It’s that time again, out with the old and in with the new. Thank you @taylorgrace for hooking up my three quarter shots all those years ago, they have served me well. Your unparalleled talent will carry you for years to come. But I want to tell you a special story about the head shots. I normally update my head shots in every odd year but this time I opted not to in order to pay tribute to my best male friend and photography mentor @1reallifemedia Ron Morales. Like many of those who were close to him I’m still grieving his untimely passing and often struggle getting through my photo shoots without thinking about him and all of our adventures together both on and off the set. He wasn’t just a mentor but someone I could truly rely on with life hit the fence at its worst. He never looked at me as someone he had to deal with because I’m younger than him but always viewed me as an equal. His talent and acute eye he had for noticing the smallest detail made our shoots more engaging for me as I grew into my photography career. Often his style will be imitated but it will never be duplicated. As I wrote in your memory book “you taught me the flash, but you are my light”. I miss you my friend.
