When Domini was a wee small child, her favorite movie was Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

I made my momma rent it all the time until she bought a copy and then I wore that shit out because it was VHS and that used to happen.

If you haven’t seen it, you should. Just ignore the fact that Kevin Costner is not British and is not even doing an accent and know that Alan Rickman rewrote his script with a friend to make his scenes absolutely fucking amazing.

But this is one of those formative things where we can all see how my romantic tendencies came to be.

At the beginning of the movie this guy was laughing at his friend for having been willing to die over a woman and by the end he is throwing himself through a window and sword fighting to the death for his person. And when it’s done, she looks at him and says, “You came for me...You’re alive.” And this son of a bitch looks back at her and says, “I would die for you.” And little me was FLOORED.

...and Bryan Adams’s “Everything I Do” became my favorite song.
