yeah i wrote another fic in the EVERLASTING SUMMER universe in a fevered haze!! what of it babes!!

behold, queer pirates on their howl's moving castle ship, loving each other & forming a found family & raising a new generation of pirates!!

look. if you're still here at this point you know what this series is about. you know what i'm about. let's not pretend here. i want them to have a ship full of babies and that's what they're going to have.

seriously though, i wrote in the notes on sickly sweet that if you had anything you wanted to see, let me know, and i got like half a dozen responses saying "give them more babies." so......... what was i meant to do???

also i was asked for more fluff, and the twins' first birthday party, and also a very specific request that i did end up using, which is also a warning for this section. if you don't want to be spoiled, don't read the notes, but i put the warnings in the notes at the beginning of the fic on ao3. make sure to read to warn yourself!! i'm just covering my bases in warning on that.

also also like i said. if you're still here. you're probably like me. i am writing this extremely indulgently and i hope everyone enjoys this because i am enjoying it very much. i don't care how indulgent it is. every time i think "is this too self-indulgent?" i am going to make it MORE self-indulgent. just watch me. i swear i will

Wednesday May 3.

Landscapes.

Let's face it, we've all been there.

But if we are being honest with ourselves, there are fewer pleasures in life as simple, or indeed as great, than taking a moment to stare out over the wire/abyss/majesty/spectacle/vista/band/other of your horizon, taking a deep breath, and thinking. Or indeed not thinking—just staring out, empty and happy as a beach ball, yet knowing how aloof and unknowable and sexy and intriguing you must look to the hikers/dog walkers/wildlife/insects/others around you. You just wouldn't get it, your body language appears to say.

This is because life offers no pleasures quite like a good #landscape. It's a home and retreat for every reason, every season, and indeed everyone. All are welcome to stand or sit and marvel at the extraordinary, often moving sights offered by millions of years of natural, and very slow, changes in rock formations above and below the crust of the earth.

We will leave you with these fantastic images for now, and if you ever happen to see us avoiding bae, romancing our melancholic solitude, and gazing out over the horizon, don't hesitate to say hi.

Forever annoyed that "don't speak over marginalized people", the notion that marginalized people are already spoken over, and their oppressors need to actually listen and learn before speaking about complicated topics and need to do so in support of not OVER them, so quickly turned into "I'm not x so I can't speak on x issues". Like the "don't speak on this if you're not this" started out so well meaning because it was about people needing to actually take the time to learn before talking about issues they didn't previously understand! Now it's just an excuse for people to never learn about the issues minorities face or to actually stand up for them in any meaningful way

#forming an opinion is so natural and also important. you can't just stay 'neutral' on everything just because marginalized groups arent #a collective that either fully agrees or fully disagrees with something #you will always have 'lol im x and i dont care about bigotry' folks. always. always always always #you've gotta use your god damned brain and do what's right instead of going 'im not allowed to have an opinion on this'#it's literally just looped around to ignoring issues again. like saying 'racism is bad' isnt good enough when you stay quiet #when your friend is being racist because they're a poc being racist to another poc #and that situation is too 'unclear' for you #ive seen that happen a ton. fucking get over it. yes they're going to respond negatively to being called racist literally everyone does #get over that fear of backlash and stick up for people!!!#this is why radqueers are a plague. their entire stance is 'we dont care enough to think so everything is good and okay'#and has done horrible shit like spread RAMPANT misinformation about mental disorders such as DID #which makes life so much harder for people with DID. and all disorders as they get romanticized instead of actually understood #so the people with the '''bad symptoms''' get shunned #the amount of times I've heard horror stories of actual systems getting abused and forced into all kinds of shit because of endos.......#anyway neutral stances are for things that don't really hurt people or dont matter or #for when youre in the position of actually learning and forming a position #which in that case its meant to be temporary. temporary!!!!!#radqueers dni

Light is truly a thing of beauty. Sometimes when I feel I can’t bear the world anymore I see the way light catches on to a window or douses a corner and it seems that perhaps things really will be okay. It’s such a simple thing yet at times it is everything. I cannot explain it and perhaps there is no need. But nothing else is quite the same. I suppose this is why we speak of the light at the end of the tunnel.

the city life was something i used to romanticize on the daily but recently i think i've figured out that it's actually not for me bc i hate people and dealing with them on such small and crowded spaces is fucking annoying lol. anymore i find peace in the isolated and quiet places a lot more

#i used to want to move to ny when i got older but now i realize i'd basically hate it there lol #i'd like to go somewhere quiet in europe or vermont maybe #my city used to be smaller so i'd romanticize the fuck outta big cities and the night life but i see now i am cut out for neither lol #my city's bigger now with more people than ever and it annoys tf outta me #i don't feel bad about it though bc it just shows how much i've grown and how i know more about myself now #personal

i hope i'm still adding to this series on the day i die. i love this family. i would do anything for them. i have a bunch of half-finished fics about them to add to this series. also lots of half-formed daydreams about them. i am constantly thinking about them. they have consumed me. and thus i have impulsively written over 7k in one sitting about them and then posted all of it unedited. yet again. as i do
