and its plot rather than thinking about little scenes.

AND I have an unposted WIP i love simply because it's so sweet and heartwarming.
